Rebounds with big Week 13 effort
Lamb caught seven of nine targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 31-28 win over Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
George Pickens led the Cowboys in targets once again, but Lamb paced the team's pass-catchers in receptions and yards, capping his performance with a 15-yard TD from Dak Prescott in the first quarter. It's the fourth time in nine games this season Lamb has hit for triple-digit yards, and the issues he had hanging onto the ball against the Eagles last week were nowhere to be found. The 26-year-old wideout will take a 51-744-3 line on 81 targets into a Week 14 clash with the Lions.
Nov 23, 2025
Picks up 75 yards
Lamb recorded four receptions on 11 targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the Cowboys in targets, though he was outpaced in every other statistic by George Pickens. Positively, Lamb recorded a 48-yard catch late in the third quarter that helped set up a key touchdown as Dallas came back from a three-score deficit. However, much like his performance in Week 1 against the Eagles, Lamb's performance was defined by a few uncharacteristic drops. While Lamb has only one 100-yard performance in five games since returning from an ankle sprain, he has at least 66 receiving yards in every contest in that span.
Nov 17, 2025
Second touchdown of season
Lamb recorded five receptions on seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 33-16 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was sidelined for the Cowboys' opening possession for disciplinary reasons per Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com, but he rebounded for a solid effort. George Pickens led the team in targets, receptions and yards, though Lamb still managed to make an impact with an 18-yard touchdown early in the first quarter while also logging another long gain of 23 yards. While Pickens may be the preferred option occasionally, Lamb has been very steady by logging at least 65 yards with two scores across four games since he returned from a sprained ankle.
Nov 3, 2025
Paces pass catchers in loss
Lamb brought in seven of 12 targets for 85 yards in the Cowboys' 27-17 loss to the Cardinals on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the Cowboys across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets while also contributing a team-high 33-yard reception. The overall numbers were certainly solid from a fantasy perspective, but they came in a disappointing home loss that dropped the Cowboys to two games under .500. Lamb has back-to-back seven-catch tallies and no fewer than 74 receiving yards in any non-injury-shortened game this season, and he'll draw a highly favorable matchup coming out of Dallas' Week 10 bye when the Cowboys face the Raiders on the road on Monday night, Nov. 17.
Oct 26, 2025
Seven catches in Week 8 loss
Lamb caught seven of 10 targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 44-24 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the Cowboys in targets and came up just four receiving yards short of George Pickens' team lead, but this was a quiet game by Lamb's lofty standards, as he had at least 110 receiving yards in each of the three previous games he finished this season. Denver's robust pass defense did well to slow down Dallas' aerial attack; Lamb drew a couple of pass interference penalties in the end zone, but the Cowboys didn't produce a passing touchdown until backup quarterback Joe Milton came in with the game already decided in the fourth quarter. Lamb's likely to face less sticky coverage in Week 9, when the Cowboys return home to host the Cardinals on Monday Night Football.
Oct 19, 2025
Drops third 100-yard game in return
Lamb finished with five receptions on eight targets for 110 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Lamb made a triumphant return from an ankle injury that forced him to miss the Cowboys' last three contests. The superstar wideout looked every bit of his usual self on the field, pacing Dallas in targets and receiving yards while ripping off a 74-yard reception for his first touchdown of the season. The Oklahoma State product is averaging 7.0 receptions and 110.7 yards in the three starts he has been able to complete. A healthy Lamb will have to outplay lockdown corner Patrick Surtain in order to record his fourth 100-yard game of the year when the Cowboys visit the Broncos next Sunday.
Oct 17, 2025
Cleared to face Washington
Lamb (ankle) was a full practice participant Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Washington, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb apparently wasn't kidding when he told reporters that he's ready to play and doesn't anticipate any limitations. He even upgraded to full participation at the end of the week, following limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. Fellow Cowboys wideout KaVontae Turpin (foot) is also cleared to return this week, potentially pushing Jalen Tolbert and/or Ryan Flournoy to the bench.
Oct 17, 2025
Expects to play
Lamb (ankle) said Thursday that he plans to play in Sunday's game against the Commanders without any snap limitations, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb said he could've played last week at Carolina but would've been limited. He returned to practice this week, listed as limited Wednesday and Thursday, with the expectation that he'll partake again Friday in some capacity. It remains to be seen if the Cowboys agree with Lamb's optimism about his Week 7 status.
Oct 16, 2025
Stays limited Thursday
Lamb (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb now has put together back-to-back capped sessions as he seeks his first game action since Week 3 due to a high left-ankle sprain. Fellow WR KaVontae Turpin (foot) also has been limited this week, meaning the Cowboys' receiving corps has a chance to be fully operational Sunday against the Commanders. In the end, though, Friday's injury report will provide insight into Lamb's odds to return this weekend.
Oct 15, 2025
Listed as limited
Lamb (ankle) was a limited participant Wednesday in his return to practice, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, with Lamb practicing for the first time since he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 3 loss at Chicago. Fellow Cowboys wide receiver KaVontae Turpin (foot) also returned to practice Wednesday, potentially pushing Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy further down the depth chart. It isn't clear at this point if the Cowboys expect Lamb and/or Turpin to be ready for Sunday's home game against the Commanders.
Oct 15, 2025
In line to practice Wednesday
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Lamb (ankle) is expected to practice Wednesday, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
After Schottenheimer said Monday the Cowboys were "hopeful" to get Lamb back on the practice field this week, his comments two days later were a bit more definitive, implying that the team's No. 1 WR is drawing closer to his first game action since he suffered a high left-ankle sprain during a Week 3 loss at Chicago. Assuming Lamb does practice Wednesday, he likely will go down as a limited participant.
Oct 13, 2025
Could practice Wednesday
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday he's "hopeful" about the chances of Lamb (ankle) returning Week 7 versus the Commanders and said the plan is for the star wide receiver to practice Wednesday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb looks set to return to practice for the first time since he sustained a left high-ankle sprain Week 3 in Dallas' loss to the Bears, and to tentatively return to action after having missed three consecutive games. Whether Lamb is indeed able to retake the field versus Washington on Sunday, and how large a workload he's able to handle if so, will come down to the extent of his practice activity. In addition to George Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson, wide receiver Ryan Flournoy has benefited from increased opportunities on offense in recent weeks, though his targets will stand to diminish once Lamb is cleared to retake the field.
Oct 12, 2025
Has 'chance to play' Week 7
Lamb (ankle) remains out for Sunday's game at Carolina, but he's getting closer to a return to action and "has a chance" to play Week 7 versus the Commanders, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Since sustaining a left high-ankle sprain early in a Week 3 loss to the Bears, Lamb hasn't logged any practice activity and will wind up missing a third consecutive game Sunday. However, Lamb seemed to show some improvement over the past week, with the wideout appearing to amp up the intensity of his resistance training off to the side during the portions of practice that were open to the media. At this stage, Lamb is still looking like far from a lock to play next Sunday versus Washington, with one source describing the wideout as "50-50" for that contest, per Pelissero. Lamb will almost certainly need to return to practice during the upcoming week as at least a limited participant in order to put himself on a path to playing against the Commanders.
Oct 10, 2025
Ruled out for Week 6
Lamb (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
He still hasn't practice since suffering a high-ankle sprain in a Week 3 loss to the Bears. With Lamb and KaVontae Turpin (foot) both ruled out again, the Cowboys figure to deploy George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy as their top three wide receivers.
Oct 9, 2025
Still not practicing
Lamb (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
According to Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News, Lamb continues to focus on resistance training versus actual drills on the practice field, and he'll have just one more chance for on-field work Friday before the Cowboys potentially make a ruling on his availability for Week 6 action. If Lamb is listed as out ahead of Sunday's game at Carolina, wideouts George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy, tight end Jake Ferguson and running back Javonte Williams will be the primary pass catchers at quarterback Dak Prescott's disposal.
Oct 8, 2025
Remains sidelined at practice
Lamb (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
While Lamb hasn't logged an official practice rep since sustaining a high left-ankle sprain during a Week 3 loss in Chicago, he's been able to do some resistance training for roughly one week, signaling that he's closing in on a return to on-field work. Until that occurs, though, his odds to play on upcoming game days remain unknown. During Lamb's two-game absence, WR George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson have dominated QB Dak Prescott's attention.
Oct 3, 2025
Out again in Week 5
Lamb (ankle) officially has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at the Jets, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has yet to practice since suffering a high left-ankle sprain Week 3 at Chicago, but he resumed rehab work on the field as of Wednesday, potentially signaling that he may be able to return to action as soon as a Week 6 matchup with the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 12. With KaVontae Turpin (foot) also out this weekend, the Cowboys will rely on WR George Pickens, TE Jake Ferguson and WR Jalen Tolbert to fuel the passing game.
Oct 3, 2025
Trending toward another absence
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Friday that the Cowboys don't expect Lamb (ankle) to play in Sunday's game at the Jets, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After making an early exit from a Week 3 loss at Chicago, Lamb was diagnosed with a high left-ankle sprain, which typically is accompanied by a multi-week absence. He already missed this past Sunday's tie with the Packers, but he was able to resume rehab work on the field as of this Wednesday, marking the first notable progress in his recovery effort. Ultimately, the Cowboys can make a ruling on Lamb's status for Week 5 as soon as they post Friday's injury report.
Oct 2, 2025
Remains DNP at practice
Lamb (ankle) was a non-participant at practice Thursday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has yet to mix into drills since picking up a high left-ankle sprain during a Week 3 loss in Chicago, but he was able to handle rehab work for a second consecutive day Thursday, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. The Cowboys ruled out Lamb on their final Week 4 injury report last Friday, so a similar decision may come down once this Friday's report is posted. WR George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson figure to be QB Dak Prescott's favorite targets for as long as Lamb is sidelined.
Oct 1, 2025
Still sidelined at practice
Lamb (ankle) officially didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
On a positive note, Lamb ditched his walking boot and resumed on-field work Wednesday, specifically with resistance bands, per Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com. Prior to the session, coach Brian Schottenheimer told Jon Machota of The Athletic that Lamb is "progressing well" in his recovery from the high left-ankle sprain that he sustained during a Week 3 loss in Chicago, but the Cowboys also will "see how the week goes" before making a call on his Week 5 status. Lamb likely will need to mix into some drills Thursday and/or Friday in order to put himself in a position to return to action, but the Cowboys' final injury report of the week may provide some clarity on that front.
Oct 1, 2025
Cowboys taking wait-and-see approach
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Wednesday that Lamb (ankle) is "progressing well," but the Cowboys will "see how the week goes" before making a decision on his status for Week 5, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite reports that Lamb suffered a high left-ankle sprain during a Week 3 loss at Chicago, the Cowboys waited until last Friday to rule out the wide receiver for this past Sunday's eventual tie with the Packers. It remains to be seen if the team proceeds in a similar manner this week, but Lamb technically will have three chances to mix into drills before Friday's practice report potentially makes a ruling on his availability for Sunday's game at the Jets.
Sep 26, 2025
Ruled out
Lamb (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Green Bay, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reports suggest Lamb will miss multiple games and possibly even be placed on injured reserve, but the Cowboys waited until Friday to rule him out for Week 4. His absence leaves more playing time for WRs Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy, with WR George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson also getting boosts in target-share projection.
Sep 26, 2025
Remains DNP on Friday
Lamb (ankle) remained sidelined for Friday's practice, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is expected to be ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Packers, as he's logged a trio of DNPs this week following last Sunday's ankle injury against the Bears. Expect the Cowboys to rely on George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy at wide receiver while Lamb is out.
Sep 25, 2025
Another DNP on Thursday
Lamb (ankle) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb now has missed both practices this week due to the high left-ankle sprain that's expected to sideline him for 3-to-4 weeks. However, the Cowboys have yet to make a ruling on his status for a Week 4 matchup with the Packers, something that may be confirmed as soon as the team posts its final injury report of the week Friday, or as late as 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. No matter when it happens, the Dallas passing game likely will feature WR George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson for at least the next few games, with WRs Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin also poised for larger roles.
Sep 24, 2025
No practice Wednesday
Lamb (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to the high left ankle sprain that he suffered early on during this past Sunday's loss at Chicago. Since then, all of Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and coach Brian Schottenheimer haven't said anything definitive regarding Lamb's status for a Week 4 showdown with the Packers, but Schottenheimer told Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site on Wednesday, "We can beat the Packers without CeeDee [Lamb} and [RG Tyler Booker] and the guys we're missing." Dallas can rule out Lamb at any point, but the team may wait until it posts its final injury report of the week Friday before making a decision on that front.
Sep 22, 2025
Likely out Sunday, per coach
When discussing Lamb (ankle) Monday, coach Brian Schottenheimer said it "looks like he's gonna miss some time," while noting that it's "unlikely" that the wideout will play Sunday against the Packers, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Lamb is reportedly dealing with a high left ankle sprain and could miss 3-to-4 weeks, but for now the Cowboys have yet to officially rule out the wideout for Week 4 action. For any length of time Lamb is sidelined, added snaps behind George Pickens and Jalen Tolbert will be available for KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy.
Sep 22, 2025
Expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks
Lamb is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to the high-ankle sprain he suffered during Sunday's loss to the Bears, though the Cowboys haven't yet officially ruled him out for Week 4 against the Packers, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday that the Cowboys would "would love to have [Lamb] back for Green Bay," per Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News, though Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the star wide receiver is considered unlikely for Week 4 and will instead be evaluated within the next 10-to-14 days. While a 3-to-4 week absence seems realistic given the severity of Lamb's injury, it appears the team may hold out hope he's able to manage an earlier return, and thus not place him on IR. In any case, George Pickens and TE Jake Ferguson will figure to step up as the leader of Dallas' passing attack until Lamb is ready to retake the field, with wideouts Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin also likely for bumps in volume.
Sep 22, 2025
Dealing with high-ankle sprain
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday that Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday's loss to the Bears, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb said following Sunday's loss that he hasn't ruled himself out for Week 4, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the star wide receiver's injury isn't as significant as it initially appeared when he got his ankle rolled up versus Chicago. That said, a high-ankle sprain is an injury generally severe enough to warrant time on the sideline. It appears as though the Cowboys intend to continue evaluating Lamb before making a decision on his status for Week 4's contest against the Packers. Jones said the team "would love to have [Lamb] back for Green Bay, but at the same time we also have to understand the injury is what it is," per Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News.
Sep 21, 2025
Likely avoided major injury
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said after Sunday's loss to the Bears the early word on Lamb's ankle injury is positive, and Lamb is believed to have avoided a serious issue, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones didn't offer a whole lot in terms of a Lamb update, but the training staff stated Lamb's injury isn't as serious as it could have been, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. Lamb got his ankle rolled up underneath him in the first half against Chicago and tried to return but lasted one play before he was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Lamb will undoubtedly undergo further testing in the coming days ahead of next Sunday night's game against the Packers.
Sep 21, 2025
Ruled out of Sunday's game
Lamb (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game in Chicago, Erin Andrews of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb injured his left ankle on a one-yard carry midway through the first quarter and exhibited a visible limp thereafter. He was able to return to the game for one play at the start of the second quarter but didn't look like his normal dynamic self. He then was spotted without a helmet walking slowly around the sidelines before the Cowboys ruled him out just after halftime. George Pickens is in line for more targets moving forward, while KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy will be the candidates to take on more snaps.
Sep 21, 2025
Injures ankle Sunday
Lamb is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bears due to an ankle injury, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to sustaining the injury, Lamb wasn't targeted in the contest. In his absence, George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy are the Cowboys' available WRs versus Chicago.
Sep 14, 2025
Tops century mark in OT win
Lamb caught nine of 11 targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
While his final numbers were overshadowed by Malik Nabers' 9-167-2 line, Lamb came up big for the Cowboys when he needed to and led his team in receiving yards while tying Jake Ferguson for the team lead in catches. Lamb has begun the season with back-to-back 100-yard performances, but he's still looking for his first TD heading into a Week 3 clash with a Bears defense that just got torched by Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Lions.
Sep 5, 2025
Bittersweet 100-yard effort in loss
Lamb secured seven of 13 targets for 110 yards in the Cowboys' 24-20 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The final line is certainly aesthetically pleasing for fantasy purposes, but it's a couple of the targets that Lamb failed to corral that loom largest over the Cowboys' surprisingly close loss. The star wideout couldn't find the handle on a crisp Dak Prescott third-down throw on the first play of the fourth quarter, and he subsequently saw a perfectly timed lob down the left sideline on fourth down skirt through his hands as he dove for the ball just past the two-minute warning. Lamb did quickly get his first 100-yard effort of the season on the board, and despite his untimely drops, he'll naturally be in line for another busy afternoon when the Cowboys host the Giants in their Week 2 home opener on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Aug 22, 2025
Not slated to suit up Friday
Lamb isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason contest against the Falcons, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb thus won't see any exhibition action ahead of the Cowboys' season opener Thursday, Sept. 4 at Philadelphia. Since he was selected in the first round of the 2020 Draft, he has four 1,000-yard campaigns under his belt, three of which he also surpassed 100 catches and averaged nine TDs per year in those seasons. Such output makes him a consensus first-round pick in the vast majority of fantasy drafts.
Aug 9, 2025
Not in line to play Saturday
Lamb is among the key Dallas players not slated to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Rams, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Archer, the same applies to QB Dak Prescott, RB Javonte Williams, WRs George Pickens and KaVontae Turpin, as well as TE Jake Ferguson. Lamb's next chance to see game action will arrive Aug. 16 against the Ravens.
Jul 31, 2025
Looks locked in during camp
Lamb already appears ready for Week 1 as one of the standout performers for the Cowboys to begin training camp, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It shouldn't be a surprise that the Cowboys' top wideout has looked good, as Lamb has made four straight Pro Bowls while topping 1,100 receiving yards in each of those seasons. The 26-year-old still finds ways to try and improve, however. "I had one drop a couple days ago," Lamb said Wednesday about his sole drop so far in practice. "It sucked. I hate it. It made me start all the way over." He saw his production drop last year along with the rest of the Cowboys' passing game, in part due to Dak Prescott's torn hamstring. If the quarterback can stay healthy this time around, Lamb could come close to the career-best 135-1,749-12 line he delivered in 2023.
Mar 4, 2025
Agrees to contract restructure
Lamb (shoulder) and the Cowboys agreed to terms Tuesday on a restructured contract that will create roughly $20 million in salary cap space for the team, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is working his way back from an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, which caused him to miss the final two regular-season games of the 2024 campaign, but he figures to have fully recovered from by the time Dallas' offseason activities begin. The Pro Bowl wideout posted a 101-1,194-6 receiving line on 152 targets across 15 regular-season appearances last season, despite only being paired with quarterback Dak Prescott for eight of those games before the signal-caller was forced to undergo surgery to address a partial avulsion of his right hamstring. Returning Lamb and Prescott to full health will, alone, provide reason for optimism entering the 2025 campaign under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, whose offensive scheme promises an uptick in play-action and improvements in the running game. The Cowboys also seems solid candidates to add offensive playmakers in free agency and/or the 2025 NFL Draft, moves which Lamb's restructure could help facilitate.
Dec 28, 2024
Officially placed on IR
Lamb (shoulder) has been placed on IR by the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys previously announced that Lamb will be sidelined for the team's final two games of the season, but the star wideout isn't expected to require surgery to address an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, per Jane Slater of NFL Network. With Lamb sidelined, Brandin Cooks, Jalen Tolbert (finger), Jalen Brooks (knee) KaVontae Turpin, Ryan Flournoy and Jonathan Mingo are the team's rostered wide receivers ahead of Week 17 action.
Dec 26, 2024
Out for season with shoulder injury
The Cowboys announced Thursday that Lamb will be sidelined for the final two games of the season but isn't expected to require surgery to address an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb initially injured his shoulder in a Nov. 3 loss to the Falcons, but he had been playing through the issue in the last seven games while accruing a 48-534-2 receiving line on 68 targets while tacking on an additional 18 yards on four carries. However, he was limited to a season-low offensive snap share of 55 percent in this past Sunday's 26-24 win over the Buccaneers, and additional exams and scans on his shoulder earlier this week showed that his injury had worsened. Lamb would likely push through the issue and continue playing if the 7-8 Cowboys were still in the playoff hunt, but he'll instead get a head start on his rehabilitation. He's projected to make a full recovery from the injury and should be available for the start of the Cowboys' offseason program.
Dec 26, 2024
Doesn't practice Thursday
Lamb (shoulder) isn't taking part in Thursday's practice, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
This follows a listed DNP for Lamb on Wednesday's practice estimate, which is more work than he's typically missed since coming down with an AC joint injury in his shoulder back in Week 9. As a result, he'll have just one more day to mix into drills this week before the Cowboys potentially tag him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Philadelphia.
Dec 25, 2024
Listed as DNP to begin week
Lamb (shoulder) was estimated as a non-participant on Wednesday's injury report, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has gutted through an AC joint injury in his shoulder since Week 9, but he's still suited up for every game in the interim, accumulating a 48-534-2 line on 68 targets over the last seven games. He hasn't missed a beat with QB Cooper Rush under center in place of Dak Prescott, but Lamb again will get some rest to kick off Week 17 prep.
Dec 23, 2024
Tops 100 yards again
Lamb (shoulder) recorded seven receptions on eight targets for 105 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Lamb dominated the Buccaneers in the first half by posting six receptions for 100 yards, highlighted by long receptions of 34 and 52 yards -- both of which set up for points for Dallas. However, he was once again slowed in the second half by a lingering shoulder injury that has limited his snaps in several recent games. Despite that, Lamb has still topped 100 yards in consecutive contests heading into a Week 17 divisional matchup against the Eagles.
Dec 19, 2024
Full practice Thursday
Lamb (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has been tending to an AC joint injury in his shoulder since Week 9, which resulted in a cap on his reps to begin Week 16 prep. However, he got back to full participation Thursday, clearing him to take on the Buccaneers on Sunday. Lamb has a nice on-paper matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that has conceded the third-most catches (192) to opposing wide receivers in 14 games this season.
Dec 18, 2024
Listed as limited Wednesday
Lamb (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb continues to operate with a cap on his practice reps, as he's done most weeks since initially suffering an AC joint injury in his shoulder Week 9. In six games in the meantime, he's racked up a 41-429-2 line on 60 targets. Lamb will have two more opportunities this week to practice fully or otherwise risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers.
Dec 15, 2024
Big game against Panthers
Lamb recorded nine receptions on 13 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was peppered with targets throughout the game, as he accounted for 116 of Cooper Rush's 214 passing yards. He delivered long gains of 28 and 20 yards, while also finding the end zone from 14 yards away to tally the Cowboys' first touchdown of the game. Most importantly, Lamb looked to be healthier after being slowed by a shoulder injury for the last several weeks.
Dec 13, 2024
Cleared to play
Lamb (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Carolina, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb will continue playing through an AC joint sprain that he initially suffered Week 9. He aggravated the injury a few weeks ago, but that hasn't impacted his playing time or target volume in subsequent games.
Dec 12, 2024
Limited again Thursday
Lamb (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Since sustaining an AC joint issue in his shoulder Week 9, Lamb has had his practice reps impacted on occasion, including back-to-back capped sessions to begin Week 15 prep. He's still suited up for each of the Cowboys' ensuing five games, reeling in 32 of 47 passes from QB Cooper Rush for 313 yards and one touchdown while adding four carries for 18 yards. Friday's injury report will clarify whether or not Lamb enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game in Carolina.
Dec 11, 2024
Still tending to shoulder issue
Lamb was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
An AC joint injury in Lamb's shoulder has flared up from time to time since he sustained the initial injury Week 9 in Atlanta. In five games in the meantime, all with Cooper Rush under center, Lamb has racked up 32 catches (on 47 targets) for 313 yards and one touchdown and four carries for 18 more yards. Lamb may need to practice in full Thursday and/or Friday to enter the weekend without a designation for Sunday's contest at Carolina.
Dec 9, 2024
Productive in Week 14 loss
Lamb brought in six of seven targets for 93 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for one yard in the Cowboys' 27-20 loss to the Bengals on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb paced the Cowboys in receptions, receiving yards and targets while also recording a first-quarter 11-yard touchdown grab on fourth down. The star wideout continued to display solid chemistry with Cooper Rush, and Monday night's total tied Lamb's highest since Rush took over starting quarterback duties for Dak Prescott (IR-hamstring). Lamb heads into a favorable Week 15 road matchup against the Panthers with at least six catches in seven of the last eight contests and double-digit targets on five occasions in that span.
Dec 7, 2024
All set for Monday
Lamb (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Monday's contest against the Bengals, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was confident earlier this week that he'd be able to play in the primetime matchup, and he's now poised to enter an incredibly enticing fantasy position as the primary focal point for an offense that likely will need to move the ball through the air. The All-Pro wideout has gutted through a difficult shoulder injury since Week 9 and has failed to play more than 83 percent of the snaps in all but one of the last four games as a result, but he's effectively in must-play territory regardless given how porous Cincinnati's defense has been against the pass all season.
Dec 6, 2024
Returns to limited practice
Lamb (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Friday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb said Thursday that he'll play in Monday's game against the Bengals, having regained full range of motion and strength in the shoulder that he re-injured ruing a Week 13 win over the Giants. He initially suffered an AC joint sprain Week 9 at Atlanta, but he's played in every game this season and doesn't seem especially amenable to shutting things down early amidst a disappointing season for the Cowboys.
Dec 5, 2024
Officially no practice Thursday
Lamb (shoulder) officially didn't practice Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb initially injured his right shoulder Week 9 in Atlanta, but he's been able to suit up in the ensuing four contests with Cooper Rush taking over for Dak Prescott (hamstring) under center, compiling a 26-220-0 line on 40 targets over the last four games. During the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day win against the Giants, he again was seen clutching the same shoulder after taking a hard fall in the second half. On Thursday, coach Mike McCarthy told Jon Machota of The Athletic that Lamb would be limited in practice, and the wide receiver himself relayed to Machota that he has full range of motion and strength back in the shoulder. "As far as Monday goes, I'll be fine by then," Lamb added. Despite not practicing after all Thursday, he'll have two more opportunities to mix into drills this week before Monday's contest against the Bengals.
Dec 5, 2024
Anticipates playing Monday
Lamb (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice but expects to play Monday against the Bengals, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is tending to a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, an injury he sustained in the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day win over the Giants and played a part in him handling a season-low 67 percent snap share. He had first injured the shoulder in a Nov. 3 loss to the Falcons, but the apparent aggravation isn't quite as severe, as Lamb said Thursday that he has full range of motion in the shoulder and has regained strength over the past week. He'll have two more opportunities Friday and Saturday to increase his practice activity and clear up any concerns about his availability for Monday's contest.
Dec 5, 2024
Set for limited practice
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that Lamb will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite benefiting from a longer turnaround for this Monday's game against the Bengals after the Cowboys hosted the Giants on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13, Lamb's shoulder is still bothering him, according to McCarthy. The coach didn't suggest that Lamb's status for Monday's game was in any danger, but the Cowboys will take it easy on the star wideout to begin Week 14 prep by managing his reps. So long as Lamb is able to put in a full practice by Saturday, he should be on track to handle his typical allotment of snaps against the Bengals.
Nov 29, 2024
Early optimism for Week 14 status
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday that Lamb (shoulder) will benefit from extra rest time between games and should be ready for Week 14 against the Bengals on Mon., Dec. 9, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After suffering an AC joint injury at the beginning of November, the wideout injured/aggravated his same right shoulder in the third quarter of Thursday's win over the Giants. He didn't play any snaps in the fourth quarter but may avoid additional missed time, benefitting from a 10-day gap between games. Lamb has yet to miss a game this season despite being listed on injury reports throughout November due to his shoulder/back/foot.
Nov 29, 2024
Misses end of game with shoulder injury
Lamb dealt with a shoulder injury during Thursday's win over the Giants and didn't play in the fourth quarter, dallascowboys.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb took 97 percent of snaps in the first half, dropping to 60 percent in the third quarter and none at all in the fourth. The Cowboys listed him on their Week 13 injury report with back and foot injuries, neither of which was serious enough to warrant a game designation. Lamb went down clutching his right shoulder after a hard fall in the second half Thursday afternoon, less than a month after suffering an AC joint injury in the same shoulder during a loss to the Falcons on Nov. 3. He'll at least have extra time to prepare for his next game, with the Cowboys coming off a Thanksgiving matchup and now hosting the Bengals on Monday (Dec. 9) in Week 14.
Nov 28, 2024
Quiet in win
Lamb recorded two receptions on six targets for 39 yards in Thursday's 27-20 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Several factors came together to result in a disappointing day for Lamb. He uncharacteristically dropped a few of his opportunities early in the game, and he then appeared to suffer an upper-body injury that limited him across the second-half of the contest. The team didn't provide any official update or give Lamb an injury designation, though his practice status will be worth monitoring heading into a Week 14 matchup against the Bengals.
Nov 27, 2024
Clear for Thanksgiving
Lamb (back/foot) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After the Cowboys estimated Lamb as limited on their first two Week 13 practice reports, he got back to a full practice Wednesday and thus will be available for the team's usual Thanksgiving contest. He went for 7-98-1 on eight targets back in Week 4 at the Giants, but Lamb will be working with Cooper Rush (knee) instead of Dak Prescott (hamstring) this time around. In Rush's three starts to date, Lamb has earned double-digit targets on each occasion, but he's managed a 24-181-0 line on 34 targets during that stretch.
Nov 26, 2024
Limited again Tuesday
Lamb (back/foot) remained limited in Tuesday's practice, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb played through the back and foot issues last Sunday against the Commanders, finishing with a 10-67-0 receiving line on 12 targets. The star wideout isn't 100 percent, but the limited sessions put him on track to play on Thanksgiving Day against the rival Giants.
Nov 25, 2024
Listed as limited Monday
Lamb (back/foot) was limited at Monday's walkthrough, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
For a second week in a row, Lamb is tending to back and foot injuries, resulting in some practice limitations. With the Cowboys operating on a short week ahead of Thursday's game against the Giants, he may not get much on-field work, but he was able to suit up for Sunday's win at Washington, where he hauled in 10 of 12 targets for 67 yards. In three contests with Cooper Rush under center, Lamb has a cumulative 24-181-0 line on 34 targets. Wednesday's practice report will reveal whether or not Lamb has a designation for Week 13 action.
Nov 24, 2024
Busy day in wild win
Lamb brought in 10 of 12 targets for 67 yards and rushed once for one yard in the Cowboys' 34-26 win over the Commanders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the Cowboys in receptions, receiving yards and targets on a day when he was atypically contained to mostly short-area targets. The talented wideout still clawed his way to a fantasy-relevant effort while once again displaying plenty of chemistry with fill-in quarterback Cooper Rush, with the duo now having connected on 18 occasions for 160 yards on 24 pass attempts over the last two games. Lamb projects to remain heavily involved again in a Week 13 home matchup against the Giants on Thanksgiving Day.
Nov 22, 2024
Cleared to play
Lamb (back/foot) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Washington, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas beat writers downplayed Lamb's absence from practice Thursday and apparently had the right of it. He returned Friday as a full participant and should be ready for his usual workload this Sunday at Washington, catching passes from QB Cooper Rush against a pass defense that's been surprisingly strong since the first few weeks of the season.
Nov 22, 2024
Returns to practice, should play
Lamb (back/foot) returned to practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday at Washington, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was a limited participant Wednesday before sitting out Thursday. It now seems his absence Thursday was a matter of maintenance rather than indicating a setback, but the Cowboys may still give the star wideout a game designation on their final injury report Friday afternoon.
Nov 21, 2024
Sits out practice Thursday
Lamb (back/foot) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Joe Hoyt of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's status for Week 12 thus seems to be murky after kicking off the week with a limited session Wednesday due to back and foot injuries. Friday's practice likely will be key for the fifth-year wide receiver's upcoming availability Sunday at Washington. In two games mostly working with Cooper Rush under center, Lamb has managed 14 catches (on 22 targets) for 114 yards and no touchdowns.
Nov 20, 2024
Tending to pair of injuries
Lamb was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough due to back and foot injuries, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb showed up as limited due to a back issue on the Cowboys' final Week 11 practice report and was listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Texans. Ultimately, he was able to suit up and logged 66 of 83 offensive snaps (80 percent) on his way to a typical eight catches (on 12 targets) for 93 yards. The performance was a stark contrast to the 6-21-0 line on 10 targets that Lamb posted in his first full outing with Cooper Rush under center for Dak Prescott (hamstring) in Week 10. Two days removed from the most recent contest, though, Lamb now is dealing with a new health concern, meaning his status will be one to watch as the week continues.
Nov 19, 2024
Valiant effort in defeat
Lamb (back) corralled eight of 12 targets for 93 receiving yards while adding 13 rushing yards off of one attempt in Monday's blowout loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys were overwhelmed in an interstate battle on Monday Night Football, but Lamb -- who was questionable with a back injury coming into this contest -- put his pads on and carried the offense to a competitive first half. The prototypical WR1 looked the part when he gained 106 total yards on nine touches with little help surrounding him on the roster. This is a textbook example of why you stick with your star players until forced to do otherwise. With double-digit targets over his last five games, Lamb should continue to be peppered with passes as the Cowboys prepare to face a pair of division opponents. First up is a road tilt against the Commanders next Sunday before returning to Dallas to face the Giants on Thursday Night Football in Week 13.
Nov 18, 2024
Active for Monday Night Football
Lamb (back) is listed as active Monday against the Texans, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb played through a shoulder issue Week 10 versus the Eagles, but the loss of Dak Prescott (hamstring) for the season has left the wide receiver working with QB Cooper Rush, resulting in six catches (on 10 targets) for just 21 yards in that contest. On Saturday, Dallas tacked him on to its practice report as limited due to a back injury, but despite the development, national reporters like Adam Schefter of ESPN and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network and even a team source via Jane Slater of NFL Network indicated he'd suit up, barring a pregame setback. Now that his status is confirmed for Week 11 action, Lamb will be available to the Cowboys offense, but the aforementioned context doesn't ensure his usual prowess will shine through.
Nov 18, 2024
Still in line play Monday
Lamb (back) remains listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Texans, but "everything right now is pointing for him to play," a team source tells Jane Slater of NFL Network.
ANALYSIS
Dallas may put Lamb through a pregame workout before providing official word on his status when the team releases its inactive list 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, but the star receiver looks like he'll be ready to play through the back spasm that limited him Saturday in the Cowboys' final Week 11 practice. Assuming he's cleared to play, Lamb will be working with quarterback Cooper Rush for the second straight game with Dak Prescott (hamstring) lost for the season. Though he continued to see heavy volume (10 targets) from Rush in the Cowboys' Week 10 loss to the Eagles, Lamb's efficiency left much to be desired (six catches for 21 yards) and could be a hindrance to his fantasy prospects moving forward.
Nov 17, 2024
Tracking toward playing Monday
Lamb (back) remains listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Texans, but he appears likely to play, barring a setback while warming up for the contest, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The star wideout didn't appear on the Cowboys' Week 11 injury report until Saturday, when he was listed as a limited participant in practice due to what Pelissero describes as a back spasm. Pelissero adds that Lamb was back in the Cowboys' facility early Sunday to receive further treatment, with the wideout seemingly showing enough improvement with the injury for the team to feel optimistic about his chances of playing Monday. Though his rest-of-season fantasy outlook has taken a hit with Cooper Rush taking over at quarterback for the injured Dak Prescott (hamstring), Lamb still looks like a must-start option in lineups due to the heavy volume he'll continue to draw in the passing game, albeit with lower efficiency.
Nov 16, 2024
HC not worried about playing status
Head coach Mike McCarthy suggested he wasn't worried about the status of Lamb, who was added to the injury report Saturday with a back injury, saying "I'm not of high concern" for the All-Pro's status for Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This is obviously encouraging given Lamb's status will bear the utmost importance being the final game of the Week 11 slate, but fantasy managers should still be on the lookout for more information well before the 8:15 p.m. Monday kickoff. The fifth-year wide receiver has missed just one game in his career, all the way back in the 2021-22 season.
Nov 16, 2024
Questionable after adding injury
Lamb was added to the injury report Saturday with a back injury and is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Texans, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a significant development given Lamb did not appear on the injury report at any point throughout the week. We'll have to await more information before the 8:15 p.m. ET primetime kickoff Monday. Given Lamb's status as one of the best wide receivers in the league and the surprising injury development, fantasy managers should expect at least one more update regarding his status before games kickoff Sunday.
Nov 10, 2024
Suffers from loss of QB
Lamb finished with six receptions (10 targets) for 21 yards while adding three yards off of one rushing attempt in Sunday's 34-6 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Lamb fell victim to the Cowboys' poor quarterback situation Sunday, netting just 24 yards off of seven touches in a one-sided loss. Dak Prescott (hamstring) is expected to miss a significant amount of time, which hurts every skill position player on Dallas' roster significantly. The 25-year-old Lamb should still garner a healthy amount of targets from either Cooper Rush or Trey Lance going forward, but Sunday's production is a good example of the drop off in talent between starter and backups. Lamb has enough pure talent to warrant starting in Week 11 against the Texans for Monday Night Football.
Nov 8, 2024
Cleared to play
Lamb (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Eagle, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was able to rejoin last week's loss to Atlanta after suffering an AC joint sprain and will now play through the injury with Cooper Rush filling in for Dak Prescott (hamstring) at quarterback this Sunday. It isn't ideal to be playing through an injury and catching passes from a backup QB against a red-hot defense, but Lamb's talent and steady volume mean fantasy managers would be wise to keep him in lineups all the same. The Cowboys listed him as a full practice participant Friday, although their session was merely a walkthrough.
Nov 7, 2024
Stays limited Thursday
Lamb (shoulder) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb emerged from this past Sunday's loss in Atlanta with an AC joint injury in his right shoulder that clearly impacted him for a significant portion of the second half. Four days removed from suffering the injury, Lamb told Jon Machota of The Athletic on Thursday, "my shoulder is much better than it was on Sunday, I'll tell you that. I feel like I've taken a big step these last 2-to-3 days. I'm good. I was out there running today." Lamb also noted that the issue is one of pain tolerance, so even if he's able to give it a go Sunday against the Eagles, any aggravation could leave him inhibited like he was Week 9.
Nov 6, 2024
Limited practice Wednesday
Lamb (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Joe Hoyt of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb played through the pain this past Sunday in Atlanta and eventually was diagnosed with an AC joint injury in his shoulder following an MRI. He's considered week-to-week, but there's optimism from the Cowboys that he'll miss no time as a result of the injury. With a light practice under his belt so far this week, Lamb at least has put himself in a position to do just that, and his status will continue to be monitored to get a sense of his potential to play Sunday versus the Eagles.
Nov 4, 2024
Optimism for Week 10
Lamb (shoulder) is considered week-to-week, but there is optimism he'll be able to play next Sunday against the Eagles, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is believed to be dealing with an AC joint injury in his shoulder, which he suffered in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Falcons. Lamb was able to return to the game after briefly exiting, so perhaps he can continue to play through the issue if it's more of a pain tolerance thing. If he is able to suit up against Philadelphia, Lamb is expected to be catching passes from a different quarterback, with Dak Prescott (hamstring) likely out several weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Lamb's fantasy stock takes a slight hit, but he should still dominate targets in Dallas' passing attack and will remain a matchup-agnostic WR1.
Nov 3, 2024
MRI scheduled on shoulder
Lamb is dealing with an AC joint injury in his right shoulder following Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Falcons, and he's scheduled to get an MRI on the injury, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed optimism that Lamb will be able to play through the injury, as Lamb returned against Atlanta after initially hurting his shoulder. Lamb finished the game with eight catches for 47 yards on 12 targets while adding two rushing attempts for 15 yards and catching a two-point conversion. The results of Lamb's MRI will determine whether he's in danger of sitting out against the Eagles in Week 10. Dallas' quarterback situation is also uncertain, as Dak Prescott (hamstring) is scheduled to get an MRI on his injury.
Nov 3, 2024
Returned to Sunday's game
Lamb (shoulder) returned to Sunday's 27-21 loss in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Lamb seemed to be playing through the pain in the second half before making a brief exit in the fourth quarter due to a shoulder injury. Having said that, he tallied a two-point conversion on a connection with QB Dak Prescott on the Cowboys' last score and finished Week 9 with eight catches (on 12 targets) for 47 yards and two carries for 15 yards.
Nov 3, 2024
Exits game with shoulder issue
Lamb exited Sunday's game against the Falcons with a shoulder injury, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to that, Lamb had caught eight of his 12 targets for 47 yards and carried twice for 15 yards. In his absence, QB Cooper Rush -- who is in for Dak Prescott (hamstring) - has WRs Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy to throw to.
Oct 28, 2024
Two TDs in stellar fourth quarter
Lamb caught 13 of 17 targets for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb scored a seven-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to 30-17 in the fourth quarter, then produced a catches of 21, 29 and 20 yards on three consecutive plays, the last of which was a touchdown to make it a one-score game before Dallas' comeback bid fizzled out. Prior to the late surge, Lamb was busy on short and intermediate routes, catching seven of eight targets for 48 yards before halftime. Lamb's up to four touchdowns heading into a Week 9 trip to Atlanta, and he finally has his first 100-yard receiving performance of 2024 after exceeding 100 receiving yards eight times and catching 12 touchdown passes during the 2023 regular season.
Oct 13, 2024
Limited production on 14 targets
Lamb recorded seven receptions on 14 targets for 89 yards in Sunday's 49-7 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Lamb turned in a reasonable fantasy performance on the surface, but his path to getting there is less reassuring. He got off to a quick start by tallying three receptions for 31 yards on the Cowboys' opening drive, but was then limited to very short gains until he turned in a pair of 19-yard receptions with Dallas down by four scores late in the third quarter. Overall, Lamb averaged only 6.4 yards per target and has still yet to hit 100 receiving yards in a game this season.
Oct 7, 2024
Modest numbers on six touches
Lamb had five receptions (nine targets) for 62 yards while adding one rush for three yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb didn't have a standout performance on Sunday Night Football after teammates Rico Dowdle and Jalen Tolbert collected both of Dak Prescott's touchdown passes in the comeback victory. The 25-year-old Lamb has produced a 25-378-2 receiving line through five games with Dallas this year as the team prepares to host Detroit next Sunday.
Sep 26, 2024
Paces pass catchers in win
Lamb secured seven of eight targets for 98 yards and a touchdown and rushed three times for eight yards in the Cowboys' 20-15 win over the Giants on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb co-led the Cowboys in receptions and set the pace in both receiving yards and targets for the team on the night. The star wideout also recorded his second touchdown of the season on a 55-yard grab in the second quarter, a fitting antidote for any lingering tension there may have been between him and Dak Prescott stemming from a Week 3 sideline argument. Lamb is still on a quest for his first 100-yard game of the season, a benchmark he'll next have a chance of hitting in a Week 5 road battle against the Steelers on Sunday night, Oct. 6.
Sep 22, 2024
Quiet against Baltimore
Lamb recorded four catches on seven targets for 67 yards while also losing a fumble in Sunday's 28-25 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Lamb saw a disappointing seven targets on Dak Prescott's 51 pass attempts and had a muted stat line against Baltimore. Interestingly, he had the majority of his production in the first half when Dallas struggled to move the ball, yet he was mostly silent as the team made a furious comeback late in the contest. Much like the Cowboys offense, Lamb has gotten off to a disappointing start to the season, as he's been held under 70 receiving yards in two of three games and has yet to hit 100 yards in a matchup.
Sep 20, 2024
Cleared to face Ravens
Lamb (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Baltimore, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb rested Wednesday before upgrading to a limited practice Thursday and full participation Friday. He should be fine for his usual role as a near-every-down player and target hog this Sunday against a Ravens defense that has started the season slow under new coordinator Zach Orr.
Sep 20, 2024
On track to play
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday that he's confident Lamb (ankle) will play Sunday against Baltimore, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Mike McCarthy expressed similar optimism Thursday when Lamb returned to practice as a limited participant after missing Wednesday's session. Lamb himself said he's fine and that the issue is nothing more than soreness. It sounds like he may even avoid an injury designation on the final injury report.
Sep 19, 2024
Back practicing, should play Week 3
Head coach Mike McCarthy said Lamb (ankle) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was held out of the Cowboys' first Week 3 practice Wednesday, but McCarthy notes that the receiver's ankle injury is "not of high concern," according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. The Cowboys expect Lamb to be available for Sunday's game against the Ravens, though he might need to upgrade to full practice participation Friday to avoid taking a questionable tag into the weekend.
Sep 18, 2024
DNP due to ankle issue
Lamb was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
This is the first mention of a health concern for Lamb this season, but he at least has two more sessions this week to put himself in a position to suit up Sunday against the Ravens. Through two games on the campaign, he's gathered in nine of 17 targets for 151 yards and one touchdown.
Sep 15, 2024
Catches first TD of 2024
Lamb caught four of seven targets for 90 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-19 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
It didn't take Lamb too long to show that he was back up to speed after his training-camp holdout, hauling in a 65-yard TD in the second quarter that saw him beat two defenders along the sideline before sprinting to the end zone. It's Lamb's first touchdown of the season after he scored a career-high 14 in 2023, 12 receiving and two rushing. He remains Dak Prescott's top target heading into a Week 3 clash with the Ravens.
Sep 8, 2024
Limited production in blowout win
Lamb recorded five receptions on 10 targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 33-17 win over Cleveland. He added three rushes for 25 yards.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was unsurprisingly the leading producer among Dallas' receiving corps, though game context slowed his overall production. By halftime, Lamb had four receptions for 58 yards, highlighted by a 32-yard reception down the right sideline midway through the first quarter. However, with the Cowboys up 27-3 just two minutes into the second half, they rarely took to the air in the final 28 minutes of game time, thus limiting Lamb's Week 1 line.
Sep 7, 2024
Officially off exempt list
Lamb was officially removed from the reserve/commissioner's exempt list and will play in Sunday's season debut against the Browns, Nick Harris of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After signing a massive four-year, $136 million extension last week, this was the expected outcome. Lamb will enter Sunday's difficult matchup against a potent Browns defense with little ramp up having held out throughout the majority of training camp, but with little reliable receiving options outside of Brandin Cooks, there's been zero indication the Cowboys plan to bring Lamb along slowly Week 1.
Sep 4, 2024
Ramping up for Week 1
Coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Lamb, who remains on the reserve/commissioner's exempt list, is "building up to Sunday," according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
After inking a four-year, $136 million extension on Aug. 26, Lamb was placed on the aforementioned exempt list, and the Cowboys consequently were granted a two-game roster exemption. There's an expectation that the wide receiver will return to the active roster in time for Sunday's game at Cleveland, but such a move has yet to come to pass. Lamb is coming off easily the best campaign of his career, when he turned 181 targets into 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 regular-season games a year ago.
Aug 27, 2024
Granted exempt status
The Cowboys were granted a two-game roster exemption for Lamb on Tuesday and have placed him on the commissioner's exempt list, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb returned to practice Tuesday, one day after inking a lucrative four-year, $136 million contract extension with the Cowboys, though Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports the star wideout is currently limited to individual drills as he begins ramping up his activity level. Dallas' placement of Lamb on the exempt list, where he doesn't have to count against the 53-man roster, is simply a way for the team to better navigate Tuesday's cut-down deadline, and not any indication that the No. 1 receiver is in danger of missing any action. Lamb can be activated at any time, and he still has just under two weeks left to get back into game shape prior to Week 1's road matchup against the Browns on Sept. 8.
Aug 26, 2024
Massive extension finally gets done
Lamb (contract dispute) and the Cowboys agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $136 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's contract dispute saw him miss the entirety of training camp and the preseason, but the star wide receiver now gets his new deal with roughly two weeks remaining to ramp up for Dallas' matchup against the Browns in Week 1. In addition to a $38 million signing bonus, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Lamb's new contract includes $100 million guaranteed. The deal makes Lamb the second-highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history, and keeps him linked to Dak Prescott and the Cowboys for the foreseeable future. Fresh off a 2023 campaign in which he tallied 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 scores (on 181 targets) across 17 regular-season games, Lamb is again in prime position to produce as one of the top wide receivers in the league as the unquestioned No. 1 option in Dallas' uptempo, pass-heavy offense.
Aug 9, 2024
No urgency from team?
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday that he doesn't have urgency to get Lamb's contract done, NFL.com's Grant Gordon reports.
ANALYSIS
QB Dak Prescott disagreed, telling reporters afterward, "I got urgency for it to happen." Lamb had an ever shorter response, simply posting 'lol' on his twitter account. Lamb remains on the reserve/did not report list, holding out for a new contract while scheduled to make $17.99 million in 2024 under the fifth-year option on his rookie deal. Recent contracts for other WRs suggest the Cowboys will need to offer more than $30 million per year to get Lamb to sign; the big question is whether he'll start practicing soon -- or at least ahead of Week 1 -- if there's no agreement.

On reserve/did not report list
The Cowboys placed Lamb (holdout) on the reserve/did not report list Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The transaction is merely procedural to open up a spot on the 90-man roster as Lamb continues to hold out of training camp while seeking a contract extension. Currently, he's in line to earn $17.99 million in 2024 on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, but on the heels of career bests across the board last season -- a 135-1,749-12 line on 181 targets in 17 regular-season games -- he's looking to strike it big like fellow premier wide receiver Justin Jefferson did this offseason. With Lamb away from Oxnard, Calif., the Cowboys' top options at the position are Brandin Cooks, Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks and KaVontae Turpin.
Jul 23, 2024
Expected to hold out
Lamb is not expected to report to training camp Wednesday with his Cowboys teamates, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb and Dallas were unable to reach a contract extension during the offseason. The star pass catcher is entering the last year of a deal scheduled to earn him $17.99 million. This news does not come out of nowhere, as he also did not show up for June minicamp. While he is sidelined, Brandin Cooks will presumably handle No. 1 receiving duties, while Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks and KaVontae Turpin also figure to see more reps to build a rapport with Dak Prescott.
Jul 1, 2024
Could hold out from training camp
Lamb isn't likely to report for the start of training camp July 24 if he doesn't have a new contract by then, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Lamb didn't show up for June minicamp, which means he can be fined a little more than $100,000. He's scheduled to make $17.99 million under a fifth-year option in 2024, whereas a long-term contract will cost the Cowboys nearly twice that much per season. It might nonetheless lower Lamb's cap hit for 2024, depending on how the deal is structured, and Machota suggests the most likely outcome is a long-term contract before Dallas players report to camp July 24. If not, Lamb may continue his holdout and accrue further fines while his agent negotiates for a deal.
Jun 4, 2024
Holding out from minicamp
Lamb is holding out from June minicamp in pursuit of a new contract, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb didn't attend voluntary OTAs and now is missing the first mandatory activities of the offseason. David Helman of FOX Sports reports that the Cowboys can fine Lamb around $100,000 in the likely event he misses all three days of June minicamp, though the wideout presumably won't care much if it helps him secure a new contract. He's likely looking for a deal that's similar or slightly south of the four-year, $140 million extension that Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is signing this week. If nothing gets done before training camp, Lamb may well continue his holdout into August
Apr 15, 2024
Seeking new contract
Lamb is not expected to attend the start of Dallas' offseason workouts as he continues negotiations with the team on a contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is currently entering the final season of his rookie contract, which would see him earn roughly $18 million on the fifth-year option, but he's been clear about his desires to instead come to terms on a long-term deal to keep him with the Cowboys. Patrik Walker of the team's official site reports that Lamb recently responded to rumors of a potential holdout by saying he'll "be in Dallas" this season, though mandatory workouts won't begin until minicamp early June. DeVonta Smith, a 2021 first-round pick, is fresh off signing a three-year, $75 million extension including $51 million guaranteed with the Eagles, but Lamb's production could well warrant a top-of-the-market deal closer to $30 million per year.
Apr 8, 2024
May skip voluntary workouts
Lamb may be absent from the start of Cowboys offseason workouts April 15 as he seeks a new contract, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is currently scheduled to play out the 2024 season on the fifth-year option of his rookie deal, which would carry a $17.99 million salary. Skipping offseason workouts is one of Lamb's only bargaining chips if he seeks a contract extension immediately, other than attempting a more severe holdout. Attendance will be voluntary until Dallas' minicamp early June, and it remains to be seen whether Lamb would actually consider a holdout at that point. The 25-year-old solidified himself as one of the NFL's top wideouts with a 135-1,749-12 receiving line through 17 regular-season games in 2023, and a new contract could place him in the range of a $30 million per year salary, similar to Tyreek Hill's deal atop the WR market. That said, the Cowboys also have to navigate the contract situations of stars Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons.

Leading receiver in wild-card loss
Lamb caught nine of 17 targets for 110 yards in Sunday's 48-32 wild-card loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The NFL's receptions leader in 2023 barely made an impact in the first half as Dak Prescott struggled to move the offense, but Lamb wound up topping the Cowboys in receiving yards with a big, if eventually futile, second half. The fourth-year wideout finishes the regular season with a 135-1,749-12 line on 181 targets while adding 113 rushing yards and two more touchdowns on 14 carries, and assuming Prescott returns to Dallas, Lamb figures to come off the board very quickly in 2024 fantasy drafts.
Jan 7, 2024
Dazzles again in Week 18
Lamb caught all 13 of his targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
With the Cowboys needing a victory to secure an NFC East title and the No. seed in the playoffs, Dak Prescott leaned heavily on Lamb once again. The fourth-year wideout put a bow on his incredible campaign with a four-yard TD grab just before halftime and a six-yard score in the third quarter, and Lamb's 135 catches on the season not only set a new franchise record, they made him the first player in Dallas history to lead the NFL in the category. If the Bills' secondary shuts down Tyreek Hill on Sunday night, Lamb's 1,749 receiving yards could also end up leading the league. He'll roll into the postseason with a juicy matchup on tap in the wild-card round against a Packers secondary that struggled badly at times down the stretch.
Dec 30, 2023
Career-high 227 yards
Lamb recorded 13 catches on 17 targets for 227 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 20-19 win over the Lions. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
The Lions picked off Lamb's first target, which was a rare disappointing moment throughout his performance on the night. One possession later, he beat the Detroit secondary deep for a 92-yard touchdown on the way to a career-best 227-yard performance. Lamb also chipped in other big plays of 31 and 22 yards, marking the first time he's recorded three receptions of at least 20 yards since Week 10. He also set the Cowboys' single-season record for both receptions and yards with the performance.
Dec 24, 2023
Big fantasy game despite loss
Lamb finished with six receptions on 10 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown while adding 14 rushing yards on two attempts in Sunday's 22-20 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Lamb did all the heavy lifting for the Cowboys' offense Sunday, finishing as the team's leading receiver in every category while also chipping in 14 rushing yards to help a struggling rushing attack. All of this was not enough to lift Dallas past Miami, who won Sunday's contest on a last-second FG from Jason Sanders. Lamb extended his impressive touchdown streak to seven games, and he is just one receiving touchdown away from setting a new personal career best. The superstar wideout will shoot for his 10th receiving touchdown when the Cowboys host the Lions on Saturday.
Dec 17, 2023
Saves day with garbage-time score
Lamb recorded seven receptions on 10 targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Bills. He added one rush for three yards and a touchdown.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys' offense disappeared for much of the game, so this was a forgettable performance for Lamb. However, he managed to turn in a respectable stat line thanks to a garbage-time drive late in the fourth quarter, during which he recorded three receptions for 15 yards and also tallied his rushing score. Positively, Lamb extended his touchdown streak to six games, and he has nine scores across his last eight games. He should be in a good position to bounce back in Week 16 in a potential shootout against the Dolphins.
Dec 11, 2023
Extends TD streak to five games
Lamb had six receptions on 10 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-13 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was able to extend his active touchdown streak to five games after capping the game's opening drive with a 13-yard grab. The superstar's recent scoring binge brings him up to nine total touchdowns (one rushing) through 13 games, tying his previous high from last season when he caught nine touchdowns over 17 active games. Lamb is also 11 receptions -- a single-game total he has already reached five times this year -- off of the career mark of 107 he set in 2022. He will shoot for a sixth in a road matchup against the Bills next Sunday.
Dec 1, 2023
Massive volume in Week 13 win
Lamb secured 12 of 17 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 41-35 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also rushed twice for 30 yards.
ANALYSIS
Lamb comfortably set the pace in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night for the Cowboys, with his catch and target totals tying and establishing a season high, respectively. The standout fourth-year pro broke out of what had been a rare two-game funk where he'd produced a modest-by-his-standards 10-91-2 line, posting his fifth 100-yard game in the last seven in the process. Lamb also extended his touchdown streak to four contests with a 15-yard scoring grab in the latter portion of the opening period, sending him into a Week 14 home showdown with the Eagles on Sunday night, Dec. 10 with plenty of momentum.
Nov 23, 2023
Hauls in TD in Thanksgiving rout
Lamb caught four of nine targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 45-10 win over the Commanders. He added a two-point conversion.
ANALYSIS
The wideout had trouble connecting with Dak Prescott early in the game, and Lamb was overthrown on what could have been a walk-in TD on the Cowboys' first possession. The QB made it up to him in the second half though, and Lamb hauled in a 15-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, plus the subsequent two-point conversions attempt, as Dallas pulled away late. Lamb has scored six TDs in five games since the team's bye while amassing 44 catches for 591 yards on 62 targets over that stretch, and he figures to be productive again in Week 13 against the Seahawks.
Nov 21, 2023
Gets back to full Tuesday
Lamb (ankle) practiced fully Tuesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
One day removed from opening Week 12 prep with a limited listing on Monday's practice estimate with an ankle injury, Lamb was uninhibited on the field, paving the way for him to be available Thursday against the Commanders. Both coach Mike McCarthy (per Jane Slater of NFL Network) and Lamb himself (according to Machota) expressed confidence in such an outcome Tuesday, with the wide receiver saying, "I'll be out there." Lamb thus will be looking to exploit a Washington defense that has given up the second-most touchdowns (15) and second-most yards per target (9.7) to opposing wide receivers in 11 games this season.
Nov 20, 2023
Estimated as limited Monday
Lamb was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report due to an ankle injury, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys merely conducted a walk-through Monday, one day after Lamb played a relatively standard 79 percent of the offensive snaps in a blowout win over the Panthers while catching six passes for 38 yards and one touchdown on nine targets. No reports surfaced during the game that Lamb was playing through an injury, and head coach Mike McCarthy relayed Monday that the wideout's ankle issue "is not of high concern" as Thursday's game against the Commanders approaches, per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. McCarthy added that Lamb won't be asked to "open up" his activity until Wednesday, so Lamb could be listed as limited again on Tuesday's practice report.
Nov 19, 2023
Scores in victory
Lamb caught six of nine targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-10 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's sensational three-week streak of 150-yard games was snapped, but the wideout still compensated with a five-yard touchdown. With Dallas nursing a comfortable lead for the most of Sunday's contest, the team's dependence on Lamb wasn't as significant, resulting in his second-lowest yardage of the campaign. The star wideout will now face a quick turnaround ahead of a Thanksgiving clash against the Commanders in Week 12.
Nov 12, 2023
Makes history in Sunday's rout
Lamb caught 11 of 14 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 49-17 win over the Giants. He also ran in a 14-yard TD on his only carry.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year wideout didn't even lead the Cowboys in receiving yards on the day -- that honor belonged to Brandin Cooks in a breakout, 173-yard performance -- but Lamb's own huge effort put him in the NFL record books, as he became the first player in league history with three straight games of at least 10 catches and 150 yards. Lamb actually has four straight 100-yard games dating back to Week 6, and he sits just 25 receiving yards shy of his third straight 1,000-yard campaign heading into a Week 11 clash with the Panthers.
Nov 5, 2023
Career-best performance in Week 9
Lamb caught 11 of 16 targets for 191 yards in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
While he couldn't get into the end zone, Lamb still had a massive day and set a new career high in yardage for a single game. The fourth-year wideout has topped 100 yards in three straight contests as the Dallas passing game has roared to life, posting a 30-466-2 line on 37 targets over that stretch, but Lamb doesn't figure to be as busy in Week 10 against a Giants team that the Cowboys routed 40-0 in their first meeting this season.
Oct 29, 2023
Shreds Rams' secondary
Lamb recorded 12 receptions on 14 targets for 158 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 43-20 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Lamb dominated the opportunity among Cowboys' pass catchers, as he earned a season-best 14 targets with no other player topping four. He took advantage by dominating the Rams secondary, finding the end zone from 22 and 10 yards away. In total, he had four receptions of more than 20 yards, helping him top 100 yards for the third time this season and for the second consecutive contest.
Oct 16, 2023
Eclipses century mark in win
Lamb secured all seven targets for 117 yards in the Cowboys' 20-17 win over the Chargers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the way in receiving yards for the Cowboys on the night while notching a 100 percent catch rate. Both the catch and yardage totals were Lamb's second highest of the season, and the standout performance snapped a three-game downturn that had seen Lamb record 53 receiving yards or less in each contest. Lamb and the Cowboys next face the Rams at home on Sunday, Oct. 29 following a Week 7 bye.
Oct 9, 2023
Leads team with 49 yards
Lamb finished with four receptions on five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 42-10 loss to San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Lamb finished as Dallas' leading receiver Sunday, but it didn't result in a big game with the offense mustering just 161 passing yards against the 49ers. The 24-year-old has contributed 379 yards from scrimmage over the first five games of the season, but his value has been limited by a lack of touchdowns. Lamb has made just one trip to the end zone after scoring nine over 17 games in 2022. He will look to correct that against the Chargers' league-worst pass defense on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
Oct 1, 2023
Finds end zone in quiet performance
Lamb recorded four receptions on six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was overshadowed by Jake Ferguson and Michael Gallup in the offense. While that may have been caused by Dallas' significant advantage on the scoreboard, Lamb has now seen seven or fewer targets in three of four games on the season. Despite the limited volume, he still managed to salvage his fantasy performance with a 20-yard touchdown catch late in the first quarter -- his first trip to the end zone this season. He'll turn his attention to another tough defensive matchup in Week 5 as the Cowboys are set to square off against the 49ers.
Sep 24, 2023
Held in check in Sunday's loss
Lamb caught four of seven targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
While the Cowboys had some success on the ground, Lamb and the passing game didn't make much of an impact with Dak Prescott working behind an offensive line missing three starters, including Zack Martin (ankle). Lamb has still topped 50 receiving yards in all three games in 2023, but he faces a tough matchup in Week 4 against a Patriots defense that's been the only one to somewhat contain Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' passing attack so far this season.
Sep 17, 2023
Ties career high in receptions
Lamb caught 11 of 13 targets for 143 yards in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Despite being matched up frequently against Sauce Gardner, Lamb put together a huge performance as he tied his career high in catches while accounting for over 56 percent of Dak Prescott's passing yards. In fact, no other Cowboy came within 100 yards of Lamb's output -- Tony Pollard finished second on the team with 37 receiving yards. The No. 1 wideout could be busy again in Week 3 against a Cardinals defense that just gave up 321 passing yards to Daniel Jones, most of which came in an epic second-half collapse.
Sep 11, 2023
Gains 77 yards in blowout win
Lamb caught all four of his targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 40-0 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Lamb finished as the Cowboys' leading receiver in a comfortable win. The star wideout was well on his way to a monster performance had the Giants put up a fight, but there was little need for Dallas to pass after starting the second half up by 26 points. Lamb and the rest of the starters should be fresh for the Cowboys' home opener against the Jets on Sunday.
Aug 11, 2023
Unlikely to play Saturday
Lamb isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Jaguars, The Athletic's Jon Machota reports.
ANALYSIS
This comes as no surprise. Lamb is expected to be joined on the sidelines by fellow veterans Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, and Brandin Cooks. Lamb has unsurprisingly been a standout at Cowboys camp this summer and should be teed up as a surefire fantasy WR1 this season.
Jul 26, 2023
Healthy to start camp
Lamb (leg) is practicing Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Participation at the start of training camp confirms he's moved past the minor leg injury that caused him to miss a practice or two in June. The fourth-year pro is locked in as Dak Prescott's favorite target, albeit with a bit more competition for the QB's attention now that the Cowboys traded for Brandin Cooks and have a healthier version of Michael Gallup. Of course, they also lost TE Dalton Schultz this offseason, and there's room for the 24-year-old Lamb to command an even larger target share if he continues improving the way he did between his second and third pro seasons.
Jun 8, 2023
No concern over leg issue
Lamb, who appeared to be favoring his left leg after making a catch in Wednesday's minicamp practice, isn't in line to participate in Thursday's session, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
While the Cowboys plan to err on the side of caution with Lamb in the team's last practice prior to training camp, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News relays that coach Mike McCarthy noted Thursday that he had "no concern" about Lamb's health. Once the 2020 first-rounder resumes practicing next month, he'll be in line to reprise his role as the top option in a Dallas wideout corps that also includes fellow returnee Michael Gallup as well as newcomer Brandin Cooks.
Jun 8, 2023
Leg issue downplayed
Lamb (leg) is reportedly fine following his exit from Wednesday's minicamp practice, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Mickey Spagnola of the Cowboys' official site, Lamb appeared to be favoring his left leg after landing awkwardly while making a catch during Wednesday's session, but the issue doesn't look like anything serious and shouldn't impact Lamb's status for next month's training camp. This coming season, the 2020 first-rounder is in line to continue to head a Dallas pass-catching corps that bid adieu to TE Dalton Schultz this offseason, while adding veteran wideout Brandin Cooks. In 17 games in 2022, Lamb paced the team with 107 catches for 1,359 yards and nine TDs on 156 targets.
Apr 20, 2023
Gets fifth-year option
The Cowboys exercised the fifth-year option on Lamb's rookie contract Thursday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Teams have a deadline of May 1 to make such decisions with first-round picks from the 2020 Draft, and the 17th overall selection that year now is locked in in Dallas through the 2024 season. Lamb is coming off a second consecutive 1,000-yard campaign, having put together a 107-1,359-9 line on 156 targets in 17 games last season. He's also been plenty durable during his three-year career, missing just one of a possible 50 regular-season contests to date. After the Cowboys added Brandin Cooks to their receiving corps this offseason, Lamb may have even more room to operate in a Dak Prescott-led offense.
Jan 22, 2023
Leading receiver in losing effort
Lamb corralled 10 of 13 targets for 117 yards and rushed twice for six yards in Sunday's 19-12 divisional-round loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb took advantage of the 49ers' Achilles heel -- its cornerbacks -- and produced the first 100-yard receiving game of his young postseason career. The rest of Dallas' offense sputtered in the loss, bringing the star wideout's 2022 season to a close. Lamb finished with career highs across the board during the regular season, finishing with 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns across 17 games. The 23-year-old will enter the fourth year of his rookie contract in 2023, and he will likely command a huge contract extension if he continues to make strides as the Cowboys' top wideout.
Jan 17, 2023
Finds end zone in wild-card win
Lamb brought in four of six targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 31-14 wild-card win over the Buccaneers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was having a fairly underwhelming night until he rounded it out nicely with an 18-yard scoring grab early in the fourth quarter. The third-year wideout ultimately finished second in receiving yards and tied for second in targets, contributing in solid fashion on a night when Dak Prescott shined with a 300-yard, four-touchdown performance through the air. Lamb figures to play an integral role once again in Sunday evening's divisional-round road clash against a talented but occasionally vulnerable 49ers secondary.
Jan 8, 2023
Salvages day with TD
Lamb caught five of seven targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-6 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The third-year wideout was the lone bright spot for the Dallas offense as it put together maybe its worst performance of the year. Lamb wraps up the regular season with career highs in catches (107), targets (156), receiving yards (1,359) and TDs (nine), and he'll likely need to come up big on the road in the wild-card round if the Cowboys are going to advance past the Buccaneers.
Dec 29, 2022
Another busy night Thursday
Lamb secured 11 of 14 targets for 100 yards in the Cowboys' 27-13 win over the Titans on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb comfortably led the Cowboys in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, repeatedly capitalizing on a very short-handed Titans defense. The third-year wideout's performance included his fifth 100-yard tally of 2022 and tied his season high in receptions, and it also put him over the 100-catch mark for the campaign. Lamb's final opportunity to tune up for the postseason comes in a Week road matchup versus the Commanders a week from Sunday.
Dec 24, 2022
Double-digit catches Saturday
Lamb secured 10 of 11 targets for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 40-34 win over the Eagles on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb paced the Cowboys' pass-catching corps across the board in what was a spectacular performance. The star wideout recorded 36- and seven-yard touchdown grabs in the second and fourth quarters, respectively, the second erasing a 34-27 deficit to cap off an eight-play, 75-yard drive. Lamb's pair of touchdowns give him a new career high of eight for the campaign and served as his second multi-score tally of the season. Lamb also has consecutive 100-yard efforts for the first time in 2022 heading into a favorable Week 17 road matchup against the Titans on Thursday night.
Dec 18, 2022
Perfect perfect against Jags
Lamb recorded a reception on all seven of his targets for 126 yards in Sunday's 40-34 loss to Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was surprisingly out-targeted by Noah Brown in Sunday's loss, though he put together a far more efficient performance. Lamb ripped through the Jaguars' secondary for long gains on 39, 25, and 22 yards on his way third 100-yard performance of the season and in his last six games. The only thing missing from his effort was a trip to the end zone, though Lamb still needs just one more touchdown to reach a career high.
Dec 11, 2022
Disappears against Texans
Lamb recorded five receptions on six targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys came into the game as heavy favorites and operated as such, focusing on establishing the rushing attack. However, the Texans hung around and held a small lead for the majority of the game, which forced Dallas to open up its offense. Even so, Lamb couldn't get going and had to settle for a 13-yard reception as his longest gain of the game. Lamb's yardage was his second-lowest of the season and worst output since Week 1.
Dec 5, 2022
Shines on SNF
Lamb corralled five of seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown while adding 23 rushing yards on two carries in Sunday's 54-19 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the Cowboys in receiving and had his way with the Colts' banged up secondary. Dallas' star wideout could have had an even bigger game had Indianapolis kept the score closer in the second half of this lopsided affair. Lamb is closing in on his second consecutive 1,000-yard season with a 69/938/6 receiving line through 12 games. The Cowboys will take on the 1-9-1 Texans on Sunday, giving Lamb another prime opportunity to take advantage of weak opponent in Week 14.
Nov 24, 2022
Tops century mark against Giants
Lamb caught six of 11 targets for 106 yards in Thursday's 28-20 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
He added 11 rushing yards on two carries. Lamb, and the entire Dallas offense, had a sluggish first half, heading into the locker room down 13-7. The receiver got going after intermission though and nearly hauled in a two-yard TD midway through the fourth quarter, but he couldn't quite get both feet in bounds at the back of the end zone. It was Lamb's second 100-yard game of the season, both of which have come in the last three weeks, and he'll take plenty of momentum into a Week 13 matchup against the Colts.
Nov 20, 2022
Low usage in blowout win
Lamb caught all five of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 40-3 blowout victory over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was able to haul in 100 percent of the passes thrown his way for the first time this season, but the five targets also marked a season low. The 23-year-old was used sparingly due to a crooked score and a combined four touchdowns from Dallas' running backs. The game got so out of hand that head coach Mike McCarthy was able to pull all of the starters for the fourth quarter, also adding to Lamb's suppressed output this week. The Cowboys' star wideout could be in line for a big game on Thanksgiving against a Giants team that may be without both of its top corners Thursday.
Nov 13, 2022
Breaks century mark with two scores
Lamb corralled 11 of 15 targets for 150 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb finally broke the century mark in receiving yards for the first time in 2022 after coming close on a couple occasions. Dallas' star wideout also tallied his first double-digit reception and multi-score game in this monster fantasy performance. The 23-year-old now carries a healthy 53/706/5 line through nine contests, putting him well on pace for career highs in all three categories. Lamb will look to build off of his best showing of the season in a favorable matchup against a vulnerable Minnesota secondary next Sunday.
Oct 30, 2022
Scores, records 77 yards
Lamb recorded five receptions on seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 49-29 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Lamb narrowly beat out Dalton Schultz to lead Dallas in receiving yards, and he now has 13 targets combined in the two games since Dak Prescott has returned. Lamb's performance was highlighted by receptions of 22 and 21 yards -- the latter of which went for his third touchdown of the season. He has still yet to surpass the century mark in a game this season, but Lamb has at least 70 yards in five of eight contests.
Oct 23, 2022
Team-high receiving yardage Sunday
Lamb brought in four of six targets for 70 yards and netted minus-4 yards on one carry in the Cowboys' 24-6 win over the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's receiving yardage total was a team high, while his reception tally was second behind only the team-high five catches secured by Noah Brown and Dalton Schultz. Lamb's first game back with Dak Prescott didn't result in better numbers than he compiled in a couple of his games with Cooper Rush under center, but the third-year receiver naturally should have a chance to reignite his chemistry with the talented quarterback the more they play together moving forward.

Logs full practice Thursday
Lamb (hip) practiced fully Thursday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb hurt his hip prior to the Cowboys' Week 6 matchup with the Eagles, but he still suited up this past Sunday, hauling in five of 10 targets for 68 yards and turning two carries into nine yards. While he opened Week 7 prep with a limited session, he told Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News after Thursday's practice that he was a "full go," which was confirmed on the team's ensuing injury report. Lamb thus is set to serve as Dak Prescott's No. 1 option in the passing game Sunday versus the Lions, with the quarterback expected to put an end to a five-game absence due to a broken right thumb.
Oct 20, 2022
Ready to play Sunday
Lamb (hip) said he was "full go" in Thursday's practice and is set to start against Detroit on Sunday, the Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was only limited in Wednesday's practice, so his words imply he was a full participant Thursday. So long as he avoids setbacks between Thursday and Sunday he should be at or close to 100 percent for a favorable matchup against the Lions.
Oct 19, 2022
Still tending to hip issue
Lamb was limited at practice Wednesday by a hip injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was a late addition to the Cowboys' Week 6 practice report, being tabbed as a non-participant last Friday with the aforementioned hip concern. It didn't stop him from playing this past Sunday at Philadelphia and turning 10 targets into five catches for 68 yards and two carries into nine yards. Even if he heads into this weekend with a game-day designation, Lamb doesn't seem in danger of missing Sunday's contest against the Lions, and he's also in line to be on the receiving end of passes from Dak Prescott instead of Cooper Rush after the former gained medical clearance from the broken right thumb that has sidelined him Weeks 2-6.
Oct 17, 2022
Gains 77 yards on seven touches
Lamb (hip) had five receptions on 10 targets for 68 yards while adding nine yards on two rush attempts in Sunday's 26-17 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's fantasy managers suffered a late-week scare when the star wideout was added to the injury report due to his hip at Friday's practice. The 23-year-old was expected to play based on early reports Sunday, and he followed through and provided solid fantasy production. Lamb added his second and third rushing attempts of the season, but his efficiency (5.0 YPC) is lacking compared to his brief usage as a rusher over his first two seasons (8.3 YPC). Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) could return as soon as next Sunday's tilt against Detroit, but Lamb has proven that he can still be relied upon even if backup Cooper Rush is forced to make another start.
Oct 16, 2022
Playing Sunday, as expected
Lamb (hip) is active for Sunday's contest at Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Friday's practice due to a previously unknown hip issue, Lamb was termed questionable for Week 6 action. Still, there was an expectation that he'd play, which was supported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Sunday morning. With his status now confirmed, Lamb again will be the focus of the Cowboys' passing game, but he'll be on the receiving end of passes from Cooper Rush instead of Dak Prescott (thumb), the latter of whom may be able to return Week 7 against the Lions. While working with Rush over the last four outings, Lamb has put together a cumulative 26-312-2 line on 39 targets.
Oct 16, 2022
Expected to play Sunday
Lamb (hip) is listed as questionable but should play Sunday against the Eagles, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was added to the Cowboys' Week 6 injury report Friday, but he looks to be trending toward active status Sunday, unlike quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb). Official confirmation of the wideout's status will arrive when Dallas' inactive list is posted ahead of the team's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 14, 2022
Added to injury report Friday
Lamb (hip) was added to the injury report Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, though he's still expected to play, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys are no friend to fantasy managers this week, with Lamb a late addition and QB Dak Prescott (thumb) surprisingly listed as questionable. The 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff further complicates things, but there's always the possibility of weekend reports that provide further clarity by Sunday morning/afternoon. If Lamb were to miss the contest, Michael Gallup and Noah Brown would get big boosts in target share projection, while either Simi Fehoko and Jalen Tolbert would take the No. 3 role. The Cowboys reportedly don't expect it to come to that, figuring Lamb's mid-week hip injury will be okay after he was held out of Friday's practice to rest it.
Oct 9, 2022
Five grabs against Rams
Lamb caught five of eight targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 22-10 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The Dallas passing game never really needed to get going in this one, but Lamb was on the other end of exactly half of Cooper Rush's attempts and completions. It was still Lamb's weakest production in any of Rush's four starts, and the third-year wideout will likely need to be a lot more productive in what has shaped up to be a huge Week 6 matchup against the Eagles.
Oct 9, 2022
Suiting up in Week 5
Lamb (groin) is listed as active Sunday at the Rams, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb showed up on the injury report Thursday as a non-participant due to a groin issue. He was able to return Friday as limited, and despite going into the weekend as questionable to play, there was an expectation that he would do just that. Indeed, that has come to pass, and Lamb now will be available against an L.A. defense that has allowed the second-most receiving yards per game (211.8) and six touchdowns to wide receivers in four contests this season.
Oct 7, 2022
Listed questionable, should play
The Cowboys are optimistic Lamb (groin) will play Sunday against the Rams, though he's listed as questionable on the final injury report after returning to practice Friday as a limited participant, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was added to the injury report Thursday as a non-participant, sparking serious concern over his Week 5 availability. It's still not settled, but Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports supports the notion that Lamb is on track to work out Saturday and play Sunday. With an MRI confirming his groin injury isn't serious, per Jon Machota of The Athletic, Lamb is expected to avoid the inactive list ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday
Oct 7, 2022
Should be available Sunday
Lamb (groin) will practice Friday and Saturday and is expected to play Sunday versus the Rams, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Mike McCarthy said Lamb was held out of practice Thursday for precautionary reasons relating to a groin injury, per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News, but it looks like the No. 1 wideout is still on track for Sunday. Friday's session for the Cowboys is a jogthrough, but if Lamb can continue to avoid any setbacks Saturday it will bode well for his chances of playing Week 5.
Oct 6, 2022
Dealing with groin issue
Lamb didn't practice Thursday due to a groin injury, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After avoiding the injury report Wednesday, Lamb made an appearance one day later. While he didn't take part in any drills Thursday, he was spotted during the open portion of practice in the Cowboys' rehab group stretching and working with resistance cords with the training staff, according to Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. Afterward, Lamb told Todd Archer of ESPN.com that he's "fine," and "we're good. ... I don't want to scare nobody." In the end, Lamb could be proven correct if he avoids a game-day designation heading into the weekend, but for the time being his status should be monitored closely in advance of Sunday's game at the Rams.
Oct 2, 2022
Strong production again
Lamb caught six passes for 97 yards and one touchdown on eight targets against Washington on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has seemed locked in since his brutal dropped pass in Week 3, both in that game and in this strong Week 4 showing. Although the Washington pass defense is among the league's weakest, it's still reassuring to see Lamb post this clean box score with his backup quarterback, especially after a slow start to the season. Lamb will need to keep playing well to maintain his momentum against the Rams in Week 5 -- a matchup where hopefully he can avoid the coverage of Jalen Ramsey as much as possible.
Sep 27, 2022
Overcomes early drop
Lamb recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 23-16 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Lamb dropped a deep pass that would have gone for around a 40-yard gain and put the Cowboys in scoring range late in the second quarter, which appeared to be a pivotal moment in the game. However, he redeemed himself by recording six receptions for 67 yards across the final two quarters, including a one-yard touchdown reception that put the Cowboys ahead for good. Lamb has shown strong rapport with backup quarterback Cooper Rush, tallying 15 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown in his last two matchups.
Sep 18, 2022
Hauls in 75 yards in Sunday's win
Lamb caught seven of 11 targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
For the second straight game Lamb led the Cowboys in targets with 11, but the third-year wideout was a lot more productive with that volume this time around. He also posted a 6-112-0 line in Week 8 last season with Cooper Rush under center, and losing Dak Prescott (thumb) for a few weeks may not result in a big hit to Lamb's fantasy value heading into a Week 3 clash with a Giants secondary that has yet to allow more than 66 receiving yards to a WR.
Sep 12, 2022
Just two catches on 11 targets
Lamb (foot) was only able to corral two of his 11 targets in Sunday's 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was one of many key Dallas players to come out of the gates lethargic. The star wideout was dealing with a minor foot injury this preseason, but he was not listed on the Cowboys' injury report at any point during practice this week. Lamb's star quarterback, Dak Prescott (thumb), not only played poorly, but also had to exit the game with an injury that will require surgery and a multi-week recovery period. We will see how the Cowboys address their quarterback dilemma, but it is hard to envision any scenario where Lamb's fantasy value doesn't take a major hit with whoever Dallas runs out under center against the Bengals next Sunday.
Sep 7, 2022
Not on injury report
Lamb (foot) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's foot injury this preseason was never considered serious and may have just been a bad bruise. He's locked in for a large share of the Dallas passing game with Amari Cooper off to Cleveland and Michael Gallup (knee - out) coming back from an ACL tear, but there is danger of the Dallas offense declining without Cooper and LT Tyron Smith (knee - IR). Lamb starts his season against a Tampa squad that typically has good efficiency numbers for pass defense but also tends to see a lot of volume. The Bucs don't have a shutdown corner, but each of their top three guys -- Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean, Sean Murphy-Bunting -- has been with the team since at least 2019 and started at least 31 games.
Aug 26, 2022
Not in line to play Friday
Lamb (foot) is among the Cowboys' starters not in line to play in Friday's preseason finale against Seattle, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb, who is bouncing back from a foot laceration, has resumed practicing, which puts him on track to be available for Week 1 action versus the Buccaneers. Once the season starts, the 2020 first-rounder is slated to to serve at QB Dak Prescott's No. 1 wideout target.
Aug 23, 2022
Logs individual drills
Lamb (foot) returned to the practice field as a participant in individual drills Tuesday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has been sidelined for the past week after sustaning a foot laceration. The injury was never considered serious, and his return to the practice field indicates he is trending in the right direction. It remains likely that he will sit out the team's final preseason game Saturday versus the Chargers, as there is no reason for the Cowboys to risk his health. Barring any setbacks, he is presumably on track to suit up for Week 1 as the team's No. 1 pass catcher.
Aug 18, 2022
Misses another practice
Lamb (foot) won't practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb, who is dealing with what Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News describes as a cut toe, also missed Wednesday's session, but coach Mike McCarthy anticipates that the wideout will be able to return to practice next week. With that in mind, it appears as though Lamb will sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers.
Aug 17, 2022
Only has minor foot injury
Lamb's foot injury isn't considered serious, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was an observer at Wednesday's practice and may not play in an exhibition against the Chargers on Saturday, but he should be back on the field before long. He's the no-doubt No. 1 receiver in Dallas now, with Amari Cooper gone and Michael Gallup working back from an ACL tear.
Aug 17, 2022
Dealing with minor injury
Lamb will miss Wednesday's practice due to a minor injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Gehlken reports that there's no structural damage, adding that the term "injury" might even bee too strong of a descriptor. It thus sounds like Lamb should be back on the field before long, though perhaps not in time for Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers. Either way, he's locked in as Dak Prescott's go-to receiver.
Aug 13, 2022
Not likely to play Saturday
Lamb isn't slated to suit up for Saturday's preseason game in Denver, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
All of Lamb, quarterback Dak Prescott and running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are in store for no action in the Cowboys' exhibition opener. With Michael Gallup (knee) still on the PUP list and James Washington out until late September due to a broken foot, rookie third-rounder Jalen Tolbert, Noah Brown and Dennis Houston, among others, are the team's available wide receivers Saturday.
Aug 5, 2022
Headed for increased volume
Lamb is the clear top option at wide receiver for the Cowboys this season, and quarterback Dak Prescott indicated Thursday he intends to look for the third-year player every chance he gets, Nick Eatman of the team's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
"CeeDee is a guy that wants the ball, expects the ball," Prescott said. "When one guy is on him he's not covered in his head. And I appreciate that and like that. So I think in that sense yeah, as Kellen said, we'll feature him. Some plays will be designed to get it to him but in a case where everybody is one on one across the board, yeah, he's our guy to go to." The offseason departure of Amari Cooper, along with injuries to Michael Gallup (knee) and James Washington (foot), have left Lamb as the only wideout on the Dallas roster with any sort of real NFL experience to begin the year. That's likely to lead to plenty of double coverage, but it should also result in a huge uptick in targets for the 23-year-old, who averaged 7.2 targets a game over his first two seasons. With little competition for looks, at least until Gallup returns to action, Lamb could push into elite territory in that metric -- only 11 receivers averaged 9.0 targets a game or more last season, a figure that seems well within reach for CeeD
Jul 27, 2022
Healthy for training camp
Lamb (hamstring) is practicing on the first day of training camp, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb and new teammate James Washington (foot) both made it back for the start of training camp after missing June minicamp. Rookie third-round pick Jalen Tolbert is also participating, while Michael Gallup (knee) is on the PUP list after having ACL surgery in February. The Cowboys do seem optimistic about Gallup contributing early in the season, but he's no threat to Lamb's newfound status as the No. 1 receiver in Dallas.
Jun 17, 2022
Held out with minor hammy injury
Lamb was held out of June minicamp with a hamstring injury but wasn't worried about his availability for training camp, Mickey Spagnola of DallasCowboys.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News believes Lamb would've been able to practice if it had been the regular season. The 23-year-old wideout has missed one game through two years in the NFL, and he doesn't have a noteworthy history of soft-tissue injuries, hamstring or otherwise. This shouldn't have much impact on Lamb's second-round ADP in summer fantasy drafts as he prepares for his first season as the Cowboys' clear-cut No. 1 receiver.
Jan 16, 2022
Only one catch in loss
Lamb caught one of five targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the 49ers in the wild-card round. He also gained five yards on his only carry.
ANALYSIS
It was a disappointing ending to the season for Lamb and for the Cowboys, and the second-year wideout failed to find the end zone or reach 90 receiving yards in his final eight games between the regular season and the playoffs. Lamb's overall numbers still took a step forward, as he set career highs across the board with 79 catches for 1,102 yards and six TDs on 120 targets over 16 games, and he should head into 2022 as a key part of a potent passing game alongside Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper.
Jan 8, 2022
Just two catches
Lamb caught both of his targets for 45 yards in Saturday's 51-26 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lamb wasn't involved much, but he picked up first downs on both of his grabs, including a long reception of 31 yards. Although Lamb hasn't topped 70 yards over his last five contests and hasn't scored since Week 10, he still improved his rookie production across the board this season. The 22-year-old will now turn his attention toward his first-career playoff appearance, when he figures to be a big factor for the Cowboys.
Jan 3, 2022
Three catches in loss
Lamb caught three of four targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys' offense didn't really get going until late in the second quarter, and Lamb's volume suffered the most among the team's top wideouts -- four other Dallas players, including Cedrick Wilson, saw more targets. Lamb has still topped his rookie-year production with 77 catches for 1,057 yards this season, and he'll get one more chance to pad those numbers in Week 18 against the Eagles.
Dec 27, 2021
Tallies 66 yards in blowout win
Lamb had four receptions (five targets) for 66 yards and lost two yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 56-14 rout of Washington.
ANALYSIS
Amari Cooper (7-85-1) and Dalton Schultz (8-82-1) saw the bulk of the receiving action while the starters were still in the game, but Lamb still had a decent showing when factoring in that most of Dallas' offensive production came in the first half. There was plenty of garbage time in this one, so the Cowboys rested their starters for most of the second half, which could have resulted in a bigger game for the entire unit had this contest been more competitive. Lamb has continued his solid 2021 production by averaging six receptions and 66.5 yards over his last four games, but a lack of touchdowns over that span has limited his ceiling. The rising star will look for that elusive seventh trip to the end zone in a potential shootout against Arizona next Sunday.
Dec 19, 2021
Modest yardage on six grabs
Lamb brought in six of nine targets for 50 yards in the Cowboys' 21-6 win over the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb paced the Cowboys in targets and checked in second in both receptions and receiving yards to Dalton Schultz, but a lack of trips to the end zone and just an 8.3 YPC made for a relatively modest fantasy performance overall. Lamb's numbers naturally played much better in PPR formats, and he's now posted at least six receptions in three straight games. The second-year standout does have a four-game touchdown drought, however, a matter he'll next get a chance to rectify in a Week 16 battle against Washington.
Dec 12, 2021
Leads struggling passing game
Lamb caught seven passes for 61 yards on 10 targets against Washington on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb's box score is inefficient at a glance (70 percent catch rate, 6.1 yards per target), but he was Dallas' highest-volume pass catcher Sunday and his struggles were arguably more attributable to the play of Dak Prescott, who completed only 56.5 percent of his passes at 5.4 yards per attempt. Lamb's usage is reliably very high from week to week, and the second Prescott's numbers improve Lamb's likely will at a rapid rate, too.
Dec 2, 2021
Busy night in return
Lamb brought in seven of 13 targets for 89 yards in the Cowboys' 27-17 win over the Saints on Thursday night. He also rushed once for 33 yards and returned three punts for 35 yards.
ANALYSIS
Making his return after a one-game absence while in concussion protocol, Lamb turned in an excellent all-purpose effort, one that saw him pace the Cowboys in receptions and receiving yards. The second-year wideout's target tally was also a team-high figure and his second highest of the season, and his rush attempt yielded a career-long run. Lamb's first opportunity to build on what was his most well-balanced performance of the season comes a week from Sunday in a Week 14 road battle versus Washington.
Nov 29, 2021
Practices fully, clears protocol
Lamb was a full participant in Monday's practice and is in line to play Thursday against the Saints after clearing the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. "Going through the protocol, it was tough...I feel a lot better," Lamb said.
ANALYSIS
After he was diagnosed with the concussion following his early exit from the Cowboys' Week 11 loss to the Chiefs, Lamb made a strong push to clear the five-step protocol for head injuries ahead of the team's Thanksgiving Day game four days later, but he ultimately didn't receive the green light from an independent neurologist ahead of Dallas' 36-33 overtime loss to the Raiders. Lamb confirmed that he was able to pass all neurological testing at some point shortly after the game against Las Vegas, putting him on track to handle his normal starting role Thursday. Meanwhile, fellow starting wideout Amari Cooper didn't practice Monday while he was subject to cardiac testing after completing a 10-day quarantine following a positive COVID-19 test, but he should be ready to play this week if he's able to get back on the practice field at some point over the next two days. At this stage, No. 4 wideout Cedrick Wilson -- who injured his ankle Thanksgiving Day and didn't practice Monday -- looks to be the Dallas receive
Nov 28, 2021
Puts in full practice
Lamb (concussion) was deemed a full participant Sunday in the Cowboys' unofficial practice session, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After sustaining the head injury exactly one week ago in the Cowboys' loss to the Chiefs, Lamb managed only one limited practice on a short week before being ruled out ahead of Dallas' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Raiders. The Cowboys will have another quick turnaround for Week 13 with a Thursday night matchup against the Saints, but Lamb's ability to increase his practice activity a few days later bodes well for his chances of being able to play in New Orleans. He'll still need to receive clearance from an independent neurologist before exiting the concussion protocol, but head coach Mike McCarthy seems optimistic that the wideout will be able to do so in advance of Thursday's contest.
Nov 26, 2021
Should play Week 13
Lamb (concussion) will practice Sunday, with the Cowboys expecting him to return for Thursday's game at New Orleans in Week 13, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb seems to have come close to clearing concussion protocol in time for Thursday's overtime loss to the Raiders, but he ultimately wasn't able to play four days after suffering the injury. While he's expected to avoid another absence, the situation still needs to be monitored given that recovery from concussions isn't always linear. It does, however, seem likely that both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19) will be back in the lineup Week 13.
Nov 25, 2021
Inactive versus Raiders
Lamb (concussion) is officially inactive for Thursday's game against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
With both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) unavailable for the contest, the Cowboys' Week 12 wideout corps will be led by Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson, with Noah Brown and Malik Turner also in the mix. Lamb will now target a return action in Week 13, when Dallas faces New Orleans next Thursday.
Nov 25, 2021
Won't suit up Thursday
Lamb, who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Raiders, won't clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of the 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff and is set to be inactive for the contest, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Though team executives as well as head coach Mike McCarthy expressed confidence that Lamb would be ready to go for Thanksgiving Day after he returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, the second-year receiver likely wasn't able to gain medical clearance from either team doctors or an independent neurologist (or both). Lamb likely would have avoided an absence if the Cowboys were playing on Sunday this week, but the quick turnaround for their annual holiday game didn't provide enough time for the wideout to clear the necessary hurdles. Dallas is expected to officially rule him out when it releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and with both Lamb and Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) sidelined, Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown are likely to serve as the team's top three receivers. All could be in line for extra snaps and targets, while tight end Dalton Schultz and running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard may also see more involvement as pass catchers.
Nov 24, 2021
Officially questionable for Week 12
Lamb (concussion) officially is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Lamb managed just one limited appearance on the practice field this week (Wednesday) as he recovers from a concussion sustained this past Sunday at Kansas City. Despite such a tight window for Lamb to complete all five phases of the NFL's protocol for head injuries, the Cowboys have exuded confidence in the second-year pro to do so from the executive level to the coaching staff this week. "He hasn't missed a step on a short week," coach Mike McCarthy told Todd Archer of ESPN.com. "Just as we discussed on Monday, if he's able to keep progressing through, we see him as available for the game." Still, Lamb is subject to clearance from both team doctors and an independent neurologist, so hurdles remain for him to be available when the Cowboys post their list of inactives about 90 minutes before Thursday's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff. With Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) unavailable and Lamb's status up in the air, Dallas may have to rely on Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown and Malik Turner at wide receive
Nov 24, 2021
Needs clearance after full practice
Lamb (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's non-padded practice and now needs joint clearance from a club physician and an independent neurologist to play in Thursday's game against the Raiders, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb is on track to play just four days after suffering a concussion, pending the results of his upcoming examinations. The Cowboys presumably will list him as questionable on the final injury report, but his status may ultimately be known well before the 4:30 ET kickoff Thursday.
Nov 24, 2021
Returns to practice
Lamb (concussion) will return to practice Wednesday, giving him a shot to play in Thursday's game against the Raiders, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
The star wideout seems to be making quick progress and likely would be on track to suit up if the Cowboys played Sunday rather than Thursday. As is, Lamb remains uncertain, though his return to practice reportedly has the Cowboys feeling optimistic that he'll clear concussion protocol in time for the game. The team is already without WR Amari Cooper (illness) this week, heading into a 4:30 ET kickoff with the Raiders on Thursday.
Nov 23, 2021
No reps in Tuesday's practice
Dallas estimated Lamb (concussion) as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice report, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site, Dallas held what head coach Mike McCarthy described as a light "run-through" session Tuesday, but Lamb evidently hasn't advanced far enough in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to take part in even non-contact drills. With the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the Raiders being just two days away, Lamb seems to be trending toward an inactive status for the contest, though McCarthy noted the second-year wideout is staying mentally prepared to play. A more definitive word on Lamb's chances of playing against Las Vegas should arrive Wednesday, when Dallas releases its final Week 12 injury report.
Nov 22, 2021
Estimated as non-participant
The Cowboys estimated Lamb (concussion) as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Given that Lamb was diagnosed with the concussion about 24 hours earlier in Dallas' 19-9 loss to Kansas City, his listing as a non-participant on the Cowboys' initial Week 12 injury report hardly qualifies as a surprise. He'll have three more days to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of Thursday's game against the Raiders, which will be a difficult task despite Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones noting earlier Monday that Lamb is doing well in the early stages of his recovery from the head injury. Amari Cooper (reserve/COVID-19 list) has already been ruled out for Thanksgiving Day, so the Cowboys could be forced to rely heavily on Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson as their main options at receiver if Lamb is also sidelined.
Nov 22, 2021
Could play Thursday
Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said Monday that Lamb (concussion) is "doing really well" and will have a chance to play Thursday against the Raiders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs but apparently improved overnight. While the receiver will have several steps to clear under the league's concussion protocol, he appears to be on the right track ahead of Thursday's matchup against Las Vegas. Since Amari Cooper (illness) will be unavailable against the Raiders, Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson would take on leading roles if Lamb doesn't clear the concussion protocol in time.
Nov 21, 2021
Suffers concussion Sunday
Lamb won't return to Sunday's game at Kansas City due to a concussion, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb may have been injured when he attempted to break up a Dak Prescott interception at the end of the first half, when his helmet hit the turf as he landed. The second-year wide receiver stayed down for a few seconds and then didn't emerge from the locker room after halftime with his teammates. With a concussion confirmed, Lamb now be in danger of missing Thursday's game against the Raiders, like Amari Cooper, who won't suit up again after testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

Puts in full practice Wednesday
Lamb (triceps) was a full practice participant Wednesday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb departed the Cowboys' Week 10 win against the Falcons with what was termed a bruised arm at the time. He still finished with six catches (on seven targets) for 94 yards and two touchdowns, despite logging a season-low 43 percent of snaps. On Monday, Mike McCarthy told Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News that the second-year wide receivers "is going to be fine," and Lamb indeed has upheld his coach's optimism. Lamb thus will ready himself for Sunday's road contest against a Chiefs defense that has given up 8.5 yards per target to wide receivers this season (11th most in the NFL).
Nov 15, 2021
Should be ready for Week 11
Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Lamb (arm) is "going to be fine" for the team's Week 11 game in Kansas City, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb exited in the second half of Sunday's 43-3 win over the Falcons with an arm contusion, but not before turning in his second-best fantasy outing of the season (six receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets). The blowout nature of the contest may have prompted Dallas to exercise caution with Lamb, but the second-year wideout should be ready to handle a full workload by the time the weekend arrives. McCarthy wouldn't commit to Lamb turning in a full practice when the Cowboys resume workouts Wednesday, though the coach expects the receiver to be available in some capacity, according to Mark Lane of WFAA News Dallas.

Dealing with bruised arm
Lamb left Sunday's game against the Falcons due to a bruised arm, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was putting together one of his best performances of the season before sustaining the injury, sitting on six catches (on seven targets) for 94 yards and two touchdowns by the end of the third quarter. Considering Dallas is blowing out Atlanta, the Cowboys likely will play it safe with one of their top skill-position players and not risk further aggravation of the issue. Dak Prescott thus will have Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown and Malik Turner at wide receiver while Lamb is off the field.
Nov 7, 2021
Only 23 yards
Lamb recorded two receptions on nine targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Lamb led the team with nine targets, but his line was symbolic of the Cowboys offensive dysfunction. His longest reception of the day went for 18 yards and was his primary production for the entire game. While it was a disappointing performance, Lamb should be in for a bounceback effort in Week 10 against Atlanta, as he entered the contest having posted consecutive 100-yard performances.
Nov 7, 2021
Suiting up Sunday
Lamb (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb sandwiched limited practices around an absence Thursday as he dealt with an ankle injury during Week 9 prep, but the issue won't keep him off the field on game day. Fellow wide receiver Amari Cooper (hamstring) also had practice limitations this week but will be available to Dak Prescott (calf) as the quarterback makes his return after missing one game. In seven appearances this season, Lamb has three 100-yard efforts and overall has a robust 39-609-4 receiving line on 57 targets.
Nov 7, 2021
Will play Sunday
Lamb (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, is on track to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb and Amari Cooper (hamstring) both entered the weekend with designations after practicing on a limited basis Friday, but both wideouts were apparently able to do enough at the team's Saturday walk-through session to leave Dallas optimistic that its top two pass catchers will be ready to go. Fantasy managers will still want to confirm Lamb avoids the Cowboys' inactive list, which will be released 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m ET kickoff. Assuming he suits up, Lamb isn't expected to face any limitations with his snap count.
Nov 5, 2021
Questionable, should play Sunday
Lamb (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos but is expected to play, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Lamb, fellow starting wideout Amari Cooper (hamstring) is listed as questionable, but neither player looks at major risk of missing the Week 9 contest. After sitting out Thursday's practice, Lamb took part in Friday's walk-through session, and he's expected to be on the field again Saturday for an unofficial practice. Assuming he avoids the inactive list, Lamb will have the luxury of working with Dak Prescott, who enters the weekend without an injury designation after sitting out last week's win over the Vikings with a calf injury.
Nov 4, 2021
Doesn't practice Thursday
Lamb didn't practice Thursday due to an ankle sprain, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb sustained the injury during Wednesday's session, limiting his practice reps. After failing to log any activity Thursday, though, his status now appears murky just three days before a Week 9 matchup with the Broncos. Lamb will have one more chance to get on the field before the Cowboys post their final practice report of the week, but he seems likely to exit it with at least a questionable designation.
Nov 4, 2021
Limited again by sprained ankle
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Lamb is dealing with a sprained ankle and will remain a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
McCarthy noted that Lamb sustained the injury in Wednesday's practice rather than in the Cowboys' Week 8 win over the Vikings, resulting in the second-year wideout opening Week 9 prep as a limited participant. The fact that he's back on the field a day later in some capacity suggests that the sprain is a minor one, but the injury is still something fantasy managers will need to monitor heading into the weekend. If Lamb isn't able to upgrade to full participation by Friday, he'll likely carry a questionable designation into Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.
Nov 3, 2021
Limited by ankle injury
Lamb was listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report due to an ankle injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
A 2020 first-round pick, Lamb has avoided practice limitations to this point in his career, and the fact he took part in some capacity at what the Cowboys called a "scaled-back" session bodes well for his chances to be available Sunday versus the Broncos. Still, his status will be one to watch as the week goes on along with Dak Prescott (calf) and Amari Cooper (hamstring), who also were limited Wednesday.
Nov 1, 2021
112 yards in SNF win
Lamb caught six of eight targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Backup quarterback, Cooper Rush, was forced into action with Dak Prescott (calf) being ruled out prior to kickoff, but the change under center did not limit Lamb's production. It was the 22-year-old's third triple-digit receiving game this season after recording just two during his entire rookie campaign. The Oklahoma product continues to develop into a star fantasy asset, delivering on the potential many pegged him having when he was taken high in last year's draft. Lamb and the Cowboys will take on the Broncos next Sunday.
Oct 17, 2021
Overtime hero in two-TD game
Lamb caught nine of 11 targets for 149 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 35-29 overtime win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
After a quiet first half, Lamb shredded the New England secondary after the break, grabbing a one-yard TD strike late in the third quarter and then settling under a 35-yard pass from Dak Prescott for the game-winning score in OT, while making a number of crucial catches in between. The second-year receiver heads into Dallas' Week 7 bye with an outstanding 33 receptions on 49 targets for 497 yards and four TDs.
Oct 3, 2021
Quiet again
Lamb recorded two receptions on five targets for 13 yards in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Despite the down performance, Lamb managed to finish second on the team with five targets. However, Dak Prescott attempted only 22 passes, which limited the volume for all Dallas receivers. Even taking that into account, Lamb's production across the last two weeks has become concerning, as he's commanded only eight targets for five receptions and 79 yards combined. In Week 5, Lamb and the Cowboys will take on the Giants, in what could be another game where the team is limited in what they have to do offensively to earn a victory.
Sep 27, 2021
Catches three passes
Lamb caught all three of his targets for 66 yards in Monday night's 41-21 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lamb made his presence felt with a deep ball off play-action early on, going 44 yards to the one-yard line on Dallas' opening drive. The second-year wideout made a couple grabs afterward as well, but it surprisingly was tight end Dalton Schultz who led the Cowboys in all major receiving categories. Still, with at least 65 yards in each of his first three games, Lamb heads into Week 4's matchup against an improved Panthers defense -- albeit without top rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn (foot) -- with a promising recent track record.
Sep 19, 2021
Leading receiver in win
Lamb caught eight of nine targets for 81 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Chargers. He also gained 13 rushing yards on his lone carry.
ANALYSIS
The second-year receiver was the only Cowboy to see more than five targets or catch more than three passes on the afternoon100000000, and he hauled in more than double the yardage of any of his teammates. It was a quiet day overall for the team's aerial attack as offensive coordinator Kellen Moore focused on getting the Dallas running game going, but Lamb has so far been matchup-proof in 2021 heading into a Week 3 clash with the Eagles.
Sep 10, 2021
Excels in Week 1 loss
Lamb secured seven of 15 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 31-29 loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday night. He also returned one punt for 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
If not for the otherworldly exploits of teammate Amari Coopers (13-139-2), Lamb's play would have been the talk of the Cowboys' pass-catching corps. The second-year pro was an effective complementary source of production throughout the night alongside Cooper and helped answer an early Buccaneers touchdown with a 22-yard scoring grab late in the first quarter. Even with the sub-50-percent catch rate for the night, Lamb and Dak Prescott appear to already be in sync despite a relatively sparse amount of regular-season opportunities to work together to date, and the duo will aim to put together another impressive performance in a Week 2 interconference road battle against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 19.
Sep 2, 2021
Rejoins teammates
Lamb was activated from the reserve/COVID list Thursday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year pro missed a little more than a week of practice and finished the preseason with just one catch for 13 yards. The Cowboys start their campaign on the road against the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers, but with Dak Prescott (shoulder) seemingly healthy, Dallas should at least be able to move the ball Thursday night. Lamb was well on his way to a 1,000-yard rookie campaign before Prescott suffered a season-ending ankle fracture in Week 5 last year.
Sep 2, 2021
Should be activated Thursday
The Cowboys plan to activate Lamb from the reserve/COVID list Thursday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same goes for Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee and defensive tackle Carlos Watkins. All three will rejoin the team with plenty of time to prepare for Week 1, though Lamb did miss more than a week of practice. Meanwhile, QB Dak Prescott has recovered from a shoulder injury, giving the Cowboys their full stable of playmakers for next Thursday's season opener at Tampa Bay.
Aug 23, 2021
In COVID protocol
Lamb is in the NFL's COVID protocols, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Also headed for the COVID-19 list are teammates Carlos Watkins, Malik Hooker and Israel Mukuamu. Per David Moore of The Dallas Morning News, the players won't be eligible to practice until they clear COVID protocols, but should be cleared before Week 1. The Cowboys open their regular-season slate Sept. 9 against the Buccaneers.
Aug 22, 2021
Little work in Saturday's loss
Lamb caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys only had their offensive starters on the field for the first quarter, but as the group included Garrett Gilbert under center and not Dak Prescott (shoulder), there wasn't much production to go around. Lamb is locked into a significant role in the passing game when the regular season begins, but the second-year wideout's chances of putting together an explosive campaign will be tied to Prescott's health.
Aug 14, 2021
Makes brief preseason debut
Lamb failed to haul in his only target during Friday's preseason loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out last week's Hall of Fame Game against the Steelers, Lamb saw a few snaps in this one before making a quick exit. Expect the second-year receiver to see more extensive work next week against the Texans as he gets tuned up for the regular season.
Aug 13, 2021
In line to play Friday
Lamb is slated to play in Friday's preseason game at Arizona, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was held out of last Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, but considering he's in uniform during pregame warmups Friday he should see some action for the first time in an exhibition. There's a good chance he doesn't see more than a series or two, though, with two more preseason games on the slate after Friday's contest.
Aug 5, 2021
May not play Thursday night
Lamb may not play in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against Pittsburgh, according to DallasCowboys.com.
ANALYSIS
Lam is healthy and isn't on the list of 16 players who won't make the trip, but that doesn't mean he'll actually play snaps in the first of Dallas' four preseason games. Reports out of Cowboys camp suggest the second-year pro has been fantastic this summer, with David Helman of the Cowboys' official site even noting that Lamb has reached the "Dez [Bryant] level" of domination in practice.
Jul 5, 2021
Getting more perimeter work
Lamb has been working at four different receiver spots this offseason, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Most NFL offenses have an X receiver, a Z and a slot, but the Cowboys apparently have a fourth designation as well. The larger point is that Lamb has become more comfortable in Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore's scheme, so the young wideout may now see more work on the perimeter, after largely playing the slot as a rookie. He'll still see plenty of inside work in three-wide formations, perhaps moving outside to replace Michael Gallup in two-wide sets. That could in turn allow Lamb to run a few more routes per game, though it shouldn't make a huge difference in an offense that's heavily three-wide to begin with. McCarthy said he expects Lamb to make a second-year jump.
Jan 4, 2021
Five grabs in Sunday's finale
Lamb caught five of seven targets for 43 yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants, adding three rushing yards on his only carry.
ANALYSIS
The 17th overall pick in the 2020 draft more than lived up to his prospect hype with a strong rookie season, as Lamb posted a 74-935-5 line on 111 targets despite losing his starting quarterback, Dak Prescott (ankle), in Week 5. Had Prescott stayed under center, Lamb might have been neck and neck with Minnesota's Justin Jefferson in a race to re-write the rookie WR record book -- he was on pace for 93 catches and 1,385 yards through his first five games. Assuming Prescott is back and healthy in 2021, that pace gives a glimpse of what Lamb might be capable of in his second NFL season, even if he continues having to share the workload with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup.
Dec 27, 2020
Finds end zone twice against Eagles
Lamb caught three of five targets for 65 yards and a touchdown and added a second TD on a 19-yard carry in Sunday's 37-17 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
While he managed only about half of the yardage Michael Gallup or Amari Cooper did through the air, Lamb made up for it with his fourth-quarter touchdown run, capping the scoring in the rout. The rookie has now scored seven TDs on the season -- five receiving, one rushing, and one on last week's return of an onside kick -- and he needs 108 more receiving yards for 1,000 on the year. Lamb will take aim at that milestone in Week 17's clash with the Giants, as both teams remain alive in the hunt for the NFC East title.
Dec 20, 2020
Scores on onside kick return
Lamb caught five of seven targets for 85 yards and scored a touchdown on an onside kick return during Sunday's 41-33 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Lamb averaged an impressive 17.0 yards per catch thanks in large part to a career-long 45-yard reception. He finished with his third-best receiving output of the season and topped off his day with a touchdown on an onside kick return in the final moments. This strong showing represented Lamb's third-best receiving output of the season and his best since Week 5. He'll look to add to his impressive rookie numbers next Sunday against the Eagles.
Dec 14, 2020
Just two catches in win
Lamb caught both his targets for 46 yards and gained 15 rushing yards on one carry in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
The Cowboys' passing game didn't need to do much after three early Cincy fumbles led to 17 first-half points for Dallas, but Lamb made the most of his limited opportunities. The two targets were a season low for the rookie, and he hasn't reached 50 receiving yards in four straight games heading into Week 15's clash with the 49ers.
Dec 8, 2020
Tallies six grabs in loss
Lamb secured six of nine targets for 46 yards in the Cowboys' 34-17 loss to the Ravens on Tuesday night.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was particularly involved in the first half, and even though his involvement waned some in the latter portions of the contest, he still finished second only to Michael Gallup in receptions and receiving yards while tying Amari Cooper for second in targets as well. Lamb continues to mainly be utilized in a shorter-area role, which is capping his fantasy upside, particularly in half-PPR or non-PPR formats, when he doesn't find the end zone. He's now gone without a touchdown in two straight contests following back-to-back games with a score, so he'll look to start a new streak at the expense of the Bengals in Week 14.
Nov 27, 2020
Five catches against Washington
Lamb caught five of seven targets for 21 yards in Thursday's loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
He saw only one less catch and one less target than Amari Cooper or Michael Gallup, but the rookie receiver did very little with his opportunities and dropped what should have been a 10-yard touchdown late in the third quarter when the game's outcome was still in doubt. Lamb has now failed to top 40 yards in four of the last five games, posting a 17-153-2 line on 30 targets over that stretch, but his steady target volume should keep him on the fantasy radar even if he's little more than a TD-dependent dart throw at the moment.
Nov 22, 2020
TD grab in win over Vikings
Lamb caught four of six targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Vikings. He also gained 12 rushing yards on two carries and ran in a two-point conversion.
ANALYSIS
While the rookie didn't gain much real estate, Lamb grabbed his fourth TD of the season in the second quarter on a four-yard toss from Andy Dalton. The entire Cowboys offense looked much improved after the team's bye with Dalton back under center, and as a result Lamb's fantasy fortunes are on the upswing again heading into a Thanksgiving clash with Washington.
Nov 8, 2020
Hauls in third TD in loss
Lamb caught four of seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The switch to Garrett Gilbert at quarterback restored a bit of a spark to the Cowboys' passing game, and Lamb put together his best performance since Dak Prescott (ankle) was injured, with his second-quarter TD giving the Cowboys a surprising 10-0 lead that eventually evaporated. Despite the turmoil around him, the rookie wideout continues to impress, but whether Gilbert or Andy Dalton (concussion) will be throwing him passes coming out of the team's Week 10 bye remains to be seen.
Nov 2, 2020
Five touches in SNF loss
Lamb caught four of five targets for 27 yards while adding 19 yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 23-9 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was held without a catch last week, so while his production was modest at best, it was actually a step in the right direction during the Ben Dinucci Era. The talented rookie is unlikely to put up those triple-digit receiving games we saw earlier this year until Dak Prescott (leg) returns next season, but it certainly looks like he won't be posting any useful fantasy lines so long as the team is on its third-string quarterback. Former back and incumbent starter, Andy Dalton (concussion), could return this week, but the offensive line remains in shambles heading into a rough matchup against the undefeated Steelers on Sunday, making it tough to rely on any Dallas receiver.
Oct 25, 2020
Held without a catch
Lamb failed to catch any of his five targets and gained one yard on his lone rushing attempt during Sunday's 25-3 loss to the Football Team.
ANALYSIS
Lamb couldn't bring in any passes from Andy Dalton (concussion) and hardly stood a chance on any of the looks rookie third-string quarterback Ben DiNucci sent his way after entering the game. He had at least receptions and seven targets in every game entering this contest, so the goose egg was a large departure from what fantasy managers had come to expect. Lamb's struggles could continue in next Sunday night's game against the Eagles if the team can't field a competent starter at quarterback, though it seems likely a veteran could be brought in from outside the organization if Dalton is forced to sit out.
Oct 20, 2020
Co-team-high reception tally Monday
Lamb hauled in seven of 10 targets for 64 yards in the Cowboys' 38-10 loss to the Cardinals on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lamb drew even with Amari Cooper for the team lead in receptions while checking in second to him in receiving yardage. New starter Andy Dalton locked in on Lamb frequently during the second half in particular, although as the rookie receiver's final line demonstrates, almost all of the targets were very close to the line of scrimmage. The fact Lamb logged a double-digit target total in his first game with Dalton under center does certainly give fantasy managers reason for optimism, and the he'll look to put together another productive effort versus the Washington Football Team in Week 7.
Oct 11, 2020
Career-high yardage in win
Lamb caught eight of 11 targets for a career-high 124 yards in Sunday's 37-34 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was Dak Prescott's favorite target through the early part of the game, and no other Cowboys' receiver ended the afternoon with more than four targets. However, after Prescott left in the third quarter with a likely season-ending ankle injury and Andy Dalton took over under center, it was Michael Gallup who was on the end of two huge completions to set up the game-winning field goal. It remains to be seen what the Dallas passing game will look like with Dalton taking the reins, but Lamb should remain heavily involved heading into a Week 6 clash with Arizona.
Oct 4, 2020
Scores first two TDs
Lamb caught five of seven targets for 79 yards and two touchdowns while adding one three-yard carry during Sunday's 49-38 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Lamb was wide open for a 43-yard touchdown in the first quarter and capped off his team's scoring for the day with a five-yard strike in the fourth. He had yet to reach the end zone through his first three NFL games, so his ability to get behind the defense and his usage in the red zone Sunday were positive developments for his future fantasy value. Moreover, Lamb finished second on the team in receiving yards and is now on pace for over 1,200 yards for his rookie year, making him a viable fantsy option for next Sunday's matchup with the Giants.
Sep 28, 2020
Solid numbers in loss
Lamb caught five of six targets for 65 yards and gained one rushing yard on one carry in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
In a vacuum it looks like a solid performance, but Lamb actually finished fourth on the Cowboys in receiving yards on a day when Dak Prescott aired it out 57 times. The rookie wideout has looked good to begin his career, catching 16 of 21 targets for 230 yards and a TD through three games, and he'll try to add to those numbers in Week 4 against a Browns defense that's already given up five touchdowns to opposing WRs.
Sep 20, 2020
Team's top receiver against Atlanta
Lamb hauled in six of nine targets for 106 receiving yards during Sunday's 40-39 win against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
The first-round rookie wideout had an encouraging, yet modest NFL debut in registering 59 receiving yards on five catches, but Week 2 marked his breakout. Lamb and Amari Cooper torched the depleted Falcons' secondary, combining for a dozen catches and more than 200 yards on the afternoon. Lamb contributed an enormous play in the waning stages of Sunday's contest, tearing off a 24-yard gain on Dallas' final drive to set up Greg Zuerlein with a 46-yard field goal for the walkoff win. The 21-year-old wideout carries momentum heading into a Week 3 matchup against Seattle, and a Seahawks defense that allowed three different wideouts to go for nine catches and 110-plus receiving yards in its season opener.
Sep 14, 2020
59 yards in NFL debut
Lamb had five catches (six targets) for 59 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lamb made a big splash with a 33-yard reception on a deep crossing pattern, but it was otherwise a quiet night for the 17th-overall pick in his NFL debut. Even without a preseason, the rookie didn't look over-matched in his first taste of action against an NFL defense (and a good one at that). Amari Cooper led all Cowboy wideouts by a wide margin in terms of receptions (10) and targets (14), so it appears Lamb and fellow starter Michael Gallup (three receptions for 50 yards) will share No. 2 duties behind Cooper early in the season. The 21-year-old possesses loads of potential, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the occasional WR1 performance, especially in shootouts. That said, Sunday's opponent (the Atlanta Falcons) appears to be a prime example of a shootout-prone team, as they boast a powerful offense and a defense that just got torched for 322 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
Aug 27, 2020
Continues to impress in camp
Lamb has lined up both outside and in the slot during camp and has looked comfortable in all formations, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore seems intent on finding ways to get the ball into the rookie's hands, as Lamb has been used on jet sweeps and reverses as well. It remains to be seen how big a workload Lamb can carve out working behind established options Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup this season, but he has the talent to make an impact on a per-touch basis even if he doesn't get a lot of volume.
Aug 14, 2020
Wows with one-handed grab
Lamb made a big impression during individual drills Friday by making a spectacular one-handed grab, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
While the catch itself was noteworthy enough, Lamb also got a chance to showcase his elite body control as he adjusted to a throw that was high and behind him. The rookie also took reps as a punt returner, but it's his ability as a receiver in a potentially high-volume Dallas passing game that gives Lamb such intrigue as a fantasy asset, even with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup ahead of him on the depth chart.
Jun 4, 2020
Could make impact as returner
Lamb could be used as the Cowboys' primary punt returner in addition to his duties on offense, Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas hasn't had a player return a punt for a touchdown since 2017 and didn't have a single punt return over 15 yards last season, so the door is wide open for Lamb to seize the job. The rookie receiver had three returns of 40-plus yards during his college career and an 8.8 yard average on punt returns, and his elusiveness in the open field could make him a weapon on new coach John Fassel's special teams unit.
