Sent to injured reserve
Tampa Bay placed Mauch (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.
ANALYSIS
In addition to Mauch, the Bucs also placed starting RT Luke Goedeke (foot) on injured reserve. The team has lost its right side of the offensive line. While Mauch is expected to miss the remainder of the season, that's not the case for Goedeke, who will be sidelined a minimum of four games.

Done for year
Mauch suffered a season-ending knee injury in Monday's 20-19 win over the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Mauch was able to finish the contest, but he'll now be sidelined for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. In his absence, Elijah Klein will likely get the first crack at the starting role at right guard, while the team is also expected to sign Dan Feeney off the Bills' practice squad.

Dealing with knee injury
Mauch (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
It's not clear when he picked up the knee issue, but Mauch is now the third starting lineman for Tampa Bay whose status for Week 3 is in serious jeopardy. He'll probably have to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have any chance to suit up Sunday versus the Jets.

Active for opener
Mauch (back) is active for Sunday's game against Minnesota, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 second-round pick out of North Dakota State will make his debut after missing both Thursday and Friday's practices with a back injury. Expect Mauch to start at right guard for Tampa Bay during Sunday's contest.

Officially questionable for Sunday
Mauch (back) is listed as questionable Friday for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
He appears to be more on the doubtful end of questionable, as he missed practice entirely both Thursday and Friday. Mauch will likely need to log at least a limited practice Saturday to have a chance to suit up for Week 1.

Headed south to Tampa
The Buccaneers selected Mauch in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 48th overall.
ANALYSIS
Mauch (6-foot-5, 302 pounds) is light for a guard and arrives to the NFL a bit older than ideal (turned 24 in January), so he's unlikely to add much mass to his frame. The North Dakota State product might therefore be better suited to zone-blocking tasks than power assignments, but in that capacity, he could prove to be standout. Though undersized, Mauch potentially offsets that concern with his impressive athleticism (5.08-second 40-yard dash, 108-inch broad jump, 7.33-second three-cone drill).
