Gets into end zone in Week 14
Kupp caught two of three targets for 35 yards and a touchdown Sunday in a 37-9 victory versus the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
For the first time since Rashid Shaheed joined Seattle, he played a big part on offense with a 4-67-0 line on five targets. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba (7-92-2 on 10 targets) also putting up his usual substantial production, that left just three targets for Kupp. The good news for Kupp's fantasy managers is that one of the veteran wideout's two catches was an 11-yard TD early in the fourth quarter. With that being said, Kupp has now caught three or fewer passes seven straight games, and with Shaheed potentially trending up in terms of involvement, Kupp figures to continue to be a risky weekly fantasy play.

Three catches in blowout win
Kupp caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has now finished with either 23 or 24 yards exactly in three straight games, and he was able to lead all wideouts in receiving yards in Week 13. The 32-year-old hasn't exceeded three catches in a game since Week 5, and he hasn't found the end zone over his last five contests, limiting his upside greatly.
Nov 24, 2025
Snares two passes in win
Kupp caught two of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Once again, this offense ran through Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who hauled in eight passes (10 targets) for 167 yards and two touchdowns. Kupp tied for second on the team in targets but failed to produce much for fantasy purposes. He has just 31 receptions for 414 yards and a touchdown through 10 games this year. Kupp draws a tough Week 13 test against the Vikings' seventh-ranked pass defense.
Nov 16, 2025
Quiet in return to Los Angeles
Kupp secured just three of seven targets for 23 yards in the Seahawks' 21-19 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Making his return to Los Angeles after he was released by the Rams during the offseason, Kupp was a fixture in two-wide sets alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but Kupp's quiet season continued, as his 23 yards were fifth-most on the team despite being third on Seattle in targets. The 32-year-old has yet to hit 100 yards in a game this season and has just 29 catches for 390 yards and one touchdown on 42 targets through nine games. Even in a plus matchup next Sunday against the Titans, Kupp won't be a recommended fantasy starter.
Nov 9, 2025
Gains 74 yards in blowout win
Kupp (hamstring) finished with two receptions on as many targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kupp showed no ill effects from the hamstring injury that had Sunday's status in question after he scampered for 67 yards on one of his two catches. The veteran receiver is averaging just two targets over the Seahawks' last three contests, putting a hard cap on his fantasy value despite recording solid production on low usage. The addition of WR Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline could eventually cut into Kupp's role further as the season progresses. That said, Kupp's hot play of late combined with the potential to produce against his former club keeps him in the fantasy conversation against the Rams next Sunday.
Nov 9, 2025
Available in Week 10
Kupp (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday versus the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kupp sat out the Seahawks' Week 9 win at Washington due to hamstring and heel injuries. He then didn't take part in Wednesday's walkthrough before being limited at Thursday's practice and full in Friday's session. A questionable designation ensued for Week 10 action, and dueling reports Saturday evening were positive (via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com) and more uncertain (per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network) for Kupp's ability to play Sunday. Now that Kupp's status has been clarified, he'll be among Seattle's available wide receivers behind No. 1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba along with newcomer Rashid Shaheed and the elevated Cody White and Ricky White with Tory Horton (groin/shin) and Jake Bobo (calf) inactive and Dareke Young (quadriceps) on injured reserve.
Nov 9, 2025
Status 'still up in air' for Week 10
Kupp (hamstring/heel), who remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, has improved odds of playing this week compared to Week 9, but his status for the contest is "still up in the air," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Rapoport report casts a less optimistic tone of Kupp's Week 10 availability than the report issued about an hour earlier by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, who relayed that the veteran receiver was expected to play through the two injuries that kept him sidelined for last week's win over the Commanders. Kupp's ability to take part in the Seahawks' final practice of the week Friday is generally a good indication that he'll be able to play Sunday, but those planning on including him in fantasy lineups will want to verify his status when Seattle releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If he suits up Sunday, Kupp could end up ranking as a tertiary target in the passing game behind No. 1 option Jaxon Smith-Njigba and new arrival Rashid Shaheed, whom the Seahawks acquired Tuesday in exchange for 2026 fourth- and fifth-round draft picks.
Nov 8, 2025
Expected to play Week 10
Kupp (hamstring) is expected to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp missed last Sunday night's win over the Commanders but looks ready to return to the lineup following a one-game absence. With Tory Horton (groin) doubtful and Jake Bobo (calf) ruled out, Kupp should slide right back into three-wide sets alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba and newcomer Rashid Shaheed. Kupp has yet to hit 100 yards in a game this season and is averaging a career-low 41.9 receiving yards per contest through seven appearances. Kupp has minimal fantasy value.
Nov 7, 2025
Looking good after full practice
Kupp (hamstring/heel) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona, but he appears on track to play after upgrading to full practice participation Friday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp missed a Week 9 rout of the Commanders after injuring his hamstring last Thursday, but it seems he was correct when he downplayed the severity, as he's now looking good to play just 10 days after the initial injury. Seattle's wideout depth is depleted, including No. 3 receiver Tory Horton (shin) being listed as questionable, which means Kupp could get plenty of snaps even with the addition of Rashid Shaheed.
Nov 7, 2025
Deemed questionable
Kupp (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
He got the same designation last week and didn't ended up playing, listed as inactive for a win over Washington just three days after hurting his hamstring in practice. Kupp suggested he could be back as soon as Week 10, and it turns out the Seahawks could really use him even after trading for Rashid Shaheed. Tory Horton (shin) is listed as doubtful, likely joining backups Dareke Young (out - quad) and Jake Bobo (out - calf) on the inactive list. That doesn't mean Kupp will play if he isn't ready, but it does mean he could get a lot of snaps if he's active ahead of the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kupp doesn't play, Shaheed and Cody White will be the favorites to join Jaxon Smith-Njigba for regular snaps at wide receiver.
Nov 6, 2025
Back as limited participant
Kupp (hamstring/heel) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp thus logged his first on-field work in exactly one week, potentially him on a path to miss just one game as a result of hamstring and heel injuries. Meanwhile, all of Tory Horton (groin/shin), Jake Bobo (calf) and Dareke Young (quadriceps) didn't practice Thursday, leaving the Seahawks with just two healthy wide receivers in Jaxon Smith-Njigba and newcomer Rashid Shaheed. Friday's practice report will reveal who among the quartet will have a chance to be available alongside Smith-Njigba and Shaheed this Sunday against the Cardinals.
Nov 5, 2025
No practice Wednesday
Kupp (hamstring/heel) was a non-participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Mike Macdonald told Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic earlier Wednesday that Kupp would be limited to begin Week 10 prep, but instead he didn't log any work. Kupp now has been listed as DNP on back-to-back injury reports dating back to last week as he tends to hamstring and heel issues, but he'll have two more chances to practice this week before the Seahawks potentially make a ruling on his status for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Since Kupp was sidelined this past Sunday in Washington, Tory Horton stepped up behind No. 1 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba and notched four catches (on four targets) for 48 yards and two touchdowns, and Seattle then acquired Rashid Shaheed from the Saints before Tuesday's trade deadline, so the pecking order at the position seemingly will be different once Kupp is healthy enough to play.
Nov 2, 2025
Inactive Sunday, as expected
Kupp (heel/hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's contest at Washington.
ANALYSIS
Kupp opened Week 9 prep as a full participant with a heel injury, but a hamstring issue arose Thursday that limited him and then kept him out of drills entirely Friday. A questionable designation for Kupp ensued, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday night that the veteran wide receiver was unlikely to suit up Sunday. Now that Kupp's lack of availability is confirmed, he'll join Jake Bobo (Achilles) and Dareke Young (quadriceps) in street clothes. No. 1 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba dominates the attention of QB Sam Darnold, but rookie fifth-round pick Tory Horton figures to garner looks behind Smith-Njigba, and practice-squad elevations Cody White and Ricky White also will be on hand for snaps and targets.
Nov 2, 2025
Likely to sit out Week 9
Kupp (heel/hamstring), who is officially questionable to play Sunday versus Washington, is not expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp first appeared on the injury list Wednesday due to a heel injury, and he was then designated with an additional hamstring problem Thursday. After not practicing Friday, he entered the weekend deemed questionable, and it appears he's not going to be able to play against the Commanders. Tory Horton will likely move into the No. 2 wideout role behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Seattle. With WRs Jake Bobo (Achilles) and Dareke Young (quadriceps) already ruled out, the Seahawks elevated Cody White and Ricky White from their practice squad Saturday.
Oct 31, 2025
Questionable for Sunday night
Kupp (heel/hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Washington, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
No. 3 wideout Tory Horton could get more playing time than usual, with Kupp listed as questionable while backups Jake Bobo (Achilles) and Dareke Young (hip) have already been ruled out. It's a situation where practice-squad promotions won't necessarily provide information on Kupp's chances to play, as the Seahawks need depth at wide receiver even if it turns out the 32-year-old is fine to handle his usual role. Kupp opened the week as a full practice participant, listed with only a heel injury, before downgrading to 'limited' Thursday and having a hamstring injury added to the report. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald confirmed Friday that the hamstring injury happened during practice -- perhaps not the best sign for Kupp's odds of avoiding the inactive list ahead of an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday night.
Oct 30, 2025
Tending to hamstring injury
Kupp (heel/hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
One day removed from being listed as full with just a heel injury Wednesday, Kupp experienced a downgrade in activity level as a hamstring issue was added to Seattle's practice report. His status thus is worth monitoring as the week goes on to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game at Washington. With Jake Bobo (Achilles) limited Thursday and Dareke Young (quadriceps) unable to practice so far this week, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tory Horton are the only healthy wide receivers on the Seahawks' active roster at the moment.
Oct 21, 2025
Throws INT on trick play
Kupp caught his only target for 32 yards and threw an interception on failed trick play in Monday's 27-19 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks tried to get cute in the second quarter with a wide receiver pass play that resulted in an interception for Kupp. Depending on league settings, the veteran wideout's rare turnover may have erased more than half of his fantasy production Monday. The one target is the concerning takeaway after Kupp scored his first touchdown as a member of the Seahawks in Week 6. The 32-year-old will carry a 24-293-1 receiving line into Seattle's upcoming bye week before resuming play against the Commanders on Nov. 2.
Oct 12, 2025
First TD as Seahawk
Kupp secured two of three targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' 20-12 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kupp got into the end zone for the first time as a member of the Seahawks, recording an 11-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter. The veteran wideout remains a distant No. 2 in the offense's pecking order behind No. 1 receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who had another prolific afternoon Sunday and has logged 56 targets to Kupp's 32. Kupp has now been under 60 receiving yards for four straight games heading into a challenging Week 7 home matchup against the Texans on Monday night, Oct. 20.
Oct 5, 2025
Solid PPR effort Sunday
Kupp corralled six of nine targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp produced his second best receiving line as a member of the Seahawks while finishing in a tie with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the team lead in targets (nine) Sunday. The 32-year-old Kupp was held out of the end zone for the fifth time in as many attempts this season, resulting in a useful PPR score and not much else. The former Los Angeles Ram has carved out a decent role as the Seahawks' No. 2 receiver, but he lacks the upside that once made him a must-start option in fantasy. Kupp's upside is capped as a flex option for a Week 6 matchup against the Jaguars.
Sep 26, 2025
Four catches in Week 4 win
Kupp brought in four of five targets for 26 yards in the Seahawks' 23-20 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kupp tied Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the team lead in receptions and targets on a night when Sam Darnold spread the ball around to eight different pass catchers overall. However, the veteran wideout averaged just 6.5 yards per catch, but the fact he remains a clear No. 2 option in what is a mostly concentrated air attack will continue to afford Kupp solid fantasy value, especially in PPR formats. The veteran wideout will now have some extra time to gear up for a Week 5 home matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Sep 21, 2025
Just two grabs Sunday
Kupp had two receptions on three targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 44-13 win over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Kupp reverted to his low-usage role after commanding nine targets in a Week 2 win over Las Vegas. The veteran wideout finished third in targets, receptions and yardage for the Seahawks behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba (5-96-1) and Tory Horton (3-32-1). Perhaps Kupp can get more involved in Week 4 against a familiar NFC West opponent in the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.
Sep 14, 2025
Seven catches in Week 2 bounce back
Kupp caught seven of nine targets for 90 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp bounced back from a two-catch Seahawks debut but once again finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Kupp and JSN combined for 19 targets while no other teammate had more than four, but Sam Darnold's first two touchdown passes of the season went to Tory Horton and AJ Barner. Up next for Seattle's new-look passing game is a Week 3 home game against the Saints.
Sep 7, 2025
Non-factor in SEA debut
Kupp brought in two of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp struggled to establish himself in Seattle's new-look offense, finishing a distant second behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba (9-124-0) in overall production. The 32-year-old Kupp may not be his former MVP self, but the fact he still finished second in targets bodes well for his prospects in games with higher passing volume than the 23 attempts we witnessed Sunday. For now, Kupp's fantasy value may be limited to deeper formats for next week's contest against the Steelers.
Aug 16, 2025
No targets in preseason debut
Kupp started Friday's preseason tilt against the Chiefs, but he did not receive a target during his brief appearance.
ANALYSIS
Kupp made his official debut with the Seahawks after switching allegiances within the NFC West this past offseason. The veteran superstar had little to do in his one drive of action after Zach Charbonnet (5-45-1) stole the show on the ground. The end of Kupp's tenure with the Rams saw his production dwarfed by injury, with his last 1,000-yard season coming during his MVP run in 2021. The 32-year-old will look for a fresh start while starting opposite Jaxon Smith-Njigba and catching balls from Sam Darnold in 2025.
Aug 3, 2025
Set to sit preseason opener
Kupp and the rest of the Seahawks' starters won't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Raiders, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
We'll have to wait to see how well Kupp functions with Sam Darnold in the Seahawks' new offense under offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. Kupp has missed 18 games over the past three seasons, but he was still impressive when healthy last year with three 100-yard performances and six touchdowns over 12 regular-season games. However, he's now 32 years old and is expected to be the No. 2 wideout behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Mar 14, 2025
Finds new home in Pacific Northwest
The Seahawks and Kupp agreed to terms of a contract Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, it's a three-year deal for Kupp, who spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Rams. Kupp will join a receiving corps that moved on from DK Metcalf (traded to the Steelers) and Tyler Lockett (released) this offseason, meaning he'll be working with third-year pro Jaxon Smith-Njigba and veteran vertical threat Marquez Valdes-Scantling in an offense led by new QB Sam Darnold. Since his standout 145-1,947-16 performance on 191 targets in 2021, Kupp hasn't surpassed 75 catches, 812 yards or six touchdowns in any of the ensuing three campaigns while missing 18 regular-season contests during that span.
Mar 14, 2025
In talks with Seattle?
The Seahawks are trying to sign Kupp, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
There were contradicting reports earlier Friday about the Cowboys pushing to sign Kupp (or not). It's unclear to what extent he'll prioritize money, winning, scheme fit or other factors, but it's fair to say Seattle will be at a disadvantage if he's inclined to take less money for a shot at the Super Bowl. Dallas would be somewhat more likely in that case, although still far from the best option. That said, it's a tough market for ring-chasing, as the Super Bowl favorites -- KC, PHI, BUF, BAL, etc. -- all appear set at wide receiver and/or signed veterans earlier this week.
Mar 14, 2025
Unlikely to sign with Dallas?
David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys aren't in the mix to sign Kupp, despite ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting otherwise Friday morning.
ANALYSIS
Schefter referred to the Cowboys as a "sleeper team that has emerged and is now making a push" to sign Kupp, while Moore says "it won't happen" after talking to a person with "knowledge of the club's thinking." We may never know which report was accurate, unless, of course, Kupp ends up signing with the Cowboys. Other reports have suggested a number of teams are interested, which makes sense given the weak free-agent crop of wide receivers. Kupp turns 32 in June and hasn't played more than 12 regular-season games in a year since 2021, but he should at least remain useful as a possession receiver for another year or three.
Mar 14, 2025
Talking with Cowboys
The Cowboys are pushing to sign Kupp, would may decide on his next team as soon as Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams released Kupp on Wednesday, with subsequent reports suggesting numerous teams are interested in signing him. That's no surprise, considering he mostly remained productive when he wasn't injured last year and now becomes arguably the top WR in an extremely weak free-agent class. On the other hand, he'll turn 32 this summer, missed at least five games each of the past three seasons, and finished 2024 with career lows of 10.6 yards per catch and 7.1 yards per target. There's also the matter of his best fit being the slot, where CeeDee Lamb has done a large portion of his damage in recent years. Granted, that's a better problem than the Cowboys' current problem of not having enough talent alongside Lamb.
Mar 12, 2025
Released by Rams
The Rams are releasing Kupp, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Unable to find a trade, the Rams will instead make Kupp a free agent right at the start of the new league year. He figures to have plenty of suitors, with Peter Schrager of FOX Sports already reporting that at least three teams are interested. He's never averaged less than 57.9 yards per game over the course of a season, but Kupp missed at least five games each of the past thee years and finished 2024 with career lows for yards per catch (10.6) and yards per target (7.1). He'll turn 32 in June, making it unlikely that his next contract contains any guaranteed money beyond 2025-26.
Mar 10, 2025
Release expected soon
The Rams are expected to release Kupp after the beginning of the new league year Wednesday, barring a trade coming to pass, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Through eight pro campaigns, Kupp has only two 1,000-yard seasons to his name, but his 146-1.947-16 line on 191 targets from 2021 will serve as one of the greatest years for a wide receiver in NFL history. Since then, he's missed 18 games while averaging a 67-753-5.7 line on 97.7 targets per season from 2022-24. The arrival of fifth-round pick Puka Nacua in 2023 resulted in a changing of the guard as the top pass catcher in the Rams offense, and Sunday's signing of Davante Adams gives the team an upgrade at No. 2. L.A. has been seeking to trade Kupp since at least early February, but considering his recent returns and age (he turns 32 in June), the Rams haven't garnered any notable interest as of yet. In any case, clarity on his situation figures to arrive in the near future.
Mar 3, 2025
Still likely to be traded or cut
Kupp remains unlikely to stay with the Rams for 2025, SI.com's Albert Breer reports.
ANALYSIS
There was some thought Kupp and Matthew Stafford would both be traded/released and move on to the same team. Stafford instead signed a new contract, but that apparently doesn't mean Kupp will do the same, as the Rams are hoping to free up cap space and may envision Jordan Whittington quickly becoming an effective replacement in the slot. Kupp will turn 32 in June and has two years remaining on his contract, with the remaining on-guaranteed money consisting of a $12.5 million base salary in 2025, a $14.85 million base salary in 2026 and a $5 million roster bonus in 2026. Given his age and recent injury troubles, Kupp is unlikely to attract much trade interest without a pay cut, which means he'd probably be better off if the Rams simply released him before the start of the new league year and allowed him to hit the open market at a time when numerous teams have a need at his position as well as plenty of cap space. If a trade happens instead, it'll likely be for a late draft pick.

Says team plans to trade him
Kupp announced Monday evening that the Rams informed him they will be looking to trade him in the immediate future.
ANALYSIS
"I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships," Kupp wrote Monday. "I don't agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA." He said after the Rams' divisional-round loss to the Eagles that he planned to continue his playing career, but it always felt like it was headed this direction, with the Rams and Kupp parting ways. Kupp turns 32 years old in June and is coming off an extremely slow finish to the 2024 season, one in which he was clearly overtaken as the Rams' WR1 by Puka Nacua. Kupp has two years left on his current contract, one that is set to pay him $12.5 million and $14.85 million salaries the next two seasons. It may be a difficult contract to move, but the acquiring team would likely look to restructure Kupp's deal. The Rams may envision Jordan Whittington as Kupp's much cheaper replacement out of the slot.
Jan 20, 2025
Plans to continue playing career
Kupp said Monday that he plans to continue his playing career next season but admitted he's not sure if it will be with the Rams, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
"I feel like I've got a lot of good football left in me," Kupp said. "I'll be playing football next year. That much I know. ... I don't have any clarity on what that's going to look like or anything like that. So yeah, obviously would love to be in L.A., but I don't know what that's going to look like." Kupp turns 32 years old in June and is coming off a slow finish to the 2024 season, as he ceded the clear WR1 role to Puka Nacua. Kupp is under contract through 2026, but the Rams could opt to cut him before a $5 million roster bonus is due in March. Designating Kupp as a post-June 1 cut would clear $15 million in cap space and leave behind $14.78 million in dead money. If not designated as a post-June 1 cut, the Rams would eat $22.26 million in dead cap hit, clearing just $7.52 million. In pure cash terms, releasing Kupp saves Los Angeles $15 million. If the Rams opt to move on from Kupp, Jordan Whittington makes for a natural in-house replacement out of the slot.
Jan 19, 2025
Five catches in playoff defeat
Kupp caught five of seven targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 28-22 NFC divisional-round loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Kupp's 30-yard catch in the third quarter exceeded his receiving yardage total from each of the previous four games, but his season-ending touchdown drought reached five games as the Rams were knocked out of the playoffs. There is a potential out in Kupp's contract prior to the 2025 season, and the Rams will have to consider using it rather than bringing the veteran wide receiver back for his age-32 season at a $29.78 million cap hit given Kupp's poor finish to the campaign. Kupp caught 67 of 100 targets for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 regular-season appearances but added only six catches for 90 yards in two playoff games.
Jan 14, 2025
Makes lone catch count
Kupp caught his lone target for 29 yards during the Rams' 27-9 wild-card victory over the Vikings on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout saw his playing time reduced significantly in the Rams' playoff opener, taking the field for just 29 out of 53 snaps on offense. Kupp's only catch of the contest came in the third quarter, converting on a third-and-long to set up a Joshua Karty 44-yard field goal. While Kupp's quiet performance may be concerning, it came on a night where Tyler Higbee (chest) led the team with 58 yards receiving on just 12 snaps, so the Rams' passing attack as a whole was fairly muted. Kupp will have a chance to bounce back in the divisional round against the Eagles.
Jan 3, 2025
Won't play this week
Kupp will be held out of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
The same goes for QB Matthew Stafford, RB Kyren Williams and WR Puka Nacua, among others. Kupp and Co. will be back on the field for the wild-card round to host the Lions, Vikings, Commanders or Packers.
Dec 29, 2024
Disappears again
Kupp recorded one reception on three targets for 29 yards in Saturday's 13-9 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kupp's one reception was pivotal to the Rams' win, as it helped set up their only touchdown of the game. However, the performance continued his recent slide in production, as he has now been held below 30 receiving yards in four of his last five games. Kupp hasn't been on the injury report since returning from an ankle injury in Week 8, making his recent disappearance from the offense particularly baffling.
Dec 22, 2024
Late-season slump continues
Kupp caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has faded at the worst possible time for fantasy managers, with just 24 yards on seven targets in Weeks 15 and 16 combined. Puka Nacua has 153 receiving yards on 17 targets over that span, so Nacua has pulled away from Kupp as the clear No. 1 option in the passing game. Kupp and the Rams will be back in sunny Los Angeles for a Week 17 home game against the Cardinals, which should help the entire passing offense get back on track after struggling in the cold confines of MetLife Stadium.
Dec 13, 2024
Comes up empty on three targets
Kupp failed to bring in any of his three targets in the Rams' 12-6 win over the 49ers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The wet conditions certainly played a role, but seeing Kupp finish without a catch for the first time since Week 10 of the 2019 season and second time in his career was still shocking, not to mention especially ill-timed from a fantasy perspective. Kupp had entered Thursday with at least 60 receiving yards in five of the previous six games, and he'll naturally have nowhere to go but up in a Week 16 road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Dec. 22.
Dec 8, 2024
Bounces back in win
Kupp recorded five receptions on eight targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-42 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was overshadowed by Puka Nacua's 162-yard performance, but he had a solid showing of his own while operating as the Rams' big-play threat. He had long receptions of 37 and 24 yards and also found the end zone on a 17-yard reception late in the third quarter. After combining to record only 77 yards across his last two games, this was a needed bounceback performance for Kupp, though he is still clearly operating behind Nacua as the number two option in the passing game.

Rare dud in road win
Kupp caught three of six targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was shut down by the Saints' defense Sunday, producing the worst stat line of his 2024 campaign. The star wideout simply deferred to Puka Nacua (5-56-1) and Kyren Williams (15-104-1) in Sunday's tightly-contested victory. Kupp should be hungry for targets in a game that might require more points to win against Buffalo next Sunday.
Nov 25, 2024
Notches fifth TD on SNF
Kupp hauled in eight of 11 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Fellow wideout Puka Nacua (9-117-0) led the Rams in all receiving categories, but it was Kupp who cashed in one of two passing touchdowns for Los Angeles. The MVP of Super Bowl LVI is now up to five touchdowns in seven healthy games this season. Kupp and Nacua should continue complementing each other as star teammates when the Rams visit the Saints next Sunday.
Nov 17, 2024
Explodes with two-TD performance
Kupp secured six of 10 targets for 106 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 28-22 victory against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
It was vintage Kupp in the third quarter, breaking free at midfield and running uncontested the rest of the way for a 69-yard touchdown, his second of the game after a six-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter. Kupp wasn't the only one to scorch the Patriots, as Puka Nacua tacked on seven catches for 123 yards and a touchdown of his own. Kupp's resurgence may hit a roadblock in Week 12, as a top-tier Eagles pass defense lies in wait for the Rams in Week 12.
Nov 11, 2024
Clean receiving performance Monday
Kupp hauled in all seven of his targets for 80 yards in Monday's 23-15 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Kupp turned in another efficient effort starting alongside fellow star wideout Puka Nacua. The 31-year-old Kupp continues to be the definition of consistency as he enters the later stages of his career, producing usable fantasy lines in four out of his five healthy appearances this season. Managers should continue starting Kupp with confidence as the Rams prepare to take on the Patriots in Week 11.
Nov 3, 2024
Goes for 11-104-0 Sunday
Kupp corralled 11 of 14 targets for 104 yards in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Kupp went for 5-51-1 in his return from an ankle injury last week, improving on those totals with Sunday's 11-catch effort. The 31-year-old survived trade rumors in recent weeks to remain Matthew Stafford's favorite target in a tight victory. Fellow starter Puka Nacua was ejected from Sunday's tilt in the first half, but both receivers figure to be available for a Monday Night Football matchup against Miami in Week 10.
Oct 25, 2024
Five catches in return
Kupp (ankle) brought in five of eight targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was second to fellow returnee Puka Nacua (knee) across the board in his receiving line, but the former was the only one of the two to find the end zone. Kupp recorded a seven-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter, the second score of his injury-shortened campaign. Provided trade rumors that have been circulating about Kupp prove inaccurate, the veteran wideout should once again be in for a key role during a Week 9 road matchup against the division-rival Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Oct 23, 2024
No injury designation for TNF
Kupp (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against Minnesota, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not exactly a surprise given that the Rams listed Kupp as a full practice participant after holding walk-throughs Monday and Tuesday. He maintained the designation for Wednesday's actual practice and now has clearance to play for the first time since Week 2. Fellow Rams wideout Puka Nacua (knee) is listed as questionable, while rookie receiver Jordan Whittington (shoulder) is ruled out.
Oct 21, 2024
Estimated as full practice participant
Kupp (ankle) was listed as a full participant on Monday's practice estimate, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp is thus on pace to play Thursday night against the Vikings, with Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site having previously relayed Monday that coach Sean McVay noted that the wideout's workload for the contest is "to be determined." Look for added context on that front to arrive in the next couple of days, but Kupp's looming return the lineup should provide a huge boost to a pass-catching corps that is still without Puka Nacua (knee).
Oct 21, 2024
Workload for Thursday TBD
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that the workload Kupp (ankle) will handle during Thursday's game against the Vikings is ""to be determined," Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McVay said he's "definitely excited to have [Kupp] back" from his four-game absence, but it sounds like the veteran wideout may be operating on some amount of a snap count Thursday. Coming out of Los Angeles' bye, Kupp managed three consecutive limited practices before being ruled out for Week 7. Even if not yet ready to command a full assortment of reps, Kupp's return to the field will provide a significant boost to a wide receiver corps also housing Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith. Puka Nacua (knee) has yet to be designated for a return to practice from IR.
Oct 20, 2024
Expected to play Thursday
Coach Sean McVay said after Sunday's 20-15 win over the Raiders that he expects Kupp (ankle) to play Thursday against the Vikings, Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp logged three consecutive limited practices leading up to Sunday's win but was ultimately ruled out after being listed as questionable Friday. The team was evidently pleased with what it saw from Kupp in practice, as the star receiver's expected to see his first action since Week 2 when the Rams return to action Thursday against the Vikings. Kupp's status leading up to the game will still be worth tracking, though the Rams may hold walk-throughs rather than full practices on a short week.
Oct 20, 2024
Sitting out another contest
Kupp (ankle) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Raiders, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has been sidelined since the first half of a Week 2 loss at Arizona due to a left high-ankle sprain. He's missed three games in the meantime, but following the Rams' Week 6 bye, he was able to log three consecutive limited sessions and potentially set himself up for a return to action. Having said that, Kupp's questionable tag came with a grain of salt, as coach Sean McVay was tepid regarding the wide receiver's status all week, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com. Adam Schefter of ESPN then reported earlier Sunday that Kupp wasn't likely to play, and after a pregame warmup, he'll sit out another contest. Kupp's next chance to suit up is Thursday against the Vikings, while Jordan Whittington (shoulder), Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith will man L.A.'s receiving corps Week 7.
Oct 20, 2024
Trending toward sitting Sunday
Kupp (ankle) remains listed as questionable but appears unlikely to play Sunday versus the Raiders, sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
Kupp missed the Rams' final three games before the team's Week 6 bye with a left high-ankle sprain, but he took his first meaningful steps forward in his recovery from the injury by returning to practice this week as a limited participant. Though head coach Sean McVay said coming out of Friday's session that Kupp still had a chance to play Sunday, the Rams are seemingly leaning toward holding the wideout out for one more contest. According to Schefter, Kupp is scheduled to go through a pregame warmup before the Rams make any decisions on his status, but for the time being, the expectation is that he'll be included on the team's inactive list ahead of the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 18, 2024
Possible game-time decision
Kupp (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Raiders and may come down to a game-time decision, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp last played Week 2 and returned to practice this week coming out of a bye. The Rams have two games coming up in a five-day stretch, hosting the Vikings on Thursday after Sunday's matchup with the Raiders. Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Kupp "had a good week" and "there's a possibility" he'll play Sunday, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com.
Oct 17, 2024
Stays limited at practice
Kupp (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
During the open portion of Thursday's session, Kupp seemed to be mimicking his activity level from one day prior, which has been confirmed on the Rams' second Week 7 injury report. He's seeking to return to action for the first time since Week 2, when he initially suffered a left high-ankle sprain. Coach Sean McVay told Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com on Wednesday that Kupp was "trending in the right direction, but we'll see exactly what that means as the week progresses." Ultimately, Friday's report will unveil how much of a chance Kupp has to suit up again Sunday against the Raiders.
Oct 16, 2024
Limited in return to practice
Kupp (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to Wednesday's session, coach Sean McVay revealed that Kupp would take part in individual work but not team drills in his first visible on-field work since he suffered a left high-ankle sprain Week 2, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. At the same time, McVay told Barshop that Kupp is "trending in the right direction, but we'll see exactly what that means as the week progresses." Kupp then looked crisp running routes and hauling in passes Wednesday, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. Kupp will need to get through the week unscathed in order to have a chance to return to action Sunday versus the Raiders, but he at least appears to be in a good spot.
Oct 16, 2024
Individual work on tap Wednesday
Coach Sean McVay said Kupp (ankle) will participate in individual drills but not team work during Wednesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Translating for McVay, Kupp likely will go down as limited in his first practice since he sustained a left high-ankle sprain Week 2 against the Cardinals. On Monday, McVay was wishy washy about Kupp's potential to return to action Week 7, telling Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, "There is a possibility he could be ready this week. There's also a possibility that he might not be ready." At the very least, logging on-field work Wednesday is a decent sign for Kupp, but how he feels after the session may be the more telling sign for his availability, or lack thereof, Sunday versus the Raiders.
Oct 14, 2024
Working with trainers Monday
Kupp (ankle) has a workout scheduled with trainers Monday, but his status for Sunday's game against the Raiders has yet to be determined, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has been sidelined since he injured his ankle in Week 2 against the Cardinals. There's a chance that the wide receiver will be cleared to return in Week 7, which is more than can be said for fellow Rams wideout Puka Nacua (knee). "There is a possibility he could be ready this week," McVay said of Kupp on Monday, per Klein. "There's also a possibility that he might not be ready." More clarity on Kupp's status will emerge when the Rams resume practicing as a team Wednesday.
Oct 7, 2024
Week 7 status TBD
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that a Week 7 return for Kupp (ankle) "would be an ideal target," but added that was an "optimistic target date" and "by no means is that guaranteed," Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Rodrigue, McVay declined to say whether Kupp will return to practice after the Rams' Week 6 bye, so at this stage the wideout's Week 7 status remains cloudy. Kupp suffered a left ankle sprain in the Rams' Sept. 15 loss to the Cardinals, and hasn't practiced since then.
Oct 6, 2024
Targeting Week 7 return
Kupp (ankle) will remain out for Sunday's game against the Packers, but the Rams are hopeful that the wide receiver will be ready to return to the lineup following their Week 6 bye, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Since suffering a left high-ankle sprain in the Rams' Sept. 15 loss to the Cardinals, Kupp hasn't practiced in any capacity and is set to miss a third consecutive game Sunday. The Rams are apparently optimistic that Kupp will be able to resume on-field work coming out of the bye week, however, and if he experiences no setbacks during Week 7 prep, the expectation is that he'll suit up for the team's Oct. 20 game against the Raiders. With Kupp and Puka Nacua (knee) both out of the lineup, the Rams have handed more opportunities to Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson, but no members of the group have emerged as a consistent No. 1 target for quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Sep 30, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Kupp (ankle) won't play Sunday against the Packers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With the Rams on bye Week 6, Kupp's next chance to see game action will arrive Oct. 20 against the Raiders. In the continued absence of both Kupp and Puka Nacua (knee, IR), Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson (groin) are slated to lead the Rams WR corps versus Green Bay this weekend.
Sep 29, 2024
Will Miss At Least Two More Games
Kupp (ankle) is expected to miss at least the Rams' Week 5 game against the Packers, Fox's Jay Glazer reported on Fox NFL Sunday.
ANALYSIS
This falls in line with earlier reports that suggested next week would be difficult for Kupp to play. The Rams are on bye in Week 6, so it's a logical decision not to rush him back. Meanwhile, teammate Puka Nacua isn't expected to return until at least Week 8.
Sep 25, 2024
Sheds cast on ankle
Kupp (ankle) is working with the strength and conditioning staff to the side at Wednesday's practice and is no longer wearing a cast, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp, who has already been ruled out for Week 4, is working to the side at Wednesday's practice alongside Puka Nacua (knee), who remains on IR. It appears that the veteran wide receiver is making progress in his recovery, though with Los Angeles scheduled for a Week 6 bye, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kupp ultimately also miss the team's Week 5 matchup against the Packers. Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson and Jordan Whittington appear in line to lead the Rams' wide receiver corps Sunday on the road against Chicago.
Sep 23, 2024
Won't play against Chicago
Coach Sean McVay noted Monday that Kupp (ankle) will not be available for Sunday's game against the Bears, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site and Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com report.
ANALYSIS
Though Kupp has avoided a stint on IR, he'll miss at least one more contest due to the ankle injury he sustained during Week 2 action. It remains to be seen if there's any chance that Kupp could be available in Week 5 versus the Packers, but it's worth noting that the Rams have a Week 6 bye before their Oct. 20 contest against the Raiders. With Puka Nacua (knee) on IR, the team's top healthy options at WR are currently Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson and Jordan Whittington.
Sep 20, 2024
Ruled out
Kupp (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Francisco, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
It was only a matter of time, as the conversation surrounding Kupp has been more about injured reserve than his Week 3 availability. The Rams can only bring eight players back from IR all season and have six or seven return candidates on the list already, so they may keep Kupp on the active roster even if he's expected to miss four or more games. The team hasn't specifically commented on that aspect, but coach Sean McVay did say Monday that Kupp is likely out for an "extended period of time."
Sep 18, 2024
May not go on injured reserve
Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that the Rams aren't sure whether they'll place Kupp (ankle) on injured reserve, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was knocked out of this past Sunday's loss at Arizona with a sprained ankle that McVay relayed Monday was expected to sideline him for "an extended period of time," per Adam Schefter of ESPN. McVay also noted Wednesday that Kupp's injury isn't season-ending and won't require surgery, and the Rams have to consider their allotment of designated to return from IR slots, of which each team has eight to use in a given campaign. L.A. currently has 11 players on IR, two of which have been designated for return already, so there's a chance Kupp isn't placed on the reserve list, even if he ends up missing more than four contests. With Puka Nacua (knee) out for the foreseeable future, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell are the healthy wide receivers on the Rams' active roster.
Sep 16, 2024
Slated to miss time
Coach Sean McVay noted Monday that Kupp (ankle) is expected to be out for "an extended period of time" and could land on injured reserve, Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network report.
ANALYSIS
Kupp injured his left ankle during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals and is now poised to miss some time. With Puka Nacua (knee) already on IR, the Rams' top healthy WR options are currently Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington.
Sep 15, 2024
Sports walking boot after loss
Kupp (ankle) left the locker room in a walking boot after Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Cardinals, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp hurt his ankle late in the first half and was ruled out at halftime. The star wide receiver's return timeline has yet to be established, but Kupp certainly seems to be in danger of sitting out Week 3 against the 49ers for a Rams team that's off to a 0-2 start and already missing wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee).
Sep 15, 2024
Exits with ankle issue
Kupp suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game at Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Kupp needed assistance to get to the locker room while walking with a noticeable limp just before halftime and didn't rejoin his teammates on the sideline after the intermission. The Rams deemed him doubtful to return, so he seems destined to end Week 2 with four catches (on six targets) for 37 yards. With Puka Nacua (knee) on injured reserve, the Rams' existing receiving corps is perilously thin, as Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington are the remaining healthy options for Week 2.
Sep 11, 2024
Locked in as No. 1 receiver
Kupp's teammate Puka Nacua (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
With Nacua officially out for the next four games, Kupp becomes an obvious favorite to lead the NFL in targets Weeks 2-5. The 31-year-old was the only player with more than 12 targets during the opening week of the season, catching 14 of 21 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown (and adding two carries for 10 yards). The biggest remaining question in terms of Kupp's fantasy value is whether he's able to stay healthy while handling such massive workloads, after lower-body injuries had a major impact on his 2022 and 2023 campaigns. Either way, he should stay busy this Sunday at Arizona, facing a defense that was one of the league's worst last year and then gave up four total TDs to Bills QB Josh Allen in Week 1.
Sep 9, 2024
Goes off in season opener
Kupp hauled in 14 of his game-high 21 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Lions. He added two carries for 10 yards.
ANALYSIS
Kupp popped off with a monster receiving line to begin the fantasy season after beginning last year on the PUP list due to injury. Unfortunately for the Rams, his massive target total came at the expense of fellow star wideout Puka Nacua (knee), who may have suffered a serious injury of his own in Sunday's nationally televised loss to Detroit. Kupp was already poised to bounce back following injury-plagued campaigns in 2022 and 2023, but he may be asked to do even more than expected if Nacua is forced to miss time after being carted off of the field Sunday. Kupp and the Rams will look to shake off this competitive loss in advance of next Sunday's tilt against Arizona.
Aug 24, 2024
Ready for Week 1
Kupp (coach's decision) was held out of all the Rams' preseason contests this season.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay's gameplan to rest his key players and hide his offensive gameplan allowed Kupp to get some extra rest after two separate lower-body injuries caused the superstar to miss 12 games over the last two years. 2023 Rookie of the Year Puka Nacua (knee) emerged in the veteran's absence, and both players are lined up to start a regular season across from each other for the first time. McVay mentioned earlier in the offseason that Kupp was still limited by the aforementioned leg injuries last season when he provided a 7/59/5 receiving line across 12 games. The 31-year-old is only two years removed from his memorable Super Bowl MVP campaign, so a bounce back could be in store for Kupp's suitors if McVay's words hold water this year.
Aug 16, 2024
Won't play in preseason game
The Rams plan to rest Kupp and other key players for Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams held nearly half their roster out of the preseason opener against Dallas, including a lot of their more highly regarded backups, and coach Sean McVay said the list of rested players could be even longer for the team's second exhibition. Kupp has been healthy throughout spring practices and training camp, unlike last year when he had to rehab from a major ankle injury and then dealt with a hamstring pull for much of the summer and September.
Jun 6, 2024
Back at full strength
Coach Sean McVay suggested Tuesday that Kupp was never truly healthy last season but is now back at full strength, Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
McVay compared Kupp's 2023 to QB Matthew Stafford's 2022, with the implication being that both players not only missed games but also played through injuries when they were active. Kupp has told reporters he's 100 percent healthy for the offseason program, unlike in recent years at the same juncture. Last year, he was coming back from season-ending ankle surgery in 2022 and then ended up suffering a summer hamstring injury that cost him the first four games of 2023. Kupp didn't lose any games to injuries thereafter, but he did make an early exit from the team's Week 11 contest and ultimately averaged his least receiving yards per game (61.4) since his rookie year. While a rebound could be coming, Kupp is on the cusp of his 31st birthday and now has to share an offense with 2023 rookie sensation Puka Nacua. It's thus unclear if Kupp will regain his peak form and target volume, though just one of those two things happening would probably be enough to make him a good fantasy pick.
Jan 14, 2024
Quiet in playoff loss
Kupp caught five of nine targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 24-23 wild-card round loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Kupp made a key six-yard catch to convert a fourth-and-5 in the second quarter, which was immediately followed by a 38-yard Tutu Atwell touchdown catch on the next play. Outside of that contribution, Kupp was surprisingly quiet in the playoff exit while Puka Nacua racked up 181 yards and a touchdown. Kupp will be 31 years old next season and looks like he's ready to cede the No. 1 receiver role to Nacua in 2024, but the NFL's leading receiver in 2021 should still have plenty of fantasy utility considering Kupp posted four 100-yard performances in 12 regular-season games en route to 59 catches for 737 yards and five touchdowns.
Jan 7, 2024
Officially inactive for Week 18
Kupp (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay had already revealed at the beginning of Week 18 prep that Kupp would be held out for rest purposes in the regular-season finale, but the Rams still opted to list the receiver as doubtful on their final injury report. As anticipated, Kupp is inactive for the contest, leaving Puka Nacua, Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Ben Skowronek, Tyler Johnson and Austin Trammell as the team's available receivers for Sunday's game. Kupp will return to action in the wild-card round, when the Rams play a road game against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
Jan 3, 2024
Not playing in Week 18
Coach Sean McVay said Kupp won't play Sunday at San Francisco, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Kupp, quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams are among the healthy skill-position players for the Rams that won't see action Week 18. Kupp thus will finish his seventh season as a pro with 59 catches (on 95 targets) for 737 yards and five touchdowns in 12 contests. His next game action will occur in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
Dec 31, 2023
Scores TD on otherwise quiet day
Kupp caught four of six targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Kupp's five-yard touchdown catch with 1:44 remaining in the first half gave the Rams a 14-7 lead, and Los Angeles stayed ahead the rest of the way while turning away a two-point conversion attempt and field-goal attempt in the final 3:27. His fifth touchdown of the season helped salvage an otherwise quiet game from Kupp, who was held to fewer than 30 yards for the fifth time in 2023 while Puka Nacua racked up a team-high 118 receiving yards. Nacua's emergence has lowered Kupp's floor, but both wideouts have generally remained productive heading into a Week 18 matchup with the 49ers. San Francisco has already clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC, while LA could clinch a playoff berth if things break right during the rest of Week 17.
Dec 22, 2023
Inefficient with 12 targets
Kupp brought in six of 12 targets for 52 yards and rushed once for minus-3 yards in the Rams' 30-22 win over the Saints on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kupp led the Rams in targets and tied for second in receptions on a night when Matthew Stafford connected with only four targets overall. The veteran was more inefficient than usual with his opportunities, and his night was particularly a disappointment in light of the fact Kupp was coming off back-to-back 100-yard performances. Nevertheless, the 2017 third-round pick now has at least six grabs in four straight games going into a Week 17 road matchup against the Giants on New Year's Eve.
Dec 17, 2023
Another 100-yard performance
Kupp recorded eight receptions on eight targets for 111 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was limited to short gains for much of the first half, as he entered the locker room with only 38 yards. He quickly changed that, however, as he went completely uncovered on the second play of the second half and recorded a 62-yard touchdown. That propelled Kupp to his second consecutive 100-yard performance. Despite splitting targets fairly evenly with Puka Nacua, Kupp looks poised to end the season in strong form.
Dec 10, 2023
Tallies 115 yards
Kupp recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-31 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Kupp recorded his first 100-yard game since Week 6 and also reached double-digit targets for the first time since Week 8. He managed three receptions of at least 20 yards, the longest of which went for a 34-yard gain. Kupp also scored a six-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, his third trip to the end zone on the campaign. While both Kupp and the Rams' offense have been inconsistent this season, he should be in a good spot to continue his production in a Week 15 matchup against the subpar Commanders' defense.
Dec 4, 2023
Grabs TD against Cleveland
Kupp caught six of eight targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-19 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout salvaged his day with a three-yard TD strike from Matthew Stafford late in the fourth quarter, as the Rams broke open what had been a close game to that point. Kupp hasn't reached 50 receiving yards in a game since Week 6, which was also the last time he'd gotten into the end zone, and the injuries the 30-year-old has battled the last couple years seem to have taken their toll. He'll have a hard time breaking out in Week 14 against the Ravens.
Nov 26, 2023
Subdued day in Week 12 win
Kupp brought in three of five targets for 18 yards in the Rams' 37-14 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was able to come into the day free of an injury designation after overcoming his Week 11 ankle sprain, and although he appeared to be dinged up briefly early in Sunday's contest, he returned and handled a normal workload. However, the majority of the production through the air came via the unlikely duo of Kyren Williams and Tyler Higbee, who accounted for all four of Matthew Stafford's touchdown tosses. Kupp's numbers thus far have been underwhelming, but he'll draw an intriguing home matchup in Week 13 against a Browns defense that's been much more generous against the pass on the road.
Nov 24, 2023
Avoids Week 12 injury designation
Kupp (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cardinals after he was a full participant in Friday's practice, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay said earlier Friday that Kupp was on track to suit up this weekend, but it wasn't known until after the Rams concluded their final practice of the week whether or not the wideout would carry a designation into Sunday. Evidently, Kupp assuaged any concerns about the health of his right ankle during the practice session, and he should head into the Week 12 game without any restrictions. In the five full contests he's played this season -- Kupp left early in the Week 11 win over the Seahawks and didn't return due to the lateral ankle sprain -- the 30-year-old receiver has produced a 23-364-1 receiving line on 45 targets.

Slated to play Sunday
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Friday that Kupp (ankle) will be available for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Since the Rams have yet to complete their final Week 12 practice Friday, it's not yet clear if Kupp will be listed as questionable heading into Sunday, or if he'll avoid a designation. Either way, McVay's comments indicate that Kupp will be ready to go come Sunday, when the wideout will return to action after exiting early in the Rams' Week 11 win over the Seahawks with a right low-ankle sprain. Though Kupp may be operating at somewhere less than 100 percent health against Arizona, his track record of being a high-volume target for quarterback Matthew Stafford should make fantasy managers comfortable enough with keeping the 30-year-old receiver in fantasy lineups.
Nov 23, 2023
Gets back to limited Thursday
Kupp (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp suffered a low right-ankle sprain this past Sunday versus the Seahawks, and he didn't log any on-field work to kick off Week 12 prep. His return to drills Thursday may have been a test to see how his ankle holds up, meaning his listing on Friday's practice report should be telling for his availability ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona. Meanwhile, fellow wide receiver Puka Nacua (shoulder) followed up Wednesday's capped session with all activity one day later, so it appears the Rams should have at least one of their top two wide receivers for Week 12 action.
Nov 23, 2023
In line to practice Thursday
Kupp (ankle) is slated to practice Thursday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp didn't return to this past Sunday's win against the Seahawks after suffering what eventually diagnosed as a low right-ankle sprain in the second quarter. He was unable to practice Wednesday, so his expected return to the field one day later seemingly is a good sign as the Rams make their way through Week 12 prep. Thursday's injury report will reveal Kupp's activity level.
Nov 22, 2023
Sitting out first Week 12 practice
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Kupp (ankle) won't participate in Wednesday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Kupp is considered day-to-day with what has been reported as a right low-ankle sprain, McVay said Monday that he's hopeful the veteran wideout won't miss any game action, according to Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports. With an absence from practice Wednesday, Kupp isn't starting Week 12 prep off on the right foot, but he'll have two more chances to potentially log some on-field activity and put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Cardinals. Before tweaking his ankle in this past Sunday's win over the Seahawks, Kupp missed the Rams' first four games of the season with a hamstring injury.
Nov 20, 2023
Has chance to miss no game action
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Kupp (ankle) has a chance to play in Sunday's game at Arizona, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp departed in the second quarter of this past Sunday's win against the Seahawks and eventually was diagnosed with a low right-ankle sprain. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier Monday that Kupp was considered day-to-day, wording that was mimicked by McVay. There's a high likelihood that Kupp will operate with practice restrictions this week, with his listing on Friday's injury report telling for his potential to suit up Week 12.
Nov 20, 2023
Considered day-to-day
Kupp (ankle) is considered day-to-day, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has a history of ankle issues, but this has to be considered good news in the grand scheme of things. He was injured early in the Week 11 win over the Seahawks and was unable to return despite being back on the sideline and testing it out. It's unclear if Kupp will be able to play Sunday against the Cardinals.
Nov 20, 2023
Nursing low-ankle sprain
Kupp (ankle) suffered a low-ankle sprain during Sunday's 17-16 win over the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp reportedly tried to re-enter Sunday's contest after initially injuring his ankle, and the fact that he didn't suffer a high-ankle sprain could mean he will avoid a long-term recovery timetable. The injury does, however, make the veteran wideout's chances of playing Week 12 versus the Cardinals murky at best. Kupp has now gone four consecutive games without scoring or surpassing 50 receiving yards. If he's forced to miss any time, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell will operate as the Rams' top wide receivers.
Nov 19, 2023
Ruled out of Sunday's game
Kupp (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game versus the Seahawks, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp appeared to be gimpy on the sideline before making his way to the locker room in the second quarter. Eventually, an ankle injury was revealed to be the culprit, and he'll end Week 11 with just one catch (on one target) for 11 yards. In Kupp's stead, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell will be the Rams' top options at wide receiver.
Nov 19, 2023
Injures ankle Sunday
Kupp headed to the locker room during the first half of Sunday's game against the Seahawks due to an ankle injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit from the game, Kupp caught his only target for 11 yards. In his absence, look for Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell to see added pass-catching opportunities for the Rams.
Nov 5, 2023
Quiet in defeat
Kupp caught two of seven targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 20-3 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp struggled to make his usual impact with backup Brett Rypien under center and managing just 130 passing yards. However, with now three straight games with under 50 receiving yards, Kupp's performance level has hit a lull. He'll strive to bounce back once the Rams return from their bye week, which could coincide with Matthew Stafford (thumb) re-entering the lineup.
Oct 29, 2023
Slowed again
Kupp recorded four receptions on 10 targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 43-20 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The Rams' offense was held in check throughout the game, as Darrell Henderson was the team's leading receiver with 54 yards. Meanwhile, Kupp has combined to record just six receptions for 50 yards across his last two games. Particularly concerning for his outlook moving forward is that Matthew Stafford suffered a thumb injury in the loss, leaving Brett Rypien as the potential starter for a Week 9 matchup at Green Bay.
Oct 22, 2023
Held in check
Kupp recorded two receptions on seven targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The Steelers made a clear effort to neutralize Kupp, and as a result, the Rams pivoted Puka Nacua as their most-targeted receiver. Kupp's most notable contributions were a 24-yard catch early in the second quarter as well as a reception to convert a two-point attempt following a score immediately after halftime. This was his first underwhelming performance since returning from a hamstring injury, and he'll look to bounce back in a Week 8 matchup against the Cowboys.
Oct 15, 2023
Breaks century mark again
Kupp secured seven of nine targets for 148 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 26-9 victory over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
For the second straight contest since returning from a hamstring injury, Kupp led the Rams in targets, receptions and receiving yardage, and unlike last week against the Eagles, no one else came close to touching the former All-Pro's gaudy stat line as the rest of the team combined only managed eight catches for 78 yards. Kupp also brought in Matthew Stafford's only touchdown pass of the game, a 14-yard lob that marked Kupp's first touchdown reception since Week 9 against Tampa Bay in 2022. In two games since returning, Kupp has a 15-266-1 receiving line and has clearly returned to being the focal point of the offense for the Rams. He'll look to keep the good times rolling against a well-rested Steelers defense in Week 7.
Oct 8, 2023
Vintage volume in return
Kupp secured eight of 12 targets for 118 yards during Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Any fleeting concerns about the former All-Pro wideout were washed away in a hurry on the Rams' opening drive, as Kupp was peppered with six targets that he converted into five catches for 56 yards. The veteran led the team in targets, receptions and yards and also had the Rams' longest play on the day, a 39-yard catch late in the second quarter that led to a Puka Nacua touchdown. The rookie sensation had a commendable stat line of his own (7-71-1 on 11 targets) and Matthew Stafford seemed right at home feeding the talented duo with opportunities all day long, a sign that there's enough volume in the passing attack for both Kupp and Nacua to feast. Kupp has a tantalizing matchup in store in Week 6 against a Cardinals defense that just allowed a monster 15-192-3 line to Ja'Marr Chase.
Oct 8, 2023
Should have no limitations
Kupp will not have any limitations while making his season debut Sunday versus the Eagles, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp, who came off IR on Saturday and does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's contest, closed the week as a full participant in practice after initially being limited Wednesday. The All-Pro receiver will be set to rejoin a new-look Rams offense that was led by emergent duo Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell through the first four weeks of the year, meaning it might not be necessary for him to operate as quite the dominant target hog of seasons past. Nonetheless, of course, news that Kupp will lack any limitations in his return from injury provides confidence that he'll hit the ground running as an elite fantasy contributor, even amid new circumstances on offense.
Oct 7, 2023
Set to play Sunday
Kupp (hamstring) has been activated off injured reserve Saturday and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The All-Pro receiver is thus set to take the field with a new-look Rams offense that has generated plenty of potent plays with previously unheralded rookie, Puka Nacua, and 2021 second-round pick, Tutu Atwell. Expect Kupp to be a featured target, but perhaps not to the level of past seasons given the emergence of the aforementioned duo.
Oct 6, 2023
Slated to play Sunday, per McVay
Coach Sean McVay relayed Friday that Kupp (hamstring) is in line to make his season debut Sunday against the Eagles, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Backing up a report from Dianna Russini of The Athletic earlier Friday, Kupp should be available to the Rams after spending the first four games of the season on injured reserve due to a lingering hamstring injury. Kupp had a cap on his practice reps Wednesday, but the team listed him as a full participant Thursday, indicating he may not have many limitations Sunday, assuming he's out there. In order for him to be available to play this weekend, L.A. must activate him from IR by Saturday afternoon, and then his status for Week 5 won't become official until 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 6, 2023
Expected to play Sunday
The Rams expect Kupp (hamstring) to make his season debut Sunday versus Philadelphia, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp, who was a full participant in practice Thursday, still resides on IR for the time being but looks to be trending toward an official return to Los Angeles' active roster in time for Sunday's matchup, barring any setbacks. The veteran wideout has been dealing with a hamstring issue that initially flared up back in training camp, and led to his being placed on IR prior to Week 1 after a visit with a specialist. Friday's practice session will be telling as to Kupp's potential workload for Week 5, and will also provide him with an official game-designation heading into the weekend.
Oct 5, 2023
Full practice Thursday
Kupp (hamstring) logged a full practice Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp currently resides on injured reserve due to the balky hamstring that has affected him since early on in training camp, but after the Rams designated him to return Wednesday, he followed up a capped session to start Week 5 prep with all on-field work one day later. His listing on Friday's injury report thus will be of keen interest to see if he heads into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Still, L.A. will need to activate him from IR by Saturday afternoon in order for the wide receiver to make his season debut.
Oct 4, 2023
Officially limited Wednesday
Kupp (hamstring) officially was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams designated Kupp for return from injured reserve Wednesday, opening a 21-day in which to evaluate the wide receiver and clear him for game action. He dealt with a hamstring injury in training camp that flared up again following joint practices with the Broncos in mid-August. Thereafter, he visited a specialist in Minnesota before the team placed him on IR just before Week 1. Upon Kupp's return to the field, coach Sean McVay told Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic before Wednesday's session that the wide receiver "feels good," and L.A. will increase his workload as the week goes on. Kupp thus will have two more opportunities to put himself in a position to come off injured reserve before Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Oct 4, 2023
Set to return to practice
Kupp (hamstring) has been designated to return to practice by the Rams.
ANALYSIS
With that, a 21-day window in which the Rams can move Kupp from IR back to the active roster has opened. Per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register, Kupp is in line to practice Wednesday, with Sarah Barshop of ESPN having previously reported that the Rams hope the wideout will be available this Sunday against the Eagles. At this stage that's not a lock, but added context on that front should arrive once the team is able to evaluate Kupp at practice this week.
Sep 29, 2023
Will practice next week
Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Kupp (hamstring) will resume practicing next week, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The return to practice will open a 21-day window in which the Rams can move Kupp back to the active roster before he reverts to injured reserve for the remainder of the season. He won't be listed on official injury reports until he's on the roster, but McVay did mention Wednesday that he hoped to get Kupp back on the field when first eligible Week 5 against the Eagles.
Sep 27, 2023
Has a shot at Week 5
Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that he's still hoping Kupp (hamstring) can play Week 5 against the Eagles, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McVay made similar comments a couple weeks earlier indicating that Kupp might return from injured reserve when first eligible. The coach hasn't gone into rehab or timeline specifics, merely noting Wednesday that Kupp was "ramping up his workload" and "progressing." The star wide receiver's eventual return will have even greater fantasy reverberations than anyone would've guessed a month ago, as fellow Rams WRs Puka Nacu and Tutu Atwell have combined for 68 targets and 584 receiving yards through three games in Kupp's absence. Both young receivers will see their target shares decline once Kupp returns, but to what extent isn't clear, nor is it clear if improved receiving depth in Los Angeles will prevent the 30-year-old from returning to his 11-target-per-game pace from 2021 and 2022.
Sep 15, 2023
Hoping for Week 5 return
Coach Sean McVay said Friday that he hopes Kupp (hamstring) will be ready to play Week 5 against Philadelphia, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the earliest possible date for a return after Kupp was placed on injured reserve ahead of the Rams' Week 1 victory in Seattle. McVay didn't want to discuss a specific timeline but did make it clear the Rams have at least some hope Kupp will be ready when first ineligible.
Sep 9, 2023
Placed on injured reserve
Kupp (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay essentially confirmed Kupp would move to injured reserve earlier this week when he refrained from suggesting a timetable for return. The star wideout aggravated a preseason hamstring injury last week and won't be eligible to return until Week 5 at the earliest. Expect some combination of Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua and Tyler Higbee to assume more receiving opportunities in Kupp's absence.
Sep 8, 2023
IR stint possible, per McVay
Coach Sean McVay said Friday that there's a chance Kupp (hamstring) could be placed on injured reserve, Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The timing of the transaction will be key for any timetable for Kupp's potential return to action. If the Rams make the move Friday or Saturday, he'll need to be sidelined for at least the first four games of the campaign. Beyond Week 1, the same four-game requirement to return applies. In any case, it appears Kupp is in danger of missing time beyond Sunday's game at Seattle due to the hamstring injury that has followed him since the start of August and that he aggravated last week. As long as Kupp is out, L.A. will rely on Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua, Ben Skowronek and Demarcus Robinson at wide receiver.
Sep 6, 2023
Return timetable TBD
Coach Sean McVay acknowledged Wednesday that Kupp's timetable for a return from his hamstring injury has yet to be determined, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp is already ruled out for Sunday's season opener against the Seahawks as he continues to deal with "some soft tissue stuff," per McVay. Beyond Week 1, the star wideout's status is unclear, with McVay noting Wednesday, "as far as a timetable, it could be anywhere between if we decide to put (Kupp) on IR, or it could be a couple of weeks." As long as Kupp is sidelined, Van Jefferson is expected to step into the Rams' No. 1 WR role, with Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua also in the mix to see added snaps, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of the Athletic.
Sep 6, 2023
Not playing Week 1
Coach Sean McVay ruled out Kupp (hamstring) for Sunday's season opener at Seattle, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After aggravating his existing hamstring issue last week, McVay called Kupp "day-to-day," which is exactly how offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur described the wide receiver shortly after he suffered the initial injury on Aug. 1. With his status confirmed for Week 1, Kupp now will await word on his recent visit to a specialist in Minnesota to get a more precise prognosis. The Rams thus will roll with a WR group of Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua, Ben Skowronek and Demarcus Robinson on Sunday and potentially beyond that point.
Sep 4, 2023
Still visiting with specialist
Kupp (hamstring) is still in Minnesota to see a specialist, with coach Sean McVay saying Monday that the wideout remains day-to-day, Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The "day-to-day" phrasing seems a bit generous after McVay acknowledged Thursday that Kupp had suffered a setback with the hamstring that's been bothering him since the beginning of August. The Rams haven't ruled Kupp out of anything besides Monday's practice yet, but it's not the best sign for Week 1 that he's taking a three-day trip to Minnesota to meet with a specialist right when the Rams are starting preparations for their season opener. Any absence would leave the team with arguably the NFL's worst WR group, comprised of Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua, Ben Skowronek and Demarcus Robinson.
Sep 2, 2023
Visiting specialist after setback
Kupp (hamstring) is in Minnesota on Saturday visiting a specialist, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Sean McVay acknowledged Thursday that Kupp had suffered a recent setback, though the coach's use of the term "day-to-day" suggests he hasn't given up on the wideout playing Week 1 at Seattle. Rapoport hints at Kupp missing at least one game, which wouldn't be surprising after the hamstring injury cost him most of training camp and now has him missing practice less than two weeks before the season opener.
Aug 31, 2023
Suffers 'setback' with hamstring
Coach Sean McVay said Thursday that Kupp had a "setback" with his hamstring injury and now is considered "day-to-day," Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has been dealing with a balky hamstring since an Aug. 1 practice, which kept him out for the Rams' entire preseason slate. He was able to return to drills on Aug. 21 and had been ramping up his activity level in the meantime, but he now is tending to what McVay terms a "muscle strain." While being deemed day-to-day generally is a decent sign for Kupp's chances to suit up Sunday, Sept. 10 at Seattle, offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur used those exact words when discussing the wide receiver's health back on Aug. 4. As a result, Kupp's status will be one to monitor closely during Week 1 prep.
Aug 24, 2023
Says he's on track for Week 1
Kupp (hamstring) said Thursday that he's on track to play Week 1 against the Seahawks, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp pulled his hamstring back on Aug. 1 but returned to practice earlier this week. The Rams have no reason to push their offensive centerpiece, so Kupp has been getting plenty of rest before the games count in two weeks. Kupp is a locked-in top-five fantasy pick and should contend for the league lead in targets this season.
Aug 23, 2023
Logs another practice Wednesday
Kupp (hamstring) participated in Wednesday's joint practice with the Broncos, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp exited practice on Aug. 1 due to a hamstring injury that was expected to keep him out until joint sessions with either the Raiders or Broncos. His first chance to return to drills came and went without the wide receiver seeing the field, but he relayed during Saturday's preseason game against Las Vegas that he intended to get back in the mix versus Denver. Indeed, Kupp took part in Monday's practice and followed it up with an appearance Wednesday. Perhaps L.A. wants to see Kupp put together back-to-back days with on-field work before clearing him for all activity, but his incremental progress this week indicates he'll be healthy by a Week 1 road matchup with the Seahawks.
Aug 21, 2023
Rejoins practice
Kupp (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It remains to be seen if Kupp will be deemed a full participant, but either way, the wideout's return to the field Monday bodes well for his Week 1 availability in the absence of any setbacks. The Rams' preseason finale is Saturday against the Broncos, but we'd be surprised if Kupp saw any action in the contest.
Aug 19, 2023
Return to practice imminent
Kupp (hamstring) said during Saturday's preseason game versus the Raiders that he intends to take part in joint practices with the Broncos on Wednesday and Thursday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has missed the Rams' first two exhibitions due to a hamstring injury that he sustained early on in training camp. This follows his long recovery from November tightrope surgery to repair the high right-ankle sprain that ended his 2022 campaign. Prior to that injury, Kupp was the only bright spot in a dull L.A. offense, putting together a 75-812-6 line on 98 targets in nine games. It remains to be seen if he'll play in the team's preseason finale Saturday, Aug. 26 in Denver, but he nonetheless seems to be on pace to be active Week 1 at Seattle.
Aug 13, 2023
Unlikely to practice this week
Coach Sean McVay said Sunday that it's "more likely than not" that Kupp (hamstring) doesn't participate in joint practices with the Raiders this week, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams initially hoped that Kupp would be back on the field for the joint practices with Las Vegas this week, but McVay said that it's more realistic that the receiver returns the following week. Even if he takes an extra week to recover, Kupp will have a few weeks to practice with the team before the Rams' regular-season opener in Seattle on Sept. 10.
Aug 8, 2023
Gets work in with training staff
Kupp (hamstring) was spotted getting a workout in with the Rams strength and conditioning staff during the initial portion of Tuesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Kupp wasn't in uniform Tuesday, it's nonetheless a positive indicator that he was able to fit in some light on-field activity. Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site previously noted that coach Sean McVay indicated that he hoped to have Kupp back in the mix for joint practices with the Raiders, which are slated to take place during Week 2 of the team's preseason slate. In any case, for now Kupp is viewed as day-to-day due to the hamstring injury that he sustained Aug. 1.
Aug 4, 2023
Called day-to-day
Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur said Thursday that he considers Kupp (hamstring) day-to-day and expects him to be "alright," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
LaFleur might be a bit too optimistic here, considering a previous report from Schefter suggested the wide receiver would be out for "a few weeks" after injuring his hamstring during Tuesday's practice. It is possible the Rams are feeling a bit better about things a few days later, but it's also possible this is just coach-speak and Kupp is still expected to miss the remainder of training camp. The timing of the injury early in camp gives Kupp nearly six weeks to recover before the Rams host the Seahawks in Week 1 (Sept. 10).
Aug 2, 2023
Could miss a few weeks
Kupp underwent an MRI on his hamstring after exiting Tuesday's practice, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams are expected to be cautious with the wideout's injury, but the report suggests that Kupp could be back "for scrimmages in a few weeks," a timeline that suggests he'll have a chance to be back in advance of Week 1. While Kupp is sidelined, the likes of Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek (back), Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua and Demarcus Robinson figure to see added opportunities in practice.
Aug 2, 2023
Nursing hamstring injury
Kupp walked off the field of Tuesday's practice with medical staff due to a hamstring injury, and the team has not provided a timetable for his return, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The injury was sustained when Kupp came up short on a red zone route according to head coach Sean McVay. Look for the Rams to err on the side of caution with their star pass catcher going forward in order to ensure his health heading into the season and avoid a lingering issue. The 30-year-old entered camp as a full participant after only logging individual drills during the Rams' offseason program in mid-June while recovering from a high-ankle sprain that ended his 2022 season early.
Aug 1, 2023
Exits practice early
Kupp left Tuesday's practice early with the athletic training staff, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp apparently came up short on a red zone route before exiting. Head coach Sean McVay had not been briefed by medical staff on the situation at the time of his press conference following practice. The 30-year-old only logged individual drills at the tail end of the Rams' offseason program in mid-June while easing back into the swing of things following a right high-ankle sprain that brought his 2022 season to an early end. However, he was a full participant at the start of training camp, so it is unclear if his exit Tuesday had anything to do with his ankle or if it is a new issue.
Jul 27, 2023
Full practice participant
Kupp (ankle) was a full participant Wednesday at the first practice of Rams training camp, Jordan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The same goes for fellow wide receivers Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek, both of whom also were limited/absent for spring practices. Kupp did individual drills at June minicamp and is now doing team work without restrictions in late July, seemingly back at full health after November surgery on a season-ending ankle injury. His past production combined with the Rams' poor alternatives at wide receiver gives Kupp a good argument for the largest target share projection in the league -- perhaps in the low 30s again -- but he's unlikely to be seeing those passes as part of a top-five offense the way he did a couple years back when his record-breaking performance helped the team win a Super Bowl.
Jul 26, 2023
Attends practice Wednesday
Kupp (ankle) was present at Wednesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear if Kupp has progressed to the point in which he can handle a full workload, as he only logged individual drills at the tail end of the Rams' offseason program in mid-June. The delay in on-field work was due to his recovery from November tightrope surgery he underwent on the high right-ankle sprain that brought an early end to his 2022 season. Prior to that point, Kupp was on pace for another huge season, accumulating 75 catches (on 98 targets) for 812 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. As a result, he remains a top-end WR talent, despite the current state of the Rams offense.
Jun 14, 2023
Restructures deal
The Ram have converted $13.92 million of Kupp's salary into a signing bonus, which frees up $10.44 million against the team's salary cap in 2023, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Previously, the Rams had just $1.3 million in cap space, but the move gives the team some flexibility to potentially add some free agent depth, as well as sign its 2023 draftees. Kupp, who is bouncing back from a tightrope procedure to address the ankle injury he sustained in Week 10 last season, continues to progress and was able to participate in jog-through installations and individual drills during Tuesday's minicamp practice, per Jourdan Rodrigue of the Athletic. Though he was limited to nine games last season, Kupp still led the Rams with 812 receiving yards on 75 catches, to go along with seven total TDs.
Jun 13, 2023
Mixes into practice Tuesday
Kupp (ankle) progressed to individual drills at Tuesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has spent the entirety of the offseason in recovery mode from November tightrope surgery performed on the high right-ankle sprain that ended his 2022 campaign. While he was present at the Rams' final set of OTAs last Tuesday, this week's development marked his first notable on-field work of the offseason program. L.A. is unlikely to push it too much with its No. 1 wide receiver with the aim to have him as healthy as possible at the onset of training camp in late July.
Jun 7, 2023
Returns to team facilities
Kupp (ankle) was present Tuesday at OTAs and said he's "feeling really good" while he continues to rehab, Paolo Uggetti of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp, who underwent season-ending ankle surgery last November, wasn't present for the start of the Rams' OTAs while he and his wife awaited the birth of their third child. He made his first offseason appearance at the team's facilities Tuesday, but he worked off to the side with trainers and didn't participate in any team or individual drills. He refrained from giving a timeline for his return to full-speed drills, saying he'll leave that decision up to the team's medical staff. Kupp's absence during offseason workouts has allowed Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua, Van Jefferson and Austin Trammell to garner increased reps and opportunities.

Not present for start of OTAs
Kupp (ankle) is not taking part in the start of OTAs as he and his wife are expecting their third child soon, Skyler Carlin of TheRamsWire reports.
ANALYSIS
Fantasy managers eager to see the star wideout return to the field after undergoing tightrope surgery for a right-high ankle sprain in November will have to wait a little longer, as Kupp awaits the arrival of a new member of his family. Coach Sean McVay didn't seem concerned with the veteran's absence, noting, "I think we'll just take that a day at a time. Whenever he does come back, we'll be smart with how we kind of onboard him and get him back up to speed. He's the kind of guy, he's doing a lot of stuff, keeping himself ready to go." When Kupp does return to the field, he'll do so under the eye of a new offensive coordinator in Mike LaFleur and with little change to the wide receiving corps aside from losing Allen Robinson and gaining fifth-round draft pick Puka Nacua, setting Matthew Stafford's favorite target up for another season of massive volume.

Progressing well after surgery
Kupp told reporters during Rams' exit interviews that his rehab from ankle surgery is going well, Cameron DeSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp chose to undergo tightrope surgery to repair the right high-ankle sprain instead of hoping it would heal with just rest, a decision made considerably easier given the Rams' 3-7 record at the time of the injury. Prior to the procedure, Kupp was on pace for another huge season, with a 75-812-6 line through nine games and an additional 9-52-1 rushing line, which includes his injury-shortened Week 10 contest. Kupp was quoted during the interview as saying, "The trainers all feel good where we're at, feel like we're making good time on things," which seems like excellent news for his status for the start of the 2023 season. With quarterback Matthew Stafford (neck) and coach Sean McVay returning, Kupp should be able to return to elite form even with former offensive coordinator Liam Coen leaving to return to the college ranks at Kentucky.

Unlikely to return this season
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that he's "hard pressed" to see a scenario in which Kupp (ankle) returns from injured reserve before the end of the season, Andrew Siciliano of DirecTV's "NFL Sunday Ticket" reports.
ANALYSIS
When Kupp was placed on injured reserve in mid-November after undergoing surgery to address a right high-ankle sprain, he was given an estimated recovery timeline of 6-to-8 weeks. The short end of that timeline positioned Kupp for a potential return as soon as Week 17, but unsurprisingly, McVay isn't counting on the All-Pro receiver suiting up again this season while the injury-riddled Rams sit at 4-9 and on the cusp of being eliminated from the playoffs. Kupp will likely turn his focus toward getting healthy for OTAs, but provided quarterback Matthew Stafford (spine) is also ready to go for the start of the 2023 season, the 29-year-old receiver should once again profile as a strong first- or second-round selection in fantasy drafts.
Nov 20, 2022
Likely out 6-to-8 weeks
Kupp is expected to miss six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery Wednesday to address his right high-ankle sprain, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Schefter also notes that the Rams, currently at 3-6, would need to move toward playoff contention in order for Kupp to attempt a return this season, rather than focus his recovery on the 2023 campaign. The 29-year-old amassed a 75-812-6 receiving line on 98 targets through nine appearances, with another 52 yards and a touchdown rushing, and his absence leaves Los Angeles with a clear void at the No. 1 wideout position. Matthew Stafford, in his return from a one-game absence, will need to rely on a combination of Allen Robinson, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek and Tyler Higbee to step up versus the Saints on Sunday.
Nov 15, 2022
Needs surgery, going on IR
Rams head coach Sean McVay said that Kupp will undergo a "tightrope procedure" Wednesday to address his right high-ankle sprain and will be placed on injured reserve, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams aren't yet willing to rule out the possibility of Kupp returning Week 15 after the minimum four-game stint on IR, but with the team sitting on a 3-6 record and on the outside looking in for a playoff spot, there's a chance the star wideout's 2022 campaign is over. Even while the reigning Super Bowl champions have struggled mightily over the first half of the season, Kupp has remained productive for fantasy managers with a 75-812-6 receiving line on 98 targets to go with 52 yards and another score on the ground through the Rams' first nine games. Kupp's absence creates a major void in the L.A. passing attack, with the likes of Allen Robinson, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, Tyler Higbee and Darrell Henderson all representing candidates to absorb some of Kupp's vacated target volume.
Nov 14, 2022
Has high ankle sprain
Kupp suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's 27-17 loss to Arizona, and the prognosis "doesn't sound good," Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
There was some optimism around Kupp's injury after initial tests revealed that he avoided a fractured ankle, but further examination revealed ligament damage. While a return timetable for the star wide receiver has yet to be established, high ankle sprains typically take 4-6 weeks to recover from, and the Rams can ill afford to lose Kupp for that long considering they're on the verge of falling out of the playoff race at 3-6.
Nov 13, 2022
Avoids worst-case scenario
Kupp's expected to miss some time, but he appears to have avoided the worst-case scenario with his ankle injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp went to the locker room after getting hit low in the fourth quarter of the Week 10 loss to Arizona. Coach Sean McVay initially feared a season-ending injury, and while Kupp won't be completely out of the woods until more test results come in, he appears to be dealing with a less severe injury. A return in Week 11 against New Orleans looks unlikely at first glance, but a clearer picture of Kupp's status should emerge after further testing.
Nov 13, 2022
No update yet but McVay pessimistic
Coach Sean McVay didn't have a post-game update on Kupp's (ankle) status after Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Cardinals, but he said the injury "didn't look good, didn't sound good," Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not clear if this injury is related to the ankle injury Kupp sustained in Week 8 against the 49ers, but he limped to the locker room in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to Arizona after taking a low hit. Further tests will have to be run before an update surfaces on the star receiver's status, but McVay's somber tone regarding the injury suggests Kupp could be in danger of sitting out against the Saints in Week 11 and possibly beyond then.
Nov 13, 2022
Leaves Sunday's game
Kupp (ankle) went to the locker room early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp incurred a low hit from Arizona cornerback Marco Wilson and was seen holding his right leg after the play. After receiving medical attention, he was hobbled going to the sideline, where he was looked at by team trainers before limping to the locker room. Officially doubtful to return, Kupp likely will finish Week 10 action with three catches for minus-1 yard on five targets.
Nov 6, 2022
Gets little help in loss
Kupp caught eight of nine targets for 127 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
The All-Pro wideout accounted for an incredible 77 percent of Matthew Stafford's passing yards on a day in which no other Ram has any success at all on offense. Kupp has topped 100 receiving yards in five of eight games this season while hauling in six TD catches and adding one more on the ground, and he seems just about matchup-proof heading into a Week 10 clash with the Cardinals.
Nov 4, 2022
Good to go
Kupp (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Fellow wide receiver Van Jefferson (knee) is listed as questionable, but with coach Sean McVay saying he's optimistic Jefferson will play. Kupp's availability is far more important to the Rams offense, of course, and he'll avoid missed time after hurting his ankle deep in garbage time of the Week 8 loss to San Francisco. The Bucs haven't maintained their hot start to the season on the defensive side of the ball, but that's partially due to injuries -- something that may be soon be less of a factor with CBs Carlton Davis (hip) and Sean Murphy-Bunting (quad) listed as questionable after missing the past few weeks. Kupp was a full practice participant Friday and should see plenty of targets this Sunday.
Nov 3, 2022
Limited in return to practice
Kupp (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's session, Kupp was expected to get back on the field Thursday with a cap on his reps, which came to pass. He may continue to operate with practice limitations this week after having his right ankle rolled up near the end of this past Sunday's loss to the 49ers. Friday's injury report ultimately will reveal whether or not Kupp enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's road matchup with the Buccaneers.
Nov 3, 2022
Present at practice Thursday
Kupp (ankle) was present at the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams are taking it easy on Kupp after he hurt his right ankle in the waning minutes of a Week 8 loss to the 49ers. He didn't practice at all Wednesday, but coach Sean McVay said Kupp is expected to be a limited participant for the rest of Week 9 prep. Thursday's injury report may confirm as much.
Nov 2, 2022
Won't practice Wednesday
Kupp (ankle) will be a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
On his last touch of this past Sunday's loss to the 49ers, Kupp's right ankle bent awkwardly as he was tackled to the ground. He eventually was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, with coach Sean McVay telling Rodrigue on Monday that the wide receiver avoided structural damage but has some swelling in the affected region. Despite not practicing Wednesday, Kupp is expected to be able to play Sunday at Tampa Bay, so he's a decent bet to get back on the field Thursday and/or Friday.
Oct 31, 2022
Expected to play Sunday
Coach Sean McVay indicated Monday that he expects Kupp (ankle) to play this coming Sunday against the Buccaneers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Rodrigue, McVay indicated that Kupp has some tissue swelling in his ankle, but noted that the Rams' top receiver avoided structural damage. It's still likely that Kupp's practice participation will be impacted by the ankle issue he sustained Sunday versus the 49ers, but at this stage it looks he'll be available for Week 9 action.
Oct 31, 2022
Considered day-to-day
Kupp is expected to be day-to-day with an ankle sprain, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp picked up the ankle injury late in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but he appears to have avoided a significant issue. The superstar wideout's participation during practices ahead of Week 9 should provide further clarity on Kupp's availability, but the Rams will likely be extremely cautious with him moving forward.
Oct 30, 2022
Suffers ankle injury late
Kupp suffered an ankle injury late in Sunday's 31-14 loss to San Francisco and will undergo further testing in the coming days, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp put together a strong game (8/79/1) before rolling his ankle on his final touch in garbage time of a losing effort. Head coach Sean McVay couldn't shed light on the actual injury, but he stated that he was "kicking himself" for putting his star receiver on the field down three scores with less than two minutes remaining. Kupp said after the game that he felt he "dodged a bullet" in regards to the severity of the injury, but we will have to wait for reports from the Rams' medical staff in the coming days. The 29-year-old's fantasy managers will be holding their collective breaths for further updates heading into a matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.
Oct 16, 2022
Piles up yardage in Week 6 win
Kupp caught seven of eight targets for 80 yards and added 17 rushing yards on two carries in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
For only the second time through six games this season, Kupp failed to reach triple digits in receiving yards, but he nearly made up the difference on the ground. The All-Pro wideout is on pace for another massive campaign, with only Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson racking up more yards through the air so far, but Kupp will get a breather during the Rams' Week 7 bye.
Oct 16, 2022
Active as expected Week 6
Kupp (foot) is active for Sunday's Week 6 clash against the Panthers, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The star wideout was trending in the right direction at the end of the practice week despite a pair of limited sessions, and his active status is now confirmed. Kupp should therefore find himself in his usual voluminous role as the linchpin of the Rams air attack versus Carolina.
Oct 14, 2022
Gets injury tag but should play
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Kupp (foot) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, but the wide receiver is expected to play, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle) and All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald (foot) are also taking questionable designations into the weekend, but like Kupp, they to are expected to play despite missing practice time this week. After sitting out Wednesday's session due to the foot issue, Kupp was a limited participant Thursday, and he's expected to have his reps capped again Friday for what may be maintenance purposes more than anything. Assuming Kupp's foot isn't hurting any more than usual following Friday's practice, he should be ready to fill his usual high-volume role in the Rams' passing attack Sunday.
Oct 13, 2022
Officially limited Thursday
Kupp (foot) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After getting the day off Wednesday, Kupp was back on the field one day later with a cap on his practice reps, which comes as no surprise following coach Sean McVay saying the Rams would "be smart" with the wide receiver this week. Kupp touched on his foot injury Thursday, telling Rodrigue that he felt it spring up a few plays before his 75-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown this past Sunday against the Cowboys. Friday's practice report will unveil whether or not Kupp enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest versus the Panthers.
Oct 13, 2022
Returns to practice Thursday
Kupp (foot) was spotted at the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp didn't suit up for Wednesday's session due to a foot injury, but the DNP followed coach Sean McVay saying the Rams would "be smart" with certain key contributors and their health concerns this week. Thursday's practice report will reveal how many reps Kupp was able to handle.
Oct 12, 2022
Dealing with foot issue
Kupp didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Sean McVay told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday afternoon that the Rams will "be smart" with Kupp and a few other key contributors during Week 6 prep. Indeed, Kupp wasn't out there during the media-access portion of Wednesday's session, and now a foot issue is to blame for the absence. As a result, his status will be one to monitor as the week unfolds to ensure he isn't in danger of sitting out Sunday against the Panthers.
Oct 12, 2022
Not practicing Wednesday
Kupp (undisclosed) wasn't practicing during the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Earlier Wednesday, coach Sean McVay told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times that the Rams will "be smart" with Kupp, Tyler Higbee (undisclosed) and a few other key players this week. It's unclear what Kupp is dealing with at the moment, but Wednesday's injury report will be illuminating.
Oct 9, 2022
Tops century mark again Sunday
Kupp caught seven of 10 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
He also added four rushing yards on one carry. Kupp reached triple-digit receiving yards for the fourth time in five games while getting into the end zone for the fifth time in 2022, and the superstar wideout remains on pace for another huge season heading into a Week 6 clash with the Panthers.
Oct 3, 2022
Career-high 14 catches on MNF
Kupp caught 14 of 19 targets for 122 yards in Monday's 24-9 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
With seven catches for 58 yards in the first half, Kupp accounted for more than half of Matthew Stafford's completions and passing yards as the Rams took a 14-6 deficit into the locker room. The star receiver posted a similar stat line in the second half, even as Los Angeles' offense continued to struggle. Kupp set a new career high in catches with 14, and he's racked up double-digit catches for over 100 yards in three of four games heading into a Week 5 visit from the Cowboys.
Sep 25, 2022
Scores on ground against Cards
Kupp caught four of six targets for 44 yards and ran for a 20--yard touchdown on his only carry in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The reigning Super Bowl MVP saw his streak of regular-season games with at least 90 receiving yards end at 15, but he was able to extend his streak of games with at least one TD to nine (including last season's playoff run) thanks to his first career rushing score. Kupp hadn't seen fewer than seven targets in a game since Week 15 of 2020, and he should see higher volume again in next week's NFC West clash with the 49ers.
Sep 18, 2022
Two touchdowns, 108 yards
Kupp recorded 11 receptions on 14 targets for 108 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Kupp got off to a relatively slow start, though he added another impressive performance to his resume. He scored touchdowns from three and 10 yards away and also posted lengthier gains of 20, 19 and 12 yards. Kupp certainly appears capable of replicating his 2021 results, as he has recorded double-digit receptions, at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of the team's first two games of the new campaign.
Sep 8, 2022
Spectacular numbers in Week 1 loss
Kupp secured 13 of 15 targets for 128 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 31-10 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kupp appeared to be about the only Rams offensive player that showed up for the start of the team's title defense, with his numbers pacing the team across the board. The sixth-year pro's performance, which included a four-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter, was a trademark effort reflective of the stellar chemistry he built last season with quarterback Matthew Stafford, who only seemed to enjoy any success when targeting Kupp on Thursday night. Kupp's next opportunity to build on his individually memorable season-opening performance comes in a Week 2 home clash with the Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 18.
Aug 27, 2022
To be rested ahead of Week 1
With the Rams not planning to play key starters in their preseason finale, per Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Kupp is in line to sit out Saturday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
It's no surprise that the Rams are inclined to play it safe with their top wideout (among others) in the team's exhibition finale. Once the regular season kicks off, Kupp -- who is slated to start alongside Allen Robinson -- is in line to log plenty of passing targets from QB Matthew Stafford (elbow), on the heels of an impressive 2021 campaign in which he racked up a 145/1,947/16 stat line in 17 games.
Aug 19, 2022
Won't play Friday
Kupp and other key players won't play in Friday's preseason game against Houston, Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
Sean McVay has long been among the NFL's most cautious coaches when it comes to playing starters in the preseason. There's been some concern about QB Matthew Stafford's right elbow, but with the quarterback reportedly looking much better this week, Kupp is cemented as a top-three wide receiver on nearly all fantasy draft boards.
Jun 8, 2022
Inks extension with Los Angeles
Kupp agreed to a three-year, $80 million extension with the Rams on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old was already under contract for the next two seasons for more than $29 million, and he's now set to receive nearly $110 million from the Rams over the next five years. Kupp was the most productive wide receiver in the NFL in 2021 after catching 145 of 191 targets for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in 17 games, and he's now paid like one of the top receivers in the league.
Feb 13, 2022
MVP performance in Super Bowl
Kupp brought in eight of 10 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for seven yards during the Rams' 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. He was also named Super Bowl MVP.
ANALYSIS
Kupp delivered handsomely when it mattered most after what many felt was an MVP-worthy season, snagging a game-winning one-yard touchdown grab with 1:25 remaining. However, that memorable catch tells only part of the story for the fifth-year pro, who missed his first career opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after the 2018 season due to a torn ACL. Kupp also recorded an 11-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter to give the Rams a two-possession lead at the time, and prior to his championship-clinching score, he had a clutch seven-yard rush on fourth down and catches of eight, 22 and eight yards on that final drive, as well as a four-yard touchdown reception nullified by offsetting penalties. Kupp could have arguably had an even bigger performance had Odell Beckham, who was commanding a good bit of attention with strong early-game play, hadn't exited for good in the first half with a knee injury. The Super Bowl MVP award Kupp earned with the performance is a fitting cap on a season that also s
Feb 10, 2022
Top offensive player
Kupp was named the 2021 Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kupp led receivers in all major categories, including receptions, yards and targets. He was also remarkably consistent, as he posted no performances with fewer than 64 yards or five receptions. In contrast to past seasons, Kupp combined both superior volume with big plays, as he averaged 13.4 yards per reception and also chipped in 30 catches that went for gains of 20 or more yards. Next up, Kupp will look to add the ultimate award and help lead the Rams to a Super Bowl victory over the Bengals on Sunday.
Jan 30, 2022
Dominant effort to clinch SB berth
Kupp brought in 11 of 14 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for minus-2 yards during the Rams' 20-17 win over the 49ers in their NFC Championship Game matchup Sunday.
ANALYSIS
As he frequently did during his record-setting regular season and in the divisional-round win over the Buccaneers, Kupp dictated to an opposing defense to the tune of a dominating performance. The star wideout's afternoon did start on a sour note when a pass that partially glanced off his hands was intercepted by the 49ers' Jimmie Ward at the goal line to short-circuit the Rams' second drive. That would be about the only blemish on Kupp's performance, however, as he eventually complemented his 12th 100-yard effort since the start of the regular season with touchdown grabs of 16 and 11 yards in the second and fourth quarters, respectively. The fifth-year pro's 25- and 12-yard catches on what would be Los Angeles' game-winning drive proved a fitting cap to his stellar effort, one he'll now look to reprise in Super Bowl LVI against the Bengals on his home field Feb. 13.
Jan 23, 2022
Goes off for 183 plus TD
Kupp finished with nine receptions (11 targets) for 183 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was in prime form against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that was at full strength for the first time since Week 1. The MVP candidate got momentum going for the Rams in the first half when he took a deep pass from Matthew Stafford and then made a sharp juke to make two defenders miss en route to a long TD score. Kupp then put his signature on this playoff win when he burned the entire Bucs secondary on the final positive gain of regulation to set up kicker Matt Gay for the game-winning score. The 28-year-old did cough up a fumble that allowed Tom Brady to tie the game late, but the turnover barely puts a dent in what was a monster final fantasy line. Kupp and the Rams will now advance to the NFC Championship Game to take on the 49ers. The elite DFS option will surely weigh in as one of the most-expensive picks next weekend after he torched San Francisco's weak secondary for 118 receiving yards, one touchdown and 18 rushing yards in the final game of the regular season.
Jan 17, 2022
Scores in wild-card win
Kupp caught five of seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 34-11 wild-card win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kupp was uncharacteristically quiet in the first half, hauling in just one pass for five yards. The regular season's leader in catches, yards and touchdowns through the air got on track to begin the second half, though, scoring from seven yards to cap the Rams' first series. Kupp then showed off his run-after-the-catch ability on a couple grabs late, adding to his totals. Even though his overall output was still well below his regular-season standard, Kupp could grow in importance if Sunday's NFC divisional-round game versus the Buccaneers is more tightly contested than Monday's runaway victory.
Jan 9, 2022
Finishes reg. season on high note
Kupp corralled all seven of his targets for 118 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 18 yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 27-24 overtime loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp tied his season-low mark of seven targets that was set a week prior, but the talented wideout was still able to turn in a monster fantasy day. The 28-year-old finishes the regular season with 145 receptions, 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns, placing himself firmly in the league's MVP discussion. Kupp's recent lowered target rate (by his gaudy standards) may have been tied to the Rams locking up a playoff spot two weeks ago and not wanting to burn out its star player. That said, it would make sense to see Kupp featured heavily in the first round of the NFC Wild Card round.
Jan 2, 2022
Another big game
Kupp caught six passes for 95 yards and one touchdown on seven targets against Baltimore on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens succeeded in limiting Kupp's target volume -- his seven targets were tied with Odell Beckham behind Tyler Higbee's team-leading nine targets -- but they couldn't stop Kupp on the targets he did draw. Normally Kupp crushes both in regard to volume and efficiency, so it's something of a down game by his exceedingly high standards in this historic season for the wideout. Although Kupp (1,829 yards) finished his 16-game schedule a bit short of the single-season yardage record set by Calvin Johnson in 2012 (1,964 yards), Kupp heads into Week 18 with a chance to pursue Megatron's record as the Rams take on the 49ers.
Dec 26, 2021
Reaches pair of milestones
Kupp recorded 10 receptions on 13 targets for 109 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Kupp failed to reach the end zone for the first time in his last three games, but that didn't stop him from another big performance. As has been the case, he was peppered with targets and was able to log double-digit receptions for the fifth time in 16 contests while also surpassing 100 receptions on the season. He made good use of that opportunity by turning in big gains of 37, 19 and 11 yards to top 100 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive game while also topping 1,000 receiving yards for the campaign. Kupp should be in line for continued prolific production in a Week 17 matchup against a depleted Baltimore secondary.
Dec 21, 2021
Outstanding season continues
Kupp had nine receptions (13 targets) for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Tuesday's 20-10 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Seattle's defense had no answer for the Stafford to Kupp connection, resulting in yet another monster fantasy showing from the breakout superstar. Kupp has now posted three straight games with both 100-plus yards and a touchdown, his second such streak this season. Odell Beckham's presence (1-7-0) continued to not affect the Rams' true top offensive weapon either. Kupp will carry spectacular averages of 8.7 receptions, 116.1 yards and a touchdown per game into next Sunday's tilt against the Vikings.
Dec 17, 2021
Rams-Seahawks moved to Tuesday
Kupp and the Rams will no longer play the Seahawks on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
ANALYSIS
Due to ongoing COVID-19-related concerns within the Rams organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, Los Angeles will be able to restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. After Tuesday's game, the Rams will face a quick turnaround for Week 16 with a Sunday game in Minnesota on Dec. 26.
Dec 13, 2021
Career high in win
Kupp caught 13 of 15 targets for 123 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 30-23 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kupp once again led the Rams in all major receiving categories, setting a new career high in receptions in the process. The wideout did his usual work moving the sticks in the first half, but saw teammates Odell Beckham and Van Jefferson find the end zone before he hauled in a four-yard touchdown during the third quarter. Kupp was then leaned on more heavily in the fourth, when he also made a 44-yard catch on a perfectly placed ball by quarterback Matthew Stafford. With that gain helping him top 100 yards for an eighth time this season, Kupp continued what's been a remarkably consistent and productive campaign. He'll strive to add another standout showing to his name in Week 15 versus the Seahawks.

Kupp's first appearance on the injury report all season entailed one limited practice before returning to full participation. He's seen at least nine targets in every game this year and should see plenty of looks Monday night against the Cardinals.

Dealing with toe injury
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Kupp will be limited in Thursday's walk-through practice due to a toe injury, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp will make his first appearance on the injury report all season, as he's otherwise either been a full participant in every practice or sat out for rest purposes through the first 13 weeks of the season. The fifth-year wideout didn't show any obvious sign of being hurt in the Rams' Week 13 win over the Jaguars, rolling to his seventh 100-plus-yard receiving outing in Los Angeles' 37-7 win. So long as Kupp maintains limited activity or upgrades to full participation Friday and/or Saturday, he'll likely be in little danger of missing Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Keeps rolling
Kupp caught eight passes for 129 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets against Jacksonville on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Rams passing game was a bit sluggish in the first half, but quarterback Matthew Stafford caught fire in the second half by throwing one touchdown each to Kupp, Van Jefferson and Odell Beckham in the Rams' first three drives in the second half. It's a reminder that a player of Kupp's usage level and abilities can smash for his fantasy investors even in games where the Rams offense sputters at times. Kupp goes to Arizona to face the Cardinals in Week 14 -- the one defense that managed to contain Kupp during his rampage of a 2021 season. He'll hope to fare better this time after catching just five passes for 64 yards on 13 targets in the Week 4 showdown.

Racks up catches late
Kupp recorded seven catches on 10 targets for 96 yards in Sunday's 36-28 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp recorded two receptions for 41 yards at halftime, both of which came on the team's final drive of the second quarter. He padded his stats in the second half as the Rams played from behind, and the end result was his fifth consecutive game with 90 or more receiving yards. Kupp narrowly missed a bigger day, as it appeared that he had thrown a touchdown to Van Jefferson prior to the play being overturned upon review. Though Odell Beckham got more involved in the offense Sunday, Kupp now has 18 receptions for 218 yards across two games since Beckham joined the team.

Good numbers in defeat
Kupp caught 11 of 13 targets for 122 yards in Monday night's 31-10 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp once again put up big numbers, but most his production came with the outcome of the game already decided. Nonetheless, the Rams being in catch-up mode enabled Kupp to haul in double-digit passes for the third time this season, while he surpassed 100 yards for the sixth time. Although it remains to be seen whether the loss of teammate Robert Woods (knee) will impact Kupp's sky-high stock at all, the Rams now entering their bye week will give them extra time to adjust ahead of Week 12's game versus the Packers.
Nov 7, 2021
Monster PPR performance
Kupp corralled 11 of 13 targets for 95 yards in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Kupp fell just short of extending his streak of 100-plus receiving yard games to four, but he did record his second double-digit reception day this season. The 28-year-old has arguably been the best wideout in all of football this year, totaling 74 receptions, 1,019 yards and 10 touchdowns through nine games. Kupp's fantasy managers will be delighted to see the 49ers on tap for Week 10's Monday Night Football matchup, as San Francisco's secondary has been a revolving door for opposing wideouts this season.
Oct 31, 2021
Another big game
Kupp caught seven receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown on nine targets against Houston on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kupp continues his pursuit of the WR1 title in fantasy for the 2021 season, logging his third straight game with 100 yards and a touchdown through the air. He's up to 63 receptions for 924 yards and 10 touchdowns on 90 targets through eight games -- already good for more fantasy points than he scored in 15 games in 2020. Kupp and the Rams should keep the gas pedal down in Week 9 as they take on a surging Tennessee game that figures to make for one of the highest over/under point totals of the week.
Oct 24, 2021
Yet another big game
Kupp caught 10 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets against Detroit on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
It's been clear for some time now that the change from Jared Goff to Matthew Stafford created the conditions for Kupp to break out to an entirely new level, but it's still difficult to not be more impressed with Kupp each passing week. He's in the hunt for WR1 distinction in fantasy this year, and through seven games he's up to 56 receptions for 809 yards and nine touchdowns (69.1 percent catch rate, 10.0 yards per target). The Rams face the Texans in Week 8, so the sailing could remain smooth for Kupp in his next matchup.
Oct 17, 2021
Prolific fantasy effort in win
Kupp brought in nine of 12 targets for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' 38-11 win over the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kupp easily paced the Rams' pass catchers across the board with his prolific effort, which included touchdown grabs of three and 13 yards in the second and fourth quarters, respectively. Kupp hadn't scored since Week 3 against the Buccaneers, a relatively brief but rare slump for him, and he's now recorded at least seven receptions in five of the first six games while seeing double-digit targets in every contest. Kupp's talent and level of involvement will continue keeping him in the upper echelon of the fantasy landscape in all formats going into a tantalizing Week 7 home matchup against the Lions.
Oct 8, 2021
Boosts yardage back up in win
Kupp brought in seven of 10 targets for 92 yards in the Rams' 26-17 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also returned one kickoff for 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
Position mate Robert Woods stole the headlines with his 12-150 line on 14 targets, but Kupp was an excellent complementary option for Matthew Stafford on the night. The fifth-year wideout's yardage total was second behind Woods on the Rams for the night and represented a nice boost from the season-low 64 that Kupp had compiled in the Week 4 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. Kupp will look to get back over the century mark for the third time this season when he tangles with the Giants secondary in a Week 6 road matchup a week from Sunday.
Oct 3, 2021
Can't do much with big volume
Kupp caught five of 13 targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The Cards' secondary made a point of making sure the fifth-year receiver wasn't going to beat them, and as a result Van Jefferson led Los Angeles in catches and receiving yards despite seeing less than half the targets Kupp did. Despite the lackluster numbers Sunday, Kupp still has an impressive 30 catches for 431 yards and five TDs through four games, and he'll look to get back on track in Week 5 on the road against the Seahawks.
Sep 26, 2021
Another huge performance
Kupp recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 96 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's Week 3 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp continued his exceptional start to the season. He now has five receiving touchdowns in three games, with his pair on Sunday coming from two and 10 yards away, respectively. Kupp also provided a few big plays, recording receptions of 22, 20 and 17 yards. While Kupp won't be able to maintain this touchdown pace throughout the season, he's clearly developed rapport with Matthew Stafford and has earned double-digit targets in every contest. Kupp should be for in another positive offensive game environment in Week 4 when the Rams take on the Cardinals.
Sep 19, 2021
Another prolific performance Sunday
Kupp secured nine of 11 targets for 163 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' 27-24 win over the Colts on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
On the heels of a 7-108-1 line the season-opening win over the Bears, Kupp outdid himself in only his second regular-season game working as one of Matthew Stafford's targets. The two have clearly built significant chemistry very quickly, and Sunday, Kupp's game-high reception, receiving yardage and target totals included touchdown grabs of 16 and 10 yards in the first and fourth quarter, respectively. With two stellar performances to open the season, Kupp's fantasy stock is soaring in all formats going into a Week 3 home showdown against the Buccaneers.
Sep 12, 2021
Receiving leader on SNF
Kupp hauled in seven receptions (10 targets) for 108 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-14 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Kupp dominated the targets with new quarterback Matthew Stafford under center, finishing with four more than the next highest receiving option (Tyler Higbee). The 28-year-old had a great rapport with Jared Goff in their four seasons together, so fantasy managers have to be pleased with the seamless transition to a new signal caller. The Rams did add more depth behind Kupp and fellow starter Robert Woods this past offseason, but it appears that the former still retains the highest fantasy upside heading into a Week 2 matchup with the Colts.
Sep 10, 2021
Set for usual role
Kupp is locked into a starring role in the Rams offense with Sunday's season opener against the Bears imminent, J.B. Long of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp has had months to develop a rapport with new quarterback Matthew Stafford since his trade to L.A. on Jan. 30, but the context around the Rams' skill positions has changed since the offseason program. First and foremost, running back Cam Akers tore his Achilles while getting ready for training camp, taking away a key cog of the offense. Darrell Henderson remains the top option out of the backfield, with trade acquisition Sony Michel backing him up. Meanwhile, in the receiving corps, WR Robert Woods and TE Tyler Higbee are entrenched in the starting lineup, with 2020 second-round pick Van Jefferson, veteran DeSean Jackson and 2021 second-rounder Tutu Atwell rounding out the group of wideouts. Kupp nonetheless is in store for his usual high-volume role (8.3 targets per game the past two seasons) with an upgrade under center and a less explosive running game.
Aug 31, 2020
Should be fine for Week 1
Kupp is dealing with a "muscle strain on the side of the lower part of his leg right above the foot," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
There was previous speculation that Kupp had an ankle sprain, but that report was refuted by coach Sean McVay, who relayed that the wideout had some soreness in his leg. Rapoport's report adds a bit of context to that, but more importantly notes that Kupp should be fine for the Rams' season opener.
Aug 31, 2020
Tending to sore leg
Coach Sean McVay said Kupp doesn't ave an ankle sprain but instead is dealing with leg soreness, Eric D. Williams of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After Kupp left Saturday's practice with an injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the issue was a low-ankle sprain. Kupp underwent the requisite testing, including X-rays, and a sprain has been ruled out as the issue. While he may held of practice in the short term, there doesn't seem to be much worry about his status for Week 1 versus the Cowboys.
Aug 30, 2020
Sprains ankle
Kupp is dealing with a low-ankle sprain but isn't believed to be in any danger of missing Week 1, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
There was speculation of a problem after Kupp was removed from Saturday's scrimmage, but coach Sean McVay claims the wide receiver wasn't injured. It turns out Kupp did indeed suffer an injury, just not an especially serious one. The initial report suggests he'll miss some practice time during the upcoming week before returning for Week 1 against the Cowboys.
Aug 29, 2020
Coach says he's healthy
Updating a previous report, Kupp's early exit from Saturday's practice was precautionary and he's not dealing with any injuries, per coach Sean McVay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp fans can exhale after some nervous moments, as the coach's post-practice press conference revealed that the slot receiver is healthy. Prior to exiting the practice, Kupp had been serving as the holder for the kicking competition, so the coaching staff likely decided to give him the day off rather than put him at any risk in the unfamiliar role.
Aug 29, 2020
Leaves practice early
Kupp (undisclsoed) left Saturday's practice in the first half and was not on the sidelines with his teammates to start the second half, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear what forced Kupp to exit, but hopefully his absence is just for precautionary reasons. Prior to leaving Saturday, Kupp had been >serving as the holder for the Rams' kicking competition, as punter Johnny Hekker is away from the team for the birth of his second child.
Aug 15, 2020
Entering final year of rookie deal
Kupp is entering the final season of his rookie contract and is looking to sign a long-term extension with the Rams, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
While there was a degree of inconsistency from Kupp midseason last year, he finished the campaign with a touchdown in each of the past five games to boost his stat line to an impressive 94 receptions for 1161 yards and 10 scores. Already a go-to option in the Los Angeles passing attack, the fourth-year receiver has the potential to be even more involved in the offense with Brandin Cooks now in Houston. Not only is the thorough chemistry between Kupp and quarterback Jared Goff an added bonus, Kupp has Goff's eye near the goal line with 55 red-zone targets the past three years. There's a lot to like about Kupp's fantasy stock heading into the 2020 season.
Nov 15, 2019
Free of injury designation
Kupp (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Kupp missed Friday's practice with a stomach bug, but he apparently isn't in any danger of missing the game. He'll face a tough Chicago defense after last week's zero-catch debacle in Pittsburgh.
Sep 8, 2019
Active as expected in opener
Kupp (knee) is active as expected for Sunday's Week 1 tilt versus the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Kupp will make his return to action after suffering a Week 10 ACL tear last season. The third-year wideout will look to pick up where he left off during his truncated sophomore campaign, when he compiled a 40-566-6 line across eight games before being sidelined.
Sep 4, 2019
Ready to return
Kupp (knee) wasn't listed on the Rams' initial Week 1 injury report, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp tore the ACL in his left knee Week 10 last season and underwent surgery Nov. 16. With those dates in mind, he made incredible progress with his recovery, going through individual drills in mid-May and team drills a week later before avoiding the PUP list at the start of training camp. While the Rams predictably held him out of preseason action, Kupp is poised to return to the field Sunday against a Panthers defense that was middle of the pack against the pass (240.4 yards per game) in 2018.
