Inactive versus Steelers
Kincaid (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
After being deemed a 'DNP' on Wednesday, Kincaid, who last saw game action in Week 10, practiced in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday before being listed as questionable to face Pittsburgh. In his continued absence, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes will handle the Bills' Week 13 tight-end duties, a context that resulted in Knox catching three of his four targets for 17 yards and Hawes hauling in both of his targets in the team's 23-19 loss to the Texans on Nov. 20.
Nov 28, 2025
Questionable for Sunday's contest
Coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that Kincaid (hamstring) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After not practicing Wednesday, Kincaid, who last saw game action in Week 10, was able to practice in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday. With Buffalo kicking off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, ideally added context regarding his status will arrive before the first wave of kickoffs this weekend, but if Kincaid is unable to return to action versus Pittsburgh, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes would continue to handle the Bills tight end duties in Week 13.
Nov 28, 2025
Another limited practice
Kincaid (hamstring) will remain limited at practice Friday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid didn't practice Wednesday, but back-to-back limited sessions offer hope that the tight end -- who last saw game action in Week 10 -- could return to the lineup Sunday against the Steelers. The Bills' upcoming injury report is slated to reveal Kincaid's Week 13 game status, in any case.
Nov 27, 2025
Returns to limited practice
Kincaid (hamstring) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid hadn't been able to practice since hurting his hamstring during Week 10 action, so his return to the field Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity, is a step in the right direction for the tight end ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Kincaid is able to upgrade his practice participation, as well as his Week 13 game status.
Nov 26, 2025
Still not practicing
Kincaid (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
While coach Sean McDermott noted this past Friday that Kincaid was improving, the tight end hasn't been able to practice since hurting his hamstring in Week 10. When asked Wednesday if Kincaid could return to action Sunday against the Steelers, McDermott replied, "we'll see, there's a chance." If Kincaid is unable to return this weekend, however, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes would continue to handle Buffalo's tight end duties in Week 13.
Nov 21, 2025
Making progress in recovery
Kincaid (hamstring) is improving in his recovery, head coach Sean McDermott said Friday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid hasn't practiced or played since hurting his hamstring in Buffalo's Week 10 loss to the Dolphins. After Thursday's loss to the Texans, the Bills don't play again until Nov. 30 at Pittsburgh. If Kincaid resumes practicing prior to that game, that could put him on track to return against the Steelers.
Nov 19, 2025
Ruled out for TNF
Bills coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Kincaid (hamstring) is ruled out for Thursday's road contest against the Texans, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McDermott's announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Kincaid was labeled "week-to-week" after injuring his hamstring Week 10 versus the Dolphins and hasn't practiced in any capacity since. His next chance to return to action will come Sunday, Nov. 30 on the road against Pittsburgh in Week 13, while Dawson Knox will start at tight end for Buffalo on Thursday, with Jackson Hawes operating in the No. 2 role.
Nov 18, 2025
Will remain DNP on Tuesday
Coach Sean McDermott said Kincaid (hamstring) will remain sidelined for Tuesday's practice, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid is looking unlikely to play Thursday night against the Texans. With Kincaid out last Sunday against the Bucs, Dawson Knox played 77 percent of the offensive snaps and recorded one catch for 23 yards on three targets, while Jackson Hawes played 34 percent of the snaps and didn't draw a target. Neither would be an exciting fantasy play against Houston.
Nov 17, 2025
Unable to practice Monday
Bills coach Sean McDermott said Kincaid (hamstring) will be listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Buffalo will host a walkthrough practice Monday, but Kincaid's hamstring injury will nonetheless keep him from participating in any capacity. That bodes poorly for the starting tight end's odds of gaining clearance in time for Thursday's road matchup against the Texans, especially given that he's been labeled "week-to-week" and has only missed one contest so far. Dawson Knox played 75 percent of offensive snaps versus the Buccaneers in Week 11 with Kincaid sidelined, though he only secured one catch for 23 yards (on three targets).
Nov 14, 2025
Ruled out for Sunday
Coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that Kincaid (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Buccaneers, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid will thus target a potential return to action this coming Thursday, when the Bills face the Texans on the road. In his absence this weekend, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes are slated to handle Buffalo's tight end duties versus Tampa Bay, a context that makes Knox a streaming option to consider in Week 11.
Nov 13, 2025
Not seen at practice Thursday
Kincaid (hamstring) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With back-to-back 'DNPs' looming, Kincaid's status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers looks cloudy at this stage. If he ends up ruled out for the contest come Friday, fellow tight ends Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes would be on track to see added snaps/targets this weekend.
Nov 12, 2025
Not practicing Wednesday
Kincaid (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid now has two more opportunities to make a practice appearance before the Bills assign injury designations ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. If he's limited or out this weekend, fellow TEs Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes would be in line to see added snaps/targets in Week 11.
Nov 10, 2025
Considered week-to-week
Kincaid is week-to-week after suffering a hamstring injury during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid secured two of three targets for 37 yards before being forced out of Sunday's divisional loss in the third quarter. He appears to be dealing with an injury severe enough to likely keep him sidelined Week 11 versus the Buccaneers, and potentially longer, though the Bills haven't yet provided an estimated timetable for third-year pro's recovery. Kincaid has emerged as one of Josh Allen's clear top targets in the passing game alongside wide receiver Khalil Shakir, and any missed games on his part will thrust Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes into expanded roles at tight end.
Nov 9, 2025
Hurts hamstring Sunday
Kincaid (hamstring) won't return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Before sustaining his hamstring injury, Kincaid ended up catching two of his three targets in the contest for 37 yards. He'll now target a potential return to action next Sunday against the Buccaneers. For now, Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes are the Bills' healthy tight ends.
Nov 9, 2025
Exits Sunday's game
Kincaid was forced out of Sunday game against the Dolphins with a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Before his departure from the contest, Kincaid caught two of his three targets for 37 yards. While he's sidelined, Dawson Knoxand Jackson Hawes will handle Buffalo's TE duties.
Nov 2, 2025
Puts it all together in Week 9
Kincaid hauled in all six of his targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-21 win over the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Sunday's production tied Kincaid's previous season highs in targets and receptions from a six-catch, 108-yard outing against the Patriots in Week 5. The 25-year-old was able to tack on his fourth receiving touchdown of the season in the win over the Chiefs, culminating in his finest fantasy performance to date in 2025. Kincaid upped his season line to 27-411-4 through seven appearances, with a couple of low-usage games holding him back from a true breakout season. Kincaid will look to carry the momentum from Sunday's showing into a road matchup against the Dolphins in Week 10.
Oct 26, 2025
Quiet in return to action
Kincaid (oblique) brought in one of three targets for 23 yards in the Bills' 40-9 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Making his return from a one-game absence that predated the Week 7 bye, Kincaid made a splash on his one catch but was otherwise quiet. The third-year tight end had posted a 108-yard performance against the Patriots in Week 5 before sitting out Week 6, but he's now recorded 48 receiving yards or less in four of his other five games heading into a Week 9 clash with the Chiefs at home next Sunday afternoon.
Oct 26, 2025
Suiting up Week 8
Kincaid (oblique) is active for Sunday's game at Carolina.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out a Week 6 loss to the Falcons before the Bills went on bye Week 7, Kincaid looks ready to give it a go Sunday following three limited practices this week. The 2023 first-round pick should continue to fill his usual role as the Bills' top pass-catching tight end, though he's unlikely to dominate the snaps at the position since Buffalo remains keen on keeping Dawson Knox involved due to his blocking prowess.
Oct 24, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Kincaid (oblique) will be limited in Friday's practice and listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who was inactive for the Bills' loss loss to the Falcons in Week 6 after being limited at practice three consecutive days, has yet to upgrade to full participation since then, and given his 'questionable' designation, the tight end's Week 8 status won't be known until the inactives are posted ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kincaid is ends up limited or sidelined versus Carolina, Dawson Knox would be in line to see added snaps/targets, with Jackson Hawes available to mix in.
Oct 23, 2025
Still limited Thursday
Kincaid (oblique) remained limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who missed the Bills' Week 6 loss to the Falcons after being limited at practice three consecutive days, has thus far been unable to upgrade his participation level as Sunday's game against the Panthers approaches. Unless that happens Friday, Kincaid will presumably carry an injury designation into the weekend. If he's limited or out versus Carolina, fellow TEs Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes would be in line for added snaps in Week 8.
Oct 22, 2025
To be limited Wednesday
Kincaid (oblique) will be limited at practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official sitereports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was inactive for the Bills' Week 6 loss to the Falcons after logging three straight limited practice listings. On the heels of the team's bye, the tight end will remain limited Wednesday, as the his team prepares for Sunday's game against the Panthers. In his absence versus Atlanta, fellow TE Dawson Knox caught one of his two targets for 19 yards, while Jackson Hawes wasn't targeted.
Oct 13, 2025
Inactive Monday
Kincaid (oblique) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who opened the practice week Thursday sporting a non-contact jersey, was subsequently deemed limited in all three sessions before being listed as questionable for Monday's contest. Now that he's been ruled out versus Atlanta, Dawson Knox is in line to lead the Bills' Week 6 TE corps, with Jackson Hawes available to mix in. Kincaid will target a potential return to action Oct. 26 against the Panthers, following Buffalo's bye week.
Oct 11, 2025
Questionable for MNF
Kincaid (oblique) is listed as questionable for Monday's game in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid donned a non-contact jersey at Thursday's practice and spent the entirety of Week 6 prep as a limited participant due to an oblique injury. With a Monday night kickoff on tap, there won't be many options to turn to if Kincaid ends up inactive. Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes currently are the TE options on the Bills' active roster.
Oct 10, 2025
Stays limited Friday
Kincaid (oblique) remained a limited participant in practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid has been a limited participant both Thursday and Friday. He'll have one more opportunity to upgrade to full participation Saturday before the Bills reveal their injury designations for Monday's game against the Falcons.
Oct 9, 2025
Logs limited practice
Kincaid (oblique) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com, Kincaid sported a non-contact jersey during Thursday's session, with the Bills' first practice report of the week revealing that the tight end is working through an oblique issue. Kincaid now has two more chances to upgrade his participation level ahead of Monday night's game against the Falcons. In this past Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Patriots, Kincaid logged a 54 percent snap share while catching all six of his targets for a team-high 108 yards.
Oct 9, 2025
Wearing non-contact jersey
Kincaid (undisclosed) is wearing a non-contact jersey at Thursday's practice, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid appears to be dealing with an injury ahead of Monday's road matchup against the Falcons. At the latest, Thursday's official injury report will reveal both the nature of Kincaid's issue and his practice level. The third-year pro has scored three times across five-regular season appearances so far, and he surpassed 100 receiving yards Week 5 versus the Patriots, performances which have inspired confidence in his status as a weekly fantasy starter. If Kincaid were to miss any time, Dawson Knox would step into the No. 1 role at tight end.
Oct 6, 2025
Career-best performance
Kincaid recorded six receptions on six targets for 108 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Buffalo's offense looked out of sync for much of the game, but Kincaid was a bright spot. He recorded the first 100-yard receiving performance of his career in both regular-season and postseason contests, powered by a very efficient effort on six targets. Kincaid caught three passes of at least 20 yards, matching his total from the first four games of the season. Kincaid has also earned exactly six targets in three of his last four games, making him reliably involved in one of the most efficient offenses in the league.
Sep 28, 2025
Scores long TD in win
Kincaid secured one of two targets for a 28-yard touchdown in the Bills' 31-19 win over the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid made his one catch count by streaking open down the right side of the field for his touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. The reception and receiving yardage totals were both low-water marks for Kincaid in the first four weeks, but with three touchdowns already on his 2025 ledger, he's still rewarding fantasy managers despite the relative week-to-week uncertainty inherent in the Bills' air attack. Kincaid next sets his sights on the Patriots' defense, which he'll face in a Week 5 home matchup next Sunday night.
Sep 19, 2025
Paces pass catchers in Week 3 win
Kincaid secured five of six targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid led the Bills in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, rounding out his productive performance with a 20-yard outstretched touchdown grab in the first quarter that answered Miami's early score. The athletic tight end has arguably been Buffalo's most consistent game-to-game pass catcher for fantasy purposes through the first three games, as he'll take a 13-151-2 line on 16 targets into a Week 4 home matchup against the Saints on Sunday, Sept. 28.
Sep 14, 2025
Another four-catch outing
Kincaid caught four of six targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid led the Bills in targets and receiving yards as the passing attack took a back seat to the running game, which produced 224 yards and three touchdowns. The 2023 first-round pick has opened his third NFL campaign with a pair of four-catch performances and should remain involved in Thursday's Week 3 home game against the Dolphins.
Sep 8, 2025
Gets scoring started in wild win
Kincaid caught all four of his targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-40 win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid scored a 15-yard touchdown on the opening drive but was relatively quiet the rest of the way, especially considering Josh Allen ultimately threw for 394 yards. This was nonetheless an encouraging performance from Kincaid, who had only two regular-season touchdowns apiece in the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. Dawson Knox had two catches for 20 yards and rookie fifth-round pick Jackson Hawes also had a 29-yard catch, but Kincaid clearly looks like the top receiving option among Buffalo's tight ends heading into Week 2 against the Jets.
Sep 2, 2025
Unlikely to be full-time player
Kincaid's role isn't expected to expand much from last season, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
"The way it has looked during camp, Kincaid's role growing well past the 66 percent (of the offensive snaps) figure shouldn't be the expectation - at least not to begin the season," Buscaglia wrote Tuesday. "Dawson Knox's presence in the offense isn't going anywhere, anytime soon, and Kincaid still has his hangups as a blocker." Kincaid played just 57 percent of the offensive snaps across 13 regular-season contests last season, as he missed three late-season games to a knee issue before sitting out with the rest of the starters for the Week 18 finale. While Kincaid is healthy again, it doesn't sound like he's going to be a true full-time player in a Buffalo offense loaded with pass-catching talent and trusted role players, like Knox.
Aug 9, 2025
Sees limited work Saturday
Kincaid caught his only target for 10 yards in Saturday's 34-25 preseason loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The third-year tight end hauled in a Mitchell Trubisky pass on Buffalo's first drive and quickly checked out of the game after that, with Dawson Knox instead catching a red-zone TD pass from Trubisky in the second quarter. Kincaid is locked into the top spot on the depth chart, but his first task in 2025 is just to stay on the field. Knee injuries limited him to 13 regular-season games last season and resulted in 44 catches for 448 yards and two touchdowns on 75 targets, a big step back in production from his dynamic rookie campaign. Kincaid appeared fully healthy in Saturday's cameo appearance, but he's already dealt with some knee soreness in training camp, an ominous sign for his fantasy value.
Jul 29, 2025
Returns to practice
Kincaid (knee) is participating in Tuesday's practice, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid sat out practice Monday due to knee soreness, but he's back in full uniform Tuesday, per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com. The third-year tight end has bulked up for the 2025 season and entered training camp carrying a clean bill of health, and there are no indications that the soreness he dealt with Monday is anything more than minor. That said, Kincaid battled lingering knee issues in both knees last season, including a torn PCL, which GM Brandon Beane said were the major cause of his disappointing sophomore production totals, so it will be encouraging for fantasy managers anticipating a Year 3 breakout if Kincaid is able to avoid any further absences.
Jul 28, 2025
Bothered by knee soreness
Kincaid missed Monday's practice due to knee soreness, Alex Brasky of Bills Digest reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear if the injury is to the same knee that Kincaid had problems with last season when he missed Weeks 11-14. Whatever the case, there's no indication for now that he's dealing with a serious issue.
Jun 13, 2025
Adds strength ahead of third season
Kincaid has "added both strength and bulk" during the offseason, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid dealt with knee injuries last year, causing him to miss three regular-season games and to log lower snap counts following his Week 15 return. Bills GM Brandon Beane attributed the talented tight end's lessened statistics -- he went from a 73-673-2 receiving line as a rookie to a 44-448-2 line as a sophomore -- to the knee issues, saying Kincaid's campaign was "really more of an injury thing and nothing more than that." Per Buscaglia, Kincaid impressed during practice Thursday and now has a clean bill of health. He adds that Kincaid's increased strength could help him remain on the field more often for run-blocking reps, which would increase his offensive snap count and be a boost to Buffalo's offense.
Jan 27, 2025
Prolific drop in AFCCG
Kincaid secured two of four targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 32-29 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid's quiet AFCCG performance will be most notably remembered for his drop with just under two minutes left in the fourth quarter, a fourth-and-five play in which Josh Allen found the second-year tight end open downfield, but saw the ball lodge free of his pass-catcher's hands while attempting a diving grab. The admittedly difficult catch highlights disappointment surrounding Kincaid's production Year 2, in which he strung together just a 44-448-2 receiving line across 13 regular-season appearances. Teammate Dawson Knox said Monday that Kincaid played through injuries in both knees, including a torn PCL, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News, but he didn't carry an official injury designation into any of the Bills' three playoff appearances.
Jan 19, 2025
One catch in divisional-round win
Kincaid caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-25 AFC divisional-round win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid continues to post modest numbers, though he was hardly the only player to struggle in the passing game for the Bills in this one, as only Khalil Shakir (67) exceeded 15 receiving yards. The talented tight end could be more involved in the AFC Championship Game against a Chiefs defense that allowed the most receiving yards in the league to the position in the regular season.
Jan 13, 2025
Three catches in wild-card win
Kincaid played 29 of the Bills' 76 offensive snaps and finished with three catches for 47 yards on three targets in Sunday's 31-7 wild-card win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
After being active but not playing in the Bills' Week 18 loss to the Patriots while Buffalo was locked into the AFC's No. 2 seed, Kincaid was back in action for the playoff opener, but he once again played second fiddle at tight end to Dawson Knox. For the fourth consecutive game in which both tight ends saw action, Knox outpaced Kincaid in playing time, taking the field for 46 snaps. While Kincaid brings more speed at the position and offers a more diverse route tree, Knox is the more trusted blocker and isn't a total zero as a receiver, as he caught two passes for 38 yards against Denver and finished the regular season with a 22-311-1 line on 33 targets over 16 games. As such, Knox looks as though he could continue to play ahead of Kincaid when the Bills host the Ravens in the divisional round next Sunday.
Jan 8, 2025
Sits out Week 18
Kincaid didn't play any snaps during Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Though Kincaid wasn't inactive for the regular-season finale, the Bills ended up holding out the second-year tight end and a number of other key players since they had already secured the AFC's No. 2 seed heading into the day. Since his return from injury Week 15, Kincaid's playing time has hovered below 50 percent of offensive snaps over his last three appearances, so additional rest could leave him ready to handle an increased role in Sunday's wild-card round game against the Broncos. Across 13 regular-season appearances in Year 2, Kincaid secured 44 of 75 targets for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
Dec 29, 2024
Just two catches in Week 17
Kincaid caught both of his targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 40-14 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid finished sixth on the team in receiving yards as Josh Allen spread the ball around in the lopsided win. The talented tight end hasn't been much of a factor for a while, having exceeded 32 yards only once since Week 7. His next chance to snap this slump likely won't come until the playoffs, as the Bills' starters should play sparingly or not at all in Week 18 against the Patriots.
Dec 23, 2024
Does little with seven targets
Kincaid recorded four receptions on seven targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Despite winning, the entire Buffalo passing attack struggled against the Patriots. Kincaid was no exception, though there were positives to take away from his usage, despite the disastrous stat line. Notably, he led the team with seven targets and now has hit that mark in both of his games since returning from a knee injury.
Dec 15, 2024
Four catches in return
Kincaid secured four of seven targets for 53 yards in the Bills' 48-42 win over the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Making his return from a three-game absence due to a knee injury, Kincaid finished third in receptions and receiving yards while sharing the team lead in targets. Kincaid's yardage tally was actually a new season high, and he's posted a trio of four-reception tallies in his last four games dating back to Week 8.
Dec 15, 2024
Active versus Detroit
Kincaid (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who has missed the Bills' last three games, was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's walk-through and Thursday's practice estimate, as well as Friday's session. With Kincaid deemed available versus Detroit, the tight end should step back into a key role in Buffalo's passing game in Week 15, barring any limitations or in-game setbacks. Prior to sustaining his knee injury, Kincaid had recorded a 34/356/2 receiving line on 59 targets over the course of 10 games.
Dec 13, 2024
Questionable for Sunday
Head coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that Kincaid (knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who has missed the Bills' last three games, was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's walk-through, as well as Thursday's practice estimate, and will work Friday in some capacity. If he's available versus Detroit, the tight end likely would step back into a key role in Buffalo's passing game. However, given his looming 'questionable' designation, confirmation of Kincaid's Week 15 status won't arrive until inactives are posted ahead of Buffalo's 4:25 ET kickoff.
Dec 11, 2024
Listed as full participant
Kincaid (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice.
ANALYSIS
The decision to list Kincaid as a full participant -- even in a low-intensity practice -- suggests he's expected to return from a three-game absence for Sunday's game in Detroit. He'll likely be back in his regular role as the starting tight end and top pass catcher at the position, but it might come with fewer targets than he saw earlier this season, as the Bills' WR group has come on strong recently and now gets Keon Coleman back from a wrist injury.
Dec 8, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Kincaid (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who last played in Week 10, was deemed questionable for the contest after practicing in limited fashion Wednesday through Friday. With the 2023 first-rounder sidelined once again Sunday, Dawson Knox is on track to continue see added opportunities as the Bills' top pass-catching tight end option, while Zach Davidson is on hand to provide depth at the position in Week 14.
Dec 8, 2024
Not expected to play Sunday
Kincaid (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Rams, is not expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who last suited up for game action in Week 10, was able practice all week but on a limited basis. Despite this report his status won't be officially known until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kincaid is inactive this weekend, Dawson Knox again would handle most of the TE reps for the Bills.
Dec 6, 2024
May return to action Sunday
Kincaid (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid made an early exit Week 10 at Indianapolis due to a knee injury and wasn't able to practice until this week, when he strung together three consecutive limited sessions. He thus has a chance to end his absence at two games, something that'll be confirmed, one way or another, about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kincaid is inhibited or inactive this weekend, Dawson Knox again would handle most of the TE reps for the Bills.
Dec 5, 2024
Limited practice Thursday
Kincaid (knee) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who last suited up for game action in Week 10, was also deemed limited in Wednesday's walk-through. With that in mind, the tight end will likely have to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Rams without an injury designation. If Kincaid remains out this weekend, however, Dawson Knox would be in line to continue to see added opportunities as the Bills' top pass-catching TE option.
Dec 4, 2024
To be limited in walk-through
Head coach Sean McDermott noted that Kincaid (knee) will be listed as limited in Wednesday's walk-through, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who last saw game action in Week 10, didn't practice last week, so his looming limited listing is a step in the right direction. The tight end will thus have two more opportunities to upgrade his participation level ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams, but if he remains out or is limited at all this weekend, Dawson Knox would be in line to see added Week 14 opportunities.
Nov 29, 2024
Ruled out for Sunday
Head coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that Kincaid (knee) won't play Sunday night against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
With Kincaid set to miss his second straight contest, Dawson Knox is slated to maintain an expanded role in the Bills offense, while serving as the team's primary option at tight end versus San Francisco. Kincaid's next chance to see game action will occur Dec. 8 when Buffalo faces the Rams in Week 14.
Nov 28, 2024
Listed as non-participant Thursday
Kincaid (knee) was listed as a non-participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Back-to-back 'DNP' listings cloud Kincaid's status for Sunday night's game against the 49ers, with the tight end down to one chance to return to practice ahead of Week 13 action. If Kincaid ends up remaining sidelined for the contest, Dawson Knox would be in line to maintain an expanded role in the Bills offense as the team's top TE option versus San Francisco.
Nov 27, 2024
Won't practice Wednesday
Head coach Sean McDermott said that Kincaid (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid missed the Bills' Week 11 win over the Chiefs and he's still not practicing following the team's bye week. The tight end has two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, but if Kincaid remains sidelined this weekend, Dawson Knox would be in line to maintain an expanded role in Week 13.
Nov 15, 2024
Ruled out for Sunday
Head coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that Kincaid (knee) won't play Sunday against the Chiefs, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who suffered a knee injury during Buffalo's win over the Colts this past Sunday, will thus target a potential return to action following the team's Week 12 bye, when the Bills host the 49ers on Dec. 1. In his absence this weekend, Dawson Knox is slated to work as the top tight end, with Quintin Morris in reserve, and as a result Knox figures to see an uptick in his involvement in Buffalo's passing game versus Kansas City.
Nov 14, 2024
Remains sidelined Thursday
Kincaid (knee) wasn't present for Thursday's practice, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who sustained a knee injury during the Bills' Week 10 win over the Colts, also didn't practice Wednesday, so what the tight end is able to do Friday will loom large in terms of his status for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. If Kincaid is unavailable this weekend, Dawson Knox would be in line see added opportunities in Week 11.
Nov 13, 2024
Not practicing Wednesday
Head coach Sean McDermott said that Kincaid (knee) won't participate in Wednesday's walk-through, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinkaid hurt his knee in this past Sunday's win over the Colts, and with the tight end's looming 'DNP' in mind, his status ahead of this weekend's game against the Chiefs is uncertain. If Kincaid is limited or out in Week, 11 Dawson Knox would step in as the Bills' starting TE versus Kansas City.
Nov 10, 2024
Dealing with knee issue
Following Sunday's 30-20 win over the Colts, Kincaid addressed his brief attempt to return to action after suffering a knee injury earlier in the contest, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. "Thought I could go and just didn't feel good enough to run and be able to go out there and protect myself," the tight end noted.
ANALYSIS
In any case, Kincaid, who finished up the game with two catches on five targets for 24 yards, figures to get his knee checked out ahead of Week 11 action. For now, however, consider the tight end day-to-day in advance of next Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Nov 10, 2024
Doubtful to return Sunday
Kincaid is considered doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Colts due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
After having previously exited the contest, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com relays that Kincaid returned for two snaps in the third quarter, but evidently the tight end hasn't shaken his knee issue. In his absence, Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris are available to handle Buffalo's TE duties.
Nov 10, 2024
Returns to Sunday's game
Kincaid (knee) returned to Sunday's game against the Colts, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid had been forced out of the contest after sustaining a knee injury, but he's back on the field to bolster the Bills' tight corps for the rest of the team's Week 10 matchup against Indianapolis.
Nov 10, 2024
Exits Sunday's game
Kincaid exited Sunday's game against the Colts after sustaining a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his departure, Kincaid had caught two of his four targets for 24 yards. While he's sidelined, Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris are next up for the Bills' tight end snaps.
Nov 3, 2024
Doesn't do much with 10 targets
Kincaid caught four of 10 targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid set a season high in targets, exceeding seven for the first time this season. The extra volume didn't lead to an uptick in production, but Kincaid has at least established a solid floor with over 30 yards in eight consecutive games after an 11-yard dud in the season opener. Kincaid will try to pick up the pace in Week 10 against the Colts.
Oct 27, 2024
Cashes in second TD
Kincaid hauled in four of seven targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was the recipient of one of two Josh Allen passing touchdowns in Sunday's lopsided victory. The 25-year-old Kincaid finished tied for second in targets for Buffalo while cashing in his second receiving touchdown of the season. Kincaid continues to split work with fellow tight end Dawson Knox (2-50-0), with the former being the preferred fantasy option ahead of next Sunday's tilt against Miami.
Oct 25, 2024
Clear for Sunday
Kincaid (collarbone) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid opened Week 8 prep with back-to-back limited sessions due to a collarbone injury, but a full practice Friday has cleared him ahead of the weekend. Fellow TE Dawson Knox (ankle) also practiced fully to cap the week, so the Bills' top two options at the position will be available Sunday.
Oct 24, 2024
Another limited practice
Kincaid (collarbone) remained limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
While Kincaid maintained his practice participation level from Wednesday, Dawson Knox (ankle) returned to a limited session Thursday after being absent one day prior. Friday's injury report is thus slated to add context regarding to the chances of Buffalo's top two tight ends playing Sunday against the Seahawks.
Oct 23, 2024
Limited in practice
Kincaid was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a collarbone injury.
ANALYSIS
His ability to practice in any capacity at the start of the week suggests Kincaid's injury is probably just a bruise and unlikely to prevent him from playing this Sunday at Seattle. Fellow Bills tight end Dawson Knox (ankle) was held out of Wednesday's practice entirely, potentially opening the door for Kincaid to play a few more snaps than usual Week 8.
Oct 20, 2024
Finding groove
Kincaid recorded three receptions on six targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
While the rest of the Buffalo passing offense saw some fluctuation, Kincaid remained in a stable role. He's now seen either six or seven targets in four consecutive games while recording at least 45 yards in three of them. Kincaid narrowly missed out on a bigger performance, as he was tackled at the two-yard line after a 25-yard gain at the end of the third quarter. While it hasn't been a breakout season, Kincaid has become a consistent contributor.
Oct 18, 2024
Ready for Week 7
Kincaid (collarbone) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
The Bills placed a cap on Kincaid's reps at Wednesday's walkthrough and Thursday's practice, but the second-year pro was able to handle a full allotment to wrap up Week 7 prep and thus has been cleared to suit up this weekend. He has yet to have a breakout performance through six games on the campaign, with this past Monday's output versus the Jets marking season highs in catches (six), receiving yards (51) and targets (seven).
Oct 17, 2024
Remains limited Thursday
Kincaid (collarbone) remained listed as limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who was also deemed limited in Wednesday's walk-through practice, sported a non-contact jersey during Thursday's session, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. The tight end now has one more chance to upgrade to full practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans, but if he doesn't do so Friday, he'll presumably head into the weekend with an injury designation.
Oct 16, 2024
Limited in walk-through
Kincaid (collarbone) was listed as limited in Wednesday's walk-through.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid recorded an 80 percent snap share in Monday's 23-20 win over the Jets, en route to catching six of of his seven targets for 51 yards. However, now that the tight end has been estimated as a limited participant in Wednesday's session, his status will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans.
Oct 15, 2024
Strong PPR performance
Kincaid corralled six of seven targets for 51 yards in Monday's 23-20 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid set a new high-water mark in both receptions and single-game yardage in Monday's tight win. The sophomore tight end had a better fantasy performance when he caught his lone touchdown of the season in Week 3 against the Jaguars. Kincaid hasn't broke out with a big performance quite yet, but the 2023 first-round pick deserves consideration ahead of a Week 7 contest against Tennessee.
Oct 6, 2024
Two catches in Week 5 loss
Kincaid caught two of six targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid tied Mack Hollins for the team lead in both catches and targets as the Bills played without leading pass catcher Khalil Shakir (ankle). This subpar performance can be chalked up to a rare off day from Josh Allen, who completed only nine passes, but it continued a larger trend of disappointment for Kincaid, who has yet to reach the 50-yard threshold in a game heading into a Week 6 MNF clash against the AFC East rival Jets.
Sep 29, 2024
Seven targets in Week 4 loss
Kincaid caught five of seven targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid continued the trend of increasing his target and receiving yard totals in every game this season, topping his respective Week 3 marks of five and 41. He's still searching for the first 50-yard performance of his sophomore season after topping that mark in six of his last 11 regular-season games as a rookie. Kincaid will try to finally reach that threshold in Week 5 against the Texans.
Sep 23, 2024
Scores TD as volume ticks up
Kincaid caught three of five targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 47-10 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid scored a six-yard touchdown in the first quarter on the first of Josh Allen's four first-half touchdown passes. Allen has been spreading the ball around, and no player had more than six targets for Buffalo on Monday, but Kincaid's volume has been steadily increasing. The 2023 first-round draft pick had just two targets in Week 1, then four in Week 2 before setting another season high with five. Kincaid will look to continue that trend when the Bills travel to Baltimore for SNF in Week 4.
Sep 13, 2024
Four grabs in Week 2 win
Kincaid secured all four targets for 33 yards in the Bills' 31-10 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid had surprisingly been held to just one reception in the season-opening win against the Cardinals, and Josh Allen appeared intent on getting his second-year tight end involved early Thursday. Kincaid was on the receiving end of Allen's first two pass attempts, which totaled 17 yards. Kincaid still finished with a modest line overall, but he did have the second-most receptions and targets on the night for the Bills while also tying Ty Johnson for second-most receiving yards. Kincaid should have a chance to see his opportunities continue to climb in a Week 3 home matchup against the Bills on Monday night, Sept. 23.
Sep 8, 2024
Just one catch Week 1
Kincaid caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was expected to take on a larger role in Buffalo's passing game after the team traded away top receiver Stefon Diggs in the offseason, but the tight end was quiet to begin his second NFL season. Fellow tight end Dawson Knox also got two targets, catching one for 23 yards. Buffalo had 33 running plays compared to just 23 throws for Josh Allen, so a lack of volume could be a concern for Kincaid moving forward if he continues to split opportunities with Knox and the Bills keep calling a run-heavy offense. The 2023 first-round draft pick will look to bounce back Thursday in Miami.
Sep 5, 2024
Prospects strong for 2024
After offensive coordinator Joe Brady took over for Ken Dorsey during the second half of the 2023 season, Kincaid's depth of target increased from six yards to nine yards, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports. Kincaid also averaged 14.5 yards per catch during the Bills' final two regular-season games and two postseason games.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid is being developed in the same manner as the league's tight end elites like Mark Andrews and George Kittle. Even though he's entering just his second season, Kincaid may be Buffalo's best weapon in the receiving game given that Khalil Shakir is the only wide receiver that's ever caught a regular-season pass from Josh Allen. Kincaid is coming off a 73-673-2 line over 16 regular-season games last season, and he's a player to target after the top 3-4 tight ends are off the board. Teammate Dawson Knox also isn't a bad dart given the context of this offense and its lack of star receivers, should Kincaid miss any time.
Aug 24, 2024
Rested for preseason finale
Kincaid didn't see the field in Saturday's 31-26 preseason loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Buffalo held key starters like Josh Allen and Kincaid out of the preseason finale to ensure that they're healthy for the Sept. 8 regular-season opener against the Cardinals. Kincaid put up 673 receiving yards in a promising rookie regular season last year, and he's a likely candidate to pick up some of the slack following the offseason departure of wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who accounted for 1,183 receiving yards on 160 targets in the 2023 regular season.
Aug 16, 2024
To play over a quarter Saturday
The Bills plan for Kincaid and the starting offense to play one and a half quarters during Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Buffalo deployed the first-team units for only a quarter during last week's preseason opener against the Bears, in which Kincaid secured his only target for seven yards. With Dawson Knox (groin/ankle) currently managing a pair of injuries, Kincaid could be in line for a larger portion of snaps than usual Saturday. The second-year pro looks like a breakout candidate at the tight end position after having put up a 73-673-2 receiving line across 16 regular-season games as a rookie.
Aug 5, 2024
Shining at camp
Kincaid has been impressive throughout training camp, according to Alex Brasky of the Batavia Daily News.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 first-round pick came on strong in the second half of his rookie season -- especially while fellow tight end Dawson Knox was out with a wrist injury -- and now becomes a candidate to lead the Bills in targets post-Stefon Diggs. It is possible Knox's superior size/blocking costs Kincaid some snaps (and therefore routes), but there's no doubt Kincaid will be one of the passing-game priorities whenever he's on the field. The Bills otherwise seem to be counting on WRs Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman, along with RB James Cook. While there's no obvious superstar like Diggs, the diversity of skill sets could work well in combination with the rushing threat posed by QB Josh Allen.
Jan 22, 2024
Buffalo's leading receiver in loss
Kincaid caught all five of his targets for 45 yards in Buffalo's 27-24 divisional-round loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The stat line explains more than just Kincaid having another strong game in what's been a fantastic rookie season, as the fact that his 45 yards led the team shows just how much the Bills couldn't get Stefon Diggs going in such a crucial game, or that Josh Allen has to play Superman with his legs for the team to keep up with elite opponents. As for Kincaid, his 73 receptions in the regular season were the fourth-most in NFL history by a rookie tight end, and he's already passed teammate Dawson Knox as the No. 1 tight end in the passing game. The future is bright for Kincaid, who posted a 73-673-2 line in 16 regular-season games, especially considering he'll have an elite quarterback throwing him the ball for perhaps the next several years.
Jan 15, 2024
Shines in postseason debut
Kincaid caught three of six targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 31-17 playoff win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid and Stefon Diggs (nine targets) were the focal points of the Buffalo passing game, though Kincaid's tight end teammate Dawson Knox did catch a touchdown pass while seeing only two targets. Even with Knox healthy again, Kincaid remains the top receiving tight end in this offense, seeing six or greater targets in each of the past three games while combining for 14 catches for 230 receiving yards during that span.
Jan 8, 2024
Strong finish to rocky season
Kincaid finished with seven receptions on eight targets for 84 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid led the Bills in targets and was one of three players to encroach 80 receiving yards in the division-sealing victory Sunday. The first-round pick had underwhelmed at various points of his rookie journey, but the tight end finished strong with 11 receptions and 171 of his 673 yards coming in the final two weeks of the regular season. While the overall numbers were disappointing for fantasy, Kincaid provided a good starting point to build off of heading into his second year as a pro. He will get at least one additional opportunity to develop his game when the Bills host the Steelers in the wild-card round of the playoffs next Sunday.
Dec 31, 2023
Leading receiver in Week 17
Kincaid caught four of seven targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
The rookie tied end led the Bills in receiving yards while tying Stefon Diggs for the team lead in targets. Kincaid had caught just one of four targets over the prior two games combined while being listed as having a shoulder issue on Week 17 practice reports, but he appeared to be fully healthy Sunday in a bounce-back performance. He'll look to finish his first NFL season on a high note, and help Buffalo capture another AFC East title, in Week 18 against Miami.
Dec 21, 2023
Set to play Saturday
Kincaid (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday night's game against the Chargers after practicing in a limited fashion this week.
ANALYSIS
Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com previously noted that Kincaid sported a red (non-contact) jersey during Thursday's practice, but the tight end will nonetheless be available to face Los Angeles. In this past Sunday's 31-10 win over the Cowboys, Kincaid logged 33 of a possible 68 snaps on offense and didn't catch either of his two targets, while fellow TE Dawson Knox was out there for 42 snaps, but wasn't targeted at all. Despite his quiet Week 15 effort, Kincaid profiles as a bounce-back candidate this weekend, barring any in-game setbacks. In 13 outings to date, the 2023 first-rounder has made a mark by catching 61 of his 74 targets for 495 yards and two TDs.
Dec 20, 2023
Limited in Wednesday's practice
Kincaid (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid remained listed as limited as the Bills held practice Wednesday after getting the same designation for Tuesday's walkthrough. He was also limited throughout the week leading up to Buffalo's previous game. Kincaid played in that 31-10 win over Dallas but didn't record a catch. He's unlikely to sit out Saturday against the Chargers but may be playing at less than full health.
Dec 19, 2023
Remains listed as limited
Kincaid was listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate due to a shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
The Bills contained their first on-field work of Week 16 prep to a walkthrough, but Kincaid nonetheless would have had a cap on his reps if the team had held an actual practice. He also was listed as limited on all three injury reports last week due to thumb and shoulder issues but entered the weekend without a designation. Kincaid then logged a below-average 49 percent snap share and didn't haul in either of his targets during Sunday's 31-10 win against the Cowboys. His status will be one to monitor ahead of Saturday's game at the Chargers to see if he can increase his activity level Wednesday and/or Thursday.
Dec 17, 2023
Goose egg in Week 15 win
Kincaid didn't catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Josh Allen completed just seven passes as Buffalo went with a run-heavy approach in the comfortable win. If the Bills' newfound success on the ground continues, Kincaid could be limited by a lack of volume again in Week 16 against the Chargers, especially with fellow tight end Dawson Knox healthy. Kincaid's yardage total has dropped in each of the past five weeks since the rookie compiled a career-high 81 receiving yards in Week 9 against the Bengals.
Dec 15, 2023
Cleared to face Dallas
Kincaid (thumb/shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid appeared to injure his shoulder in the second half against Kansas City last week, but he's avoided a serious issue and is good to go for Sunday's clash with Dallas. Despite Dawson Knox's return from IR last week, Kincaid still saw eight targets and played 78 percent of the offensive snaps.
Dec 14, 2023
Logs limited practice
Kincaid (thumb/shoulder) was listed as limited in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid, who was also listed as limited in Wednesday's walk-though, sported a red (non-contact) jersey during Thursday's session, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. With that in mind, Kincaid will presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys. If Kincaid is limited or out this weekend, Dawson Knox would be next up for the Bills' TE snaps.
Dec 13, 2023
Limited in Wednesday's walk-through
Kincaid (thumb/shoulder) was listed as limited in Wednesday's walk-through.
ANALYSIS
The Bills kicked off the practice week with a walk-through Wednesday, but Kincaid's limited listing supports previous reports that the tight end is day-to-day as Sunday's game against the Cowboys approaches. In addition to a shoulder issue, Kincaid is also managing a thumb injury ahead of Week 15 action.
Dec 11, 2023
Day-to-day with shoulder injury
Kincaid (shoulder) is viewed as day-to-day as Sunday's game against the Cowboys approaches, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
While coach Sean McDermott relayed Monday that safety Micah Hyde (stinger) and defensive end A.J. Epenesa (rib) were in the week-to-week category, Kincaid was deemed day-to-day, which suggests that the tight end potentially could play through his shoulder issue this weekend. Added context with regard to his Week 15 status will arrive no later than Wednesday's practice, but if Kincaid is limited or out versus Dallas, Dawson Knox would be next up for Buffalo's TE snaps.
Dec 10, 2023
Getting X-rays on shoulder
Kincaid (shoulder) went to the X-ray room following Sunday's 20-17 win over Kansas City, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was deemed probable to return in the fourth quarter but the Bills just had to kneel the game out on their final possession. The rookie tight end finished with five catches for 21 yards on eight targets. If Kincaid's shoulder injury hampers his availability for the team's Week 15 matchup with the Cowboys, Dawson Knox would likely see additional involvement in the passing game.
Nov 26, 2023
Five catches against Philly
Kincaid caught five of six targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The rookie tight end's longest reception went for only 14 yards, but Kincaid still saw solid volume as he hauled in at least five passes for sixth straight game. He sports a 39-356-2 line over that stretch, and even if Dawson Knox (wrist) is able to return following the Bills' Week 13 bye, it's hard to imagine Kincaid's role in the passing game shrinking significantly given the chemistry he's established with Josh Allen.
Nov 20, 2023
Leads team in catches Sunday
Kincaid caught six of seven targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 32-6 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
The rookie tight end led the Bills in catches as he continues to see an elevated role in the absence of Dawson Knox (wrist). Over the last five games, Kincaid has put together a 34-318-2 line on 39 targets, and he could make an impact again in Week 12 against an Eagles defense that allowed five touchdowns to TEs through its first nine games.
Nov 13, 2023
Gets into end zone in loss
Kincaid brought in five of six targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 24-22 loss to the Broncos on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid set the pace for the Bills in receptions and tied for the team lead in targets while recording his second career touchdown on a 22-yard grab late in the first half. The rookie tight end has recorded at least five catches in four consecutive contests and scored in two of the last three, keeping his fantasy stock elevated heading into a Week 11 divisional battle against the Jets.
Nov 5, 2023
Career-high catch total in loss
Kincaid secured 10 of 11 targets for 81 yards in the Bills' 24-18 loss to the Bengals on Sunday night. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid paced the Bills in receptions and targets with totals that also qualified as new personal bests in his nascent career. However, the rookie's standout night was somewhat marred by his particularly untimely lost fumble, which came at the Bengals' 11-yard line early in the fourth quarter and Buffalo seemingly on the verge of reducing a 21-10 deficit. Nevertheless, the night was still a very productive from a fantasy perspective, and it brought Kincaid's line over the last three games to an impressive 23-221-1 on 26 targets. With Dawson Knox (IR-wrist) out at least two more games, Kincaid should continue to play an expanded role in the team's air attack.
Oct 27, 2023
Stays hot in Week 8 win
Kincaid brought in five of seven targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 24-18 win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid posted a career-best 8-75 line in Week 7 against the Patriots, and he nearly eclipsed the yardage mark in particular during Thursday's second straight strong showing. The rookie also scored his first career touchdown on a 22-yard grab late in the third quarter, and he'll take a stellar 13-140 line on 15 targets over the last two games into a Week 9 road showdown against the Bengals on Sunday night, Nov. 5.
Oct 26, 2023
Ascends to top of depth chart
Kincaid is expected to serve as the Bills' No. 1 tight end for at least the next four games after Buffalo placed Dawson Knox (wrist) on injured reserve Thursday, Nick Wojton of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Knox was already in line to miss Thursday's game against the Buccaneers after he underwent surgery on his injured wrist earlier this week, but his move to IR means that he'll be forced to miss an additional three contests, at a minimum. Though Knox had started in all seven of his appearances this season and played at least 50 percent of the snaps on offense in each of those contests, Kincaid had seen a similarly sizable role due to the Bills' willingness to have the rookie first-round pick line up all over the formation. While Knox is on the mend from surgery, Kincaid could line up out wide or in the slot less frequently and instead act as a more traditional tight end, but the 24-year-old's overall involvement in the passing game should expand nonetheless as the Bills look to redistribute the four targets per game Knox had been averaging on the season.
Oct 23, 2023
Opportunity knocking?
Coach Sean McDermott noted Monday that Kincaid's teammate, Dawson Knox, is slated to undergo surgery on his wrist, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
We're not sure how long the surgery will keep Knox sidelined, but this news would seemingly make Kincaid the team's clear-cut tight end in the passing game for at least a game or two, if not longer. Kincaid is coming off a career-high 8-75-0 line in Sunday's loss to New England, so the arrow is definitely pointing up for the only tight end selected in the first round in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Oct 22, 2023
Breakout game in Week 7 loss
Kincaid (concussion) caught all eight of his targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 29-25 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
In his return from a one-game absence, Kincaid led the Bills in catches and receiving yards while finishing four targets behind Stefon Diggs' team-high total. This was easily the best game of the 2023 first-round pick's young career, as Kincaid's previous highs were five catches and 43 yards. Kincaid has 25 catches to Dawson Knox's 15 heading into Thursday's Week 8 game against the Buccaneers, but Knox continues to take priority in the red zone while Kincaid has yet to find the end zone in his young career. Knox had a would-be touchdown erased by a penalty in the first quarter and caught a two-point conversion in the fourth.
Oct 18, 2023
Clears concussion protocol
Coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Kincaid has cleared the league's concussion protocol, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid missed Week 6 while in the concussion protocol, but he's been fully cleared in time for Wednesday's practice and can be considered 100 percent on track for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Patriots. As such, expect Kincaid and Dawson Knox to work as Buffalo's top TEs on the road against New England.
Oct 16, 2023
Still in concussion protocol
Kincaid remains in the league's concussion protocol Monday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was inactive for Sunday night's Week 6 win over the Giants. In his absence, Dawson Knox played 75 percent of the snaps, his highest snap share since Week 1. Quintin Morris got in on 30 percent of the snaps and caught the eventual game-winning touchdown. Kincaid has six more days to clear protocol ahead of the Week 7 date with the Patriots.
Oct 15, 2023
Inactive Sunday
Kincaid (concussion) is inactive for Sunday night's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid approached the contest listed as questionable after logging limited participation in practice this week but was evidently unable to clear the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of the contest. As a result, fellow TE Dawson Knox (wrist) figures to see added opportunities in the Bills offense Sunday. Kincaid will now target a potential return to action Oct. 22 against the Patriots.
Oct 13, 2023
Gets Week 6 questionable tag
Kincaid (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Buffalo's top two tight ends will take questionable tags into Sunday, as both Kincaid and Dawson Knox (wrist) weren't able to advance beyond limited participation in practice this week. While Knox could still play despite not practicing fully, Kincaid will need clearance from an independent neurologist ahead of Sunday's contest in order to exit concussion protocol and receive the green light to suit up. Beyond Knox and Kincaid, the Bills have Quintin Morris as the only other tight end on the 53-man active roster, though Joel Wilson could be elevated from the practice squad if additional depth is needed at the position this week.

Still in concussion protocol
Kincaid remains in the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of Friday's practice, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
That said, coach Sean McDermott noted that Kincaid is in line to practice in some capacity Friday. However, unless the tight end gains medical clearance in short order, it looks like he'll head into the weekend with an injury designation for Sunday night's game against the Giants.

Still limited Thursday
Kincaid (concussion) remained limited at practice Thursday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Fitzgerald, Kincaid sported anon-contact pinnie during Thursday's session and the tight end now has one more chance to upgrade to full participation ahead of Sunday night's game against the Giants. Friday's injury report will reveal whether that happens, but in any case, Kincaid would also have to fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol in order to avoid a Week 6 injury designation.

Logs limited practice Wednesday
Kincaid (concussion) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow tight end Dawson Knox (wrist), which makes the duo's status worth monitoring closely as Sunday night's game against the Giants approaches. Prior to exiting the Bills' Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, Kincaid logged 32 snaps and caught both of his targets for 19 yards.

Placed in concussion protocol
Kincaid was placed in the league's concussion protocol Monday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was evaluated for a head injury in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, but he was eventually cleared to return and finished with two catches for 19 yards on two targets. Buffalo hosts the Giants this upcoming Sunday night. With Dawson Knox also battling a wrist injury, the Bills could be down to Quintin Morris at tight end. Joel Wilson is on the practice squad.

Four grabs in Week 4 win
Kincaid brought in four of five targets for 27 yards in the Bills' 48-20 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The rookie finished second in receptions and targets to Stefon Diggs on the afternoon for the Bills, and he outpaced position mate Dawson Knox by three catches and targets apiece. Kincaid has seemingly already developed into Josh Allen's preferred pass-catching option at tight end, as he now has 15 receptions for 99 yards on 17 targets. Kincaid's next opportunity to build on an encouraging start to his career comes in a Week 5 matchup versus the Jaguars in London.

Catches two passes in win
Kincaid secured both of his targets for three yards in Sunday's 37-3 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid played 35 of the Bills' 68 offensive snaps Sunday, while veteran tight end Dawson Knox handled 41 snaps. The rookie's two targets were his fewest in a contest so far in his young career, and he has yet to find the end zone through three games. With that said, Kincaid has shown chemistry with Josh Allen which should continue to grow. In addition, Buffalo's use of 12-personnel on offense is affording the 23-year-old to line up as a wide receiver while Knox handles in-line tight end duties. Kincaid will look to bounce back in what could be a shootout between the Bills and Dolphins in Week 4.

Consistent role in offense
Kincaid recorded five receptions on six targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid was heavily involved in the offense for the second consecutive game, and he now has 10 targets across two contests as a pro. Against the Raiders, he was regularly targeted by Josh Allen in the short areas of the field and also managed to show his ability to run after the catch to rack up additional yardage. The Bills appear willing to run a considerable amount of 12-personnel, allowing Kincaid to serve primarily as a receiver while Dawson Knox acts more as a traditional in-line tight end.

Four catches in NFL debut
Kincaid caught all four of his targets for 26 yards in Monday's 22-16 overtime loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid put forth an efficient, albeit subdued, NFL debut. He had one more yard than veteran tight end Dawson Knox on the same number of targets. Both Knox and Kincaid should get their fair share of attention from quarterback Josh Allen in a pass-heavy Buffalo offense.

Not targeted
Kincaid wasn't targeted in Saturday's 24-21 preseason win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid appeared to play about half the snaps on QB Josh Allen's lone drive, which featured seven pass attempts and a short rushing score from RB Damien Harris. The Bills still have Dawson Knox as their top tight end, so in practice Kincaid is competing for snaps with No. 3 receiver Khalil Shakir as much or more so than with anyone else. Kincaid will make his regular-season NFL debut on Monday Night Football in Week 1 against the Jets.

First catches as pro
Kincaid recorded three receptions on four targets for 45 yards in Saturday's 27-15 preseason loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid began his day with the first unit as Dawson Knox (finger) was forced to miss the game. His first catch as a pro came from Josh Allen, though Kincaid connected with Matt Barkley for gains of 21 and 16 yards. Kincaid is likely to have a significant role in the offense come Week 1 of the regular season, and he flashed his big-play potential in Saturday's exhibition contest.

Not targeted in preseason debut
Kincaid (back) suited up for Saturday's preseason opener against Indianapolis, but he was not targeted during his brief exhibition debut.
ANALYSIS
While it would have been nice to see the first tight end taken in this year's draft get involved on offense, the fact that Kincaid suited up for the first of three exhibition contests at least confirms that he is completely over the back issues he experienced in the offseason. Buffalo traded up in the first round to draft the receiving tight end, and early reports indicate that the team has no intention of making the rookie sit behind the incumbent veteran, Dawson Knox, either. Hopefully we get a longer look at the exciting tight end prospect against the Steelers next Saturday.

Expected to contribute right away
Kincaid is being fast-tracked into a prominent role heading into his rookie season, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kincaid has impressed Buffalo's coaching staff with his route-running ability and hands. The rookie first-round pick out of Utah will battle incumbent starting tight end Dawson Knox for playing time, though the Bills will likely opt to utilize more 12 personnel to get both tight ends on the field simultaneously.

Signs rookie deal
Kincaid signed a four-year deal Saturday, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bills surprised plenty of people when they jumped up in the first round to select Kincaid out of Utah with the 25th pick, but there's little doubt about his pass-catching ability. He's already been participating in minicamp, though it may take much of the summer to determine how the Bills plan to utilize Kincaid in conjunction with the established Dawson Knox. There's a chance that Kincaid has enough athletic ability to see work in the slot, even at times when Knox is also on the field.

Goes to Buffalo in late first round
The Bills selected Kincaid in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 25th overall.
ANALYSIS
The Bills traded up from the 27th pick to make the selection, making the former Utah and San Diego star the first tight end off the board. Dawson Knox is the presumed starting tight end for Buffalo, yet the Bills would only make this selection if they had extensive plans for Kincaid. It's reasonable to suspect that Knox will continue to handle all the inline tasks, in which case Kincaid (6-foot-4, 246 pounds) would function more like a slot receiver whenever the Bills roll with two tight ends. As a smaller tight end, Kincaid will need to make his living running down the seam and maybe getting some boundary looks on shorter fields. Whether Kincaid can make a mainstream fantasy impact might depend on how many reps he can take from penciled-in slot wideout Khalil Shakir.
