Back to practice squad
Dallas reverted to the Panthers' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was active for the first time since Week 6 after being elevated from the Panthers' practice squad. He logged 16 special teams snaps in Monday's loss to the 49ers but did not record a stat.
Nov 24, 2025
Elevated to face 49ers
The Panthers have elevated Dallas from the practice squad to the active roster for Monday's contest against San Francisco, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas has previously appeared in two regular-season games with Carolina this year, having been a part of the team's active roster at the time. In that span he primarily contributed in the return game, and logged just one carry for zero yards on offense. Versus the 49ers, Dallas will figure to similarly handle a reserve role behind Rico Dowdle, Chuba Hubbard and Trevor Etienne, while potentially also fielding kick returns. He'll revert to the practice squad after Monday's contest.
Nov 4, 2025
Staying in Carolina
The Panthers signed Dallas to the practice squad Tuesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was released from the Panthers' active roster Saturday, but the 2020 fourth-rounder has opted to stay in Carolina as a member of the team's practice squad. He would be a top candidate to be elevated to the Panthers' 53-man roster if Rico Dowdle, Chuba Hubbard or Trevor Etienne were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension. Dallas played for the Panthers in Weeks 5 and 6 and accumulated 141 kick return yards.
Nov 1, 2025
Dropped by Carolina
Dallas was released by the Panthers on Saturday, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran running back was a healthy scratch in each of the Panthers' last two games, so it's no surprise that he was let go Saturday. Dallas appeared in two games and played 49 total snaps (33 on special teams, 16 on offense) for Carolina this season, recording 141 kick-return yards. He'll likely return to the Panthers' practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
Oct 26, 2025
Inactive for second straight game
Dallas (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas will be in street clothes for the second straight game while the Panthers go with Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle and Trevor Etienne as their available running backs. Over his two appearances with Carolina this season, Dallas primarily served as a kickoff return man, but the Panthers appear to be comfortable with Etienne handling those duties for the time being.
Oct 14, 2025
Gets first carry with Carolina
Dallas carried once for zero yards and returned one kickoff for 28 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
For the second straight week, Dallas suited up as the Panthers' No. 3 running back behind Rico Dowdle and Trevor Etienne while Chuba Hubbard (calf) remained sidelined. Dallas ended up playing four snaps on offense -- just four fewer than Etienne -- but Dowdle once again dominated the playing time while accounting for 34 of the 38 touches from the Carolina backfield. If Hubbard returns for the Panthers' Week 7 game against the Jets, Carolina will likely keep just one of Dallas and Etienne active for the contest, with either running back expected to see most of his playing time on special teams.
Oct 1, 2025
Signs with active roster
The Panthers signed Dallas off their practice squad Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old running back signed with Carolina's practice squad after failing to make the Cardinals' initial 53-man roster in late August. However, Dallas has now been promoted to the active roster and will likely operate in a depth role in the Panthers' backfield, playing behind Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle and Trevor Etienne.
Aug 28, 2025
Signs with Carolina
The Panthers signed Dallas to their practice squad Thursday, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cardinals released Dallas earlier in the week. The veteran running back appeared in all 17 regular-season games with Arizona last season, rushing nine times for 49 yards while catching three passes for 11 yards and one touchdown. Most of Dallas' contributions came on special teams, where he returned 15 kickoffs for 459 yards and one touchdown.
Aug 26, 2025
Released by Arizona
Dallas was released by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas appeared in all three preseason games with Arizona, turning seven carries into 13 rushing yards and two catches into 11 yards through the air. The running back also compiled 129 yards on five kick returns, which is something he specialized in with Arizona in 2024, recording 459 yards and a score kick returns over 17 regular-season games. Dallas will likely find a new team in the near future.
Feb 17, 2025
Mostly used on special teams in 2024
Dallas tallied nine carries for 49 yards and no touchdowns, three catches (on three targets) for 11 yards and one TD and 15 kick returns for 459 yards and another score in 17 games during the 2024 campaign.
ANALYSIS
Dallas took advantage of the NFL's new dynamic kickoff, reeling off a 98-yard TD return in a Week 1 loss at Buffalo. He was contained to special teams through Week 8, but as injuries took a toll on the backfield down the stretch, he earned touches in each of the last four contests. He's under contract through 2026, but with James Conner (knee), 2024 third-rounder Trey Benson (ankle) and Emari Demercado (back) also on the books, Dallas should remain primarily a special teamer during the upcoming season.
Dec 22, 2024
Active Sunday
Dallas (illness) is listed as active Sunday at Carolina, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas came down with an illness late during Week 16 prep and didn't practice Friday, but it won't stop him from being available to the Cardinals offense this weekend. The backfield won't have the services of Emari Demercado (back, IR) or Trey Benson (ankle, inactive) on Sunday, so Dallas and the elevated Michael Carter will be the RB options behind starter James Conner. Dallas has eight carries for 27 yards on the season.
Dec 20, 2024
Questionable due to illness
Dallas didn't practice Friday due to an illness and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Carolina, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cardinals placed running back Emari Demercado (back) on injured reserve last week and now won't have position mate Trey Benson (ankle) available for Week 16. That left Dallas as the only other RB on the active roster aside from starter James Conner, but the former now is under the weather two days before a game. If Dallas isn't able to suit up Sunday, Michael Carter and Tony Jones are eligible to be elevated from the practice squad, but such transactions will need to occur by Saturday afternoon.
Dec 20, 2024
Set for backup role behind Conner
Dallas is one of two healthy running backs on Arizona's 53-man roster as of Friday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas stepped in as the backup last week with Emari Demercado (back) on injured reserve and Trey Benson then suffering an ankle injury. Benson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Carolina, leaving only Dallas on the active roster behind workhorse starter James Conner. Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon didn't say Friday if he plans to call up Michael Carter and/or Tony Jones from the practice squad before Sunday. Either way, Dallas doesn't figure to get many touches on offense unless Conner suffers an injury or the game becomes a blowout.
Dec 16, 2024
Earns four carries Sunday
Dallas turned four carries into 15 yards during Sunday's 30-17 victory against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Emari Demercado's (back) placement on injured reserve Saturday set up Dallas for his third outing of the season with offensive snaps, and rookie third-round pick Trey Benson also exited early due to an ankle injury, allowing Dallas to double up his touch count so far on the campaign. Overall, though, Dallas is averaging 3.4 yards on his eight rushes and hasn't been targeted in 14 appearances. Even if Benson is inhibited or inactive this coming Sunday at Carolina, Dallas likely wouldn't see much work behind workhorse RB James Conner.
Dec 10, 2024
Plays strictly special teams Week 15
Dallas played all 19 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 30-18 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Dallas carried three times for 10 yards on the Cardinals' final drive of a 31-6 blowout win over the Jets in Week 10, but he hasn't seen any snaps on offense in any of the Cardinals' three games following a Week 11 bye. He'll likely remain relegated strictly to special teams over the final four contests of the season so long as all of James Conner, Trey Benson and Emari Demercado are available.
Nov 3, 2024
Questionable to return
Dallas is considered questionable to return to Sunday's game versus the Bears due to a shin injury, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
ANALYSIS
The severity of Dallas' shin injury is unknown at this time. If he is unable to return, his absence is not expected to impact Arizona's offense, as he is primarily a special teams contributor.
Oct 23, 2024
Role contained to special teams
Dallas gained 23 yards on his lone kickoff return in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Dallas is the fourth running back on Arizona's depth chart behind James Conner, Emari Demercado and Trey Benson, and with all three players above him enjoying good health thus far, the Cardinals haven't needed Dallas' services on offense. All 106 of the snaps Dallas has played this season have come on special teams, where he's settled in as Arizona's top kickoff returner. Through seven games, Dallas has brought back 12 kicks for 378 yards and a touchdown, which came back in the season-opening loss to the Bills.
Mar 12, 2024
Lands in desert
Dallas is set to sign a contract with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas will stay in the NFC West after a four-year start to his career in Seattle. The 25-year-old is better known for his work as a return man than in the backfield as a running back, and will likely be working to hold down return duties in Arizona.
Jan 9, 2024
Effective returner in 2023
Dallas rushed 16 times for 36 yards and caught six of nine targets for 26 yards across 17 games during the 2023 season. He returned 25 punts for 265 yards and 17 kicks for 440 yards (25.9 yards per return).
ANALYSIS
Dallas finished 10th in the league among players with at least 15 punt returns with 10.6 yards per return, and he landed seventh among players with at least 15 kick returns with 25.9 yards per return. He's slated to be a free agent in March. Dallas could stick around with the Seahawks, but he'll have limited offensive impact as long as Kenneth Walker and/or Zach Charbonnet are healthy.
Dec 19, 2023
Left out of offensive rotation
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Monday's 20-17 win over the Eagles. He returned one punt for seven yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was left out of the offensive rotation for the fourth time this season, as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet handled all the reps in Week 15. The fourth-year running back continues to be useful as a returner, but he's off fantasy radars until further notice.
Dec 11, 2023
One offensive snap in loss
Dallas didn't record a touch in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the 49ers. He returned two kicks for 53 yards and one punt for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
Kenneth Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) were both active in this contest, so Dallas logged just one offensive snap. He'll remain the No. 3 running back until further notice.
Dec 1, 2023
Largest workload of 2023
Dallas rushed once for six yards and didn't haul in either of his two targets in Thursday's 41-35 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Dallas logged 25 offensive snaps in Week 13 because Kenneth Walker (oblique) was out and Zach Charbonnet (knee) left in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Charbonnet's knee injury is being described as a bruise, and he'll have 10 days to recover. It's unclear if Walker will be ready for the Week 14 clash against the 49ers, though. If one of Charbonnet or Walker is healthy, we shouldn't expect much out of Dallas for fantasy purposes.
Nov 24, 2023
Puts up 15 yards in loss
Dallas rushed twice for 10 yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Thursday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers. He also muffed a punt that the 49ers recovered.
ANALYSIS
Dallas drew in as the No. 2 running back behind rookie Zach Charbonnet because Kenneth Walker (oblique) was inactive. However, Charbonnet drew a workhorse assignment while Dallas recorded just eight offensive snaps. It's unclear if Walker will be ready for the Week 13 matchup versus the Cowboys, but regardless, Dallas won't have much fantasy utility.
Nov 20, 2023
Churns out 14 yards
Dallas rushed once for four yards and caught his lone target for 10 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Rams. He also returned two punts for 25 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas played his first offensive snaps since Week 7 because Kenneth Walker left in the first half with an oblique injury. Rookie Zach Charbonnet was the clear workhorse following Walker's injury, turning 15 carries into 47 yards and catching all six of his targets for 22 yards. It sounds like Walker is trending in the wrong direction ahead of Thursday's matchup against the 49ers, and if he does sit out, Dallas will factor in as the No. 2 running back behind Charbonnet again.
Nov 13, 2023
No offensive work in win
Dallas didn't log an offensive snap in Sunday's 29-26 win over the Commanders. He returned two punts for 14 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas battled a shoulder injury during the practice week, but that's probably not the reason he was left out of the offensive rotation. After all, the fourth-year running back hasn't played an offensive snap since Week 7, as rookie Zach Charbonnet has claimed an increased role in the offense instead.
Nov 12, 2023
Ready to suit up Sunday
Dallas (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against Washington.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was a limited participant during practice Week 10 as he tended to a shoulder injury. The 25-year-old will now be ready to play his ninth game for the Seahawks this season, though he's largely been invisible on offense during the team's previous eight contests. Expect Dallas to contribute primarily on special teams while adding depth behind running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
Nov 10, 2023
Questionable for Week 10
Dallas (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's Week 10 game against the Commanders, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas hasn't played an offensive snap since Week 7 and has touched the ball just nine times for 25 scoreless yards. He was able to get in some limited practice reps this week. Dallas mainly plays on special teams.
Nov 9, 2023
Practices Thursday
Dallas (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session,John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The running back and punt returner hurt his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Dallas' status in Friday's practice should help determine whether he plays Sunday against the Commanders. As a running back, Dallas has five carries for 14 yards and four catches for 11 yards this season.
Nov 8, 2023
Misses practice, will try to play
Dallas (shoulder) sat out practice Wednesday, but head coach Pete Carroll said that the running back will try to play Sunday versus Washington, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas hurt his shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Ravens and needed help getting off the field after a punt. Carroll said Monday that the 25-year-old was still "pretty sore," but the coach then said Wednesday that Dallas was "bouncing around" while catching punts and running around during Wednesday's walkthrough. Dallas will try to play Week 10 against the Commanders, and if he's able to do so he should again serve as the Seahawks' primary punt returner.
Nov 6, 2023
Feeling sore Monday
Head coach Pete Carroll indicated Monday that Dallas (shoulder) is "pretty sore," but he is still optimistic of his chances to get back, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
Carroll also stated the team will take a wait-and-see approach in regards to the injury as the week progresses, according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. Dallas saw 13 special teams snaps (50 percent) prior to exiting Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Nov 5, 2023
Questionable to return
Dallas suffered a right shoulder injury during Sunday's game against the Ravens and is questionable to return, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
The running back needed trainer assistance to get off the field after a punt, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. Dallas returned two punts for nine yards before exiting. The fourth-year pro has played more on special teams than on offense in 2023.
Oct 30, 2023
No offensive snaps in win
Dallas didn't log an offensive snap in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns. He totaled 15 yards on two punt returns.
ANALYSIS
Dallas lost his kick-return duties in Week 8 with Dee Eskridge returning to the lineup. He has averaged 12.7 yards per punt return this season, which ranks fourth in the league for players with more than 10 returns. He should stay in the lineup but his fantasy utility will be negligible as long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy.
Oct 23, 2023
Held to one catch versus Arizona
Dallas caught his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Cardinals. He also returned a kick for 24 yards and four punts for 47 yards.
ANALYSIS
Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) was inactive, making Dallas the No. 2 running back behind Kenneth Walker. Dallas handled just 14 offensive snaps (23 percent) compared to Walker's 48. The 2020 fourth-round pick continues to impress as a punt returner, but his fantasy utility is negligible as long as either Walker or Charbonnet are healthy.
Oct 22, 2023
Primed for No. 2 role
Dallas is expected to serve as the Seahawks' No. 2 back Sunday against the Cardinals with Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) listed as questionable but not in line to be active for the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Kenneth Walker will remain Seattle's lead back and could take on a slightly larger share of the snaps and touches out of the backfield with his top backup out of the mix, but Charbonnet's expected absence clears the way for Dallas to at least have a change-of-pace role in the offensive game plan. While both Walker and Charbonnet have been available for each of the Seahawks' first five games, Dallas has played single-digit snaps on offense in every contest, recording five carries for 14 yards and three catches for 11 yards during that span.
Oct 18, 2023
Just four snaps on offense Week 6
Dallas hauled in his lone target for minus-1 yard Sunday in the Seahawks' 17-13 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Dallas took the field for just four of the Seahawks' 74 snaps on offense, with starter Kenneth Walker (56 snaps) and Zach Charbonnet (18 snaps) handily outpacing him in playing time. Both Walker and Charbonnet should remain the clear-cut top two options out of the backfield while they're healthy, limiting Dallas to little more than spot duty out of the backfield. Even though the Seahawks don't have much of a need for him on offense, Dallas should continue to avoid the inactive list due to his status as the team's kick and punt returner.
Oct 3, 2023
Four offensive snaps against Giants
Dallas didn't record a touch in Monday's 24-3 win over the Giants. He returned one kick for 30 yards and a punt for 23 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas is averaging 16.4 yards per punt return this season, which ranks fourth in the league among players with at least five attempts. He is barely playing on offense, however, as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet were the only running backs to receive touches Monday.
Sep 25, 2023
Three touches in win
Dallas recorded two carries for seven yards and caught his only target minus-two yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Panthers. He also totaled 55 yards on two kick returns and 41 yards on three punt returns.
ANALYSIS
Dallas has yet to play more nine offensive snaps in a game this season. He has been quite effective as a returner thus far, but his offensive usage will remain limited now that Zach Charbonnet is ramping up as the No. 2 behind Kenneth Walker.
Sep 24, 2023
Will play Sunday
Dallas (illness) is active Sunday against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Dallas popped up on the injury report Friday, but he feels well enough to take the field Sunday. The fourth-year pro hasn't been involved much on offense, but he should continue being the team's No. 1 return man.
Sep 22, 2023
Questionable for Week 3
Dallas (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was a new addition to the injury report Friday, and he won't have much time to get over this illness before the Panthers come to town Sunday. He has only four touches on offense behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet in the backfield through two games, but Dallas has also been operating as the team's top return man on special teams. Tre Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are candidates to return kickoffs and punts, respectively, if Dallas' illness prevents him from suiting up Sunday.
Sep 17, 2023
One carry in win
Dallas rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 37-31 overtime win versus the Lions. He also returned three kicks for 67 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas is settling in as the No. 3 back behind Kenneth Walker and rookie Zach Charbonnet. He's a useful player in hurry-up formations, but his fantasy utility will be negligible as long as Walker and Charbonnet are upright.
Sep 11, 2023
Three touches in opener
Dallas rushed twice for four yards and caught his lone target for 14 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Rams. He also returned one kickoff for 34 yards and one punt for 18 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas and rookie Zach Charbonnet both played 11 offensive snaps. Charbonnet finished with 11 yards on three carries. Dallas and Charbonnet are both fighting for reps behind Kenneth Walker, but Dallas isn't expected to play more than a limited number of passing downs.
Aug 30, 2023
Makes 53-man roster
Dallas earned a spot on the Seahawks' 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
Dallas' role wasn't guaranteed, as he has never played more than 188 snaps in a season through three years in the league. The 2020 fourth-round pick is listed as the team's top kick and punt returner, which helps his job security. As long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy, Dallas likely won't handle many offensive reps.
Aug 11, 2023
Falls flat in preseason start
Dallas rushed twice for one yard and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 24-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Dallas got the start in Seattle's preseason opener but failed to find any running room before giving way to rookie second-round pick Zach Charbonnet, who turned six touches into 28 scrimmage yards. Charbonnet's expected to beat out Dallas for the backup spot behind Kenneth Walker (groin), but Dallas could close the gap if he posts a stronger performance in the second preseason game, which will be against the Cowboys on Aug. 19.
Jan 16, 2023
Best rushing season
Dallas carried 35 times for 186 yards and caught 17 of 19 targets for 126 yards through 15 games during the 2022 season. He also returned 14 punts for 102 yards and 12 kicks for 270 yards.
ANALYSIS
When the whole backfield was healthy, Dallas was often left out of the rotation, but when Rashaad Penny (leg) and Travis Homer (ankle) went down with injuries, Dallas got some run and was effective. After posting 3.2 and 4.2 yards per carry, respectively, through his first two NFL seasons, Dallas logged an efficient 5.3 yards per carry in 2022. Dallas is entering the final year of his contract in 2023 and is a good bet to make the team, especially if Homer and Penny leave in free agency.
Jan 14, 2023
Suiting up in wild-card round
Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) is listed as active Saturday at San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Despite being capped to a pair of limited practices before this wild-card matchup due to ankle and quad injuries, Dallas will be available to the Seahawks offense. With Travis Homer (ankle) on injured reserve, Dallas doesn't have much competition for reps behind starting running back Kenneth Walker, as Godwin Iqwebuike is the only other option that's active Saturday. Over the last three games, such a role has amounted to 11 carries for 82 yards and 10 catches (on 11 targets) for 84 yards and no TDs for Dallas.
Jan 12, 2023
Status in question for Saturday
Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to Seattle handing him a designation, Dallas missed Tuesday's walkthrough before sitting out again Wednesday due to ankle and quadriceps injuries. He's been able to play in each of the past three games with little to no practice reps, and Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reported Tuesday that there's an expectation that Dallas plays this weekend. In the end, Dallas' status will be confirmed, one way or another, about 90 minutes before Saturday's 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's available, he'll be a complementary option in the Seahawks backfield behind starter Kenneth Walker.
Jan 11, 2023
Stays sidelined at practice
Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas has kicked off preparations for Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco with back-to-back listed DNPs, but there's an expectation that he'll be able to suit up this weekend, per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. A return to the practice field Thursday would be a sign in the right direction for Dallas, but Thursday's injury report will reveal as much. If he's active Saturday, he'll serve as the direct backup to Kenneth Walker (ankle) with Travis Homer (ankle) on injured reserve, which has amounted to 21 touches for 166 yards and no TDs for Dallas over the last three outings.
Jan 10, 2023
Sits out first wild-card practice
Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) was listed as a non-participant for Tuesday's walk-through practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Dallas was off the field for the start of prep for Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune relays that the running back is fully expected to suit up this weekend. After Travis Homer (ankle) was moved to injured reserve prior to last week's regular-season finale, Dallas took over as the top change-of-pace option behind lead back Kenneth Walker in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams. Dallas played 11 of the Seahawks' 70 snaps on offense and finished with two carries for 29 yards and one catch for minus-3 yards.
Jan 9, 2023
Minimal role in win
Dallas rushed twice for 29 yards and caught his lone target for a three-yard loss in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams. He also returned two punts for 24 yards.
ANALYSIS
In the must-win game, rookie Kenneth Walker played a whopping 61 offensive snaps while Dallas played just 11 offensive snaps. This may be a peak into how the duo will split reps during the postseason, but Dallas is a skilled pass-catcher that will be useful if the Seahawks fall behind in Saturday's wild-card game versus the 49ers.
Jan 6, 2023
Good to go for Sunday
Dallas (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Even though Kenneth Walker and Dallas both didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, the two running backs will approach the weekend without a designation after both logged some reps during Friday's session. Walker was a full participant in the workout, while Dallas was limited, but the latter still looks like he'll be in strong position to serve as the top change-of-pace option behind the former. Dallas' main competition for the backup role, Travis Homer (ankle), is listed as doubtful and appears likely to miss a second straight game, while the lone other running back on the active roster, Godwin Igwebuike, is typically used on special teams. While Homer was sidelined for last week's win over the Jets, Dallas was productive during his time on the field, carrying seven times for 43 yards and recording three receptions for 55 yards on four targets.
Jan 5, 2023
Another missed practice
Dallas (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
For a second session in a row, Dallas was absent, which also can be said for backfield mates Kenneth Walker (ankle/illness) and Travis Homer (ankle). As such, the Seahawks backfield has question marks with one practice to go this week, some of which may clear up upon the release of Friday's injury report. If Walker continues to be the team's lead runner Sunday versus the Rams, he'll take on most of the RB reps, but Dallas has been able to make an impact over the last two contests, notching 18 touches for 140 yards from scrimmage.
Jan 4, 2023
DNP to begin Week 18 prep
Dallas (ankle) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas sat out Weeks 14 and 15 due to a high-ankle issue, but he's been able to play in both of the last two games, racking up a cumulative nine carries for 53 yards and nine catches (on 10 targets) for 87 yards. His absence to kick off Week 18 prep may be a precaution in order to avoid a setback during practice, but with Kenneth Walker (ankle/illness) and Travis Homer (ankle) also sitting out Wednesday, the Seahawks' backfield situation again is up in the air ahead of Sunday's contest against the Rams.
Jan 1, 2023
Just short of 100 scrimmage yards
Dallas carried the ball seven times for 43 yards and caught three of four targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jers.
ANALYSIS
The running back put together the best game of his career, nearly reaching 100 scrimmage yards for the first time in a game and leading the Seahawks in receiving yards on the day. Dallas remains behind Kenneth Walker on the Seattle depth chart, but both RBs could be productive in Week 18 against a Rams defense that just surrendered 161 scrimmage yards and two rushing TDs to Austin Ekeler.
Dec 30, 2022
Cleared to play again
Dallas (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jets, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas returned from a two-game absence last week and caught six passes for 32 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Chiefs. He's unlikely to see that many targets even if he handles passing downs again, though there is a degree of opportunity with fellow Seattle running backs Kenneth Walker (ankle) and Travis Homer (ankle) listed as questionable. Walker, at least, is expected to play, and he figures to dominate carries again so long as he avoids setbacks with the ankle.
Dec 29, 2022
Remains limited Thursday
Dallas (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was joined by Seattle's No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) as limited after the latter missed Wednesday's session, while Travis Homer (ankle) has yet to practice this week. As a result, Dallas appears to be the better bet to get work behind Walker this Sunday against the Jets, assuming both are active and Homer is inhibited or sidelined. Operating as the No. 2 RB this past Saturday in Kansas City, Dallas turned 46 percent of the snaps into eight touches for 42 yards from scrimmage, which was a distant second to Walker's 53 percent, 28 touches and 105 total yards.
Dec 28, 2022
Limited Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker (ankle) and Travis Homer were held out of drills to begin Week 17 prep. While Dallas seemingly is the healthiest of the running back trio, Walker's listed DNP likely can be chalked up as maintenance to ensure he's as healthy as possible for game day. Dallas was only slightly behind Walker in terms of snaps this past Saturday in Kansas City (35 versus 40 out of 76), but his touch count (eight) was a distant second to the rookie's 28. Even so, Dallas may be the Seahawks' No. 2 RB again this weekend after Homer sprained his ankle Week 16.
Dec 24, 2022
Returns from ankle injury
Dallas (ankle) rushed twice for 10 yards and caught all six of his targets for 32 yards in Saturday's 24-10 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Dallas returned from an ankle injury that cost him two games, promptly reclaiming his role as the team's receiving back behind starter Kenneth Walker (26/107/0). The latter jammed his already banged-up ankle on a couple of runs Saturday, but head coach Pete Carroll confirmed that his starter made it through the game in one piece. If Walker suits up for next Sunday's tilt against the Jets, Dallas would remain a non-factor in fantasy in Week 17.
Dec 24, 2022
Suiting up Saturday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as active Saturday at Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
The same can be said for fellow running back Kenneth Walker, who didn't practice all week due to an ankle injury and what coach Pete Carroll referred to as back spasms. Dallas himself has missed the last two games with a high-ankle issue, something that kept him to limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. While Dallas appears to be healthier than Walker at the moment, an available Walker likely will be the headliner out of Seattle's backfield Saturday, with Travis Homer and Dallas as the reserve options.
Dec 22, 2022
Return likely Saturday
Coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Dallas (ankle) is slated to play Saturday in Kansas City, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas suffered a high-ankle sprain Week 13 at the Rams, which so far has forced two consecutive absences. He was able to get back on the field Wednesday as a limited participant and maintained that activity level Thursday, with the Seahawks listing him as him as questionable for Week 16 action. Carroll expects both Dallas and Kenneth Walker (ankle/back) to be active Saturday, something that'll be confirmed about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If the proceeding comes to pass, Walker almost certainly will lead Seattle's backfield, while Travis Homer and Dallas will be available in reserve roles.
Dec 22, 2022
Questionable for Saturday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Kansas City, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
While the team's No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle/back) didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday, Dallas followed up Tuesday's absence with a limited showing one day later. Dallas thus appears to be in a better spot, health-wise, than Walker heading into the weekend, while Travis Homer is the sole healthy member of the backfield on Seattle's active roster. In the end, the state of the position group will gain some clarity once the Seahawks post their list of inactives about 90 minutes before Saturday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 21, 2022
Returns to practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This marks Dallas' first official on-field work since suffering an injury Week 13 at the Rams that coach Pete Carroll called "somewhat of a high-ankle issue" at the time, per Boyle. Dallas predictably has missed two outings as a result, but his return to drills Wednesday may indicate that game action is possible Saturday at Kansas City. Thursday's injury report could be telling for his chances to do so, which also can be said for the Seahawks' top running back Kenneth Walker (ankle), who has yet to practice this week. After the team waived Tony Jones on Wednesday, Travis Homer is the only healthy member of the backfield on the active roster.
Dec 20, 2022
Non-participant at walkthrough
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas has been sidelined for the Seahawks' previous two games and is in danger of missing a third. He will presumably need to get in some work at practice this week in order to get the green light for Saturday's game against the Chiefs. No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker (ankle) was also a non-participant Tuesday, which leaves Travis Homer and Tony Jones as the only health backs on the depth chart as of now.
Dec 15, 2022
Sitting out again Thursday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as inactive Thursday against the 49ers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After not practicing at all during Week 15 prep, Dallas will miss a second consecutive game due to an ankle injury. With Kenneth Walker (ankle) back in action after sitting out this past Sunday against the Panthers and Tony Jones a healthy scratch Thursday, Travis Homer and Godwin Igwebuike will be the candidates to get reps behind the workhorse running back. Dallas' next chance to play is Saturday, Dec. 24 at Kansas City.
Dec 14, 2022
Questionable for TNF
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
His status is of less interest for fantasy now that Kenneth Walker (ankle) doesn't have a game designation. Dallas and Walker both missed Sunday's loss to Carolina, in which Travis Homer played 91 percent of offensive snaps yet had only 11 touches.
Dec 13, 2022
Sits out another practice
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas seemingly isn't trending toward a return from a one-game absence to play in Thursday's game against the 49ers, as he hasn't taken any reps in either of Seattle's first two Week 15 sessions. On a positive note for the Seahawks, Kenneth Walker (ankle) --who joined Dallas on the sideline for the Week 14 loss to the Panthers -- put in a full practice Tuesday and appears to be trending toward a return Thursday. Walker looks poised to reclaim a lead role out of the backfield against San Francisco, leaving Travis Homer to be unchallenged for change-of-pace work if Dallas ends up missing a second straight game.
Dec 12, 2022
DNP on practice estimate
Dallas (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Like he was last week before not playing Sunday against the Panthers, Dallas wouldn't have practiced Monday if the Seahawks had held a session. At the same time, Kenneth Walker was tabbed as limited Monday, a notable sign of progress in his own recovery from an ankle injury. Walker thus is a step ahead of Dallas, while Travis Homer and Tony Jones sidestepped the first report of Week 15 entirely. Dallas will have two more opportunities to log some listed activity before the Seahawks potentially make a call on his availability for Thursday's game versus the 49ers.
Dec 11, 2022
Not playing Sunday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
With Dallas joining top running back Kenneth Walker on the Seahawks' inactive list for Week 14, some combination of Travis Homer, Tony Jones and Godwin Igwebuike will cover for them out of the team's backfield Sunday. Dallas and Walker now will set their sights on gaining clearance to play again Thursday versus the 49ers, with injury reports Monday through Wednesday potentially revealing whether or not they have a chance to suit up Week 15.
Dec 10, 2022
Not expected to play Sunday
Dallas (ankle) isn't in line to play Sunday versus the Panthers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same can be said for the Seahawks' top running back Kenneth Walker (ankle), according to Fowler. While both are game-time decisions, Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff isn't exactly appealing for managers looking for alternatives. Assuming Walker and Dallas are included among the team's inactives, Seattle will be down to Travis Homer, Tony Jones and practice-squad member Godwin Igwebuike in Week 14.
Dec 10, 2022
Officially questionable for Sunday
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus Carolina, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Pete Carroll said Friday that Dallas and fellow tailback Kenneth Walker were both considered to be game-day decisions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Seattle also activated Godwin Igwebuike from its practice squad to the active roster Saturday, signaling that the team believes there's a good chance one of either Walker or Dallas won't be available Sunday. If both sit out, Travis Homer would figure to take up workhorse duties in Week 14 against an exploitable Panthers run defense. If available with Walker out, Dallas would figure to start at running back.
Dec 9, 2022
Game-time decision for Week 14
Head coach Pete Carroll said that Dallas (ankle), who is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Panthers, is considered a game-day decision, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas and lead back Kenneth Walker (ankle) were both labeled as game-day decisions after failing to practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday. The lack of practice activity doesn't bode well for Dallas' chances of playing against Carolina, but the Seahawks will presumably wait and see how he feels after an early workout Sunday before making a call on his status ahead of the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Given that he's handled a three-down workload since Rashaad Penny (ankle/fibula) landed on injured reserve ahead of Week 6 action, Walker's status is of more significance to fantasy managers than Dallas, who has mostly served as a lightly-used change-of-pace option this season. Even if Walker is inactive for the contest and if Dallas is cleared to play, Dallas may still likely find himself in a messy committee that could include Travis Homer, Tony Jones and a potential practice-squad call-up.
Dec 9, 2022
Status uncertain for Week 14
Dallas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Seattle could be shorthanded in the backfield this weekend, as both Dallas and lead option Kenneth Walker are carrying questionable tags into Sunday after both players' ankle injuries kept them off the practice field Wednesday through Friday, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Walker's status warrants more intrigue for fantasy purposes, but Dallas could be in store for more work than usual if he plays and the rookie doesn't. As the Seattle backfield currently stands, Travis Homer and Tony Jones are the healthy options, though the Seahawks would likely elevate another back from the practice squad Saturday if there's any concern that neither Walker nor Dallas will be available Week 14.
Dec 8, 2022
Still no activity at practice
Dallas (ankle) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Both Dallas and Kenneth Walker haven't mixed into drills through two opportunities to do so during Week 14 prep as they deal with their respective recoveries from ankle injuries. At the same time, Travis Homer (knee) went from limited Wednesday to all activity Thursday, making him the best bet of the trio to be available to the Seahawks backfield Sunday versus the Panthers. Friday's injury report may include a ruling on the statuses of Walker and Dallas ahead of the weekend.
Dec 7, 2022
No practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) won't participant in practice Wednesday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Pete Carroll relayed as much, including Kenneth Walker (ankle) on the list of non-participants among Seahawks running backs. Meanwhile, both Travis Homer (knee) and Tony Jones will take part in some capacity to begin Week 14 prep. There's no telling who among those four will be available Sunday against the Panthers, but Dallas' reported high-ankle issue seemingly doesn't have him in a great spot to suit up, which could be confirmed as soon as the release of Friday's injury report.
Dec 5, 2022
Has ankle injury
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Dallas has "somewhat of a high ankle issue," John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas worked as Seattle's leading rusher during Sunday's win over the Rams, a contest which he managed to close out despite injuring his ankle on the final play before halftime. Kenneth Walker (ankle) left the game in the second quarter but isn't ruled out for Week 14 after undergoing an MRI on Monday, while Travis Homer (knee) was inactive Sunday. Given the backfield uncertainty heading into a Week 14 matchup against Carolina, fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on Dallas' health.
Dec 4, 2022
Leading rusher in Sunday's win
Dallas carried the ball 10 times for 37 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks' backfield was a revolving door, as Kenneth Walker left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury, only for Dallas to get shaken up on the final play before halftime. That left Tony Jones as the last man standing at running back for Seattle, but when Jones exited on the second drive of the second half after taking a hard hit, Dallas checked back in and the duo split snaps the rest of the way. Dallas wound up leading the team in rushing yards, and he could see a significant role in Week 14 against the Panthers depending on the health of Walker and Travis Homer (knee), who was inactive Sunday.
Nov 28, 2022
Three touches in loss
Dallas rushed once for two yards and caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 40-34 overtime loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Dallas ended up with nine offensive snaps, trailing rookie Kenneth Walker (46) and Travis Homer (13). As long as Walker is healthy, Dallas -- who has averaged 1.9 touches per game -- won't have much fantasy value.
Nov 7, 2022
Minimal action in win
Dallas rushed once for four yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Cardinals. He also returned three punts for 23 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas handled just two offensive snaps in the divisional win, as Kenneth Walker (54) and Travis Homer (20) handled a bulk of the workload. As long as Walker and Homer are healthy, Dallas will have minimal fantasy value.
Oct 31, 2022
Works as No. 3 back
Dallas didn't record an offensive touch in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He did return two punts for 16 yards.
ANALYSIS
Travis Homer returned from injured reserve in Week 8 and took over the No. 2 role, meaning Dallas handled just five offensive snaps. As long as Homer and Kenneth Walker are healthy, Dallas won't have dependable fantasy utility.
Oct 24, 2022
Efficient runner in win
Dallas rushed six times for 35 yards and caught both of his targets for six yards in Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Dallas logged 19 snaps in Week 7 and touched the ball eight times, but rookie second-round running back Kenneth Walker stole the show with 168 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Walker will be the clearcut No. 1 running back as long as he's upright. Dallas has some fantasy utility as insurance in case Walker gets hurt, but Travis Homer's (ribs) eventual return will reduce Dallas' value further.
Oct 17, 2022
Two carries in win
Dallas rushed twice for one yard in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
With Rashaad Penny (leg) out for the season, Dallas operated as the No. 2 back behind rookie second-round pick Kenneth Walker, who logged 23 times for 110 yards and a touchdown. Dallas was on the field for 23 of 68 offensive snaps while Walker handled 47 snaps. In Week 7 against the Chargers, Dallas should remain the No. 2 back, but he could get bumped out of that role once Travis Homer (ribs) returns from injured reserve.
Oct 10, 2022
Records 10 yards
Dallas rushed once for four yards and caught his lone target for six yards in Sunday's 39-32 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Rashaad Penny left the game with a leg injury in the first half and didn't return. Rookie Kenneth Walker ended up leading the backfield with 30 offensive snaps, which he turned into eight carries for 88 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Dallas handled just 10 snaps. Penny is expected to miss the rest of the season, so Dallas should have an expanded role moving forward, especially in passing situations. However, Travis Homer (ribs) can return in Week 7 and may operate as the No. 2 back behind Walker.
Oct 3, 2022
No touches Sunday
Dallas didn't record a touch in the 48-45 win over the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Rashaad Penny rumbled for 151 yards on 17 touches, and rookie Kenneth Walker recorded 24 total yards on nine touches, leaving little work for Dallas. Going forward, Dallas will be the No. 3 running back until Travis Homer (ribs) returns from injured reserve, which will be Oct. 30 against the Giants, at the earliest.
Sep 26, 2022
Posts 38 yards
Dallas rushed three times for 21 yards and caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons. He also returned two kicks for 52 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas recorded a season-high 15 offensive snaps because Travis Homer (ribs) left early. If Homer misses any time, Dallas will continue to handle an increased role, specifically on passing downs. However, Rashaad Penny is still the No. 1 back and will be the Seahawks running back to target for the time being.
Sep 13, 2022
No offensive looks
Dallas returned three kicks for 77 yards in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Dallas played just three offensive snaps and didn't record a touch. He'll continue to take kick returns and make an impact on special teams, but his offensive role will be limited, especially once rookie Kenneth Walker (hernia) returns.
Aug 27, 2022
Big night in preseason finale
Dallas carried the ball 13 times for 75 yards and a touchdown and caught both his targets for nine yards in Friday's preseason game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The third-year player was the second running back into the game for Seattle after Travis Homer, and while the duo split the workload through the first half, Dallas got the first possession of the second half to himself and made the most of it, racking up most of his rushing production and capping the drive with a one-yard TD plunge. Despite the big performance, he will likely head into the regular season No. 4 on the backfield depth chart, but Dallas could still have a role in the offense Week 1 if either Kenneth Walker (abdomen) or Rashaad Penny (COVID-19) are still less than 100 percent.
Aug 19, 2022
Leading receiver Thursday
Dallas rushed five times for 15 yards and caught four of five targets for 52 yards in Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Dallas couldn't get going on the ground like his backfield mate Travis Homer, who carried five times for 44 yards. The two both have a good chance to make the roster, especially because Kenneth Walker (hernia) is suddenly uncertain for Week 1. However, Homer has been handling more reps with the first-team offense during the preseason, and his pass-blocking acumen gives him the edge over Dallas.
Aug 14, 2022
Effective in second half
Dallas rushed 10 times for 73 yards and caught his lone target for a 17-yard touchdown in Saturday's 32-25 preseason loss to the Steelers. He also returned two kicks for 41 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas didn't play on offense until the second half, as he was the third Seahawks running back to take the field after rookie Kenneth Walker and Travis Homer. As it stands, Dallas and Homer are competing for the No. 3 running back spot, which will focus mostly on third downs, and Homer seemingly has the edge because of his pass-blocking ability. Fantasy managers shouldn't depend on either back, however, as Walker and Rashaad Penny (groin) should take a bulk of the workload when healthy.
Jul 27, 2022
Aiming for third-down duties
Dallas is expected to compete with Travis Homer for a third-down role following news that Chris Carson (neck) will retire, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas rushed 33 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in 21 of 23 targets for 133 yards last season. However, he has out-snapped by Homer because the latter is a more dependable pass blocker while being a formidable pass catcher as well. The two will likely rotate in the backfield on passing downs, though neither running back should be counted on for fantasy purposes as long as Rashaad Penny and Kenneth Walker are active.
Jan 12, 2022
Rarely utilized on offense in 2021
Dallas finished the 2021 season with 33 carries for 138 yards and two touchdowns and 21 catches (23 targets) for 133 yards through 17 games. He also recorded 764 yards on 33 kick returns.
ANALYSIS
Dallas played more than 40 percent of the offensive snaps just twice this season, and he averaged a mere 8.9 snaps per game. The second-year running back had a chance to secure an increased role when Chris Carson (neck) and Alex Collins (abdomen) suffered injuries. Instead, Rashaad Penny burst onto the scene over the final five weeks with 671 rushing yards (7.3 YPC) and six rushing touchdowns. Penny will be an unrestricted free agent in March but could be re-signed by the Seahawks, and Carson is expected to be back for training camp. Even if both Penny and Carson are out of the picture, the Seahawks will almost certainly bring in competition for Dallas and Travis Homer.
Jan 5, 2022
Practices fully Wednesday
Dallas (quadriceps) was a full practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas came out of the Seahawks' Week 17 win against the Lions with a bruised thigh, but it was revised to a quad issue upon the release of Wednesday's injury report. With an uncapped session under his belt, he seems to be past the health concern. In any case, Dallas' touches have been sporadic working behind Rashaad Penny over the last five games, including 15 carries and seven catches on his way to 107 yards from scrimmage and one rushing score.
Jan 2, 2022
Suffers thigh bruise
Dallas picked up a thigh bruise in Sunday's 51-29 win over the Lions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas rushed once for one yard and returned a pair of kickoffs for 48 yards before getting injured. Rashaad Penny has dominated touches in Seattle's backfield lately and racked up 170 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in this one. If Dallas suits up for next week's season finale against Arizona, he'll likely split change-of-pace duties behind Penny with Travis Homer.
Dec 27, 2021
Snags four passes in loss
Dallas rushed four times for 15 yards and caught all four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
After handling a timeshare with Rashaad Penny last week and finding the end zone, Dallas took a backseat to Penny on Sunday. Dallas ran ahead of Travis Homer, who was activated off the COVID-19 list Saturday, and it's possible Homer takes the No. 2 role once he gets a full week of practice under his belt. However, Penny looks like the clear-cut starter for the final two regular-season games. It's worth noting that head coach Pete Carroll made Alex Collins a healthy scratch this week, as it appears he's giving the young running backs a chance to audition for a larger role in 2022.
Dec 22, 2021
Finds end zone in loss
Dallas rushed eight times for 41 yards and a touchdown while catching three of four targets for 11 more yards in Tuesday's 20-10 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dallas appeared to have fallen out of favor after seeing just two touches last week while Rashaad Penny dominated on the ground. Head coach Pete Carroll reverted to a timeshare between the two backs, and Dallas turned out to be the better option from a fantasy perspective. Penny figures to see more action in games that the Seahawks either go up early in or dominate the time of possession in. That being said, Dallas may find himself seeing less usage in a matchup against the lowly Bears on Sunday.
Dec 21, 2021
Slated for change-of-pace role
Dallas is expected to serve as the top backup behind starting running back Rashaad Penny in Tuesday's game against the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Seattle elevated Josh Johnson from the practice squad to give the backfield a third option, but there aren't any other threats to the No. 2 role after Alex Collins (illness) and Travis Homer (illness) weren't reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list for the Week 15 contest. Adrian Peterson (lower back) wasn't promoted from the practice squad either, so unless the Seahawks are willing to give Johnson his first NFL snaps, Dallas looks like he'll be the top change-of-pace option. Look for Dallas to see most of his reps on passing downs, where Homer has typically replaced Peterson, Collins and Penny this season.
Dec 13, 2021
Carries twice in win
Dallas rushed twice for 16 yards in Sunday's 33-13 win over the Texans. He also returned two kicks for 41 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas recorded just 10 offensive snaps even though Travis Homer (calf) was out of the lineup, finishing behind Rashaad Penny (35) and Alex Collins (14). He's highly valuable for the Seahawks on special teams, but fantasy managers don't need to keep tabs on him unless Penny or Collins is injured.
Dec 6, 2021
Minimal usage in win
Dallas didn't record a touch in Sunday's 30-23 win over the 49ers. He returned five kicks for 133 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas logged just two offensive snaps while Rashaad Penny, Travis Homer and Adrian Peterson all played at least 18 snaps. However, Dallas had his best game as a returner this season. With Alex Collins (abdomen) expected to return next week against the Texans, Dallas isn't expected to get much tread on offense.
Nov 30, 2021
Makes five grabs
Dallas rushed three times for four yards and caught all five of his targets for 27 yards in Monday night's 17-15 loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
Dallas saw starting tailback Alex Collins lose a fumble in the first half, which along with Seattle trailing later worked in his favor. Although Dallas wasn't particularly productive from a yardage standpoint, he still tied for the team lead in receptions, catching everything thrown his way. Given the Seahawks' banged-up backfield, Collins' underwhelming play and Dallas' presence as a pass-catcher within a struggling offense, his stock is trending in the right direction ahead of Week 13's divisional game versus the 49ers.
Nov 27, 2021
Could have significant role
Dallas is ready for a role in Monday's game at Washington, joining Alex Collins in the Seattle backfield with Rashaad Penny (hamstring) and Travis Homer (calf) ruled out, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas took over the passing-down role from Homer last week and finished with five touches for 27 yards and a TD on 37 percent of snaps in the 23-13 loss to Arizona. With Homer and Penny set to be inactive Monday night and Collins extremely limited as a pass catcher, Dallas should play a good number of snaps, potentially even getting more playing time than Collins if the Seahawks find themselves chasing a deficit again. That said, Collins has been the lead runner for nearly two months now, and while he hasn't had much luck in the role, it does probably give him better TD odds than Dallas, along with a higher workload floor. Josh Johnson likely will be called up from the practice squad to serve as the No. 3 back Monday night.
Nov 22, 2021
Scores in divisional loss
Dallas rushed four times for 25 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass (two targets) for two yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Cardinals. He also recorded 20 yards on the kick return.
ANALYSIS
Rashaad Penny left the game early with a hamstring injury, and Dallas handled a 37 percent snap share. He scored his first touchdown of the season and was more efficient than Alex Collins (10 carries, 36 yards). If Penny misses time, Dallas could handle increased duties moving forward, though Travis Homer will compete for a similar role.
Nov 1, 2021
Minimal usage in win
Dallas rushed once for six yards in Sunday's 31-7 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Dallas handled just two offensive snaps. The second-year running back has played more than three offensive snaps just twice this season, but he continues to make an impact on the kick return. Barring a slew of injuries, Dallas' role isn't expected to change.
Oct 26, 2021
One offensive snap
Dallas didn't record a touch in Monday's 13-10 loss to the Saints. He recorded 53 yards on the kick return.
ANALYSIS
Alex Collins and Rashaad Penny handled a bulk of the workload, and Dallas logged just one offensive snap. His main usage is as a kick returner unless either Collins or Penny goes down with an injury again.
Oct 18, 2021
Solid effort in loss
Dallas carried four times for 17 yards and caught all five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Dallas logged 22 offensive snaps, finishing behind Alex Collins (33) but comfortably ahead of Travis Homer (five), who registered 54 yards on three touches. Collins is uncertain for the Week 7 matchup against the Saints due to a hip injury, so Dallas could take on a larger role. However, Rashaad Penny (calf) is expected to return while Homer should still handle some passing-down work. Still, if Collins sits out, Dallas should be the temporary lead back considering it will be Penny's first game action since Week 1.
Oct 8, 2021
Tallies 39 yards
Dallas rushed four times for seven yards and caught both targets for 32 yards in Thursday's 26-17 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Alex Collins was the clear lead back with a 74 percent snap share, but Dallas out-snaped of Travis Homer 14-8. Dallas was even in the game during the two-minute drill at the end of the second quarter. The second-year running back could remain a part of the game plan if Chris Carson (neck) can't return next week against the Steelers. However, Dallas logged just four offensive snaps over the first four games before Carson's injury.
Oct 7, 2021
Could mix in Thursday
Dallas could handle some offensive work in Thursday's game versus the Rams following news that Chris Carson (neck) is inactive.
ANALYSIS
Alex Collins is expected to operate as the lead back after rushing 10 times for 44 yards and a touchdown and catching two passes (two targets) for 34 yards in Sunday's win over the 49ers. Travis Homer still has a firm grasp on the passing down work. However, Carson's absence could open the door slightly for Dallas, who has logged just four offensive snaps this season. Dallas should still be the No. 3 in this rotation.
Sep 27, 2021
Stays out of offensive game plan
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Vikings, but he did one kick for 21 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dallas isn't handling any offensive work even though Rashaad Penny (calf) is out of the lineup. Penny could return in Week 4 against the 49ers, so Dallas can be safely left off fantasy rosters.
Sep 20, 2021
No offensive work Sunday
Dallas didn't record an offensive snap in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Chris Carson (34), Travis Homer (14) and Alex Collins (six) handled all the backfield snaps. Dallas recorded 30 yards on three kick returns. He doesn't have a clear path to backfield reps barring an injury ahead of him on the depth chart.
Sep 13, 2021
Just three offensive snaps Sunday
Dallas rushed once for five yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was one of four running backs to suit up for the season opener, as Alex Collins was a healthy scratch. However, even when Rashaad Penny left with a calf injury, Dallas finished with just three offensive snaps. Travis Homer logged two, and Chris Carson managed a whopping 42 (78 percent). Dallas and Homer likely have minimal fantasy value as long as Carson is upright.
Sep 1, 2021
Survives cutdown day
Dallas was one of five running backs to make the Seahawks' 53-man roster, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas may be the Seahawks' best route runner out of the backfield, and his preseason work as a returner likely helped guarantee him a role on the 53-man roster. However, he'll still struggle to earn much playing time on offense, as Travis Homer is considered the team's best pass-blocking running back while Rashaad Penny and Alex Collins are the next men up behind Chris Carson.
Aug 22, 2021
Impresses as returner
Dallas caught all three of his targets for 27 yards and returned two kicks for 73 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Dallas didn't run the ball at all, but he showed flashes as a pass-catcher and a returner. The Seahawks likely won't provide Dallas with much backfield work as long as both Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny are healthy. However, his impact on special teams -- he blocked a punt Saturday as well -- and his pass-catching abilities make him a strong candidate for the No. 3 role. Alex Collins and Travis Homer (calf) are his primary competition.
Aug 15, 2021
Stands out in preseason loss
Dallas rushed five times for 24 yards, secured both of his targets for 45 yards and a touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for 55 yards in the Seahawks' 20-7 preseason loss to the Raiders on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The University of Miami product made an excellent impression in his bid to win the third-down back role, with his 43-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter offering a tangible reminder of his pass-catching acumen. Dallas easily outshined one of his primary competitors in Alex Collins during Saturday night's game, while Travis Homer (calf) remains on the PUP list and is therefore missing out on opportunities to make his own case for the job. Dallas will look to put together a successful encore to Saturday's effort in the Seattle's second preseason contest against the Broncos next Saturday.
Aug 4, 2021
Competing for third-down role
Dallas could land the third-down role if his pass-blocking skills show improvement, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As long as Chris Carson is healthy, Dallas likely won't receive many carries. Even if Carson gets hurt, both Rashaad Penny and Alex Collins will likely take over a good chunk of the ground game. Dallas is likely the best route runner in the backfield, however, his pass-blocking skills weren't good enough last year to warrant much playing time. As it stands, Travis Homer (calf) likely still has the edge on third downs because he has adequately protected Russell Wilson in the past, but Homer's currently on the preseason PUP list, opening the door for Dallas to secure a heightened role.
Jul 1, 2021
In the mix for backup job
Dallas will compete with Rashaad Penny, Travis Homer and Alex Collins for depth roles behind Chris Carson in the Seattle backfield, Brandon Gustafson of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
A fourth-round pick last spring, Dallas finished his rookie year with 34/108/2 on the ground and 17/111/1 on 20 targets, playing 12 of 16 regular-season games. He even made starts in Weeks 8 and 9 when both Carson and Carlos Hyde (now with Jacksonville) were injured, with those two games accounting for all three TDs on the year. However, Dallas managed just 72 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards between the two starts, and averaged only 3.2 YPC for the year. He could now compete with Penny and Collins for carries off the bench, while Homer is the top competition for playing time on passing downs.
Jan 11, 2021
Minimal usage as rookie
Dallas carried 34 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns and caught 17 of 20 targets for 111 yards and a touchdown over 12 games in the 2020 season.
ANALYSIS
Dallas started Weeks 8 and 9 because both Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde were out with injuries, and he produced 97 yards from scrimmage and three total scores between those two games. When Carson and Hyde were healthy this year, Dallas was often left out of the game plan or scratched. His 3.2 yards per carry isn't exciting, but the Seahawks favored Dallas over Travis Homer in the run game. Dallas' projection for next season can't be determined until we know if Carson and Hyde -- both players will be free agents in March -- will return.
Jan 9, 2021
Inactive for Saturday
Dallas is listed as inactive for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
While it is unclear as to why Dallas is listed as inactive as his ankle seems to be fully recovered, the 22-year-old will not suit up for Saturday. Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde will continue to lead the backfield as the Seahawks take on the Rams.
Jan 6, 2021
Full speed ahead
Dallas (ankle) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas is back to full speed less than three weeks removed from suffering a Grade 3 ankle sprain. The rookie fourth-rounder will be available for Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams, but he'll likely stick to a special-teams role, as both Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny are also healthy. The trio will serve in a change-of-pace role behind bell cow Chris Carson (foot).
Jan 5, 2021
Logs limited session
Dallas (ankle) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas practiced for the first time since suffering a Grade 3 ankle sprain in Week 15. The Seahawks won't rush the rookie back because they have enough backfield depth now that Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny are both healthy ahead of Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams. Chris Carson (foot) will command a lion's share of the workload even if Dallas does suit up.
Jan 1, 2021
Sitting out Week 17
Dallas (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas will miss a second straight game. Carlos Hyde (illness) is also questionable with flu-like symptoms. Chris Carson is set to lead the Seahawks' backfield in the season finale, and Rashaad Penny should serve as the No. 2 if Hyde is ultimately ruled out.
Dec 31, 2020
Absent from another practice
Dallas (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas appears unlikely to play in the season finale against the 49ers. It's unclear how the Seahawks' backfield will shape up in Week 17, as every running back on the active roster is on the injury report. Both Dallas and Carlos Hyde (illness) missed practice Thursday, while Chris Carson (foot) and Rashaad Penny (knee) both were limited participants.
Dec 30, 2020
Unable to practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas is recovering from the Grade 3 ankle sprain he suffered in the Week 15 win over Washington; it seems unlikely that he plays in the season finale against the 49ers. With Carlos Hyde's (illness) status uncertain as well, Rashaad Penny could see some additional work behind Chris Carson (foot) on Sunday.
Dec 25, 2020
Unavailable Sunday
Dallas (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old sustained a Grade 3 ankle sprain during last week's win over Washington, so it's no surprise to see him ruled out this weekend. Dallas may also be sidelined for the final game of the regular season next week. Rashaad Penny should continue to work as Seattle's No. 3 running back down the stretch.
Dec 24, 2020
Sits out Thursday's practice
Dallas (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas emerged from this past Sunday's win at Washington with a Grade 3 ankle sprain, which seems likely to keep him sidelined for the rest of the regular season. Plus, Dallas is buried on Seattle's running back depth chart with Rashaad Penny back from IR, so the rookie fourth-rounder isn't necessarily needed at the moment.
Dec 23, 2020
Sits out to start week
Dallas (ankle) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was diagnosed with a Grade 3 ankle sprain following this past Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, so his absence from practice isn't surprising. He should be considered a long shot to play in Week 16 against the Rams. If he's indeed out, Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny will be the only running backs suiting up.
Dec 21, 2020
Nursing Grade 3 sprain
Dallas suffered a Grade 3 ankle sprain during Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fourth-round pick is dealing with a serious ankle sprain, an injury that will likely cause him to spent a multi-week stint on the sideline. That leaves Seattle a bit shallow for running back depth, with Travis Homer (knee) already on IR, but the team does have three quality options remaining in the form of Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and Rashaad Penny.
Dec 20, 2020
Diagnosed with sprained ankle
Dallas suffered a sprained ankle during Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas underwent an X-ray after being carted off the field Sunday, but he received encouraging news by avoiding a fracture. He could certainly miss time still, and a more definitive timeline should be provided when the practice week begins Wednesday. The Seahawks have the backfield depth to absorb Dallas' absence, as Rashaad Penny returned from the PUP list this week to serve behind Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde.
Dec 20, 2020
Carted off Sunday
Dallas won't return to Sunday's game against Washington due to an ankle injury, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears to be a serious injury as the 22-year-old was carted off the field, though the specifics of the issue remain unclear. Rashaad Penny was activated from the PUP list Saturday and will work as Seattle's No. 3 tailback with Dallas sidelined.
Dec 15, 2020
No tread until garbage time
Dallas rushed four times for seven yards in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Dallas didn't log a carry until coach Pete Carroll opted to rest the starters at the end of the third quarter. When the rookie got on the field, he did little with his opportunities. As long as Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde are healthy, Dallas will be kept out of the game plan. That will be emphasized further once Rashaad Penny (knee) returns to the lineup.
Dec 7, 2020
Reels in two passes
Dallas caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Dallas didn't play an offensive snap last week, but he enjoyed a larger role in this outing, logging 12 snaps, just six snaps shy of Carlos Hyde (18). This may have been because Hyde dealt with turf toe throughout the week. A decent workload could be expected on a weekly basis if Hyde's reps remain limited, but there's not fantasy relevance.
Dec 1, 2020
No offensive chances on MNF
Dallas garnered zero offensive snaps and 18 special-teams snaps during Monday's 23-17 win against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
With Chris Carson joining Carlos Hyde in the Seahawks backfield after sitting out four games due to a mid-foot sprain, Dallas was relegated to a strict special-teams role. The fourth-round rookie out of Miami collected 28 rush attempts between Weeks 8 and 11, but he managed only 3.3 yards per carry. Three total touchdowns over that span boosted Dallas' fantasy value, but it doesn't appear he will have much involvement Week 13 against the Giants unless there is an injury above him on the depth chart.
Nov 20, 2020
Garners just three touches
Dallas rushed once for 13 yards and caught both targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Dallas lost reps to a practice squad running back for a second straight week, as Alex Collins out-snapped him last week against the Rams and Bo Scarbrough (hamstring) did the same against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Carlos Hyde returned from a hamstring injury and operated as the team's bell cow, turning 16 touches into 95 yards and a touchdown. Chris Carson (foot) is expected to return next week against the Eagles, so Dallas' fantasy value has essentially vanished moving forward.
Nov 16, 2020
Takes backseat in loss
Dallas rushed twice for eight yards and caught two of three targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dallas was expected to take on a large workload once again because Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) were inactive, but Alex Collins ended up leading the backfield in snaps and touches. This may have been Dallas' final opportunity to lead the backfield, as Carson is expected to return this Thursday against the Cardinals.
Nov 15, 2020
Opportunity awaits Week 10
Dallas should rotate with Travis Homer during Sunday's game against the Rams following news that Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) are out, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks will play a third straight week with their top two running backs on the sidelines. Last week when the Seahawks were trailing almost the entire game, Homer led the backfield with a 48 percent snap share, and the two backs both handled nine touches. Homer finished with 80 total yards, including a 50-yard reception, and Dallas totaled 39 total yards and a score. While Dallas doesn't get much work in the passing game, he's the designated goal-line back and has rushed five times within the five-yard line over the past two games. He should have solid upside once again with a potentially high-scoring game on tap.
Nov 8, 2020
Finds paydirt in losing effort
Dallas rushed seven times for 31 yards and a touchdown and caught both targets for eight yards in Sunday's 44-34 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
With Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) out for a second straight week, the Seahawks may have planned to give Dallas more work. However, the Bills took a two-score lead just 7:25 into the first quarter, and the Seahawks shifted even heavier toward the pass. Dallas still salvaged his day by punching in a four-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Travis Homer was more efficient, totaling 80 yards on nine touches. It's unclear whether Carson and Hyde will return for the Week 10 matchup against the Rams, and Dallas's role will diminish if either is active.
Nov 6, 2020
Could start again Week 9
Dallas could be in store for a second straight start Sunday against the Bills with the Seahawks ruling out Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) for Sunday's game against the Bills, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
In last week's win over the 49ers, the Seahawks had Dallas and Travis Homer available as their only backs for the contest. Though Homer had slotted directly behind Carson and Hyde all season, he may have only been more of an emergency option Week 8, as he was questionable with a knee injury leading into the contest. As the lone Seattle back at full health, Dallas out-snapped Homer by a 54-7 margin, and despite finding the end zone twice, the rookie wasn't particularly efficient with his opportunities (18 carries for 41 yards, five receptions for 17 yards). Since Homer won't be carrying an injury designation into Sunday's game and is presumably in a better spot health-wise, Dallas won't be a safe bet to dominate the running-back snaps and touches like he did last week even if he receives another start. The Seahawks' Week 9 backfield situation could become even murkier if the team elects to promote Alex Collins from the practice squad prior to the game.
Nov 1, 2020
Finds end zone twice
Dallas carried the ball 18 times for 41 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against San Francisco. He added five receptions for 17 yards and another score.
ANALYSIS
Dallas took advantage of the absence of Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) to account for 18 of the team's 28 rush attempts. He wasn't very efficient -- he averaged only 2.3 yards per attempt and his longest rush of the day went for nine yards -- but did punch in a one-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter to clinch a victory for Seattle. More impressive was Dallas' involvement in the passing game, as he converted all five of his targets into receptions and made another trip to the end zone. Both Carson and Hyde were both game-time decisions and could be back for Week 9, which would greatly reduce Dallas' role against Buffalo.
Nov 1, 2020
Set for more snaps
Dallas will be one of two active running backs for the Seahawks alongside Travis Homer (knee) with Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) sidelined for Sunday's contest against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks notably have allowed Russell Wilson to "cook" this season, ranking in the bottom 10 in rush play percentage (38.5 percent). Still, with the team down its top two RBs, and Homer tending to a knee contusion, there's a chance Dallas is the lead ballcarrier Sunday. While Dallas has only played 23 snaps on offense in his brief career, the rookie fourth-rounder's six touches have translated to 41 yards from scrimmage.
Oct 30, 2020
Could handle lead role?
Dallas is the only Seattle tailback without an injury designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chris Carson (foot) and Travis Homer (knee) are listed as questionable, while Carlos Hyde (hamstring) is doubtful. Given that Homer has mostly seen playing time on passing downs to this point in his career, it's possible Dallas could be the lead ballcarrier if he and Homer are the only backs available Sunday. But Carson does have a history of battling through injuries, and coach Pete Carroll expects his starter to be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Stay tuned.
Oct 26, 2020
Catches two passes in loss
Dallas caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Chris Carson left in the second quarter with a foot injury, opening the door for Dallas to get on the field after logging no offensive snaps in Seattle's last game. The rookie was solid in his opportunities, and he could be counted on more moving forward because Travis Homer also exited with a knee contusion. If both Carson and Homer are forced to sit out next week against the 49ers, Dallas would line up as the No. 2 running back, a role that would yield a handful of touches.
Oct 13, 2020
No carries versus Vikings
Dallas did not receive an offensive snap during Sunday night's 27-26 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
The rookie back out of Miami fielded four offensive touches during a Week 4 road win over the Dolphins, but he was not incorporated into the offensive game plan against the Vikings. Dallas did garner 18 special-teams snaps during the contest, but at running back, only Chris Carson and Travis Homer had any involvement offensively.
Oct 2, 2020
Could rotate in Sunday
Dallas could log his first offensive snaps in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dallas made his NFL debut in Week 3's win over the Cowboys but only played on special teams. He could get his first shot Sunday if Chris Carson (knee) and Carlos Hyde (shoulder) are unable to play. Both running backs recovered from serious injuries this offseason and were limited participants in Thursday's practice. If neither Carson nor Hyde suits up, Dallas would operate as the No. 2 RB behind Travis Homer.
Sep 13, 2020
Not suiting up Sunday
Dallas (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fourth-round pick will put his NFL debut on hold, as Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde, and to a lesser extent Travis Homer, will handle the backfield workload. Dallas had an impressive training camp, showcasing his pass-catching abilities, so he's still in the Seahawks' plans this season.
Aug 7, 2020
Facing tough path to snaps
Dallas could be stuck on special teams or the inactive list for much of his rookie season, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The unusual circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic add an extra layer of difficulty to the college-to-pro transition, and Dallas faces the added challenge of landing in a crowded backfield with Chris Carson (hip), Rashaad Penny (knee), Carlos Hyde (shoulder) and former college teammate Travis Homer. Injuries partially explain the depth, but it appears all besides Penny are expected to be ready for Week 1, which likely means Homer and Dallas will compete for the No. 3 job behind Carson and Hyde. Dallas has more draft capital behind him as a fourth-round pick, but Homer, a sixth-round selection last year, appears to be a more natural fit for passing downs, which could make him useful as a complement to Carson and Hyde. Dallas, on the other hand, is a 217-pound bruiser who ran a 4.58 40-yard dash after catching only 28 passes in three seasons at Miami (FL).
