Will play Week 7
Davis (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Davis was limited in practice all week, but he has been cleared to return from a three-game absence due to a knee injury. The 2023 fourth-rounder has mostly been used as a returner this season and should see most of his playing time Sunday on special teams.
Oct 17, 2025
Could play vs. Indianapolis
Davis (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis has been sidelined for the Chargers' last three games due to a knee injury. He was limited in practice all week, and his status for Week 7 may not be known until the Chargers announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. The 2023 fourth-rounder was primarily deployed on special teams as a returner prior to his injury, and those duties would likely be handled by rookie fifth-rounder KeAndre Lambert-Smith and practice squad running back Nyheim Hines if Davis is not cleared to return.
Oct 15, 2025
Manages limited practice Wednesday
Davis (knee) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Davis has missed the Chargers' last three games due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 3 versus the Broncos, but his activity Wednesday signals he could have a chance to return in Week 7. If he can upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday, he could even avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
Oct 10, 2025
Remains sidelined against Miami
Davis (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Davis will miss a third consecutive game. His next chance to suit up will come Week 7 against the Colts. KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Ladd McConkey will likely continue to fill in on kickoff returns and punt returns, respectively.
Oct 8, 2025
Doesn't practice Wednesday
Davis (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
A knee injury has prevented Davis from playing in the Chargers' last two games, which has resulted in Tarheeb Still and KeAndre Lambert-Smith taking over as returners on punts and kickoffs. Davis would have to return to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days in order to have a chance at playing against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Oct 3, 2025
Not playing vs. Washington
Davis (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Davis will be sidelined for a second consecutive game due to a knee injury that he sustained in Week 3 against the Broncos. Tarheeb Still and KeAndre Lambert-Smith will likely pick up the slack as returners on kickoffs and punts in Davis' absence. Davis' next opportunity to play is Week 6 against the Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 12.
Oct 2, 2025
Absent from practice
Davis (knee) was a non-participant at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Davis has now been unavailable for each of the team's first two practices of the week, as he continues to nurse the knee injury he suffered in Week 3 against Denver. The wide receiver will have one more chance to return to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with the Commanders.
Oct 1, 2025
Not spotted at practice
Davis (knee) is not present at the early portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis sustained a knee injury Week 3 versus the Broncos and was held out of the Chargers' loss to the Giants in Week 4 as a result. For any chance of retaking the field Sunday versus the Commanders, Davis will need to resume practicing in at least a limited capacity Thursday and/or Friday. He hasn't yet been targeted this season but has carried the ball twice for five yards and contributed in the return game.
Sep 26, 2025
Ruled out for Sunday
Davis (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Davis was injured in last Sunday's win over the Broncos but was able to return to the game. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, Davis will sit this one out, allowing Hassan Haskins, Ladd McConkey and KeAndre Lambert-Smith to potentially handle returner duties for the Chargers.
Sep 24, 2025
Opens week with DNP
Davis (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Davis injured his knee during the first half of Sunday's 23-20 win over the Broncos. He was able to return for the the second half (and proceeded to fumble on his kickoff return early in the third quarter), but the injury has lingered into the week. Davis will have two more opportunities to practice in at least a limited capacity heading into Sunday's contest against the Giants.
Sep 21, 2025
Returns to action
Davis (knee) returned to action following halftime in Sunday's contest against the Broncos, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis was sidelined with a knee injury prior to the break, but he was able to make it back out there to open the second half. He did end up fumbling on a kickoff return, which the Broncos recovered early in the third quarter.
Sep 21, 2025
Exits with knee injury
Davis is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Broncos due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Davis suffered the injury late in the second quarter, and he is being evaluated in the locker room to determine whether he can return. Ladd McConkey and Hassan Haskins are the top candidates to handle punt-return duties for as long as Davis is out of the game.
Feb 17, 2025
Sees similar role again
Davis appeared in 15 regular-season games in his sophomore campaign, making 13 catches on 17 targets for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He also totaled 759 yards on kick and punt return duties.
ANALYSIS
Davis' second season looked a lot like his rookie campaign from a statistical standpoint. His 112 yards through the air bested his 66 from last season though, and his two touchdowns were the first of his career. The 24-year-old still has two seasons remaining on his rookie contract and likely will be pegged for return duties again in 2025, while he works to earn a greater share of the receiving work moving forward.
Jan 7, 2025
Held to one catch versus Las Vegas
Davis secured his only target for five yards during Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Davis finishes the regular season with 13 catches (17 targets) for 112 yards and two scores across 15 appearances. He also logged 12 carries for 39 yards, and contributed a combined 759 yards on kick and punt return duties. The 2023 fourth-round pick improved on his rookie-year production totals across the board, and he'll have a chance to continue making an impact Saturday on the road in a wild-card round playoff game against Houston.
Dec 30, 2024
Second week with TD
Davis caught both of his targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in the 40-7 win over the Patriots on Saturday. He also lost three yards on his only carry of the contest.
ANALYSIS
Davis opened the scoring on the afternoon with an impressive diving 27-yard catch on a beautifully thrown ball by Justin Herbert. It was Davis' second touchdown in as many weeks and comes despite the second-year wideout tallying 22 offensive snaps total over that stretch. The Chargers still have plenty to play for Week 18 in terms of playoff seeding, but it's possible Davis could see more playing time if the score gets out of handle against the lowly Raiders.
Dec 21, 2024
First TD of season
Davis lost three yards on his only carry and also caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown in the 34-27 win over the Broncos on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Davis' first touchdown of the season came on a blown assignment as the speedy receiver took advantage of a defender cheating too far up on a simple checkdown route and immediately exploded down the sideline for a relative easy 19-yard touchdown reception. The second-year wideout is effectively an end-around gadget player as he's played 10 or fewer offensive snaps in six of the past eight games.
Dec 13, 2024
Ready for Week 15
Davis (hamstring) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis was held to limited practice participation Wednesday and Thursday due to a hamstring injury, but he logged a full session Friday, suggesting that he's recovered from the issue in time to play Sunday. With the second-year wideout back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Chargers' top kick and punt returner in Week 15. Davis could also have increased offensive opportunities with Jalen Reagor (finger) sidelined Sunday.
Dec 11, 2024
Managing hamstring injury again
Davis was limited in practice Wednesday due to a hamstring issue, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis previously dealt with a hamstring issue and missed two games in late October as a result, but it's not clear if his current injury is related. The second-year wideout's chance of suiting up Sunday against Tampa Bay should gain clarity based on his practice participation the remainder of the week. Davis has played a limited role in Los Angeles' offense with no more than two catches in any game this season, but he's also served as the team's primary kick and punt returner.
Nov 1, 2024
Set to return Week 9
Davis (hamstring) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's battle against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Davis missed Weeks 7 and 8 due to a hamstring issue, but he was able to log an LP/LP/FP progression during practice this week. That will set him up to return to action Sunday versus Cleveland. Davis has just one catch on two targets for eight yards through five games this season, so his biggest impact could be on special teams, as he returns both kickoffs and punts for Los Angeles.
Oct 30, 2024
Returns to practice Wednesday
Davis (hamstring) was listed as a limited practice participant on the Chargers' injury report Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Davis has been sidelined for the Chargers' last two regular-season games due to a hamstring injury. He wasn't able to practice all of last week, so his ability to return to the field Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- is a step in the right direction. Davis will have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against Cleveland.
Oct 27, 2024
Won't play vs. New Orleans
Davis (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Davis was listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's contest after being unable to practice all week, and his next chance at suiting up will be Week 9 against the Browns on Sunday, Nov. 3. Jalen Reagor and Ladd McConkey will be the Chargers' primary returners on kickoffs and punts with Davis sidelined.
Oct 25, 2024
Unlikely to play vs. New Orleans
Davis (hamstring) did not practice Friday and is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Davis has been unable to practice all week due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the Chargers' loss to the Cardinals on Monday. If Davis is indeed inactive for Sunday's contest, Ladd McConkey would likely serve as the Chargers' kickoff and punt returner, though the latter is listed as questionable due to a hip injury.
Oct 24, 2024
Back-to-back DNPs to start week
Davis (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis missed Monday's game against the Cardinals due to a hamstring injury, and his consecutive DNPs to open the week doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday against the Saints. The 2023 fourth-round pick will have one more chance Friday to return to practice.
Oct 23, 2024
Opens week as DNP
Davis (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis suffered a hamstring injury during practice leading up to Monday's game against the Cardinals, which was severe enough for him to be sidelined for. His DNP on Wednesday isn't a good start to the week, but he'll have two more chances to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of the Chargers' Week 8 contest against the Saints on Sunday.
Oct 21, 2024
Unavailable for MNF
Davis (hamstring) is inactive for Monday night's contest against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Davis popped up on Saturday's injury report with a hamstring issue and he'll ultimately be forced to miss the team's matchup with Arizona. In his absence, Jalen Reagor is a candidate to see extra work as a kick returner and punt returner in Week 7.
Oct 19, 2024
Pops up on injury report
Davis (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Davis was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday, but he made an appearance on Saturday's injury report due to a hamstring issue. He joins a long list of Chargers' wide receivers who have an injury tag heading into Monday's contest. With Ladd McConkey (hip) also listed as questionable, it's unclear who would serve as the Bolts' returner for kickoffs and punt returns if both Davis and McConkey are inactive.
Sep 29, 2024
Suiting up
Davis (hamstring) is active Sunday against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Davis will take the field in Week 4 despite not practicing Thursday or Friday. He should handle the team's return duties, while also likely seeing a few snaps on offense.
Sep 27, 2024
Questionable for Week 4
Davis (hamstring) is considered questionable to play in Sunday's contest against Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Davis opened the week as a limited participant at practice with a hamstring injury before failing to participate at the team's final two sessions of the week. The wide receiver appears to be unlikely to play in Week 4, though the questionable tag leaves the door open for him to give it a go Sunday.
Sep 26, 2024
Downgrades to DNP
Davis (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday's practice session.
ANALYSIS
The fact that Davis' practice participation has decreased doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday against the Chiefs. He will have one more chance Friday to practice in at least a limited capacity. If Davis cannot play Sunday, Ladd McConkey would be a leading candidate to handle kickoff and punt return duties for the Chargers.
Sep 25, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Davis (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Davis took one carry for eight yards and accumulated 42 return yards during Sunday's loss to the Steelers, but it appears he sustained a hamstring injury in the process. The third-year wideout's participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his potential Week 4 availability. If he's unable to suit up, expect Ladd McConkey to serve as the Chargers' top return man.
Sep 24, 2024
Handles one carry in Week 3
Davis rushed once for eight yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Through three weeks, Davis has not been targeted in the passing game and has rushed three total times so far this season. Even with teammate Joshua Palmer (elbow/calf) sidelined Sunday, the 24-year-old wideout played just nine offensive snaps in the contest. Davis' minimal usage in the Chargers' offense keep him far off the fantasy radar heading into a matchup against the Chiefs in Week 4.
Sep 11, 2024
Two touches against Las Vegas
Davis rushed the ball twice for nine yards in Sunday's 22-10 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Davis failed to record a single target in the contest and played just seven of the Chargers' 57 offensive snaps. Buried on the wide receiver depth chart, Davis will likely struggle to see ample opportunities on a consistent basis. Nonetheless, Davis will have another opportunity to step forward in the offense when the Chargers visit the Panthers in Week 2.
Aug 24, 2024
Takes only touch to house
Davis had only one touch in Saturday's 26-19 preseason win over the Cowboys, taking an end-around 70 yards for a touchdown on the Chargers' first play from scrimmage.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 fourth-round pick may have done all he needed to do to secure his spot on the 53-man roster with one carry, as Davis took the handoff from Easton Stick, beat a couple Dallas defenders to the corner and took off down the sideline. Davis figures to be the Chargers' primary kick returner this season, but with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams (knee) both now wearing other uniforms, the team's wide receiver corps has a lot of snaps and targets up for grabs. If players like Joshua Palmer, DJ Chark (hip) and Quentin Johnston don't step up, Davis could get some opportunities on offense as the season progresses.
Jan 8, 2024
Hardly used as receiver
Davis caught his only target for 18 yards in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Chiefs. He also tallied three carries for 17 yards and recorded 69 kick-return yards.
ANALYSIS
Despite all the injuries to Chargers wideouts, the 2023 fourth-round pick was merely a gadget wideout as Davis had nearly as many receptions (15) as carries in (14) in his pro debut. The speedy target might have been unceremoniously passed over on the depth chart by castoff receivers such as Alex Erickson, Keelan Doss and Jalen Guyton, but Davis did prove to be an effective return man combining for 760 return yards to go along with one touchdown. Los Angeles' receiving corps could undergo a massive overhaul due to cap woes, which would leave Davis and fellow TCU target, Quentin Johnston, as one of the last few pass catchers standing entering the 2024 campaign.
Dec 13, 2023
Plays exclusively special teams
Davis played all 12 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 24-7 loss to the Broncos and returned two kickoffs for 44 yards.
ANALYSIS
For the first time in his 13 appearances this season, Davis failed to take a snap on offense, with the Chargers prioritizing all of Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, Alex Erickson and Jalen Guyton ahead of him at receiver. The Chargers will return Joshua Palmer (knee) from injured reserve for Thursday's game in Las Vegas, so Davis is set to drop down another spot on the depth chart. Davis should continue to remain active on game days through his role as the Chargers' top option on kickoff and punt returns.
Nov 21, 2023
Limited involvement against Packers
Davis caught his lone target for minus-3 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Davis operated as the Chargers' No. 4 wide receiver, playing just seven of the 65 offensive snaps Sunday. The rookie's utilization leaves much to be desired, yet he has proven to have the ability to make plays with his impressive speed. Nonetheless, Davis shouldn't be trusted for fantasy purposes when the Chargers host the Ravens in Week 12.
Nov 13, 2023
Plays 15 snaps in loss
Davis caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 41-38 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
The rookie speedster played a career-high 15 offensive snaps in what became a shootout almost from the word go. One week after registering an 84-yard punt return touchdown, Davis ripped off a nice 27-yard kick return and now has four games with at least a combined 30 return yards. The lack of playing time will make it difficult to roster the rookie even in deeper fantasy leagues, but he's clearly a scheduled playmaker for an offense that has been inconsistent at times this year.
Nov 7, 2023
First career punt return TD
Davis did not record a yard on his lone reception in Monday's 27-6 win over the Jets, but he did return a 87-yard punt return to open the scoring in the first quarter.
ANALYSIS
Davis only played offensive snaps as the Jets' offense barely put up a fight. The rookie did kick off the scoring for the Chargers on the second punt of the game, returning it 87 yards for a massive special teams touchdown. It's clear the electric speedster can be a gamechanger when he has the ball, but to this point he's hardly been utilized by the offense.
Oct 31, 2023
Draws two targets in win
Davis caught his two lone targets for four yards Sunday in the Chargers' 30-13 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
One week after having multiple running plays schemed for him, Davis wasn't unlocked in a contest that became uncompetitive quickly. With just nine offensive snaps Sunday and only 11 the week prior, it's hard to suggest the 23-year-old has much fantasy value save for deeper leagues.
Oct 23, 2023
Gets multiple carries in loss
Davis carried the ball three times for 14 yards and also caught one of his two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
The Chargers ran a number of plays specifically for Davis, which ironic given the team has failed to get 2023 first-round pick, Quentin Johnston, more involved in the gameplan. Davis, a fourth-round pick from this past draft class, has plenty of speed, but it's hard to imagine his current role expanding tremendously unless an injury were to happen to the team's top of the depth chart.
Oct 18, 2023
Barely plays Monday
Davis went without a target while playing two of the Chargers' 73 snaps on offense in Monday's 20-17 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
In the Chargers' previous game Week 4 versus the Raiders, Davis logged 12 snaps and recorded two catches for 16 yards, but he saw his already limited playing time take a hit coming out of the team's bye week. He finished fifth among Chargers receivers in snaps Monday, with practice-squad call-up Keelan Doss finishing ahead of him. Even with Mike Williams (knee) out for the season, Davis doesn't look as though he'll be much more than a depth option at receiver, though the fourth-round rookie out of TCU should maintain his role as the Chargers' top return man.
Oct 3, 2023
Not much increase in playing time
Davis caught both of his targets for 16 yards in the 24-17 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Davis didn't see a significant snaps bump with Mike Williams (knee) out, as he played just 16 snaps compared to Quentin Johnston's 33. The speedy rookie will have a situational role as a field stretcher moving forward, but it's hard to imagine Davis operating as anything more unless another injury occurs atop the depth chart.
Sep 11, 2023
Only plays three offensive snaps
Davis caught his lone reception for five yards in Sunday's 36-34 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
The speedy rookie played just three total offensive snaps, significantly fewer than projected No. 4 target Joshua Palmer (55 snaps). Davis will likely be an electric special teams returner for the Chargers, but at least based off his performance Week 1, he won't have a significant impact offensively.
Aug 13, 2023
Thrills with punt return TD
Davis brought in both targets for 21 yards, returned one kickoff for 17 yards and ran back two punts for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 34-17 preseason win over the Rams on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The blazing-fast rookie made his mark with an 81-yard punt return touchdown at just under the 10-minute mark of the second quarter to snap a 7-7 tie. Davis was also efficient on his pair of receptions, and the fact both Joshua Palmer (undisclosed) and Jalen Guyton (PUP-knee) were sidelined in addition to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams being idle certainly helped up open opportunities for him on offense. Davis' next chance to make a case for a roster spot comes in a home preseason matchup against the Saints on Sunday night, Aug. 20.
Apr 29, 2023
More speed for Bolts
The Chargers selected Davis in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 125th overall.
ANALYSIS
Davis posted an impressive 4.36 40-yard dash at the combine, though that is paired with size concerns as he stands only 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds. His stature limited him to relatively uninspiring college production, though he did manage 42 receptions for 531 yards and five touchdowns in his final season at TCU. As a rookie, Davis will pair up with college teammate Quentin Johnston to add depth to a Chargers' wideout corps headed by returnees Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
