Keep up with the latest injuries from the Colts vs Jaguars game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 25, 2025
Gets after quarterback
Lloyd recorded five tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd had a quiet game from purely a tackle perspective and was surprisingly limited to only 76 percent of defensive snaps. However, he made up for that with a pair of sacks in the second half of Sunday's win, both of which led to punts. Lloyd has only seven stops combined across his last two games, so his trajectory will be worth monitoring.
Nov 11, 2025
Racks up eight stops in Week 10
Lloyd finished Sunday's loss to the Texans with eight tackles (two solo).
ANALYSIS
Lloyd's tackle total was third-most on the Jaguars and tied a season-high mark. The fourth-year linebacker has recorded 36 tackles and four defensed passes, including an interception, through seven games on the season.
Nov 5, 2025
Full participant in practice
Lloyd (calf) was a full participant in Jacksonville's practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd sat out the past two games with a calf injury but is now healthy again. The 2022 first-round pick should return to his role as the team's starting middle linebacker for Sunday's matchup versus Houston.
Nov 2, 2025
Inactive for Week 9
Lloyd (calf) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Lloyd was "not expected to play" against Las Vegas, and the fourth-year linebacker will indeed miss a second consecutive game due to a calf injury. Ventrell Miller will see an increased workload on defense in Lloyd's absence.
Nov 2, 2025
Likely out for Week 9
Lloyd (calf) is "not expected to play" Sunday against the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The starting middle linebacker entered the weekend with a questionable tag after getting in limited practices all week and missing the Jaguars' Week 7 contest against the Rams. The bye week in between was apparently not enough to help him get ready in time to play this week. Ventrell Miller is Lloyd's backup.
Oct 31, 2025
Questionable to play Week 9
Lloyd (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Paul reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was unable to play against the Rams in Week 7 due to a calf injury, but he's had additional time to recover courtesy of the Week 8 bye. He was limited in practice all week to get the questionable tag, and his return would result in less defensive snaps available for Ventrell Miller. Lloyd's official status for Week 9 may not be known until the Jaguars announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 29, 2025
Still tending to calf issue
Lloyd (calf) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd sat out the Jaguars' last game before their Week 8 bye versus the Rams due to a calf injury, and now he's in danger of being sidelined for Week 9 action as well. He'll likely need to participate fully in practice Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
Oct 13, 2025
Ruled out for Week 7
Lloyd (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd played just 27 percent of the defensive snaps Sunday against the Seahawks, and the calf injury would seem to explain why. Ventrell Miller was the beneficiary of Lloyd's absence and would be the likely frontrunner to fill Lloyd's role against the Rams.
Oct 13, 2025
Just three tackles in Week 6
Lloyd tallied three total tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Following an impressive Week 5 performance in which Lloyd tallied two solo tackles and a 99-yard pick-six, he played just 14 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss. The 2022 first-round pick from Utah has now recorded 28 total tackles and four interceptions over 246 defensive snaps through the Jags' first six games this season. Although he had an underwhelming Week 6 showing, Lloyd is expected to start alongside Foyesade Oluokun in Jacksonville's linebacker corps in the Week 7 matchup against the Rams.
Oct 7, 2025
99-yard pick-six in MNF victory
Lloyd recorded two tackles (two solo) and one interception, which he returned 99 yards for a touchdown, in the Jaguars' 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd opened the season in a part-time role but has played over 90 percent of the defensive snaps across the last two games and now leads the NFL with four interceptions. His 99-yard pick-six off Patrick Mahomes on Monday flipped the game on its head and gave the Jaguars a 21-14 lead after it appeared Kansas City was on its way to taking a third-quarter lead. On the season, Lloyd has recorded 25 tackles (14 solo), four interceptions and one fumble recovery on 72 percent of the defensive snaps.
Sep 29, 2025
Picks off Purdy twice in Week 4 win
Lloyd finished Sunday's 26-21 win over the 49ers with eight tackles (six solo) and two interceptions.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd played 62 of 66 defensive snaps and finished second on the Jaguars in tackling behind Tyson Campbell (nine). Lloyd was responsible for two of Jacksonville's four turnovers, with his two interceptions off Brock Purdy in the second and fourth quarters being converted into 10 points by the Jaguars' offense. Lloyd is already up to three interceptions through four games, which matches his total from his rookie season in 2022. He's also logged 23 tackles (12 solo) and one fumble recovery to start the season.
Sep 15, 2025
Snags interception in loss
Lloyd recorded five total tackles (two solo), while also adding an interception in Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was able to pick off quarterback Jake Browning in the fourth quarter, securing his first interception of the 2025 campaign. Through two contests this season, the linebacker has now registered nine total tackles (two solo) and an interception.
Apr 30, 2025
Option not exercised
The Jaguars won't exercise Lloyd's fifth-year option, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 first-round pick out of Utah has been one of the Jaguars' top tacklers over the past three seasons, ranking second on the team with 355 total tackles across 48 regular-season contests. Lloyd has been also been a valuable asset in coverage, recording 19 passes defended, including three interceptions, since entering the league. Despite the team declining his fifth-year option, Lloyd is expected to remain one of Jacksonville's top inside linebackers in 2025, likely starting alongside Foyesade Oluokun.
Jan 12, 2025
Tallies second sack
Lloyd recorded six tackles (four solo) with a sack during Jacksonville's Week 18 loss to Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old tied for fifth on the team in tackles in the season finale and recorded his second sack of the season. Lloyd totaled 113 tackles (61 solo) with two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 16 games this season. The 2022 first-round pick is entering the final guaranteed year of his contract, and Jacksonville will need to decide during the offseason whether or not to exercise his fifth-year option for 2026.
Dec 30, 2024
Gets first interception of season
Lloyd recorded six tackles (four solo) and an interception during Sunday's 20-13 win versus the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd's tackle total in Week 17 wasn't noteworthy by his standards, but the pick was his first since Week 16 of the 2022 season. He could be asked to shift out of pass protection mode when the Jaguars travel to take on a run-heavy Indianapolis team in Week 18.
Dec 23, 2024
Productive in loss
Lloyd logged seven tackles (five solo) during Jacksonville's loss versus the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd finished second on the team in tackles behind Foyesade Oluokun' eight and has now recorded six or more stops in three of his last four games played. The 2022 first-round pick will look to build off this solid performance and keep producing during the team's Week 17 matchup versus Tennessee.
Dec 10, 2024
Fine showing in road win
Lloyd recorded eight tackles (one solo) during Sunday's 10-6 win at Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
After putting up a solid stat line in Week 14, Lloyd has now tallied eight-plus tackles in seven games this season. He's right on the cusp of 100 tackles on the season, and he's still on the IDP radar going into a Week 15 matchup versus the Jets.
Dec 3, 2024
Notches six stops Sunday
Lloyd finished Sunday's Week 13 loss to Houston with six tackles (three solo) and a defensed pass.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd ranked second on the Jaguars in stops behind Darnell Savage, who finished with seven. Lloyd has tallied 11 tackles over his past two contests following a big Week 10 against Minnesota when he racked up 16 stops. The third-year linebacker leads Jacksonville with 85 tackles, including 1.0 sacks, on the campaign.
Nov 11, 2024
Racks up 16 stops in loss
Lloyd recorded 16 tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's Week 10 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
The tackle total was a season high for Lloyd and marked the second time he has reached double-digit stops this year. The third-year linebacker leads Jacksonville with 74 tackles through nine games on the campaign and is on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 127 stops he established last season.
Nov 4, 2024
Active in defeat
Lloyd recorded eight tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The middle linebacker also played on 77 percent of the defensive snaps. Lloyd has 58 tackles (32 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble in 2024.
Oct 22, 2024
Huge day in win
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (five solo) including 1.0 sacks during Sunday's 32-16 win against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was on the field for nearly all of the Jaguars' defensive snaps in Week 7, and he consequently finished as their leading tackler. He's been the undisputed top option in Jacksonville for snaps at linebacker so far this year, making him a good IDP option headed into a Week 8 matchup versus the Packers.
Oct 6, 2024
Ready to play
Lloyd (knee) is active Sunday against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd will return to the field for Week 5 after missing the team's Week 4 loss to the Texans. Having the Utah product back on the field should be a boost to the Jaguars' defense for their divisional matchup against Indianapolis.
Oct 4, 2024
Officially questionable vs. Indy
Lloyd (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd sat out the Jaguars' Week 4 loss against the Texans due to a knee injury. After opening this week as a DNP, he was limited in practice Thursday and Friday, and head coach Doug Pederson relayed after Friday's practice session that he expects Lloyd to play in Sunday's AFC South contest, per John Shipley of SI.com. Across the first three games of the regular season, Lloyd tallied 21 tackles (13 solo), two passes defended and one forced fumble.
Oct 4, 2024
Expected to suit up Week 5
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Lloyd (knee) is expected to take the field for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Colts, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd missed practice Wednesday and was listed as 'limited' Thursday, as he continues to tend to the knee injury that prevented him from playing Week 4 versus Houston. Friday's practice report will reveal whether Lloyd officially carries an injury designation into the weekend, but it sounds like the 2022 first-round pick should be able to suit up versus Indianapolis on Sunday.
Oct 2, 2024
Misses Wednesday's practice
Lloyd (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd missed the Jaguars' Week 4 loss to the Texans due to a knee injury, and following Wednesday's DNP, he could be in jeopardy of missing even more time. The Utah product will likely need to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to suit up for Jacksonville's Week 5 matchup against the Colts.
Sep 29, 2024
Not playing Sunday
Lloyd (knee) is inactive Sunday against the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was a late addition to the injury report, which typically isn't a good sign. With Foyesade Oluokun (foot) also inactive, the Jaguars' linebacker corps will be depleted in Houston.
Sep 27, 2024
Gives himself chance to play Sunday
Lloyd (knee) was limited in Friday's practice and is questionable to play Sunday against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd appeared on the Jaguars' injury report Thursday due to a knee injury. He was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday, which gives the 2022 first-round pick a real shot at playing Sunday. Lloyd's presence is desperately needed for a Jaguars' linebacker corps that will be without Foyesade Oluokun (foot) for multiple weeks.
Sep 26, 2024
Pops up on injury report
Lloyd (knee) did not practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd played a couple of fewer snaps than usual in Monday's loss to the Bills, although it's not clear if that was due to injury or the score. The Utah product's potential absence Sunday against the Texans is made worse by Foyesade Oluokun (foot) being doubtful for the matchup, which could leave the Jaguars without their top two linebackers.
Sep 16, 2024
Bright spot in loss
Lloyd recorded eight tackles (five solo), two passes defensed and a forced fumble during Sunday's 18-13 loss versus the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd managed a nice showing in what was otherwise a dismal day for Jacksonville. He trailed Foye Oluokun in snaps again in Week 2, but he's producing enough with the work he's being given thus far to warrant IDP consideration in Week 3 at Buffalo.
Sep 9, 2024
Nine stops in loss
Lloyd recorded nine total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was rather active in Week 1, finishing second to Foye Oluokun on the team in tackles. The linebacker compiled 127 tackles last season and he appears to have picked up where he left off in 2024.
Feb 21, 2024
Tallies 127 tackles
Lloyd finished the season with 127 tackles (75 solo), seven passes defensed and two fumble recoveries in 15 games.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 first-round pick recorded 12 more tackles than during his rookie campaign despite playing in two fewer contests. Lloyd's production is also notable since he plays alongside Foye Oluokun, who was once again one of the most productive tacklers in the league.
Jan 2, 2024
Good showing vs. Panthers
Lloyd recorded seven tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 26-20 win versus the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Loyd tallied seven-plus tackles for the 10th time in his last 11 games in Week 17. He projects as a plus IDP play for Week 18 when the Jaguars travel to Tennessee with a chance to clinch the AFC South.
Dec 20, 2023
Another big performance in Week 15
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd registered double-digit takedowns for the third game in a row and fifth time over the last six contests. He continues to be a force on Jacksonville's defense and he's now up to 110 tackles on the season, just five short of his total from his rookie campaign last year.
Dec 12, 2023
Ties season-best 11 tackles again
Lloyd tallied 11 tackles (four solo) and one fumble recovery during Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd has yet to surpass 11 tackles in a single game this season, but he's now matched that mark on five occasions. The 2022 first-round pick will likely need to keep up his impressive momentum for Jacksonville to have any chance of emerging victorious versus the Ravens in Week 15.
Dec 6, 2023
Season-high solo tackles in loss
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (eight solo) in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd remained very active in Week 13, recording at least eight stops for the seventh game in a row, while the eight solo takedowns represent a season-high for him. The linebacker is now up to 88 total tackles while also deflecting seven passes and recovering a fumble over 10 appearances in 2023.
Nov 20, 2023
Leading tackler in win
Lloyd made 11 tackles (five solo) in the Jaguars' 34-14 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The inside linebacker also played on 39 of 40 defensive snaps. Lloyd has 69 tackles, six passes defensed and a fumble recovery in eight games this season.
Nov 14, 2023
Leading tackler in loss
Lloyd logged 10 total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 34-3 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 first-round pick has been very productive since returning from a thumb issue, averaging 10 tackles per game in four appearances. Even though he's missed two games this year, Lloyd is second on the Jaguars' in total tackles (58) and pass deflections (six). Expect the second-year linebacker to continue wreaking havoc for Jacksonville's defense for the remainder of the season.
Oct 31, 2023
Nine tackles in win
Lloyd had nine tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
It was the third straight game that Lloyd had at least nine tackles and he played 100 percent of the defensive snaps for the first time since Week 1. His 48 tackles in six games ranks second on the team -- well behind the 92 of Foye Oluokun -- and he's seemingly over the thumb injury that caused him to miss two games earlier in the year.
Oct 20, 2023
Ties season best with 11 tackles
Lloyd had 11 tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed in Thursday's 31-24 win over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd matched his season high in tackles. This was the fourth time that the 2022 first-round draft pick racked up exactly 11 tackles in a game, but his 14 against the Eagles in his fourth NFL game still represents Lloyd's high-water mark.
Oct 15, 2023
Ready to play Week 6
Lloyd (thumb) is officially active for Sunday's game versus the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 first-round pick sat out the past two contests after undergoing thumb surgery Sept. 27, but he'll return to the field for Sunday's divisional matchup after being labeled questionable. Lloyd totaled 19 tackles (eight solo), three passes defensed and a fumble recovery in the first three games of the season.
Oct 13, 2023
Draws questionable tag
Lloyd (thumb) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's contest against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd logged limited practices all week and is looking like a true game-time decision. He is looking to return from a two-game absence, but is in danger of missing a third. More clarity on his status will come Sunday morning after he tests things out and conveys with team doctors.
Oct 11, 2023
Manages limited practice
Lloyd (thumb) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd has missed Jacksonville's last two games recovering from a surgery he underwent on his right thumb two weeks ago, but he took an important step towards returning to game action by practicing Wednesday. If he can practice in full Thursday or Friday, he may be able to shed his injury designation before Sunday's game versus Indianapolis.
Sep 27, 2023
Will miss next two games
Lloyd has surgery on his right thumb Wednesday and won't accompany the team for its two-game stretch in London that includes matchups Sunday with the Falcons and Oct. 8 versus the Bills, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Llyod suffered the injury in the team's Week 2 loss to Kansas City and was unable to play in the Week 3 loss to Houston. Rather than joining the Jaguars abroad, Lloyd will stay back in the United States and focus on his rehab and recovery in advance of the Jaguars' Week 6 game against the the Colts. While Lloyd is out, Chad Muma will likely continue seeing extra opportunities at linebacker.
Sep 25, 2023
Needs further testing
Lloyd is having testing done on his right thumb Monday to find out the severity of his injury, according to head coach Doug Pederson, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to the Texans, and it's not yet clear what the potential range of outcomes is for the second-year pro. An update on his status or the team's practice reports in the days ahead will likely shed a better light on his potential availability for Week 4 against the Falcons.
Sep 18, 2023
Records 11 tackles in loss
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (five solo) and two pass deflections in Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd led the team in takedowns in the loss, compiling his highest total since Week 5 of the 2022 campaign. The linebacker recorded 115 tackles last year and he appears likely to remain heavily involved on Jacksonville's defense in his second NFL season.
Feb 2, 2023
Totals 115 tackles
Lloyd had 115 tackles (59 solo), eight passes defensed, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 17 games during the 2022 regular season.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick played an every-down role at times for Jacksonville this season, and he finished third on the team in tackles. Lloyd should take on a more consistent role during his sophomore campaign in 2023, though his IPD potential will likely remain more limited while playing alongside Foye Oluokun, who has two straight 180-plus tackle seasons.
Dec 25, 2022
Logs first pick since Week 3
Lloyd recorded nine tackles (six solo) and one interception during Thursday's 19-3 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
While Jacksonville played without both Travon Walker (ankle) and De'Shaan Dixon (coach's decision) in Week 16 against the Jets, Lloyd paced the team with nine stops and recorded his third interception of the 2022-23 campaign on a Zach Wilson heave to the end zone to close out the first half. Although Walker is now anticipated to return from his two-game absence in Week 17 versus Houston, Lloyd will still likely play a prominent role in the Jaguars' defensive game plan on New Years Day.
Dec 20, 2022
Registers nine tackles vs. Dallas
Lloyd tallied nine tackles (seven solo) in an overtime win against the Cowboys in Week 15.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd made his second straight start for the Jaguars and finished third on the team with nine stops. That was the most he has recorded since notching 11 tackles against Houston in Week 5. Chad Muma (ankle) had started over Lloyd in Weeks 12 and 13 before injuring his ankle, and he played just 11 snaps in his return against Dallas. However, Muma is listed as a starter in the Jaguars' Week 16 press release, per Jordan de Lugo of Generation Jaguar, so Lloyd may see his snap count decrease Thursday against the Jets.
Dec 12, 2022
Eight tackles in start Week 14
Lloyd recorded eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd stepped up into a starting role with third-round rookie Chad Muma (ankle) sidelined against Tennessee. As a result, the 2022 first-round selection played every defensive snap alongside league-leading tackler Foye Oluokun for the first time since Week 8. Lloyd played just about every down over the first nine games of the season, but he saw his playing time decline to a rotational role over the past three contests. He should continue to fill in at inside linebacker if Muma does manage to work his way back into practice Week 15.
Dec 9, 2022
Slated to start Sunday
Lloyd will start Sunday against the Titans in the absence of Chad Muma (ankle), John Shipley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd started the first nine games of the season, totaling 69 tackles and two interceptions during that stretch. However, he's reverted to a reserve gig over the Jaguars' past three games, recording 12 stops in that span. Look for Lloyd to return to relevancy in IDP leagues now that he's back in a starting role.
Oct 11, 2022
Another productive week
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 13-6 loss against the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd played 56 of the team's defensive snaps as the Jags gave up 31 times for 116 yards and one touchdown in Week 5. The 24-year-old has totaled 49 tackles and two interceptions through his five games.
Oct 4, 2022
Logs double-digit tackles
Lloyd recorded 14 tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd played a season-high 77 defensive snaps as the Jaguars gave up 210 rushing yards over 50 total carries in Week 4. As a result, the rookie linebacker notched his most productive tackling outing of the season. Lloyd has also played 100 percent of Jacksonville's defensive snaps over the last three weeks.
Sep 26, 2022
Snatches another interception
Lloyd had seven tackles (five solo), three pass deflections and an interception during Sunday's 38-10 win against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
It's the second straight week with three pass breakups and a pick for the rookie first-round pick, who has been highly productive through his first three games in the NFL. Lloyd has played nearly every defensive snap so far for Jacksonville and has 24 tackles (16 solo), six pass deflections and two interceptions.
Sep 19, 2022
Disrupts Indy's passing attack
Lloyd recorded six tackles (three solo), three pass deflections and one interception during Sunday's 24-0 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The rookie showed of his versatility by picking off a pass intended for Denzel Patmon in the fourth quarter, marking his first career interception. Across two games, Lloyd has totaled 17 tackles, giving him a solid fantasy floor, but if he's able to be a disruptive player against the pass on a weekly basis, he could certainly vault into the top-tier of IDP players.
Sep 12, 2022
Leads team in tackles
Lloyd recorded 11 tackles (eight solo) during Sunday's 28-22 loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick played all but eight defensive snaps in his NFL debut and led Jacksonville in tackles. Lloyd will need to illustrate some consistency in order to become an IDP option in his first professional campaign, but he took a step in that direction with strong showing Week 1.
Aug 29, 2022
Back on field Saturday
Lloyd (undisclosed) recorded five tackles during the Jaguars' preseason finale against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd made his preseason debut Saturday after being sidelined for multiple weeks with an undisclosed injury. Jacksonville likely wanted to avoid overworking the first-round rookie coming off this issue, as he played on just 38 percent of the team's defensive snaps during this final preseason game. Lloyd should immediately step into a prominent role alongside fellow inside linebacker Foye Oluokun starting with the Jaguars' Week 1 matchup against the Commanders.
Aug 10, 2022
Likely out at least a week
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday that he expects Lloyd (undisclosed) to return to practice sometime next week, Eugene Frenette of Jacksonville's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Loyd was initially listed as day-to-day, but it appears like the rookie will now miss the Jaguars' preseason opener. Regardless, it doesn't appear like the issue is anything major, so the first-round pick still has a shot at opening the regular season as the starting inside linebacker next to Foye Oluokun.
Aug 7, 2022
Not currently practicing
Lloyd is day-to-day and still recovering from an undisclosed injury Sunday, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd is doing "good" according to the report, and the day-to-day nature would imply this is not a serious issue. Lloyd was selected in the first round of the 2022 Draft by the Jaguars, and is expected to form a strong duo at inside linebacker with Foye Oluokun.
