Despite the disappointing day, White still has an abundance of upside in coordinator Todd Bowles' scheme, as he demonstrated when he racked up 26 stops over the first two games of the season. He could be in for a more productive performance in Thursday night's Week 5 matchup against the Bears, considering Chicago's offense may rely heavily on RB David Montgomery and the shorter-area passing game, the latter evidenced by Nick Foles' pedestrian average of 6.2 yards over his 71 attempts thus far.

While he didn't make any impact plays in the form of forced turnovers, White still checked in second on the team in tackles and was an integral part of the Buccaneers holding the Broncos to 3.0 yards per carry. The second-year linebacker posted double-digit stops in the first two games of the season, so he boasts an impressive 33 tackles through three games and has also been credited with two pass breakups.

White registered 15 tackles (11 solo), including one for loss, and also recorded a defensed pass and a quarterback hit in the Buccaneers' 31-17 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

White got up slowly after a play early in the first quarter, and, even after a weather delay, did not return to the game. A top-five pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, White adds a lot of value to the Buccaneers' defense, signal-calling and providing sideline-to-sideline tackling. More will be known about the severity of the injury in the near future, but Kevin Minter is slated to take over at inside linebacker as long as White is out.

White (illness) was a late addition to the injury report Saturday and listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official sitereports.

That's now three Bucs players in recent days added to the injury report due to an illness. The rookie linebacker had put together a solid preseason to date, but it's unclear if he'll make his NFL debut Sunday.
