Produces first career sack
Ezeiruaku recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The 2025 second-round pick had been getting fairly consistent pressure through the first six weeks of the season, but Sunday's sack of Marcus Mariota was his first as a pro. Ezeiruaku has collected 16 tackles (11 solo) and a forced fumble in addition to the sack through seven games to begin his NFL career.

Making strong early impression
Ezeiruaka has been the standout of the Cowboys' edge rusher group through the early part of training camp, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Micah Parsons not practicing while he waits for a contract extension, additional reps have opened up for players like Ezeiruaku, and the Boston College product is taking advantage. Selected 44th overall in the 2025 Draft, Ezeiruaku led the ACC with 16.5 sacks in his senior season, and his athleticism and aggressiveness seem to be a good fit for defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus' scheme. "It's not a lot of thinking," Ezeiruaku said Saturday. "Some coaches can overcomplicate things sometimes. [In this defense], there's not a lot of thinking. We're going straight and we're attacking the ball." The rookie joins a young but potentially dangerous pass-rush group that includes fellow second-round picks Marshawn Kneeland (2024) and Sam Williams (2022), along with Parsons and veteran Dante Fowler.

Heading to Dallas
The Cowboys selected Ezeiruaku in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 44th overall.
ANALYSIS
This is a windfall for the Cowboys as Ezeiruaku was often projected to go as early as the 20's in this draft. Ezeiruaku had an up-and-down career at Boston College. He broke out with 8.5 sacks in 2022 as a sophomore before that number fell to 2.0 the following season. Ezeiruaku ended on a high note, though, racking up an ACC-leading 16.5 sacks and 20.5 total tackles for loss as a senior. He is on the smaller side (6-foot-2, 248 pounds), which may have led to his slide, but he has a refined toolbox of pass-rushing moves and good athleticism to back it up. Adding any sort of credible pass-rushing threat opposite Micah Parsons would give Dallas a scary front seven.
