Hull signed with the Saints' practice squad Wednesday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

The 25-year-old running back was a fifth-round pick in the 2023 Draft by the Colts but has appeared in just two career regular-season contests. With Kendre Miller (knee) done for the season, Hull provides the Saints organizational depth.

Pittsburgh cut Hull on Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Hull inked a reserve/future contract with the Steelers back in January, but despite spending the entire offseason with the team he couldn't secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster. He may be a candidate to resurface on the practice squad, however.

Hull rushed six times for seven yards while securing one of three targets for six yards during Saturday's 31-25 preseason win over Jacksonville.

Hull spent most of the past two seasons on the Colts' practice squad but signed a reserve/future contract with Pittsburgh in January. He didn't make much of an impact in Saturday's preseason opener, and it seems most likely that he's simply competing for a spot on the Steelers' practice squad ahead of the regular season.

He appeared in two games for the team, logging one rushing attempt for one yard, while catching one pass for six yards. Hull will try to win a backup job in Pittsburgh's backfield this upcoming offseason.

Hull continues to bounce on and off Indianapolis' practice squad, after his spot on the 53-man roster was taken by the activation of DeForest Buckner from IR. The second-year pro has only played one offensive snap this season, Week 7 against Miami.

Hull then put together a solid preseason, but still ultimately was waived in favor of Sermon and Goodson. Fantasy managers should take the Colts at their word when it comes to the running back depth chart, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the second-year pro emerge as an option given Hull's success in a relatively difficult Northwestern offense (1,922 rushing yards across 417 carries in his final two collegiate years).
