The Raiders signed Joseph to the practice squad Tuesday.

Joseph will provide the Raiders with a kicking option alongside Daniel Carlson, who has made just 12 of 16 field-goal attempts this season. Carlson missed a potential game-tying 48-yard kick wide right in the fourth quarter last Thursday night against Denver. Joseph kicked in games with the Giants, Commanders and Jets last season, making 16 of his 20 field-goal tries and all 11 of his extra points.

The 49ers release Joseph on Monday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

The team signed Joseph in May to compete with incumbent Jake Moody for the placekicking job. After two weeks of training camp, the 49ers apparently have seen enough to know that Joseph isn't their guy, leaving Moody as the probable Week 1 starter.

The 49ers are slated to sign Joseph, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

In a combined eight regular-season appearances in 2024 (split between the Giants, Commanders and Jets), Joseph made 16 of 20 field-goal attempts, along with all 11 of his PAT tries. With the 49ers, Joseph will have an opportunity to compete with 2023 third-rounder Jake Moody, who has been San Francisco's kicker for the last two campaigns.

Joseph made his only field-goal attempt from 20 yards and converted all three of his PAT tries in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins.

Joseph wasn't asked to do anything difficult but converted all four of his short kicks, which is more than the Jets got out of their kickers for most of the season. The 30-year-old kicker out of Florida Atlantic will hope to secure a consistent job somewhere in 2025 after splitting eight appearances in 2024 between the Giants, Commanders and Jets. Joseph made 16 of 20 field-goal attempts overall in 2024, with a long of 52, as well as all 11 of his PAT tries.

The Jets will sign Joseph off their practice squad Tuesday and have him handle kicking duties in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Joseph signed with New York's practice squad last week and will get a quick call-up to the 53-man roster. He'll become the fifth different kicker of the season for the Jets and will replace Greg Zuerlein, who returned from an eight-week stint on injured reserve due to a left knee injury but didn't attempt any kicks in this past Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills. The Jets haven't yet announced whether Zuerlein will be cut loose, placed back on IR or be made inactive for Week 18, but he'll give way to Joseph in any case. The 30-year-old Joseph has previously made seven appearances this season between the Giants and Commanders, converting 15 of 18 field-goal tries and eight of eight extra-point attempts.

Joseph agreed to a contract Tuesday with the Jets' practice squad, according to a social media post from his agent, Brett Tessler.

Though Joseph will start out on New York's practice squad, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich implied Monday that Anders Carlson's job was in jeopardy after the kicker missed an extra-point attempt as well as a 49-yard field goal in this past Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. If the Jets elect to move on from Carlson, Joseph would likely be added to the roster prior to the Week 17 game in Buffalo and would become New York's fifth different kicker of the season. Joseph has previously appeared in seven games with the Giants and Commanders this season, converting 15 of 19 field-goal attempts and going 8-for-8 on extra-point tries.

Joseph was cut from the Commanders' practice squad Monday.

Joseph signed with Washington's practice squad Dec. 13 and was elevated for Week 15 against New Orleans. In that contest, he went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and made both his extra-point attempts, but he reverted to the practice squad shortly thereafter. Joseph's opportunity with the Commanders came as a result of injuries to Austin Seibert (groin) and Zane Gonzalez, wo was dealing with a foot issue at the time of Joseph's elevation. However, with Gonzalez back to full health and Seibert eligible to return from IR, Washington no longer has a need for Joseph's services.

The Commanders signed Joseph on Friday and quickly elevated him to the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup, a sign that perhaps Zane Gonzalez (foot) might not be available. Joseph appeared in six games for the Giants earlier this season, going 13-for-16 in field-goal attempts and making all six of his extra-point attempts.

Washington's main kicker, Zane Gonzalez, is questionable for Sunday's game against New Orleans due to a foot injury. If Gonzalez is unable to kick, Joseph appears to be the fallback plan. The Browns hosted Joseph (abdomen) for a tryout Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Joseph appears back to full health after having reached an injury settlement with the Giants early November. After losing out in the battle for the Packers' kicking job following training camp and the preseason, Joseph had to wait just two weeks before getting an opportunity with another team. With the Giants, he'll be serving as a short-term replacement for Graham Gano, who is expected to miss multiple weeks after straining his right hamstring in this past Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Commanders. The 30-year-old Joseph has appeared in 51 games with the Browns, Titans and Vikings over parts of five NFL seasons, converting 82.6 percent of his field-goal tries.

Joseph was added to the Lions' practice squad Tuesday according to his agent, Brett Tessler reports.

Joseph, a seven-year veteran, spent the prior three seasons with the Vikings. He subsequently competed for the Packers' kicking job during the offseason but was ultimately cut. Detroit's kicker, Jake Bates, was a perfect 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts in his debut in Week 1. Joseph would now be in line to fill in should he be required to do so.

The Packers released Joseph on Wednesday.

It looked like Joseph won a kicker battle with Anders Carlson, but now they've both been released and replaced by waiver claim Brayden Narveson, an undrafted rookie free agent who made six of seven field-goal attempts for the Titans this preseason. Narveson's only miss came from 58 yards, and he converted a 59-yarder. It remains to be seen if his strong leg will translate to consistency in the NFL.

Joseph had a bit of a bounce back in Week 9 after struggling the three games prior, knocking through a few chip shots in a high-scoring affair. One of his kicks even gave Minnesota a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter. Minnesota will host a solid New Orleans defense in Week 10, stifling Joseph's fantasy projection somewhat.

In his defense though, one of his field-goal attempts was blocked Sunday, and conditions were unfavorable for special-teams operations as they tend to be in late October in Green Bay. Either way, down the stretch, Minnesota will justifiably expect him to make kicks at a better rate than he has over the last few weeks.

Joseph converted field goals from 21, 20 and 54 yards prior to sending a 50-yarder wide right late in the fourth quarter. Although he also misfired on a PAT, the Vikings still managed to pull out a surprise victory. Through seven games, Joseph has now made 25 of 29 total attempts, registering 43 points.

Joseph had only attempted two field goals all season coming into the day, but fortunately for fantasy managers, he saw more action in Week 5 and came through when called upon. The Florida Atlantic product made his first kick from 40 yards out and then followed up with another from 29 yards, making him 4-for-4 on attempts this season. He also remained perfect on PATs, connecting on both and bringing his total on the season to 14-for-14. Next up for Joseph and the Vikings is a divisional matchup with the Bears.

Joseph has attempted just one field goal through two games, as Minnesota has been effective at punching in touchdowns while simultaneously struggling with turnovers en route to a 0-2 start. Punt returner Brandon Powell fumbled in field-goal range in the first quarter, and Justin Jefferson had a fumble go through the end zone for a touchback in the final minute of the first half, erasing what could have been a pair of potential opportunities for the 29-year-old kicker.

Joseph made his only field-goal attempt and both of his two extra-point tries in Sunday's 20-17 loss versus Tampa Bay.

In a Week 1 game that saw Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense turn the ball over three times and struggle throughout, Joseph didn't see many opportunities to score. His lone field-goal attempt came in the second quarter from 25 yards out, and he remained perfect from under 30 yards (23-for-23) on his career. Minnesota has a tough matchup on tap in Week 2 when they play at Philadelphia on a short week Thursday.

Joseph's deal is worth up to $2.5 million with incentives and will keep the Vikings' often reliable kicker in Minnesota for the 2023 campaign. The 28-year-old finished the 2022 season with converting on 26 of his 33 field-goal attempts and 40 of his 46 extra-point tries. Joseph set the NFL record with five game-winning field goals last season, and he'll look to make an impact again in 2023.

We're looking at some guys in free agency and the draft." The 25-year-old, who was with the Browns in 2018, ended up seeing action in five games with Tennessee (including the playoffs) last season, making his only field-goal attempt and converting all 18 of his extra point tries in that span.
