Set for Week 8 return
Yiadom was not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom has been sidelined since Week 5, but he practiced in full Friday. That indicated he was nearing a return, which should now come in Week 8 against Tampa Bay.
Oct 19, 2025
Won't play Week 7
Yiadom (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom was a full participant in Friday's practice, but he has not progressed enough in his recovery from a hamstring injury to return for Week 7. His absence means Quincy Riley will continue to see extended work out of the nickel cornerback position. Yiadom's next opportunity to play is Week 8 against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Oct 17, 2025
Could return in Week 7
Yiadom (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite practicing in full Friday, Yiadom is still is jeopardy of missing third consecutive game due to a hamstring issue. The ninth-year pro has tallied 16 total tackles through four appearances with New Orleans this season. If active, he's likely to start as the team's No. 1 slot corner.
Oct 16, 2025
Returns to practice
Yiadom (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
The cornerback missed Wednesday's session as well as the last two games. Yiadom now appears on the right track ahead of Sunday's clash with the Bears. The slot corner recorded 16 tackles (11 solo) across New Orleans' first four games.
Oct 15, 2025
Still sidelined by hamstring
Yiadom (hamstring) did not participate at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom missed his second straight game in Week 6 due to a lingering hamstring injury, and now his availability for Week 7 is also in doubt. He'll probably need to return to practice Thursday or Friday to have any chance of suiting up Sunday at Chicago.
Oct 10, 2025
Sidelined for Week 6
Yiadom (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran cornerback from Boston College logged consecutive DNPs to open the Saints' week of practice and is now in line to miss his second game in a row Sunday. Yiadom appeared in each of New Orleans' first four contests this season, recording 16 total tackles across 140 defensive snaps. Rookie fourth-round pick Quincy Riley is expected to draw his second start at slot corner in Yiadom's stead.
Oct 8, 2025
Sidelined to begin week
Yiadom (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom was sidelined for New Orleans' Week 5 win over the Giants. His inability to practice Wednesday isn't encouraging, but he'll have the chance to ramp up his activity as the week progresses toward Sunday's matchup against New England.
Oct 3, 2025
Won't play against NYG
Yiadom (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Paras, Yiadom sustained a hamstring injury during practice this past week. The injury prevented Yiadom from participating in practice Thursday and Friday, and the 2018 third-rounder will not take the field for Week 5 as a result. Quincy Riley has seen the field on defense in each of the last two games, and he figures to be the top candidate for an increased role in the secondary Sunday in Yiadom's absence. Week 6 against the Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 12 is Yiadom's next opportunity to play.
Oct 2, 2025
Dealing with hamstring injury
Yiadom was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom may have picked up the injury during the Saints' Week 4 loss to the Bills, when he logged three tackles (one solo) while playing just 21 snaps (12 on defense, nine on special teams). He didn't practice Wednesday, but his ability to log a limited session Thursday indicates that he is progressing in his recovery. Friday's injury report will provide clarity on Yiadom's chances of playing against the Giants on Sunday in New Orleans. Rookie fourth-rounder Quincy Riley played a season-high 24 snaps on defense in Week 4 and would likely see even more playing time Sunday if Yiadom is not cleared to play.

Signs with New Orleans
Yiadom agreed to a three-year, $9 million deal with the Saints on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The seventh-year veteran is heading back to New Orleans, having spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Saints. The deal includes $4.86 million guaranteed with a maximum value of $10.5 million. Yiadom, who played well in limited exposure with the 49ers last year, is expected to provide some versatility to a secondary that at minimum needs some depth, if not outright flexibility to move a preferred option, whether that be Alontae Taylor, or a projected draft pick, into the starting slot.
Jan 8, 2025
Ties career high in total tackles
Yiadom accumulated 46 tackles (38 solo), six pass defenses (including one interception), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games in 2024.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom joined the 49ers in March of 2024 on a one-year, $1.3 million contract after spending the past two seasons with the Saints and Texans. The 2018 third-round pick managed to tie his career high in combined tackles that he set in 2020 with the Giants. However, Yiadom's snap count on defense was inconsistent throughout the year, and he failed to log at least 10 defensive snaps in four of the final five games of the regular season. The veteran will enter the offseason as a free agent and will look to join a team in need of veteran depth in the secondary.

Able to suit up in Week 18
Yiadom (pelvis) is active for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom dealt with a pelvis issue throughout the week and was deemed questionable on San Francisco's final injury report Friday. However, he's feeling well enough to be able to suit up for the team's final game of the 2024 season. Deommodore Lenoir (shoulder) is inactive Sunday, which could result in Yiadom getting more than his usual allotment of defensive snaps.
Jan 3, 2025
Questionable for Week 18
Yiadom (pelvis) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom injured his pelvis during the 49ers' loss to the Lions this past Monday. He was able to log consecutive practices to end the week which earned him the questionable tag heading into Sunday's regular-season finale. With Deommodore Lenoir (shoulder) already ruled out, Rock Ya-Sin would be in line to step into a starting role in the 49ers' secondary if Yiadom is unable to play.
Jan 2, 2025
Gets in limited session
Yiadom (pelvis) upgraded to a limited practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom was a non-participant in Wednesday's session, so he appears to have a chance to play Sunday against the Cardinals after playing 68 percent of the defensive snaps last Monday against Detroit. With Deommodore Lenoir (shoulder) logging back-to-back DNPs to open the practice week, Yiadom could be in for more work against Arizona if he's cleared to play.
Jan 1, 2025
Misses practice Wednesday
Yiadom (pelvis) did not participate at the 49ers practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Yiabom appears to have picked up a pelvis injury in Monday's 40-34 loss to the Lions, a contest in which he recorded seven total tackles (six solo). The cornerback will look to return to practice in some capacity this week ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale in Arizona. If he's unable to go, Nick McCloud and Rock Ya-Sin would see an increase in workload in Yiabom's absence.
Nov 25, 2024
Leads team in tackles in loss
Yiadom finished with nine tackles (six solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The cornerback's tackle total was a season high. On the year, Yiadom has 34 stops (27 solo), six pass breakups, including an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Jun 3, 2024
Might play third corner role
Yiadom is seen as a strong third corner option by the 49ers, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
The seventh-year pro signed with San Francisco in March after playing the last two seasons with New Orleans. In 2023, Yiadom played in all 17 games and recorded 37 tackles and a career-high 14 passes defensed.
Mar 15, 2024
Agrees to terms with San Francisco
The 49ers signed Yiadom on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran cornerback has found a new home in San Francisco after spending the last two years of his career in New Orleans. Yiadom is coming off one of the most productive seasons of his career, tallying 37 total tackles and 14 passes defended, including one interception, while appearing in all 17 of the Saints' games. Expect Yiadom to compete for starting role in the 49ers' secondary this offseason.
Jan 7, 2024
Sustains injury Week 18
Yiadom was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Falcons with a concussion, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom largely played on special teams during the first half of the season, but he's seen more action on defense over the past six games, playing at least 71 percent of defensive snaps in each contest. This allowed the 2018 third-round pick to tally a career-high 14 passes defended to go along with 36 tackles. With top cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) still on IR, the Saints will be left with three healthy cornerbacks between Paulson Adebo, Alontae Taylor and Shemar Jean-Charles.
Mar 23, 2023
Inks new deal
The Saints signed Yiadom on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom is now set to remain in New Orleans for the time being following Thursday's transaction. The 27-year-old began last season as a member of the Texans before he was let go in November. The Saints signed him to their practice squad two days later, and Yiadom eventually served as a special-teams contributor across the team's final six games in 2022.
Nov 15, 2022
Let go Tuesday
Yiadom was waived by the Texans on Tuesday, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom was let go to help make room on Houston's 53-man roster for running back Eno Benjamin, who was claimed off waivers Tuesday. The 26-year-old cornerback recorded 10 tackles while primarily playing on special teams over 16 games with the Packers last season, and he has yet to log a defensive statistic in 2022. Yiadom will now pass through waivers before hitting free agency, should he go unclaimed.
Oct 2, 2022
Missing second straight
Yiadom (thigh) is inactive Sunday against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom practiced in full Friday after logging two limited sessions earlier in the week. Nevertheless, he's set to miss his second consecutive game, which will primarily impact Houston's special teams unit.
Sep 30, 2022
Gets in full practice
Yiadom (thigh) logged a full practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom is still listed questionable for Sunday's contest with the Chargers, despite his upgrade to full participant. The 26-year-old's potential absence would likely only impact the Texans' special-teams unit.
Sep 24, 2022
Sitting out Week 3
Yiadom (thigh) is out for Sunday's matchup against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
While it is unclear when he sustained the injury, Yiadom did not practice in any fashion Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The 26-year-old cornerback was able to play 50 special-teams snaps through the first two matchups of the 2022 campaign. Steven Nelson, the No. 1 left cornerback for the team, will continue to be counted on heavily.
Nov 13, 2021
Activated from COVID list
Yiadom (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list last week but will be available Sunday against the Seahawks following a one-game absence. The 25-year-old has logged just nine tackles (eight solo) to begin the season.
Nov 4, 2021
Moves to COVID list
Yiadom (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear whether Yiadom tested positive for the virus or is considered a close contact, but regardless he'll be away from the team until he clears the necessary protocols. The 25-year-old has seen a diminished defensive role of late and exclusively played special teams Week 8 versus the Cardinals.
Oct 17, 2021
Likely to see more work
Yiadom is likely to start in place of Kevin King (shoulder) in Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Jason Wilde of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom has seen around 20 defensive snaps per game to this point in the campaign as a rotational corner. However, with King sidelined Yiadom should be in line for his biggest role of the campaign. Rasul Douglas is also a candidate to see more snaps.
Aug 17, 2021
Shipped to Green Bay
Yiadom was acquired by the Packers from the Giants on Tuesday in exchange for cornerback Josh Jackson, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The two teams will swap depth corners, with Yiadom heading to Green Bay after totaling 46 tackles, a half-sack, a forced fumble and five pass breakups in 16 games last season. He should compete with Chandon Sullivan for a depth role in the Packers' secondary behind Jaire Alexander, Kevin King and rookie first-rounder Eric Stokes.
Jan 15, 2021
Best tackle totals of career
Yiadom had 46 tackles (29 solo), 0.5 sacks, five defensed passes and one forced fumble across 16 games with the Giants in 2020.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom's first season in New York was a successful one, as he put forth the strongest statline of his career while handling 633 defensive snaps. He remains under contract through the 2021 season with the Giants.
Nov 15, 2020
Officially ready for Sunday
Yiadom (calf) is active for Sunday's game versus the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom is expected to start a third straight game at cornerback. Over his previous two starts, the Boston College product posted 14 tackles, a half sack and a pass breakup. His work in coverage has been less appealing this year, however, as he's allowed a 146.2 passer rating and three touchdowns when targeted.
Nov 15, 2020
Trending in right direction
There is optimism that Yiadom (calf) will suit up for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom came into the contest questionable with the calf issue, so it's likely that the cornerback will test the injury in pre-game warmups before making the final call. Yiadom has performed well since taking over as a starter in Week 8, supplying 14 tackles (eight solo), 0.5 sack and a pass break ups while playing 100 percent of defensive snaps. If the Boston College product suffers a setback, Darnay Holmes or Brandon Williams would be in line for the start.
Sep 27, 2020
Likely new starter
Yiadom is warming up with the first-team defense ahead of Sunday's contest against San Francisco, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Adding in the fact that Yiadom outsnapped Corey Ballentine in Week 2, all signs point to Yiadom as the starting corner opposite James Bradberry going forward. Although Yiadom finished with just two solo tackles in last week's loss to Chicago, this news grants a slight uptick for the 24-year-old's IDP value as long as he's in a starting role.
Sep 2, 2020
Sent to New York
Yiadom was traded to the Giants via the Broncos on Wednesday in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round pick, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The Giants saw both Sam Beal and Shakial Taylor opt out of the 2020 season this offseason, so they chose to boost their cornerback room with Yiadom. The 24-year-old was decent in mostly a starting role for the Broncos in 2020, logging 43 total tackles and four passes defensed across 16 games. He'll likely battle for playing time in a depth fashion to begin the season with James Bradberry and Corey Ballentine expected to handle starting duties.
Jan 26, 2020
Ends season with four PDs
Yiadom recorded 43 total tackles and four passes defensed in 2019.
ANALYSIS
Yiadom began the season as the starter opposite Chris Harris Jr. only to lose the job to DeVante Bausby and, later, Davontae Harris before reclaiming the job at the end of the season. Drafted in 2018 when Denver was a press-man team, Yiadom looked out of place at times in Vic Fangio's scheme. It'll be an interesting offseason for Yiadom and the Broncos' secondary as Bausby (neck) and Bryce Callahan (foot) return from injury and Harris Jr. tests free agency. Depending on who stays, who goes, and who comes in, Yiadom can enter 2020 anywhere from CB3 to off the squad.
