Cleared for Week 10
Redmond (shin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Redmond logged 58 defensive snaps with three total tackles (two solo) including 1.0 sacks in the Vikings victory against the Lions this past Sunday. While it is unclear when he suffered the shin injury, it appears to me resolved as he is clear of injury designation and ready to play Sunday. The starting nose tackle will look to have another strong performance this Sunday against a rejuvenated Ravens team.

Contributes across 13 games
Redmond made 18 tackles (10 solo), including 1.0 sacks, across 13 regular-season appearances with the Vikings in 2024. He also had two passes defensed.
ANALYSIS
Redmond, who missed his rookie season due to injury back in 2023, made his first career NFL appearances with Minnesota in 2024. As a pending exclusive-rights free agent, Redmond won't be able to negotiate with other clubs if the Vikings offer him a one-year contract at the league minimum salary.

Returning in Week 17
Redmond (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Redmond was sidelined for Minnesota's Week 16 win over the Seahawks after sustaining a concussion the week prior. However, he practiced in full both Thursday and Friday and has no injury designation for Sunday's divisional matchup, suggesting he's cleared the NFL's five-step protocol. Expect Redmond to serve as one of the Vikings' top reserve defensive ends in the Week 17 contest.

Won't play Sunday
Redmond (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Redmond entered the NFL's five-step concussion protocol following the Vikings' Week 15 win over the Bears and was unable to practice all week, making it no surprise that he'll be sidelined in Week 16. Jihad Ward is likely to serve as Minnesota's top rotational defensive end in Redmond's stead Sunday.

In concussion protocol
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Tuesday that Redmond (concussion) is in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Redmond notched two tackles (one solo) while playing 41 percent of defensive snaps during Monday's 30-12 win over the Bears, but it appears that he sustained a concussion in the process. The rotational defensive lineman will now need to fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol before being eligible to return to game action, making his status uncertain for Sunday's road matchup against Seattle.

Fails physical
Redmon (undisclosed) has been waived by the Panthers with a failed physical designation, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Assuming Redmon clears waivers, he will be right back to where he started when training camp commenced, the physically-unable-to-perform list. However, this time it would be the reserve/PUP list, so he would not be allowed to practice with the team. The sooner the undrafted free agent can get his health back up to par the better, as he is considered a long shot in terms of making Carolina's final 53-man roster.
