Heading to New York
Hudson has reached an agreement on a two-year deal with the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The offensive tackle will provide depth to a New York line that dealt with injuries the last two years, per Garafolo. Hudson, who started 18 games in four seasons with the Browns, could compete with right tackle Evan Neal or swing tackle Jermaine Eluemunor. Hudson only played in four games last year after injuring his shoulder in September, though he appears to be healthy again.

Placed on injured reserve
Cleveland placed Hudson (shoulder) on IR on Saturday, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski hinted that this move could be coming last week when it was revealed that Hudson had aggravated a shoulder injury and would miss Week 5 against Washington. With his move to IR now official, Hudson will need to miss the Browns' next four contests and isn't eligible to return until Nov. 17.

Won't play in Week 6
Hudson (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson hasn't been able to practice since aggravating his shoulder injury during the Browns' Week 4 loss to the Raiders. The fourth-year pro had surgery on his injured shoulder Thursday and is a candidate to be placed on injured reserve, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Now that Hudson has officially been ruled out for Week 6, expect Jedrick Wills (knee) or Germain Ifedi to serve as the Browns' top left tackle.

Has surgery
Hudson had surgery on his injured right shoulder Thursday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
The left tackle missed the Browns' Week 5 loss to the Commanders after aggravating the injury in the team's Week 4 defeat to the Raiders. Last week, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski said Hudson could be placed on IR, per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. Jedrick Wills (knee) or Germain Ifedi should be in line to serve as Cleveland's top left tackle in Week 6 against Philadelphia.

Missing Week 5
Hudson (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Commanders, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters this week that Hudson could also be placed on injured reserve after aggravating his shoulder injury during Cleveland's Week 4 loss to the Raiders, per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. With Hudson set to miss the foreseeable future, expect either Jedrick Wills (knee) or Germain Ifedi to serve as Cleveland's top left tackle in Week 5.

Will play vs. Las Vegas
Hudson (shoulder) was a limited participant in Friday's practice but does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Raiders, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson injured his shoulder during the Browns' Week 3 loss to the Giants. He was a limited participant in all three practice sessions, and that is apparently good enough for him to avoid an injury tag heading into Sunday's game. Hudson will start at tackle opposite Dawand Jones with both Jedrick Wills (knee) and Jack Conklin (hamstring) not playing.

Suffers injury Sunday
Hudson (shoulder) will undergo an MRI after suffering a shoulder injury during Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Giants, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson stepped in at left tackle after Jedrick Wills (knee) exited the game. The Browns continue to be decimated by injuries, especially to their offensive line, as they also lost Wyatt Teller (knee) during the game, while Jack Conklin (knee) remains out. More details on Hudson's injury and recovery timeline should come after his MRI results are reported.

Starting at left tackle Sunday
Hudson will start at left tackle for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jedrick Wills (knee) unavailable, it will be Hudson who protects Deshaun Watson's blind side in Week 1. Dawand Jones will hold down the other side of the offensive line at right tackle.

Suffers ankle injury
Hudson has been ruled out from returning to Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings due to an ankle injury, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson was hurt on a passing play late in the second quarter and was subsequently ruled out from a return shortly after halftime. The fourth-year pro started the exhibition game at right tackle with projected regular-season starting tackles Jedrick Wills (knee) and Jack Conklin (knee) both on the PUP list. When all three players are healthy, Hudson is expected to work in a backup role.

Practices Thursday
Hudson (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson missed Cleveland's Week 3 win over Tennessee. The third-year pro with four career starts played a depth role over the first two games.
Sep 24, 2023
Won't face Titans
Hudson (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Hudson entered Sunday with a questionable tag, though after failing to practice Friday his status was in doubt. He has served as depth along Cleveland's offensive line through two games this season.
Dec 23, 2021
Activated by Browns
The Browns activated Hudson (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hudson was unavailable for Monday's game against the Raiders after he tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll be able to return to the field Saturday against Green Bay. The 22-year-old should reclaim his role as the starting right tackle.
Dec 20, 2021
Not cleared for Week 15
Hudson (illness) wasn't reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be available for Monday's game against the Raiders, Scott Patsko of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Even with the NFL pushing back Cleveland's Week 15 game an extra two days in addition to relaxing the return-to-play protocols for vaccinated individuals who test positive for COVID-19, Hudson and several other key Browns players weren't able to clear the necessary protocols prior to Monday's 5 p.m. ET kickoff. Along with Hudson, fellow starting tackle Jedrick Wills (illness) wasn't activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, so Cleveland will likely turn to Alex Taylor and Blake Hance to protect fill-in starting quarterback Nick Mullens.
Dec 18, 2021
Placed on COVID-19 list
Hudson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Hudson tested positive for the virus Saturday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. If this is the case, the Browns will be without the rookie offensive tackle for Monday's game against the Raiders unless he is able to receive two negative tests twice within 24 hours. This would be another large loss for Cleveland's offensive line as starting right tackle Jack Conklin is out while on injured reserve. The Browns will likely turn to veteran Blake Hance who has started games at multiple positions this season as the team has dealt with injuries along the offensive line.
Dec 9, 2021
Likely fill-in for Conklin
Hudson could be the starting right tackle in place of the injured Jack Conklin (knee) for Week 14 against the Ravens, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Hudson, a fourth-round draft pick in 2021 who converted from defensive lineman to offensive tackle during his final year at Cincinnati, has been used sparingly this season. He made one start in place of Conklin earlier this season and appeared in eight games, but the rookie has not played in the last three contests and was inactive in Cleveland's previous game before the bye. Blake Hance, a natural guard, had been used as the sixth lineman, filling in where needed, but head coach Kevin Stefanski did not commit to him playing right tackle this coming Sunday. With a banged up tight-end room, Hance may be used as a third tight end, something Harrison Bryant alluded to when he said, "We all got to do what we've got to do. Blake [Hance], we've got an extra lineman to come in and give us good jumbo looks and do things like that when we want to get into those types of deals."
