Battling cramps on SNF
Raymond (cramping) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Raymond is dealing with cramps in the fourth quarter. He wasn't targeted prior to the injury on a tough night for Detroit's offense but Raymond contributed two kickoff returns for 36 yards and three punt returns for three yards on special teams.
Nov 10, 2025
Four catches in win
Raymond caught all four of his targets for 49 yards and had a 10-yard rush in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Raymond posted season highs in both receptions and receiving yards in Week 10 after he had reeled in just three of four targets for 17 total yards over the team's last four games. The wide receiver remains the team's No. 3 option at his position behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, and considering Sunday represented high-water marks for 31-year-old, his fantasy value remains rather low.
Nov 3, 2025
No catches vs. Minnesota
Raymond failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond's role on Detroit's offense has diminished since the beginning of the season, as he's caught just three of four targets for 17 yards over the team's last four contests. He was relatively ineffective as a kick returner in Week 9 as well, tallying only 15 yards across two returns. Despite this underwhelming stretch, the veteran wideout from Holy Cross is expected to remain the Lions' No. 3 receiver and top kick returner heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Commanders.
Oct 21, 2025
Secures three catches in win
Raymond caught all three of his targets for 17 yards in Monday night's 24-9 win over Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was able to secure his first catches since Week 4, playing 42 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 7. The wide receiver still appears to have the edge on rookie Isaac TeSlaa for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart, logging 18 more offensive snaps than TeSlaa in the contest. Raymond has now caught nine of 12 targets for 64 yards over seven games this season.
Oct 13, 2025
Limited action in Week 6
Raymond didn't garner a target during Sunday night's 30-17 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was cleared to play after suffering a neck injury in Week 5, but he only logged two snaps on offense and one snap with the special-teams unit. The wide receiver will look to be more involved Week 7 versus the Buccaneers after having an additional week to return to form following his injury.
Oct 12, 2025
Good to go against KC
Raymond (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was limited in the final two practices of the week due to a neck issue, but he has been cleared to play in Sunday night's road tilt. The veteran wideout has six catches (on nine targets) for 47 yards and 125 punt return yards and a touchdown through the first five games of the regular season.
Oct 10, 2025
Questionable for SNF
Raymond (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was limited in practice Thursday and Friday after kicking off Week 6 prep with a DNP. If healthy enough to play Sunday night, Raymond should continue to provide depth at wide receiver while working as Detroit's primary punt returner.
Oct 9, 2025
Bumps up to limited Thursday
Raymond (neck) was limited in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
It's an upgrade for Raymond after he logged a DNP on Wednesday following his injury in last Sunday's win over the Bengals. Raymond has been operating as the Lions' third receiver early on this season, securing six of nine targets for 47 yards, but rookie Isaac TeSlaa figures to make a move on the veteran at some point in 2025. In addition to his duties on offense, Raymond has returned two kickoffs for 60 yards and 12 punts for 125 yards and one touchdown.
Oct 8, 2025
DNP to open week
Raymond (neck) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wide receiver sustained a neck injury on a punt return during the second quarter of the Lions' Week 5 win over the Bengals. Raymond wasn't able to return to the game, and the injury has prevented him from participating in the first practice of the week. He'll have two more opportunities to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's road tilt against the Chiefs. Running back Jacob Saylors could fill in on punts as a returner if Raymond is not cleared to play.
Oct 5, 2025
Out of Sunday's game
Raymond won't return to Sunday's contest at Cincinnati due to a neck injury.
ANALYSIS
Raymond remained on the turf from some time after taking a hit on an 11-yard punt return in second quarter before walking off the field under his own power. His only contribution to Sunday's box score was the aforementioned return, as he had no targets at the time of his exit.
Oct 5, 2025
Hurts neck in Week 5
Raymond sustained a neck injury during Sunday's game in Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was shaken up after a punt return in the second quarter and remained on the turf for a spell before walking off the field under his own power. If he's unable to get back on the field, he'll end Week 5 with no targets and the one punt return for 11 yards.
Sep 29, 2025
Punt-return touchdown in win
Raymond caught two of three targets for 13 yards and also added a 65-yard punt-return touchdown in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was able to match his season highs in catches and targets, but he was still a rather unimpactful part of what the team did on offense. The wide receiver did make his mark on special teams, returning a punt for a 65-yard score in the fourth quarter, which was his first trip to the end zone in any capacity since Week 8 of the 2024 campaign. Through four games this season, Raymond has reeled in six of nine targets for 47 yards, while also compiling 60 yards on kickoff returns and 114 yards as a punt returner.
Sep 22, 2025
Little impact in Week 3
Raymond caught one of two targets for four yards in Monday's 38-30 win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Raymond remains an afterthought on offense for Detroit, and his production dropped for the third week in a row. The wide receiver is firmly behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams on the depth chart, and his weekly upside is greatly reduced as a result. On the year, he's caught four of six targets for 34 yards, while also adding a nine-yard carry over three games.
Sep 15, 2025
One catch in dominant win
Raymond caught his only target for 14 yards and turned one carry into nine yards in Sunday's 52-21 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was once again quiet in Week 2, playing just 32 offensive snaps in Detroit's dominant victory. The wide receiver snagged his only catch of the day on the team's third possession of the contest, but he did garner 15 more offensive snaps than rookie Isaac TeSlaa, so Raymond does still appear to be the No. 3 option at his position behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. With many mouths to feed on offense in Detroit, Raymond doesn't offer much weekly upside for fantasy managers, and his greatest impact for the team comes as a punt returner.
Sep 8, 2025
Two catches in loss
Raymond caught two of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was pretty much an afterthought on offense in Week 1, garnering just three looks from quarterback Jared Goff, which ranked sixth on the team. The wide receiver is firmly behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams on the depth chart, while rookie Isaac TeSlaa figures to see a larger role as the season goes on. Raymond remains more of a special-teams asset than an offensive weapon as the 2025 campaign has gotten underway.
Jan 19, 2025
Three catches in playoff loss
Raymond caught all three of his targets for 37 yards while also adding a 21-yard kick return in Saturday's 45-31 NFC divisional-round playoff loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Raymond reeled in his most receptions since Week 7 on Saturday, finishing fourth on the team in catches behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta. The wide receiver made his return to the field in Week 18 after missing five games with a foot injury. When healthy, Raymond provides the Lions with another field-stretcher at wide receiver and he'll enter 2025 on the final year of his contract with Detroit.
Jan 6, 2025
One catch in return to action
Raymond caught his only target for 11 yards while also compiling 23 yards on three punt returns in Sunday night's 31-9 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond made his return to action after missing four games with a foot injury, producing a relatively quiet line in Detroit's dominant win. When active, the wide receiver has operated as a relatively quiet depth option behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams this year. With the regular season now officially over, Raymond will complete his 2024 campaign having produced 17 receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns while also compiling 413 yards and a touchdown as the team's primary punt returner over 12 games. Raymond will look to be more involved on offense when Detroit returns to play in two weeks for a matchup in the NFC divisional round.
Jan 5, 2025
Back in action Sunday
Raymond (foot) is active for Sunday night's matchup against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond will officially make his return from a four-game absence with a foot injury. The wide receiver will likely be back in his role as the team's primary punt returner while also slotting back in as a dynamic option behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams with Detroit's offense.
Jan 4, 2025
Activated off IR
The Lions activated Raymond (foot) from injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was a full participant in practice this week, and while he's still listed as questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Vikings, all signs point to him playing. He has been on injured reserve since late November due to a foot injury he suffered against the Colts in Week 12. Raymond's return Sunday gives the Lions another punt return option and depth at wide receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.
Jan 3, 2025
Questionable but still on IR
Raymond (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond practiced without limitations all week, but he'll need to be removed from injured reserve and added back to the roster in order to make his return from a foot injury that has sidelined him since Week 12. Even if Raymond gets clearance to play, he'll likely work behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Tim Patrick on Detroit's wide receiver depth chart in a game that will determine the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Jan 2, 2025
Gets in another full practice
Raymond (foot) remained a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was designated for return from injured reserve last Thursday and has been practicing fully ever since. However, Raymond was ruled out for last Monday night's game against the 49ers and remains on the injured list for the Lions. He could have a chance to return for Sunday night's showdown with the Vikings.
Jan 1, 2025
Full go for Wednesday
Raymond (foot) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimation.
ANALYSIS
Raymond has missed the Lions' last five games due to a foot injury sustained in a Week 12 win over the Colts. However, he was designated to return from injured reserve Dec. 26 and practiced in full Wednesday, suggesting he's nearing a return to the field. Raymond must still be added to Detroit's active roster in order to play in Week 18, when the Lions face the Vikings.
Dec 28, 2024
Won't play Monday vs. Niners
Raymond (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the 49ers despite being a full participant in Saturday's practice, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond's 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve opened Tuesday, and he was a full participant in practice all week. However, he will not be activated off IR for Monday's game and his next opportunity to play will be in Week 18 against the Vikings.
Dec 26, 2024
Full-go in return to practice
Raymond (foot), who is still on IR, was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was designated to return from injured reserve ahead of the practice session, and he wasn't held back as a full participant. That bodes well for his chance of returning to action Monday against San Francisco, though the Lions would first need to activate the 30-year-old in order for him to be eligible to suit up. Prior to landing on IR, Raymond had been contributing as a depth option at wide receiver while also handling the majority of Detroit's punt returns.
Dec 26, 2024
Has 21-day practice window opened
The Lions designated Raymond (foot) to return from injured reserve Thursday, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was placed on injured reserve in late November due to a foot injury he suffered in Week 12 against the Colts. Head coach Dan Campbell relayed Thursday that he doesn't expect Raymond to play against the 49ers on Monday, but the 30-year-old wide receiver could be activated off IR ahead of Detroit's regular-season finale against Minnesota on Jan. 5. Prior to his injury, Raymond caught 16 passes (on 21 targets) for 204 yards and two touchdowns while adding 26 kick return yards and 390 punt return yards and a touchdown across 11 regular-season games.
Nov 27, 2024
Sent to injured reserve
The Lions placed Raymond (foot) on injured reserve Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond will miss at least the Lions' next four games and will be eligible to return in Week 17 against the 49ers. In a corresponding move, the Lions signed WR Maurice Alexander off the practice squad to the active roster. He and veteran Allen Robinson will be candidates to see increased work as Detroit's No. 4 receiver, but Detroit could simply opt to use more multi-RB and multi-TE sets.
Nov 27, 2024
Bound for IR
The Lions are expected to place Raymond (foot) on injured reserve prior to Thursday's game against the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond had been listed as a non-participant on the Lions' first two Week 13 practice reports, and head coach Dan Campbell intimated Tuesday that he wasn't confident the wideout would be ready to play Thanksgiving Day. Campbell also added that Raymond was scheduled to receive a second opinion on the foot injury he sustained in Sunday's win over the Colts, and the receiver's expected move to IR suggests the Lions weren't overly encouraged by his prognosis. On a positive note, Rapoport adds that Raymond is still expected to return for the playoffs at the very latest, and he might be ready to come off IR when first eligible in Week 17. Raymond's expected absence for the next few weeks should open more reps for Allen Robinson as the Lions' No. 4 receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee), Jameson Williams and Tim Patrick.
Nov 26, 2024
In jeopardy of missing Week 13
Raymond (foot) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough.
ANALYSIS
Raymond suffered a foot injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 24-6 win over the Colts. Head coach Dan Campbell relayed Tuesday that he doesn't feel good about Raymond's chances of playing Thursday against the Bears, and the team is waiting on a second opinion for the 30-year-old wideout's foot injury, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Raymond has served as the Lions' primary punt returner this season and has registered 390 punt return yards and one touchdown while adding 16 catches (on 21 targets) for 204 yards and two touchdowns across 11 regular-season games. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Khalil Dorsey and Craig Reynolds would be the top candidates to take over punt return duties should Raymond be sidelined.
Nov 25, 2024
Estimated as DNP
Raymond (foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimation, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old exited Detroit's Week 12 win over the Colts after sustaining a foot injury in the third quarter, so Monday's estimated DNP comes as no surprise. Raymond will likely have to practice in some capacity in order to suit up for Thursday's game against the Bears. If he's unable to do so, Amon-Ra St. Brown will likely serve as the Lions' top punt returner.
Nov 24, 2024
Will not return Sunday
Raymond (foot) has been downgraded to out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The wide receiver and punt returner got injured on a third quarter punt return. Raymond did not catch his only target on the day before exiting, though he did return two punts for 30 yards. Allen Robinson might see more snaps in his absence.
Nov 24, 2024
Injures foot Sunday, iffy to return
Raymond is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 12 matchup against Indianapolis due to a foot injury, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond's injury occurred on a third-quarter punt return. He got one target (which he didn't catch) in addition to returning two punts for 30 yards prior to his exit. If Raymond can't get back into the game Sunday, Allen Robinson could see more snaps on offense.
Nov 18, 2024
Two catches in Week 11
Raymond caught both of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 52-6 win over Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was able to secure a pair of catches after going without a reception in Week 10 against the Texans, notching his highest yardage total since Week 7. The wide receiver continues to operate as a small piece in a massively successful Detroit offense, reeling in 16 catches for 204 yards over 10 games in 2024.
Nov 13, 2024
Absent from injury report
Raymond (cramps) wasn't listed on Detroit's initial Week 11 injury report issued Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond left Sunday's 26-23 game against the Texans after experiencing cramping, but his absence from the injury report suggests he's fully healthy heading into a Week 11 matchup with the Jaguars. With Jameson Williams returning from a two-game suspension last week, Raymond saw his snap share on offense drop to 26 percent, his lowest rate since Week 7. While he'll continue to serve as Detroit's top punt returner, Raymond's role on offense could become more muted while all of Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Tim Patrick are available.
Nov 10, 2024
Questionable to return Sunday night
Raymond (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Detroit's punt returner returned three on the evening for 15 total yards. Raymond has 330 punt return yards and a touchdown this season, as well as 14 catches for 174 yards and two scores. Craig Reynolds is Detroit's backup kick returner to Khalil Dorsey.
Nov 4, 2024
One catch in Week 9
Raymond caught his only target for 12 yards while also recording a loss of 12 yards on a carry in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was unable to make it three games in a row with a receiving touchdown, seeing just one target while playing 21 offensive snaps in Week 9. The wide receiver didn't see a major bump in usage over the last two weeks with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable, reeling in all three of his targets for 26 yards and a touchdown. With Williams set to return in Week 10, Raymond will revert back to being the No. 3 option at wide receiver with Detroit moving forward.
Oct 27, 2024
Scores twice in Week 8
Raymond caught both of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown while also notching a 90-yard punt return touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was expected to take on a larger offensive workload with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable and he made the most of his limited touches in Week 8. The wide receiver opened the scoring in the second half, returning a punt for a score, before later adding a seven-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Raymond will have one more opportunity to step up in the absence of Williams in Week 9 versus the Packers.
Oct 27, 2024
Role could increase sans Williams
Raymond could be the beneficiary of increased snaps due to Jameson Williams serving a two-game suspension and set to miss contests Sunday against the Titans and in Week 9 at Green Bay, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Amon-Ra St. Brown remains locked in as the Lions' No. 1 wideout, but Williams' absence will likely free up more snaps and perhaps an extra target or two for the likes of Raymond, Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson, while tight end Sam LaPorta could also see more involvement in the passing game after a slow start to the season. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Raymond -- who clocked a 4.34-second 40-yard dash time coming out of college in 2016 -- is probably the Lions' best option to replace the downfield routes and gadget plays that were often designed for Williams, though Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson may not dial up those kind of play calls as frequently with Williams out of the lineup. While playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps in both of the past two weeks, Raymond was able to make an impact during his limited time in the field, recording seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.
Oct 21, 2024
Notches first touchdown of 2024
Raymond caught three of four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-29 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond found the end zone for the first time in 2024, notching a 21-yard score in the third quarter. The wide receiver has now caught seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown over the last two weeks after having just four receptions for 36 yards in the team's four games prior. Raymond will look to keep it up in Week 9 when the Lions host the Titans.
Oct 14, 2024
Four catches in Week 6
Raymond caught four of six targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 47-9 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Raymond played 24 offensive snaps in the victory over Dallas, his highest total since Week 2, turning his added opportunities into a season high in both catches and yardage. Entering play Sunday, the wide receiver had only seen five total targets on the year and he still remains buried under Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Tim Patrick on Detroit's depth chart, limiting his offensive upside. Through five games in 2024, Raymond has caught eight of 11 targets for 109 yards.
Oct 1, 2024
One catch in Week 4
Raymond caught his only target for nine yards in Monday's 42-29 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was on the field for just five offensive snaps in the contest, limiting his upside once again. The wide receiver has played 10 snaps with the offense over the last two weeks and it appears as if Tim Patrick has taken control of the No. 3 role behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams in Ben Johnson's offense in Detroit.
Sep 16, 2024
Three catches in Week 2
Raymond caught three of his four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was more involved with the offense in Week 2 after garnering zero targets in the regular-season opener. The wide receiver saw the majority of his production come on an 18-yard reception in the fourth quarter as he remained No. 3 on the depth chart behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, who combined to see 30 targets. Raymond was once again Detroit's punt returner in the loss, compiling 32 yards on three returns.
Sep 9, 2024
Fails to garner target in win
Raymond did not draw a target while turning one carry into 12 yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Raymond operated as the Lions' No. 3 wide receiver Sunday, but he failed to make a major mark on the contest. His only offensive touch came in overtime when he opened Detroit's game-winning drive with a 12-yard run. Raymond also returned three punts for 18 total yards in the game. The 30-year-old is buried underneath the likes of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs in the passing game, limiting his fantasy upside in the early going.
Aug 16, 2024
Looks set as No. 3 receiver
Raymond appears to have solidified himself as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond is positioned to replace Josh Reynolds as the No. 3 wide receiver for Detroit, though given the importance of TE Sam LaPorta (hamstring) and RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) in the passing game, that isn't a role that will necessarily translate to regular targets. Pouncy notes that Donovan Peoples-Jones and Daurice Fountain have also made some noise at training camp, but barring any additions to the wide receiver room, Raymond looks set to start in three-wide sets. He will have a chance to further entrench himself during Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs.
May 22, 2024
Taking part in OTAs
Raymond (knee) participated in OTAs Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was pictured making a catch during Wednesday's session. He missed the entirety of the Lions' playoff run last season after being injured in the regular-season finale. Raymond is currently penciled in as the Lions' third receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams after Josh Reynolds left as a free agent. Detroit didn't draft a single wideout last month. Raymond's competition will be in the form of Donovan Peoples-Jones and 2023 seventh-rounder Antoine Green.
Feb 11, 2024
Totals 564 yards in 2023
Raymond (knee) caught 35 passes on 44 targets for 489 yards with one touchdown while rushing seven times for 75 yards over 17 games in 2023.
ANALYSIS
While he didn't reach the four touchdowns he scored in 2021 or the 652 yards he totaled in 2022, Raymond put together yet another respectable season as a tertiary option in Detroit's high-flying offense while pitching in at punt returner as well. He rarely needed much playing time to do it, either, given that Raymond topped 30 percent of the offensive snaps in just six games and only topped four targets twice. With offensive coordinator Ben Johnson surprisingly coming back as Detroit's offensive coordinator, Raymond -- who remains under contract through 2025 -- should be back in 2024 as an interesting gadget player on offense and a key player on special teams.
Jan 26, 2024
Won't return Sunday
Raymond (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 29-year-old wideout is now set to miss his third consecutive game after sustaining a knee injury during the Lions' Week 18 win over the Vikings. Donovan Peoples-Jones could be in for a larger role in Detroit's wide receiver corps without Raymond in the NFC Championship game.
Jan 25, 2024
Misses Thursday's practice
Raymond (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Since sustaining a knee injury during the Lions' regular-season finale, Raymond has failed to appear in either of the team's first two playoff games. His chances to play in the NFC Championship Game seem slim after beginning Detroit's week of practice with back-to-back DNPs and he will almost certainly carry an injury designation into the weekend unless he's able to practice in full Friday.
Jan 24, 2024
Doesn't participate in walkthrough
Raymond (knee) didn't participate in Detroit's walkthrough Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond continues to remain on the sidelines after injuring his knee in the team's Week 18 win over the Vikings. If the 29-year-old ends up missing Sunday's NFC Championship matchup versus the 49ers, Donovan Peoples-Jones should continue to handle the team's punt return duties.
Jan 19, 2024
Won't play in divisional round
Raymond (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's divisional-round contest versus the Buccaneers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
With no on-field reps to speak of this week, Raymond wasn't in a great position to return to action for the first time since suffering a knee injury in the regular-season finale against the Vikings, and indeed he won't be available to the Lions offense Sunday. With Raymond sidelined, Detroit will continue to roll with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Josh Reynolds as its top three wide receivers this weekend.
Jan 18, 2024
Still not practicing
Raymond (knee) was a non-participant at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond has yet to experience any on-field work since injuring his knee Week 18 versus the Vikings, but coach Dan Campbell told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press on Wednesday that the wide receiver is "better," and the Lions won't know for sure if he has a chance to return this weekend until "Friday or Saturday." As a result, Raymond's listing on Friday's practice report may be key for his odds to suit up for Sunday's divisional-round game against the Buccaneers.
Jan 17, 2024
DNP to begin divisional round prep
Raymond (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Raymond's injured knee is improving, but the depth receiver and punt returner's status for Sunday's divisional round game against the Buccaneers remains uncertain. "He's better," Campbell said. "Honestly, this is going to be one of those that comes down to Friday or Saturday before we know for sure. He's improved a ton." Raymond seems unlikely to practice Thursday, but a return Friday could set the stage for him to play Sunday, as was the case for teammate Sam LaPorta in the wild-card round.
Jan 12, 2024
Won't play in wild-card round
Raymond (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's wild-card round game against the Rams, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond injured his knee in Week 18 and was subsequently unable to practice prior to being ruled out for Sunday's playoff opener. On the bright side, fellow wide receiver Jameson Williams (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation, so the Lions will have top three wideouts Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams and Josh Reynolds available. With Raymond ruled out, Donovan Peoples-Jones could step up as both a depth receiver and punt returner.
Jan 10, 2024
Not looking good this week
Raymond (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday and isn't considered likely to play in Sunday's playoff game against the Rams, MLive.com's Kyle Meinke reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was injured during the Week 18 win over Minnesota and apparently is considered even less likely to play than TE Sam LaPorta, who coach Dan Campbell referred to as having an "outside shot" earlier this week. WR Jameson Williams (ankle) returning to practice alleviates much of the concern about how a potential Raymond absence would impact the offense, but the Lions also need a replacement punt returner if their No. 4 wideout can't go this Sunday. Options to replace Raymond on returns could include fellow wide receivers Donovan Peoples-Jones and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Jan 7, 2024
Won't return Week 18
Raymond (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond sustained the knee injury in the second half of Sunday's contest and will not return. He finishes the day with two catches for 50 yards and returned four punts for 89 yards.
Jan 1, 2024
One catch against Cowboys
Raymond caught one pass for 11 yards during Saturday's 20-19 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Raymond made a nice catch for a first down on the first drive of the game but wasn't heard from on offense again. He'll remain off the fantasy radar in the regular-season finale at home against the Vikings.
Dec 25, 2023
Three touches against Vikings
Raymond caught two of two targets for 29 yards while rushing once for eight yards during Sunday's win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Still running comfortably as the No. 4 option at wide receiver, Raymond got a few touches on offense but didn't even attempt a punt return. He'll remain off the fantasy radar in Week 17 against Dallas.
Dec 18, 2023
One catch against Broncos
Raymond secured his only target for 12 yards during Saturday's win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Raymond again logged less than a third of the offensive snaps while remaining the primary option on punt returns. The rotational deep threat will remain off the fantasy radar in most formats entering a Week 16 showdown with the Vikings.
Dec 13, 2023
Targeted four times in Week 14
Raymond caught three of four targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Raymond operated as the Lions' No. 4 wideout Sunday, playing just 23 of Detroit's 65 offensive snaps. In 13 games this season, the veteran has recorded 29 receptions for 387 yards and one touchdown as a member of the Lions' crowded receiving corps. Raymond limited playing time, however, make him difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production each week. The 29-year-old will look to make the most of his opportunities in Week 15 when the Lions host the Broncos.
Dec 4, 2023
No targets
Raymond rushed once for nine yards during Sunday's win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
After putting together one of his best games as a receiver in last week's loss to Green Bay, Raymond was barely a part of the game plan this time around. The diminutive deep threat will remain a risky bet for statistical production when the Lions take on the Bears in Week 14.
Nov 27, 2023
Best game of season
Raymond caught five of five targets for 90 yards while rushing once for six yards during Thursday's loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Putting together his most productive game since 2021, Raymond stepped up big on Thanksgiving Day with three catches of at least 20 yards. He only needed 23 offensive snaps to do so, too, which is extra impressive considering No. 2 receiver Josh Reynolds has totaled just 54 yards over the 204 offensive snaps he has logged over the past four games. Now sitting on a career-high 16.2 yards per reception average in 2023, Raymond should remain an efficient complementary receiver in Week 13 against the Saints.
Nov 21, 2023
Season-low snap share
Raymond caught one of two targets for five yards during Sunday's win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Raymond saw a season-low 20 percent of the offensive snaps on a day that Jameson Williams saw a season-high 68 percent of them while Donovan Peoples-Jones made his Lions debut. Raymond wasn't seeing enough playing time to warrant fantasy consideration to begin with, so any reduction in his offensive role will push him further off the fantasy radar.
Nov 16, 2023
Full practice Thursday
Raymond (ankle) practiced in full Thursday.
ANALYSIS
One day removed from having a cap on his reps due to an ankle issue, Raymond was able to handle all on-field work Thursday. He's been a regular in the Lions' passing game this season, but as long as the team's top wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to hog the attention of quarterback Jared Goff, Raymond seems resigned to the handful of targets (three per game) that he gets on a weekly basis.
Nov 15, 2023
Tending to ankle issue
Raymond was limited in practice Wednesday by an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
More often than not this season, Raymond's weekly snap share has resided between 20 and 40 percent, having surpassed the latter just two times in a nine games. His two catches (on four targets) for 46 yards during this past Sunday's win at the Chargers was one of his better tallies on the campaign, but now that he's dealing with a health concern, his status will be monitored as the week continues to get a sense of his availability for a Week 11 matchup with the Bears.
Nov 14, 2023
Totals 46 yards
Raymond caught two of four targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 41-38 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
While most of his production came on a 41-yard catch in the fourth quarter, Raymond continues to be among the most targeted and effective Lions receivers relative to the number of routes he actually runs. However, the punt-return specialist won't be much of a fantasy factor as long as he is only logging around a quarter of the offensive snaps on a game-to-game basis. Not helping matters is that two other deep threats, Jameson Williams and Donovan Peoples-Jones, loom as candidates to steal some of Raymond's targets on deep passes down the stretch.
Oct 31, 2023
Snags two passes
Raymond caught two passes on four targets for 24 yards while rushing once for minus-two yards during Monday's win over Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Even though Raymond ran as the fourth receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds and Jameson Williams, he finished second among the bunch in most receiving categories. However, he only logged about a quarter of the offensive snaps, and he probably won't see much more than that in any game going forward with Detroit prioritizing the development of Williams.
Oct 26, 2023
Dodges injury report
Raymond (hamstring) was not listed on Detroit's injury report Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was forced out of Sunday's game at Baltimore with a hamstring injury, but it looks like he's already back up to full speed for Detroit's first practice of the week. He hasn't seen more than three targets in any one game since Week 3 versus Atlanta, and he figures to continue to play sparingly to ease the loads of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds in Week 8.
Oct 22, 2023
Suffers hamstring injury
Raymond left Sunday's game against the Ravens with a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Raymond hurt his hamstring in the fourth quarter and did not return to the blowout loss. The 29-year-old's status should be monitored heading into next week's game against the Raiders.
Oct 17, 2023
Fewest snaps of season
Raymond caught three of three targets for 23 yards during Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
With Amon-Ra St. Brown back in commission, Raymond saw his fewest offensive snaps of the season while tying his smallest offensive snap share, too. However, he remained secure in his role at punt returner, where Raymond returned three punts for 33 yards and now sits 11th league-wide with an average punt return of 9.7 yards. Up next is a road game in Baltimore.
Oct 9, 2023
Totals 45 yards
Raymond caught three of three targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 42-24 win over Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Drawing the start at wide receiver with Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) sidelined, Raymond finished second among Lions wide receivers in snaps, targets and receiving yards despite the availability of Jameson Williams. Raymond also continued to serve as the team's punt returner, but he didn't have a clean opportunity to gain any yardage there. Raymond could handle increased offensive responsibilities should St. Brown continue to miss time, but he may be hard to trust otherwise with so many mouths to feed in the Lions passing game.
Sep 29, 2023
Scampers for 40 yards
Raymond caught one pass for minus-two yards and rushed once for 40 yards during Thursday's win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond logged about half of the offensive snaps he had seen in each of the past two games as Detroit spent most of the second half running the ball. While he did next to nothing as a receiver in the first half anyway, Raymond still made an impact on punt returns and his 40-yard scamper on an end-around was the biggest reason Detroit was able to quickly gain a two-touchdown lead early in the second quarter. More valuable in real life than in fantasy, Raymond will enter a Week 5 matchup with Carolina as nothing more than a differentiating option in single-game DFS contests.
Sep 24, 2023
Makes four grabs
Raymond caught four of six targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was one of only four Lions to catch a pass, as fellow wideouts Josh Reynolds and Marvin Jones were both blanked. Despite his depth role, Raymond has increased his production in each week this season, helping his stock -- albeit modest -- ahead of Week 4's trip to Green Bay on Thursday night.
Sep 18, 2023
Scores on flea flicker
Raymond caught two of three targets for 46 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 37-31 loss to Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Raymond got loose for a 36-yard touchdown on a flea flicker but didn't make much noise otherwise. Averaging 22.0 yards on his three catches this season, Raymond will likely remain a low-volume deep threat despite the absence of Jameson Williams (suspension) entering a Week 3 matchup with Atlanta.
Sep 8, 2023
Snags 20-yard pass
Raymond caught one pass (one target) for 20 yards during Thursday's 21-20 win over the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Raymond only saw one look in what ended up being a much slower-paced game than expected. Meanwhile, Josh Reynolds operated as the clear No. 2 receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown while Marvin Jones handled the No. 3 role. Even though Raymond has the ability to pop for a big play or two on any given week, he won't even be worth a dart throw in DFS formats if he is the No. 6 receiving option behind the top receivers plus tight end Sam LaPorta and running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
Aug 11, 2023
Signs two-year extension
Raymond agreed to a two-year extension with the Lions on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond's contributions come primarily on special teams. He has topped 200 punt return yards in each of the past three seasons and scored one punt return touchdown in 2022. Raymond also provides Detroit with depth at wide receiver, having compiled 1,192 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his previous two seasons with the Lions.
Jun 13, 2023
Staying busy this spring
Raymond has been active at OTAs as both a wide receiver and return man, Mike O'Hara of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond bounced around the league for a half-decade before settling in Detroit the past two seasons and catching 95 passes for 1,192 yards and four touchdowns over 33 games (21 starts). He's never truly been viewed as a starter but has ended up playing a lot on offense due to injuries ahead of him, and he's also been one of the better punt returner during that time, averaging 11.2 yards on 21 returns in 2021 and 13.2 yards on 20 chances in 2022. Raymond turns 29 in August and seems unlikely to go much beyond his production from the last two years, but he does have another opportunity to earn regular snaps with Jameson Williams suspended for the first six weeks. With Amon-Ra St. Brown primarily manning the slot, Raymond's main competition for perimeter snaps in September should come from Marvin Jones and Josh Reynolds.
Jan 9, 2023
Plays through broken ribs
Raymond told reporters Monday that he played the second half of Sunday's win over the Packers with broken ribs, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear when Raymond suffered the injury, but he said it happened sometime during the first half, which means he made arguably the play of the night -- a 43-yard catch in the third quarter to set up the first touchdown of the game -- with broken ribs. The big play helped pave the way for the undrafted wideout out of Holy Cross to lead the Lions in receiving as they upset their divisional rival and kept Green Bay out of the playoffs. Raymond, who has one year remaining on his contract with the Lions, will presumably have plenty of time to recover during the offseason and should be ready for the 2023 campaign.
Jan 9, 2023
Leads team in receiving Sunday
Raymond caught four of six targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Raymond finished as the Lions' leading receiver in a game during which No. 1 wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown (6-49-0) struggled to break free against the Packers' elite secondary. The veteran wideout carved out a nice role with Detroit this season, finishing with 51 receptions and 682 receiving yards, both of which set new high-water marks for his career. Raymond figures to fill a similar role with the Lions in 2023, likely drawing attention from those in deeper formats.
Jan 1, 2023
Another handful of catches
Raymond caught three of three targets for 40 yards during Sunday's 41-10 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Raymond found the most success through the air among Lions depth receivers, but his low-volume role continues to prove much more valuable in real life than fantasy. Raymond will be back on the field in a Week 18 matchup with the Packers.
Dec 25, 2022
Totals 64 yards
Raymond brought in his only target for 56 yards while rushing once for eight yards during Saturday's loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Remaining in the No. 4 role at wideout, Raymond made a huge play to get the Lions into scoring position at one point. He also had a longer run than any of Detroit's running backs, displaying how tough of a day it was for the Lions on the ground. Next up for Raymond is a Week 17 matchup with the Bears.
Dec 12, 2022
Two grabs against Vikings
Raymond secured two of two targets for 19 yards during Sunday's win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
After seeing a massive role reduction last week in the return of Josh Reynolds and the debut of Jameson Williams, Raymond saw another dip in playing time Sunday at the benefit of Williams. With Reynolds likely to maintain his spot as the No. 3 wideout given his productivity in the offense this year, Raymond stands to lose more and more snaps if Detroit wants to keep getting more out of Williams.
Dec 11, 2022
Active in Week 14
Raymond (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
After a week in which he was capped at one limited practice Friday due to an illness, Raymond will be available to the Lions offense for the 13th time in as many contests this season. Having said that, his workload has experienced a drastic reduction with DJ Chark again operating at full capacity and rookie first-rounder Jameson Williams making his pro debut last Sunday. Consequently, Raymond may have to take advantage of his sparse targets, which so far have gone for 8.3 YPT in 2022.
Dec 9, 2022
Questionable, likely to play Sunday
Raymond (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out the Lions' first two practice sessions of the week, Raymond returned to the field Friday in a limited capacity. While Raymond wasn't able to avoid taking a designation into the weekend, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press relays that the receiver is expected to play. However, with the Lions' receiving corps at close to full strength and with rookie first-round Jameson Williams likely to see at least a slight uptick in opportunities after playing only eight snaps on offense in last week's win over the Jaguars in his NFL debut, Raymond's playing time may only drop from here. Raymond already saw his snap count take a significant last week, when he was on the field for just 16 percent of the Lions' offensive plays as the team's No. 4 wideout.
Dec 8, 2022
Remains sidelined at practice
Raymond (illness) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The Lions have held Raymond out of both sessions so far to begin Week 14 prep, giving him just one more chance to take part in drills before the team potentially hands him a designation for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Even if he's able to suit up this weekend, though, he's taken a fall down Detroit's WR depth chart with the recent debut of rookie first-round pick Jameson Williams. All of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds and Williams appear to be ahead of Raymond at the position.
Dec 7, 2022
Misses practice with illness
Raymond missed Wednesday's practice with an illness.
ANALYSIS
Raymond has a few days to get healthy before Sunday's matchup with Minnesota, though he's only the fourth or fifth wide receiver now that DJ Chark, Jameson Williams and Josh Reynolds all are healthy. Chark and Reynolds got most of the playing time alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown in Sunday's win over Jacksonville, with Raymond playing only 13 snaps and Williams taking eight in his NFL debut. Prior to that, Raymond had played more than three-fourths of Detroit's offensive snaps in seven straight games, averaging 3.7 catches for 46.9 yards on 5.1 targets in that stretch. He still hasn't scored a touchdown this year even with 382 receiving yards, 218 return yards and 24 rushing yards.
Dec 5, 2022
Taking backseat
Raymond caught two of two targets for 12 yards during Sunday's 41-14 win over Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Raymond logged just 16 percent of the offensive snaps with Josh Reynolds (79) and Jameson Williams (11) getting back to full health. With Williams' role only set to grow, Raymond could be the odd man out going forward. Up next for the group is a Week 14 matchup with Minnesota.
Nov 25, 2022
Totals 35 yards
Raymond caught four of six targets for 35 yards during Thursday's loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Despite DJ Chark (73 percent of offensive snaps) reverting to his prominent early-season role, Raymond (79 percent) remained a fixture in the offensive lineup alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown (88 percent). However, he yet again came a long ways from producing a fantasy-worthy stat line, and Raymond remains without a touchdown since the 2021 regular-season finale. With Jameson Williams (knee) a threat to steal snaps in the coming weeks, no fantasy managers should be counting on Raymond for statistical production down the stretch.
Nov 21, 2022
Three catches against Giants
Raymond caught three of seven targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The return of DJ Chark (ankle) corresponded with Raymond matching his season high in targets, but Raymond put up the lowest yardage of any game this season in which he had at least four looks. However, until Chark and/or Jameson Williams (knee) is up to speed in the offense, Raymond won't be hurting for snaps. Next up is a Week 12 matchup with Buffalo.
Nov 15, 2022
Catches three passes
Raymond secured three of three targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 31-30 win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Raymond led all Detroit receivers in playing time but was a distant secondary option in the passing attack behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. The 5-foot-7 wideout also has yet to find the end zone while only being targeted twice within the red zone all season. Even though Raymond should maintain his high slotting on the depth chart in the continued absences of DJ Chark (ankle), Jameson Williams (knee) and possibly Josh Reynolds (back), he has not shown much upside through six games in a prominent offensive role.
Nov 7, 2022
Low production against Packers
Raymond caught three of three targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 15-9 win over Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
With Josh Reynolds (back), DJ Chark (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) sidelined, Raymond again logged nearly every offensive snap alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. While this is Raymond's lowest output since he started becoming a big part of the offense in Week 4, Detroit somehow only needed to pass 26 times to win against a Green Bay defense that is stronger against the pass than the run. Raymond should have a good chance to rebound in Week 10 against Chicago, especially if Reynolds remains out.
Oct 31, 2022
Another productive outing
Raymond caught three of four targets for 76 yards during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
While he has yet to find the end zone in 2022, Raymond is again putting together a solid campaign as a role player for an injury-ravaged Lions' receiving corps. Even though Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift are back in commission to steal targets, Raymond should continue to handle a large amount of snaps for Detroit while DJ Chark (ankle) and Jameson Williams (knee) get back into game shape. Up next is a Week 9 matchup against a Packers secondary that is allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game (174.8) this season.
Oct 23, 2022
Totals 75 yards
Raymond caught five of six targets for 75 yards during Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
With DJ Chark (absence) sidelined, the second-quarter injury to Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) effectively threw Raymond into the No. 2 wideout role behind Josh Reynolds. Raymond not only delivered from a receiving standpoint, but he also threw a memorable block at one point as well. With Chark set to miss to miss at least the next three games and Jameson Williams (knee) still on the NFI list, Raymond could again play a significant role on offense depending on whether St. Brown can clear concussion protocol in time for next Sunday's matchup with Miami.
Oct 10, 2022
Snags five passes
Raymond caught five of seven targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 29-0 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Despite Amon-Ra St. Brown returning for this game, the absences of DJ Chark (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) allowed Raymond to easily log a new season high in snaps. While this allowed the wideout to put together a modestly productive fantasy outing in PPR contexts, the 5-foot-8 Raymond didn't really do any real damage to a Patriots defense that largely kept the Lions in their own territory for most of the game. With Chark possibly returning after Detroit's Week 6 bye, Raymond could easily return to seeing low offensive snap counts in Week 7 against Dallas.
Oct 4, 2022
Heightened offensive role
Raymond caught three of five targets for 38 yards during Sunday's 48-45 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Raymond saw a jump in playing time with both Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and DJ Chark (ankle) out of commission. However, he didn't play much of a role in this high-scoring affair despite seeing a handful of opportunities. Raymond could easily return to seeing single-digit offensive snaps if St. Brown or Chark are able to make it back for Detroit's Week 5 game in New England.
Sep 26, 2022
First catch of year
Raymond secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond yet again operated as the clear No. 4 receiver. While he could become a bigger part of the passing game if Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) or D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) need to miss time, Raymond would remain unlikely to see enough volume to be a considerable fantasy option.
Sep 11, 2022
Logs minimal playing time
Raymond saw two targets but did not record a catch during Sunday's 38-35 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Each of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds logged at least 55 offensive snaps, leaving just a few to spare for Raymond and Quintez Cephus. While Raymond still earned two targets on his seven snaps, he didn't do anything with them. As long as everyone stays healthy, there is no reason to think that his playing time or production could spike in anytime soon.
Aug 21, 2022
Brief preseason appearance
Raymond caught two of three targets for 10 yards during Saturday's preseason win over Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
After catching a bomb from Tim Boyle in the preseason opener, Raymond saw a little bit of action in the first quarter this week. Given how quickly it took for his day to be done, Raymond seems like the clear No. 4 receiver for the Lions behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds. While Jameson Williams (knee) will be in the fold before long and Quintez Cephus (leg) could make a case for a roster spot in the preseason finale, Raymond seems ticketed for another year in Detroit, where he will likely handle punt-return duties in addition to his rotational role at wideout.
Mar 15, 2022
Sticking with Detroit
Raymond is re-signing with the Lions, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond is a 27-year-old journeyman who made 14 starts for Detroit last season and finished with career highs across the board (48-576-4 on 71 targets). He'll be back with the Lions, but there's significant danger of slipping down the depth chart, especially after the team reached an agreement earlier Tuesday with former Jags wideout D.J. Chark. Prior to that, the Lions signed Josh Reynolds to a two-year extension, giving them another experienced option behind Chark and second-year receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Jan 9, 2022
Scores on trick play
Raymond caught four passes for 101 yards and one touchdown on five targets against Green Bay on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond's box score was mostly propelled by a 75-yard touchdown on a trick play from wideout Tom Kennedy, but Raymond's speed is part of why that play worked as well as it did, and more importantly the game rounds out what has quietly been a commendable season by the journeyman wideout. While he might see less playing time in 2022 even if he re-signs with the Lions, Raymond deserves credit for catching 48 receptions for 576 yards and four touchdowns on 71 targets (67.6 percent catch rate, 8.1 yards per target) despite dealing with shaky quarterback play. Even if he's more of a backup than a starter in 2022, Raymond arguably earned some benefit of the doubt if he ends up stepping into a starting role for whatever reason.
Jan 4, 2022
Returns from COVID list
Raymond (illness) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond missed Sunday's loss to the Seahawks after being placed on the COVID-19 list last week, but he's now back on the active roster ahead of the season finale. The 27-year-old has 44 receptions for 475 yards and three touchdowns this season, and he should work as Detroit's No. 3 wide receiver this weekend against the Packers behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds.
Jan 2, 2022
Officially out Week 17
Raymond (illness) won't be available for Sunday's game in Seattle after the Lions didn't activate him from the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Saturday's deadline for week 17 roster moves, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was placed on the list Thursday after testing positive for the virus, so he never seemed likely to test out of the NFL's COVID-19 protocol prior to Sunday's contest. With Josh Reynolds (illness) also sidelined Week 17 after testing positive for the virus Monday, the Lions won't have much in the way of established depth behind No. 1 wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions' remaining four available receivers -- KhaDarel Hodge, Trinity Benson, Tom Kennedy and Javon McKinley -- have combined for 20 catches for 191 yards during their NFL careers.
Dec 30, 2021
Second Detroit WR on COVID-19 list
The Lions placed Raymond on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond becomes the second Detroit receiver to go on the list this week, joining Josh Reynolds. The 27-year-old theoretically has a chance to test out of the protocol before Sunday's game against the Seahawks if he's vaccinated and asymptomatic of the virus, but he'll most likely miss his first game of the season, given the timing of his placement on the list. If both Raymond and Reynolds are out this weekend, Detroit would have to rely on Tom Kennedy, KhaDarel Hodge and Trinity Benson to mix in for reps behind No. 1 wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Dec 26, 2021
Another forgettable stat line
Raymond caught three of five targets for 12 yards while rushing once for five yards during Sunday's 20-16 loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Playing through a shoulder injury, Raymond remained the third wheel behind Amon-Ra St. Brown (11 targets) and Josh Reynolds (seven) in the passing game. Only St. Brown managed any meaningful production with backup QB Tim Boyle, who struggled to complete passes down the field. Even if Jared Goff (COVID-19) manages to return in Week 17 against Seattle, Raymond will remain an inadvisable fantasy option.
Dec 26, 2021
Will play Sunday
Raymond (shoulder) will play Sunday against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was able to practice in a limited capacity all week, so his ability to suit up isn't unexpected. Raymond has had an inconsistent season with spiked weeks occasionally, but mostly producing subpar results. With Jared Goff on the COVID list and Tim Boyle drawing the start, Raymond's chances of a better than usual outing are reduced. Last time Boyle started in Week 11 against the Browns, Raymond played 70 percent of the snaps on offense and tallied one target with no receptions.
Dec 24, 2021
Receives questionable tag
Detroit lists Raymond (shoulder) as questionable for Sunday's game in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was able to practice in a limited capacity all week, which seemingly bodes well for his chances of getting the green light to play Sunday, despite his designation. Since raising eyebrows with a six-catch, 115-yard outing Week 7 against the Rams, Raymond has failed to come anywhere close to reaching those marks in any of his subsequent seven outings, combining to produce a 15-129-1 receiving line over 22 targets. With backup quarterback Tim Boyle stepping in at quarterback this week with regular starter Jared Goff (illness) not expected to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Sunday, Raymond is unlikely to reverse his trend of underwhelming stat lines.
Dec 23, 2021
Reps capped Thursday
Raymond (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
For the second day in a row, Raymond and fellow wideout Josh Reynolds (thigh) had their reps capped in practice. So long as the two receivers are able to practice again in some fashion Friday, Raymond and Reynolds should be on track to play Sunday in Atlanta, though one or both could carry a questionable tag into the contest. Raymond has played 60-plus percent of the Lions' offensive snaps in all but one of his 14 appearances this season, putting together a 41-463-3 receiving line on 61 targets.
Dec 22, 2021
Limited Wednesday
Raymond (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session.
ANALYSIS
Raymond secured two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, but he apparently sustained a shoulder injury during the matchup. The severity of the issue isn't yet clear, but Tom Kennedy and KhaDarel Hodge should see a slight uptick in playing time if Raymond is sidelined Sunday against Atlanta.
Dec 20, 2021
Two catches against Cardinals
Raymond caught two of three targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 30-12 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Raymond saw just as much playing time as Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds, but he was the odd man out in terms of production. With St. Brown thriving underneath and Josh Reynolds more effective down the field, it wouldn't be a surprise if Raymond's production remains modest down the stretch. Accordingly, Raymond is not a recommended fantasy option in any format entering Week 16 against Atlanta, especially now that Jared Goff (COVID-19) could miss time.
Dec 12, 2021
Finds end zone in Denver
Raymond caught four of five targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
He provided Detroit's lone highlight of the day, catching a seven-yard score in the second quarter. Raymond hadn't gotten into the end zone since Week 4 and hasn't reached 40 yards in a game since Week 7, giving him little fantasy appeal heading into a Week 15 clash with the Cardinals.
Dec 5, 2021
Two catches against Minnesota
Raymond secured two of two targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 29-27 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Raymond saw a couple of targets in the first half but wasn't heard from again after that. Meanwhile, Amon-Ra St. Brown paced the team with 10 receptions on 12 targets for 86 yards while Josh Reynolds operated as the top perimeter option. Perhaps Raymond can become more productive as a tertiary threat going forward, but thus far he hasn't done much as a receiver since Reynolds came to town.
Nov 25, 2021
Taking backseat to Reynolds
Raymond caught three of four targets for 16 yards during Thursday's 16-14 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Raymond again did little with the opportunities he saw. Meanwhile, Josh Reynolds -- who caught three passes for 70 yards and a score -- continues to rise to the top of the depth chart. Considering Raymond was hardly a fantasy option when he was the Lions' No. 1 receiver, his floor will probably get even lower if Reynolds continues on as Jared Goff's top option.
Nov 21, 2021
No catches in Cleveland
Raymond failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 13-10 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
On a dreary day in Cleveland, Raymond wasn't able to get anything going with backup quarterback Tim Boyle, who was replacing Jared Goff (ribs) for at least one week. If Goff remains out in Week 12 against Chicago, Raymond won't be anywhere on the fantasy radar, though he is hardly anything more than an afterthought with Goff under center anyway.
Nov 17, 2021
Catches four passes
Raymond caught four of six targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 16-16 tie with Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Raymond and the rest of the Lions' pass catchers struggled to get anything going Sunday with Jared Goff throwing for a dismal 114 yards. The wideout played on 65 percent of Detroit's offensive snaps, marking his second-lowest percentage of the season. Raymond's six targets, however, were tied for the team-high in the contest. The 27-year-old will look to bounce back when the Lions square off against the Browns in Week 11.
Oct 31, 2021
Lays goose egg
Raymond was targeted once but he did not record a catch during Sunday's 44-6 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a 100-yard outing against the Rams, Raymond laid a goose egg against a previously beatable Eagles defense. However, tough coverage from cornerback Darius Slay certainly played a role, not to mention the fact that only nine of Jared Goff's 34 pass attempts were directed at wide receivers. Considering he entered the week averaging 5.6 targets per game, Raymond should see a heavier workload in Week 10 against Pittsburgh when Detroit returns from its Week 9 bye.
Oct 27, 2021
Stepping up
Raymond is stepping up as a top receiving option in the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion) and Quintez Cephus (collarbone), Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "I love getting him the ball as much as I can and I'm starting to build a good rapport with him," quarterback Jared Goff said.
ANALYSIS
With Cephus likely done for the year and there being no word of a nearing return for Williams, only Amon-Ra St. Brown remains to challenge Raymond for looks amongst Lions wide receivers. Of course, tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift are still the focal points of the passing game, but Raymond has nonetheless totaled 15 targets in two games since Cephus went down while St. Brown saw seven. Given how often Detroit needs to throw the ball, it's possible this heightened usage could continue as long as Williams remains sidelined, which could lead to useful fantasy production given how Raymond has averaged over 11 yards per catch in four of the five games in which he handled more than two targets this year.
Oct 24, 2021
Strong production Sunday
Raymond caught six receptions for 115 yards on eight targets against the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond has made some impressive plays over the past few years, but Sunday's game might be the best of his career to this point. Quarterback Jared Goff rarely makes it easy and struggled like usual Sunday, completing just 22 of 36 passes for 268 yards (61.1 percent completed, 7.4 yards per attempt), which makes Raymond's box score (75 percent caught, 14.4 yards per target) that much more impressive. He's somewhat overmatched in his current lead wideout role, but his usage seems locked into place as long as Quintez Cephus (collarbone) and Tyrell Williams (concussion) are out. Raymond has a home game against the Eagles in Week 8.
Oct 17, 2021
Totals 37 yards
Raymond caught six of seven targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 34-11 loss to Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Raymond tied D'Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown for second place amongst Lions players in targets, but he was bottled up alongside everyone else not named T.J. Hockenson. With Quintez Cephus sidelined and Tyrell Williams (concussion) a question mark to return in the near future, Raymond should continue to handle a decent role in the Lions offense, though his upside will continue to be severely capped by the limitations of quarterback Jared Goff.
Oct 3, 2021
First multi-TD game of career
Raymond caught three of six targets for 46 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
It was a big day for Raymond, who saw 10 targets last week and previously hadn't seen pay dirt since 2019. His first score came on a short pass near the goal line while his second came on a 25-yard bomb thanks to broken coverage on the Bears' part. While Quintez Cephus seems to be emerging as the top wide receiver in the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion), the 5-foot-6 Raymond is holding his own as the other starting option. However, it may be hard for him to see double-digit targets or multiple TDs in any other game this season even if Williams can make it back on the field sooner than later.
Sep 26, 2021
Targeted 10 times in loss
Raymond (thigh) caught six of 10 targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Raymond stepped up as the top performer in the Lions' underwhelming wide receiver group with Tyrell Williams (concussion) on IR, leading the team in both targets and receiving yards. With tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift both above him in the passing game pecking order, Raymond will be no better than a flex consideration against the tough Bears defense in Week 4.
Sep 26, 2021
Suiting up despite thigh injury
Raymond (thigh) is active for Sunday's game against Baltimore, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was a starter Weeks 1 and 2, but he saw only six targets while playing 75 and 63 percent of snaps on offense. Qunitez Cephus is probably the better bet for volume, though Raymond's speed should lead to occasional big plays if he continues to get a lot of snaps.
Sep 24, 2021
Status in question for Sunday
Raymond (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest versus the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
The Lions capped Raymond's practice reps all week, as he went down as a limited participant on all three injury reports due to a thigh issue, which popped up on the final Week 2 report. He managed to play 63 percent of the snaps on offense Monday in Green Bay, ending up with two catches (on two targets) for 18 yards. With Tyrell Williams (concussion) officially on IR as of Thursday, Raymond has a chance to be more involved in the offense, assuming he's out there Sunday alongside Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Trinity Benson.
Sep 23, 2021
No upgrade in activity Thursday
Raymond (thigh) remained a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Following Monday's loss to Green Bay, the Lions held a walk-through session Wednesday for their first Week 3 practice, with Raymond being listed as limited on the first injury report. Detroit held a more traditional practice Thursday, but Raymond wasn't able to increase his activity. Provided he upgrades to full participation Friday, Raymond should avoid taking an injury designation into the matchup with the Ravens on Thursday, when he should once again be headed for a sizable snap count. Raymond played 75 and 63 percent of the Lions' offensive plays in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, but he drew only six targets between those contests to finish with five receptions for 68 yards.
Sep 22, 2021
Still limited at practice
Raymond (thigh) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough.
ANALYSIS
As he was on the Lions' final Week 2 injury report, Raymond logged a capped session Wednesday due to a thigh issue. He proceeded to be active this past Monday in Green Bay en route to two catches (on two targets) for 18 yards while logging a 63-percent share of the offensive snaps. Tyrell Williams isn't expected to be available Sunday against the Ravens, which again would thrust Raymond into a large role. Still, an active Raymond would be competing with fellow wide receivers Quintez Cephus, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Trinity Benson for reps.
Sep 21, 2021
Little production in starting role
Raymond caught two of two targets for 18 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was expected to serve as the No. 1 receiver with Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined, but he popped up on the injury report late in the week with a thigh injury. While Raymond was in the starting lineup despite being listed as questionable to play, he ultimately finished a distant second in snaps behind Quintez Cephus, who led Lions wideouts in nearly all receiving categories. It's not clear how long Williams could remain sidelined, but Raymond would figure to log a majority of the snaps if Williams can't suit up for Detroit's Week 3 matchup with Baltimore.
Sep 20, 2021
Playing Week 2
Raymond (thigh) is listed as active Monday in Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Raymond didn't show up on the Lions' injury report until Saturday, when he was listed as a limited participant due to a thigh injury. During pregame warmups, he was seen testing out his left leg, on which he had a compression sleeve, per Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Raymond will be allowed to give it a go Week 2, after turning a 75-percent share of the offensive snaps into three catches (on four targets) for 50 yards and one carry for nine yards in the team's season opener versus the 49ers.
Sep 18, 2021
Surprise add to injury report
Raymond (thigh) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond surprisingly appeared on the team's injury report Saturday with a reported thigh injury. With Tyrell Williams (concussion) already ruled out ahead of Monday's affair, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Quintez Cephus and Trinity Benson could be the team's top three pass catchers if Raymond is unable to play.
Sep 13, 2021
Totals 50 yards
Raymond caught three of four passes for 50 yards during Sunday's 41-33 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond ultimately led all Lions receivers in snaps after Tyrell Williams (undisclosed) headed to the locker room at the start of the third quarter. While he finished just sixth in targets on a day when Jared Goff peppered his running backs and tight ends, Raymond at least was on the receiving end of one of Goff's best passes of the game. Regardless of Williams' status for Week 2 against the Packers, the 5-foot-8 receiver seems locked into a key role within the Lions' receiving corps.
Aug 28, 2021
Held out of preseason finale
Raymond didn't play in Friday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
It might be taken as a sign he's made the team, with Raymond reportedly part of Detroit's wide-open competition for roles at wide receiver. It could get even messier with Tyrell Williams now bothered by a groin injury, but Raymond wouldn't figure to see many targets even if he were to land in a starting job.
Aug 22, 2021
Rested in second preseason game
Raymond did not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
After logging as many snaps in the preseason opener as No. 1 wideout Tyrell Williams, Raymond was the lone receiver to join Williams and starting quarterback Jared Goff in getting rested Saturday. However, the starting complement to Williams on Detroit's current depth chart, Breshad Perriman, perhaps only played because he missed the opener with a hip injury. Meanwhile, the reps given to rookie standout Amon-Ra St. Brown were certainly a product of his youth rather than his need to prove anything. In any case, Raymond clearly seems to be an important part of the Lions' plans this year. His preseason is probably over but look for Raymond to take snaps on offense and as a return man when the Lions take on San Francisco in Week 1 of the regular season.
Aug 18, 2021
Repping with first-team offense
Raymond has consistently been one of the first four receivers to rep with the first-team offense during training camp, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With Tyrell Williams, Breshad Perriman and Amon-Ra St. Brown seemingly locked in as Detroit's top three receivers, Raymond appears to have slid ahead of Quintez Cephus for the No. 4 job, though it should be noted that Cephus has missed significant time due to a head injury. While the fourth receiver in an underwhelming Lions offense probably won't be relevant in fantasy if everyone stays healthy, Williams is 30 and coming off shoulder surgery while Perriman hasn't played a full season since 2016. Unless those veterans manage to stay healthy the entire season, there could be games where Raymond handles a starting role at outside receiver this year.
Aug 4, 2021
Limps off practice field
Raymond exited Wednesday's practice with a noticeable limp, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
It doesn't seem like Raymond is dealing with a significant injury, but any missed time could open the door for someone else to claim one of the return-man roles on punts and/or kickoffs.
Mar 23, 2021
Signs with Lions
The Lions have signed Raymond to a one-year deal, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond, who logged nine catches for 187 yards in 15 games with the Titans last season, will provide the Lions with added wideout depth. More importantly, the speedster is expected to help fill the void created by the free-agent departure of All-Pro returner Jamal Agnew.
Mar 8, 2021
Will hit free agency
The Titans do not intend to tender Raymond, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond will become a free agent rather than return for a third straight year with the Titans. He does most of his damage in the return game, with 275 kick- and 208 punt-return yards last season, respectively. Raymond has also shown flashes as an occasional deep threat -- he averaged 20.8 yards per catch in 2020 -- so he should offer enough versatility to draw notable interest in free agency. However, he's unlikely to ever emerge on the fantasy radar.
Jan 8, 2021
Role remains stagnant
Raymond recorded nine receptions for 187 yards across 15 games with the Titans in 2020.
ANALYSIS
Raymond showed glimpses of a breakout in 2019, posting three receptions of 40 yards or more. While he was never going to be a full-time player with Corey Davis, A.J. Brown and Adam Humphries (concussion) on the roster, Raymond failed to reach 30 percent of the team's offensive snaps in any game this season. Raymond's contract with the team will expire at the end of their playoff run, making him a restricted free agent this offseason.
Dec 25, 2020
Activated from COVID-19 list
Raymond was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond missed last week's win over Detroit, but he should now be able to return for Sunday's matchup at Green Bay. The 26-year-old has registered a career-high 187 receiving yards this season but makes most of his impact as a kick/punt returner.
Dec 19, 2020
Moves to COVID-19 list
The Titans placed Raymond (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond won't be available for Sunday's game against the Lions, potentially setting the stage for Desmond King to handle punt returns. Cameron Batson and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine could also handle increased roles behind A.J. Brown and Corey Davis.
Nov 2, 2020
Sees one target
Raymond recorded one reception on one target for 11 yards in Week 8 against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Raymond has combined to record only one reception across his last two contests and has seen his usage drop since the return of Corey Davis. Adam Humphries exited the Titans' Week 8 contest with a concussion, so Raymond could serve as the third receiver in Week 9 against the Bears. Even if Humphries is absent, Ryan Tannehill's desire to spread the ball around to tight ends while also focusing on A.J. Brown as his primary target make Raymond a risky bet for any type of notable volume.
Oct 19, 2020
Tallies three catches
Raymond recorded three receptions on four targets for 32 yards in Week 6 against the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Raymond stepped up in the absence of Corey Davis (COVID-19) again, though he clearly worked behind Adam Humphries and A.J. Brown. His first catch came in the team's first possession and went for six yards. However, his most notable contribution came early in the second quarter, when he picked up 20 yards on a deep pass from Tannehill that ultimately set up a touchdown for the team. Raymond continues to fill the role of deep threat for the Titans, as he has four receptions of 20 yards or more through five contests this season.
Oct 13, 2020
Totals 26 yards
Raymond caught both of his targets for a total of 26 yards in Week 5 against Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was expected to see increased opportunity with both Corey Davis (COVID-19) and Adam Humphries (COVID-19) absent. However, tight ends Jonnu Smith and Anthony Firkser combined for 12 targets, directing chances away from Raymond. Despite the limited opportunity, Raymond did still produce a 20-yard reception late in the first quarter on a drive that ultimately resulted in a Tennessee touchdown. If both Davis and Humphries remain sidelined for the team's Week 6 matchup against the Texans, Raymond will have another chance to command more volume.
Oct 10, 2020
Increased duties in store?
Raymond could operate as the No. 2 wide receiver in Tuesday's game versus the Bills because Corey Davis and Adam Humphries are still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Kyle Tucker of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was silent through the first two weeks of the season but exploded in Week 3 versus the Vikings, hauling in all three targets for 118 yards. It looks like A.J. Brown (knee) will be ready Tuesday, but Raymond should be a fine fantasy option, especially if the Bills get out to an early lead and cause the Titans to throw more than usual.
Sep 28, 2020
Shows off deep speed
Raymond tallied three receptions for 118 yards in the team's Week 3 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Raymond delivered the two biggest offensive plays of the day for the Titans, hauling in receptions of 61 and 44 yards. Each set up a score later on the drive, leading directly to 10 points for the team. This was Raymond's first true involvement this season, as he had run just 18 routes entering the Week 3 contest. However, he emerged last season -- particularly in the playoffs -- as a deep threat and flashed the ability to maintain that role with this performance.
Sep 20, 2020
Should help fill in for Brown
Raymond is expected to serve as the Titans' No. 3 receiver Sunday in the team's game against the Jaguars, Mike Moraitis of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond played only 22 percent of the offensive snaps and drew two targets in the Titans' season-opening win over the Broncos, but he could be in store for a regular spot in three-receiver formations Sunday with A.J. Brown (knee) having been ruled out for the contest. Tennessee is still expected to lean heavily on a Derrick Henry-led running attack if the game script allows for it, and Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Jonnu Smith will likely all rank ahead of Raymond as priorities in the passing game. With that in mind, it's difficult to get excited about Raymond's fantasy prospects, even with his improved playing-time outlook.
Aug 14, 2020
Remains deep threat
Raymond made an over-the-shoulder catch on a deep ball from Ryan Tannehill during practice Friday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond beat Jonathan Joseph deep and caught a pass from Tannehill in stride for a long gain. Raymond emerged as a deep threat at various points in the 2019 season, with none being bigger than a 45-yard touchdown in the team's divisional-round win over the Ravens. He'll compete to maintain that some role in 2020, and to serve as the team's fourth wide receiver .
Jan 25, 2020
Emerges as home run threat
Raymond recorded nine receptions for 170 yards and one touchdown across eight games for the Titans in 2019.
ANALYSIS
Playing for his third team in the past four seasons, Raymond was a marginally used receiver in Tennessee. Though he played just 98 total snaps, he averaged 18.2 yards per reception. His campaign was highlighted by a win-clinching 40-yard touchdown reception in Week 13 against Indianapolis. Raymond will enter the final year of a two-year contract in 2020, though he'll likely battle among the Titans other pass-catchers for a roster spot next season.
Jan 12, 2020
Makes one catch count
Raymond brought in his only target for a 45-yard touchdown in the Titans' 28-12 divisional-round win over the Ravens on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was on the receiving end of a perfectly thrown pass from Ryan Tannehill early in the second quarter, a scoring grab that gave the Titans a surprising 14-0 lead at the time. The fourth-year speedster flashed some of the same big-play ability in the regular season (three receptions of over 20 yards, including two over 40), so the downfield shot to him wasn't completely out of the norm. Raymond will look to make a similar impact in next Sunday's AFC Championship Game versus either the Texans or Chiefs.
Jan 8, 2020
Clears concussion protocol
Coach Mike Vrabel said Wednesday that Raymond has cleared the league's five-step concussion protocol, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond looks set to retake the field after missing Week 17 and Tennessee's playoff opener due to a brain injury. The 25-year-old will handle kick return duties during Saturday's contest in Baltimore, and he'll also provide the Titans with receiver depth.
Dec 19, 2019
Back at full speed
Raymond (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
The knee injury that caused Raymond's entry onto Wednesday's injury report appears to have been minor. The Holy Cross product is on track to play Sunday.
Dec 18, 2019
Nursing knee issue
Raymond was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Raymond appears to have picked up a knee injury during Week 15's loss to the Texans, during which he caught one of two targets for two yards. If he were forced to miss any time, Dion Lewis would likely take over as Tennessee's top kick returner.
