Five tackles in win over Buffalo
Lassiter recorded five tackles (five solo) and one pass breakup in Thursday night's win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter played 100 percent of the defensive snaps for the fifth straight contest and played lockdown coverage against Buffalo, as Josh Allen completed just three passes for 28 scoreless yards when targeting Lassiter. The second-year cornerback has produced 63 tackles (44 solo) and 10 pass breakups, including two interceptions, across 11 games this season.

Posts two stops in Week 11 win
Lassiter recorded two tackles (one solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 16-13 victory versus Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter played every defensive snap for the Texans but had a meager two tackles for the second straight week. That's not a reflection of Lassiter's level of play -- he was impressive again Sunday, as he has been throughout the season, but that sometimes limits the amount of tackles he gets to make. To highlight that point, Lassiter has notched at least one defensed pass in seven straight contests, the longest such streak in the NFL this season.

Quiet output in Week 10 win
Lassiter recorded two tackles (both solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 36-29 victory versus Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter played every defensive snap for Houston but logged a season-low two stops. He did, however, manage to record a defensed pass for the sixth straight game. The low tackle total doesn't take away from Lassiter's strong play, and he even slid over to the slot at times in nickel packages. Lassiter is tied for 14th in the league with eight defensed passes so far this season.
Oct 28, 2025
Productive in Week 8 win
Lassiter racked up seven tackles (four solo) and one pass breakup, an interception, during Sunday's win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter has now tallied five or more stops in all but one of his seven regular-season appearances to kick off the 2025 campaign. On the year, he's accumulated 45 tackles (30 solo) and five passes defensed, including two interceptions. The second-year pro has developed into a strong starter at cornerback for Houston, forming one of the league's best tandems at the position opposite Derek Stingley. His next challenge will be to contain Bo Nix and the Broncos at home in Week 9.
Oct 21, 2025
Career-high 10 tackles in loss
Lassiter logged 10 tackles (seven solo) and a pass defense during the Texans' 27-19 loss to the Seahawks on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter played 69 of 72 defensive snaps (95.8 percent) and finished Monday's game as the second-leading tackler behind Ernest Jones (11). Lassiter's 10 stops were a career high, and he has logged at least five tackles in five of the first six games of the regular season. The 2024 second-rounder is up to 38 tackles on the year and is well on pace to surpass his total from his rookie campaign (58 tackles over 14 regular-season games).
Oct 7, 2025
Secures interception in win
Lassiter recorded four total tackles (three solo) and an interception in Sunday's 44-10 win over Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was able to jump in front of a pass from Cooper Rush in the fourth quarter, securing his first interception of the year. The cornerback has increased his weekly production in his second season with Houston, producing 28 total tackles (19 solo) and three passes defensed, including an interception, over five game so far.
Sep 30, 2025
Picks up five tackles in win
Lassiter recorded five tackles (two solo) and two pass breakups in the Texans' win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter has played all 260 defensive snaps for Houston this season and has produced 24 tackles (16 solo) and two pass breakups across four contests. While Derek Stingley typically chases No. 1 wide receivers, Lassiter sees mostly No. 2 outside receivers in coverage.
Sep 19, 2025
Good to go for Week 3
Lassiter (knee) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was limited in practice earlier in the week but is good to go for Sunday's divisional matchup. Lassiter has logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps through two games and has recorded 14 tackles (nine solo).
Sep 17, 2025
Pops up on injury report
Lassiter (knee) logged a limited practice Wednsday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter has played every defensive snap through two games this season, so it's unclear when he suffered the injury. There shouldn't be significant concern regarding his status for Sunday's game at Jacksonville at this point, though his level of participation in the team's next two practices should clarify his outlook.
Sep 9, 2025
Records nine tackles in loss
Lassiter recorded nine tackles (five solo) in Houston's loss to the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter started at cornerback opposite Derek Stingley, and his nine tackles led the team, as Matthew Stafford picked on Lassiter instead of the first-team All-Pro Stingley. Lassiter was in coverage on Satfford's touchdown pass to Davis Allen.
Jan 26, 2025
Picks off three passes as rookie
Lassiter finished the 2024 season with 58 tackles (42 solo) and 10 pass breakups, including three interceptions, across 14 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
Selected No. 42 overall out of Georgia in the 2024 NFL Draft, Lassiter started all 14 games he appeared in and also logged four tackles for loss, including one safety. Lassiter saw most of his rookie-year action on the right side of the field opposite Derek Stingley, and the two formed one of the league's best cornerback duos. The pair is a foundation for the Houston defense moving forward.

Cleared to play Sunday
Lassiter (quadriceps) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter progressed throughout the practice week, going from DNP on Wednesday to limited Thursday and full participation Friday. With the Texans locked into the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs, it's unclear how long the team's starters and key contributors will play against Tennessee.
Jan 1, 2025
Managing quad issue
Lassiter has a quadriceps injury and didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
This is a new injury for Lassiter, who started last Wednesday's Christmas Day game against Baltimore and logged 76 percent of Houston's defensive snaps. At this point, it's unclear if the issue will keep the rookie cornerback out of Sunday's regular-season finale versus Tennessee. It's also worth noting that the Texans are locked into the No. 4 playoff seed in the AFC, so they'd have little reason to play Lassiter if his injury is more than minor.
Dec 28, 2024
Secures six stops on Christmas Day
Lassiter logged six tackles (three solo), including one for loss, in Wednesday's 31-2 Week 17 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter finished with the third-most tackles for Houston in the defeat. The rookie cornerback has been consistent of late with at least six tackles in three of his past four games. On the season, Lassiter has tallied 57 stops and three interceptions over 13 games.
Dec 3, 2024
Logs eight tackles in Duval
Lassiter registered eight tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was one of four Texans defenders Sunday to register eight combined tackles. The rookie second-round pick has played every single defensive snap in eight of 10 regular-season games, and for the year he's up to 41 tackles (31 solo) and eight pass defenses (including three interceptions).
Nov 22, 2024
Clears protocol
Lassiter (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter missed Houston's Week 11 win over the Cowboys after sustaining a concussion the previous game, but he practiced in full all week and has cleared concussion protocol, paving the way for his return in Week 12. The rookie from Georgia has nabbed three interceptions in his eight appearances this season and is expected to serve as one of the team's top outside corners Sunday.
Nov 20, 2024
Full go for Wednesday
Lassiter (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimation.
ANALYSIS
The rookie corner from Georgia was sidelined for the Texans' Week 11 win over the Cowboys on Monday night after sustaining a concussion the week prior. Wednesday's estimated full session suggests that Lassiter is nearly past his concussion; however, he must still pass through the NFL's five-step protocol in order to play in the Week 12 matchup against the Titans.
Nov 18, 2024
Inactive for MNF
Lassiter (concussion) is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The cornerback suffered the concussion in Week 10 against the Lions, missed both practice sessions to start the new week and was a limited participant Saturday. Lassiter has 29 tackles (22 solo), eight pass breakups and three interceptions in eight games this season. Ka'dar Hollman might be in line to take his place opposite Derek Stingley in the Houston secondary.
Nov 16, 2024
Questionable for Week 11
Lassiter (concussion) was limited in Saturday's practice and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter opened the week with consecutive DNPs due to a concussion he suffered in Week 10 against the Lions. Given his limited participation Saturday, it seems unlikely he'll clear the league's five-step concussion protocols in time to suit up Monday. If Lassiter is indeed ruled out, Ka'dar Hollman could be the Texans' second starting corner opposite Derek Stingley.
Nov 14, 2024
Remains in concussion protocols
Lassiter (concussion) was listed as a DNP on Thursday's injury report, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was diagnosed with a concussion during Houston's Week 10 loss to Detroit, which prevented him from practicing Thursday. Even if Lassiter was able to return to practice over the next two days, that doesn't guarantee he will be able to pass through the league's five-step concussion protocols in time to play against Dallas on Monday. Ka'dar Hollman saw increased snaps on defense in Week 10 following Lassiter's exit, and the former finished with four solo tackles across 25 defensive snaps.
Nov 10, 2024
Suffers concussion on SNF
Lassiter (head) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday night's contest against the Lions due to a concussion.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter suffered the concussion in the second half of Sunday's matchup, bringing his night to a premature end. The cornerback will have to clear concussion protocol in order to play in Week 11 versus the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. In the meantime, Kris Boyd is amongst the candidates to see an increase in workload in Houston's secondary with Lassiter unavailable.
Nov 10, 2024
Questionable to return Sunday
Lassiter is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Lions, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
The cornerback picked off two passes and made a solo tackle before exiting. Lassiter has 29 tackles (22 solo), eight passes defensed and three interceptions on the year. Kris Boyd, Ka'dar Hollman and M.J. Stewart are Houston's available backup corners.
Oct 25, 2024
Ready to rock
Lassiter (shoulder) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter upgraded to a full workload Friday after opening the Texans' week of practice with back-to-back limited sessions, indicating that he's moved past his shoulder issue in time for Week 8. Expect the rookie out of Georgia to start opposite Derek Stingley as part of Houston's top outside cornerback duo Sunday.
Oct 23, 2024
Gets on practice field
Lassiter (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter is still tending to a scapula injury suffered in Week 5 and has kept the cornerback out of action since. His ability to practice could be good news for his chances of taking the field against the Colts on Sunday. However, a clear answer on his status for the matchup likely won't come until closer to kickoff.
Oct 18, 2024
Won't play in Week 7
Lassiter (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was expected to miss multiple games after sustaining a scapula injury in the Texans' Week 5 win over the Bills, and he's now in line to miss his second consecutive contest Sunday. D'Angelo Ross and Kris Boyd are projected to see increased snaps with Houston's first-team defense while Lassiter continues to recover.
Oct 12, 2024
Expects to miss multiple games
Lassiter is expected to miss multiple games as he recovers from a scapula injury he sustained in Week 5 versus the Bills, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was already ruled out for Sunday's game at New England, but it seems like that will be the first of at least a couple games he'll be sidelined for. Until he's healthy again, D'Angelo Ross should see a significant uptick in snaps.
Oct 11, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Lassiter (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was unable to practice all week due to a shoulder injury, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up in Week 6. The rookie cornerback has impressed through the Texans' first five games, recording 19 total tackles and defending three passes, including one interception. Expect Kris Boyd and Ka'dar Hollman to see increased work opposite Derek Stingley in Lassiter's stead.
Oct 9, 2024
Logs DNP
Lassiter (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter played 100 percent of the team's defensive snaps in Sunday's win over Buffalo, so it's not clear how or when he picked up the injury. Assuming, it did happen during the game and he was able to play through it, it's likely not a significant injury for the Georgia product. Greater clarity should come when the team returns to the practice field Thursday.
Sep 30, 2024
Logs TFL in win
Lassiter recorded six total tackles (five solo), including one tackle for loss, in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter has impressed to start his rookie campaign, accumulating 16 total tackles and two passes defended, including one interception, across Houston's first four contests. Expect the Texans' young cornerback duo of Lassiter and Derek Stingley to continue making plays and causing problems for opposing quarterbacks as the season progresses.
Sep 17, 2024
Grabs first interception of career
Lassiter registered four tackles (three solo) and one interception in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
The rookie second-round pick snagged the first interception of his career early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, picking off a pass from Caleb Williams intended for tight end Cole Kmet. Lassiter beat out veterans D'Angelo Ross and Kris Boyd for the starting corner job opposite Derek Stingley during training camp. Lassiter has played every single defensive snap over the first two games of the regular season, and he has been a key piece for a Texans defense that is third in the league in yards allowed per game (254.0).
Aug 13, 2024
Back at practice
Lassiter (ankle) returned to practice Tuesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter was unable to suit up for Houston's preseason opener against Pittsburgh on Friday. The rookie second-rounder appears to have recovered from his ankle injury, and he'll look to get his first NFL snaps in Saturday's preseason bout against the Giants on Saturday. Lassiter is projected to start at outside corner opposite Derek Stingley.
Aug 7, 2024
Limited by injury
Lassiter (undisclosed) is recovering from a soft-tissue injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Lassiter is expected to operate as a primary option in Houston's secondary this season, so he'll look to return to the field as soon as possible. The Texans are set to begin their preseason Friday on the road in Pittsburgh and the cornerback appears to be unlikely to be available. On the brightside, Lassiter's injury isn't considered to be a long-term concern, so he'll likely be back in action sooner rather than later.
Jul 29, 2024
Listed as starter
Lassiter is listed as the Texans' No. 2 cornerback on the team's unofficial depth chart, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2024 second-round pick out of Georgia seems to be impressing Houston's coaching staff early, as he's already listed as a starter on the Texans' unofficial depth chart. Lassiter recorded 75 total tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss, while also defending 12 passes over his final two collegiate seasons. He's now expected to start alongside Derek Stingley in Houston's revamped secondary ahead of the team's 2024 campaign.
