Ready for Sunday
Kinchens (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens upgraded to a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited for the earlier portion of the week. The free safety avoids injury designation and will continue his streak of participating in every Rams game this year.

Tagged as limited
Kinchens (shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens missed the first two practices last week but still managed to play in the Week 13 loss to the Panthers, so he appears to be on the right track to play this week versus the Cardinals. The second-year safety has yet to miss a game during his career. He has produced 61 tackles (43 solo), six pass breakups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries through 12 games this year.

Good to go against Carolina
Kinchens (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens opened Week 13 prep with back-to-back DNPs before ending with a limited practice Friday while working through a shoulder injury. However, the second-year safety has done enough over the weekend and through pregame warmups to be given the green light to suit up Sunday. In the four games since the Rams' Week 8 bye, Kinchens has accumulated 19 tackles (14 solo), three pass defenses (two interceptions) and two fumble recoveries.

Questionable for Week 13
Kinchens (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens was able to upgrade to a limited participant Friday after being unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday. The upgrade in participation bodes well for Kinchens' chances to suit up for Sunday's contest. If the starter is unable to go, Jaylen McCollough is in line to replace him at free safety.

DNP again
Kinchens (shoulder) did not practice Thursday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
It is unclear where Kinchens acquired his shoulder injury, as he finished last week's game seemingly clean. With two missed practices this week, the starting safety will have one more chance to participate. Failure to do so would likely end his playing chances for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Sidelined Wednesday
Kinchens (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens played 89 percent of defensive snaps -- his second-highest mark of the season -- so it's unclear when he was injured. His status for Sunday's game against the Panthers is now unclear.

Seven takedowns in win
Kinchens recorded seven total tackles (five solo) in Sunday night's 34-7 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens finished tied for second on the team in takedowns with linebacker Nate Landman, falling just one short of fellow safety Kamren Curl's eight stops. The seven tackles were also the highest total for Kinchens in a contest since Week 3. The safety is now up to 55 total tackles (37 solo) while also adding six passes defensed, including two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries over 11 contests in his sophomore campaign with Los Angeles.

Picks off Darnold twice in Week 11
Kinchens registered four tackles (three solo) and two interceptions during the Rams' 21-19 win over the Seahawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The 2024 third-rounder logged four interceptions during his rookie season but was held without a pick through the first nine games of the 2025 regular season. That quickly changed during Sunday's NFC West, when Kinchens picked off a Sam Darnold pass intended for Cooper Kupp on the Seahawks' first offensive series of the game, which the Rams capitalized on with a Kyren Williams' one-yard touchdown run four plays later. Kinchens picked off Darnold again late in the third frame, and the Rams once again made the most of the opportunity with a six-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Colby Parkinson four plays later. Sunday marked the second time in Kinchens' young NFL career that he recorded two interceptions in a game, and the 23-year-old safety has accumulated 48 tackles (32 solo), five pass defenses and two fumble recoveries through 10 regular-season games.

Good to go vs. New Orleans
Kinchens (toe) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Saints, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens sustained a toe injury against the Jaguars in Week 7. He received additional rest courtesy of the Week 8 bye and was able to log a full practice Friday to shed an injury tag heading into Sunday's game. The second-year safety has 36 tackles (23 solo) and three pass defenses through seven regular-season games.

Still tending to toe issue
Kinchens (toe) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens hurt his toe during the Rams' last game before their Week 8 bye at Jacksonville, and now it's threatening his availability for Week 9. He'll likely have to upgrade to full participation at practice Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
Oct 19, 2025
Exits game with toe injury
Kinchens (toe) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens went to the sidelines to have his toe evaluated by trainers to determine whether he can return for the second half of Sunday's game. Jaylen McCollough would be in line to see more snaps at safety for as long as Kinchens is out of the game. Kinchens tallied five tackles (four solo) prior to his exit.

Upgrades to full Thursday
Kinchens (knee) upgraded to a full practice Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
With the full practice, Kinchens should be in line to handle his normal role Sunday against the Ravens. On 81 percent of the defensive snaps this season, Kinchens has recorded 26 tackles (16 solo) and three pass breakups.
Oct 8, 2025
Limited in Wednesday's practice
Kinchens (knee) was a limited participant in the Rams' practice Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens is dealing with knee soreness, though it's unclear when he sustained the injury. While the 23-year-old will look to be good to go for Sunday's game versus Baltimore, if he ends up being unable to play Jaylen McCollough would likely start at safety in his place.

Deemed full participant Tuesday
Kinchens (shoulder) was estimated as a full participant in Tuesday's practice walkthrough, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens has been dealing with a shoulder injury since early last week, but he was able to suit up in this past Sunday's win over Indianapolis. After being estimated as a limited practice participant Monday, Kinchens' return to full participation (albeit in a walkthrough) Tuesday suggests that he'll be able to take on his usual starting role Thursday versus San Francisco.
Sep 29, 2025
Back to limited practice
Kinchens (shoulder) was deemed a limited participant in Monday's practice estimate.
ANALYSIS
Los Angeles didn't actually hold a practice Monday, so Kinchens' designation of limited is an estimation. The second-year safety was also limited at the Rams' first practice last week but moved up to a full session one day later and logged close to his usual workload Sunday versus Indianapolis. With that in mind, it's likely that Kinchens is in line to play Thursday versus San Francisco as long as he didn't aggravate the shoulder issue.
Sep 25, 2025
Full practice Thursday
Kinchens (shoulder) was a full participant at practice Thursday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens opened the week as a limited participant at practice Wednesday, but Thursday's full practice seems to suggest that he's a full go for Sunday's matchup with the Colts. The safety has compiled 21 total tackles (13 solo) and two passes defensed over the team's first three games of the year.
Sep 24, 2025
Tending to shoulder injury
Kinchens (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens played nearly all of the Rams' defensive snaps in Sunday's game at Philadelphia, so it's not immediately clear when he picked up the shoulder issue. In any case, he'll probably have to participate fully at practice Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
Sep 23, 2025
Makes seven tackles against Philly
Kinchens recorded seven tackles (four solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 33-26 loss against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens played 55 of the Rams' 63 defensive snaps Sunday and logged seven-plus tackles for the second straight game. He appears to be locked into a near-every down role after the first three weeks of the season, and he's on the fringe of the IDP radar heading into a Week 4 tilt versus the Colts.
Sep 16, 2025
Leading tackler in win
Kinchens tallied 10 tackles (seven solo) during the Rams' win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens led Los Angeles in tackles during Sunday's victory and has now amassed 14 tackles (nine solo) across the first two games of the campaign. The 22-year-old is coming off a strong rookie campaign, where he recorded 57 tackles (36 solo) and four interceptions in 17 games and will look to have similar production during the current season.
Jan 30, 2025
Records four INTs in rookie season
Kinchens played in all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 57 tackles (36 solo), six pass defenses (including three interceptions and a pick-six), and one forced fumble. He added 11 tackles (eight solo) across the Rams' two playoff games.
ANALYSIS
The rookie third-round pick mostly served in a special teams role during the first half of the regular season, but he made his first career NFL start in Week 10 against the Dolphins. He started in three other regular-season games and drew the start for the Rams' NFC wild-card win against the Vikings. Kinchens will compete for a permanent starting spot in the Rams' secondary for the 2025 campaign.
Dec 30, 2024
Picks off Murray in Week 17
Kinchens registered eight tackles (six solo) and one interception during Saturday's 13-9 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens matched a season high with eight combined tackles Saturday and finished second on the Rams in that category behind Kamren Curl and Omar Speights (10 each). Kinchens logged his fourth interception of the year when he picked off Kyler Murray on a pass intended for Marvin Harrison late in the fourth quarter. Kinchens, who was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, has played at least 50 percent of the Rams' defensive snaps in four straight games despite operating behind starting safeties Curl and Quentin Lake. Kinchens is up to 53 tackles (33 solo), six pass defenses (four interceptions, including a pick-six) and one forced fumble through 16 games.
Dec 2, 2024
Logs six tackles vs. Saints
Kinchens recorded six total tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Kinchens has now accumulated 18 total tackles, one interception and one forced fumble over the Rams' last three games, despite playing just 56, 53 and 43 percent of the team's defensive snaps in those contests, respectively. The rookie from Miami's versatility is part of the reason he keeps seeing the field; in Sunday's win, he played five snaps in the box, 22 at free safety and three in the slot. Even if Kinchens' role does not expand on the Rams' defense, he's expected to continue positively impacting games as the Bills travel to Los Angeles in Week 14.
Nov 18, 2024
Picks off Maye in Week 11
Kinchens recorded eight total tackles (six solo), one interception and one forced fumble in Sunday's 28-22 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
The 2024 third-round pick from Miami continues to see his role expand on the Rams' defense, recording a career-high eight stops in Sunday's win. Kinchens has also nabbed three interceptions in the past three weeks while playing 51, 76 and 56 percent of the Rams' defensive snaps, respectively. Don't be surprised if the rookie earns more playing time as the season progresses, especially if he maintains his Week 11 performance level.
Nov 4, 2024
Scores touchdown against Seattle
Kinchens recorded three solo tackles, two pass breakups and two interceptions, including a pick-six, in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
The safety also played on more than 50 percent of the defensive snaps. Kinchens has only played on more than half of the defensive snaps twice this season, though perhaps he sees more playing time after this big performance.
