Moved to injured reserve
The Cowboys placed Hall (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall hurt his hamstring Week 16 against Tampa Bay and missed last Sunday's matchup against Philadelphia. The 27-year-old had already been ruled out for this Sunday's Week 18 clash against the Commanders prior to landing on IR on Saturday. Hall saw all of his action on special teams this season, logging 123 snaps with that unit over six contests. He'll be a free agent at the conclusion of the campaign.

Won't play against Commanders
Hall (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Washington, Todd reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall will miss the final two games of the regular season due to a hamstring injury he suffered against the Buccaneers in Week 16. The 27-year-old corner played exclusively on special teams and will finish the 2024 campaign with seven tackles (six solo) across six games.

Out for Week 17
Hall (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall likely sustained a hamstring injury in Dallas' Week 16 win over the Buccaneers, as he was unable to practice all week and has since been ruled out for Sunday's contest. The Cowboys' cornerback room will likely consist of DaRon Bland, C.J. Goodwin, Andrew Booth and Jourdan Lewis with Hall sidelined in Week 17.

Claimed by Cowboys
Hall was claimed off waivers by the Cowboys on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hall was let go by the 49ers on Saturday and he has now found a new home in Dallas just one day later. The cornerback will compete with the likes of Josh Butler and Josh DeBerry for an active roster spot as a depth option in the Cowboys' secondary in 2024.

Gets workout with 49ers
Hall worked out for San Francisco on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall was with the Chargers in training camp and underwent surgery for an undisclosed injury in mid-August. He was subsequently waived with an injury settlement but now appears to be healthy. The 26-year-old has played in 18 career NFL games, logging most of his snaps on special teams.

Becomes free agent
The Chargers waived Hall (undisclosed) on injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall underwent surgery for an undisclosed issue in mid-August and was subsequently waived with an injury designation before reverting to IR. Now that he and the Chargers have reached an injury settlement, Hall is a free agent and can pursue an opportunity with another team.

Reverts to IR
Hall (undisclosed) shifted to the Chargers' injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
One day after getting waived/injured by Los Angeles, Hall has reverted to its IR. This occured because he went unclaimed by the other 31 teams off waivers. Now, he is in danger of missing the entire 2023 season unless both he and the Chargers can eventually come to terms on an injury settlement.
Aug 16, 2023
Let go with injury designation
The Chargers waived Hall (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
If Hall clears waivers, he'll revert to the Chargers' injured reserve and be forced to miss the entire 2023 campaign, barring an injury settlement. The 25-year-old appeared in two games for the Chargers in 2022, logging one tackle while playing exclusively on special teams.
Aug 15, 2023
Undergoes surgery
Hall has undergone surgery for an undisclosed issue according to his Instagram account and is expected to be sidelined a few weeks.
ANALYSIS
The Chargers have not announced anything publicly regarding Hall's health, so this news was relatively surprising. It is unclear what issue he had surgery for, but it sounds like he should be considered week-to-week going forward. The cornerback is considered a fringe-candidate to make the final 53-man roster, so a return sooner than later would be beneficial.

Staying in Los Angeles
The Chargers re-signed Hall on Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Originally a restricted free agent, the Chargers did not tender Hall but will still bring him back for the 2023 campaign. The 25-year-old spent time on both the practice squad and active roster last year, and he recorded one tackle (one solo) while playing in two games exclusively on special teams. Hall will likely have a similar role next season, and he might even find himself competing for a roster spot.
Mar 15, 2023
Hitting free agency
Hall was not tendered a contract by the Chargers and became a free agent Wednesday per the NFL's communications site.
ANALYSIS
Hall spent 2022 with the Chargers, though he ended the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury and was inactive for most weeks of the campaign. He could ultimately find a role as a contributor on special teams and as depth in a team's secondary.
Dec 26, 2022
Shifts to injured reserve
The Chargers placed Hall (hamstring) on injured reserve Monday, per the team's official site.
ANALYSIS
Hall is now slated to miss at least the next four games as a result of a hamstring issue. The 25-year-old has suited up for just two contests this season, and his absence isn't expected to alter the Chargers' defensive game plan moving forward considering Hall hasn't played a defensive snap in 2022.
Dec 24, 2022
Won't play Monday
Hall (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Hall's absence isn't a surprise after Brandon Staley previously described the reserve cornerback as week-to-week. Hall's next chance to suit up will arrive when the Chargers face the Rams on Jan. 1.
Dec 19, 2022
Week-to-week per coach
Coach Brandon Staley said Monday that Hall (hamstring) is week-to-week ahead of Monday's game at Indianapolis, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall has played in just two games this season, exclusively on special teams, so that Chargers' main concern will be trying to find a way to replace his production in that phase for as long as he might be out. His participation or lack thereof at practice this week should shine further light on his availability for Week 16.
Dec 30, 2021
Activated by Chargers
The Chargers activated Hall (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall sat out last week's game against the Texans since he was unvaccinated and tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Week 16. However, he'll now be able to return to practice and will likely be available Sunday against Denver.
Dec 20, 2021
Tests positive, out Week 16
Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said Hall won't be available for Sunday's game against the Texans after landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Of the seven players the Chargers placed on the list Monday, Hall and outside linebacker Joey Bosa were the only players Staley ruled out six days in advance of the team's Week 16 contest. That confirms that both Bosa and Hall are unvaccinated players that tested positive for the virus; unvaccinated close contacts are eligible to rejoin the team after completing five-day quarantines, while vaccinated players players can test out of the protocol if asymptomatic in as little as one day. Instead, Hall and Bosa will have to complete 10-day quarantines before either can report back to the team facility, leaving the statuses of both players in question for the Chargers' Week 17 game with the Broncos as well.
May 7, 2021
Now with Chargers
Los Angeles claimed Hall off waivers Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hall previously spent time with the Cowboys and Saints, but he hasn't yet gotten a chance to make his NFL debut. He'll work to further his development with the Chargers.
Aug 26, 2020
Signs with Saints
Hall signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Amie Just of Nola.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The move comes in conjunction with the waiving of cornerback Johnson Bademosi. Hall was waived by Minnesota earlier this month after spending part of his rookie season on the team's practice squad in 2019.
