Keep up with the latest injuries from the Eagles vs Cowboys game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Oct 13, 2025
Moved back to practice squad
Campbell reverted to Dallas' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was elevated ahead of Sunday's Week 6 game against Carolina but played just two snaps on offense without getting any targets. He also logged six snaps on special teams and recorded one tackle. Campbell's elevation came with CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) missing Sunday's contest, so he could be hard-pressed to be elevated again if either of those two wideouts returns in Week 7 against Washington.
Oct 11, 2025
Elevated for Week 6
The Cowboys elevated Campbell from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell joined the Cowboys' practice squad in late September after fully recovering from an MCL sprain that he suffered during Dallas' training camp in late July. The veteran wide receiver is poised to make his Cowboys debut against the Panthers on Sunday, and he could be utilized on offense due to the absences of CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot). Campbell logged six catches (on eight targets) for 30 yards and a touchdown across five regular-season games in 2024 as a member of the Eagles.
Sep 30, 2025
Back with Cowboys on practice squad
The Cowboys signed Campbell (knee) to the practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell suffered an MCL sprain during training camp in late July. He was initially set to miss the entire 2025 season after being placed on injured reserve, but he was able to reach an injury settlement with the Cowboys in early August. The veteran wide receiver has seemingly recovered from the injury and will return to Dallas as a member of the team's practice squad. Campbell appeared in five regular-season games for the Eagles in 2024 and finished with six catches (on eight targets) for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Aug 5, 2025
Let go by Cowboys
The Cowboys released Campbell from injured reserve Tuesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell sprained his MCL in late July, which prompted the Cowboys to place the veteran wideout on injured reserve Saturday. That would've meant Campbell would be forced to miss the entire 2025 season, but the injury settlement allows the 2019 second-rounder to sign with a team once he's fully healthy. Campbell appeared in five regular-season games for the Eagles in 2024 and logged six catches (on eight targets) for 30 yards and one touchdown.
Aug 2, 2025
Placed on IR
The Cowboys placed Campbell (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell suffered a knee sprain in practice last week that is serious enough to land him on the team's injured reserve. The 28-year-old had signed with the team earlier in the offseason and will be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's released with an injury settlement.
Jul 28, 2025
Dealing with MCL sprain
Campbell suffered an MCL sprain in his knee during Dallas' practice Saturday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
The wide receiver left the session early and had to be helped off the field, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. A day later, though, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Campbell didn't suffer a serious injury and would only miss a few days. The 2019 second-round pick of the Colts is trying to secure a spot with a new team after spending 2024 with the Eagles and 2023 with the Giants.
Jul 27, 2025
Avoids major injury
Campbell (lower body) did not suffer a significant injury at practice Sunday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell exited practice early with the assistance of the training staff due to a lower body injury. The wide receiver is expected to miss a few days, but it doesn't appear like he'll be sidelined for long.
Jul 26, 2025
Suffers leg injury
Campbell suffered a leg injury during Dallas' practice Saturday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell had to be helped off the field after hurting his leg during Saturday's practice session. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and it remains to be seen if the 28-year-old will need to miss extended time.
Mar 15, 2025
Agrees to deal with Dallas
Campbell and the Cowboys agreed to a one-year contract Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was with Philadelphia all of last season, but he played in only five regular-season games as he bounced between the team's practice squad and active roster. He recorded a career-low 30 receiving yards on six catches while getting into the end zone one time over those five contests. Campbell was also active for three of the Eagles' four postseason games, but he logged just six offensive snaps and didn't see any targets. He'll be in the running for a depth role in Dallas' receiving corps next season.
Jan 14, 2025
Secures spot on active roster
The Eagles signed Campbell from their practice squad to their active roster Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell bounced around between Philadelphia's practice squad and active roster throughout the campaign, and he played in five regular-season games, tallying six catches for 30 yards and one touchdown. The veteran wideout was elevated from the team's practice squad for Sunday's wild-card win over the Packers and logged two special-teams snaps without recording any other stats. Campbell will provide the Eagles with receiver depth for Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the Rams, though he's not likely to see much work on offense.
Jan 13, 2025
Reverts to practice squad
Campbell reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played two snaps on special teams during the Eagles' NFC wild-card win over the Packers, but he did not show up in the box score otherwise. The veteran wideout could be elevated for the Eagles' divisional-round clash against the Commanders on Sunday.
Jan 11, 2025
Gets promotion for wild-card game
The Eagles elevated Campbell from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell rode a bit of a roller coaster with Philadelphia during the regular season, as he was signed to the active roster and then cut on multiple occasions. He also spent much of the campaign on the team's practice squad and totaled six catches on eight targets for 30 yards and a touchdown. The speedy wideout will likely be sixth on the Eagles' receiver depth chart in Sunday's wild-card matchup versus Green Bay.
Dec 4, 2024
Returns to Philadelphia
Campbell signed with the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was waived by the Eagles on Monday just a couple of days after signing with the active roster and suiting up for Sunday's win over the Ravens. With Philadelphia dealing with multiple injuries in their receiving corps, the Ohio State product could find himself on the active roster for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Dec 2, 2024
Out in Philadelphia
The Eagles waived Campbell on Monday.
ANALYSIS
The Ohio State product joined Philadelphia's active roster ahead of the Week 13 loss to the Ravens, ensuring depth at wide receiver with DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missing his second consecutive game. Campbell played 27 offensive snaps and failed to catch his only target Sunday. If he clears waivers, he'll likely return to the Eagles' practice squad.
Nov 30, 2024
Signs to active roster
The Eagles signed Campbell from their practice squad to their 53-man roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell had previously been signed to the active roster Oct. 12, but he was cut 10 days later. He's also had three practice-squad elevations this season, so he's gotten into four total games, catching six of seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown. Campbell could see some work on offense Sunday versus Baltimore with Johnny Wilson (hamstring) out of action, especially if DeVonta Smith (hamstring) also misses the contest.
Oct 23, 2024
Back with Philly
Campbell signed with the Eagles' practice squad Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was let go from Philadelphia's active roster Tuesday, but he'll now stay with the franchise as a member of its practice squad. The Ohio State product has appeared in four games this season, while A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith tended to injuries, and made six catches on seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Oct 22, 2024
Getting cut by Philly
Philadelphia cut Campbell on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Just 10 days after signing onto the Eagles' active roster, Campbell is now back on the outside looking in. The transaction could be a signal that rookie fifth-rounder Ainias Smith is close to returning from his stint on injured reserve.
Oct 12, 2024
Signed to active roster
The Eagles signed Campbell to their 53-man roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell had already been elevated from the practice squad three times this season, so Philadelphia was required to sign him to the active roster in order for the speedy wideout to play Sunday versus Cleveland. The 27-year-old has been playing a significant role in the Eagles' offense in recent games due to the absences of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and in Week 4 he logged a season-high 84 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Campbell probably won't play that much in Week 6 with both Brown and Smith slated to return, but he could remain on the roster as a depth receiver for the remainder of the campaign.
Sep 30, 2024
Back on practice squad
Campbell reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
With both A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) sidelined Week 4, Campbell earned his biggest workload of the season yet Sunday at Tampa Bay, finishing second among Eagles wide receivers behind Jahan Dotson (49 snaps) with 48 of 57 offensive snaps. Campbell paced the position group with four catches (on four targets), which he turned into 17 yards and one touchdown. Philadelphia has a Week 5 bye, giving Brown and Smith time in their respective recoveries to get healthy before the team's next game Sunday, Oct. 13 against the Browns. The Eagles also have used three elevations on Campbell, meaning he must be signed to the active roster in order to contribute Week 6 and beyond.
Sep 29, 2024
Gets into end zone Sunday
Campbell brought in all four targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 33-16 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell finished with the second-most receptions and tied for the second-most targets on an afternoon where A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) were sidelined. The veteran also was on the receiving end of Jalen Hurts' only touchdown pass, hauling in his first scoring grab since Week 10 of the 2022 season on a one-yard catch late in the second quarter. Campbell was promoted from the practice squad for the contest due to the absences of Brown and Smith, but with the duo likely to get healthy over a Week 5 bye, Campbell may not be on the active roster for a Week 6 home matchup against the Browns on Sunday, Oct. 13.
Sep 28, 2024
Joins active roster
The Eagles elevated Campbell to their active roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
With DeVonta Smith (concussion) and A.J. Brown (hamstring) both ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers, Campbell's elevation ensures depth at wide receiver. The 27-year-old wideout is joining Philadelphia's active roster for the second consecutive game after posting two catches for 13 yards over 33 offensive snaps during the Eagles' Week 3 win over the Saints. Campbell is expected to be involved in Philadelphia's offensive game plan, but he'll still likely be playing behind Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson.
Sep 23, 2024
Heads back to practice squad
Campbell reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
With A.J. Brown (hamstring) out Week 2 against the Falcons, the Eagles elevated Campbell from the practice squad, but he wasn't targeted on his 21 percent snap share. His workload jumped all the way to 50 percent of the offensive plays during Sunday's win at New Orleans with Brown still sidelined and DeVonta Smith (concussion) and Britain Covey (shoulder) exiting with injuries. While Campbell's output (two catches for 13 yards on two targets) didn't jump off the screen, he appears poised to be a regular in Philadelphia's offense for as long as his banged-up teammates need to focus on their respective recoveries.
Sep 21, 2024
Elevated for Week 3
The Eagles elevated Campbell from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played 22 snaps on offense but did not register a target during the Eagles' 22-21 loss to the Falcons in Week 2. He'll serve as a rotational wide receiver again for Week 3 against the Saints after A.J. Brown (hamstring) was ruled out for Sunday's game.
Sep 18, 2024
Reverts to practice squad
Campbell reverted to Philadelphia's practice squad Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction report.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was elevated ahead of Sunday night's win over the Falcons, in which he played 22 percent of offensive snaps but was not targeted. With A.J. Brown (hamstring) a candidate to miss more time, Campbell could be elevated again for Week 3.
Sep 16, 2024
Joins Philly's active roster
Campbell was elevated to the Eagles' active roster from their practice squad Monday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's addition to the Eagles' active roster comes as no surprise, as the 27-year-old will provide depth in the team's wide receiver room with A.J. Brown (hamstring) and potentially Johnny Wilson (hamstring) missing Monday night's contest. Campbell doesn't project to see much work in Week 2, but he could see limited offensive and special-teams action.
Sep 15, 2024
Could be elevated this week
Campbell is a candidate to be elevated from the Eagles' practice squad ahead of Monday night's game against the Falcons, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
With both A.J. Brown (hamstring, questionable) and Johnny Wilson (hamstring, questionable) dealing with injuries, elevating Campbell would provide the team with some wideout depth ahead of Week 2 action. Also in the mix in the team's WR corps, but not on the injury report, are DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson and Britain Covey.
Aug 28, 2024
Rejoins Philadelphia
The Eagles signed Campbell to their practice squad Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell inked a one-year deal with the Eagles in March before failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. He'll look to make an impression on the Eagles' practice squad after posting 20 receptions for 104 yards and no touchdowns across 12 regular-season games with the Giants in 2023.
Aug 27, 2024
Fails to stick with Philly
The Eagles are slated to release Campbell on Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell spent much of training camp dealing with a groin injury, but he managed to suit up for and impress during Philadelphia's preseason finale by catching both of his both his targets from Kenny Pickett for 34 yard. As a result of his ability to contribute both as a depth wideout and in the return game, Campbell should have little difficulty resurfacing as at least a practice squad player this season, whether with the Eagles or another squad.
Aug 24, 2024
Gets start in preseason finale
Campbell caught both his targets for 34 yards and returned one kickoff for 18 yards in Saturday's 26-3 preseason loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
The former Colt and Giant has dealt with a groin strain for most of training camp, but he looked healthy Saturday as he got the start and caught both of Kenny Pickett's longest completions of the day for 19 and 15 yards. Campbell was signed in the offseason to compete for the No. 3 wideout role behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but the Eagles' trade for Jahan Dotson on Thursday likely bumps him one rung further down the depth chart. Campbell's ability to contribute on special teams -- he averaged 30.4 yards per kickoff return in college at Ohio State -- might be what saves his spot on the 53-man roster.
Aug 21, 2024
Participating in practice
Campbell (groin) is practicing Wednesday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Cambell returned to limited participation last week and is now practicing without any restrictions. He's competing for the No. 3 receiver job, with challengers Johnny Wilson and John Ross both in concussion protocol at the moment.
Aug 13, 2024
Returns to limited practice
Campbell (groin) returned to practice Tuesday as a limited participant, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was out for more than a week, missing a handful of practices as well as Philadelphia's preseason opener. Limited participation Tuesday suggests he's not likely to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots, but he's at least on the right track to suit up for the final exhibition Aug. 24 against Minnesota. Campbell opened camp as Philadelphia's No. 3 receiver in three-wide sets -- a role he'll need to defend against competition from Johnny Wilson, John Ross and others.
Aug 4, 2024
Sidelined with groin injury
Campbell isn't practicing Sunday due to a groin issue, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The severity of the injury isn't clear but may be addressed by head coach Nick Sirianni following practice. It could be detrimental to Campbell's position in the wideout pecking order if he's forced to miss significant time in camp, as Sirianni previously stated that the No. 3 receiver role for the coming campaign is an open competition. Campbell is trying to rebound from a rough season with the Giants last year during which he caught 20 passes for only 104 yards and no touchdowns over 12 games.
Jul 24, 2024
Starts off as No. 3 receiver
Campbell opened training camp as the No. 3 receiver with Philadelphia's first-team offense, Bradon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green reports.
ANALYSIS
While it's no surprise to see the sixth-year pro getting the first crack at the job, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni made it clear there will be open competition. Rookies Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson should also get their chances, and 28-year-old speed demon John Ross is a dark horse candidate after coming out of retirement. Campbell had only 104 receiving yards in 12 games for the Giants last season and now finds himself in Philadelphia on a one-year contract with less than $500,000 guaranteed.
Mar 21, 2024
Gets one-year deal in Philly
Campbell and the Eagles agreed to terms on a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell, a 2019 second-round pick, is coming off a disappointing one-and-done season with the Giants. Across 12 regular-season games in 2023, he secured 20 of 27 targets for just 104 yards, while adding 191 yards as a kick returner. He was more productive with the Colts in 2022, with a 63-623-3 receiving line across 17 contests. Campbell now gets a chance to compete for depth work behind A.J. Brown (knee), DeVonta Smith and DeVante Parker.
Jan 12, 2024
Flops in first campaign with Giants
Campbell finished the 2023 season with 20 receptions on 27 targets for 104 yards. He added 191 yards as a kick returner.
ANALYSIS
After spending the first four years of his career with Indianapolis, Campbell joined the Giants last offseason with the potential to rise to a prominent role in an unsettled wide-receiver corps. That never materialized, however, and after Week 2 he didn't log more than half of New York's offensive snaps in any contest. Campbell's production fell off so much that he was a healthy scratch for each of the team's final four games after sitting out Week 14 due to a knee injury. The 2019 second-round draft pick is set to become an unrestricted free agent, and with head coach Brian Daboll clearly preferring to deploy other pass-catching options, it would be a significant surprise if Campbell sees a second season in New York.
Jan 7, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Campbell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell will finish the 2023 season as a healthy scratch for the fourth consecutive game. He finishes the year with 20 catches on 27 targets for 104 yards, in addition to 191 kick return yards, over 12 games.
Dec 31, 2023
Remains healthy scratch
Campbell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This marks the third straight game that Campbell will be a healthy scratch with Sterling Shepard remaining ahead of him on the depth chart. Campbell will have one final chance to suit up in Week 18 against the Eagles, though that looks unlikely if the rest of the receiving corps remains healthy.
Dec 25, 2023
Takes seat Monday
Campbell (coach's decision) is inactive Monday against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell will be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive week, as Sterling Shepard has secured the No. 5 spot on the team's receiver depth chart, and Gunner Olszewski has taken over return duties. The Ohio State product will have another chance to crack the active roster on gameday in Week 17 against the Rams.
Dec 17, 2023
Surprise inactive
Campbell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell missed the Giants' Week 14 victory with a knee injury, but he practiced in full throughout the week leading up to Sunday's matchup against the Saints. That suggests he's slipped down the wide receiver depth chart, though his inactive status is still a surprise given that he's contributed on special teams across the last seven games.
Dec 13, 2023
Labeled full practice participant
The Giants estimated Campbell (knee) as a full participant Wednesday on the team's initial Week 15 injury report.
ANALYSIS
Following Monday's 24-22 win over the Packers, the Giants opened Week 15 prep with a walkthrough, but Campbell would have taken full reps had the team opted for a traditional practice session. Campbell thus looks as though he'll be ready to play Sunday in New Orleans after sitting out the Week 14 game, but he may return to only a minor role in the Giants' passing attack. In his last appearance prior to the Giants' Week 13 bye, Campbell logged just six snaps on offense in a 10-7 win over the Patriots on Nov. 26.
Dec 11, 2023
Not Playing Monday
Campbell (knee) is inactive for the Giants' matchup versus the Packers on Monday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was a late addition to New York's injury report but will now miss his first game of the season due to a knee injury. With the 26-year-old out, Gunner Olszewski will likely fill in as the team's kick returner.
Dec 9, 2023
Added to injury report
Campbell (knee) was added to the injury report Saturday and is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Packers, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite receiving a lucrative contract this past offseason, Campbell has been essentially demoted to the team's returner as the veteran has played just 54 offensive snaps total dating back to Week 6. If the speedy wideout, who wasn't listed on the injury report prior to Saturday, is unable to play, Gunner Olszewski could step into the top returner role.
Nov 12, 2023
Suiting up in Week 10
Campbell (hamstring) is active for Sunday's Week 10 game against the Cowboys, Art Stapleton of TheRecordSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell will therefore be available to handle his usual reserve receiver duties and his primary kickoff returner role. The veteran offseason addition has 18 receptions for 100 yards and 155 kickoff return yards through nine games this season.
Nov 10, 2023
Listed as questionable
Campbell (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Dallas, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell has been active for every game for a second straight season but has played just 21 total snaps on offense the past four weeks. His primary role at this point is on kickoff turns, with Gunnar Olszewski the top candidate to fill in this Sunday if if Campbell misses a game for the first time since 2021.
Nov 9, 2023
Limited again Thursday
Campbell (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
As he was at Wednesday's session, Campbell operated with a cap on his on-field work due to a hamstring issue. He thus has just one more chance to prove his health before the Giants potentially tag him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Dallas.
Nov 8, 2023
Dealing with hamstring issue
Campbell was limited at practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The production of the Giants receiving corps has been lacking due to uneven quarterback play, and Campbell's workload has been yanked around through nine games. After being contained to less than 10 percent of offensive snaps from Weeks 6 through 8, he bounced back somewhat to 22 percent this past Sunday in Las Vegas, where he hauled in both of his targets for 15 yards and also had five kick returns for 110 yards. Campbell will have two more chances to get back to all activity before New York potentially hands him a designation for Sunday's game at Dallas.
Nov 6, 2023
Sees more work on offense
Campbell brought in both of his targets for 15 yards and compiled 110 yards on five kick returns in a Week 9 loss to Las Vegas on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's receiving output was far from prolific, but it was a step up after he failed to receive a target while playing on just seven offensive snaps combined over New York's previous three contests. The Giants' passing game has struggled all season and is now facing the potential extended absence of QB Daniel Jones (knee), so there's a possibility that the coaching staff could look to put the ball in the hands of the speedy Campbell more often in order to try to generate a spark, though the team could be going to rookie UDFA Tommy DeVito or career backup Matt Barkley behind center for at least the next several weeks. With that in mind, Campbell's rest-of-season outlook as a pass catcher isn't favorable, and there's little reason to roster him in fantasy leagues for the time being.
Oct 18, 2023
Limited to special teams Week 6
Campbell played all three of his snaps on special teams Sunday in the Giants' 14-9 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
For the first time all season, Campbell failed to log a snap on offense, as he was strictly limited to kick-return duties in Week 6. Campbell's playing time has been steadily trending down since he logged a season-high 45 snaps in the Giants' comeback win over Arizona in Week 2, with his downturn in opportunities coinciding with Wan'Dale Robinson completing his return from ACL surgery and establishing himself as New York's top slot man.
Oct 9, 2023
Quiet again in Week 5 loss
Campbell caught both of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Campbell actually finished with the second-most yards among New York's receivers behind Darius Slayton's 35. That speaks volumes about the state of the team's passing game, as Daniel Jones has struggled mightily behind an overmatched offensive line. Campbell made one big play with a 17-yard gain, but it came in the fourth quarter with the game mostly out of reach after Jones had exited with a neck injury. Campbell has yet to record more than 24 yards in any of his five contests so far this season, giving him very little value in fantasy to this point. The only pass catcher on the team that has shown any fantasy viability outside of deep leagues is tight end Darren Waller.
Oct 3, 2023
Secures three catches on MNF
Campbell hauled in three of five targets for 15 yards Monday in a Week 4 loss to Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The Giants put up another dismal passing performance, with quarterback Daniel Jones posting just 203 yards and no touchdowns through the air while taking 11 sacks. As such, no New York wideout had more than five catches or 40 receiving yards, making Campbell's poor line pretty much the norm among the team's wideout corps. The speedy receiver did tie for second on the club in targets behind Wan'Dale Robinson (six), and Campbell has at least shown some consistency with between four and six targets in each of his four games thus far. No Giants receiver has stood out during the team's poor start to the campaign, so there's a chance that one breakout performance by a pass catcher on the club could shake up the depth chart. For the time being, though, neither Campbell nor any of New York's receivers are particularly appealing fantasy options.
Sep 22, 2023
Leads team in catches Thursday
Campbell caught all six of his targets for 24 yards in Week 3 during a loss to San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
While Campbell led New York with a season-high six receptions, he didn't do much with that volume, posting a long gain of seven yards and picking up just 24 yards total. He also logged a season-low 42 percent of the Giants' offensive snaps, though that was still good enough for third-most among wideouts on the team. Campbell, Jalin Hyatt and the returning Wan'Dale Robinson saw relatively similar playing time in the Week 3 contest, and there may not be much fantasy value among the trio until one separates himself from the others.
Sep 18, 2023
Targeted six times Week 2
Campbell caught four of six targets for 21 yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
After nabbing just one of four targets in a season-opening loss to Dallas, Campbell was more efficient and productive against Arizona, though his longest reception went for just nine yards. The speedy wideout finished tied for third on the team in catches but was sixth in receiving yards in a game during which QB Daniel Jones racked up 321 yards through the air. New York doesn't yet have a clear wide-receiver pecking order, making it difficult to predict how much volume Campbell -- or any of the team's wideouts -- will receive in any given week.
Sep 11, 2023
Quiet in Giants debut
Campbell caught one of four targets for two yards in Sunday's blowout Week 1 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Campbell started for the Giants and was on the field for two-thirds of the team's offensive snaps, but he did very little in a contest during which starting QB Daniel Jones completed only 15 passes. Campbell wasn't alone in his lack of production -- no New York wide receiver recorded more than three catches or 24 yards in the embarrassing defeat. Campbell at least seems primed to have a major role in the offense, and he'll look to be much more productive in next Sunday's matchup in Arizona.
Aug 19, 2023
Records three catches Friday
Campbell caught all three of his targets for 23 yards in Friday's exhibition win against Carolina.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out New York's preseason opener, Campbell worked with the starters in Friday's win. His longest gain was a 13-yarder in the middle of the field. Campbell appears to be in line to begin as the Giants' WR3 this season, though rookie Jalin Hyatt -- who caught a touchdown pass Friday -- is among a host of pass catchers in a crowded receiver room who could cut into Campbell's snap share.
Aug 4, 2023
Back at practice
Campbell (knee) will return to practice Friday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell missed just one day of practice due to tendinitis in his knee. Prior to that, he was staying busy at Giants training camp, with multiple beat writers reporting that Campbell and TE Darren Waller were drawing the most targets from QB Daniel Jones during practices. The former Colt thus appears on track for a top-three spot at WR to open the season, though it could be a fairly fluid position for the Giants throughout the year given that they have quantity more so than quality at the position.
Aug 3, 2023
Dealing with knee tendinitis
Campbell was held out of Thursday's practice due to knee tendinitis, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played only 15 games over his first three seasons with the Colts before finally staying healthy last year and playing all 17 games en route to a 63-623-3 receiving line. He then signed a one-year contract with the Giants in March, and by all accounts he'd been busy at training camp prior to Thursday, with multiple beat writers reporting that Campbell and TE Darren Waller had seen the most targets from QB Daniel Jones at training camp. Campbell's injury history still lingers as as a relevant factor, but the current issue doesn't sound serious and he thus appears well on his way to a top-three spot on the depth chart to start the season. The Giants have a bunch of wide receivers in the mix for roles, including rookie Jalin Hyatt and ACL recoverees Sterling Shepard and Wan'Dale Robinson, but Duggan projects the Giants will start the season with a veteran trio of Campbell, Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton as the primary WR grouping in 11 personnel.

Staying busy at spring practices
Campbell was frequently targeted by QB Daniel Jones during spring practices and also got some reps as a running back in individual drills and walk-throughs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duggan counted 15 receptions from Jones to Campbell during open practices this spring, four more than any other wide receiver had with the Giants' starting quarterback. Campbell's work in the backfield is also somewhat interesting in light of the Giants' shaky RB depth behind Saquon Barkley, who hasn't signed his franchise tag and has until July 17 to negotiate a long-term contract. Campbell took only 11 carries for 108 yards in 32 games for Indianapolis the past four seasons, but he's at least athletic enough to be more active in that regard, considering he ran a 4.31 40-yard dash at 205 pounds prior to the Colts drafting him 59th overall in 2019. A slew of injuries limited Campbell to 15 games over his first three seasons, and he finally stayed healthy last year but was part of one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL. The Giants signed him to a one-year, $4.7 million contract in March and seemingly want to be more creative with how Campbell is deployed rather than limiting him to short passes out of the

Links up with Daboll in NYC
Campbell is signing with the Giants, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
A 2019 second-round pick with 4.31 speed, Campbell primarily worked the slot in Indianapolis, where the first three years of his career were defined by a long list of injuries. He then played 17 games last season, more than in his first three years combined, but nonetheless finished with a modest receiving line of 63-623-3 on 91 targets. Campbell turns 26 in July and should benefit from coaching and QB upgrades relative to what he dealt with in Indianapolis, though his role remains to be seen and could partially depend on how Wan'Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard fare in their respective recoveries from ACL tears. Isaiah Hodgins is the only healthy receiver under contract with New York at the start of the league year who had a significant role in Brian Daboll's offense last season.

Strong finish to encouraging '22
Campbell secured six of nine targets for 42 yards and rushed once for 26 yards in the Colts' 32-31 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
Campbell put a strong cap on his first fully healthy season since his rookie 2019 campaign, logging action in all 17 games and putting together a career-best 63-623-3 line through the air that he complemented with 58 rushing yards on five attempts. The fourth-year speedster tied Deon Jackson for the team lead in receptions and paced the Colts in targets on the afternoon, making it a noteworthy afternoon all the way around. Campbell is slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year, and he could certainly be an intriguing mid-level asset on the open market if he doesn't return to Indianapolis under what will almost certainly be a new coaching staff.
Jan 1, 2023
Team-high yardage total in loss
Campbell brought in three of six targets for 52 yards and rushed once for one yard in the Colts' 38-10 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell led the Colts in receiving yardage thanks almost entirely to a 49-yard grab. The speedster has been blessed with an extended stretch of good health for the first time in his career this season, and he'll look to build on what was his best receiving yardage total since Week 11 in the regular-season finale versus the Texans at home.
Dec 27, 2022
Catches two of five targets in loss
Campbell hauled in two of five targets for 19 yards during Monday's 20-3 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Campbell finished second among the Colts wideouts in targets and offensive snaps behind Michael Pittman, but the former failed to make much of a fantasy impact. From Weeks 4 through 13, Campbell totaled 45 receptions on 60 targets for 450 yards and three touchdowns, but he's managed just four receptions on eight targets for 32 yards across the Colts' past two games following their Week 14 bye. The 2019 second-round pick figures to operate as the team's No. 2 wideout again in Week 17, but given his recent performances, he'll likely be a risky fantasy play even in deeper leagues.
Dec 17, 2022
Two catches in Week 15 loss
Campbell caught two of four targets for 13 yards in Saturday's 39-36 overtime loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Campbell tied with Alec Pierce for second on the team with four targets, but Michael Pittman led the way with 10 catches for 60 yards on 14 targets to finish as the only Indianapolis receiver with more than two catches. With an inconsistent role on an offense helmed by Matt Ryan -- who hasn't thrown for 250 yards in a game since Week 6 -- Campbell will remain a risky fantasy option in Week 16 against the Chargers.
Dec 5, 2022
Nets 45 yards in blowout loss
Campbell caught four of five targets for 43 yards and had one carry for two yards in Sunday's 54-19 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was one the few bright spots for the Colts' passing game in an otherwise forgettable showing from the entire unit. The 2019 second-round pick was able to bounce back from a rough Week 12, but the end results were still middling from a fantasy perspective. Campbell and the Colts are off for Week 14, resuming play against the Vikings on Dec. 18.
Nov 29, 2022
Shut down by Steelers
Campbell caught two of three targets for 14 yards in Monday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Of Matt Ryan's 199 passing yards, 159 went to either Michael Pittman or rookie tight end Jelani Woods, and Pittman caught the Colts' lone touchdown pass of the night. Campbell had demonstrated decent chemistry with Ryan prior to this dud, but the 25-year-old wide receiver will remain a hit-or-miss option in Week 13 against Dallas as part of a Colts passing game that's failed to find consistency in 2022.
Nov 25, 2022
Returns to full practice
Campbell (illness) practiced fully Friday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was limited in Thursday's practice, but he returned to full participation Friday. Barring a setback, the 25-year-old wide receiver will take the field Monday against a vulnerable Steelers secondary.
Nov 24, 2022
Logs limited listing Thursday
Campbell (illness) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's walk-through.
ANALYSIS
Campbell has two more chances to return to a full practice ahead of Monday night's game against the Steelers. Assuming he's active for the contest, the wideout will maintain a key role in the Colts' passing attack, which has resulted in Campbell totaling 12 catches on 15 targets for 143 yards and a TD over his last two outings.
Nov 20, 2022
Maintains momentum
Campbell caught five passes for 67 yards on six targets against Philadelphia on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell has been rather busy in Matt Ryan's last four starts, drawing 38 targets and turning them into 29 catches for 270 yards and three touchdowns (76.3 percent catch rate, 7.1 yards per target). So long as Ryan remains the Indianapolis starting quarterback, Campbell might continue to turn a corner in his career trajectory. Hopefully he can keep rolling against Pittsburgh in Week 12.
Nov 13, 2022
Posts best yardage of season
Campbell caught seven of nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
With Matt Ryan back under center, the fourth-year wideout set a new season high in receiving yards while capping his day with a 35-yard TD grab in the fourth quarter that proved to be the game-winning score. Campbell has already posted career highs in catches (39), yards (373) and TDs (three) across the board this season, largely because he's been able to stay healthy -- his prior career high for games played was only seven, but he has yet to miss a contest in 2022. The whole Colts offense could struggle to make an impact in Week 11 against the Eagles, however.
Nov 6, 2022
Limited by Patriots
Campbell recorded two receptions on five targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Patriots. He added one rush for one yard.
ANALYSIS
Campbell finished tied for second on the team in both targets and yards, an indication of how much the Colts' offense struggled in Sunday's loss. In positive news, he's maintained a significant role in the offense, typically finishing second in targets behind Michael Pittman. However, Campbell has managed only four receptions for 58 yards combined in the two games since Sam Ehlinger has taken over as quarterback.
Nov 1, 2022
Continues hot streak in Week 8
Campbell caught both of his targets for 43 yards and also recorded a 28-yard carry during Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
After opening the season with just 112 receiving yards through the first five games, Campbell has caught fire over the last three, gathering in 19 of 25 targets for 170 yards and two touchdowns. He also bolstered his Week 8 stat line with his first rush since 2020, which doubled as the team's longest play on the ground. Campbell will look to keep up his hot streak Sunday at New England, whose defense has allowed the 13th-most yards per target (8.5) to opposing wideouts this year.
Oct 23, 2022
Another big effort
Campbell recorded 10 receptions on 12 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Campbell turned in his second consecutive strong performance and led the Colts' receiving corps in targets, receptions and yards. He also accounted for the team's only touchdown of the day on a four-yard catch late in the third quarter. Campbell now has 23 targets across his last two games, and he should the chance to continue to rack up looks in the short areas of the field in the absence of Ashton Dulin (foot).
Oct 16, 2022
Season-high effort in win
Campbell secured seven of 11 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 34-27 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell came out of nowhere to generate season-best reception, yardage and target totals. He also was on the receiving end of one of Matt Ryan's trio of touchdown tosses, recording a four-yard scoring grab late in the second quarter for his first visit to the end zone since Week 6 of last season. Campbell's first opportunity to build on the strong all-around effort comes in a Week 7 road matchup against the Titans.
Oct 7, 2022
Tallies 22 yards in OT win
Campbell secured two of three targets for 22 yards during the Colts' 12-9 overtime win over the Broncos on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell racked up a season-high 43 receiving yards during last week's loss to the Titans, but he was less effective in Thursday's low-scoring victory. The 2019 second-rounder hasn't been targeted more than four times in any of the first five games of the season, and he's secured 11 of 15 targets for 112 yards to begin the year.
Oct 3, 2022
Season-high four receptions
Campbell had four receptions for 43 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
Campbell nearly duplicated his output from the first three games (47 yards) combined. Despite his best game of the season, Campbell played on just 67% of the snaps on offense after playing 77% or more the first three games as the Colts utilized two- and three-tight end sets more frequently. Campbell may continue to have a smaller role in the offense despite his slight increase in production.
Sep 26, 2022
Non-factor again
Campbell started at receiver next to Michael Pittman, but had just two receptions for ten yards on two targets in Sunday's win over Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played on 58 of the offense's 71 snaps, outpacing Alec Pierce (32) and Ashton Dulin (18). However, Pierce had five targets in his return from a concussion. Campbell has been almost a non-factor in the offense despite seeing the second most snaps among receivers with just five receptions for 47 yards and no touchdowns through three games. He could be at risk of losing his starting job before too long.
Sep 18, 2022
Wastes expanded opportunity
Campbell did not record a reception on either of his targets in Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
With Michael Pittman (hip) and Alec Pierce (concussion) sidelined, Campbell had an excellent opportunity to command additional targets among the Colts' pass catchers. In particular, the fact that Dezmon Patton earned six targets was disheartening for Campbell's future prospects of production. Campbell now has only three only receptions on six targets for 37 yards through two games this season, and he appears to be in danger of losing out further on his role in the offense.
Sep 12, 2022
Just 37 yards receiving in opener
Campbell had three receptions for 37 yards on four targets in Sunday's tie at Houston.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's stats are a little misleading in that he had a 27-yard garbage time reception when both teams were just running out the clock at the end of overtime. Campbell played on 71 of the offense's 92 snaps, but didn't appear to be a big part of the game plan and Matt Ryan appeared to have a better rapport with Ashton Dulin. At least Campbell stayed healthy (he's played just 15 games in three years) and it's just one game, but there's reason for concern.
Aug 28, 2022
Another target-free outing
Campbell started Saturday's preseason win against the Buccaneers, but he wasn't targeted on 13 offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
While Campbell saw action in all three of the Colts' exhibitions, he only saw two passes comes his way and didn't haul in either of them. He thus enters the regular season with no in-game connections with new starting quarterback Matt Ryan, and Campbell also has ample competition for targets in the form of top wide receiver Michael Pittman and rookie second-round pick Alec Pierce. On top of that, injuries have limited Campbell, a 2019 second-rounder himself, to 15 games and 34 catches through three campaigns.
Aug 20, 2022
Plays just nine snaps Saturday
Campbell wasn't targeted in Saturday's 27-26 preseason loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played nine snaps on the first drive but Nick Foles didn't look his way. Rookie Alec Pierce, who's competing with Campbell for a starting role, caught his only target for nine yards, so neither player did much to create separation in their competition. Campbell will likely be more involved in the Colts' preseason finale, Aug. 27 against the Buccaneers.
Aug 13, 2022
No receptions in preseason debut
Campbell was targeted twice in Saturday's preseason loss to Buffalo, but didn't have a catch and had a drop.
ANALYSIS
Indy's passing game was sluggish as Matt Ryan had just 58 yards passing in four drives. The good news is that the oft-injured Campbell is healthy after having a sore hamstring last week in practice. Campbell started at wide receiver in a three-receiver set and has mostly started over rookie Alec Pierce in two-receiver sets in practice. Despite the lackluster first game, Campbell should get every chance for a sizeable role if he can stay on the field.
Aug 10, 2022
Returns to limited practice
Campbell (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, going through 7-on-7s with his teammates, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was held out of practice Monday and said he'd be back by Wednesday. So far, so good, even if he wasn't a full participant. The 2019 second-round pick has played only 15 games through three seasons, but he's the favorite for slot work in Indy and could even get some run outside in two-wide formations (perhaps depending on the development of rookie second-round pick Alec Pierce).
Aug 8, 2022
Notices minor hammy tightness
Campbell was held out of practice Monday with a tight hamstring but said he'll be back on the field Wednesday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds minor, though still worth making note of given Campbell's lengthy medical record. The 2019 second-round pick has played 15 games through three seasons, never once staying healthy for more than four consecutive contests. Campbell has a big opportunity this year, nonetheless, with he and rookie Alec Pierce reportedly getting most of the first-team WR snaps alongside No. 1 Michael Pittman. If it's those three at the top of the depth chart come Week 1, the 25-year-old Campbell likely will see a lot of work in the slot, though snaps in two-wide sets wouldn't be out of the question. First he'll need to get his hamstring right.
Jul 29, 2022
Getting nod in two-WR sets
Campbell began training camp as a starter with the first-team offense in two-receiver sets, 93.5 ESPN Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, rookie Alec Pierce worked with the first- and second-team units. This isn't a surprise since the oft-injured Campbell is healthy for the moment and Pierce is a rookie (2022 2nd-round pick) who will need to earn his way into the starting lineup. Still, it's notable that Campbell is getting the nod in two-receiver sets. Campbell missed most of last season after having foot surgery in October, but he returned for Week 18 and now has remained healthy throughout the offseason. How long he stays that way is anyone's guess, as injuries have limited the 2019 second-round pick to 15 games total in three seasons.
Jun 22, 2022
Looking good this summer
Campbell was busy at June minicamp, exclusively working with the first-team offense and catching passes all over the field, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell missed most of last season after having foot surgery in October, but he returned for Week 18 and now has remained healthy throughout the offseason. How long he stays that way is anyone's guess, as injuries have limited the 2019 second-round pick to 15 games total in three seasons. Campbell has the inside track for a top-three role nonetheless, facing weak competition for snaps behind No. 1 receiver Michael Pittman. Apart from Pittman, Campbell and second-round rookie Alec Pierce, the Colts have a host of undrafted young players and late-round picks at wide receiver.
May 18, 2022
Facing zero limitations
Campbell (foot) told reporters Wednesday that he feels great and hasn't had any physical limitations during the offseason, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell underwent foot surgery following Week 6 last year and returned to play eight snaps in the Colts' forgettable Week 18 loss to the Jaguars. However, the wideout revealed Wednesday that he played that contest with a plate and screws in his foot, which were removed two weeks after the season concluded, per Zak Keefer of The Athletic. Campbell has had three consecutive injury-plagued campaigns to start his career and the Colts added Alec Pierce in the draft, so it's possible the Ohio State product could be facing an uphill battle to make Indianapolis' initial 53-man roster. However, Campbell is only due $1.1 million next season and is finally healthy, so the Colts don't face much risk rolling the dice on him breaking out in his fourth NFL season.
Jan 11, 2022
Plays eight snaps in return
Campbell was targeted three times in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville and played eight snaps on offense.
ANALYSIS
It was Campbell's first game since Week 6 due to foot surgery. Campbell played just six games and had 10 receptions for 162 yards with a touchdown. It was his third consecutive injury plagued season as he's played just 15 games in three seasons. With a $1.1 million salary in his final contract year in 2022, the Colts won't save a ton by releasing him. Given his inability to stay on the field, however, it's possible the Colts could release him and move in another direction.
Jan 8, 2022
Activated from IR
Campbell (foot) has been activated off IR in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Campbell, who last suited up in Week 6, bolsters a Colts wideout corps ahead of the team's regular-season finale that also includes Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton, Zach Pascal and Ashton Dulin. Prior to landing on IR, Campbell logged a 10/162/1 stat line (on 17 targets) in five games and in his return from an extended layoff, the 2019 second-rounder profiles as a speculative Week 18 lineup option.
Jan 7, 2022
Could be activated for Week 18
Coach Frank Reich relayed Friday that the Colts may activate Campbell (foot) from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's contest in Jacksonville, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. "I thought he had a good week," Reich said, "and we just need to see how he continues to respond."
ANALYSIS
The Colts designated Campbell for return from IR during Week 17 prep, but they opted not to activate him for what ultimately was a 23-20 loss to the Raiders this past Sunday. With more than a week of drills under his belt, he appears to have a much better chance this time around to get back on the active roster, a decision that must be made by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. If he finally makes his return from a Week 6 foot fracture, Campbell would join a receiving corps currently composed of regulars like Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton, Zach Pascal and Ashton Dulin.
Dec 30, 2021
Evaluation window for IR return opens
Indianapolis designated Campbell for return from injured reserve Thursday, Colts CEO Jim Irsay confirmed via his personal Twitter account.
ANALYSIS
The transaction open up a 21-day window for the Colts to evaluate Campbell for a return to the 53-man roster, and the wideout could be activated in advance of Sunday's game against the Raiders if he responds well to practice activity Thursday and Friday. In order for Campbell to be available for Week 17, he would have to be formally activated no later than 4 p.m. ET on Saturday. Before fracturing his foot Week 6 and requiring surgery, Campbell had suited up in five of the team's first six games, recording 10 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown across 17 targets.
Dec 30, 2021
Back at practice
Campbell (foot) was present for practice Thursday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With that, Campbell who was placed on IR after sustaining a foot injury in Week 6, appears to be inching toward a return to action. At this stage, however, it remains to be seen how close he is to suiting up again. For now, Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal are the Colts' top available wideouts.
Dec 27, 2021
Gets in workout Monday
Campbell (foot) was spotted working out on the side during the Colts' informal practice session Monday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The wideout's workout didn't qualify as practicing, as the Colts would have to designate him for return from injured reserve in order for him to take part in drills alongside his healthy teammates. That being said, Campbell looks like he might be able to do just that within the next couple weeks, potentially setting himself up for a return to the 53-man roster during the postseason or perhaps even in Week 18 in a best-case scenario. Campbell hasn't played since Week 6 after undergoing foot surgery in mid-October.
Dec 19, 2021
Return not imminent
Campbell (foot) is making good progress but there is no specific update regarding his status, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell has been sidelined since mid-October after undergoing foot surgery. He was given a two-to-three month timeline, meaning he could be in line for a return at any point. Even so, it doesn't sound as if his return is imminent. That will leave Michael Pittman, T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal as the Colts' primary wide receivers for the foreseeable future.
Oct 22, 2021
Looking at 2-3 month recovery
Campbell (foot) has a recovery timetable of 2-3 months after undergoing foot surgery and has not been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Mike Chappell of FOX59/CBS4 Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The most optimistic outcome would have Campbell returning in two months to face the Patriots in Week 15. He'll likely need some time to get up to speed once his rehab is complete, but a return late in the regular season or for the playoffs, should the Colts make it, is on the table for the third-year wideout. Campbell will need to be removed from IR in order to resume playing.
Oct 22, 2021
Recovering from foot surgery
Campbell underwent foot surgery Friday that could potentially end his season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell landed on injured reserve earlier this week with the foot injury, and he's expected to face an extended absence while going through his recovery. The 24-year-old caught 10 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown in five games this season. Michael Pittman, Zach Pascal and T.Y. Hilton (quad) should continue operating at Indianapolis' top three wideouts.
Oct 19, 2021
Hits IR
Campbell (foot) has been placed on injured reserve, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell can't seem to stay healthy, playing just a combined nine games between 2019 and 2020 and finding himself on injured reserve yet again in 2021. Even when he was healthy, Campbell managed to rack up just 10 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets through five games this season. With him out of commission, T.Y. Hilton (quad) figures to handle as many reps as he can moving forward along with Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal.
Oct 18, 2021
Foot injury serious
Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Campbell (foot) is dealing with a serious injury and will miss time, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Reich did not rule out Campbell's injury being season-ending, saying "it's too soon to tell," per Erickson. It's a brutal turn of events for Campbell, who not only is coming off back-to-back impressive performances, but could now potentially be dealing with a season-ending injury for the third time in as many years. It looks like the 2019 second-round pick, who has only appeared in 14 games in his NFL career, is destined for a stint on IR at the very least. On a brighter note for Indianapolis, T.Y. Hilton (quadricep) has avoided a severe injury and is considered day-to-day.
Oct 17, 2021
Injures foot Sunday
Campbell has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Texans after suffering a foot injury, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit from the contest, Campbell caught his only target for a 51-yard TD. In his absence, T.Y. Hilton and Michael Pittman will head the Colts' Week 6 wideout corps.
Oct 12, 2021
Banged up after Monday's loss
Campbell sustained knee and ankle injuries in Monday's 31-25 overtime loss to the Ravens, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Suiting up Monday for the fourth time in five games, Campbell played 38 of the Colts' 69 offensive snaps in the loss, finishing with season highs across the board in receptions (four), targets (six) and yards (56). Though he wasn't forced out of the game at any point, Campbell appears to have gotten banged up along the way, which could make it a challenge for him to gain clearance for the Colts' Week 7 contest against the Texans.
Oct 4, 2021
Just two receptions Sunday
Campbell had two receptions for 22 yards on three targets in Sunday's win at Miami.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's playing time was down as he was used on 31 of the offense's 71 snaps as the Colts used fewer three-receiver sets while the running game was going well (Jonathan Taylor had 103 yards rushing). Campbell still has upside if Indy's passing game gets in high gear, but Sunday's win showed Indy may be best when focused on the run.
Sep 27, 2021
Just two receptions Sunday
Campbell had two receptions for nine yards on four targets in Sunday's loss at Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
Campbell started as an outside receiver opposite Michael Pittman and played on 49 of the offense's 61 snaps. He saw a healthy amount of playing time (Pascal had 54 snaps and Pittman had 57) as well. Both are positives after he missed last week's game with an abdomen injury. He wasn't very productive, however, but that could be a by-product of Carson Wentz playing on sore ankles. Campbell still has upside if Indy's passing game can get on track.
Sep 24, 2021
Cleared for Week 3
Campbell (abdomen) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Campbell started the week with consecutive limited practices but was cleared after a full practice Friday. Quarterback Carson Wentz (ankles) also progressed Friday, logging a limited session after a pair of absences to earn a questionable tag. Campbell has some intriguing upside against the porous Titans secondary, but he's unlikely to realize that upside if Wentz sits.
Sep 23, 2021
Remains limited Thursday
Campbell (abdomen) logged a second consecutive limited practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's trying to get back in the lineup in Week 3 against Tennessee after sitting out last week's loss to the Rams, but his status remains up in the air after back-to-back limited sessions. Fellow wide receiver Zach Pascal (illness) practiced fully Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice, while quarterback Carson Wentz (ankles) remained sidelined for the second day in a row.
Sep 22, 2021
Limited to start week
Campbell (abdomen) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was the team's No. 3 receiver in Week 1 before missing Week 2 with an abdomen injury. He could make it back this weekend for a favorable matchup against the struggling Tennessee defense, but potentially with Jacob Eason starting at QB rather than Carson Wentz for the Colts.
Sep 22, 2021
At practice Wednesday
Campbell (abdomen) was present for practice Wednesday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
After being added to the Colts' Week 2 injury report this past Friday, Campbell was inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. The wideout's presence on the field Wednesday, however, suggests that he could return to action this weekend against the Titans. Wednesday's injury report will reveal his official level of practice participation.
Sep 19, 2021
Inactive against Rams
Campbell (abdomen) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Though an earlier report suggested the Colts were confident Campbell would play this weekend after he was a limited participant in Friday's practice, the wideout must have not felt right in pregame warmups. Rookie Mike Strachan will likely have a larger role in the passing game with Campbell out.
Sep 19, 2021
Expected to play Sunday
Indianapolis is confident that both Michael Pittman (ankle) and Campbell (abdomen) will be available for Sunday's game against the Rams despite both being listed as questionable on the official injury report, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Schefter adds that the team does want to test both players in pre-game warmups before making a final decision. Both Campbell and Michael Pittman (ankle) appeared on the injury report for the first time Friday.

Questionable for Week 2
Campbell (abdomen) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Both Campbell and Michael Pittman (ankle) appeared on the injury report for the first time Friday. The Colts can ill afford to lose either starting outside receiver since they're already without T.Y. Hilton (neck) heading into a daunting matchup with the Rams' sturdy secondary. Campbell will look to overcome this tough matchup after a Week 1 dud in which he started but caught only one pass.
Sep 13, 2021
Just one reception Sunday
Campbell started at receiver opposite Michael Pittman with Zach Pascal in the slot in Sunday's loss to Seattle, but had just one reception for 24 yards on three targets.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played on 46 of the offense's 76 snaps compared to 74 snaps for Pittman and 69 snaps for Pascal. Campbell should have a steady role in the passing game while T.Y. Hilton is out with a neck injury, but he may not get many targets if the Indy offensive line continues to struggle in pass protection and if the Colts continue to spread the ball around (eight players had two or more targets).

Returns to full practice
Campbell (Achilles) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After logging a limited session Wednesday, Campbell practiced fully Thursday which paves the way for him to suit up for Sunday's season opener against the Seahawks. With T.Y. Hilton out multiple weeks due to a neck injury, Campbell figures to work in a slot role out of the gate this season, while Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal handle outside reps in three-wideout sets.
Sep 8, 2021
Limited with achilles injury
Campbell was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to an Achilles injury. It is more of a lingering issue than a new injury suffered in practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell is set to begin the season as the No. 3 receiver and a starter in three-receiver sets with T.Y. Hilton out multiple weeks after neck surgery. He'll likely work in the slot role with Zach Pascal playing outside in three-receiver sets. Campbell's 4.31 40-yard dash speed could make him a breakout candidate if he can stay healthy, so this is a concern even if minor given his injury history (played just nine games the last two seasons).
Aug 29, 2021
Could be set for larger role
Campbell will likely have a larger role with T.Y. Hilton sidelined multiple weeks due to a neck injury, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports. "I already knew I needed to step up after my last two years ... and now with TY being out, we know as an entire group we need to step up," Campbell said.
ANALYSIS
Campbell will likely move into the slot role with Zach Pascal playing outside in three-receiver sets, but the receiving corps could be in flux early in the season as Indy also features three tight ends with plus receiving skills. Still, Campbell's 4.31 40-yard dash speed could make him a breakout candidate if he can stay healthy (he's played just nine games the last two seasons).

Blanked in box score
Campbell was held without a catch on two targets during Saturday's preseason victory in Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Campbell's first target was a high pass from Sam Ehlinger that went off his fingertips and into the arms of Vikings linebacker Troy Dye, who returned it to the house for the only TD of the game. The performance was a far cry from preseason Week 1, when Campbell's only look from Jacob Eason went for a 37-yard gain. Considering Eason has been the more consistent passer between him and Ehlinger, Campbell and the rest of the offense may fair better with Eason if one of the two is called on to start for Carson Wentz (foot) in Week 1.
Aug 15, 2021
Shows speed in preseason opener
Campbell had a 37-yard reception on his only target in Sunday's preseason win over Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Campbell played ten snaps and showed his outstanding speed when Jacob Eason hit him in stride on a deep ball. He showed he's back to full strength after coming back from October 2020 surgery to address MCL and PCL injuries in his left knee.
May 19, 2021
Fully healthy
Campbell was cleared last week and is officially good to go moving forward, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell has had some tough luck with injuries early in his career but the 2019 second-round pick appears to finally be healthy again. He's coming off of a season in which he played just 63 offensive snaps in two games and recorded six catches for 71 yards, which follows just a seven-game rookie campaign due to injury. Still, he's just heading into his age 23 season, so there is still reason to believe he could have a breakout campaign in store alongside T.Y. Hilton and Michael Pittman if he can stay on the field.

Still has GM's confidence
General manager Chris Ballard said that Campbell (knee) will be "a valuable member of [the Colts] moving forward" and called the 23-year-old's recent injuries "bad luck," George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Ballard made clear that Campbell remains in good standing with Indianapolis' coaching staff despite having begun his career with back-to-back injury-plagued seasons. Campbell flashed a bit of his tantalizing upside against Jacksonville back in Week 1, securing six of nine catches for 71 yards, but he suffered what proved to be a season-ending knee injury after playing just two offensive snaps the next game. After undergoing October surgery to address both MCL and PCL injuries in his left knee, Campbell's next task will be returning to full health in time to begin the Colts' offseason program. With T.Y. Hilton scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, Campbell is facing prime opportunity to lock in one of Indianapolis' top receiver spots alongside Michael Pittman for 2021.

Likely done for season
The Colts aren't expecting Campbell (knee) to return from injured reserve this season, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Citing a team source, Keefer relays that it would take a "minor miracle" for Campbell to play again in 2020 after the wideout required surgery in October to address injuries to the MCL and PCL in his left knee. The 23-year-old has now had both of his first two professional seasons end early due to injuries, as he was limited to just seven appearances as a rookie. Campbell played in just two games in 2020, hauling in six of nine targets for 71 yards in a season-opening loss to the Jaguars before exiting with the knee injury on the first drive of the Colts' Week 2 win over the Vikings.
Sep 28, 2020
Will undergo surgery soon
Campbell (knee) is scheduled for a procedure to address his left MCL and PCL injuries in the near future, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Campbell isn't ruled out for the season, but a timetable for the second-year pro's recovery still remains undisclosed. The 23-year-old looked electric in the season opener when he torched Jacksonville for six catches and 71 yards, and with Michael Pittman (knee) now evidently in line for a multi-week absence, it would provide a significant boost for Indianapolis' receiving corps if Campbell were eventually able to return to the lineup.
Sep 28, 2020
Not ruled out for the season
Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Campbell (knee) is not yet officially ruled out for the year, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reich declined to provide a timetable for Campbell's recovery, or specify whether he'll require any procedures to repair the sprained MCL and PCL in his left knee, but it at least looks as though the second-year pro could return down the stretch. With rookie second-round pick Michael Pittman (calf) also now nursing what looks like a multi-week injury, the stage appears set for Zach Pascal, Daurice Fountain, Ashton Dulin and Dezmon Patmon to take on expanded roles behind T.Y. Hilton.
Sep 22, 2020
Out at least three weeks
The Colts placed Campbell (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Indianapolis hasn't outlined a formal timeline for Campbell's return after he sprained the MCL and PCL in his left knee early in Sunday's win over the Vikings, but his move to IR ensures that he'll be sidelined for at least three games. According to George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin, Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni said Tuesday that Zach Pascal would serve as Campbell's primary replacement at slot receiver, though Indianapolis could take a committee approach to the position that may also result in T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman and Nyheim Hines getting reps.
Sep 21, 2020
Will miss time
Coach Frank Reich relayed Monday that Campbell, who suffered MCL and PCL injuries in Week 2, is "going to miss some time," Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
At this stage, there's not a clear timetable for Campbell's return and it has yet to be determined if the wideout will require a procedure. That said, it's safe to rule Campbell out for this coming Sunday's game against the Jets. His absence should free up snaps behind top option T.Y. Hilton for rookie Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal, as well as Daurice Fountain and Ashton Dulin, to a lesser degree.
Sep 21, 2020
Sprained MCL and PCL
Campbell is nursing a sprained MCL and PCL and does not yet have an official recovery timetable, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell was initially reported to have only injured his PCL on the second play of Sunday's win over the Vikings, but after undergoing an MRI on Monday damage to his MCL was also revealed. It's good news for Campbell that his ACL was spared, but he now looks in line for another lengthy recovery timeframe after having just dealt with an injury-riddled rookie season in 2019. Rookie second-round pick Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal will handle starting roles across from T.Y. Hilton in three-wide sets.
Sep 21, 2020
Sidelined with PCL injury
Campbell (knee) suffered a PCL injury during Sunday's win over the Vikings and is expected to be out indefinitely, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell had to be carted off the field Sunday after injuring his knee, so it's encouraging to see that he avoided the worst-case scenario of an ACL tear. However, the results of Monday's MRI make it look as though Campbell is in danger of missing significant time. It appears to be only a matter of time before the Colts officially rule Campbell out for Week 3 against the Jets, in which case Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal will be in line to see increased work across from T.Y. Hilton.
Sep 20, 2020
Avoids ACL tear
Campbell didn't suffer a torn ACL during Sunday's 28-11 win against the Vikings, but an MRI will be performed to uncover the nature of his knee injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Whenever a player is carted off the field, as Campbell was Sunday, the worst can be feared, but it appears the second-year wide receiver avoided that scenario in this case. Still, testing will determine both his diagnosis and subsequent prognosis. If Campbell is forced to miss time, Zach Pascal and Michael Pittman will see additional run alongside No. 1 WR T.Y. Hilton.
Sep 20, 2020
Carted off Sunday
Campbell was carted off the field with an apparent knee injury during Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
The injury occurred early in the first quarter of Sunday's game. Campbell struggled with an assortment of injuries in his rookie 2019 season, and this could be another potentially serious issue.
Sep 13, 2020
Leads team in receiving yards
Campbell tallied six receptions on nine targets for 71 yards in Week 1 against the Jaguars. He also chipped in one rush for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Campbell got off to a fast start, tallying receptions of 21 and 18 yards on the first two offensive possessions. He turned in one additional reception of 17 yards in the second quarter, but was largely quiet thereafter. Campbell tied for the team-lead in targets with T.Y. Hilton, a positive sign that he is in line to take a leap in his second season as a pro. He'll look to build on this effort in the team's Week 2 matchup against the Vikings.
Sep 3, 2020
Makes more progress
Campbell (concussion) practiced for a second consecutive day Wednesday and was not wearing a red non-contact jersey, the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not clear if he's been cleared from the concussion protocol, but he's making progress and it looks like he could be ready for Week 1. Campbell entered the protocol after a minor car accident last week. If and when he's healthy, Campbell seems like the top candidate to work with T.Y. Hilton and rookie second-rounder Michael Pittman when the Colts employ three-wide formations.
Sep 1, 2020
Returns to field, still in protocol
Campbell returned to practice Tuesday but remains in the concussion protocol, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell entered the protocol after a minor car accident last week. While he was on the field Tuesday, he wore a non-contact jersey, indicating he's still working his way through the five steps to gain clearance. If and when he's healthy, Campbell seems like the top candidate to work with T.Y. Hilton and rookie second-rounder Michael Pittman when the Colts employ three-wide formations.
Aug 28, 2020
Remains in concussion protocol
Campbell (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Kevin Bowen of 1075thefan.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell, who is in the NFL's concussion protocol after he was in a minor car accident Wednesday, did watch Friday's session from the field, with Bowen noting that "normally, if a player suffers a particularly severe concussion, they would not be attending practice just a couple of days following the injury." Supporting that notion is that coach Frank Reich indicated Friday that Campbell "is going to be fine." While there's no precise timetable for the wideout's return to practice, time is on his side, with the Colts' season opener not until Sept. 13.
Aug 26, 2020
Concussed in car accident
Campbell entered the concussion protocol Wednesday after he was involved in a minor car accident, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Multiple reports suggest the second-year pro has been one of the standout performers at Colts training camp, bouncing back strong after his rookie season was marred by a sports hernia, a broken hand, a fractured foot and a hamstring injury. His bad lack may be carrying over to 2020, but Campbell at least has two and a half weeks to make his way through the concussion protocol before the Colts open their season Sept. 13 at Jacksonville. A Week 1 absence could lead to more snaps for Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal, though neither is similar to Campbell stylistically.
Aug 23, 2020
Looks explosive in camp
Campbell has had a strong training camp so far and has looked explosive, Kevin Bowen of The Fan105.5 FM Indianapolis reports. "He looks strong, fast, smart, explosive, good hands, understands the offense, consistent," head coach Frank Reich said. "It's early but that's what we are looking for from him. Now we just need that to continue to build."
ANALYSIS
The 2019 second-round pick had terrible luck as a rookie, suffering a sports hernia, a broken hand, a fractured foot and a hamstring injury, which limited him to seven games. Reich earlier in the summer mentioned the slot as a place where Campbell can operate, but his speed could see him used in several roles. Either way, a healthy training camp could have him poised for a large role in the offense.
Jun 23, 2020
Returns to health
Campbell (foot) is 100 percent healthy and has been running routes since March or April, Andrew Walker of Colts.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 second-round pick had terrible luck as a rookie, suffering a sports hernia, a broken hand, a fractured foot and a hamstring injury. He somehow managed to play seven games in between, putting up an 18-127-1 receiving line on 196 offensive snaps. The Colts expect Campbell to handle a much bigger role in Year 2, with coach Frank Reich specifically mentioning the slot as a place where the soon-to-be 23-year-old should thrive. T.Y. Hilton and rookie second-round pick Michael Pittman also are capable of working inside, while Campbell has the size/speed profile to function as an outside receiver if need be. Reich will have plenty of options as he decides how to deploy his wide receivers for new quarterback Philip Rivers.
May 26, 2020
More slot work on tap
Colts coach Frank Reich said Tuesday that he anticipates Campbell (foot) seeing more reps out of the slot in 2020, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Reich indicated that while he's willing to move Campbell around the formation, the slot may be the best spot for the second-year receiver to find consistent playing time with No. 1 target T.Y. Hilton and rookie Michael Pittman profiling as the top options out wide. Campbell was limited to just seven games in 2019, with a sports hernia, hamstring injury, broken hand and foot fracture costing him time. Reich noted that Campbell is still going through the final stages of his rehab for the broken foot, so the expectation is that the 22-year-old will be ready to go for the start of training camp.
Jan 31, 2020
Hopes to be healthy in February
Campbell (foot) has been rehabbing in Indianapolis, hoping to be healthy enough for high-intensity workouts by mid-February, Jim Ayello of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-round pick broke his foot during a Week 14 loss to Tampa Bay, capping off a frustrating rookie season that also featured a sports hernia, a hamstring injury and a broken hand. Campbell actually played with the foot fracture throughout much of that Week 14 contest, but X-rays after the game revealed it to be a season-ending injury. He finished the year with an 18-127-1 receiving line on 24 targets and four carries for 34 yards, averaging 28 offensive snaps in seven appearances. Campbell should return to health before OTAs, at which point he'll compete for the Colts' No. 2 or 3 spot at wide receiver.
Nov 18, 2019
Estimated as limited participant
Campbell (hand) was estimated as a limited participated on Monday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
The Colts only held a walkthrough Monday, but the fact Campbell was expected to participate in some capacity is a good sign for his recovery from a fractured hand. The rookie second-round pick may not be able to return for Thursday's game at Houston due to the short week of preparation, but he appears on track for a return Week 13 as previously expected.
Nov 1, 2019
Could see larger role
Campbell could have a larger role in the Indianapolis offense with T.Y. Hilton set to miss several weeks with a calf injury, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell did not have a target and played just eight snaps in last week's win over Denver. However, Campbell may have been eased into action after missing three weeks due to an abdominal injury. He could be moved up into a role where he's the deep threat in an attempt to replace Hilton's speed in the offense.
Oct 4, 2019
Out after abdominal procedure
Coach Frank Reich relayed Friday that Campbell is out indefinitely after undergoing a procedure to address an abdominal injury, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reich didn't officially rule Campbell out beyond Sunday's game in Kansas City, but the wideout will most likely miss multiple contests after going under the knife. It's a disappointing development for the rookie, who had just garnered a season-high eight targets while playing 63 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 4 loss to the Raiders. Campbell's absence should help the likes of Zach Pascal, Deon Cain and Chester Rogers earn regular snaps as depth wideouts behind No. 1 receiver T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps).
Sep 30, 2019
Nursing abdominal issue
Campbell suffered an abdomen injury during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Raiders, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell picked up the abdomen injury during the second quarter of Sunday's loss, but he was able to retake the field and play the whole second half. It's encouraging that the rookie second-round pick was able to finish the game, but the nature and severity of his issue still remain undisclosed. With T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) also managing an injury, the Colts may kick off practice this week with only Deon Cain, Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Ashton Dulin as healthy options at the receiver position.
Sep 29, 2019
Exits game with injury
Campbell is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders due to an abdominal injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell exited Sunday's contest late in the second quarter, so he'll spend halftime undergoing further medical evaluation. With T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) inactive, the Colts could be forced to proceed with Deon Cain, Zach Pascal and Chester Rogers as their top wide receivers if Campbell is unable to return.
Sep 27, 2019
Could be set for larger role
Campbell and Deon Cain could be in for larger roles with T.Y. Hilton (quad) listed as doubtful on the official injury report for Sunday's game against Oakland, Kevin Bowen reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell could emerge as the most targeted receiver Sunday as his role in the offense has grown each week (32 snaps on offense in Week 3 after 18 snaps each of the first two weeks). Still, the pecking order for targets if Hilton is out isn't clear as the other receivers nearly equally split snap counts last week. The Colts may also use more two-TE sets.
