Mitchell finished Sunday's 28-22 win over the Vikings with four solo tackles.

Full practice Thursday
Mitchell (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell exited the team's Week 6 loss to the Giants on Thursday Night Football in the second quarter with a hamstring injury, ultimately failing to return to action. After opening the week as a limited participant at practice, the cornerback now appears to be all set to play in Sunday's matchup with the Vikings, likely being tasked with neutralizing Justin Jefferson.

Limited during Wednesday's practice
Mitchell (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell departed with a hamstring injury early in the second quarter of last Thursday's loss to the Giants and wasn't able to return. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that Mitchell is iffy to suit up in Week 7 in Minnesota, but his ability to practice -- albeit in a limited capacity -- Wednesday should bring some optimism about Mitchell's likelihood of playing. If, however, he can't take the field against the Vikings, Kelee Ringo could be asked to start at cornerback along with Adoree' Jackson.

Status uncertain for Week 7
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that it remains to be seen if Mitchell (hamstring) will be able to play Sunday against the Vikings, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was injured in the first half of last Thursday night's loss to the Giants and was unable to return to the contest. Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson stepped into increased defensive roles alongside Cooper DeJean at cornerback for the Eagles in Mitchell's absence and would likely see elevated roles once again if Mitchell is unable to play against Minnesota.

Won't return against Giants
Mitchell was ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Giants due to a hamstring injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell suffered the hamstring injury early in the second quarter and spent a considerable amount of time being evaluated in the medical tent. The severity of the issue is unclear, but he'll have some extra time to rest before a Week 7 matchup against the Vikings.

Hurts hamstring against Giants
Mitchell is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Giants due to a hamstring injury, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell appeared to suffer the injury early in the second quarter. He spent a considerable amount of time in the medical tent and re-emerged with a hat, rather than his helmet. Mitchell is officially questionable to return, but his status looks to be in doubt.

Seven stops in Week 5 loss
Mitchell finished Sunday's 21-17 loss to Denver with seven tackles (five solo) and one pass defense.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was on the field for all 74 defensive snaps Sunday and finished third on the Eagles in tackles behind Zack Baun (12) and Jihaad Campbell (11). Mitchell has logged at least five tackles in each of the Eagles' last three games and is up to 24 tackles (19 solo), seven pass defenses and one fumble recovery through the first five games of the regular season.

Very disruptive in Week 4 win
Mitchell racked up five defensed passes and five tackles (four solo) Sunday in a 31-25 victory against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was electric in coverage Sunday, breaking up five of the nine passes that were thrown his way. He came into the contest with one defensed passes through three weeks but is now up to six, tied for third-most in the league. Mitchell also has 17 tackles over four games.

Dynamic in season opener
Mitchell recorded four tackles (three solo), a pass defensed and a fumble recovery during Thursday's 24-20 win versus the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Not only was Mitchell strong in coverage Thursday against a dangerous wide receiver duo, but he also came up with a loose football deep in Philadelphia territory late in the third quarter to help preserve a 24-20 lead. He should play a near-every down role again in Week 2 when the Eagles travel to Kansas City.

Stars during 2024 rookie campaign
Mitchell logged 46 tackles (37 solo) and 12 passes defended across 16 regular-season games in 2024. He tacked on 14 tackles (12 solo) and four passes defended, including two interceptions, across four playoff games.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was an immediate impact player as a rookie, starting all 16 of his regular-season appearances opposite veteran Darius Slay. The first-round pick out of Toledo didn't record his first interception until the wild-card round win against Green Bay, and he got his second with a late interception during the NFC Championship game versus Washington. He ultimately finished second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting behind the Rams' Jared Verse. Mitchell and Slay should once again form one of the NFL's best starting cornerback duos in 2025.

Logs full practice Thursday
Mitchell (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell suffered a shoulder injury during the Eagles' NFC divisional-round win over the Rams. He was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated report, but his ability to practice in full Thursday indicates that he should be good to go for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders. The 2024 first-round pick finished his first NFL regular season with 46 tackles (37 solo) and 12 pass defenses across 16 games.

Estimated as limited Wednesday
Mitchell (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday's estimated report.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell injured his shoulder in the first quarter of this past Sunday's NFC divisional-round win over the Rams. He was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, but he told reporters after the session that he is "ready to go" for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders, per Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. While Mitchell has expressed optimism on his chances to play, his practice participation over the next two days will determine whether he enters Sunday's game with an injury designation.

Avoids major injury
Mitchell (shoulder) is believed to have avoided a major injury in Sunday's 28-22 NFC divisional-round win over the Rams, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell exited the game in the first quarter Sunday, ultimately remaining on the sidelines for the rest of the contest. The cornerback will now have a week to get ready to go for Philadelphia's matchup with the Commanders in the NFC conference-championship game. If he's unable to go, Isaiah Rodgers would likely draw the start versus Washington.

Won't return versus Rams
Mitchell (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell's first-half shoulder injury will keep him sidelined for at least the remainder of Sunday's divisional-round matchup. It's unclear if the standout rookie cornerback will have a chance to return if the Eagles win and advance to next Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Commanders. Expect cornerback Isaiah Rodgers to step up into a bigger role for the time being.

Exits with injury Sunday
Mitchell is questionable to return to Sunday's divisional-round game versus the Rams with a shoulder injury
ANALYSIS
Mitchell logged one tackle before exiting during the first quarter. The rookie first-rounder has been a standout cornerback for Philadelphia this season, tallying 46 tackles and 12 passes defended over 16 regular-season games. In Mitchell's absence, Kelee Ringo and/or Isaiah Rodgers will step up opposite CB1 Darius Slay.
Jan 5, 2025
Available for Week 18
Mitchell (rest) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell was a limited practice participant all week, as the Eagles were presumably pondering whether to keep him inactive for the regular-season finale while Philadelphia is locked into the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. He ultimately wasn't included on the 11-player inactive list, and while Mitchell will suit up, it wouldn't be surprising if he played limited snaps or was held out of the game entirely. The rookie first-round pick has already established himself as a standout cornerback, as he enters Sunday's contest having recorded 46 tackles and 12 pass breakups through 16 appearances.

Getting reps in slot
Mitchell has recently been getting most of the first-team reps at slot corner during training camp, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
Mitchell, the rookie first-round pick by the Eagles, has seemingly captured the starting slot corner job from seven-year veteran Avonte Maddox. Mitchell primarily played at outside corner at Toledo, but Philadelphia already has Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers and Kelee Ringo at that position. Mitchell started Friday's preseason game against the Ravens at outside corner before being bumped to the slot, and head coach Vic Fangio said Sunday that it would "be ideal" for the rookie corner to focus his workload on one position. Mitchell played 30 snaps Friday (24 on defense, six on special teams) and finished with one pass defended and zero tackles.
