Scooped up by Dallas
The Cowboys signed Sieg on Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Sieg had spent the entirety of his five-year career with the Raiders before getting released earlier in the offseason following the signing of Jacob Bobenmoyer. The 27-year-old will replace Jake McQuaide who signed with the Lions, and with no other long snappers currently on the roster, Sieg will look to lock down the starting role for next season.

Placed on COVID-19 list
Sieg has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston.
ANALYSIS
Sieg is a key piece on special teams for the Raiders, and his absence would be greatly felt in the event that he gets ruled out. Right now, his availability for Sunday's game against Washington should be in question and the subsequent days will be key to determining whether he can play or not.

Sieg signed a three-year contract extension with the Raiders on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Sieg initially joined the Raiders back in 2018, and he's since been a standout at long snapper in 47 consecutive games. The team will keep the key special-teamer in house through 2023.
