Will Dissly Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Chargers vs Chiefs game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 9, 2025
Healthy scratch Week 10
Dissly (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will be sidelined for a third consecutive game, with two of his absences as a result of a healthy scratch. The Chargers will go with three active tight ends for Sunday night's game in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin.
Nov 6, 2025
Avoids injury report
Dissly (illness) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was a healthy scratch for Week 8 and then sat out Week 9 due to an illness, but he's now fully recovered. There's no guarantee that Dissly will be active for Sunday's game against the Steelers, however, even at full health. Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin have operated as Los Angeles' top reserve tight ends following the emergence of Oronde Gadsden.
Nov 2, 2025
Won't play against Tennessee
Dissly (illness) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly ended Week 9 prep with back-to-back limited practices while working through an illness. He has not been cleared to play Sunday, so the Chargers will have three tight ends on the active roster in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin. Dissly's next opportunity to play is Week 10 against the Steelers on Sunday, Nov. 9.
Oct 31, 2025
Questionable for Week 9
Dissly (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
With Oronde Gadsden taking over tight-end duties for the Chargers in recent weeks, Dissly has fallen out of favor in Los Angeles, as he was a healthy inactive in Week 8 against the Vikings.
Oct 30, 2025
Returns to practice Thursday
Dissly (illness) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran tight end was cleared to return to practice in a limited capacity after missing Wednesday's session due to an illness. Dissly is trending toward being available for Sunday's game against the Titans, though he was a healthy scratch for Week 8 as the Chargers went with three active tight ends in Oronde Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin.
Oct 29, 2025
Under the weather
Dissly did not practice Wednesday due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will have two more opportunities to recover enough to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. He was a healthy scratch for Week 8 against the Vikings, so there's no guarantee that he would be active for Week 9 even if he recovered enough to avoid an injury designation. Dissly appears to have been phased out of the Chargers' offensive gameplan due to the emergence of rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden while Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin provide depth at tight end.
Oct 23, 2025
Healthy scratch Week 8
Dissly (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played just three offensive snaps during the Chargers' Week 7 loss to the Vikings. His role in the offense has waned with the emergence of rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden, and Dissly will observe Thursday's game in street clothes. With Dissly inactive, the Chargers will roll with three tight ends on the active roster in Gadsden, Tucker Fisk and Tyler Conklin for Week 8.
Oct 22, 2025
Held catchless against Colts
Dissly failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was unable to make an impact in Sunday's high scoring affair against the Colts, as the veteran tight end played just three of the Chargers' 76 offensive snaps. The 29-year-old has taken a clear backseat to fellow tight end Oronde Gadsden, who finished the game with seven catches for a team-leading 164 yards and a touchdown. Dissly should be ignored for fantasy purposes based on his limited usage in the Chargers' passing attack. Next up for Los Angeles is a Week 8 matchup against the Vikings.
Oct 14, 2025
Two catches in return
Dissly finished Sunday's 29-27 win over the Dolphins with two catches on as many targets for 18 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was cleared to return Sunday from a three-game absence due to a knee injury. He ended up playing 26 snaps on offense, which was behind rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gadsden (48) and Tucker Fisk (27), but ahead of veteran Tyler Conklin (three). Given the disparity in snap count between Dissly and Gadsden, it appears that the latter has seemingly taken over as the Chargers' No. 1 option at tight end. Up next for Dissly and the Chargers is a Week 7 home clash against a Colts team whose defense yielded eight catches for 72 yards and a touchdown to tight end Trey McBride in a Week 6 win over the Cardinals.
Oct 8, 2025
Cleared from injury report
Dissly (knee) isn't listed on the Chargers' Week 6 injury report.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is thus set to return for Sunday's game at Miami, after missing each of the past three contests. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden took advantage initially, but he saw just one target in the Week 5 loss to Washington despite handling season-high 61 percent route share. That number likely will drop with Dissly back in the lineup, although it's also possible Dissly mostly takes the snaps that went to Tyler Conkin and Tucker Fisk in recent weeks. Either way, it'll be some form of rotation, with long odds for any one TE to draw more than a handful of targets.
Oct 5, 2025
Remains sidelined Sunday
Dissly (knee) is inactive for Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Dissly went into the weekend with a questionable tag after partaking in every practice of Week 5 prep, including as a full participant Friday. Nevertheless, the veteran will miss a third consecutive game, leaving rookie Oronde Gadsden and veteran Tyler Conklin as Justin Herbert's two top options at tight end against Washington.
Oct 3, 2025
Draws questionable tag for Week 5
Dissly (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will carry a designation into the weekend after he was a limited participant in practices Wednesday through Friday while managing the knee issue. Before missing the Chargers' last two games, Dissly had served as the team's top tight end through the first two weeks of the season, but he drew just two targets between those contests.
Oct 1, 2025
Returns to limited practice
Dissly (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly, who has missed the Chargers' last two games and had sat out all six of the team's practices since the start of Week 3 prep, is thus moving in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders. The tight end will presumably need to practice fully by Friday, however, in order to avoid a Week 5 injury designation.
Sep 26, 2025
Ruled out for Week 4
Dissly (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Dissly hasn't been able to practice since the start of Week 3 prep due to a knee injury and now will miss a second consecutive contest as a result. His absence will allow the trio of Oronde Gadsden, Tyler Conklin and Tucker Fisk to handle TE duties for the Chargers this weekend, but Gadsden, a rookie fifth-round pick, is the one to note for fantasy purposes after hauling in five of seven targets for 46 yards during a Week 3 win against the Broncos.
Sep 25, 2025
Another DNP on Thursday
Dissly (knee) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
After missing Week 3, Dissly appears to be trending toward another missed contest this Sunday against the Giants. With Dissly out last week, the Chargers used Tucker Fisk in a blocking role at tight end, and rookie Oronde Gadsden and Tyler Conklin shared pass-catching duties in a three-man weave at the position. Gadsden popped up for a 5-46-0 receiving line on seven targets but played just over 25 percent of the snaps.
Sep 24, 2025
Not spotted at practice
Dissly (knee) is not present at the early portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly couldn't gain clearance to suit up Week 3, and he hasn't practiced in any capacity since emerging from the Chargers' win over the Raiders on Monday night in Week 2 with a knee injury. While Dissly was sidelined Week 3, rookie fifth-round pick Oronde Gadsden made his debut and impressed with five catches for 46 yards on seven targets. If Dissly is again unable to suit up Sunday versus the Giants, Gadsden will continue to benefit from increased opportunities.
Sep 19, 2025
Won't play in Week 3
Dissly (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Broncos, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
In the wake of Monday's 20-9 win at Las Vegas, Dissly wasn't able to practice in any capacity this week due to a knee injury. Now that his status is confirmed for Week 3, Los Angeles likely will lean on Tyler Conklin at tight end, with rookie fifth-round pick Oronde Gadsden and Tucker Fisk both candidates to make their seasson debuts Sunday.
Sep 18, 2025
Sits out practice again
Dissly (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has now missed back-to-back practices due to a knee injury and appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. If Dissly isn't able to suit up Week 3, Tyler Conklin will be positioned to handle a larger workload at tight end.
Sep 17, 2025
Misses practice with knee injury
Dissly (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
He played 40 percent of snaps on offense in Monday's 20-9 win over the Raiders ,catching his lone target for a gain of seven yards. Tyler Conklin would be in line for more snaps and routes if Dissly were to miss Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.
Sep 16, 2025
Secures lone target in win
Dissly caught his only target for seven yards in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.
ANALYSIS
For a second consecutive week, Dissly played fewer snaps (23) than Tyler Conklin (29), but neither tight end was asked to do much more than block with the game relatively in hand throughout. So long as the trio of Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen continue to remain healthy, the Chargers simply don't need to do anything more than check down to either tight end.
Sep 6, 2025
Outproduced by Conklin
Dissly secured his only target for 18 yards during Los Angeles' 27-21 win over the Chiefs on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played more offensive snaps (37) than Conklin (28), but he was outproduced in the receiving game. Dissly's lone target, which he turned into an 18-yard reception, came in the fourth quarter, while Conklin managed 50 yards on two targets, both of which he secured. Dissly and Conklin will again split reps at tight end in Week 2 on the road against Las Vegas on Monday night, but the Chargers' passing attack appears intent on funneling through starting wideouts Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston.
Jul 31, 2025
Finds end zone in preseason opener
Dissly brought in both targets for 14 yards and a touchdown during the Chargers' 34-7 preseason win over the Lions in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game.
ANALYSIS
The veteran tight end capped off the Chargers' first drive with a nifty five-yard touchdown grab on a perfect touch pass from Trey Lance. Dissly broke out in 2024 with a career-best 50-481-2 receiving line over 15 regular-season games, and he's slated to open the campaign with at least a share of the top tight end job again despite the additions of Tyler Conklin and Oronde Gadsden via free agency and the draft, respectively.
Feb 17, 2025
Enjoys career year with Chargers
Dissly secured 50 of 64 targets for a career-high 481 yards and two touchdowns across 15 regular-season appearances with Los Angeles in 2024. He caught two of five targets for 16 yards during the team's wild-card round loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Dissly emerged as a consistent target for quarterback Justin Herbert in his inaugural season with the Chargers, setting new career-high marks across the board as a receiver. That said, the veteran tight end remained a fringe fantasy option in formats that start just one tight end, as he exceeded 50 yards in a game just twice during the 2024 season. Dissly remains under contract with Los Angeles for the next two years, though the team will have a potential 'out' to evaluate after the 2025 campaign.
Jan 7, 2025
Scores touchdown in Week 18
Dissly took the field for 43 of the Chargers' 75 snaps on offense and recorded five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Sunday's 34-20 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Dissly found the end zone for the second time during the regular season and finished with 50 catches for 481 yards on 64 targets -- all career highs -- over his 15 games with the Chargers. He was one of four tight ends the Chargers kept active in Week 18, but Dissly's 57 percent snap share handily outpaced Tucker Fisk (35 percent), Stone Smartt (19 percent) and Hayden Hurst (eight percent). Expect Dissly to remain the Chargers' clear top tight end as the team kicks off postseason play Saturday in Houston.
Dec 28, 2024
Logs two receptions
Dissly (shoulder) caught two passes for 21 yards on three targets against New England on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
It's possible that Dissly was playing injured and was less than his 100 percent self, as fellow tight end Stone Smartt (two catches for 23 yards on two targets) had not previously matched Dissly's catch count in any game where the two of them were both active for the whole game. Dissly was originally signed by the Chargers to be a blocking specialist -- Dissly's productive season as a pass catcher was out of necessity due to a lack of alternatives -- but the more Smartt emerges, the more the Chargers might reduce Dissly's pass-catching volume in favor of more of the blocking tasks the Chargers originally had in mind for Dissly.
Dec 28, 2024
Active versus New England
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as active for Saturday's game against the Patriots, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly, who has missed the Chargers' last two contests, was listed as limited on Tuesday and Wednesday's practice reports before upgrading to full participation Thursday and then being deemed questionable for Saturday's contest. In his return to action, Dissly will have an opportunity to reclaim his lead role in a Los Angeles tight end corps that also includes Stone Smartt and Tucker Fisk. In 13 games thus far, Dissly has logged a 43/418/1 receiving line on 55 targets, a pace that makes him a fantasy lineup consideration in deeper formats.
Dec 26, 2024
Deemed questionable for Saturday
The Chargers list Dissly as questionable for Saturday's game against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has missed the Chargers' last two contests, but he looks like he'll have a chance to play Saturday after he was able to resume practicing in a limited fashion this week. Official word on Dissly's status will arrive when Los Angeles posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Saturday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. In addition to Dissly, Hayden Hurst (illness) is also listed as questionable, so Stone Smartt and Tucker Fisk could be in store for elevated snaps at tight end if neither Dissly nor Hurst is able to play.
Dec 25, 2024
Stays limited in practice
The Chargers listed Dissly (shoulder) as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
ANALYSIS
After missing the Chargers' last two games with the shoulder injury, Dissly has now gone down as a limited participant on both of the team's first two Week 17 injury reports. He may need to put in a full session Thursday in order to approach Saturday's game at New England without an injury designation.
Dec 24, 2024
Reps capped Tuesday
Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has missed the Chargers' last two games with the shoulder injury, but after not practicing in any fashion in Week 16, he seems to have made some progress to kick off Week 17 prep. The tight end will look to upgrade to full participation in practice by Thursday to clear the way for him to suit up Saturday at New England.
Dec 18, 2024
Won't play Week 16
Dissly (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will miss a second consecutive game due to this injury. Hayden Hurst (hip) is questionable and has a chance to return from IR, while Stone Smartt could be in line to maintain an elevated role in Dissly's absence. Dissly's next chance to take the field will be Dec. 28 against the Patriots.
Dec 17, 2024
Sits out practice Tuesday
Dissly (shoulder) did not participate in practice Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was also tagged as DNP on Monday, though that was a walkthrough session. The tight end hurt his shoulder Week 14 against Kansas City and missed this past Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers. If he's out again Thursday, which is a likely scenario, Stone Smartt would likely be in line for another start, though Los Angeles could also be getting back Hayden Hurt (hip) this week. Hurst remains on IR, but he was designated to return Monday and logged a full practice Tuesday.
Dec 16, 2024
Estimated as DNP on Monday
Dissly (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was injured in Week 14 against the Chiefs and missed this past Sunday's loss to the Bucs. He's viewed as "week-to-week," and now the Chargers have a short week ahead of a Thursday night game against the division-rival Broncos. With Dissly out versus Tampa Bay, Stone Smartt played 67 percent of the offensive snaps and posted a useful 5-50-0 receiving line on six targets, though he also lost a fumble.
Dec 13, 2024
Out for Week 15
Dissly (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bucs.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was injured last week against the Chiefs, but coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday that he doesn't envision Dissly needing to go to injured reserve, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. With Dissly sidelined, Stone Smartt is expected to handle TE1 duties for the Chargers. Following Disney's injury versus Kansas City, Smartt was more involved in the pass game and finished with three catches for 54 yards on three targets.
Dec 9, 2024
Likely out multiple weeks
Dissly is expected to miss "a couple of weeks" due to the shoulder injury he suffered Sunday against Kansas City, but he's not likely to be placed on injured reserve, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was hurt on the final play -- a 15-yard catch -- of the first half against the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, and he was unable to return to the contest. Subsequent evaluation has revealed an injury that is likely to sideline the tight end multiple weeks, but given Schultz's report that Dissly isn't expected to land on IR, there's a good chance he'll be able to return to action before the end of the regular season. While Dissly is out of action, Stone Smartt is in line to move into a starting role, while Tucker Fisk should see increased work as well.
Dec 8, 2024
Injured on final play of first half
Dissly (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Dissly got hurt on a 15-yard catch on the final play of the first half and didn't rejoin his teammates on the field to begin the second half. He caught both of his targets for 19 yards prior to the injury. More opportunities will be available for Tucker Fisk and Stone Smartt if Dissly's unable to return.
Dec 3, 2024
Doesn't show up in box score
Dissly did not catch his lone target in the 17-13 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Chargers were content letting the Falcons beat themselves benefitting significantly from Kirk Cousins' four interceptions. As a result, the offense overall was sluggish and ineffective. Quarterback Justin Herbert converted nine of his 16 pass completions to rookie Ladd McConkey, but the passing attack was otherwise a non factor. It's possible that the absence of J.K. Dobbins (knee) could have a dramatic difference on the rushing attack and therefore any threat of the play action, but it's hard to have any concrete takeaways when Los Angeles wasn't forced to take much action.
Nov 29, 2024
Cleared to play
Dissly (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was a full practice participant Friday, upgrading from limited participation Thursday and an absence Wednesday. He's caught four or more passes in six of the past seven games, averaging 4.6 receptions for 44.9 yards on 6.0 targets since taking over as the Chargers' primary pass-catching TE. Dissly already has career-high totals for catches (41) and receiving yards (390) but has scored just one touchdown in 11 games.
Nov 28, 2024
Logs limited listing Thursday
Dissly (groin) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After being deemed a non-participant Wednesday, Dissly's limited listing one day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. Friday's injury report will reveal whether the tight end is able to work fully to close the week, and in turn if he heads into the weekend with a Week 13 injury designation.
Nov 28, 2024
Returns to practice Thursday
Dissly (groin) was spotted at practice Thursday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not yet clear whether Dissly was limited or if he practiced in full, but either way his participation is a step up after he was deemed a non-participant Wednesday. The Chargers' top tight end's practice level Friday should determine whether he'll enter the weekend with an injury designation. Tucker Fisk and Stone Smartt are the other tight ends currently on Los Angeles' 53-man roster.
Nov 27, 2024
Misses practice Wednesday
Dissly (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
It's a new injury for the lumbering tight end after he caught all four of his targets for 47 yards in this past Monday night's loss to the Ravens. With Hayden Hurst (hip) on injured reserve and Dissly potentially banged up, the Chargers' healthy tight ends are Stone Smartt and Tucker Fisk.
Nov 26, 2024
Corrals four targets in loss
Dissly caught all four of his targets for 47 yards in Monday's 30-23 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Dissly settled back into his usual receiving role after popping off for 80 yards and a touchdown in his last outing. The veteran tight end still produced well enough for those in deeper leagues Monday. Dissly should remain an option in deeper formats when the Chargers visit the Falcons on Sunday.
Nov 18, 2024
Scores touchdown in win
Dissly caught four of his six targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in the 27-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
It's officially time to take notice. Sunday marked the fifth time in the past six weeks Dissly has tallied six or more targets, and during that stretch he's led the team in targets on three separate occasions. The extra attention hasn't helped the seventh-year veteran tally a ton of additional production, but by pushing out Hayden Hurst as the team's pass-catching tight end, Dissly is playing enough consistently to warrant fantasy attention. A month-long stretch against porous defenses versus the pass, starting first with the Ravens in Week 12, also adds value to his burgeoning fantasy profile.
Nov 12, 2024
Leads team in targets, receptions
Dissly caught five of his six targets for 30 yards in the 27-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led the team in targets and receptions, but he was effectively just a checkdown option in a game in which the Chargers attempted just 18 passes total. The seventh-year veteran does seem to have pushed Hayden Hurst out of the pass-catching tight end platoon role, as Hurst played just eight snaps for a second consecutive week. The lack of volume in the Los Angeles pass attacking will limit Dissly's fantasy production most weeks.
Nov 6, 2024
Targeted three times in win
Dissly caught two of his three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led all Chargers tight ends in offensive snaps Sunday, playing 39 of 57 offensive snaps in the contest. Fellow tight ends Eric Tomlinson and Hayden Hurst played 16 and eight snaps, respectively. Dissly's nine yards accounted for his lowest mark of the season, as the veteran has been mostly underwhelming through eight games. Based on his inconsistent and modest production, Dissly is best ignored for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Titans.
Nov 1, 2024
Good to go against Browns
Dissly (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Browns after practicing without limitations Friday.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- so Dissly could lose some volume in Week 9 after racking up 18 targets in Weeks 7 and 8. In that context, he profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy option, especially with wideouts Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston (who had missed back-to-back contests) and Joshua Palmer slated to play Sunday.
Oct 31, 2024
Back at practice
Dissly (shoulder) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing practice Wednesday, Dissly is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns. The same goes for fellow tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- but practiced fully Thursday. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Dissly carries an injury designation into the weekend, but the looming return of Hurst could cost Dissly (who has logged 18 targets over his last two games) some volume in Week 9.
Oct 30, 2024
Doesn't practice Wednesday
Dissly (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly missed practice last Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited session Friday and approaching Week 8 action listed as questionable. The tight end was eventually able to suit up for this past Sunday's 26-8 win over the Saints, en route to catching five of his seven targets for 41 yards. With no reported setbacks with his shoulder, it's quite possible Dissly's Wednesday 'DNP' was maintenance-related. Meanwhile, fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) -- who has missed two straight games -- was limited in the Chargers' first practice ahead of this weekend's game against the Browns.
Oct 27, 2024
Seven targets in Week 8
Dissly (shoulder) caught five of seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Dissly tied J.K. Dobbins for the team lead in targets, and the tight end has racked up 18 targets in the Chargers' last two games. The heavy usage is encouraging, but Dissly has yet to score a touchdown this season. He'll look to stay busy in Week 9 against the Browns.
Oct 27, 2024
Active versus New Orleans
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game versus the Saints.
ANALYSIS
After returning to a limited practice Friday, Dissly approached the contest listed as questionable. With his Sunday availability confirmed and fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) inactive, Dissly -- who caught eight of his 11 targets for 81 yards in the Chargers' 17-15 loss to the Cardinals this past Monday -- offers a lineup option for those in need of tight end help in Week 8.
Oct 25, 2024
Questionable for Sunday
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's 4:05 ET game against the Saints after returning to a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) is also listed as questionable after logging limited sessions Thursday and Friday. In the Chargers' 17-15 loss to the Cardinals on Monday -- a game that Hurst missed -- Dissly caught eight of his 11 targets for 81 yards. On the heels of that effort, Dissly could merit deep league attention if he plays this weekend, but if Hurst is also available, neither player would be a high-percentage Week 8 lineup option.
Oct 24, 2024
Misses second straight practice
Dissly (shoulder) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly appeared on the Chargers' Week 7 injury report due to the same shoulder issue, but after logging a limited practice Thursday he put in full practices Friday and Saturday to clear the way for him to suit up Monday against the Cardinals. He proceeded to turn in a season-best line (eight catches for 81 yards on 11 targets) in the 17-15 win, but his shoulder injury may have worsened at some point along the way. Dissly has now been a spectator for both of the Chargers' first Week 8 practices, so he may need to participate in some capacity Friday to have a chance at playing Sunday versus the Saints.
Oct 23, 2024
Opens week as DNP
Dissly (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday's practice session, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is coming off a breakout performance against the Cardinals on Monday, during which he caught a career-high eight passes (on 11 targets) for 81 yards. He was Justin Herbert's favorite target in the absence of Quentin Johnston (ankle) and Hayden Hurst (groin), but Dissly is still working through a shoulder injury that limited him in practice leading up to Monday's contest. Dissly will have two more chances to return to practice ahead of the Chargers' Week 8 clash against the Saints on Sunday. The 2018 fourth-round pick is up to 21 catches (on 26 targets) for 192 yards through the first six regular-season games of the year, which eclipses his production across 16 regular-season outings with the Seahawks in 2023.
Oct 22, 2024
Breakout performance in loss
Dissly secured eight of 11 targets for 81 yards in the Chargers' 17-15 loss to the Cardinals on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led the Chargers in receptions, receiving yards and targets in what may have been his best all-around career performance. Dissly had memorably recorded a 3-105-1 in his NFL debut back in Week 1 of the 2018 season with the Seahawks, but the veteran was much more productive with respect to catches Monday night and was a key target for Justin Herbert throughout the night. Dissly had topped out at four catches and 29 yards in terms of single-game highs this season, however, and Monday night's volume was aided by the absence of Quentin Johnston (ankle), and to a lesser extent, Hayden Hurst (groin). Dissly's first opportunity to build on Monday night's breakout in a Week 8 home matchup against the Saints.
Oct 18, 2024
Logs full practice Friday
Dissly (shoulder) practiced fully Friday.
ANALYSIS
After being listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate, Dissly worked fully a day later, which sets the stage for him to suit up Monday night against the Cardinals. With fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) logging another 'DNP' listing Friday, Dissly -- who has recorded a 13/111/0 receiving line on 15 targets in five contests -- could be in line to see a modest uptick in Week 7 opportunities if Hurst ends up unavailable versus Arizona.
Oct 17, 2024
Logs limited practice
Dissly (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly now has two more chances to upgrade his practice participation ahead of Monday night's contest against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, fellow TE Hayden Hurst (groin) didn't practice Thursday, and if he's unavailable versus Arizona, Dissly (assuming he plays) would be in line to see added Week 7 opportunities.
Oct 15, 2024
Snares four receptions
Dissly caught four of his five targets for 26 yards in the 23-17 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Tight end platoon mate Hayden Hurst left the game in the first half due to a groin injury, opening up Dissly to tally season highs in route share and targets. Eric Tomlinson and Stone Smartt also played in the absence of Hurst, so it's not as if Dissly will get complete command of the tight end room if Hurst does miss time, but Los Angeles' limited passing tree could involve the Seattle transplant a bit more in the event Hurst misses more time.
Sep 30, 2024
Secures two catches in loss
Dissly caught two of his three targets for 24 yards in the 17-10 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hayden Hurst saw the better side of the tight end platoon this week as the veteran pass catcher tallied 35 snaps compared to Dissly's 20, but it was the latter who actually had the better fantasy day, although by a marginal amount. Neither tight end is in a viable fantasy situation with Los Angeles' preference to run the ball and sit on the clock becoming a theme of the 2024 campaign.
Sep 25, 2024
Targeted three times in loss
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 23 of the Chargers' offensive snaps Sunday while fellow tight end Hayden Hurst was on the field for 28 snaps. Neither tight end was able to get much going as the offense struggled against the Steelers defense. Going forward, Dissly's lack of consistent usage make him extremely difficult to trust for fantasy purposes. The Chargers are set to host the Chiefs in Week 4.
Sep 18, 2024
Three grabs against Panthers
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led all Chargers tight ends in catches Sunday while playing three fewer offensive snaps than teammate Hayden Hurst. The veteran did not produce much with his opportunities, and he'll likely continue to struggle to produce for fantasy purposes on a run-first team with deploying several tight ends. Dissly and the Chargers are set to square off against the Steelers in Week 3.
Sep 11, 2024
One catch in win
Dissly caught his lone target for 13 yards in Sunday's 22-10 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Dissly operated as the Chargers' second tight end in the contest, playing 25 of 57 offensive snaps Sunday. Teammate Hayden Hurst, however, was more involved in the game plan, as he played 35 snaps and saw three targets from quarterback Justin Herbert. If this type of usage were to continue, it would be difficult to trust Dissly to produce consistently for fantasy purposes. The veteran will have his next opportunity to be more involved in a Week 2 matchup against the Panthers.
Mar 11, 2024
Set to sign with Bolts
Dissly is slated to sign a three-year deal with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Pelissero relays that Dissly's pending deal is for $14 million, including $10 million guaranteed. With Gerald Everett slated to become a free agent, Dissly will bolster the Chargers' tight end corps in 2024, while providing the team with a reliable run-blocking option at the position. During the 2023 regular season, the 27-year-old recorded 17 catches on 22 targets for 172 yards and a touchdown over 16 games with the Seahawks, who he joined as a fourth-round draft pick in 2018.
Mar 5, 2024
Set to be let go
The Seahawks are slated to release Dissly, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Per the report, the move will free up $6.97 million in salary cap space for Seattle. Dissly, who is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he recorded 17 catches (on 22 targets) for 172 yards and a touchdown in 16 games, will now have an opportunity to catch on elsewhere as a depth tight end.
Jan 9, 2024
Finishes with 17 catches
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-20 win over the Cardinals. He finished the season with 17 receptions (22 targets) for 172 yards and a touchdown through 16 games in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Dissly had the worst statistical season of his career, as he failed to find the end zone until Week 18 and never caught more than three balls in a game. The Washington product has one year left on his contract with a cap hit of $10.1 million.
Nov 30, 2023
Active Thursday
Dissly (hip) is active for Thursday night's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The tight end missed Monday's practice, returned as a limited participant in Tuesday's session and then participated in full Wednesday. Dissly played 16 offensive snaps and caught one pass for 21 yards in the Seahawks' Week 12 loss to the 49ers. The sixth-year pro has 10 catches for 108 yards and no touchdowns in 2023.
Nov 29, 2023
Status in question
Dissly (hip) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was a full participant during practice Wednesday after he logged a limited session Tuesday, but that wasn't enough to remove the 27-year-old from the team's injury report. If he were to miss, Brady Russell would likely see an uptick in snaps.
Nov 28, 2023
Returns to practice
Dissly (hip) was a limited participant at the Seahawks' practice Tuesday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was unable to practice Monday after suffering a hip injury in the team's loss to the 49ers on Thanksgiving, but his ability to return to field Tuesday is a step in the right direction for his availability to play Thursday versus the Cowboys. The tight end will look to ramp up his workload at Wednesday's final practice session ahead of the team's Week 13 matchup.
Nov 27, 2023
Doesn't practice Monday
Dissly (hip) did not participate in the Seahawks' first practice session of the week Monday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly logged 16 offensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps against the 49ers on Thanksgiving, and he may have hurt his hip in that contest. Seattle plays Dallas on Thursday Night Football this week, so Dissly will probably need to get back on the practice field in the next two days in order to have a chance of suiting up for that clash. Both Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson, who have been sharing tight-end snaps with Dissly this season, would stand to see a bit of an increased workload Thursday if Dissly can't suit up.
Nov 24, 2023
Produces 21 yards
Dissly caught his lone target for 21 yards in Thursday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played just 16 offensive snaps in a game where the Seahawks fell behind early. All of the tight ends in Seattle are struggling in the passing game this season, and Dissly has produced just 10 receptions on 13 targets for 108 yards.
Nov 20, 2023
Snags one pass
Dissly caught one of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 25 offensive snaps (40 percent), finishing slightly ahead of Colby Parkinson (21) but significantly behind Noah Fant (40). Dissly has produced nine receptions for 87 yards and no touchdowns this year.
Nov 13, 2023
Two catches in win
Dissly hauled in two passes (two targets) for 22 yards in Sunday's 29-26 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Dissly caught his first pass since Week 6, as the sixth-year tight end now has just eight receptions for 78 yards and no touchdowns through eight games. The Seahawks depend on his blocking ability in the run game, so his playing time should remain stable. Fantasy managers shouldn't depend on him, though.
Nov 6, 2023
Minimal usage in loss
Dissly didn't catch his lone target in Sunday's 37-3 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Known for his blocking abilities, Dissly took a backseat in this lopsided game and logged a season-low 11 offensive snaps. He has gone catchless in four of the last five games.
Oct 30, 2023
Targetless again
Dissly wasn't targeted in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 22 offensive snaps, trailing Noah Fant (33) but staying ahead of Colby Parkinson (18). The 2018 fourth-round pick caught five passes through the first two games but has just one target since then.
Oct 23, 2023
No targets Sunday
Dissly wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Dissly, Colby Parkinson and Noah Fant handled similar workloads in Sunday's divisional win, but Dissly was the only one that failed to receive a target. Through five games, Dissly has caught all six of his targets for 56 yards and no touchdowns.
Oct 18, 2023
Remains part of tight end timeshare
Dissly hauled in his lone target for a four-yard reception in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks continue to run a three-man timeshare at tight end that limits the fantasy ceiling of Dissly as well as Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson. The playing time among the trio broke down about as evenly as possible Sunday, with Parkinson leading the group with 33 snaps on offense while Dissly (32) and Fant (31) were narrowly behind.
Oct 3, 2023
No targets in Big Apple
Dissly wasn't targeted in Monday's 24-3 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Dissly returned to action after missing Week 3 with a shoulder injury. The 27-year-old tight end played 51 percent of the offensive snaps but failed to draw a target. He'll always be in the mix because of his blocking acumen, but fantasy managers should steer clear.
Oct 2, 2023
Active in Week 4
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as active Monday against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Week 3 due to a shoulder injury, Dissly was able to managed back-to-back limited sessions to begin Week 4 prep before practicing in full Saturday. Still, he was listed as questionable for Monday's game along with Noah Fant (knee). Both players have been deemed available, and Dissly now will look to build upon his 5-52-0 receiving line on five targets through two appearances this season.
Sep 30, 2023
Possible for Monday
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Giants, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly didn't manage to practice last week, but the tight end has at least practiced in limited fashion throughout the entirety of this week. That's important given nominal starter Noah Fant cropped up on the injury report Saturday with a knee injury. The six-year veteran has been a comfortable target for quarterback Geno Smith to the tune of five receptions for 52 yards in two games.
Sep 29, 2023
Reps capped in practice
Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
After having his reps capped for both of the Seahawks' Week 4 practices, Dissly may need to upgrade to full activity Saturday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Monday's game against the Giants. While Dissly was sidelined for the Seahawks' Week 3 win over the Panthers, top tight end Noah Fant benefited from an expanded snap share (65 percent) and finished with four receptions for 41 yards on five targets.
Sep 28, 2023
Participates in practice
Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The tight end practiced after coach Pete Carroll said earlier in the day that he would be out. Dissly missed the previous three sessions with a shoulder injury lingering from Seattle's Week 2 win over Detroit. The starter may now have a chance to return for Monday night's game against the Giants.
Sep 28, 2023
Missing Thursday's practice
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Dissly (shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will miss a fourth consecutive practice while he continues to tend to a shoulder injury that he picked up Week 2 in Detroit. Though he'll have the benefit of a longer turnaround between games with the Seahawks playing the Giants on Monday, Dissly will likely need to practice in some capacity Friday or Saturday to have any chance at avoiding the inactive list for a second straight contest.
Sep 24, 2023
Taking seat Sunday
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Given he didn't practice all week and was considered doubtful to suit up Sunday, Dissly predictably will be in street clothes Week 3. With Dissly sidelined, Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson will split most of the TE reps for the Seahawks, while undrafted rookie Brady Russell also will be available. Dissly's next chance to play will arrive Monday, Oct. 2 at the Giants.
Sep 22, 2023
Doubtful for Week 3
Dissly (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly's likely to endure his first absence of the season in Week 3 after catching all five of his targets for 52 yards across Seattle's first two games. Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson should see the majority of snaps at tight end against the Panthers, though Brady Russell could also mix in if Dissly sits.
Sep 21, 2023
Misses practice Thursday
Dissly (shoulder) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
That's back-to-back DNPs for the lumbering tight end. If Dissly needs to miss Week 3 against Carolina, Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson will split tight end duties. Dissly has reeled in all five of his targets for 52 scoreless yards through two games.
Sep 20, 2023
Tending to shoulder injury
Dissly (shoulder) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has been a regular part of Seattle's passing game this season, gathering in all five targets for 52 yards through two games while earning snap shares of 30 percent Week 1 and 55 percent Week 2. Now with a shoulder injury in tow, his status will be one to monitor as the week goes to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game versus the Panthers. Fellow tight end Noah Fant (ribs) also showed up on Wednesday's injury report, but he was listed as a full participant.
Sep 11, 2023
Two catches in divisional loss
Dissly caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played just 14 offensive snaps, which was fewer than both Noah Fant (25) and Colby Parkinson (21). If the Seahawks can establish the run game, Dissly will handle more offensive reps because of his blocking abilities. However, he won't provide much fantasy value unless he finds the end zone.
Aug 21, 2023
One reception versus Cowboys
Dissly caught his lone target for eight yards in Saturday's 22-14 preseason win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Dissly endured another offseason of rehab, as he suffered a knee injury late in the 2022 season, although he fortunately avoided surgery this time around. This was his first catch of the preseason. He's not expected to be a consistent fantasy contributor this season, as he typically blocks more than fellow tight ends Noah Fant and Colby Parkinson.
Jun 9, 2023
Participating during minicamp
Dissly (knee) has been participating in the Seahawks' mandatory minicamp this week, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly ended the 2022 campaign on injured reserve with a knee injury, but he avoided surgery and appears to have moved past the issue this offseason. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said at the NFL scouting combine that Dissly would be ready for training camp, so the tight end is a bit ahead of schedule and should be full go for Week 1. The 2018 fourth-round pick signed a three-year, $24 million extension with Seattle last offseason and caught at least one pass in each of his 15 appearances last year, totaling 34 receptions on 38 targets for 349 yards and three scores.
Mar 2, 2023
On track for training camp
Dissly (knee) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, Liz Mathews of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Pete Carroll said at this week's NFL Scouting Combine that Dissly "damaged a bone on the outside of his knee" but won't need surgery for the issue, and that the tight end should be good to go for training camp. Carroll said that Dissly is "doing really well and making progress," which is positive news considering the unusual nature of his injury. Barring any setbacks, Dissly appears on track for the start of the 2023 campaign.
Feb 28, 2023
Won't need surgery
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Dissly (knee) won't need surgery and should be ready for the start of 2023, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly caught 34 passes for 349 yards and three scores across 15 regular-season games before ending the 2022 campaign on IR due to a knee contusion. He opted to avoid surgery initially, and it appears the issue is healing well on its own. While Carroll saying the tight end will be ready for the 2023 campaign is certainly encouraging, it's still possible Dissly is sidelined or limited throughout offseason work.
Jan 16, 2023
Avoiding surgery for now
Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Dissly will wait a few months to see if his knee injury will heal without surgery, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is avoiding surgery for now, but it sounds like it may still be in the cards if the tight end's knee doesn't progress well enough over the next few months. The fifth-year tight end caught 34 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns across 15 regular-season games, but he ended the campaign on injured reserve with what was initially described as a knee contusion. If Dissly ultimately has to undergo offseason surgery, it may impact his availability for the start of the 2023 campaign, but there likely won't be another update on his status for awhile.
Dec 30, 2022
May require surgery
The Seahawks are still determining whether Dissly will require surgery to repair his knee injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The exact nature of Dissly's injury is unclear, as it was termed a contusion by Pete Carroll. However, Dissly was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, and the possibility of surgery suggests that the issue could be more severe. He served among a rotation of options at tight end with Seattle this season, and he managed 34 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns across 15 games.
Dec 27, 2022
Hits IR with knee contusion
Seattle placed Dissly on injured reserve Tuesday with an injury head coach Pete Carroll has labeled as a knee contusion, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Dissly's injury doesn't sound especially serious, his 2022 campaign will come to an end unless the Seahawks secure a playoff spot and make an improbable run to the NFC Championship Game. The 26-year-old appeared in 15 games this season, recording 34 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns on 38 targets. Dissly's absence for the final two games should free up more snaps for Colby Parkinson, who steps in as Seattle's No. 2 tight end behind Noah Fant.
Dec 26, 2022
Getting knee checked out
Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Dissly banged his knee during Saturday's 24-10 loss to the Chiefs and is set to undergo further testing, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The knee issue may in part explain why Dissly logged just 38 percent of the snaps on offense -- his lowest share of the season -- in Week 16 to finish the day with a 19-yard reception on his lone target. Dissly's upcoming tests should provide a clearer picture of his injury while also helping to clarify whether he'll be available for the Seahawks' Week 17 matchup with the Jets.
Dec 12, 2022
Two catches in loss
Dissly caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was limited during the practice week due to a calf injury, and he appeared to be held back during Sunday's game, as he handled a season-low 40 percent snap share. That wasn't the cause of this lackluster performance, however, as he has recorded more than 30 receiving yards in a game just once since Week 4.
Dec 11, 2022
Suiting up in Week 14
Dissly (calf) is active for Sunday's contest against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly's practice reps were managed during Week 14 prep due to a calf injury, as he followed an absence Wednesday with back-to-back limited showings to wrap it up before the Seahawks gave him a questionable designation. Coach Pete Carroll noted Friday that Dissly would be ready to play Sunday, according to John Boyle of the team's official site, and that has come to fruition. Dissly will continue to split TE reps with Noah Fant, which has amounted to a 30-297-3 line on 33 targets for the former in 12 games this season.
Dec 9, 2022
On track to play Week 14
Dissly (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, though head coach Pete Carroll said Friday that the tight end is ready to play this weekend, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is taking an injury designation into the weekend after he failed to practice Wednesday before returning to the field as a limited participant Thursday and Friday, but it sounds like the restrictions he faced were mostly for precautionary reasons. Assuming he avoids the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, Dissly should continue to work in a timeshare at tight end with Noah Fant. Though Fant held the edge in playing time in last week's win over the Rams, Dissly was still on the field for 54 percent of the offensive snaps and finished with two catches for 22 yards on two targets.
Dec 9, 2022
Gets Week 14 questionable tag
Dissly (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will carry an injury designation into the weekend after he failed to practice Wednesday before upgrading to a limited showing Thursday. Since he was able to conclude Week 14 prep on the practice field, Dissly would seem to have a good chance at playing this weekend, but an official ruling on his status won't come until Seattle unveils its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Dissly can't go Sunday, Noah Fant would have a clear path to the No. 1 tight end role after splitting reps with Dissly for much of the season.
Dec 8, 2022
Logs limited session Thursday
Dissly (calf) was a limited participant in the Seahawks' practice Thursday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly popped up with a calf issue on Seattle's injury report Wednesday, thus failing to practice for the first time this season. It's encouraging to see the 26-year-old was able to increase his activity the following day. However, his status on Friday's final injury report will provide a better outlook for his availability heading into Sunday against Carolina. Dissly has seen slightly fewer targets (33) than fellow tight end Noah Fant (46) over 12 games this season, and these two should strike a similar balance when both are available moving forward.
Dec 7, 2022
DNP on Wednesday
Dissly (calf) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly hasn't had any practice limitations this season and earns better than 50 percent of the snaps most weeks, resulting in between one and four catches per game through 12 contests. Overall, he has a modest 30-297-3 line on 33 targets. Considering Dissly wasn't able to take part in drills to kick off this week, his status will be watched as the weekend approaches to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.
Dec 5, 2022
Snares two passes
Dissly caught both of his targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dissly and fellow tight end Noah Fant typically handle the same snap count in any given week, but Fant has been more productive as a receiver this year, especially lately. Over the last eight games, Fant has posted a 27-326-1 line on 35 targets while Dissly has registered an 18-181-0 line on 21 targets.
Nov 28, 2022
Held to 17 yards
Dissly caught two of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 40-34 overtime loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Dissly logged 48 of 65 offensive snaps (74 percent) while Noah Fant trailed closely behind with 40 snaps. Fant finished with three catches for 34 yards. Dissly hasn't scored since Week 4, and he has yet to record more than 45 yards in a game this year.
Nov 14, 2022
Brings in two passes
Dissly caught both of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 21-16 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly handled a season-low 21 percent of the offensive snaps, which wasn't far behind Noah Fant (26). The Seahawks frequently utilize two tight-end sets, but they limited their tight-end usage because they were trailing most of the game. Regardless, fantasy managers shouldn't have high expectations for Dissly on a weekly basis, as he has put up a 26-258-3 line through 10 games.
Nov 7, 2022
Rings up 24 yards
Dissly caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Dissly and Noah Fant both played 42 offensive snaps, but Fant capitalized on the opportunity with five catches for a team-high 96 yards. Head coach Pete Carroll continues to roll out offensive personell that features two or three tight ends, so Dissly's playing time is secure all season. However, his fantasy value continues to depend on whether he can find the end zone, as the fifth-year tight end has yet to record more than 45 receiving yards in a game this year.
Oct 31, 2022
Hauls in two passes
Dissly caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants. He also recovered a fumble in punt coverage.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 50 of the team's 64 offensive snaps (78 percent). He finished ahead of Noah Fant (46 snaps) and Colby Parkinson (23). While Dissly isn't a dependable fantasy option, he has caught 21 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns this season, so he can yield DFS dividends when he finds the end zone.
Oct 23, 2022
Four catches against Chargers
Dissly caught all four of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 37-23 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
The tight end didn't post huge numbers, but he tied for second in Seattle in both receptions and receiving yards. Dissly also tied his season highs in catches and targets while setting a new season high in yards, topping his 43 yards from the Seahawks' opener, but that modest production makes him little more than a TD-dependent fantasy option heading into a Week 8 clash with the Giants.
Oct 17, 2022
One catch in win
Dissly caught his lone target for 12 yards in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Dissly narrowly out-snapped Noah Fant in Week 6, but Fant ended up leading the Seahawks with six catches for 45 yards. It has been difficult to trust either tight end this season, as they're both touchdown-dependent fantasy options. Fortunately, Dissly has found the end zone three times through six games.
Oct 10, 2022
Snares two passes
Dissly caught two of three targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 39-32 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has yet to catch more than three passes in a game. He has registered 14 catches for 137 yards and three touchdowns through five games and has been recently been out-snapping fellow tight end Noah Fant. Dissly will be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option as long as his usage maintains.
Oct 2, 2022
Another touchdown in win
Dissly brought in all four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' 48-45 win over the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Dissly got open down the seam for a 17-yard scoring grab in the first quarter to ignite the scoring on what would be a prolific afternoon both teams' offenses. Dissly has shown some chemistry early with Geno Smith, now having recorded at least three catches and a touchdown grab in three of the first four games of the season. The fifth-year veteran could have another solid role in a Week 5 road battle against a Saints team that typically features strong cornerback play, which tends to sometimes funnel action toward tight ends.
Sep 26, 2022
Scores in Week 3
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Dissly scored for the second time in three weeks, and he led all Seahawks tight ends with 43 offensive snaps (61 percent). He has outplayed Noah Fant so far with eight catches for 77 yards and two scores. Dissly is a touchdown-dependent fantasy option.
Sep 19, 2022
Two catches in loss
Dissly caught both of his targets for no gain in Sunday's 27-7 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
After producing 43 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, Dissly regressed and actually handled less playing time than Noah Fant. Dissly played 23 offensive snaps while Fant logged 26 snaps. The two will continue to split snaps going forward, and it will be difficult to rely on either player in fantasy.
Sep 13, 2022
Scores first touchdown of MNF
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
On the first drive of the game, Geno Smith found a wide-open Dissly on third down for a 38-yard score, giving the Seahawks a lead that they never gave up. Dissly ended up tying fellow tight end Colby Parkinson for the team lead in receiving yards, while Noah Fant finished with three catches for 16 yards. It will be hard to trust Dissly in season-long fantasy leagues, but he has touchdown upside in DFS formats.
Aug 19, 2022
Plays eight snaps in preseason loss
Dissly wasn't targeted in Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Dissly didn't play in the preseason opener and handled just eight total snaps in Thursday's loss. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Noah Fant has combined for 36 offensive snaps over the last two weeks. It's difficult to get a read on this situation, but it's likely that Fant is simply getting more reps because he's unfamiliar with the new offense. Both Dissly and Fant should have consistent roles when Week 1 arrives, though the former is still expected to focus on blocking more than pass-catching.
Mar 14, 2022
Signs three-year deal with Seattle
Dissly is signing a three-year contract with the Seahawks, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2018 fourth-round pick will stick with the only team he's ever played for, presumably working as the No. 2 TE in a blocking-focused role. Dissly did show some receiving chops early in his career, but he's never been especially fast and hasn't made as much of an impact in the passing since he suffered major injuries his first two seasons in the NFL. He isn't likely to have much fantasy value behind fellow tight end Noah Fant, who is headed from Denver to Seattle as part of the Russell Wilson trade. Gerald Everett, meanwhile, figures to sign elsewhere.

Sidelined by heel
Dissly (heel) is inactive for Sunday's game against Arizona, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly injured his heel in the team's Week 17 win over the Lions and was unable to practice during the week as a result. His season is now over, and he ends the campaign with 21 receptions for 231 yards and one touchdown across 15 games.
Jan 7, 2022
Questionable for Week 18
Dissly (heel) is questionable for Sunday's game against Arizona, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was a non-participant at practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he'll have a chance to take the field in Week 18. If he's held out against the Cardinals, Colby Parkinson could see an uptick in playing time.
Jan 6, 2022
DNP Thursday
Dissly (heel) was absent from the Seahawks practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The tight end has been absent from both of the Seahawks' first two practices of the week while dealing with a heel injury, putting his ability to play Sunday against the Cardinals in question. If Dissly is unable to play in Week 18, Colby Parkinson would operate as the primary reserve option behind Gerald Everett.
Jan 5, 2022
No practice Wednesday
Dissly (heel) didn't practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly sustained an injury during a Week 17 win versus the Lions, which coach Pete Carroll clarified as a "heel bruise or something" after the 51-29 win, per Boyle. While he logged a DNP on the Seahawks' first practice report of Week 18 prep, Dissly has a pair of chances to fit in some activity ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona.
Jan 2, 2022
Hurts heel in Week 17
Dissly injured his heel in Sunday's 51-29 win over the Lions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
"(Dissly) banged his heel," coach Pete Carroll said. "He's got a heel bruise or something. I'm not sure what it is right now." The backup tight end had one catch for eight yards before getting hurt. Dissly's status for the team's Week 18 trip to Arizona is up in the air.
Dec 28, 2021
Off of COVID-19 list
The Seahawks activated Dissly (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly found himself on the COVID-19 list last Wednesday due to a positive test that forced him to miss this past Sunday's loss to the Bears. Now that he's back on the active roster, he can set his sights on setting new career highs in catches (he needs five more) and receiving yards (he needs 40 more) over the final two contests of the campaign.
Dec 22, 2021
Added to reserve/COVID-19
Dissly was moved to the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Gerald Everett and/or Colby Parkinson should pick up more snaps if Dissly isn't available this Sunday against Chicago. The 265-pound tight end typically plays around half or more of Seattle's offensive snaps, but he hasn't seen more than four targets in a game all year.
Dec 22, 2021
Catches one pass
Dissly caught his lone target for three yards in Tuesday's 20-10 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dissly finished with a 46 percent snap share compared to Gerald Everett's 84 percent share. This has typically been the norm this season, especially when the Seahawks haven't been able to establish the run to the extent they'd prefer. With just 223 receiving yards through 14 games, Dissly shouldn't be on fantasy radars.
Dec 17, 2021
Seahawks-Rams moved to Tuesday
Dissly and the Seahawks will no longer play the Rams on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
ANALYSIS
Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within the Rams organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, Los Angeles will be able to restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. After Tuesday's game, the Seahawks will face a quick turnaround for Week 16 with a Sunday matchup versus the Bears on Dec. 26.
Dec 13, 2021
Season-high 38 yards
Dissly caught two of three targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 33-13 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Dissly recorded a 68 percent snap share, out-snapping Gerald Everett (61 percent) for the first time since Week 6. It's unclear if this will be the standard moving forward, but the Seahawks will likely lean on Everett more in negative game scripts. Dissly maintains limited fantasy appeal with 19 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown through 13 games.
Dec 6, 2021
Snares two passes
Dissly caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 31 snaps (46 percent), marking his fourth straight game with less than a 53 percent snap share. Meanwhile, Gerald Everett has logged a 75 percent snap share or better in each of those games. Dissly is mostly being utilized as a run blocker in offensive coordinator Shane Waldron's offense, evidenced by his 17-182-1 line through 12 games.
Nov 30, 2021
Season-low snap share
Dissly caught both of his targets for 19 yards in Monday's 17-15 loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
Dissly logged 16 of a possible 47 offensive snaps, marking a season-low 36 percent. Meanwhile, Gerald Everett played 37 snaps and caught five passes for 37 yards and a score on a team-high nine targets. Dissly isn't a viable fantasy option as long as Everett is in the fold.
Nov 22, 2021
Snags one pass
Dissly caught one pass (three targets) for 16 yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has recorded 13 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown through 10 games. He finished with 25 of 49 snaps Sunday while Gerald Everett logged 42. That has been the trend for the last few weeks, though neither tight end has shown enough consistency to be a weekly fantasy option.
Nov 15, 2021
Registers 22 yards
Dissly caught both of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 17-0 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly lost six yards on a catch in the first quarter but rumbled for 28 yards on his second catch of the game in the second quarter. The fourth-year tight end hasn't caught more than two passes in a game since Week 1, and he has registered just 12 receptions for 140 yards and a score thus far.
Nov 1, 2021
Second straight targetless outing
Dissly wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-7 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Dissly didn't receive a target for a second straight week. He now has 12 targets through eight games, translating to 10 receptions for 118 yards and a score. Dissly needs to find the end zone to be fantasy relevant, but that will be tough as long as Gerald Everett is healthy.
Oct 26, 2021
No targets Monday
Dissly wasn't targeted in Monday's 13-10 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Dissly scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 6. However, he failed to receive a target for the second time this season in Week 7 despite recording 40 offensive snaps, ahead of Gerald Everett (33). Dissly has now produced 10 receptions (12 targets) for 118 yards and a touchdown through seven contests.
Oct 18, 2021
Snares first TD of 2021
Dissly caught both targets for eight yards and a score in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks shifted to a run-heavy game plan in the second half, so Dissly out-snapped Gerald Everett 47-31. Still, Dissly wasn't utilized much in the passing game. He has received just 12 targets through six games. The Washington product will be a touchdown-dependant fantasy option moving forward.
Oct 8, 2021
Registers 29 yards in loss
Dissly caught two of four targets for 29 yards in Thursday's 26-17 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
With Gerald Everett in COVID-19 protocol, Dissly logged 57 of 65 offensive snaps and finished third on the team in targets. However, he didn't offer fantasy managers much with the opportunity, and his reign as the clear No. 1 tight end likely won't last long, as Everett is expected to return in Week 6 against the Steelers.
Oct 4, 2021
Snags two passes
Dissly caught both targets for five yards in Sunday's 28-21 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Gerald Everett is on the COVID-19 list and missed Sunday's game, so Dissly logged 48 of 56 offensive snaps (82 percent). Even with the increased role, Dissly couldn't conjure up much offense, though it didn't help that Russell Wilson threw just 23 times for 149 yards. If Everett is still out for Thursday's game against the Rams, Dissly will have some DFS appeal but nothing more.
Sep 27, 2021
Brings in one pass
Dissly caught his lone target for 39 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Dissly handled 20 offensive snaps while Gerald Everett recorded 42 snaps. Everett finished with five receptions (five targets) for 54 yards, as he serves in more of a pass-catching role than Dissly, who is the team's best blocking tight end. Dissly only has touchdown-dependent fantasy upside in Week 4 against the 49ers.
Sep 20, 2021
No targets Week 2
Dissly didn't receive a target in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Dissly finished with 26 offensive snaps while Gerald Everett logged 43 snaps. Everett was targeted just twice, as the tight ends had a slow day in Seattle's offense. Both tight ends have tough matchups ahead, as their next two matchups are against the Vikings with LB Eric Kendricks and 49ers with LB Fred Warner.
Sep 12, 2021
Gains 37 yards
Dissly caught all three of his targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, fellow tight end Gerald Everett registered two catches for 20 yards and a score. Dissly is locked into playing time because of his blocking acumen, but he'll be a touchdown-dependant fantasy option this year.
Aug 29, 2021
Targetless in preseason debut
Dissly played 10 snaps in Saturday's 27-0 preseason win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has a locked-in role as the team's best blocking tight end, and the only reason he played Saturday was because the Seahawks only have a few healthy tight ends. Gerald Everett also played and caught his lone target for two yards. New OC Shane Waldron often rolled out two tight-end sets, which is a positive sign for Dissly, though Everett will likely end up catching more passes this year.
Mar 30, 2021
Should compete for top role
Dissly will compete for the No. 1 tight-end job in 2021 following the free-agent arrival of Gerald Everett, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly showed promise in each of his first two NFL campaigns, recording 31 receptions for 413 yards and six touchdowns through 10 games. Both seasons were cut short due to two devastating injuries -- a torn patellar tendon and a torn Achilles. The 24-year-old managed to stay healthy for the entire 2020 season, finishing with a 24-251-2 line. With a healthy offseason ahead of him, the Seahawks are hoping Dissly can return to pre-injury form, but they signed Gerald Everett as insurance. Everett is the favorite for the No. 1 job after receiving $6 million guaranteed on a one-year deal. However, Dissly will garner plenty of playing time because of his blocking abilities, so he should have a chance to claim the top spot in training camp.
Jan 11, 2021
Stays healthy in 2020
Dissly caught 24 passes (29 targets) for 251 yards and two touchdowns over 16 games during the 2020 season.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led the Seahawks' tight end room in receiving yards despite running routes on just 66.9 percent of offensive snaps, fewer than both Jacob Hollister and Greg Olsen. The 2018 fourth-round pick flashed offensive upside in both of his first two seasons, producing a combined 31-418-6 line over 10 games before suffering a torn patellar tendon and a torn Achilles in consecutive seasons. Coming back from both of those injuries was a feat by itself, but there are still questions about whether he can return to the pass-catching player he was beforehand. Dissly will have a chance to answer those questions in the final year of his rookie contract in 2021, but he may have to share reps with Hollister, who will be a free agent in March, once again.
Jan 4, 2021
Finishes season with 24 catches
Dissly was targeted twice and caught a 20-yard pass in Sunday's 26-23 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led Seattle's tight ends in Week 17 with Greg Olsen (foot) inactive after a "flare up." The Washington product out-snapped Jacob Hollister 49-41. Dissly finished the regular season with a 24-251-2 line over 16 games. Perhaps his most impressive accomplishment was staying healthy all year after his first two NFL seasons were cut short due to a patella tear and an Achilles tear, respectively. Dissly and Hollister will continue to split reps in the first playoff round against the Rams even if Olsen returns.
Dec 28, 2020
Snags three passes
Dissly caught all three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 20-9 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Dissly led the Seahawks' tight ends in snaps despite Greg Olsen's (foot) return to the lineup. Olsen played just 12 snaps, and it's uncertain whether that pitch count will remain in place or if his workload will ramp up moving forward. Regardless, Dissly should continue to handle a decent workload because of his blocking abilities. He's nevertheless an undependable fantasy option with a 23-231-2 line through 15 games.
Dec 21, 2020
No targets against Washington
Dissly wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Dissly played 37 snaps on offense, as he was out-snapped by Jacob Hollister (40 snaps) for a second straight game. Hollister finished with a 2-17-1 line. Even with Greg Olsen (foot) out of the lineup, neither tight end has distanced himself from the other in regards to fantasy utility.
Dec 14, 2020
Finds paydirt in win
Dissly caught both targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Dissly found the end zone for the second time since rupturing his Achilles in Week 6 of the 2019 season. He continues to look more comfortable on the field, and he likely would've played more than 49 percent of the snaps if coach Pete Carroll didn't rest starters in the fourth quarter. Dissly's still a touchdown-dependant fantasy option this season.
Dec 6, 2020
Leads tight end corps
Dissly recorded four receptions on five targets for 28 yards in Week 13 against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has been limited as a pass-catcher for much of the season and was held catchless in Week 12 against the Eagles. However, he bounced back to post his first performance with more than two catches on the campaign. Dissly worked exclusively in short areas of the field as his longest catch went for only 10 yards, limiting his production. Even with the relatively strong volume, it will be difficult to trust Dissly moving forward as he has to share targets with fellow tight end Jacob Hollister as well as standout wide receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Dec 1, 2020
Not targeted Monday
Dissly didn't receive a target in Monday's 23-17 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
In the first game without Greg Olsen (foot), Dissly out-snapped Jacob Hollister by a 48-37 margin. However, Hollister received five targets compared to Dissly's goose egg. Hollister didn't do anything with the looks, turning them into two receptions for 11 yards. Dissly is the better blocker of the two, so his snap count should remain consistent regardless. His fantasy value remains low.
Nov 20, 2020
Musters up 10 yards
Dissly caught his lone target for 10 yards in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
For a fourth straight week, Dissly recorded just one reception, and he hasn't been targeted more than four times in a game this year. However, the third-year tight end registered his highest snap share (65 percent) of the season, and he could enjoy an increased workload moving forward following news that Greg Olsen likely will miss extended time with a foot injury. Jacob Hollister figures to see a bump in usage, too, but Olsen doesn't leave behind much fantasy upside for either player, as he averaged just 2.3 receptions and 22.4 receiving yards per game.
Nov 16, 2020
Just one catch again
Dissly caught one of two targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Greg Olsen regained control as the No. 1 tight end in this outing, with Dissly as a close No. 2 with a 36 percent snap share. Dissly has yet to catch more than two passes or surpass 38 receiving yards in a game this year, and he has just one touchdown. There's major ambiguity in the tight-end room, too, as three different tight ends have led the group in snaps in each of the last three games, so Dissly's fantasy value is reserved for dynasty settings.
Nov 10, 2020
Generates 26 yards
Dissly caught his lone target for 26 yards in Sunday's 44-34 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Dissly finally surpassed Greg Olsen in snap share last week, but his usage nosedived against the Bills, finishing third among Seahawks tight ends at 32 percent. Jacob Hollister ended up leading the group and finished with five receptions for 60 yards. Hollister is a crafty tight end in his own right, so this trend could continue, although it's been a fool's errand to predict a fantasy-relevant tight end in Seattle all year.
Nov 2, 2020
Hauls in one pass
Dissly caught a 17-yard pass on his lone target in Sunday's 37-27 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, Greg Olsen failed to catch any of his four targets Sunday. Dissly played more than the veteran, too, recording a 63 percent snap share while Olsen played 54 percent of the snaps. It's possible that the Seahawks' injury-riddled backfield factored into Dissly's playing time, but he's been trending in this direction for weeks and could maintain this role moving forward. Dissly run blocks on a good chunk of his snaps, though, and as long as Olsen is on board, his fantasy upside is capped.
Oct 27, 2020
Snap count rising
Dissly caught two of four targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
This was Dissly's season-high for receiving yardage, but more importantly, he logged 58 percent of the offensive workload, his highest mark of the year. Meanwhile, veteran tight end Greg Olsen played 62 percent of snaps and recorded two receptions for 18 yards. Olsen is running more routes than Dissly, but it's worth noting that Dissly is still getting comfortable after his 2019 season ended with a torn Achilles. If Dissly's workload continues to increase, he could be worth a flier in fantasy as we head into the home stretch since he's a touchdown threat in the highest-scoring offense in the league. The third-year pro out of Washington is especially interesting in dynasty formats.
Oct 22, 2020
Resumes practicing in full
Dissly (Achilles) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly began the week with a limited session Wednesday, as has been standard this season for load limit purposes. Upgrading to full practice reps Thursday serves as an indication that Dissly is fully on track to play his usual rotational role behind Greg Olsen during Sunday's divisional matchup against the Cardinals.
Oct 21, 2020
Limited again Wednesday
Dissly (Achilles) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
This has been the norm for Dissly this season, as the Seahawks look to manage the third-year tight end's workload after he suffered a torn Achilles in 2019. He should be good to go in Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, and he'll look to surpass the 20-yard mark for the first time this season.
Oct 12, 2020
Hauls in TD on SNF
Dissly caught a 19-yard touchdown pass in Sunday's 27-26 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was targeted just once during Sunday's NFC showdown, but he capitalized, beating a linebacker in the end zone and reeling in the ball for his first score since Week 4 of the 2019 season. It's excellent to see Dissly find the paydirt after suffering two brutal injuries during his first two years in the league, but his opportunities are still quite scarce. Dissly played just 20 of 54 offensive snaps (37 percent) while Greg Olsen logged a 45 percent snap share. It's worth keeping an eye on Dissly in dynasty formats since Olsen's on a one-year deal, but his production likely will be too sporadic this year to count on.
Oct 8, 2020
Limited again Thursday
Dissly (Achilles) was a limited practice participant Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly's practice reps have been capped on occasion this season, but his status for game days has been cleared ahead of all four contests. Friday's injury report likely will do the same, but if it doesn't Jacob Hollister and Luke Willson could be poised for larger workloads behind starting tight end Greg Olsen on Sunday against the Vikings.
Oct 7, 2020
Puts in limited practice
Dissly (Achilles) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has been a regular on Seahawks injury reports this season with an Achilles issue, likely a residual of his season-ending injury from October 2019. His production has been next to none this season, as he's managed no more than two catches or 15 yards in any given game. Expect Dissly to continue working behind Greg Olsen on game days.
Oct 5, 2020
Registers 15 yards
Dissly caught both of his targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 31-23 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
This was a season-high in yardage for Dissly, who is coming off an Achilles tear and is lined up as the No. 2 tight end behind Greg Olsen. Dissly appears to be closing the gap in usage, as he played 43 percent of the snaps Sunday while Olsen logged a season-low 56 percent, the Seahawks are utilizing Dissly in more as a blocker than a pass catcher. That could change as he gets more comfortable on the field, but the upside is low considering the high target shares for Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
Oct 1, 2020
Logs full practice Thursday
Dissly (Achilles) practiced fully Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has had his practice reps capped on occasion this season, the result of his season-ending Achilles injury from October 2019. After logging a limited session Wednesday, he's back to full capacity as the Seahawks prepare to host the Dolphins on Sunday. While Dissly is a distant second to Greg Olsen in offensive snap share this year -- 42.8 versus 66.7 percent -- the former has yet to produce, hauling in all five targets for 22 yards and no touchdowns.
Sep 30, 2020
Practices with limitations
Dissly (Achilles) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly was listed with this injury ahead of Week 3's win over the Cowboys, a game in which he logged 40 percent of the offensive snaps. The Seahawks are simply limiting his workload after the tight end tore his Achilles last season. His injury status shouldn't concern fantasy managers too much, however, as he's recorded just five receptions for 22 yards through three games.
Sep 29, 2020
Registers just five yards
Dissly caught both targets for five yards in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is the clear No. 2 TE behind Greg Olsen, as he's played about 40 percent of snaps through three games. The Seahawks shift to a pass-heavy approach hasn't benefited Dissly, though. He's caught all five targets this year for just 22 yards, and none of those have come in the red zone. Fantasy managers that were hoping for sleeper potential with Dissly can confidently jump ship.
Sep 25, 2020
Good to go
Dissly (Achilles) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Dallas, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks have limited Dissly's practice workload to help him work his way back from last year's Achilles tear. He was never in real danger of missing the upcoming game, but he's been working in a secondary role behind veteran tight end Greg Olsen.
Sep 24, 2020
Limited again Thursday
Dissly (Achilles) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly, who had previously been fully cleared ahead of Week 1, has now logged back-to-back limited practice sessions. The third-year pro suffered a ruptured Achilles' tendon last October, so it's possible that the Seahawks are simply being cautious with his practice activity, but it's worrying to see him on the injury report in any capacity. Greg Olsen is already working as Seattle's top tight end, so he would get a slight bump in opportunities if Dissly were forced to handle less snaps or even miss any time.
Sep 23, 2020
Logs limited practice Wednesday
Dissly (Achilles) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
This is Dissly's first appearance on the injury report since being fully cleared for Week 1. It's slightly concerning considering he ruptured his Achilles tendon in Week 6 last year, as the injury could be flaring up despite successful rehab. He'll likely be closely monitored as a result. If Dissly is forced to miss any time, Greg Olsen would get a slight bump as the clear No. 1 TE, but the Seahawks could opt to use less two TE sets, meaning WRs David Moore and Freddie Swain could benefit as well.
Sep 22, 2020
Largely uninvolved against Pats
Dissly caught his only target for a nine-yard gain during Sunday's 35-30 win against New England.
ANALYSIS
The 2018 fourth-round draft pick showed immediate promise as a rookie, racking up six catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns over his first two career outings. A knee injury ended that promising 2018 campaign after Dissly made four appearances, however. Last year Dissly came out firing again, racking up five-plus catches and a touchdown in three of six appearances before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. Perhaps slowed by the damage his body has taken over the past two seasons, Dissly is off to a quiet start with three catches and 17 yards through two weeks. Still, given that he's playing with a quarterback in Russell Wilson who has nearly as many touchdown passes (nine) as incompletions (11) thus far in 2020, one could certainly do worse in taking a tight end flyer.
Sep 14, 2020
Snags two passes
Dissly caught both targets for eight yards in Sunday's 38-25 win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
When Dissly returned from a patellar tear last season, the Seahawks eased him into action, and they're following the same path this season. The third-year tight end played 25 of 62 offensive snaps (40 percent) and wasn't a fixture in the passing game, while Greg Olsen logged 41 snaps and hauled in four passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Dissly could take some of Olsen's snaps if he stays healthy and proves he's still the tight end that posted 23-262-4 through five games last season.
Sep 11, 2020
Cleared for return
Dissly (Achilles) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Atlanta, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Making his way back from last year's Achilles tear, Dissly was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, but he's apparently good to go for the season opener. It isn't clear he'll have a significant role on offense, considering the Seahawks gave Greg Olsen a one-year, $7 million contract this past offseason. That said, Dissly certainly looked like more than a role player prior to his season-ending injuries the past two years, producing 10.2 YPT and six touchdowns on 41 targets in 10 total games.
Sep 10, 2020
Added to injury report
Dissly (Achilles) was limited during Thursday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly wasn't listed on Wednesday's first injury report of the season, but he's still feeling residual effects of the Achilles tear he sustained last October. With all of Greg Olsen, Jacob Hollister and Luke Willson in house, the Seahawks could opt to ease Dissly back into action even if he's cleared to suit up in Atlanta on Sunday.
Sep 9, 2020
Sidesteps injury report
Dissly (Achilles) wasn't listed on the Seahawks' injury report Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has been in recovery mode since tearing his left Achilles on Oct. 13 last season, his second serious injury in as many seasons as a pro. And for the second year in a row, he'll be available from the outset of the campaign. The Seahawks may opt to ease him into action Sunday in Atlanta, and he has healthy competition for snaps from fellow tight ends Greg Olsen, Jacob Hollister and Luke Willson. However, Dissly's nose for the end zone is evident, as he has six touchdowns on 31 catches across 10 career appearances.
Aug 18, 2020
Practicing with pads
Dissly (Achilles) wore pads during Tuesday's practice, he reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly tore his Achilles in Week 6 last year and has been diligently rehabbing since then. He passed a physical in early August and has been easing into practices, and while there haven't been reports that Dissly has taken contact yet, participating in padded practice is a big step. The 24-year-old tight end has shown nothing but promise since entering the league, as he's accrued 31 receptions for 418 yards and six touchdowns over 10 games, but his inability to stay healthy has left fantasy managers disappointed.

Passes physical
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed Monday that Dissly (Achilles) passed his physical, but the tight end is still expected to be eased along carefully during training camp, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Carroll has been encouraged by how Dissly has fared in his recovery from the torn Achilles' tendon he suffered nine months earlier, the Seahawks aren't inclined to rush the 24-year-old while he returns from his second major lower-body injury in as many years. Perhaps due to a lack of confidence in how Dissly's comeback effort might play out, the Seahawks pumped significant resources into their tight-end room this offseason by signing veteran Greg Olsen, re-signing Cody Hollister and Luke Willson and spending a fourth-round pick on Colby Parkinson. Even if Dissly gains clearance for Week 1, he's probably looking at a timeshare at the position with Olsen in a best-case scenario.

Expected to be ready for Week 1
The Seahawks "fully expect" Dissly (Achilles) to be healthy in time for Week 1 of the 2020 regular season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly is coming off a torn Achilles sustained early last October, his second consecutive season-ending injury after suffering a torn patellar tendon as a rookie in 2018. Though the 23-year-old still has a long road ahead in his recovery, it appears as though he's making significant progress and has a real shot at returning to full health in time to kick off the 2020 regular season. With Seattle having inked veteran tight end Greg Olsen to a one-year deal, however, it remains to be seen how No. 1 reps at the position will be divvied out even if Dissly does manage a return to full form.

Competition arrives in Seattle
Dissly (Achilles) is in danger of losing his No. 1 tight-end job after Greg Olsen signed with the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly seems to be making solid progress in his recovery, and it's possible that he'll be ready for Week 1. Still, with back-to-back, season-ending injuries -- he suffered a patella tear in 2018 -- over his first two years in the league, there's legitimate questions about whether he can return to his former production. The 23-year-old tight end has recorded 418 receiving yards and six touchdowns over 10 career games, and even if he gets back to full strength, Olsen's arrival lowers Dissly's ceiling.

Making progress in recovery
Coach Pete Carroll said Dissly is recovering well from the torn Achilles he suffered in Week 6, Andy Patton of USA Today reports. "He's killing the rehab. [Dissly] is doing great," Carroll said. "But, it's a long process, it's going to be some tough work for him."
ANALYSIS
Dissly suffered a season-ending injury for the second time in his two-year career when he tore his Achilles in Week 6. In the tight end's rookie campaign, he sustained a torn patellar tendon. Dissly beat that expected recovery timeline and showed no ill effects in his return to action, recording 23 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns over six games. He was one of Russell Wilson's top targets, and he was a weekly fantasy starter. A torn Achilles usually takes around a year to recover from, so it'll be tough, albeit possible, for him to return for Week 1 of the 2020 season. The Seahawks will likely retain pending RFA Jacob Hollister, who recorded 41 catches for 349 yards and three scores, and Ed Dickson (knee) still has another year on his contract after sitting out the entire 2019 campaign. If Dissly can get back to 100 percent, he'll likely be the No. 1 tight end, but there's no guarantee he gets to that point in Week 1, or at all.

Achilles injury 'serious'
Coach Pete Carroll called Dissly's Achilles injury a "serious one" following Sunday's 32-28 win at Cleveland, Liz Matthews of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Considering Carroll also termed the situation "devastating," Dissly may have suffered a second season-ending injury in as many pro campaigns. Once further testing is done on Dissly's lower left leg, the Seahawks will reveal the extent of the injury. In the wake of the news, the team is down to two healthy tight ends (Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister).

Injures Achilles on Sunday
Dissly was ruled out of Sunday's game at Cleveland due to an Achilles injury, Michael-Shawn Dugar reports.
ANALYSIS
Targeted in the end zone early in the second quarter, Dissly experienced an awkward fall and immediately grabbed his left leg, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic, needing assistance to get to the sideline. Following confirmation of the injury, Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister are left as the only available tight ends for quarterback Russell Wilson.

Slated to play Week 2
Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Dissly (knee) will play Sunday in Pittsburgh, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Carroll's claim was backed up by the second-year tight end subsequently practicing in full, per John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site. Dissly's turnaround is a surprise after he was called "doubtful to return" Week 1 due to an issue to his right knee, which was the same knee that endured a season-ending injury in 2018. While he'll be back in action, the Seahawks may limit Dissly's workload and alternatively make TE Nick Vannett a bigger part of the game plan.

Looked 'OK' Monday
Dissly (knee) was moving about fine Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
This development comes one day removed from Dissly being tagged as "doubtful to return" as a result of a right knee injury. The same knee endured a torn patella tendon last September, so there's cause for concern that he'll miss some time. Wednesday's injury report will shed light on his current level of health. Plus, with just one healthy TE (Nick Vannett) on the 53-man roster, the Seahawks would tip their hand regarding Dissly by making a free-agent signing at the position.

Unlikely to return Week 1
Dissly is doubtful to return to Sunday's contest against the Bengals due to a right knee injury, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly hurt the same knee that sustained a patella tendon injury in 2018, ending his rookie campaign after four games. He seemed to make a complete recovery by the start of this season, but this development puts a damper on those hopes. The nature of the current issue (and its corresponding recovery timetable) should be revealed in due time.

Suits up, but no targets
Dissly (knee) was able to suit up for Sunday's preseason loss to Minnesota, but he did not receive a target in limited action.
ANALYSIS
The good news is that Dissly was cleared for game action for the first time since injuring his knee last September; the downside was that the tight end was not targeted by Russell Wilson. Still, the 23-year-old was out there with the first-string offense, which bodes well for his chances to begin the season as the team's primary tight end. Dissly made some noise before going down to injury in 2018 (six receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns in Weeks 1 and 2), so there is some upside to be had, especially with Doug Baldwin's targets out of the picture.

On verge of long-awaited return
Dissly (knee) is in uniform for Sunday's preseason matchup with the Vikings, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Dissly will be back on the field for the first time since Week 4 of the 2018 campaign. The 23-year-old tight end scored two touchdowns in four games as a rookie and has been turning heads in camp, so a strong performance here could go a long way for Dissly's fantasy stock.
