Good to go against Broncos
Worthy (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Worthy tweaked his ankle at practice Thursday but practiced without limitations Friday, earning the green light for Sunday's showdown between AFC West rivals. Worthy has taken a back seat to Rashee Rice in Kansas City's receiving corps and will be facing a stingy Broncos secondary, but at least the speedster doesn't appear to have any physical limitations.
Nov 14, 2025
Likely to play Sunday
Coach Andy Reid said Worthy tweaked his ankle at Thursday's practice, but the second-year wide receiver "did everything" at Friday's session and is "good to go" for Sunday's game at Denver, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
That would seem to imply that Worthy was a full practice participant to wrap up Week 11 prep after being added to the Chiefs' injury report Thursday as limited due to an ankle injury. Friday's report will reveal whether or not Worthy enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's contest.
Nov 13, 2025
Added to injury report Thursday
Worthy was limited at practice Thursday due to an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Worthy wasn't listed on the Chiefs' initial Week 11 injury report Wednesday, so his addition to it a day later is notable. It's unclear if the wideout's ankle issue cropped up after Wednesday's practice or occurred during Thursday's session, but his status is now worth tracking as Sunday's game against the Broncos approaches. Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton would be candidates to log added snaps behind Rashee Rice if Worthy is out or limited this weekend.
Nov 2, 2025
Gains 30 yards on four touches
Worthy had three receptions on seven targets for 23 yards while taking his only carry for seven yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Worthy tied Rashee Rice for the team lead in targets Sunday, but that's about where the good news ends. The 22-year-old Worthy couldn't turn those opportunities into production, finishing fourth in receiving despite garnering such a large share of targets. The speedy gadget receiver is still providing a decent floor for fantasy in his current role, but we haven't seen him explode for a notable performance yet. Perhaps Worthy can finally rip off a long score when the Chiefs return from the upcoming bye to face the Broncos in Week 11.
Oct 28, 2025
Nabs five passes on MNF
Worthy reeled in five of seven targets for 53 yards during Monday's 28-7 victory over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Worthy logged the second-most snaps among Chiefs wideouts Monday, tallying 58 to fall one shy of Rashee Rice (59). The second-year wideout also claimed his highest target volume since Week 5 against the Jaguars after recording just four targets in each of the last two tilts. He enters Week 9 as the No. 2 wideout option ahead of Hollywood Brown but remains firmly behind Rice -- who has claimed 19 targets in his two games since returning from a six-game suspension -- in the pecking order.
Oct 19, 2025
Limited targets again
Worthy recorded three receptions on four targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders. He added one rush for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Worthy saw only four targets for the second consecutive game, a concerning trend given the return of Rashee Rice in Sunday's shutout win. Rice immediately came back to lead the team in every receiving stat, and will likely remain Patrick Mahomes' favorite target moving forward. That will leave Worthy reliant on big plays to produce strong fantasy performances and make him more of a boom or bust option in future weeks.
Oct 12, 2025
Touchdown salvages low-usage game
Worthy caught two of four targets for 20 yards and a touchdown while taking his only carry for six yards in Sunday's 30-17 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Worthy endured another limited practice week in order to suit up for the Chiefs on Sunday. The speedy wideout has missed two-plus games of action due to injury, but he has now started three consecutive games as his health gradually returns to full strength. Worthy made his first trip to the end zone this season in the primetime win, salvaging what would have been an otherwise disappointing night at the office. The 2024 first-round selection averaged 86.0 combined yards from scrimmage over his first two games back from injury, so Sunday's low usage shouldn't be of concern. The biggest threat to Worthy's target share in Week 7 is the scheduled return of suspended WR Rashee Rice, who is likely to reclaim his role as Kansas City's top wideout against Las Vegas next Sunday.
Oct 10, 2025
Ready to face Detroit in Week 6
Worthy (shoulder/ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday night's game against the Lions after returning to a full practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Worthy, who is managing shoulder and ankle issues, didn't practice Thursday, but his return to a full session a day later suggests that his absence was maintenance-related, rather than indicative of a setback. In two games back since missing time with a shoulder injury that he sustained Week 1, Worthy has combined to catch 11 passes (on 17 targets) for 125 yards and log three carries for 47 yards, a pace that keeps the starting WR firmly on the Week 6 fantasy lineup radar.
Oct 10, 2025
Expected to play Sunday
Coach Andy Reid said Friday that he expects Worthy (shoulder/ankle) being available Sunday night against the Lions, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy got the day off Thursday due to the pair of injuries that have bothered him at times this season, but his return to drills Friday seemingly went well, as Reid noted that the wide receiver was "moving around good" and "did everything." Once the Chiefs post their final Week 6 practice report, his status will become known ahead of the weekend.
Oct 9, 2025
Non-participant Thursday
Worthy (ankle/shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy practiced without limitations Wednesday, so it's possible Thursday is just a maintenance day for the 2024 first-round pick, who has had an injury-filled start to his sophomore season. He sat out Weeks 2 and 3 after injuring his shoulder in a collision with Travis Kelce early in Week 1, and Worthy experienced swelling in his ankle shortly before Monday's loss to the Jaguars, though he showed no ill effects from the latter injury in a six-catch performance against Jacksonville. Worthy's participation level Friday will offer valuable insight regarding his availability for Sunday night's game against the Lions.
Oct 7, 2025
Gains 51 yards on MNF
Worthy (shoulder/ankle) corralled six of nine targets for 42 yards and took his only carry for nine yards in Monday's 31-28 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Worthy popped up on the Week 5 injury report after being a full participant in practice after experiencing swelling in his ankle on the flight to Jacksonville. The speedy wideout was able to finish Monday's loss in good health, but it is worth noting that he left the contest briefly to have his ankle examined after getting tackled on one of his six receptions. The injury scare comes just one week after Worthy returned from a shoulder injury that cost him two games of action. Kansas City's offense is clearly more explosive when Worthy is on the field, so managers are hoping for a clean bill of health heading into a potential shootout against the Lions on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.
Oct 6, 2025
Active Monday, as expected
Worthy (shoulder/ankle) is listed as active Monday at Jacksonville, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy put an end to a two-game absence Week 4 against the Ravens after recovering from the dislocated right shoulder that he suffered in the season opener. Overall, he played 59 percent of the snaps en route to five catches (on eight targets) for 83 yards and two carries for 38 yards. Worthy proceeded to be listed as a full participant during Week 5 prep, but his status was changed to questionable after his ankle swelled up on the Chiefs' flight to Jacksonville. However, now that his status is confirmed for Monday's contest, Worthy will slot in as Kansas City's No. 1 wide receiver.
Oct 6, 2025
Expected to play Monday
Worthy (shoulder/ankle), who was added to the Chiefs' Week 5 injury report Sunday, is expected to play Monday night against the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Per the report, Worthy who has been managing a shoulder issue, felt some swelling in his ankle and was added to Kansas City's injury report, but Rapoport suggests that was precautionary and that the wideout should be available Monday. While that's encouraging, fantasy managers will still want to confirm Worthy's status ahead of Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 5, 2025
Ankle swelled up Sunday
Worthy's ankle swelled up on the Chiefs' flight to Jacksonville on Sunday, and Kansas City added him to the injury report as questionable as a precaution, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Wolfe, the Chiefs will see how Worthy feels Monday ahead of the team's game against the Jaguars. Worthy wasn't even on the injury report this week and practiced in full, so it's unclear when he even came down with this ankle issue. Fantasy managers need to have another plan in place in case Worthy is deemed unable to play. Tyquan Thornton, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Dyami Brown and Parker Washington are options that could be found on the waiver wire.
Oct 5, 2025
Now questionable for MNF
The Chiefs added Worthy (shoulder/ankle) to the injury report Sunday, and he's now questionable for Monday night's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
The ankle issue is the new one for Worthy, as this is the first time it's been noted as an injury for the Chiefs' star wide receiver. Worthy had already been dealing with a shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 1. If Worthy is unable to play against Jacksonville, Tyquan Thornton would likely again be an every-down player for Kansas City.
Sep 28, 2025
Splash plays in return
Worthy recorded five receptions on eight targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Ravens. He added two rushes for 38 yards.
ANALYSIS
Worthy returned from a shoulder injury and was active for the first time since Week 1, though he quickly regained his role as the Chiefs' top playmaker. He accounted for each of the team's three longest plays from scrimmage on gains ranging from 28 to 37 yards while being used in all areas of the field and on an end around. While Worthy did his damage on big plays, he also led the team in targets, indicating this level of production is sustainable moving forward.
Sep 26, 2025
Clear to return Sunday
Worthy (shoulder) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Worthy thus has been cleared for his first game action since he was knocked from the Chiefs' Week 1 loss early following a collision with TE Travis Kelce. Diagnosed with a dislocated right shoulder afterward, Worthy sat out Weeks 2 and 3, but his ability to practice in full this week indicates he's ready for close to his typical workload. From Week 14 through Super Bowl LIX last season (minus Week 18), he handled greater than 80 percent of the offensive snaps regularly and recorded a 45-518-5 line on 58 targets and 12 carries for 63 yards and another touchdown across seven games.
Sep 26, 2025
Expected to return Sunday
Coach Andy Reid said Friday that he anticipates Worthy (shoulder) being available Sunday against the Ravens, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy has been sidelined since he suffered a dislocated right shoulder in a collision with TE Travis Kelce on the Chiefs' first possession of the season. After logging full practices Wednesday and Thursday, Worthy has proved his health and is slated to put an end to a two-game absence. In the end, though, it remains to be seen if the Chiefs will restrict his workload in any way in what is an early-season must-win for the team.
Sep 25, 2025
Another full practice
Worthy (shoulder) practiced fully again Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Worthy -- who suffered a dislocated right shoulder in the Chiefs' season opener -- has missed two straight games, but back-to-back full practices point to a return to action Sunday against the Ravens. Assuming that's the case, the main issue pertaining to Worthy's Week 4 fantasy viability is the possibility that he could be eased back into the lineup versus Baltimore.
Sep 24, 2025
Full practice participant
Worthy (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Worthy thus appears likely to return for Sunday's game against the Ravens. He was listed as a limited practice participant all of last week, getting a 'questionable' designation on the Friday injury report before downgrading to 'out' on Saturday. Worthy's likely return to the lineup could mean less playing time for any of Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and/or JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Sep 20, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Worthy will not travel with the team for the contest, so his return to action is on hold for now. In his continued absence, Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster are once again slated to see added WR snaps for the Chiefs, while Jalen Royals (knee, questionable) could join the mix as well in Week 3.
Sep 20, 2025
Not expected to play Sunday
Worthy (shoulder) isn't expected to play Sunday night against the Giants, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Worthy was able to practice in a limited fashion this week, it appears as though the Chiefs are inclined to err on the side of caution with the wideout this week. Assuming he is ruled inactive Sunday, Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster would continue to see added WR snaps in Week 3, with Jalen Royals (knee, questionable) possibly joining the mix as well.
Sep 19, 2025
Officially questionable for Week 3
Worthy (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at the Giants, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy is attempting to play through the dislocated right shoulder that he suffered in the Chiefs' first possession of the season during a Week 1 loss to the Chargers in Brazil. He wasn't able to suit up for a Week 2 defeat to the Eagles, but going back to last week, he's now been listed as limited on five consecutive injury reports. Coach Andy Reid said Friday that a decision regarding Worthy's availability for Week 3 will be made after he talks with Kansas City's medical staff, according to Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com. With an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, there won't be many viable options to pivot to if Worthy ends up being inactive.
Sep 19, 2025
Reid non-committal about WR's status
Coach Andy Reid said Friday that the Chiefs will "see how it goes" regarding Worthy's availability for Sunday's game at the Giants, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy hasn't played since sustaining a dislocated right shoulder on the Chiefs' first drive of the season in a Week 1 loss to the Chargers in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He sat out Week 2 as a result, but he was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday and likely maintained that activity level to cap Week 3 prep. Reid also told Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com that he'll leave a decision on Worthy's availability to team doctors, so how he's listed on Friday's injury report may not be indicative of the wide receiver's odds to suit up Sunday.
Sep 18, 2025
Another limited practice Thursday
Worthy (shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Worthy is trending toward a return to game action Sunday night against the Giants. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether the wideout carries an injury designation into the weekend, but the potential return of Worthy looms large for the Chiefs, who will be without fellow WR Rashee Rice (suspension) through Week 6.
Sep 17, 2025
Limited in return to practice
Worthy (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Worthy was "looking good" for a Week 3 return. The wideout's subsequent return to practice supports that notion, though neither Worthy nor coach Andy Reid has commented on expectations yet. The Chiefs hope to have Worthy and/or Jalen Royals (knee) back in the lineup this Sunday at the Giants, after each of Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster got at least 74 percent route share in the Week 2 loss to Philadelphia.
Sep 17, 2025
In line to practice Wednesday
Coach Andy Reid said that Worthy (shoulder) will practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It remains to be seen how the Chiefs list Worthy's participation level, but this aligns with a previous report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the wideout -- who was inactive Week 2 -- is trending toward a return to action Sunday against the Giants. In the absence of both Worthy (limited to three snaps in Week 1) and Jalen Royals (knee, also set to practice Wednesday), Hollywood Brown, Tyquan Thornton and JuJu Smith-Schuster have led Kansas City's WR corps early on this season.
Sep 14, 2025
Trending toward Week 3 return
Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles, but the Chiefs believe the receiver is "looking good" to play Week 3 against the Giants, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite suffering a full tear of his right labrum during a collision with teammate Travis Kelce on the first drive of the Chiefs' 27-21 season-opening loss to the Chargers on Sept. 5, Worthy was able to practice in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday and took a doubtful tag into the weekend before the Chiefs downgraded him to out for the Week 2 matchup. Worthy could still require surgery for the injury down the road, but for the time being, he plans to play through the issue while wearing a harness to protect the torn labrum. The Chiefs will wait and see how Worthy fares during their upcoming practices in Week 3 before deciding on his availability for the showdown with the Giants, but the early expectation is that he'll be ready to play following a one-game absence.
Sep 13, 2025
Out for Sunday's game
Worthy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Worthy entered the weekend with a doubtful tag after he suffered a dislocated right shoulder during the season-opening loss to the Chargers. It's encouraging that the 2024 first-round pick was a limited participant in practice Thursday and Friday, and his next chance to play will be Week 3 versus the Giants. Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton figure to take on a bulk of the workload in Worthy's absence.
Sep 12, 2025
Doubtful for Sunday
Worthy (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
After coming out of a Week 1 loss to the Chargers with a dislocated right shoulder, Worthy got back on the field as a limited participant at practice Thursday and Friday, after which coach Andy Reid gave him a "slim" chance to suit up Week 2, per Jesse Newell of The Athletic. A doubtful designation implies Worthy is more likely than not to be inactive Sunday, but Kansas City doesn't need to make a decision on that front until about 90 minutes before a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. With rookie fourth-rounder Jalen Royals (knee) ruled out, the Chiefs' current healthy wide receivers on hte active roster are Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, Jason Brownlee and Nikko Remigio.
Sep 12, 2025
'Slim' chance to play Sunday
Coach Andy Reid said that Worthy (shoulder) "did a little bit" at Friday's practice, and there's a "slim" chance for the wide receiver to suit up Sunday against the Eagles, Jesse Newell of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy was knocked from the first drive of the Chiefs' season last Friday against the Chargers when he collided with TE Travis Kelce, suffering a dislocated right shoulder in the process. While the wide receiver has been able to practice on back-to-back days, Worthy appears to have only a very small possibility to miss no game action as a result. With a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff on tap Sunday, managers should have an alternative lined up for fantasy purposes, assuming he isn't ruled out before then.
Sep 11, 2025
Returns to limited practice
Worthy (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Worthy's return to practice -- albeit in a limited capacity -- is an encouraging development after the wideout sat out Wednesday's session. Per Nate Taylor of ESPN, Worthy -- who sustained a dislocated right shoulder in last Friday's season opener -- sported extra padding on his right arm while working Thursday. Unless Worthy upgrades to full participation Friday, he figures to approach Sunday's game against the Eagles with an injury designation, but it looks like the Chiefs may have the 2024 first-rounder available this weekend, after all.
Sep 11, 2025
Set to work at practice Thursday
Worthy (shoulder) is slated to work in some capacity during Thursday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy didn't practice Wednesday, so any level of participation a day later would improve his chances of being able to play Sunday against the Eagles. Either way, unless the wideout is deemed a full practice participant by Friday, he figures to head into the weekend with a Week 2 injury designation.
Sep 10, 2025
Not slated to practice Wednesday
Worthy (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
According to coach Andy Reid, Worthy -- who suffered a right shoulder injury during Week 1 action -- is doing better and making progress, with surgery is not currently under consideration for the wideout. As this stage, however, Worthy's status for Sunday's game against the Eagles remains cloudy, and in that context Hollywood Brown is currently the Chiefs' top healthy/available WR. In the event that Worthy and Jalen Royals (knee) are both sidelined this weekend, added snaps would be available for JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton.
Sep 8, 2025
Taking it day by day with shoulder
Coach Andy Reid said Monday the team is taking it "day by day" with Worthy's dislocated shoulder, Pete Sweeney of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
"I know Xavier's the big question, and he's rehabbing and working his shoulder," Reid said. "We'll just see where it goes day by day here - see where we end up." Reid was careful with his words, refusing to commit to a firm timetable for the second-year receiver. For what it's worth, Adam Schefter of ESPN said Monday that Worthy is likely to miss some time. Fantasy players will need to closely monitor Worthy's practice habits in the coming days and weeks. If Worthy is unable to play in Week 2 against the Eagles, Kansas City will likely roll with Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton as its top three receivers versus Philadelphia.
Sep 8, 2025
Likely to miss time
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN stated Worthy (shoulder) will probably miss a little bit of time and be viewed as week-to-week.
ANALYSIS
Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder three snaps into Friday night's eventual loss to the Chargers when he and Travis Kelce collided over the middle of the field. It's now sounding like Worthy is going to miss time, perhaps multiple games with that week-to-week outlook. With Worthy missing most of Week 1 and Rashee Rice serving his six-game suspension to open the season, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton paced the Chiefs' wide receivers in playing time. Brown was particularly involved, turning 16 targets into a 10-99-0 receiving line.
Sep 7, 2025
Sustains dislocated shoulder Friday
Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder during Friday's 27-21 loss to the Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but the Chiefs haven't yet determined how much time the receiver will miss, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy sustained the injury on the Chiefs' opening drive of the game, when he took on the brunt of a violent collision with teammate Travis Kelce. The wideout is set to receive a second opinion on his injury before the team has a clearer idea on how long he might be sidelined, but Rapoport relays that the most likely option is that Worthy gets fitted for a supportive brace on his shoulder that will allow him to return at some point this season. However, if Worthy receives unfavorable news from his upcoming second opinion, surgery could still be in the cards for the second-year receiver. The loss of Worthy for any length of time would leave the Chiefs further shorthanded at receiver, as top target Rashee Rice won't be eligible to make his season debut until Week 7 while he serves a league-imposed six-game suspension.
Sep 5, 2025
Getting MRI on Saturday
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said after Friday's loss to the Chargers that the team doesn't have an update on Worthy (shoulder) aside from sharing that the wideout will get an MRI on Saturday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy hurt his shoulder Friday in a friendly fire incident with teammate Travis Kelce in the first quarter. The wideout left the field in apparent pain and was ruled out not long thereafter. The Chiefs have nine days until their next game (Sunday, Sept. 14 against Philadelphia), but if Worthy isn't able to get well enough to play by then, the team would be left with Hollywood Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster as the top receivers, with Tyquan Thornton, Jason Brownlee, Nikko Remigio and possibly Jalen Royals (knee) adding depth at the position.
Sep 5, 2025
Ruled out Friday
Worthy (shoulder) won't return to Friday's game versus the Chargers in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Worthy took a hit directly to his right shoulder from TE Travis Kelce on the first drive of the contest while running an underneath route. He was in visible pain as he went to the sideline and then was escorted off the field and immediate to the X-ray room before being ruled out. With Rashee Rice suspended for the first six games of the season and Jalen Royals (knee) inactive, the Chiefs are left with Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, Jason Brownlee and Nikko Remigio for the rest of Week 1.
Sep 5, 2025
Exits Friday's game
Worthy is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Chargers in Sao Paolo, Brazil due to a shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
Worthy was a victim of some friendly fire on the Chiefs' opening possession when he was sideswiped by TE Travis Kelce on an underneath route. He remained down for a bit before making his way to the sideline in visible pain. After team trainers checked him out, Worthy then made his way to the locker room.
Aug 23, 2025
Grabs one reception Friday
Worthy brought in his only target for nine receiving yards in Friday's 29-27 preseason loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Worthy logged his first reception of the preseason after seeing the field briefly with the rest of the starters last week against the Seahawks. The gadget receiver avoided the league's concussion protocol after going down hard in practice earlier in camp. Worthy could see an expanded role on offense this season with fellow wideout Rashee Rice expected to miss a significant chunk of the season due to an impending league suspension, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports. The latter may be active for the first four games of the season until a ruling is made, but expect Worthy to operate as the team's top receiver for a good portion of the fantasy campaign.
Aug 1, 2025
Didn't have concussion
Coach Andy Reid revealed Friday that Worthy, who had been in the NFL's concussion protocol, actually didn't sustain a concussion upon further evaluation Thursday, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy had exited Tuesday's practice after banging his head, but after it was determined that he was not concussed, the wideout was able to return to practice Friday. Meanwhile, fellow WRs Hollywood Brown (ankle) and Skyy Moore (hamstring) remain sidelined, per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site.
Aug 1, 2025
Back at practice Friday
Worthy (concussion) is participating in Friday's practice, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy exited practice Tuesday and was placed in the concussion protocol, but he's advanced quickly enough through it to return to the field Friday. The second-year wideout is a candidate for a big leap this season after he and Patrick Mahomes showed improved chemistry down the stretch and into the playoffs last year. Rashee Rice is also expected to be given a multi-week suspension at some point during 2025.
Jul 30, 2025
In concussion protocol
Worthy, who is in the NFL's concussion protocol, didn't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy banged his head during Tuesday's session, and now will need to advance through concussion protocol before he rejoins practice. Also sidelined Wednesday were fellow wideouts Hollywood Brown (ankle) and Skyy Moore (hamstring).
Jul 29, 2025
Exits Tuesday's practice
Coach Andy Reid noted that Worthy exited Tuesday's practice after the wideout banged his head, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
It remains to be seen if Worthy ends up in the NFL's concussion protocol, and in turn misses any time, but for now consider the wideout day-to day. Also forced to exit Tuesday's session was fellow WR Hollywood Brown, who is dealing with an ankle injury, per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site.

Expecting more deep throws
Worthy said last Thursday that he expects the Kansas City offense to provide more big plays this season, Kay Adams of FanDuel TV reports.
ANALYSIS
"Coach [Andy] Reid told us during OTAs Phase 1, 'When you come back, get your hamstrings ready,'" Worthy said last week. "So, we kind of knew that we were going to be going a little deep during practice. We kind of got our bodies and our minds ready for what we're going to be doing in practice." After leading the league with an average of 9.58 adjusted yards per attempt and 8.8 yards per attempt overall in his first season as a starter back in 2018, Patrick Mahomes has seen that number dip in five of last six seasons, cratering all the way down to a career-worst 6.8 YPA last year. But with Worthy headed into his second season and Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice healthy again, the offense wants to produce more big plays down the field. Worthy is an exciting mid-round fantasy pick, particularly in best ball formats.

Will not face charges
Worthy will not be charged following his Friday arrest in Williamson County, Texas, Tyler Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy was booked for assault against a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation, which is a third-degree felony, but after authorities spoke with witnesses, the district attorney is not accepting the case at this time. Worthy's lawyers indicated it was an attempt at extortion by Worthy's accuser. It sounds like Worthy could avoid any sort of discipline from the NFL.
Mar 8, 2025
Arrested Friday
Worthy was arrested Friday in Williamson County, Texas on an assault charge, Will Kunkel of Fox 26 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
According to the police report, the 21-year-old wide receiver faces a charge of assault against a family or household member by impeding breathing or circulation. The Chiefs issued a statement Saturday noting that they are aware of Worthy's arrest and are gathering more information on the matter, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. No bond or court appearance has been set yet for Worthy.

Standout performer in SB loss
Worthy brought in all eight of his targets for 157 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 40-22 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
ANALYSIS
Worthy ended up being the lone bright spot in terms of stat lines following Kansas City's crushing loss to Philadelphia. The 21-year-old finished with game highs in receptions, yardage and touchdowns scored for either side in what was an incredible individual performance. Worthy finished his first regular season in the pros with 742 combined yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns. His strong play in the playoffs only reinforced the youngster's bright future as a top offensive option for the Chiefs.
Jan 26, 2025
Highlight-reel worthy catch Sunday
Worthy brought down six of seven targets for 85 yards and a touchdown while taking two carries for 16 yards in Sunday's 32-29 win over Buffalo in the AFC Championship Game.
ANALYSIS
Worthy wound up leading the Chiefs in every receiving category while also finishing as the only position player for his team to reach the century mark in total yards from scrimmage. The electric rookie made a remarkable catch near the end of the first half in which he brought down an off-kilter pass from Patrick Mahomes while being draped by two Buffalo defenders. Worthy had just caught the first postseason touchdown of his career on the Chiefs' prior offensive drive, capping off an impressive overall performance en route to Super Bowl LIX. Expect Worthy to be involved as both a runner and pass catcher as Kansas City faces Philadelphia at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

Only WR with receptions for KC
Worthy brought in five of six targets for 45 receiving yards while losing eight yards on his only rushing attempt in Saturday's 23-14 playoff win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Worthy was the only wideout to record a reception for Kansas City after DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster all finished with bagels in that category. It wasn't all roses for the speedy rookie after Worthy was stopped for an eight-yard loss in his only work as a rusher. Expect Worthy to serve a similar role on offense in the next round of the playoffs as the Chiefs prepare to host the AFC Championship Game next Sunday.

Withheld from action in Week 18
Worthy didn't take the field in the regular-season finale versus the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Worthy joined a bevy of Chiefs regulars sitting out Week 18 with the Chiefs already locked into the top seed in the AFC. The rookie wideout closed out his rookie regular season with 59 catches for 638 yards and six touchdowns and will get an added week of rest with a bye during the wild-card round before rejoining the fray in the divisional round.

Surpasses last week's career game
Worthy caught eight of nine targets for 79 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 10 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 win over Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Worthy was fresh off recording a new career high in receptions (seven), an achievement that lasted just four days before Wednesday's eight-catch performance. The versatile rookie notched his sixth touchdown reception while setting another personal best in total yards from scrimmage (89). Worthy has been red-hot for managers in the fantasy playoffs, and he will attempt to finish the regular season with another quality outing against the Broncos next Sunday.
Dec 21, 2024
TD among career-high seven catches
Worthy caught seven of 11 targets for 65 yards and a touchdown while rushing three times for 10 yards in Saturday's 27-19 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Worthy just missed catching a 24-yard touchdown pass late in the first half, failing to get his second foot down inbounds in the end zone as he tried to secure the catch. He also hurt his ankle just before halftime but returned for the second half and proceeded to set a new career high in catches while leading the team in targets, catches and receiving yards. The rookie made no mistake with another chance to score in the third quarter, recording an eight-yard touchdown reception for his eighth total touchdown through 15 games. Even with fellow speedster Hollywood Brown (shoulder) back in the fold, Worthy's poised to maintain a prominent role in Kansas City's offense against the Steelers on Christmas.
Dec 21, 2024
Returns to game
Worthy returned to start the second half after suffering an ankle injury in the second quarter of Saturday's contest against the Texans, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The speedy wide receiver ultimately didn't miss a possession after Worthy suffered an ankle injury late in the Chiefs' final drive of the first half. Worthy has six touches through the first 30 minutes of the game.
Dec 21, 2024
Injures ankle during game
Worthy is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Texans after sustaining an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Worthy appeared to injure his ankle after slipping running a route. The rookie was trending toward one of the better games of his career with four catches for 26 yards on five targets and another two carries and it remains to be seen if he'll return.
Dec 15, 2024
Solid with nine touches Sunday
Worthy brought in six of 11 targets for 46 yards and rushed three times for 30 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 21-7 win over the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs made a concerted effort to get the ball into Worthy's hands throughout the afternoon, with the rookie finishing with team-high totals in receptions, receiving yards and targets while also checking in third in rushing yards. Worthy also posted his third rushing touchdown of his career on a 21-yard run early in the second half, and his catch total was a new career high. Worthy has flashed a solid floor of late, as he'll head into a Week 16 home matchup against the Texans on Saturday afternoon with at least four receptions and 46 receiving yards in five consecutive contests.
Dec 8, 2024
Key catch on game-winning drive
Worthy caught five of six targets for 41 yards and added a five-yard run in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Worthy made one of the game's biggest plays down the stretch, converting on third-and-10 with a 14-yard catch to extend a drive that culminated in Matthew Wright's game-winning 31-yard field goal. The rookie speedster has exceeded 40 receiving yards in four consecutive games after reaching that threshold only twice in his first nine appearances. Worthy will look to extend that streak in Week 15 against the Browns.
Nov 30, 2024
Catches five balls in Week 13 win
Worthy recorded five catches on seven targets for 54 yards in Friday's 19-17 win against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Worthy drew the third-most targets (seven) from Patrick Mahomes, behind Travis Kelce (13) and DeAndre Hopkins (nine). He also ranked second in catches (five) and fourth in receiving yards (54) among the team's pass catchers. Worthy's reception total was a season high, and his yardage total was his third-most of the campaign. After fading during Hopkins' first three games with the club, Worthy has gotten back on track over the past three weeks, recording at least four catches and at least 46 receiving yards in each of those three games.
Nov 24, 2024
Tallies 51 yards from scrimmage
Worthy recorded four receptions on six targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Panthers. He added one rush for five yards.
ANALYSIS
Worthy finished second on the team with six targets, his highest mark since Week 8. However, he continued to struggle to connect with Patrick Mahomes on deep targets, as three of his four catches went for 12 yards or fewer. Given his limited volume and lack of explosiveness, Worthy is difficult to trust respite topping 50 yards from scrimmage in consecutive games for the first time this season.
Nov 17, 2024
Ends cold spell with TD
Worthy had four receptions (five targets) for 61 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for seven yards in Sunday's 30-21 loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Worthy snapped out of his recent funk to lead the Chiefs in receiving yardage while scoring for the sixth time this season. The versatile speedster had netted just one yard over his last two starts, but Sunday's strong output should restore some faith in fantasy managers. The Chiefs will attempt to bounce back next Sunday, in the same fashion Worthy did this Sunday, against the Panthers in Week 12.
Nov 10, 2024
Minimal production again Sunday
Worthy brought in one of four targets for 11 yards in the Chiefs' 16-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The speedy rookie once again struggled to get on the same page with Patrick Mahomes, leading to Worthy's second-lowest reception and receiving yardage totals. Worthy also briefly appeared to be dealing with an arm injury in the second half but remained in the game, and he could continue struggling to make an impact against a talented Bills defense in a Week 11 road battle.
Nov 5, 2024
Struggles mightily Monday
Worthy failed to bring in either of his targets Monday, losing 10 yards on two rushing attempts in an overtime win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Worthy turned in a true negative fantasy performance after losing 10 yards on his only two touches Monday. The speedy rookie took a backseat to veteran DeAndre Hopkins (2-86-2), and that may be a trend that continues in the second half of the season following Kansas City's big trade in Week 8. Worthy is still a key part of the offense (as evident by his four attempted plays Monday), and should still be considered a flex option ahead of Sunday's tilt against Denver.
Oct 27, 2024
Scores in win over LV
Worthy finished with four receptions (eight targets) for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Worthy did not record a rushing attempt for just the second time in eight games, but he did nab his third receiving touchdown of the season. The versatile rookie continues to be a fantasy asset with five combined scores halfway through the schedule. Worthy should be busy against in a potential high-scoring affair between the Chiefs and Buccaneers on Monday Night Football in Week 9.
Oct 20, 2024
Leads team with eight targets
Worthy had three receptions (eight targets) for 19 yards and added one carry for five yards in Sunday's 28-18 win over San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Worthy continued to operate as the Chiefs' top wideout sans Rashee Rice (knee) in Week 7, churning out a similar stat line to his previous spot start in Week 5. The 21-year-old Worthy was unable to hit pay dirt like he did against the Saints, but he did lead Kansas City in targets (eight) on a day where the ground game led the team to victory. The speedy wideout did exit Sunday's contest briefly to be evaluated in the medical tent, but he promptly returned to action and finished the contest without issue. Worthy still carries fantasy value in his elevated role, with fantasy managers hoping for a big play or two against a rebuilding Raiders squad next Sunday.
Oct 7, 2024
Rushing TD in Week 5 win
Worthy secured three of six targets for 25 yards and rushed once for a three-yard touchdown in the Chiefs' 26-13 win over the Saints on Monday night. He also recovered a Carson Steele fumble.
ANALYSIS
Worthy entered the night as the Chiefs' de facto No. 1 receiver due to Rashee Rice's (IR, knee) absence, but he watched Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Schuster command a bulk of Patrick Mahomes' attention. Worthy finished third in targets behind his two teammates, and he would have had a relatively uneventful night had it not been for his early fourth-quarter touchdown rush, his second score on the ground and fourth trip to the end zone overall. Worthy should work into a progressively larger role in coming games, and he'll next take aim at the talented but inconsistent 49ers defense in a Week 7 road Super Bowl rematch following a Week 6 bye.
Sep 29, 2024
Catches long touchdown
Worthy recorded three catches on four targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Worthy is the last of Kansas City's projected top three wide receivers to be healthy, with both Rashee Rice (knee) and Hollywood Brown (shoulder) sidelined for the long term. He likely won't take on huge target volume, but he still showed what he can do with consistent opportunity after breaking free on a go route for a 54-yard touchdown just before halftime. Worthy is likely to remain a boom-bust fantasy option moving forward, but his snap rate should increase significantly while giving his production the opportunity to follow.
Sep 24, 2024
Light output in Week 3
Worthy caught two of four targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 22-17 win against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Worthy ran the second-most routes on the team with 31, per PFF, trailing only Rashee Rice and tight end Travis Kelce. It didn't result in significant output in this one, but Worthy should remain a part of the game plan for a Chiefs offense that is lacking weapons beyond Rice and Kelce. Worthy seems unlikely to draw target volume consistent enough to be anything more than a touchdown-dependent fantasy contributor.
Sep 15, 2024
Held to three touches again
Worthy caught two of four targets for 17 yards and added a five-yard run in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Worthy scored touchdowns on two of his three touches in his NFL debut, but the speedster didn't make as much of the same volume in his second NFL game. The rookie first-round draft pick's role could expand as the season goes on, as the Chiefs will be without Hollywood Brown (shoulder) for the rest of the regular season, leaving Worthy as the top candidate to work as the team's No. 2 wide receiver behind Rashee Rice, who was the only player to exceed 22 receiving yards for Kansas City against the Bengals. Worthy will look to expand his usage in Week 3 against the Falcons.
Sep 6, 2024
Two-TD pro debut in win
Worthy secured two of three targets for 47 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for a 21-yard score in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The electric first-round pick wasted no time translating his stopwatch-busting speed into a game situation, scoring the Chiefs' first touchdown of the new campaign on a 21-yard end around just past the midway point of the first quarter. Worthy blew past the Ravens defense on that play and he then appeared to take advantage of a miscommunication in Baltimore's secondary on his fourth-quarter 35-yard touchdown grab down the right side of the field early in the fourth quarter. Worthy already appears to fit seamlessly into Kansas City's aggressive offensive mindset, and he'll have an opportunity to build on his conspicuous debut during a Week 2 home matchup against the Bengals on Sunday, Sept. 15.
Aug 17, 2024
Finds preseason end zone
Worthy caught three passes for 63 yards and one touchdown on six targets in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Worthy played extensively with the first-team offense, drawing five of Patrick Mahomes' 14 passes and catching two receptions for 40 yards before catching his only Carson Wentz target for a 22-yard touchdown. While the big touchdown catch occurred with Wentz rather than Mahomes, it's still impressive to see the ease with which Worthy got open for the touchdown. The 21-year-old rookie still has learning to do and at just 5-foot-11, 165 pounds there might be some physical development for Worthy to work on, too, but the Chiefs are clearly making it a priority to season Worthy as quickly as possible. It might be tough for Worthy to catch Marquise Brown (sternoclavicular) during the 2024 season, but Worthy's full arrival in the Kansas City offense is likely a matter of When rather than If.

Returns to practice
Worthy (illness) returned to practice Friday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It isn't ideal for a rookie to miss spring practices with a hamstring injury and now four days of training camp due to an illness, but he's back on the field Friday and has plenty of time to make an impression before Week 1. Selected 28th overall this spring after running the 40-yard dash in a combine-record 4.21 seconds, Worthy is part of a WR room where Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown are the top veterans. The team also has three early draft picks from prior years -- Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore -- but at this point they're all viewed as disappointments and likely are competing for backup roles or special teams snaps more so than top-three spots at wide receiver. Rice and Justin Watson (foot) are the only returning WRs that got a lot of playing time for the Chiefs last season.
Jul 24, 2024
Misses practice again
Worthy (illness) missed a third straight practice Wednesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy landed in an ideal spot for immediate fantasy value when the Chiefs drafted him 28th overall this April, but he hasn't actually had many chances to catch passes from Patrick Mahomes, first missing most of the offseason program with a hamstring injury and now losing a trio of training camp practices to an illness. Worthy still has plenty of time to earn a top-three role at wide receiver, of course, and the competition doesn't look all that tough beyond Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown. To that end, Justin Watson was carted off the field at Wednesday's practice, leaving Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Mecole Hardman, Nikko Remigio and Justyn Ross as the leading candidates for first-team WR reps alongside Rice and Brown.
Jul 22, 2024
Dealing with illness
Worthy (illness) is not practicing Monday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy missed OTAs and mandatory minicamp due to a hamstring injury before retaking the practice field last week, and though he's now dealing with an illness, there's no indication the rookie first-round pick will be sidelined long. Worthy got off to a quick start, connecting with quarterback Patrick Mahomes for a deep touchdown during Sunday's practice. Once back on the field, Worthy will resume competing for first-team reps alongside Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown.
Jul 17, 2024
Back on practice field
Worthy (hamstring) participated in Wednesday's practice session, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy appears to have recovered from the hamstring injury that kept him sidelined throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp, and though he missed a few plays Wednesday due to a hand issue, he was back on the field and catching passes from Ian Book by the end of the session. Per Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, the team is currently hosting a "pre-camp" introduction for quarterbacks and rookies, which includes three practices before training camp officially kicks off Sunday. Patrick Mahomes said Tuesday that Worthy won't be eased into action come camp, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, so the rookie first-round pick should be competing for notable practice reps before long.
May 22, 2024
Tweaks hammy during OTAs
Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Worthy tweaked his hamstring earlier during OTAs, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reid said that Worthy "was only out there for a day and a half" before suffering the injury. The Chiefs will hope that the rookie 28th overall pick is able to get back on the field without missing much time, as he's already going to have to skip some valuable reps to learn the offense and build chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Hamstring injuries have the potential to linger or resurface, though, so Kansas City could be motivated to take a cautious approach. In the meantime, names like Justin Watson, Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore and Justyn Ross could benefit from increased reps.
