He had scored in seven of the team’s 10 games that season, so the probability was that he would continue that streak of success in finding the end zone. As a result, bettors would have to risk more than they could potentially earn if they bet on him scoring.

The negative Moneyline tells how much you’d have to wager in order to win $100. So bettors would have to put down $185 to have the chance to win $100 on Henry scoring.

A positive Moneyline means that the event is not believed to be likely to happen.

For example, in that same week of the season, Derrick Henry had odds of +430 in the First Touchdown prop market.

While he was likely to score at some point in the game, the probability of him being the first to score is much lower. Someone on the other team might score first, or a teammate may have a big play early in the game.

So you can win more than you risk on that bet. The Moneyline says how much you’ll win on a $100 bet. A $100 bet on Henry being first to score would pay $430.

NFL Team Props

Team props allow you to bet on the performance of one (or both) teams in an NFL game. Some examples of team props include betting on which team scores first or last, what type of score (touchdown, field goal, other) the first (or last) score will be, and which team will do better in various statistical categories.

You can bet on game totals (both teams’ performances added together) for points scored, passing yards, pass attempts and more, or on an individual team’s performance in those categories.

First to Do It
