Instead, the switch-hitting outfielder has hit a .103 ISO and wOBA of .238 with 37.5% of strikeouts against his last 32 righties. Ultimately, he’ll have to take on one of the MLB’s best starting pitchers in Spencer Strider.
Strider hasn’t been electric since coming back from injury. However, he’s still held his last 46 lefties to a .293 wOBA with close to 24% of strikeouts.
Additionally, Strider has limited his last 46 batters to 21.4% of line drives and has induced more than 46% of ground balls.
Meanwhile, Perkins has hit just 17.6% of lined drives and below 30% of hard contact against righties in the last month. He’s also added just a 5.9% barrel percentage against righties and will take on Strider, who has allowed just a .192 BABIP to his last 46 lefties this season.
I’ll fade Perkins with the AI Model and take his under .5 hits in tonight’s ball game.

Cal Raleigh is the best power hitter in the game. Yet, against righties, over the last 30 days, he’s earned a BABIP of .147, thanks to 10.3% of line drives during that time.
Beyond his lack of line drives, Raleigh has struck out over 28% of the time against righties in the last month.
Tonight, he’ll battle Jonathan Cannon, a righty, who has limited 208 lefties to only 23.4% of line drives. Cannon doesn’t give up many line drives to begin with. Ultimately, that will check out against Raleigh.

San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Our AI Model predicts Anthony DeSclafani will allow 4.499 hits in tonight’s game for the Diamondbacks. However, his prop is stuck at 5.5, with the under at -110. The No. 5 starter is expected to pitch well, according to our AI Model.

Anthony DeSclafani was thrown into the bullpen earlier this year because the Diamondbacks had too many options at starting pitcher. However, after Merrill Kelly was traded at the deadline, DeSclafani got his chance to be a starter.
Now he’ll look to take advantage. Over the last 71 batters faced, DeSclafani has added 44.7% of grounders and has allowed just 17% of line drives. He’s also given up 7% of walks and has struck out over 21% of batters.
Additionally, he’ll battle a Padres lineup that hasn’t hit for power consistently against righties over the last month. The Padres are also aggressive at the plate and likely won’t get good counts to hit against DeSclafani.
