Max Homa has been seriously in the doldrums for over a year now, but his performance at the Masters was an eye-catching reminder of the class ball striker with silky putting skills.
There is no doubt that when a player has been under a cloud, it is often a step-by-step reconstruction of their confidence before they are once again able to compete at the top of the sport.
What’s never been in doubt is Homa’s class as a closer, because when an opportunity to win tournaments has presented itself over the years, he has been known to grab them with both hands and is one of the few players whose game improves for being in contention.
