The UFC is back home in Vegas this weekend, and we’re covering all your betting needs for a Sin City fight card stacked with top-ranked talent from top to bottom.
Let’s waste no more time and dive right into the most noteworthy betting picks for the UFC Vegas 108 preliminary card bouts.
Austin Bashi vs. John Yannis
UFC Vegas 108 Featherweight Preliminary Bout
Saturday, August 03, 2025 – 06:00 PM EDT at UFC Apex
Austin Bashi Fighter Preview
We’re all guilty of shooting down a prospect whenever their undefeated record is crushed, and this can be said for Austin Bashi, who was outworked by Christian Rodriguez in his UFC debut. It was, however, an incredibly tough debut opponent for the youngster, and with a drop down in competition, could we witness an outcome we all know he’s capable of?
- Bashi Pro Record: 13-1
- Bashi KO/TKO Wins: 3
- Bashi Submission Wins: 5
John Yannis Fighter Preview
John Yannis steps up to replace Francis Marshall, and much like Bashi faced last time out, it won’t be an easy debut fight for the 9-3 fighter that’s riding a 3-fight KO/TKO streak. We don’t have any data to gauge Yannis’ ceiling at this level, but with such a low level of opposition faced to date, Saturday’s prelim card opener might be the toughest fight of his career.
- Yannis Pro Record: 9-3
- Yannis KO/TKO Wins: 5
- Yannis Submission Wins: 0
Bashi vs. Yannis: Fight Tape Analysis
The UFC knows Bashi has the potential to become a long-term member of the roster, and that’s why they’ve pulled Yannis in from Fury FC on short notice. Call it a setup, a layup, or whatever. Still, this contest should give the 23-year-old prospect a much greater opportunity to display his skill level in comparison to the difficult matchmaking he faced last time out.
Behind a stocky physique, Bashi holds an excellent takedown game and top control to go with it. His striking needs some work, but we shouldn’t expect this contest to stay on its feet long, and once it hits the mat, the favorite will have a huge advantage and ultimately give himself various opportunities to find a finish.
UFC Vegas 108 Preliminary Card Odds & Prediction
The UFC odds make Bashi the biggest favorite of the weekend, and that’s a tip of the hat to how good a prospect he is.
More intriguingly, Bashi was tearing through this level of opposition until Rodriguez stunted his run, and it’ll be no surprise to see him get straight back on this finishing horse. Whether he finds a moment to land damaging blows on the ground or he snatches a neck, I don’t envision Yannis surviving his short-notice debut in a fight where the UFC is ultimately propping up one of their prospects.
UFC Pick: Bashi & Under 2½ Rounds (+105) [1u returns 1.05u profit]
Felipe Bunes vs. Rafael Estevam
UFC Vegas 108 Flyweight Preliminary Bout
Saturday, August 03, 2025 – 06:00 PM EDT at UFC Apex
Felipe Bunes Fighter Preview
Is Felipe Bunes taking on a similar role to Yannis this weekend? First, the UFC handed him Andre Lima, who pulled out of the fight. Then, his replacement is the unbeaten 13-0 Rafael Estevam. That’s two serious prospects Bunes has been matched with, and while his 1-1 UFC record isn’t the worst, you can’t help but think he’s being placed in a ‘lamb to the slaughter’ position this weekend.
- Bunes Pro Record: 14-7
- Bunes KO/TKO Wins: 3
- Bunes Submission Wins: 9
Rafael Estevam Fighter Preview
Rafael Estevam obliterated his Dana White’s Contender Series opponent, Joao Elias, before running through both of his UFC opponents (Jesus Aguilar and Charles Johnson) to date. He was sidelined for the entirety of 2024, but returning to old winning ways earlier this year now gives the Nova Uniao prospect a chance to really put his name on the map should he manage to secure another dub.
- Estevam Pro Record: 13-0
- Estevam KO/TKO Wins: 4
- Estevam Submission Wins: 3
Bunes vs. Estevam: Fight Tape Analysis
When you evaluate Estevam, it’s easy to recognise his love for grappling. He’ll wrestle and BJJ his way to victory without question, and although a precise, technically sound striker may eventually cause him some issues, I don’t believe Bunes has the skillset to fit such a mould.
Bunes himself is no stranger to a jiu-jitsu tussle or two, but when it comes to the striking game, he just isn’t a big enough threat to cause Estevam much worry. There’s one elite skill set in this bout, and that’s Estevam’s grappling, which should be enough for him to dictate where the fight takes place and secure the dominant position to keep his unbeaten record intact eventually.
UFC Vegas 108 Preliminary Card Odds & Prediction
The UFC pricing with OddsTrader’s top sportsbooks makes Estevam a ridiculously large favorite, and I do believe that this betting line is quite wide. With that said, he is the rightful favorite and should easily grapple his way to victory.
To boost our odds in this spot, take Estevam to win and the over 2½ rounds. Bunes won’t be able to match the grappling onslaught, but he’s no pushover, and that’ll be enough for him to force this into the judges’ hands.
UFC Pick: Estevam & Over 2½ Rounds (-120) [1.2u returns 1u profit]
