Keep up with the latest injuries from the L.A. Clippers vs Rockets game on Thursday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 8, 2025
Plays well again in loss
Holiday closed with 19 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal over 27 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Holiday continues to trend up for the Rockets and is seemingly pulling ahead of Reed Sheppard in the backcourt, at least in terms of minutes. Over his last four games, Holiday is seeing 26.4 minutes per game compared to 23.1 for Sheppard. In that span, he's averaging 11.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.3 three-pointers.
Dec 2, 2025
Plays 33 minutes off bench
Holiday totaled 10 points (3-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes during Monday's 133-125 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Holiday led all bench players in minutes by a wide margin, and has emerged as the team's backup point guard behind Amen Thompson. In his last eight games, Holiday is averaging 12.0 points, 1.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.6 threes on a 40.4 percent clip.
Nov 25, 2025
Pops for season-high 22 off bench
Holiday contributed 22 points (8-17 FG, 6-10 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and three steals over 27 minutes off the bench during Monday's 114-92 win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
With Kevin Durant (personal) away from the team, Holiday saw a bigger role from the second unit and set season highs in minutes, points, steals and made three-pointers. The 29-year-old guard has stepped into a regular spot in the Rockets' backcourt rotation in the second half of November, and over the last five games Holiday has averaged 12.2 points, 2.4 threes and 1.0 steals in 17.6 minutes a contest while shooting an impressive 50.0 percent (12-for-24) from beyond the arc.
Nov 19, 2025
Pops for 18 points
Holiday chipped in 18 points (5-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and one steal across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 114-104 win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday put up a season-high 18 points by finding his rhythm from beyond the arc, also setting his best mark of the year in made threes. He appears to slowly be earning more opportunities off the bench, as he's averaging 16.0 minutes in his last three appearances. Holiday could be worth a look for a slight boost in scoring production, though he's unlikely to contribute much in other categories.
Nov 17, 2025
Drops 10 off bench
Holiday closed Sunday's 117-113 overtime win over the Magic with 10 points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one rebound in 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday saw a season-high in minutes Sunday, likely due to the fact that Houston ran just an eight-man rotation against the Magic. While it is likely Holiday will not be on the court consistently, it is encouraging to see him take advantage of the opportunity when his name is called, scoring in double-digits in consecutive contests.
Nov 4, 2025
Drops six in win
Holiday closed Monday's 110-102 win over Dallas with six points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist in 10 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After not playing in three of Houston's first four games, Holiday saw the court for 10 minutes Monday, likely as a result of Jabari Smith's (ankle) absence. If Smith continues to miss time, Holiday's number will likely be called again.
Oct 22, 2025
Didn't play season opener
Holiday was not in the rotation for the regular-season opener against the Thunder on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was one of the notable players who didn't see the floor during Tuesday's matchup against Oklahoma City. It remains uncertain why he didn't play and what role he'll have on the team this season.
Oct 21, 2025
Bench role Tuesday
Holiday will come off the bench during Tuesday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will start the 2025-26 campaign in the second unit. Houston will run with its expected starters, featuring Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith, Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams in the first five.
Oct 17, 2025
Plays well in start
Holiday recorded 16 points (5-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes of Thursday's 133-115 preseason win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
The Rockets sat multiple regulars Thursday, allowing Holiday to draw the start next to Reed Sheppard in the backcourt. Houston's starting lineup is not set in stone yet, and it's unclear if Sheppard will start at point guard or if the team will roll with a bigger lineup. That decision could have an impact on Holiday's role this season as he's directly behind Sheppard at the moment.
Jun 30, 2025
Sticking in Houston
Holiday agreed to a one-year, $3.63 million contract with the Rockets on Monday, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Holiday will remain with the Rockets for the 2025-26 campaign, returning on a one-year veteran's minimum deal. With Jalen Green out of the picture following the Kevin Durant trade, Holiday should be one of Houston's top guards off the bench.
Jun 27, 2025
Expected to remain in Houston
The Rockets intend to bring back Holiday on a new deal, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday played in 62 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from beyond the arc. Houston has been aggressive in its attempt to be a legitimate title contender next season, with the team bringing in Kevin Durant. Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks were traded to the Suns as part of the deal, which could result in Holiday playing a more significant role in Houston during the 2025-26 campaign.
Apr 10, 2025
Provides spark off bench
Holiday finished Wednesday's 134-117 loss to the Clippers with 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists in 20 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Due to Houston's typical starters either sitting out or playing limited minutes in Wednesday's contest, Holiday received an increased role against the Clippers. The 28-year-old guard capitalized on this extended playing time by scoring his most points in a game since March 8. With the Rockets already locked into the second seed in the Western Conference, Holiday could continue to receive increased run in the final two games of the regular season.
Mar 31, 2025
Sees 21 minutes
Holiday notched 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block in 21 minutes during Sunday's 148-109 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Dillon Brooks was ejected after 11 minutes, while Tari Eason was rested on the front end of this back-to-back set. That resulted in Holiday seeing a larger workload than usual. Across 13 March appearances, Holiday has been effective in limited run with 7.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 13.3 minutes.
Mar 9, 2025
Impressive performance Saturday
Holiday notched 20 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes during Saturday's 146-117 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Holiday amassed at least 20 points for just the second time this season, helping the Rockets to a comfortable victory. While it has been a modest season for the veteran, things could be about to change if Amen Thompson's ankle injury proves to be significant. Both Thompson and Fred VanVleet (ankle) could miss at least a handful of games, making Holiday a prime candidate to step into the starting lineup.
Mar 4, 2025
Scores efficiently in loss
Holiday scored 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt) and added two assists and one rebound in 19 minutes in Monday's 137-128 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was shooting lights out Monday, converting on a season-high four three-pointers. The 28-year-old has primarily served as the backup point guard to Fred VanVleet, who's dealing with a nagging ankle injury. In his last eight games, Holiday is averaging 8.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.6 minutes per game.
Feb 21, 2025
Bench role against Minnesota
Holiday will come off the bench Friday against the Timberwolves, Jackson Gatlin of Locked On Rockets reports.
ANALYSIS
After starting in Houston's loss to the Warriors ahead of the All-Star break, Holiday will come off the bench Friday against the Timberwolves. In 36 games in a bench role for the Rockets, the 28-year-old guard averaged 4.3 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Tari Eason will get the start against Minnesota.
Feb 14, 2025
Pops for team-high 25 in loss
Holiday recorded 25 points (10-20 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Thursday's 105-98 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old guard led Houston in scoring on the night while setting new season highs in minutes, points and boards. Holiday got the start Thursday for the second time in the last three games, but he didn't see the court at all in Wednesday's contest, and his recent spike in playing time has come while Fred VanVleet (ankle) has been sidelined. With VanVleet potentially set to return after the All-Star break, Holiday figures to move back into a depth backcourt role.
Feb 13, 2025
Getting run with starters
Holiday will start Thursday's game against the Warriors, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday fell out of the team's rotation Wednesday against Phoenix, but he's guaranteed to see more playing time Thursday after he was announced in the starting lineup. The UCLA product also made a start Sunday, finishing with six points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 27 minutes.
Feb 12, 2025
Reverts to second unit against Suns
Holiday is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Suns, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rockets are placing Tari Eason in the starting lineup over Holiday to give them more size against a towering Suns frontcourt. The veteran guard has averaged 4.3 points, 1.1 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 0.4 steals in 11.1 minutes over 36 games off the bench this season.
Feb 9, 2025
Starting sans Eason
Holiday will start in Sunday's game against the Raptors, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old guard will receive the starting nod with Tari Eason (lower leg) sidelined. Holiday has averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 assists across 12.8 minutes per game in his last five appearances (one start).
Feb 6, 2025
Back to bench Thursday
Holiday will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Timberwolves, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After starting in Tuesday's loss to Brooklyn, Holiday will revert back to his usual role off Houston's bench Thursday in the return of Tari Eason (rest). Through 35 games from the Rockets' second unit this season, Holiday has averaged 4.3 points, 1.1 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 0.9 threes in 11.3 minutes.
Feb 4, 2025
Starting against Nets
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After scoring a season-high 15 points off Houston's bench in Monday's loss to New York, Holiday gets the nod in the starting lineup for the first time this season Tuesday, supplanting Jae'Sean Tate in the first unit. Over his last six appearances for the Rockets, Holiday has averaged 6.8 points, 1.2 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 1.5 threes in 15.2 minutes, but he's in line for an uptick in playing time against Brooklyn.
Feb 3, 2025
Leads from deep in best outing
Holiday recorded 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt) and two rebounds over 17 minutes in Monday's 124-118 loss to New York.
ANALYSIS
Holiday lit it up from deep Monday en route to his best performance of the season, leading all Rockets in threes made while finishing as one of four players with 15 or more points in a losing effort. Holiday set a new season high in scoring while matching a season-best mark from three, having surpassed the double-digit point total in five outings.
Jan 28, 2025
Plays 15 minutes
Holiday ended Monday's 114-112 victory over the Celtics with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one assist over 15 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday saw a handful rotation minutes with Cam Whitmore sidelined by an illness. He has 11 appearances to his name in January, posting averages of 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 three-pointers in 14.0 minutes.
Dec 15, 2024
Fails to score in loss
Holiday posted zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in five minutes during Saturday's 111-96 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Holiday continues to play a limited role off the bench, failing to score in five minutes of action. Although he has now suited up in five straight games, Holiday has struggled to make the most of his opportunities. During that time he has delivered averages of just 4.4 points and 1.2 assists in 10.9 minutes per game.
Nov 20, 2024
Limited again Wednesday
Holiday provided two points (1-2 FG) and three rebounds in eight minutes during Wednesday's 130-113 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday continues to play a limited role off the bench, having appeared in only nine games all season. In those games, he is averaging 4.0 points and 1.3 assists in 9.0 minutes, well below what might be considered positive contributions.
Jul 1, 2024
Staying with Houston
Holiday and the Rockets agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was one of the most coveted backup point guards on the market for contenders, so the Rockets will be thrilled to retain his services. In 78 appearances last season, Holiday averaged 6.6 points, 1.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 three-pointers in 16.3 minutes.
Apr 1, 2024
Impresses off bench
Holiday amassed 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 23 minutes during Sunday's 125-107 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
This was arguably Holiday's best performance in March. He's been playing sporadic minutes with the second unit, averaging 5.5 points, 1.9 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 three-pointers in 13.4 minutes in March.
Mar 20, 2024
Sees 21 minutes
Holiday finished Tuesday's 137-114 win over the Wizards with seven points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, one block and two steals in 21 minutes.
ANALYSIS
This was Holiday's largest workload since Feb. 14. He's had a quiet March so far, averaging 3.2 points and 1.7 assists in 10.6 minutes through nine appearances.
Feb 15, 2024
Productive off bench Wednesday
Holiday finished with 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 121-113 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old saw an increased role in the Rockets' backcourt once again with Fred VanVleet (thigh) sidelined, and Holiday produced his best scoring effort since he dropped 22 on the Thunder back on Dec. 6. He's scored in double digits in four straight games, his longest streak of the season, and Holiday is averaging 16.8 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 threes and 2.3 boards during that stretch while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent (12-for-27) from beyond the arc. His run of fantasy relevance should come to an end once VanVleet is ready to return, however.
Feb 13, 2024
Busy scoring night
Holiday produced 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 26 minutes during Monday's 105-103 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Holiday and Amen Thompson (eight points, 4-5 FG, 13 rebounds, five assists) coexisted nicely Monday, with Holiday absorbing the offensive volume between the duo. In games when Holiday plays at least 25 minutes this season, he's averaging 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
Feb 10, 2024
Scores in double digits Friday
Holiday totaled 12 points (5-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Friday's 107-104 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The Rockets didn't have their best offensive showing Friday, but Holiday was one of several role players who stepped their game up off the bench. The lack of consistency is not surprising given the nature of his second-unit role, but under that same context, it's worth noting Holiday has scored in double digits in four of his last nine appearances.
Jan 27, 2024
Rotational role Saturday
Holiday ended with six points (3-6 FG), three rebounds and one assist over 18 minutes during Saturday's 106-104 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday wasn't overly incorporated into the action Saturday, with Cam Whitmore's shooting and Amen Thompson's defense providing more utility for coach Ime Udoka. Holiday best profiles as a streaming candidate when the Rockets' backcourt is shorthanded.
Jan 5, 2024
Unproductive in loss
Holiday contributed five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 19 minutes during Friday's 122-95 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Holiday failed to reach any great heights in the loss despite playing at least 15 minutes for the ninth time in the past 10 games. He has scored a combined 12 points across the last four games, adding 12 assists and two steals. Outside of the deepest formats, Holiday is not someone who should be viewed as a viable fantasy target.
Dec 21, 2023
Logs 26 mimutes in loss
Holiday logged eight points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and two rebounds across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 134-127 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Holiday played more than 20 minutes for just the seventh time this season, sticking on the floor to close the game. Although the playing time is encouraging, he failed to make the most of his opportunity, at least from a production standpoint. Outside of being an occasional streaming option, Holiday has very little fantasy value.
Dec 7, 2023
Drops season-high 22 points
Holiday accumulated 22 points (8-13 FG, 6-7 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 110-101 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Holiday exploded off the bench, torching the Thunder for a season-high 22 points in 27 minutes. While this was certainly a fantastic performance, managers should not be fooled. Before Wednesday, he had scored double-digits only three times all season. Outside of being a speculative stream option, Holiday has no sustainable fantasy value.
Dec 2, 2023
Moves back to bench
Holiday will move back to the bench Saturday against the Lakers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will move back to the bench with Fred VanVleet returning to the starting unit Saturday. Holiday is averaging 5.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game when deployed off the bench this season.
Nov 29, 2023
Starting sans VanVleet
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Nuggets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will replace VanVleet (thumb) in the starting five Wednesday. Holiday will make his first starting appearance this season and will likely be relied upon to play extended minutes with Amen Thompson (ankle) still out as well.
Nov 29, 2023
Plays well with second unit
Holiday closed Tuesday's 121-115 loss to the Mavericks with eight points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists across 21 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has been a significant part of Houston's second unit and has played really well in recent games. Over his last four outings, Holiday has averaged 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 20.2 minutes per contest.
Nov 21, 2023
Puts up 13 points
Holiday provided 13 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and four steals over 28 minutes during Monday's 121-116 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had the hot hand off the bench for Houston, matching his season-best mark of 13 points. Monday's workload was also his largest of the season, breaking a streak of four straight games with minutes in the teens. He's worth keeping an eye on in case his role grows as a result of this strong performance.
Nov 2, 2023
Plays 11 minutes in win
Holiday ended Wednesday's 128-119 win over the Hornets with six points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 11 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday didn't see any playing time off the bench during Houston's last two games but played double-digit minutes for the first time this season Wednesday. Despite his slight uptick in playing time against Charlotte, he hasn't been a fantasy-relevant option to begin his time with the Rockets.
Jul 6, 2023
Inks deal with Houston
The Rockets signed Holiday to a one-year deal Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will join his fifth team in the last four seasons. In 2022-23, the 26-year-old guard averaged 3.9 points, 1.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 13.4 minutes across 63 games. Holiday will likely be a depth piece in Houston's backcourt.
Apr 11, 2023
Returns to bench role
Holiday isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trae Young will replace Holiday in the starting five Tuesday after resting in the regular-season finale. Holiday may not receive significant playing time against Miami, as he has played fewer than five minutes in four of his last five appearances coming off the bench.
Apr 9, 2023
Starting Sunday
Holiday will start Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Celtics, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday gets a look at point guard with both Trae Young and Dejounte Murray resting for the contest, giving him some additional fantasy value Sunday. His role should retreat to normal Tuesday in the Play-In Tournament.
Apr 6, 2023
Offers steals impact off bench
Holiday compiled eight points (2-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, three steals, one rebound and one block in 21 minutes in Wednesday's 134-116 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
With Bogdan Bogdanovic (rest) joining De'Andre Hunter (knee) on the sideline for Wednesday's contest, Holiday was able to claim a heightened role in the rotation after being limited to just two minutes in Tuesday's 123-105 win over Chicago. The 41-39 Hawks currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and are unlikely to supplant the 42-37 Heat for the top position in the Play-In Tournament, so head coach Quin Snyder could elect to dole out rest to players such as Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Bogdanovic and Hunter over the final two games of the regular season. If that's the case, Holiday may be able to maintain a 20-plus-minute role, but he typically hasn't been a reliable producer even on the rare occasions he's received extended playing time this season.
Mar 23, 2023
Dishes seven dimes in loss
Holiday closed Wednesday's 125-124 loss to the Timberwolves with four points (2-5 FG), two rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday's seven assists and four steals were both season-highs. However, the 26-year-old guard is averaging only 6.6 minutes across his last 10 appearances, which severely limits his fantasy value.
Feb 11, 2023
Available Saturday
Holiday (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Holiday will be available after missing time with an illness. He's not expected to have a fantasy-relevant role.
Feb 11, 2023
Upgraded to probable
Holiday (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Holiday should be available after missing the past two games. However, his role has been reduced lately, and over his past nine appearances, he's averaged just 3.2 points in 9.4 minutes.
Feb 10, 2023
Questionable against San Antonio
Holiday (illness) is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Spurs, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday could miss his third straight game Thursday due to an undisclosed injury. If he's ultimately ruled out, his next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Charlotte.
Feb 9, 2023
Ruled out Thursday
Holiday (illness) is out Thursday against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The reserve guard is a late scratch due to an illness. His role has been reduced as of late, so his absence won't affect Atlanta's rotation much. Still, Trent Forrest could see some more action.
Feb 9, 2023
Questionable Thursday
Holiday is questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns due to a non-COVID illness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday wasn't on the Hawks' initial injury report for Thursday's matchup, but he's dealing with an illness a few hours before tipoff. The 26-year-old has been a DNP-CD in two of the last three matchups, so his status shouldn't significantly impact Atlanta's rotation.
Feb 1, 2023
Shifts back to bench
Holiday will return to the second unit for Wednesday's game against the Suns, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday saw a spot start Monday in place of Trae Young (ankle), but with Young back in action he will rejoin the reserves. Holiday has not cleared 15 minutes of action since Jan. 14.
Jan 30, 2023
Starting Monday
Holiday is starting Monday's contest against the Trail Blazers, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will slide into Atlanta's starting lineup with Trae Young ruled out due to an ankle injury. This will mark the UCLA product's fifth start of the season. Across his four previous starts, Holiday is averaging 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals over 22.8 minutes per game.
Jan 29, 2023
Only three minutes in loss
Holiday racked up five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over three minutes during Saturday's 120-113 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday remains on the outer in terms of role and responsibility, logging just three minutes in the loss. Having scored double-digits only six times this season, Holiday is merely a depth piece for the Hawks, offering nothing in the way of meaningful fantasy value.
Jan 22, 2023
Invisible in 15 minutes Saturday
Holiday notched three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one assist, one block and one steal over 15 minutes during Saturday's 122-118 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was barely visible during his 15 minutes on the floor, scoring just three points to go with very little else. Despite being in the rotation on most nights, Holiday's role is far too insignificant to warrant fantasy attention outside of the deepest formats.
Jan 13, 2023
Back to bench Friday
Holiday will come off the bench Friday at Indiana, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will return to a bench role with Trae Young (illness) back. In his past 10 games as a reserve, he's averaged 3.4 points and 1.2 assists in 10.2 minutes.
Jan 11, 2023
Gets starting nod
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Bucks, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will replace Trae Young (illness) in the starting five Wednesday. The 26-year-old guard is averaging 6.0 points, 3.0 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 25.7 minutes across his previous three starts.
Dec 30, 2022
Heads back to bench
Holiday will return to the bench for Friday's game against the Lakers, Brad Rowland Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Networkreports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday received a spot start last time out with Trae Young sidelined due to a quad injury. However, with Young back in the lineup, Holiday will rejoin the second unit.
Dec 29, 2022
Modest effort in Wednesday's loss
Holiday closed Wednesday's 108-107 loss to the Nets with 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday played 33 minutes as a starter Wednesday, sliding in to replace the injured Trae Young (quad). Despite the gaudy playing time, Holiday provided nothing more than a mediocre fantasy line, something he has a knack for doing. He may have some limited streaming appeal if Young misses further time but as we saw here, even that is possibly stretching the friendship.
Dec 28, 2022
Starting Wednesday
Holiday is in the starting lineup Wednesday against Brooklyn, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday is making his third start of the season with Trae Young (calf) ruled out. In two previous starts, the UCLA product averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 assists.
Dec 12, 2022
Posts season-high 15 points
Holiday supplied 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists and four steals in 29 minutes during Monday's 128-103 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had plenty of opportunities Monday with Trae Young (back), Dejounte Murray (ankle) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) all out, and he came through with his best scoring performance of the 2022-23 season. The UCLA product got off to a slow start with one point in the first quarter, but he shot 3-for-6 from the field in the second period and put up seven points in the second half to finish second on his team in scoring. Holiday has scored in double figures in four of 25 matchups so far this year.
Dec 11, 2022
Coming off bench Sunday
Holiday isn't starting Sunday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Holiday started in place of Dejounte Murray (ankle) during Friday's loss to Brooklyn and tallied four points, three steals, two rebounds and an assist in 19 minutes. Although Murray remains out Sunday, Trent Forrest will make his first start of the season.
Dec 9, 2022
Starting Friday
Holiday will enter the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nets, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will enter the starting five in place of Dejounte Murray (ankle) Friday after seeing a season-high 30 minutes in the team's most recent contest. He is joined by Trae Young, AJ Griffin, Jalen Johnson and Clint Capela in the starting lineup and warrants some streaming intrigue for as long as the Hawks remain injury plague.
Nov 9, 2022
Moves to bench
Holiday will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
With Trae Young (shin) rejoining Atlanta's starting five, Holiday will shift back to a reserve role Wednesday. Holiday is averaging 5.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game this season.
Nov 7, 2022
Enters starting five
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Bucks, Brad Rowland of Locked on Hawks reports.
ANALYSIS
Aaron Holiday will slot into the starting lineup at shooting guard and Dejounte Murray will draw the start at point guard with Trae Young (shin) ruled out for Monday's matchup. This marks Holiday's first start of the 2022-23 campaign. He's averaging 5.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists over nine matchups so far this season.
Oct 29, 2022
Efficient performance off bench
Holiday closed with 14 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 28 minutes during Friday's 136-112 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Holiday only missed one shot throughout the entire contest and provided a nice boost off the bench for the Hawks in this comfortable win. However, he's not going to take the starting job away from either Trae Young or Dejounte Murray any time soon, so he'll remain a bench option for the foreseeable future. In other words, he's not going to be very reliable in fantasy since his upside will be capped by his limited role.
Oct 27, 2022
Limited opportunity Wednesday
Holiday closed with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one block over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 118-113 victory over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Holiday managed double-digit scoring in the win, something that is an achievement in itself given his limited playing time thus far this season. While has has had brief moments of relevance throughout his career, it is hard to see him being anything more than a depth piece, wherever he finds himself. For now, he should really only be considered in deep forats.
Oct 15, 2022
Returns to court
Holiday (personal) recorded two points (1-1 FG), one assist and two steals across just four minutes in Friday's 120-111 exhibition loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Holiday returned from a personal absence for this contest and appears ready to go to start the season. The guard is not expected to see a spot in Atlanta's rotation right away, but could eventually earn some minutes providing depth in the backcourt.
Oct 12, 2022
Away from team
Holiday (personal) is out for Wednesday's preseason game versus the Cavaliers as he is not with the team, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday is expecting a child and is therefore not with the team Wednesday. His status for Friday's preseason game versus the Pelicans is uncertain, but he should not miss any regular season action.
Oct 8, 2022
Offers little in starting role
Holiday tallied just five points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal in 18 minutes during Saturday's preseason victory over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
With Dejounte Murray given the night off due to back spasms, Holiday slid into the starting lineup but failed to make the most of his opportunity. While he could very well be a regular part of the rotation, Holiday is well off the radar when it comes to fantasy leagues.
Oct 8, 2022
Starting Saturday
Holiday is listed as Atlanta's fifth starter for Saturday's preseason game versus the Bucks, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday is getting the start with Dejounte Murray (back spasms) out. The 26-year-old guard averaged 6.3 points, 2.4 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 16.2 minutes across 63 games for the Suns and Wizards last season. Once Murray returns, Holiday will likely return to his bench role.
Jul 1, 2022
Signs deal with Hawks
Holiday agreed to a one-year deal with the Hawks on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old spent time on both the Suns and Wizards last season but is now set to back up the likes of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray next season in Atlanta. While this signing helps give the Hawks even more depth at the point guard position, Holiday is not someone to actively target in fantasy leagues come next year.
Jun 29, 2022
Becomes unrestricted free agent
Holiday was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Suns on Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday spent the early portion of last season with the Wizards before being traded to the Suns in February. Overall, he averaged 6.3 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 16.2 minutes. The 25-year-old has proven to be a good three-point shooter (37.3 percent for his career) but hasn't had much of an opportunity to establish himself as a lead guard. It's possible that rebuilding teams will be interested in developing him more.
Apr 10, 2022
Starting Sunday
Holiday will start Sunday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
The Suns are resting several regulars, so Holiday will get the nod at one guard spot. He'll be joined by Landry Shamet, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson and JaVale McGee.
Apr 7, 2022
Fills stat sheet Wednesday
Holiday racked up 16 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 113-109 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday saw his most minutes in over two weeks with Phoenix resting many of its regulars, and he responded with a strong all-around effort that included his highest point tally since Dec. 23. The fourth-year guard added seven dimes and six boards for arguably his best all-around effort of the campaign. Holiday came into the game with four DNPs over his previous six games, so he doesn't figure to be a major factor in the postseason for the Suns.
Feb 27, 2022
Not listed on injury report
Holiday (ankle) is not listed on the Suns' injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with Utah, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday sat out Friday's matchup against the Pelicans due to right ankle soreness and was initially listed questionable for Sunday. The point guard should have an increased role with Cameron Payne (wrist) and Chris Paul (thumb) both sidelined.
Feb 26, 2022
Questionable Sunday
Holiday (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jazz, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday sat out Friday's matchup against the Pelicans due to right ankle soreness, but he'll have a chance to return after a one-game absence. If he remains out, Elfrid Payton and Landry Shamet should see increased run once again.
Feb 25, 2022
Won't play Friday
Holiday has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Pelicans due to right knee soreness, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had an encouraging performance Thursday with Chris Paul (thumb) and Cameron Payne (wrist) sidelined, but he apparently picked up an ankle injury as well. All three of the aforementioned point guards will be sidelined for the second half of the Suns' back-to-back Friday, so Elfrid Payton and Landry Shamet should see increased run against New Orleans.
Feb 24, 2022
Encouraging performance Thursday
Holiday recorded 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Thursday's 124-104 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Holiday came off the bench in the victory, delivering a solid, yet unassuming performance. With Chris Paul sidelined due to a thumb injury, Holiday has a nice opportunity to prove what he can do for his new team. The impending return of Cameron Payne could put a pin in Holiday's upside but until that happens, he is at least worth a flier if you are seeking guard numbers.
Feb 17, 2022
Dishes six dimes in Wednesday's win
Holiday scored nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt) while adding six assists, three rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 124-121 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Chris Paul (hand) left the game in the third quarter, and as a result Holiday saw his biggest workload yet since joining the Suns a week ago. It's not yet clear if Paul's injury is serious -- he actually headed to the locker room after picking up a second technical foul -- but if the veteran point guard does miss additional time, Holiday could find himself in the starting five for Phoenix.
Feb 10, 2022
Traded to Suns
Holiday was traded from the Wizards to the Suns on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had taken on a starting role for Washington recently since Bradley Beal (wrist) was sidelined, and he averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists in 21.8 minutes per game across that span. He had been on the fringes of the team's rotation leading up to his stint in the starting five, so it's not yet clear how much playing time he could see as he prepares to take on a depth role in the Suns' backcourt.
Feb 7, 2022
Leads starters with 14 points
Holiday contributed 14 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 28 minutes during Monday's 121-100 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Holiday continues to start for Bradley Beal (wrist), with the latter lacking a clear timetable for return. Monday marks a fair representation of Holiday's ceiling upon inheriting 20-30 minutes per night. Holiday logged 24.5 minutes per game across 66 contests for the Pacers' in 2019-20, averaging 9.5 points, 3.4 assists and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 39.4 percent from three.
Feb 5, 2022
Quiet in Saturday's start
Holiday scored 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding three assists, a rebound and a steal in 22 minutes during Saturday's 95-80 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal (wrist) still sidelined, Holiday got another start and while he didn't produce much, he was the only Wizards starter to even score in double digits in a game that saw Washington facing a 27-point deficit at halftime. It's the first time the 25-year-old has scored 10 or more points since Jan. 15, but with Beal still lacking a clear timetable for his return, Holiday should remain in the starting five in the short term.
Feb 1, 2022
Starting Tuesday
Holiday is starting Tuesday's game against the Bucks, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday gets the nod with Bradley Beal (wrist) sidelined. In 10 previous starts this season, he's averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25.6 minutes.
Jan 6, 2022
Available Friday
Holiday (COVID-19 protocols) is available for Friday's matchup against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has been out over the past five games. He could see increased run with multiple Wizards still sidelined, though Spencer Dinwiddie and Bradley Beal are both available. In December, Holiday averaged 8.2 points, 1.7 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 15.4 minutes.
Jan 5, 2022
Clears protocols, out Wednesday
Holiday has cleared the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols but remains out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday spent over a week away from the team due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, so he needs to work on his conditioning before returning to game action. His next chance to return will be Friday against Chicago.
Dec 27, 2021
Enters protocols
Holiday was placed in COVID-19 protocols Monday, Wizards insider Quinton Mayo reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday joins Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Raul Neto, Bradley Beal, Anthony Gill and Thomas Bryant in health and safety protocols, so the Wizards will be down another backcourt piece as they head into a three-game Week 11. Five of those six players have been ruled out of Tuesday's game at Miami, but there's hope that Beal will be cleared to return over the next 24 hours. Based on the NBA's updated quarantine procedures, Holiday could be cleared to return to the team after as few as six days.
Dec 24, 2021
Scores 16 in start
Holiday ended with 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists over 28 minutes during Thursday's 124-117 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in COVID-19 protocols, Holiday and Corey Kispert each entered the starting lineup for the Wizards. It was Holiday's ninth start of the season and one of his most productive outings, as he drilled four three-pointers and chipped in some rebound and assists. When the Wizards are at full strength, Holiday isn't much of a fantasy consideration, but he makes for a lower-end streaming option while Beal and Caldwell-Pope are sidelined.
Dec 17, 2021
Starts, scores 11 points
Holiday finished Thursday's 118-98 loss to Phoenix with 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday moved into the starting lineup in the place of Spencer Dinwiddie (rest). He didn't do anything special with 11 points, though that total was second-best among Washington's starters. Holiday is averaging just 16.5 minutes per game on the campaign and simply doesn't produce enough to be on the fantasy radar.
Dec 16, 2021
Entering starting five
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Suns, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will enter the starting lineup for the eighth time this season with the Wizards opting to rest Spencer Dinwiddie for Thursday's contest. Holiday has played at least 20 minutes in all of his starts so far and figures to have a larger than usual volume upon his return to the first five.
Dec 14, 2021
Effective in 15 minutes
Holiday produced 18 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 15 minutes during Monday's 113-107 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday helped spark a late Wizards run, and he finished with his highest scoring and rebound total of the campaign. The veteran guard hasn't been getting much run of late -- he totaled just 15 minutes combined in his previous two games -- but Monday's spirited effort could earn him more playing time. Still, he is averaging just 8.4 points in the seven games he hast started this season, so he isn't likely to make a dramatic leap to fantasy relevance.
Dec 7, 2021
Pedestrian in start
Holiday supplied 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, five assists and three steals across 21 minutes during Monday's 116-110 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Starting in place of Spencer Dinwiddie (rest), Holiday scored efficiently, led the Wizards in assists and was active defensively. Still, he logged a minus-5 in the box score. Despite being just 25, Holiday is unlikely to become more than a back-up point guard.
Dec 6, 2021
Starting Monday
Holiday will start Monday's game against the Pacers, James Boyd of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will make his first start since Nov. 27 with Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) unavailable against Indiana. The 25-year-old has averaged 7.5 points in 15.0 minutes per game across his last two appearances.
Dec 6, 2021
To start for Dinwiddie
Holiday will start Monday's game against the Pacers, James Boyd of the Indy Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Dinwiddie will rest on the second half of a back-to-back set, so Holiday will move into the lineup at point guard to make his sixth start of the season. In those games, Holiday is averaging 8.0 points, 3.2 assists, 1.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 threes in 26.7 minutes per contest.
Dec 3, 2021
Officially available Friday
Holiday (illness) is available for Friday's game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Coach Wes Unseld said Friday that he expected Holiday to play against the Cavaliers, and he'll officially be back in action after missing Wednesday's game. Across his last four appearances, he's averaged 3.8 points in 15.3 minutes per contest.
Dec 3, 2021
Expected to play Friday
Holiday (illness) is expected to play Friday against the Cavaliers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday is managing a non-COVID illness and was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, but he took part in Washington's morning shoot around. As a result, it appears as though the 25-year-old will be back in action following a one-game absence.
Dec 3, 2021
Present for shootaround
Holiday (illness) took part in the Wizards' morning shootaround but remains listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards will presumably wait and see how Holiday checks out following shootaround, but the fact that he was in attendance for the workout bodes well for his chances of returning from a one-game absence to suit up Friday. Before sitting out Wednesday's 115-107 win over the Timberwolves, Holiday averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game over his last five outings.
Dec 2, 2021
Questionable vs. Cleveland
Holiday (illness) is questionable for Friday's matchup against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday sat out Wednesday due to the illness but could return Friday. Over his past five appearances, he's averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 15.6 minutes.
Dec 1, 2021
Out Wednesday
Holiday won't play Wednesday against the Timberwolves due to a non-COVID illness.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has carved out a nice role off Washington's bench this season, playing double-digit minutes in all but one game. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Corey Kispert will likely see increased minutes during Holiday's absence.
Nov 18, 2021
Starting at Miami
Holiday is starting against the Heat on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Rather than utilizing Raul Neto, the Wizards are starting Holiday in place of a resting Spencer Dinwiddie. The 28-year-old backup averaged 9.3 points and 2.8 assists across his previous four starts.
Nov 17, 2021
Returns to bench
Holiday will come off the bench Wednesday at Charlotte, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old made his second consecutive start Monday but will move back to the bench with Bradley Beal (personal) rejoining the lineup. Holiday has averaged 5.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 14.1 minutes when coming off the bench this season.
Nov 13, 2021
Starting for absent Beal
Holiday will start Saturday's matchup against the Magic, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal out for a personal matter, Holiday will make his third start of the year. In his prior two starts, he averaged 7.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 24.5 minutes.
Oct 30, 2021
Coming off bench Saturday
Holiday will come off the bench Saturday against the Celtics, freelance NBA reporter Quinton Mayo reports.
ANALYSIS
With Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) back in action, Holiday will return to his usual bench role. In three games as a reserve this season, he's averaged 6.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 16.7 minutes.
Oct 28, 2021
Starting vs. Atlanta
Holiday will start Thursday's game against the Hawks, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
With Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) sidelined, Holiday will join the starting five. In his previous start this season, he totaled seven points, two rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 25 minutes.
Oct 22, 2021
Starting Friday
Holiday is starting Friday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was held scoreless in 13 minutes off the bench during his Wizards debut Wednesday. However, he'll draw the start with Bradley Beal (groin) sidelined against Indiana.
Oct 5, 2021
Scores 17 in preseason opener
Holiday recorded 17 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 125-119 preseason loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was aggressive in finding his shot, and they were going down with efficiency. He has a shot at being the Wizards' first guard off the bench this season.
Jul 29, 2021
Dealt to Washington
Holiday was traded to the Wizards on Thursday in exchange for the No. 22 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards appeared poised to make the pick they acquired from the Lakers in the Russell Westbrook deal, but it was ultimately dealt to the Pacers, who will send back Holiday, as well as the No. 31 overall pick in the draft. A first-round pick in 2018, Holiday has been a regular contributor for the Pacers in each of the last three seasons, but he hasn't developed at the rate the team hoped. Holiday concluded last season with averages of 7.2 points (39.0% FG), 1.9 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 17.8 minutes.
May 18, 2021
Cleared to play Tuesday
Holiday (toe) is available for Tuesday's play-in game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old missed the final four games of the regular season with a sprained toe and was considered a game-time decision Tuesday, and he'll return to the court for the play-in contest. Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Edmond Sumner (knee) are also available, so Holiday should have a role off the bench for the Pacers.
May 18, 2021
Game-time call Tuesday
Holiday (toe) will be a game-time decision Tuesday against the Hornets, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday's availability will come down to the wire for Tuesday's win-or-go-home play-in game. Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) also remains questionable. If Brogdon is out and Holiday is in, the latter figures to see an uptick in playing time.
May 17, 2021
Questionable for play-in game
Holiday (toe) is questionable for Tuesday's play-in game against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old sat out the final four games of the season with a sprained toe, and his availability remains up in the air for Tuesday's contest. If available, Holiday's role could vary significantly depending on whether Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Edmond Sumner (knee) are cleared to play.
May 16, 2021
Ruled out Sunday
Holiday (toe) will not play Sunday against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will miss his fourth game in a row due to a sprained toe. Justin Holiday could see an increased workload Sunday with his brother sidelined.
May 16, 2021
Uncertain vs. Raptors
Holiday (toe) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Raptors, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has a chance to return Sunday after missing the last three games with a sprained toe. He has averaged 17.8 minutes per game so far this season.
May 15, 2021
Remains out
Holiday (toe) won't play Saturday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will miss a third straight game due to a sprained right toe. His next chance to play is the Pacers' second-to-final game of the regular season Sunday against the Raptors.
May 14, 2021
Questionable Saturday
Holiday (toe) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Lakers, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Holiday's status in question, the Pacers will be very thin in their backcourt. Expect Justin Holiday and possibly Cassius Stanley to see a lot of playing time Saturday.
May 13, 2021
Not playing Thursday
Holiday (toe) will not play Thursday against the Bucks, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will miss his second game in a row due to a right toe sprain. Justin Holiday should receive another start with his brother sidelined.
May 12, 2021
Questionable vs. Bucks
Holiday (toe) is questionable for Thursday's contest against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
A sprained toe caused Holiday to miss Tuesday's game against the 76ers, but he could be back in action Thursday. Across his past eight appearances, he's averaged 8.8 points, 4.0 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 24.1 minutes.
May 11, 2021
Scratched with sprained toe
Holiday will not play Tuesday against Philadelphia due to a sprained big toe on his right foot.
ANALYSIS
The injury was not listed on the initial report, but it will keep the guard sidelined as the Pacers play on the second half of a back-to-back. Aaron's brother, Justin, will get the starting nod at shooting guard Tuesday.
May 8, 2021
Shifts to bench
Holiday will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the 76ers, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
With Edmond Sumner rejoining the starting five, Holiday will shift back to a bench role after starting the previous two games. With Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Jeremy Lamb (knee) still out, Holiday should continue to see a fair amount of playing time as a reserve.
May 7, 2021
Scores 15 as starter
Holiday finished with 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, four rebounds and two steals across 31 minutes Thursday in a 133-126 victory over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
The third-year guard remained in the starting lineup in place of Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and notched his fourth game of double-digit scoring in his past five contests. Prior to the five-game stretch, Holiday had not exceeded eight points over his previous 10 games. That highlights the up-and-down nature of Holiday's season, during which he has averaged 7.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.0 three-pointers per contest.
May 5, 2021
Starting Wednesday
Holiday will start in Wednesday's game against the Kings, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
With Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Edmond Sumner (knee) ruled out, Holiday is set to make his first start since Jan. 9. The 24-year-old is averaging 7.2 points, 1.7 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game this season.
Apr 30, 2021
Packs stat sheet
Holiday scored 12 points (3-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go along with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block during Thursday's 130-113 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday filled in for Malcolm Brogdon, who suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday's contest. With Brogdon considered questionable for Saturday's game, expect Holiday to receive an abundance of playing time and possibly even a starting role if Brogdon is forced to sit. The 24-year-old is having an exceptional month given his standards, averaging 8.2 points, 1.6 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 steals.
Apr 9, 2021
Leads team with 20 points
Holiday registered 20 points (7-14 FG, 6-10 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot across 23 minutes in Friday's 111-106 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Despite Malcolm Brogdon's return to action, Holiday was still able to make a strong statement in 23 minutes of playing time. His six three-pointers marked a season-high for the UCLA product, who has beaten his seasonal scoring average for eight consecutive games.
Apr 8, 2021
Pops for 22 points in victory
Holiday collected 22 points (6-8 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three assists, one rebound and one block in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 141-137 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Holiday thrived off the bench, finishing with a team-high 22 points on some highly efficient shooting. Before getting too excited, there were a number of factors working in Holiday's favor in this one, the least of which was the obvious lack of defense. Malcolm Brogdon was also unavailable once again due to a hip injury and so there is no need to be running to grab Holiday outside of deeper leagues.
Apr 4, 2021
Accurate from floor in win
Holiday produced 18 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot across 22 minutes in Saturday's 139-133 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Thanks to a short-handed roster, Holiday saw his most minutes since the beginning of March in the overtime win. He's largely been a non-factor leading into April after an abysmal month where he averaged only 10.9 minutes per game over 12 contests. Holiday's decline is connected to Caris LeVert's arrival and recovery from injury. Barring an extended absence by players ahead of him on the depth chart, Holiday has minimal fantasy value.
Mar 23, 2021
Role on decline
Holiday has played fewer than 10 minutes in four of the Pacers' last six games, averaging 3.4 points and 1.6 assists over that stretch while shooting 25 percent from the field.
ANALYSIS
After being excluded from the rotation for the first time all season in a narrow three-point win Sunday over the Heat, Holiday was able to recapture a spot on the second unit Monday against the Bucks thanks to Malcolm Brogdon (back) being ruled out ahead of the contest. Despite getting 17 minutes in the Pacers' 140-113 loss, Holiday couldn't take advantage of the opportunity, going 0-for-7 from the field while chipping in only two rebounds and two steals. Once Brogdon is back in the fold, he and T.J. McConnell will likely serve as the Pacers' main options at point guard, while Caris LeVert, Jeremy Lamb and possibly even Edmond Sumner slot in ahead of Holiday at shooting guard.

Puts up 11 points, six assists
Holiday had 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six assists, three rebounds and a steal in Monday's loss to the Sixers.
ANALYSIS
The Pacers were without Jeremy Lamb (knee), and the game was out of reach by the start of the fourth quarter, so Holiday was able to see a slightly elevated workload (22 minutes) off the bench. He took only four shots but was able to work his way to the line five times, while chipping in his second-highest assists total of the season.
Feb 26, 2021
Productive in relief
Holiday posted 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt) and two steals over 18 minutes in Friday's 118-112 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has been quite inconsistent over the last five games. He's scored at least 15 points on three of those occasions, but he's been held to single figures in the scoring column in the other two contests. The third-year pro has had consistent playing time off the bench this year, but his results have been somewhat unpredictable.
Feb 14, 2021
Produces season-high 18 points
Holiday had 18 points (7-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes in Saturday's 125-113 win at Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Holiday's performance Saturday marked the first time he surpassed 17 points in a game since Jan. 10 last year. Holiday delivered a streak of bad outings in February by shooting 28.6 percent across his first six games of the month. He broke said streak Saturday by logging a 63.7 field-goal percentage.
Feb 7, 2021
Quiet off bench in loss
Holiday had four points (1-4 FG, 1-1 3PT, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists in Sunday's loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had a run in the starting lineup in early January, but he never capitalized on the opportunity and hasn't been fantasy-relevant since. Entering Sunday, Holiday was averaging just 8.2 points on 34.9 percent shooting over his last 10 contests.
Jan 31, 2021
Drops 17 in 17 minutes
Holiday had 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 3PT, 1-2 FT) off the bench in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
After a string of quiet performances, Holiday finally broke through with his highest-scoring game of the season. He's still not playing enough (19.3 MPG in last 10 games) to warrant an add in most fantasy leagues, however.
Jan 20, 2021
Plays in 26 minutes
Holiday tallied 14 points (5-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 124-112 loss to the Mavs.
ANALYSIS
While Holiday struggled shooting, it was a welcomed site for him to take 14 shot attempts after totaling only 11 over his last two games. Holiday hasn't done much this season, scoring in double-figures only three times and contributing more than three assists only once while playing behind Malcolm Brogdon and splitting time with T.J. McConnell.
Jan 13, 2021
Double-doubles off bench
Holiday had 16 points (6-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, two rebounds and two steals in Tuesday's 104-95 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Despite shifting back to the bench, the absence of Victor Oladipo (injury management) gave Holiday a great dose of heavy minutes (28). He recorded season highs in both points and assists, the latter being his highest tally since Nov. 18 two years ago. Holiday could be better off playing from the bench if able to lead like he did Tuesday.
Jan 12, 2021
Barely visible in bench role
Holiday came away with just four points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three steals and one assist in 14 minutes during Monday's 127-122 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Holiday ceded his starting spot to his brother, shifting to the bench and playing what ended up being a minimal role. Even with T.J. McConnell (personal) on the sidelines, Holiday was unable to make any sort of meaningful impact. There is a chance he is back in the starting lineup for the Pacers' game on Tuesday, especially if Victor Oladipo is given the night off.
Jan 11, 2021
Headed for bench role
Holiday isn't starting Monday against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has struggled mightily in his last four contests, averaging just 3.3 points, 1.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 24.8 minutes. His brother, Justin Holiday, will replace him in the starting five.
Jan 9, 2021
Continues poor form in loss
Holiday recorded seven points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3PT), one rebound and one assist in 25 minutes in the 125-117 loss to Phoenix on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was given another start and once again struggled with the additional minutes in the loss Saturday. The guard has truly been out of touch with his shooting abilities and that is when he is given the chance. Holiday has 17 total attempts in his last two games and has collectively gone 35 percent during that time. Until he can produce with the given minutes, he is not viable.
Jan 3, 2021
Struggles from field in loss
Holiday went scoreless (0-6 FG, 0-5 3Pt) while grabbing two rebounds, an assist and a block in 26 minutes during Saturday's loss against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was coming off a 12-point performance against the Cavaliers on Dec. 31, but his shot went ice cold against the Knicks and missed all of his attempts from the field, including five from beyond the arc. He will probably remain in the starting lineup due to T.J. Warren's foot injury, but he must turn things around quickly if he wants to have any sort of upside moving forward.
Dec 31, 2020
Could be set for increased role
With TJ Warren (foot) out indefinitely, Holiday appears to be in line for an increased role.
ANALYSIS
Holiday started Thursday's game against the Pacers, though he only played 22 minutes between foul trouble and a blowout win. That workload should increase when the Pacers are in more competitive games. His upside remains capped given the presence of Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon and Victor Oladipo, but Holiday makes for an intriguing fantasy option in deeper leagues. The Pacers play one more game this week Saturday against the Knicks, so we may learn more about his potential role before most leagues' waiver claims are due.
Dec 31, 2020
Starting with Warren out
Holiday will start Thursday's game against the Pacers, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
With TJ Warren (foot) sidelined, Holiday will join the starting five. In 35 starts last season, he averaged 11.4 points, 4.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 29.8 minutes, though a decent chunk of those appearances were without Malcolm Brogdon and/or Victor Oladipo. He may not need to have that kind of usage and workload this time around.
Dec 29, 2020
Returns to bench role
Holiday is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old had six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three steals, two rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes in a spot start Sunday, but Victor Oladipo (rest) will rejoin the starting five Tuesday. Holiday averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 18.0 minutes off the bench in the first two games of the season.
Dec 28, 2020
Racks up three steals in spot start
Holiday managed six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three steals, two rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes during Sunday's 108-107 victory over Boston.
ANALYSIS
Holiday moved into the starting lineup after Victor Oladipo (rest) was given the night off. Despite the promotion, Holiday was unable to make the most of his opportunity. He did manage to accumulate three steals, something that salvaged an otherwise underwhelming night. Oladipo will return for the Pacers' next game, likely sending Holiday back to the bench.
Dec 27, 2020
Starting Sunday
Holiday will start Sunday's game against Boston, Tony Easy of Forbes Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
With Victor Oladipo (rest) taking the night off, Holiday will move into the lineup at shooting guard. The UCLA product is coming off of a six-point, two-rebound, two-assist, three-steal effort off the bench Saturday versus Chicago.
Dec 14, 2020
Drains four threes
Holiday scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 3PT) to go along with three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during the Pacers' preseason loss to the Cavaliers on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Holiday remained in the starting lineup with T.J. Warren (foot) sidelined. He turned in a much better performance in the team's second preseason contest, connecting four times from beyond the arc. While likely due to unavailability to Warren and Myles Turner (illness), the Pacers have gone with a three-guard starting lineup in each of their first two preseason games to the benefit of Holiday.
Dec 12, 2020
Starting with Warren out
Holiday is starting Saturday's preseason opener against the Cavaliers with T.J. Warren (foot) sidelined, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
New head coach Nate Bjorkgren is going with a three-guard lineup to start things off, which is certainly a contract from the two bigs also in the starting five with Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner. In 35 starts last season, Holiday averaged 11.4 points, 4.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 29.8 minutes.
Aug 22, 2020
Coming off bench for Game 3
Holiday will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 3 against the Heat, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday is being moved to the bench, with his brother, Justin, getting the nod. In the 33 contests Aaron has come off the bench, he's averaging 7.6 points, 2.1 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 18.5 minutes.
Aug 14, 2020
Not in starting five
Holiday is not in the starting five for Friday's game against the Heat, Scott Agness of VigilantSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday isn't listed as out, so it's possible he'll be asked to run the second unit for the short-handed Pacers. Either way, it's possible he'll play fewer minutes than usual in the team's seeding game finale.
Aug 7, 2020
Slows down in loss
Holiday managed just nine points (3-6 FG, 3-4 FT), four assists and three rebounds in 37 minutes during Thursday's 114-99 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Holiday remained in the starting lineup for the Pacers but was unable to continue his run of double-digit scoring. With Domantas Sabonis (plantar fasciitis) still away from the team, Holiday should continue to log meaningful minutes and is worth a look in most leagues if you need cheap guard numbers.
Aug 4, 2020
Contributes 17 points to win
Holiday tallied 17 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in Monday's 111-100 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
A game after turning in a double-double, Holiday had his best shooting effort since January 26. The 23-year-old has scored at least 15 points in each of the two games since the NBA resumed play. He'll look to keep up the hot streak Tuesday against the Magic.
Jul 27, 2020
Set for starting role
Coach Nate McMillan indicated Monday that he plans to start Holiday when seeding games begin, J. Michael of the Indy Star reports.
ANALYSIS
McMillan revealed his projected lineup of Holiday, Malcolm Brogdon, Victor Oladipo, T.J. Warren and Myles Turner, which implies that: 1. The Pacers expect Oladipo to play; and, 2. McMillan does not expect Domantas Sabonis (foot) to be available. Assuming that's the case, the Pacers look to be favoring a smaller lineup featuring three guards, with Warren starting at the nominal power forward spot.
Jul 23, 2020
13 points in scrimmage
Holiday posted 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and one steal across 17 minutes during Thursday's 91-88 scrimmage victory over the Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Holiday was solid during his first taste of competitive action since the season's shutdown in March. With Victor Oladipo's (knee) status for the restart still unclear, Holiday could be vaulted into a bigger role come the seeding games. When he saw at least 24 minutes during the regular season, he averaged 12.4 points on 10.5 shots, 4.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals.
Mar 3, 2020
Flops in spot start
Holiday started at shooting guard in Monday's 116-111 win over the Spurs, finishing with six points (2-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Holiday moved up to the top unit in place of the VIctor Oladipo (knee) but saw limited usage while backcourt partner Malcolm Brogdon (26 points, seven assists) took on the overwhelming share of play-making and scoring responsibilities. Oladipo could be at risk of missing another game Wednesday in Milwaukee, but Holiday wouldn't represent an appealing streaming option if Oladipo sits again.
Mar 2, 2020
Back in starting lineup
Holiday will get the start at shooting guard in Monday's matchup with the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will replace Victor Oladipo (knee) in the starting lineup. The second-year guard has averaged 13.1 points and 5.3 assists across 29.3 minutes in 21 starts this season.
Feb 28, 2020
Back to the bench Thursday
Holiday managed just six points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 14 minutes during Thursday's 106-100 victory over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Holiday shifted back to the bench with Victor Oladipo returning to action. The move basically renders Holiday a drop in all competitive formats. Given the fact the Pacers' backcourt has been banged up all season, there is certainly scope for Holiday to re-emerge as a 12-team asset at some point. However, until then, he can be returned to the waiver wire.
Feb 25, 2020
Remains a starter
Holiday posted nine points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and a block in 30 minutes during the Pacer's 119-80 Tuesday night win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Despite the quiet performance, the Pacers are now 28-15 when Holiday plays over 15 minutes. Victor Oladipo (sore back) is still on the mend and wasn't playing when Jeremy Lamb tore his ACL on Sunday, so fantasy players have yet to truly see how large of a workload Holiday will possess in the Indianapolis backcourt down the stretch. He has averaged 11.3 points per game in the contests in which he sees 15-plus minutes.
Feb 25, 2020
Starting Tuesday
Holiday is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup against Charlotte, Jeremiah Johnson of Fox Sports Indiana reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will make his second straight start, as the depleted Pacers squad will be without Victor Oladipo (back), Jeremy Lamb (knee) who is out for the season, and Edmond Sumner (hip). In 20 previous starts, Holiday averaged 13.3 points, 5.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds while playing 29.3 minutes of action.
Feb 24, 2020
Set for bigger role
Holiday is in position to inherit some of the minutes vacated by Jeremy Lamb (knee), who will not return this season, J. Michael of the Indy Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The Pacers received bad news Monday when it was learned that Lamb suffered a severe knee injury over the weekend. With the veteran guard sidelined for the next several months, Holiday will be in position for a larger workload -- perhaps as the first or second guard off the bench. Holiday's role has fluctuated this season, but his minutes were slashed and he was virtually removed from the regular rotation when Victor Oladipo returned from his lengthy injury absence. Now, Holiday should find himself back in the mix on a nightly basis, as Lamb leaves behind roughly 25 minutes per game in the backcourt.
Feb 23, 2020
Scores 14 in Sunday's start
Holiday posted 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, four rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Sunday's 127-81 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Holiday filled in as a starter in place of Victor Oladipo (back). Moreover, Jeremy Lamb exited early due to a sore left knee. Though Holiday amassed four turnovers, he posted a decent stat line and depending on the status of the aforementioned duo of guards, he could be in line for decent minutes once again during Tuesday's matchup versus the Hornets.
Feb 23, 2020
Starting Sunday
Holiday will start Sunday's game against the Raptors, J. Michael of the Indy Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday will fill the spot vacated by Victor Oladipo (back), while the Pacers will keep Jeremy Lamb in a bench role. Holiday did not play a single minute over the last three games, but he'll rejoin the rotation for the time being. Since Oladipo returned from his long-term absence, Holiday's workload has been slashed.
Feb 10, 2020
Left out of rotation
Holiday (coach's decision) didn't see the floor during Monday's 106-105 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Holiday saw just eight minutes in Saturday's matchup versus the Pelicans despite the absence of Victor Oladipo (rest). As such, it wasn't all that surprising to see Holiday left out of the rotation entirely with Oladipo back for this one. T.J. McConnell seems to be holding down the fort as the primary backup point guard, though Holiday is at least versatile enough to play either guard spot in the event that coach Nate McMillan opts for more lineups with multiple ball-handlers.
Feb 5, 2020
Back to bench
Holiday will come off the bench Wednesday against the Raptors, Scott Agness of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday started Monday's game against the Mavericks, but he'll return to a bench role Wednesday with Victor Oladipo ready to rejoin the starting five. When coming off the bench in January (nine games), Holiday averaged 9.2 points, 3.3 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 21.8 minutes.
Feb 3, 2020
Set to start Monday
Holiday will start Monday's game against the Mavericks, Scott Agness of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has found himself out of the rotation since the return of Victor Oladipo, as he logged DNP-CDs in each of the previous two games. However, he'll be in the starting lineup Monday in place of the injured T.J. Warren (concussion). The Pacers will go small with Holiday and Malcolm Brogdon in the backcourt and Jeremy Lamb on the wing.
Jan 30, 2020
Moved out of rotation
Holiday (coach's decision) didn't see the floor Wednesday in the Pacers' 115-106 overtime win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Per Tony East of West Indianapolis Community News, coach Nate McMillan warned prior to the contest that Victor Oladipo's (knee) return from a year-long absence would leave fewer minutes available for Holiday, T.J. McConnell and Jeremy Lamb, but only Holiday had his playing time cut in any substantial way. It didn't help Holiday's case that Malcolm Brogdon (concussion) was also back from a two-game absence, with McConnell keeping a spot in the rotation as the backup point guard. The Pacers' second unit should remain fluid from game to game and a spot for Holiday may eventually reopen, but even in that scenario, he can't be counted on to approach anywhere close to the 23.4 minutes he's averaging for season.
Jan 27, 2020
Scores 17 off bench
Holiday produced 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt)four assists and a rebound in 26 minutes during Sunday's loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
Holiday eclipsed double-digits for the third time in four games and is averaging 12.0 points and 3.5 assists per game in that span. While he's played well in support of T.J. McConnell of late, there's a good chance that Holiday's workload will drop once Malcolm Brogdon (concussion) and Victor Oladipo (knee) return. Overall this season, the second-year guard's averaging 10.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per contest.
Jan 21, 2020
Questionable with thumb injury
Holiday is questionable for Wednesday's game against Phoenix due to right thumb soreness.
ANALYSIS
Holiday appeared to have picked up the injury during Monday's showdown with the Jazz, putting his availability in jeopardy for Wednesday. He'll likely be re-evaluated during morning shootaround, at which point an update on his status could emerge.
Jan 21, 2020
Empty stat line in loss
Holiday had 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3PT) and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench during Monday's 118-88 loss at Utah.
ANALYSIS
Holiday has been very inconsistent since returning to the bench six games ago -- he has scored in double digits thrice over that span, but he has a combined tally of three points, including two scoreless outings, in the remaining three appearances. He can certainly produce off the bench when given the chance, but his lack of consistency of late certainly conspires against his upside now that Malcolm Brogdon is healthy and back to his normal workload.
Jan 15, 2020
Scoreless in 18 minutes
Holiday had zero points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one assist in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 104-99 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Holiday finished with more turnovers (three) than assists and couldn't buy a bucket in this one. With Victor Oladipo (knee) expected to make his season debut on Jan. 29, Holiday's days as a legitimate fantasy option seem to be coming to an end, though he may retain decent value in deeper leagues if his minutes don't dry up too much.
Jan 11, 2020
Comes close to double-double
Holiday had 19 points (8-9 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), eight assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes off the bench during Friday's 116-105 win at the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Holiday returned to the bench after a four-game stretch as a starter and responded with one of highest scoring outputs of the season. Holiday has scored 14 or more points in three of his last four outings and he should remain productive moving forward regardless of his role, although his upside could be capped by his playing time.
Jan 10, 2020
Headed for bench role
Holiday will come off the bench Friday against the Bulls, Jeremiah Johnson of Fox Sports Indiana reports.
ANALYSIS
Holiday had started five of the last six games with Malcolm Brogdon (illness) on the mend, but he's in for a bench role Friday evening. T.J. McConnell draws the start at point guard.
Nov 24, 2019
Likely bound for bench role
Holiday is expected to come off the bench Monday in the Pacers' game against the Grizzlies with Malcolm Brogdon (back) declaring himself ready to return, J. Michael of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year player had started in each of the Pacers' last eight games, with the first five of those coming at shooting guard. Holiday shifted over to point guard while Brogdon missed the previous three games and saw his production tick up accordingly, averaging 16.0 points, 7.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 triples and 1.3 steals across 30.3 minutes in those contests. Now that the Pacers' ideal backcourt starters -- Brogdon and Jeremy Lamb -- are both healthy again, Holiday should see a sizable downturn in playing time as he retreats to the second unit.
