It's been a bit of a roller coaster for Nembhard so far this season, soaring into the 12-team discussion, only to fall by the wayside thanks to some mediocre performances. Through it all, he has maintained a steady role as a member of the starting lineup, meaning he should at least be someone managers are keeping an eye on moving forward.

The Pacers seem to prefer having Bennedict Mathurin anchor their second-unit scoring, but with Chris Duarte now healthy, Nembhard may have to pick up the pace to keep his spot in the starting five.

Nembhard logged a team-high 30 minutes, while knicked-up starter Chris Duarte (nose) logged just 17. It's unclear if Duarte is battling a new ailment, but Nembhard's play justified his usage. The rookie chipped in across the box score, without recording a turnover. His role against Detroit on Saturday is worth monitoring.

Nembhard scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3 Pt, 1-1FT) with nine assists, four rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Nembhard came alive in the fourth, going 5-of-7 from the field with two three pointers after shooting just 1-of-5 for the first three quarters. He was instrumental in helping the Pacers come from behind and secure a lead to finish out the game. After blocking a driving layup attempt from Jalen Brunson with 1:41 left in the third, Nembhard handed out two assists and also grabbed a steal as the Pacers finished the quarter on a 7-0 run. His five turnovers were the only blemish on an otherwise-solid night for the Pacers guard.
