There's been a lack of consistency from McCollum on the offensive end so far this season that is captured perfectly by his previous two appearances, putting up 46 points Tuesday against Atlanta followed by a quiet 11-point outing Friday.

Fresh off a season-high 46 points in a win over the Hawks, McCollum came crashing back to earth Friday. In fact, his 11 points were the lowest he has scored in his past six games, continuing a season that has been full of ups and downs. Through 18 games, the veteran is averaging 17.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 three-pointers in 29.7 minutes per contest.

The veteran guard has already recorded two 40-plus-point outings through 17 regular-season games, and he has scored at least 18 in each of Washington's last three matchups.

He was far more efficient against Brooklyn, finishing second on his team in points while also showcasing his quick hands on the opposite end of the court. McCollum has now recorded two steals three times in 13 appearances so far this season.

McCollum finished with 42 points (14-26 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 9-11 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 43 minutes during Monday's 137-135 overtime loss to the Pistons.

McCollum added plenty of offensive firepower for the Wizards, but Detroit made an impressive late-game push and ultimately secured the victory after sending the game to overtime. The 34-year-old has been red hot over his last three games, turning back to the clock to average 30.7 points in 34.7 minutes.

This was certainly a step in the right direction for McCollum, but his production outside of the scoring column has been disappointing so far this year.

McCollum's season continues to go from bad to worse, delivering a season-low three points in the loss. Saying he is washed might be a little premature, although fantasy managers have to be getting frustrated with his production thus far. Through eight games, he is averaging 11.6 points and 2.0 three-pointers in 27.3 minutes per contest.

McCollum ended Thursday's 127-108 loss to Oklahoma City with 19 points (6-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes.

Although the Wizards are struggling to begin the season, McCollum is providing veteran stability in the backcourt. After underperforming early on, he's averaged 19 points per game over the last three contests. As the team's presumptive floor general, his assist numbers need some work, but the rest of his numbers seem to be trending up.

McCollum had 14 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, seven assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Tuesday's 139-134 overtime loss to Philadelphia.

McCollum had plenty of opportunities to wrap up the game Tuesday, ultimately falling short. Despite playing 40 minutes, he shot the ball poorly, whilst being tasked with running the offense down the stretch. The Wizards are much-improved this season, but are still likely to be towards the bottom of the standings when all is said and done. It's unclear whether McCollum is going to feature in the team's long-term plans, making him a somewhat risky player to roster.

McCollum compiled 24 points (8-20 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one turnover across 30 minutes during Sunday's 139-113 loss to the Wizards.

McCollum was coming off of back-to-back, single-digit scoring performances, but he finally got things on track Sunday evening, operating as the Wizards' go-to guy on offense. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep it going Tuesday with a tough matchup against the 76ers.

McCollum struggled to get going offensively during the regular-season debut with his new squad. He was the only starter who didn't crack double digits, and he also failed to connect on all six of his attempts from beyond the arc. Although the veteran guard was one of the biggest additions to the squad during the offseason, he could end up in a bench role if this kind of production continues.

This game had the look of a dress rehearsal for Washington, although the starters played reduced workloads. McCollum tied with Corey Kispert with a team-high 13 shots, and he caught fire from beyond the arc. On paper, McCollum has plenty of fantasy appeal, but it's fair to wonder how heavily the Wizards will rely on him as the season progresses.

McCollum is in the starting lineup for Thursday's exhibition against the Pistons.

McCollum received a rest day Monday, but he'll be back in action Thursday night, which will shift Tre Johnson back to the second unit. McCollum should start the season strong in D.C., but if he's not traded, he will be in danger of getting shut down later in the season.

He doesn't typically offer a lot outside of points and threes, making him a viable mid to late-round target in fantasy drafts.

McCollum continues to be a prolific producer during the Pelicans' lost season. The veteran guard bounced back from a modest nine-point performance against the Magic to lead the team in scoring. The's currently averaging 17.6 points, 5.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds during the month of March.

McCollum closed Thursday's 113-93 loss to Orlando with nine points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and four assists across 23 minutes.

McCollum couldn't generate much offense in this lopsided loss, while Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins provided a spark off the bench with a combined 23 points. McCollum has been in a slump lately, as he's sitting outside the top-150 in nine-category formats over his last five games with 14.4 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.8 three-pointers in 28.5 minutes.

McCollum is not on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.

In four games since the All-Star break, McCollum is shooting 37.3 percent from the floor and 27.6 percent from deep while averaging 15.0 points per game. Those figures are a sizable drop compared to his season-long averages of 21.9 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor and 37.4 percent from deep.

McCollum produced 43 points (16-25 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists in 41 minutes during Thursday's 140-133 overtime win over the Kings.

McCollum was red-hot from three in Thursday's overtime battle, leading all players in scoring and threes made while finishing second on the team in rebounds in a balanced 40-point showcase. McCollum has connected on seven or more threes in three outings this season, surpassing the 40-point mark on three occasions. He has posted at least 40 points and seven boards in two contests this year.

What a month this has been for McCollum, as his three best scoring performances have come in January -- he had a season-high 50 points on Jan. 3 and a 38-point outing on Jan. 10. For the month, he's averaging 24.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.8 three-pointers. If the Pelicans become sellers at the deadline, there will likely be a strong market for the veteran guard.

Duds like this have been far and far between this season, but two of arguably his worst games of the season have occurred in January. Despite that, he's still averaging 23.0 points, 3.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 3.8 three-pointers through eight January appearances.

The star guard has thrived lately as New Orleans' top scoring option, as he's averaged 28.5 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 4.8 threes while shooting 48.1 percent from beyond the arc over his last eight games. McCollum should continue handling additional playmaking duties while Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Trey Murphy (ankle) remain sidelined, but he'll face a tough test Sunday against the defending-champion Celtics.

The shooting guard finished with a game-high 32 points on the night and also knocked down a game-high six three pointers off only eight attempts while adding five boards and five assists. McCollum has scored at least 20 points in three of four games to start the month, shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three over that stretch.

McCollum registered 24 points (9-19 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and seven assists across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 victory over the Trail Blazers.

McCollum shot the ball well for most of the contest, going a combined 8-of-15 from the field from the second quarter on before finishing second on the team with 24 points. He added seven rebounds and seven assists, with four of those assists coming in the fourth quarter as the Pelicans pulled away for the win. McCollum has been held under 20 points in both of the Pelicans' last two contests, with his 2-for-17 showing from three-point range between those games contributing heavily to the substandard scoring performances. Though in most cases fantasy managers could chalk up the poor showings from downtown as outlier performances, McCollum acknowledged prior to Monday's game that he's continuing to play through a right thumb injury, per Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. McCollum doesn't sound like he's at any immediate risk of missing games because of the injury, but it may take a bit for him to regain his usual shooting touch.

McCollum produced 22 points (8-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, nine assists and two blocks in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 120-102 loss to the Lakers.

McCollum has taken a step back in his scoring duties since the return of Brandon Ingram, but the veteran guard continues to find ways to impact the game while also putting up solid scoring figures. Over his last 10 games, McCollum is averaging 21.4 points, 5.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game while also reaching the 20-point plateau in all but two contests.

The three thefts tied a season high for McCollum and were two shy of his combined total in his previous seven games combined, but the defensive production and strong showing from the free-throw line were about the only highlights of the 31-year-old's stat line. After converting at a 50.5 percent clip from the field over his past five games, regression set back in for McCollum, who couldn't get it going from either two-point range or downtown. Though he's averaging a career-high 5.8 assists per game in his role as the Pelicans' full-time point guard, his overall efficiency has predictably trended down in his first full season without playing alongside Damian Lillard. His 53.9 true shooting percentage for the season represents his lowest mark since the 2017-18 campaign.

He also helped out on the defensive end by collecting a block and a steal, which marks his second straight game with at least one of each. McCollum continues to pick up the slack with both Zion Williamson (hamstring) and Brandon Ingram (toe) sidelines, as he's averaging 30.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.0 blocks through five January appearances.

McCollum totaled 34 points (12-21 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Monday's 132-112 victory over the Wizards.

It was another impressive game for McCollum who led both teams in scoring on Monday night. He continued his three-point hot streak, hitting at least four shots from beyond the arc for the fourth game in a row and the fifth time in six games. The 31-year-old is averaging 29.0 points on 50 percent shooting in the month of January, hitting 10.3 shots per game including 4.5 from deep.

McCollum isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's matchup against Washington.

McCollum was sidelined for rest purposes during Saturday's loss to Dallas, but it appears the point guard will return to action Monday. Before his absence, McCollum has scored 20-plus points in 10 of his past 14 contests, posting 25.6 points, 6.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 36.5 minutes during that stretch.

McCollum totaled 42 points (13-20 FG, 11-16 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Friday's 127-116 victory over the 76ers.

McCollum caught fire in the victory, connecting on a franchise-high 11 triples en route to a season-high 42 points. He actually hit seven of his three-pointers in the first half alone, setting the Pelicans up for what was an impressive victory. He has been a top-15 player over the past two weeks, stepping up in the absence of Brandon Ingram (toe). He will likely settle in as a top-40 asset once the dust settles, meaning this could be a nice time to try and sell high.

McCollum contributed 17 points (5-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 128-125 overtime victory over the Thunder.

The Pelicans were without Zion Williamson (COVID-19) and Brandon Ingram (toe), so they had to lean heavily on McCollum as a playmaker, but the veteran guard delivered and played a big role in the win. McCollum had been struggling for a big chunk of the season but is turning things around of late, scoring in double digits in eight games in a row and averaging 25.5 points, 6.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds per contest in that span.

McCollum has been enduring a rough season and has been New Orleans' third-best scoring threat at times behind Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram (toe) when the latter is healthy, but he turned back the clock here and notched a season-best scoring mark. He's been playing very well of late and has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five outings, averaging 25.8 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 45.9 percent from deep in that span.

McCollum has now scored at least 27 points in three of his last four while his 57.9 percent shooting from the field Saturday marked his best shooting performance in the month of December.

The former Blazers guard bounced back from a poor shooting display against the Suns when he scored 17 points while shooting 6-for-19, and now he's scored at least 20 points in four of his first six contests.

The fact that he logged 35 minutes should bode well for his chances of seeing regular workload when the Pelicans take on the Clippers on Sunday.

McCollum has scored 21 points in each of his first two games of the new season, logging 30-plus minutes in each contest. He's drained three and two triples to kick off the season, respectively, and he appears poised to pick up right where he left off from beyond the arc a season ago. McCollum averaged 7.5 attempts from three and 2.5 made threes a season ago.

McCollum amassed 21 points (7-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, six assists and three steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 130-108 win over the Nets.

McCollum was solid as ever in the win, taking a back seat to both Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. While he doesn't receive the fanfare of a couple of his teammates, McCollum's importance to this team cannot be understated. There is a very real chance he could lead the team in assists and threes this season while chipping in 20 points per game on reasonably efficient shooting. When all is said and done, he should maintain top-60 value most of the way.

New Orleans should be able to get more out of Brandon Ingram (18 points, five turnovers in 39 minutes), but McCollum is the player with significantly more postseason experience, so look for him to continue shouldering a major offensive burden as long as New Orleans can manage to stay alive against the NBA's best team.

McCollum produced 19 points (9-24 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 0-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one block in 42 minutes during Friday's 105-101 win over the Clippers.

McCollum struggled to be efficient for the majority of the game, but he was able to put his struggles aside in the fourth quarter and registered seven points and two assists during the final period to lead New Orleans back from a 13-point deficit. While his overall numbers weren't as prolific as the first play-in game, his timely scoring was key in New Orleans advancing to their first playoffs since the 2017-18 season. The Pelicans will have to lean heavily on McCollum if they have any chance of pulling off a first-round upset of the Suns.

McCollum logged 32 points (12-23 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and one block over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 113-103 victory over San Antonio.

McCollum set the tone for New Orleans early, scoring 27 first-half points to carry the team to a double-digit halftime lead. Though he faded somewhat in the second half, the star guard finished with a team-leading 32 points on a 12-for-23 shooting line. McCollum also led the Pelicans with seven assists and a plus-16 mark during his time on the court. He'll try to carry New Orleans into an improbable spot in the playoffs in the team's matchup versus the Clippers on Friday.

McCollum is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Golden State.

The Pelicans are holding out several regulars, including Herb Jones, Jonas Valanciunas, Brandon Ingram and Devonte' Graham, but it looks as though McCollum will be active for the regular season finale. It's quite possible, however, that he'll have his minutes monitored with no playoff implications on the line. At this point, the Pelicans are squarely focused on winning Wednesday's do-or-die play-in matchup against the Spurs.

McCollum ended with 16 points (6-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-6 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 141-114 loss to the Grizzlies.

It was McCollum's worst scoring performance since he put up 15 in his Pelicans debut Feb. 10, but it was still enough to lead the team Saturday. The veteran guard also saw his streak of games with multiple steals end at four, but he'll wrap up his regular season Sunday against the Warriors before leading New Orleans into the play-in tournament.

McCollum has looked sharp since missing two games in March due to a stint in the COVID-19 protocols, averaging 24.2 points, 5.6 assists, 3.9 boards, 2.7 threes and 1.7 steals over the last 12 games.

McCollum continues to thrive with the Pelicans. He can flash tremendous upside with scoring totals of 30-plus points, and also excels with excellent secondary numbers on a consistent basis.

McCollum had 25 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-8 FT), three rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 117-107 win over the Trail Blazers.

The Pelicans brought McCollum into the fold in early February to provide offensive punch, and he did just that with a team-leading 25 points in the crucial win Wednesday. The star guard struggled from the charity stripe, but he helped fantasy managers who roster him with a 9-for-16 performance from the field. McCollum finishes March with per-game averages of 24.8 points, 6.8 dimes, 4.2 boards and 2.5 three-pointers over the course of the month.

The former Trail Blazer continues to thrive with his new club. McCollum has scored at least 20 points in nine straight starts despite missing a couple games in the middle of that stretch while in the COVID-19 protocols, and in 17 contests since joining the Pelicans he's averaging 26.1 points, 6.6 assists, 4.9 boards. 2.8 threes and 1.2 steals.

McCollum closed Monday's 106-103 loss to the Hornets with 27 points (10-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists and one steal in 34 minutes.

McCollum did his part in this one, finishing with 20-plus points in his eighth straight contest while shooting over 50 percent from the field. He also knocked down three triples, hitting three or more in four of his last six matchups. It's reasonable to expect the Pelicans to continue to lean heavily on McCollum's scoring attack with less than a month remaining in the regular season.

McCollum finished Sunday's 117-112 victory over Atlanta with 25 points (9-26 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 39 minutes.

McCollum has scored 20-plus points in each of his last seven appearances. During that stretch, the star guard has averaged 25.4 points, 7.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. He'll look to maintain his strong play against the Hornets on Monday.

The veteran guard wasn't exactly efficient as a shooter, but he turned the ball over only once and tied his season high with three steals. McCollum has scored at least 20 points in six straight appearances.

After clearing the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols early Tuesday, McCollum was back in action in his usual starting role following a two-game absence. Because he didn't miss significant time and didn't experience significant symptoms of the virus while he was out, McCollum was able to take on a normal allotment of minutes and delivered a relatively typical stat line. The Pelicans will count on him to shoulder the offensive load most nights, especially while Brandon Ingram (hamstring) remains without a clear return date.

This is great news for fantasy managers who were bracing for McCollum to potentially be available for only two of the Pelicans' three games this week.

Even while drawing extensive attention defensively and putting up 20-plus shots for the first time since Feb. 17, McCollum produced his points efficiently and committed only three turnovers. The Pelicans have already ruled Ingram out for Wednesday's game against the Magic, setting McCollum up for an oversized role once again.

McCollum ended just one assist shy of putting up a double-double and the uptick in playmaking numbers has been noticeable, as the former Blazers guard has dished out at least eight assists in three of his last four appearances. Furthermore, he has also scored at least 20 points in all but two of his 10 games with New Orleans and is already entrenched as one of the team's go-to players on offense.

The Pelicans went 1-4 through McCollum's first five games with the team, but they've now won two straight after taking down the first-place Suns on Friday night. McCollum hit the ground running with his new team before the All-Star break and hasn't looked back. Over his last six games, he's averaging 30.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 3.5 threes and 1.7 steals while shooting 57.0 percent from the field.

McCollum ended Friday's 117-102 win over the Suns with 32 points (11-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-11 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 35 minutes.

McCollum was fantastic again for the Pelicans, guiding them to an improbable victory over the high-flying Suns. Since landing in New Orleans, McCollum has thrived as the go-to scoring option, having scored at least 30 points in three consecutive games. His efficiency is way up at the moment and so while he should continue to fire away at will, there is a decent chance he regresses at some point, making this a bit of a sell-high moment.

McCollum provided 38 points (14-26 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Thursday's 125-118 loss to the Mavericks.

McCollum continued to thrive as the go-to scorer for his new team, scoring at least 30 points for the third time in just five games. Prior to being traded, McCollum had scored more than 30 points only twice all season, highlighting just how well he has been able to integrate himself into the Pelicans' offensive structures. As an added wrinkle, McCollum has handed out at least five assists in each of his five games, adding to his overall appeal moving forward.

McCollum will look to continue his solid play Thursday against the Mavericks, which is the Pelicans' final contest before the All-Star break.

McCollum has been an instant success with New Orleans, as the star shooting guard has scored at least 23 points in two of his three games with the franchise and is already emerging as a key scoring threat. Dating back to his Portland days, McCollum has now scored in double digits in 23 straight contests, and it would be fair to assume he's going to experience an uptick in his scoring numbers compared to what he had with the Blazers.

McCollum had 36 points (15-24 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds and five assists across 36 minutes during Saturday's 124-114 loss to the Spurs.

While McCollum was responsible for six of New Orleans' 15 turnovers, he carried the team offensively with his highest-scoring game of the entire season. McCollum's 11 boards also established a new season high, as did his 15 made field goals. The trade deadline acquisition is off to a solid start for the Pelicans, though they're 0-2 since adding him. New Orleans plays three times in Week 18, beginning with a matchup against the Raptors on Monday on the front end of a back-to-back.

McCollum scored 15 points (6-21 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding seven rebounds, five assists and a steal in 37 minutes during Thursday's 112-97 loss to the Heat.

While the 30-year-old had trouble finding his shot in his first career game playing for a team other than the Trail Blazers, McCollum was still able to contribute and led the Pelicans in assists. It could take a few games to get comfortable in his new offense, but McCollum does have the supporting cast in New Orleans to thrive once he's settled in.

McCollum will start Thursday's game against the Heat.

McCollum will make his debut for New Orleans on Thursday after being acquired from Portland earlier this week, and he'll immediately slot into the starting lineup. He's averaging 20.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 35.2 minutes per contest this season and should provide a strong complement to Brandon Ingram for New Orleans.

McCollum is expected to make his Pelicans debut Thursday night against the Heat.

McCollum was officially dealt from Portland to New Orleans on Tuesday afternoon. He, of course, did not play in Tuesday night's game against Houston, but after an off day Wednesday, all indications are that the veteran is planning to play Thursday night. McCollum is a lock to eventually slide into the starting shooting guard spot, but it's possible he could come off the bench for a game or two as he finds his footing with his new team.

The Pelicans are expected to finalize a deal Tuesday to acquire McCollum from the Trail Blazers in a package centered around Josh Hart and draft-pick compensation, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

McCollum-to-the-Pelicans rumors have been percolating for the last couple of weeks, and Portland and New Orleans are seemingly nearing the finish line in trade negotiations. Even if the deal is finalized before Portland's upcoming game Tuesday versus the Magic, expect McCollum to sit out that contest and make his debut with New Orleans on Thursday versus the Heat, assuming the trade is completed before then. McCollum, who is averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, 4.3 assists, 3.1 three-pointers, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks in 35.2 minutes per game over 36 appearances this season, should slot in as the Pelicans' starting shooting guard and is unlikely to see his fantasy outlook change in a dramatic way due to the move.

He logged an efficient effort from the field to prop up an otherwise ugly shooting night for the team as a whole. McCollum has scored 20-plus points in four straight contests and is averaging 24.0 points, 5.5 dimes, 3.8 boards and 2.8 three-pointers over that stretch.

The star guard has converted multiple three-pointers and scored at least 15 points in all six games since returning from an 18-game hiatus Jan. 15, though Anfernee Simons has emerged as a legitimate offensive threat in the wake of Damian Lillard's (abdomen) extended absence. That dampens McCollum's chances of dominating the scoring or distributing load for the Blazers, but he should continue to put up solid numbers.

McCollum logged 15 points (5-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block over 38 minutes during Tuesday's 109-107 loss to the Timberwolves.

An off-night here and there from McCollumis to be expected as he adjusts to a full load after his extended absence. While regaining his sea legs, he's still managed to string some productive games together, including a nice double-double in Sunday's win over Toronto.

McCollum finished Sunday's 114-105 win over Toronto with 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals over 38 minutes.

McCollum has scored at least 16 points in each of his four games since returning from a lengthy absence, but this was also the first double-double he's recorded on the campaign. As if that was not enough, the six assists he dished out represented the third-best mark in that specific category throughout the campaign.

McCollum ended Monday's 98-88 victory over the Magic with 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound, two assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes.

McCollum missed the last 18 games after suffering a collapsed lung, but was efficient in his return. Additionally, he's likely to take on additional facilitating duties over the next few weeks in the absence of Damian Lillard (abdomen). A collapsed lung isn't a common basketball injury, so it's cool to see McCollum appear healthy and well as he approached a typical workload. Portland next plays Wednesday in Miami.

Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups said Sunday that McCollum is completely healthy and back in playing shape after suffering a collapsed right lung in early December, but he won't rejoin the team until after his wife gives birth to the couple's first child this week, Jay Allen of NBC Sports Northwest Rip City Radio 620 reports.

McCollum is expected to remain out for Monday's home game against the Nets, but he may be ready to go for the start of the Trail Blazers' six-game road trip, which begins Thursday in Denver. Whether he returns in Denver or at some point shortly thereafter, McCollum doesn't look like he'll be subject to any major playing-time restrictions, and he could be poised for a big second half of the season. The Trail Blazers have already ruled Damian Lillard (abdomen) out for their entire upcoming road trip, and season-ending surgery is looking like an increasing possibility for the star point guard, especially with Portland sitting out a 15-24 record entering Monday. If Lillard is in fact headed for a long-term absence, McCollum and Anfernee Simons would operate as Portland's primary playmakers out of the backcourt and likely benefit from increased scoring and assist opportunities.

If all of Lillard, Simons and McCollum miss any time, Dennis Smith would have a clear path to a high-usage role out of the Portland backcourt after he poured in 21 points to go with six assists, four rebounds and three steals across 37 minutes in his first start of the season Saturday.

McCollum had 24 points (8-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 5-7 FT), one rebound, six assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Saturday's 145-117 loss to the Celtics.

Portland didn't put up much of a fight in the blowout home loss, but McCollum did well enough for his fantasy managers despite an off shooting night. The veteran should remain the focal point of the offense for as long as Damian Lillard (abdomen) remains out, and McCollum has averaged 22.7 points and 4.7 assists in three games without the superstar point guard. He is shooting just 40.0 percent from the field over that span, however.

McCollum chipped in 16 points (7-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals over 32 minutes during Thursday's 114-83 loss to San Antonio.

McCollum's three swats -- which tied a season high -- were a nice surprise, but fantasy managers who roster the guard were likely hoping for more than 16 points considering his increased opportunities in Daman Lillard's (abdomen) absence. McCollum has scored more than 20 points just once over his past five games, and he'll likely need to increase that number to help keep the Blazers afloat while their superstar point guard remains out of action.

McCollum closed with 28 points (11-26 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 110-92 win over the Pistons.

McCollum was one of the biggest beneficiaries of Damian Lillard's absence due to rest, as he enjoyed a bigger role on offense and led the team in scoring while also adding decent figures both as a playmaker and on defense. It hasn't been the best of years for the talented guard, though, and while he's averaging 20.2 points per game over his last 10 contests, he's been extremely inconsistent and has reached the 20-point mark just four times in that span.

McCollum totaled 16 points (6-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block in 39 minutes during Friday's 118-103 loss to the Warriors.

The Warriors were able to keep both McCollum and Damian Lillard (16 points) under wraps Friday, and Portland fell for the second straight game after winning four straight. Typically one of the most dependable players in fantasy basketball, McCollum has been mired in a bit of a slump lately, averaging just 17.6 points on 41.4 percent shooting over his last five games. While he's scored 18 points or fewer four times in that stretch, it does include a masterful, 32-point (13-19 FT) performance against Denver on Tuesday.

McCollum produced 32 points (13-19 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 119-100 victory over the Nuggets.

McCollum surpassed the 30-point mark just for the second time this season and led the team offensively in a game where Damian Lillard also had an impressive performance (25 points on 9-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT). McCollum has struggled with consistency all season long, but he seems to be turning things around of late and has scored 20-plus points in three of his last five contests.

McCollum took a back seat to Damian Lillard (39 points) in the win, but he still finished with a nice stat line that included four three-pointers. The star guard has quieted down somewhat after a hot start to the campaign, as he has surpassed the 20-point mark just twice in his past eight contests. Still, McCollum's overall production -- which includes 20.4 points, 4.4 assists, 4.2 boards, 3.4 three-pointers and 1.1 steals -- is in line with what fantasy managers have come to expect from him in recent seasons.

McCollum logged 29 points (11-18 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 40 minutes during Monday's 118-113 win over the Raptors.

McCollum came into the contest shooting just 35.7 percent from the field over his previous five games, but he found his stroke against Toronto en route to a team-high 29 points. The star guard also tied a season high with six three-pointers and contributed as a distributor and defender as well. McCollum's 21.3 points per contest leads Portland through 15 games on the campaign.

McCollum ended with 21 points (7-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Sunday's 124-95 loss to the Nuggets.

Playing without Damian Lillard (abdomen), the Blazers fell behind by 15 in the first quarter and never mounted much of a comeback. McCollum led the way in the lopsided defeat and was the only Blazers player to score more than 13 points. While it was a disappointing night for Portland, McCollum bounced back with five three-pointers after hitting only three total in his last four games (3-23 3Pt).

McCollum logged 17 points (7-21 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Friday's 104-92 victory over the Rockets.

McCollum has been struggling badly from the field of late and has gone four straight outings with fewer than 20 points while hitting just 34.3 percent of his field goals in that stretch. While the offensive woes certainly conspire against his upside, McCollum has still managed to produce in other categories from time to time. He remains valuable across all formats and he should bounce back sooner than later, so fantasy managers should be patient with him and expect him to get out of his slump sooner than later.

McCollum played 34 minutes in Monday's loss to the Clippers and totaled 13 points (6-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot.

Though his field-goal efficiency was admittedly better than the 3-for-15 mark he posted against the Lakers on Saturday, McCollum still finished with his second-lowest scoring output of the campaign. He didn't contribute much in the way of peripheral stats, either, after registering at least five rebounds and five assists in each of this previous three games. McCollum's two-game slide has coincided with Damian Lillard's shaking of his early-season slump, but the pair have proven in the past that they can both put up strong numbers while sharing the backcourt.

McCollum tallied seven points (3-15 FG, 1-10 3Pt), five rebounds and five assists over 24 minutes Saturday in a 105-90 win against the Lakers.

This was by far McCollum's worst offensive performance of the season, as he failed to reach double-digit scoring for the first time and shot just 3-for-15 from the field. However, the poor production didn't hamper Portland much, as the team built a 31-point lead after three quarters and cruised to an easy win. Saturday's dud aside, McCollum has been very good on the campaign, posting per-game averages of 22.1 points, 4.3 boards, 4.1 dimes and 3.9 three-pointers.

McCollum scored 21 points (7-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), tacking on seven rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block during a 107-104 loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

McCollum failed to shoot 50 percent from the field for the sixth consecutive game, but provided the volume as usual. He has graded out as Portland's best player through eight games this campaign, with positive offensive and defensive marks generating a team-high 0.9 WAR. McCollum carries one of fantasy's most stable floors and will face the Pacers on Friday.

McCollum finished Sunday's loss to the Hornets with 25 points (10-24 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and eight assists.

In the early going, McCollum continues to be the more valuable fantasy asset in the Trail Blazers' backcourt amid a rough start for Damian Lillard, who finished Sunday's game with 14 points on 5-of-20 shooting. McCollum was coming off of a down night of his own against the Clippers on Friday (14 points, 2-7 3Pt), but he's now scored at least 20 points in every other game this season.

McCollum registered 25 points (8-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot over 32 minutes in a 116-96 victory versus Memphis on Wednesday.

McCollum has surprisingly led Portland in scoring in each of the team's first four games this season despite playing next to Damian Lillard. McCollum has also converted at least four three-pointers in each contest, and he racked up multiple steals for the third time Wednesday. He is posting per-game averages of 26.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.5 blocks and 5.0 three-pointers.

McCollum registered 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot in Monday's blowout loss to the Clippers.

Damian Lillard again struggled offensively in the contest, and it was McCollum who again led Portland in scoring. The shooting guard was the only Blazer to score more than 12 points in the lopsided loss, and he was responsible for half of the team's eight conversions from beyond the arc. McCollum is off to a strong start to the campaign, posting per-game averages of 27.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and 5.3 three-pointers.

McCollum finished Saturday's 134-105 win over Phoenix with 28 points (10-19 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, three blocked shots and a steal over 30 minutes.

For the second straight game, it was McCollum -- not teammate Damian Lillard -- who led Portland in scoring. McCollum also surprised with three blocks Saturday, falling one short of his career high. Through two contests, the star guard is scoring an impressive 31.0 points per game while knocking down 12 total three-pointers and shooting 55.8 percent from the field.

McCollum finished Wednesday's loss to Sacramento with 34 points (14-24 FG, 6-11 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block over 35 minutes.

On a night when superstar teammate Damian Lillard struggled with his shot, McCollum stepped up with an uber-efficient shooting effort in the narrow loss. McCollum's six three-pointers equaled the amount tallied by his teammates combined, with Lillard uncharacteristically failing to convert any of his nine attempts from beyond the arc. Lillard figures to once again function as Portland's top option on offense, but McCollum is plenty talented in his own right and should be a consistent producer of points and triples.

McCollum (ankle) is probable for Wednesday's preseason game against Phoenix.

McCollum was initially listed as available but still appears likely to take the court after he missed Monday's contest. Ben McLemore (ankle) and Anfernee Simons (thumb) should see increased playing time if McCollum is limited.

McCollum committed a costly turnover when he stepped out of bounds late in the second overtime, and he also struggled from the field -- he needed 22 shots just to reach the 18-point outlet. The shooting guard still provided value across the board, but most of his value comes from his scoring figures on a regular basis -- meaning he needs to find a way to bounce back in Game 6. This was the first time in the series that McCollum didn't reach the 20-point mark.

McCollum has been remarkably consistent during the current series against the Nuggets, scoring between 21 and 22 points in each of those games. While he's not expected to take over the primary scoring role over Damian Lillard, McCollum has managed to stay a reliable scoring threat and is averaging 21.3 points while shooting 47.9 percent from the field in the first four games against Denver.

McCollum registered 22 points (8-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 41 minutes during Thursday's 120-115 loss to the Nuggets.

The 29-year-old regressed from the field in Game 3, completing just 40 percent of his shots after going 9-of-12 in Game 2. Still, McCollum has been a solid contributor through his first three games of the series, averaging 21.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 three-pointers on 48.1 percent field-goal shooting in that span. The eight-year veteran will look to keep up his stellar scoring pace and help Portland even the series in Game 4 on Saturday.

Coach Terry Stotts will need to make some adjustments after the Game 2 loss, and a lot of it will center around how McCollum is utilized. The Nuggets found a solution for Lillard with Aaron Gordon, but Gordon won't pose a problem in off-the-ball sets where Lillard plays more of a catch-and-shoot game. This will likely result in McCollum directing the offense with a little more frequency, which should positively affect his assist totals.

McCollum tallied 24 points (9-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes during Sunday's 132-116 win over the Nuggets.

The 29-year-old finished the regular season strong with six 20-plus point performances in a row, a span in which he averaged 25.5 points, 4.7 assists, 4.0 three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds while shooting 49.6 percent from the field. McCollum averaged career highs in points (23.1), assists (4.7) and three-pointers (3.6) through 47 games in his eighth NBA season. He'll look to parlay his late-season success into the playoffs for the sixth-seeded Blazers.

McCollum totaled 27 points (11-19 FG, 5-9 3Pt), six assists and a rebound across 39 minutes in Thursday's 118-117 loss to the Suns.

Thursday resulted in another excellent night of shooting from McCollum, who followed up a superb 28-point performance against Utah with an almost identical total. Although the team came up short in the final seconds, McCollum and Damian Lillard have been one of the most deadly backcourt duos in the league over the past few weeks, and they should prove to be the difference-makers in Portland's postseason fortunes.

It was the mid-range game for McCollum on Wednesday, as the sharpshooter drained 10-of-16 from inside the arc en route to his third straight with at least 26 points. Since posting just 10 points against the Cavaliers back on May 5, the former Lehigh standout is averaging 25.5 points across his past four outings.

His combined average against the Rockets and Spurs over the past two games comes out to 27.5 points, 4.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds.

After a slow start, the guard's numbers have ramped up and now provide a more steady floor of production. It's a welcome sight for those who stayed patient and kept McCollum on their fantasy rosters.

While Damian Lillard was having a rare off night, McCollum was his usual productive self as he dropped at least 20 points for the sixth time in the last seven games. The 29-year-old is averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 assists, 3.6 boards, 3.1 threes, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks over that stretch, and it's reassuring that his scoring hasn't taken a hit following the addition of Norman Powell to the Blazers' lineup.

McCollum has unsurprisingly been an integral aspect to Portland's success. The Blazers' past five wins saw him score 20-plus points, while their previous three losses saw him record a scoring tally under that mark. McCollum did the latter Friday but made up for it by logging his second stat line this season with at least seven assists and three steals.

McCollum totaled 24 points (8-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists, three rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

McCollum had a very nice final week of March. Over his last four games, McCollum has hit the 20-point plateau, dished out out five or more assists and blocked at least one shot in each outing. He's also hit on 50 percent or better of his shots in three games in that span. Numbers wise, McCollum is averaging 26.0 points, 6.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the floor over his last four contests.

McCollum posted 23 points (9-18 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks in Sunday night's win over Toronto.

McCollum struggled from three on an up-and-down night for the Blazers as a team, but he combined with Damian Lillard to put up 55 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds. McCollum has now topped 20 points in three straight games after scoring 16 points or fewer in four of his first five games back from injury.

Still, he was nonetheless a key cog on offense with Damian Lillard (knee) sidelined and ended as the team's highest-scoring player alongside Norman Powell. McCollum has now scored 20 or more points in three of his last five games and is trending in the right direction after missing nearly two months due to a foot injury that caused him to miss 25 games in a row.

McCollum notched 35 points (14-25 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists, a rebound and a block across 38 minutes in Thursday's win over the Heat.

McCollum was nearly unstoppable Thursday, as he was scoring the rock left and right while carrying Portland offensively when Miami was playing at their best. This was a bounce-back performance from McCollum, as he had scored 16 or fewer points in four of his previous five contests since returning from a lengthy injury and was also struggling from the field in that span. He had made just 33 percent of his shots and 37.2 percent of his treys in his previous five games before Thursday's contest, but this performance should boost both his numbers and his confidence going forward.

McCollum finished with 16 points (5-19 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 38 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Nets.

Aside from a 32-point effort March 19 against Dallas, McCollum has struggled to find his rhythm since returning from a long layoff, scoring 16 points or less in four of five contests. He had been averaging 26.7 points per game prior to going down with a foot sprain in mid-January, so the star guard figures to get back on track before long.

McCollum scored 13 points (6-15 FG. 0-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) across 24 minutes in a blowout loss to the Trail Blazers on Sunday.

The talented guard struggled with his shot in the loss, though he wasn't alone -- McCollum, Damian Lillard and Carmelo Anthony combined to go 0-for-16 from three-point range. Still, McCollum's recent struggles are a concern as he has shot only 35.4 percent from the field and averaged a modest 16.5 points over four contests since returning from a 25-game game absence between mid-January and mid-March.

McCollum recorded 32 points (11-23 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and four assists across 28 minutes Friday in a 125-119 win versus Dallas.

Though limited to under 30 minutes of playing time, McCollum logged the Trail Blazers' team best in scoring. It was a redeeming tally after he scored an underwhelming 21 points across his first two games post-foot injury. He may remain limited during Portland's next few matchups but should return to receiving normal starting time soon. McCollum is averaging 27.7 points this season across games with at least 34 minutes.

McCollum had 11 points (3-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists in Thursday's win over New Orleans.

Playing in his second game since returning from an extended injury absence, McCollum again struggled from the field, posting easily his least-efficient shooting night of the season. All three of his makes came from three-point range, as he went a ghastly 0-of-10 from inside the arc in 21 minutes of action.

McCollum recorded 10 points (3-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 125-124 win over the Pelicans.

After a 25-game absence due to a broken foot, McCollum returned to the starting lineup Tuesday and had a solid game, though it was a bit soured by four turnovers. Still, the important thing for the Trail Blazers and McCollum is that he's back on the court and was able to play 26 minutes in his first game back. Look for his workload to be increased gradually. The off-guard is in the midst of a career-best season. Prior to suffering the injury, he averaged 27.6 points, 5.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 35.2 minutes. He also hit 4.9 threes per game at 43.4 percent and committed just 1.1 turnovers.

McCollum (foot), who is on a minutes limit, will start in his return Tuesday against the Pelicans.

Following a 25-game absence, McCollum will be put right back in the starting five. However, he's on an undisclosed minutes limit. Once McCollum is back up to his usual workload, Gary Trent, Rodney Hood and Anfernee Simons are candidates to see their roles reduced.

McCollum (foot) will be on an undisclosed minutes limit Tuesday against the Pelicans, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.

As expected, following a 25-game layoff due to a broken foot, McCollum will see fewer minutes than usual in his first game back. It's not clear exactly how much run he'll get, but fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if it's below 25 minutes.

Based on Stotts' comments, McCollum would seem likely to miss additional time after the All-Star break as well, but the upcoming re-evaluation should prove more telling with regard to the target date for his return. McCollum has already missed the Blazers' last 18 games with a broken left foot.

The losses of McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic (wrist surgery) to extended absences within the last few days are devastating for the Trail Blazers, who will now turn to the likes of Enes Kanter, Carmelo Anthony, Robert Covington, Rodney Hood and Gary Trent to pick up the slack along with All-Star Damian Lillard.

It was an off night shooting for McCollum, but he saw a lot of volume en route to a 20 point effort. The guard continues his strong start to the season, taking a back seat to Dame Lillard in scoring, but his 11 assists were the team-high in the victory.

McCollum and James Harden went head-to-head in a tight game down the stretch, with McCollum and the Blazers ultimately prevailing on a three-pointer with 6.3 seconds left in overtime. The clutch shot was McCollum's ninth trey of the contest, setting a career high. Remarkably, the shooting guard did not turn the ball over a single time in his 44 minutes and converted an ultra-efficient 56.7 percent of his field-goal attempts. McCollum has led Portland in scoring in both of their games so far this season, combining for 67 total points and 12 three-pointers.

McCollum finished Wednesday's loss to Utah with 23 points (7-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds and three assists.

On an off-night for teammate Damian Lillard (nine points), McCollum attempted to pick up the slack but struggled with his shot himself, making only 7-of-19 attempts from the field. That was good enough to lead the Blazers in scoring but not enough to guide Portland to a win. There should be better nights ahead for both players, with McCollum expected to serve more of a complementary role to Lillard most nights.

McCollum took over scoring duties with Damian Lillard sitting out. He had a rough first quarter, missing seven consecutive shots before it ended. McCollum accumulated a whopping six defensive stats, a mark that he may not top all season. Despite a few question marks over his production, McCollum looks to have fully recovered from his back injury and should continue to flirt with top-60 numbers moving forward.

McCollum will require 6-to-8 weeks of rest, rehab and recovery but won't undergo surgery on his back, Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest reports.

McCollum turned in his best performance of the series, almost leading his team to an upset in a spirited effort in game five despite the absence of his backcourt running mate Damian Lillard (knee) in the contest. McCollum's herculean effort wasn't enough to make up for the Trail Blazers' depleted bench, and ultimately the Portland effort fell short, ending its season with the game five loss.

McCollum finished Monday's Game 4 loss to the Lakers with 18 points (5-13 FG, 2-3 3PT, 6-8 FT) and five rebounds.

It was a difficult night for the Blazers' offense, with both McCollum and Damian Lillard (knee) combining to hit just 8-of-22 field goal attempts. McCollum also tacked on two assists, two steals and a block in 33 minutes.

McCollum went for 28 points (12-25 FG, 4-12 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 43 minutes during Saturday's 116-108 Game 3 loss against the Lakers.

McCollum struggled from the field in the first two games of the series, but he delivered an improved effort in Game 4. He has scored 20 or more points in four of his last five games dating back to the seeding round.

McCollum registered 13 points (6-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes during Thursday's 111-88 Game 2 loss against the Lakers.

McCollum entered this game on the heels of three straight performances with at least 20 points, but he couldn't push that streak to a fourth game since he struggled with his shot all game long. McCollum is averaging 20.4 points per game on 43.7 percent shooting since the league resumed July 30, and he will need to produce that level of offense if the Blazers want to have a shot at pulling the upset in Game 3 on Saturday, especially if Damian Lillard is not at full strength due to his finger injury.

McCollum posted 21 points (8-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds and a steal across 41 minutes in Tuesday's 100-93 win over the Lakers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs,

The duo of McCollum and Damian Lillard looked unstoppable once again against the Lakers, who were clear favorites in Game 1. The odds didn't seem to bother McCollum, who put up another excellent stat line despite playing through back pain that plagued him in the bubble. If Portland's backcourt can sustain this run of superior games, the Lakers are in trouble. Despite heroic games from LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the depleted Lakers have no remedy for the one-two punch of McCollum and Lillard, who are playing as men possessed.

McCollum collected 29 points (11-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in 44 minutes during Saturday's 126-122 win over the Grizzlies.

McCollum took over late, scoring several clutch buckets down the stretch to help Portland clinch the final playoff berth. He continues to play through a back injury and log heavy minutes despite it, and McCollum will now have a couple days to rest and recover in advance of Tuesday's Game 1 against the top-seeded Lakers.

McCollum posted 25 points (9-21 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven assists, four rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot across 43 minutes in Thursday's 134-133 win over the Nets.

The fact that McCollum played 43 minutes with fractured vertebrae in his back is a testament to his grit and determination. It wasn't his best performance, but he made his minutes count in the fourth quarter. After a hot first frame, he disappeared for two quarters but charged back to make some key plays down the stretch. There will be no time for the guard to heal, so the Trail Blazers hope his condition doesn't deteriorate.

McCollum (back) will be available for Thursday's game against the Nets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.

Per Dwight Jaynes of NBC Sports Northwest, sources have said that McCollum is playing through an L3 vertebral transverse process fracture in his back for the past week, but the shooting guard hasn't appeared on any of the Trail Blazers' injury reports because of it. Even though he's handled heavy minutes loads over the past four games, McCollum hasn't been in top form, as he's averaging 16.5 points, 5.3 boards, 5.0 assists and 3.0 triples over that stretch while shooting 35.8 percent from the field. He'll likely continue to play through the issue in the regular-season finale and any postseason contests that might follow.

McCollum has been playing through a fracture in his lower back, NBC Sports Northwest reports.

The injury was not revealed until after Tuesday night's thrilling win over the Mavericks, but McCollum has reportedly been dealing with the fracture -- a vertebral transverse process fracture -- since Thursday. The guard struggled from the floor Tuesday night, hitting only 2-of-14 field goal attempts, but he knocked down a pair of free throws late in the fourth quarter to put the Blazers ahead by three with 3.9 seconds remaining.

McCollum recorded 29 points (11-21 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists and four rebounds in 38 minutes during Saturday's 122-117 loss to the Clippers.

Saturday was one of McCollum's better performances of the season. He led the team with an efficient 29 points and handed the ball over twice compared to eight assists. It was his third performance of the season with at least 29 points and eight dimes, and he had no such games last season.

McCollum registered 13 points (4-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one block in 40 minutes during Thursday's win over the Nuggets.

McCollum contributed to the win, but the star shooting guard struggled from the field and couldn't find his rhythm throughout the entire contest. This was his lowest-scoring performance since the restart of the league, but McCollum should continue to retain strong value across all formats due to his defined role as Portland's second-best scoring threat behind Damian Lillard.

McCollum totaled 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-0 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in SUnday's 128-124 loss to the Celtics.

McCollum wasn't the prolific scorer he was the last time out, but he did a little bit of everything in this one, per usual. On the season, the former first-round pick is averaging 22.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He'll look to keep adding to those totals Tuesday against the Rockets.

McCollum accumulated 33 points (14-21 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, three rebounds and two steals in 46 minutes during Friday's 140-135 overtime win against the Grizzlies.

McCollum was very arguably the best player on the floor in this one, producing an efficient scoring performance while making several extremely tough shots. His ability to get a bucket at any time and from anywhere is incredibly valuable for a Trail Blazers team hoping to sneak into the playoffs. McCollum was also impressive as a distributor and amassed a game high minute total.

McCollum had 21 points (7-12 FG, 3-4 3PT, 4-5 FT) and five assists in Sunday's scrimmage against Toronto.

With Damian Lillard (foot) out of action, McCollum took the reins at point guard and was the focal point of the Blazers' offense. He hit three of his four attempts from deep and added a pair of steals on the defensive end in 24 minutes.

McCollum posted 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3PT) in Thursday's scrimmage against the Pacers.

McCollum hit four of his seven attempts from two-point range, but he struggled from beyond the arc, as did backcourt mate Damian Lillard (1-5 3PT). Like the other Portland starters, McCollum was limited to 20 minutes of action.

McCollum scored 22 points (9-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 121-105 win over the Suns.

McCollum extended his stellar run of form since the All-Star break, and he's averaging 28.8 points, 7.3 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game in his last 10 outings. His numbers could decrease a bit with the return of Damian Lillard, but McCollum should be trusted as a premium scoring source moving forward if he keeps playing like this.

McCollum generated 19 points (7-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six assists, four rebounds and two steals across 34 minutes in Saturday's 123-11 loss to the Kings.

It wasn't the best shooting night for McCollum, but contributions from the charity stripe and a healthy supply of assists gave the shooting guard a decent total. At the moment, McCollum is still outperforming Damian Lillard as he gets back in the groove after a lengthy absence.

McCollum delivered 25 points (10-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block in 39 minutes during Friday's 127-117 loss at Phoenix.

McCollum has now scored 20 or more points in 10 straight games, but his numbers could decrease a bit now that Damian Lillard is healthy and back into the starting unit. McCollum also dished out 7.1 dimes per game during that 10-game stretch, but his role as a playmaker could be reduced moving forward, putting even more importance on his scoring capacities.

McCollum had 22 points (9-18 FG, 2-7 3PT, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists in Wednesday's win over Washington.

Coming off of a 41-point outing against Orlando on Monday, McCollum came back down to earth, but he still posted his ninth consecutive 20-plus-point game. McCollum's 18 field goal attempts were his fewest in any game since Feb. 11 against New Orleans.

McCollum scored a game-high 41 points (14-24 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 7-7 FT) while adding five rebounds, five assists and a steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 130-107 win over the Magic.

The 28-year-old continues to carry the offensive load for the Blazers while Damian Lillard (groin) is on the shelf. McCollum has scored at least 27 points in all six games Lillard has missed, averaging 33.3 points, 8.3 assists, 5.3 boards and 4.3 threes over that stretch.

McCollum collected 35 points (14-26 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 39 minutes during Saturday's 129-117 loss to the Hawks.

With Damian Lillard (groin) sidelined over the past five games, McCollum has averaged 31.8 points, 9.0 assists and 5.4 rebounds in 39.0 minutes, but the Trail Blazers have only managed to post a 1-4 record over this stretch. Saturday's effort marked McCollum's ninth 30-point performance of the season.

McCollum had 28 points (11-27 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight assists and three rebounds in 38 minutes during Thursday's 106-100 loss to the Pacers.

McCollum was unable to keep his run of double-doubles going Thursday but still managed a game-high 28 points. The continued absence of Damian Lillard (groin) is feeding McCollum's success right now, as he is putting up top-40 numbers over the past two weeks. An interesting side note is that during the two week period, he is shooting just 71 percent from the free-throw line. This is well below anything he has done for his career and an improvement certainly seems inevitable.

McCollum accumulated 28 points (10-24 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 assists, four rebounds and three blocks across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 118-106 loss to the Celtics.

Tuesday's effort marked the first time in McCollum's career that he's gone for three straight double-doubles. With Damian Lillard (groin) sidelined, it's been necessary for McCollum's responsibilities to skyrocket, and he has a 35.0 percent usage rate across the past three contests.

McCollum finished with 41 points (15-30 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 5-8 FT), nine boards, 12 assists, and one steal in 43 minutes of a 107-104 win against Detroit on Sunday.

McCollum's scoring outburst helped his team secure a comeback win in a game where he also logged a career best in assists. McCollum has established himself as a top-notch distributor with his second straight double-double while Damian Lillard (groin) has been sidelined. He'll likely continue as the primary option in the Trail Blazers' offense against the Celtics on Tuesday.
