The Raptors continue to tinker with the starting lineup as they try to find the best fit after the addition of Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett. With Pascal Siakam (back) out, Quickley, Barrett and Scottie Barnes slid over to create a small-ball approach with Schroder manning the point. We may see similar schemes if Siakam remains out, as the loss of Jakob Poeltl (ankle) necessitates some frontcourt sacrifices.

Schroder has come off the bench in five of his last six games, but is continuing to play meaningful minutes off the pine. He's averaging 14.0 points on 55.3 percent shooting, 3.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists over 30.8 minutes per game in a reserve role this season.

Schroder picked up a spot start Saturday following a trade that sent O.G. Schroder is averaging 13.4 points, 7.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game over his last 10 appearances.

The Raptors traded O.G. Anunoby to the Knicks as part of a package deal for Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett on Saturday, both of whom aren't yet available for Toronto. Despite Schroder's inclusion in the starting lineup Saturday, it wouldn't be surprising if he returned to the bench for Monday's game versus Cleveland with some increased competition coming to town.

For the first time this season, Schroder won't be in the Raptors' starting lineup. Prior to that stretch, he had posted double-digit field-goal tries in 13 consecutive games.

Schroder recorded his sixth double-double of the season, scoring at least 20 points for the first time in almost three weeks. Locked in as the starting point guard in Toronto, Schroder is putting together a serviceable season, currently sitting just outside the top 100 in standard leagues. While he won't set the world on fire most nights, he does more than enough to warrant a roster spot in all formats.

Schroder provided nine points (4-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 112-103 loss to Miami.

Schroder has now shot 33.3 percent or less from the field in four straight games and he was unable to crack double-digits points for the second time in three games. He's usually able to contribute in other ways, though his five assists Wednesday was below the 7.0 assists per game average he has on the year. Schroeder and the Raptors will look to bounce back Friday against the Hornets.

Schroder finished with 10 points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and nine assists across 37 minutes during Friday's 119-106 loss to the Knicks.

Schroder led all Raptors in assists while finishing one dime short of a double-double and ending as one of five players with a double-digit point total in a losing effort. Schroder has tallied at least 10 points and eight assists in seven games this year while handing out at least nine dimes in three straight contests.

Schroder accumulated eight points (3-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, 12 assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 112-105 win over the Suns.

The 12 assists were a season high, and it's the first time Schroder has recorded double-digit dimes since Nov. 2. The 30-year guard is proving he can still handle a starting role in the NBA, and he's averaging a career-best 6.9 assists through 19 games while also contributing 16.2 points and 1.8 threes (his best showing in those categories since 2019-20), 3.1 boards and 0.9 steals a night.

Schroder logged 14 points (5-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 115-103 loss to the Nets.

It's worth mentioning that Schroder banged his left knee Tuesday, and at one point he was sporting a heavy wrap on the sidelines. However, he returned to play and seemed to be moving around well, so it appears that he was able to shake off the bruise. Schroder has done a solid job facilitating for the Raptors this season, as Tuesday was his fifth game of the campaign with at least nine assists.

Schroder logged 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Sunday's 105-102 loss to the Cavaliers.

Schroder continues to excel as Toronto's starting point guard, and Malachi Flynn has yet to put any real pressure on him for more minutes. Over the last six games, only Jakob Poeltl and Scottie Barnes have been ranked higher for the Raptors in nine-category leagues. In that span, Schroder is averaging 20.3 points, 4.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers.

Schroder ended Tuesday's 126-107 loss to Orlando with 24 points (8-13 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and one assist across 27 minutes.

Schroder was arguably the only positive on a night to forget for Toronto, scoring a team-high 24 points. He has now scored at least 17 points in three straight games, getting things back on track after tallying just 13 points across his previous two games. Despite the lack of overall upside, Schroder remains a must-roster player, due in part to the fact he has very little competition for minutes.

Schroder ended Friday's 108-105 loss to the Celtics with 23 points (9-19 FG, 5-11 3Pt), seven rebounds and six assists over 35 minutes.

Schroder has been a solid bargain for Toronto after signing a two-year, $25.42 million deal over the offseason. Schroder has appeared in all 12 games so far this campaign, compiling impressive averages of 15.5 points, 7.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.9 three-pointers.

He has a relatively easy matchup against the Wizards on Monday.

Schroder made his presence felt on both ends of the court but was particularly good as a scorer, as his 24 points tied his season-high mark, and it also meant he had scored at least 20 points in two of his last three outings. Schroder has excelled as Toronto's starting point guard this season after dishing out at least 10 assists in four of his first seven appearances.

Schroder supplied 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Thursday's 114-99 loss to the 76ers.

Schroder once again led Toronto as a floor general, leading all players in Thursday's contest in assists while posting a double-double in a loss to Philadelphia. Schroder has been the leading distributor for the Raptors this season, handing out 10 or more assists in four of his six outings while posting a double-double in all four of those contests.

Schroder registered 24 points (9-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 130-111 win over Milwaukee.

The veteran guard is thriving in the starting point guard role for the Raptors, recording his third double-double in five games to begin his Toronto tenure. That's as many double-doubles as Schroder managed in the previous two seasons combined, and his career high is just 10, set with the Hawks in 2016-17. While Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam are also taking on more distribution duties as point-forwards this year, Schroder is finding more than enough opportunities to facilitate the offense, and he seems headed for career-best assist numbers in his age-30 season.

Schroder totaled 15 points (5-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Saturday's 114-107 loss to Philadelphia.

It was the second straight double-double for Schroder, though he once again struggled from the field and has shot just 32 percent from the floor in his last two games. He did have 10 of his points in the fourth quarter, though he didn't shoot the ball particularly well in the frame as the Raptors struggled to get themselves within striking distance of the 76ers. Losers of two straight, Schroder and the Raps will look to bounce back Monday against the Trail Blazers.

Schroder registered 22 points (8-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and seven assists in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 97-94 win over the Timberwolves.

Schroder led all Raptors players in scoring and assists while connecting on a team-high-tying mark from three in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Timberwolves. Schroder, in his first season with Toronto this year, is coming off a 2022-23 campaign where he averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 66 appearances with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Schroder scored seven points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding 11 assists and three rebounds in 23 minutes during Friday's 134-98 preseason win over the Wizards.

The veteran guard mainly left the scoring to Scottie Barnes (foot) and Pascal Siakam, instead dishing double-digit assists for the first time in four exhibition contests. Schroder is replacing Fred VanVleet as Toronto's starting point guard, but he's unlikely to replace FVV's production in that category over the long haul -- VanVleet averaged at least 6.3 assists a game in each of the last four seasons, topping out at a career-high 7.2 in 2022-23, while Schroder has surpassed 4.6 APG only once in the last five campaigns.

Schroder recorded seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes during Sunday's 134-93 preseason win over Cairns.

Schroder started once again during Sunday's exhibition matchup but was held to a single-digit scoring total for a second consecutive matchup to begin the preseason. The 30-year-old joined Toronto during the offseason after averaging 12.6 points, 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 30.1 minutes per game with the Lakers last year, and he appears to be the favorite to start at point guard to begin the 2023-24 regular season.

Schroder agreed to join the Raptors on a two-year, $26 million contract on Friday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

While he has had a few nice moments throughout the playoffs, his inability to provide consistent production remains an issue. No team has ever come back to win a series after trailing 3-0, something the Lakers will have to do should they hope to continue their season.

Schroder will come off the bench for Game 2 versus the Nuggets on Thursday, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.

A lineup change was expected for Thursday night and this one isn't a huge surprise. With Jarred Vanderbilt entering the starting five, the Lakers suddenly have another defensive presence to slow down Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Schroder was ejected from Game 6 against the Warriors on Friday.

Schroder was already on a technical foul when he had a mild altercation with Draymond Green in which the Golden State forward pushed a ball into his face. Schroder finished the night with three points, five assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes.

The backup point guard's 19 points were his most so far in the playoffs, and it appears he has a more favorable matchup in Round 2 than he did against Memphis. Either way, Schroder remains a streaky scorer, so it may be a stretch to expect this type of production from him moving forward.

Unfortunately, Mike Conley was able to once again tie the game with three crucial free throws, before the Lakers were able to emerge triumphant following an overtime period. Schroder ended with 21 points, cobbling together his best game in quite some time. While he continues to come off the bench, the coaching staff is obviously comfortable handing him starter minutes if and when the situation arises.

This was Schroder's first time hitting the 20-point threshold since he scored 26 against the Warriors on Feb. 11.

Schroder stepped up to help keep the game competitive, leading Los Angeles in scoring and assists en route to his first double-double of the campaign. It was a nice bounce-back performance for the veteran point guard, as he had averaged just 10.0 points on 34.6 percent shooting from the field over his previous eight games. However, he'll likely move to a bench role as soon as new teammate D'Angelo Russell is ready to suit up, which will likely be Saturday against Golden State.

Schroder posted 10 points (2-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes during Monday's 121-104 loss to the Nets.

Schroder was able to reach double-digit points for the second straight game Monday, but that was largely due to his five free-throw makes. The point guard struggled massively from the field, making just two of 15 tries. It was his worst shooting effort in what has been an ugly 10-game stretch during which he has hit just 32.1 percent of his shot attempts while averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 boards and 1.1 steals across 33.9 minutes.

The veteran point guard's biggest bucket came with under 10 seconds remaining, when he stripped Desmond Bane near midcourt and drove the ball to the hoop for an and-one that game the Lakers a two-point lead. Schroder had been struggling coming into the contest, so this was a nice bounce-back performance that could get him back on track. Over his previous four contests, he had averaged just 7.3 points on 29.7 percent shooting over 32.0 minutes.

Schroder ended Sunday's 113-112 loss to Philadelphia with eight points (3-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three assists over 31 minutes.

Schroder gave way quickly to Russell Westbrook in Sunday's loss. The veteran guard was expected to have more of an impact during Patrick Beverley's (illness) absence, but Schroder's production has actually regressed significantly over the past two games. After seven consecutive games with double-digit scoring, he's only mustered a total of 15 points over his past two contests.

Schroder provided 27 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 136-134 victory over the Kings.

Schroder had an excellent evening, capped by cinching the contest at the charity stripe. Wven though Russell Westbrook came off the bench to collect 15 assists, Schroder aptly directed the offense and had one of his best scoring performances of the season. We often saw Schroder and Westbrook share the backcourt, and though the Lakers like the energy of Patrick Beverley in the starting lineup, a Schroder-Westbrook backcourt seems to be a better fit for the offense.

Schroder amassed 32 points (8-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 12-14 FT), four rebounds, two assists and four steals in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 112-109 victory over Miami.

The Lakers were once again without Anthony Davis (foot) and also faced Miami without LeBron James, who sat out with a non-COVID illness. They were nonetheless able to pull out the victory on the strength of big contributions by Schroder, who led the team with a season-high 32 points on efficient shooting from both the field and the charity stripe. The veteran point guard came up especially big when it mattered most, putting up 14 points in the fourth quarter, including six points in the final 45 seconds. Schroder was also a menace on defense, racking up a season-high four steals and helping to hold Tyler Herro to just nine points. Schroder will likely take a back seat when James is able to return, but he should continue to take on an important role as a secondary scorer and playmaker -- over his past four games, he's averaging 18.5 points and 4.5 assists per contest.

Schroder produced 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, nine assists and three steals across 32 minutes during Friday's 130-121 victory over Atlanta.

Schroder handed out a season-high nine assists in the victory, turning in one of his better performances in recent memory. He is outside the top 200 over that span, offering upside in assists and free throw percentage only.

Schroder was one of six Lakers players that scored in double digits in this one, and that has been a noticeable trend for the German playmaker -- he has registered 10 or more points in all but two games in 2020-21, though those two games have come over Schroder's last four appearances. He has been a reliable scoring threat in the backcourt but, as a secondary option in an attack led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Schroder's upside won't be as high as it was last season when he played for the Thunder.

Thursday marked Schroder's worst performance of the season. It was his first time scoring in single digits and also his first time dishing fewer than three assists. He should have an easier time against the Bulls on Friday, as Chicago has the sixth-worst defensive rating (114.2).

Schroder was just the third Laker to score in the double digits in the second of back-to-back games against Memphis. The guard's offense hasn't been a necessity like it was with the Thunder and has led to Schroder averaging his lowest field-goal attempts per game since 2015. However, Schroder is averaging nearly one more rebound and one more assist per game since moving into a starting role in Los Angeles.

Schroder totaled 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists in a win over the Spurs on Wednesday.

He also led the team with five turnovers, but Schroder nonetheless enjoyed a fine night on offense, going 9-of-15 from the field and drilling a season-high three three-pointers. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to his Lakers career, averaging 17.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 29.6 minutes through five games.

Schroder scored 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3 PT, 1-1 FT) to go with four rebounds, four assists, a steal, and three turnovers in 25 minutes of Sunday's 127-91 win over Minnesota.

Schroder had a fairly casual outing as the Lakers took control of this game early and never relented. The guard is enjoying life so far in LA as a locked in starter providing for two of the best players in the game.

Schroder posted 14 points (5-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds and eight assists across 28 minutes in Tuesday's 116-109 loss to the Clippers.

The arrival of Schroder radically changes how the Lakers operate. Despite dropping the first game, Schroder looked poised as the floor general, a role usually reserved for LeBron James. As long as Paul Vogel continues to give Schroder starts, he'll deliver with a number of assists and points.

Schroder will start Tuesday's season opener against the Clippers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

It's not overly surprising news, but it's still notable since the 27-year-old finished as the runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year with Oklahoma City last season. Schroder averaged 18.9 points, 4.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 30.8 minutes during the 2019-20 campaign.

Schroder is nursing a sprained ankle, so the Lakers are unsurprisingly erring on the side of caution here. He will have several more days to recover before the regular season tips off Tuesday against the Clippers. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will get the start Friday in his absence.

Schroder won't return to Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns due to a left ankle injury, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.

The specifics of the injury remain unclear, and the 27-year-old will be further evaluated following the contest. Notably, he improved his three-point shooting, hitting 38.5 percent of his 5.0 attempts per game. Keeping that efficiency steady will be a key for Schroder in playing alongside LeBron, whether the former starts or not.

The Lakers announced the acquisition of Schroder from the Thunder in exchange for Danny Green and the draft rights of Jaden McDaniels, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.

The trade has been agreed upon since Sunday morning, but the deal is now finalized with the selection of McDaniels, who was ultimately sent to the Timberwolves. After combining for 19 points in the first two games of this playoff series, Schroder has been sensational. He repeatedly blew past defenders off the dribble and drained several treys, coming up clutch with buckets galore in the second half. Moreover, Schroder can likely be expected to stay in attack mode during Wednesday's Game 5.

Schroder finished with 29 points (10-23 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 7-9 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Saturday's 119-107 victory in Game 23 over the Rockets.

Schroder finally got things going on the offensive end as the Thunder stole Game 3 and are now only one win away from leveling the series. The Thunder are running a very tight rotation at the moment, resulting in heavy minutes for Schroder despite coming off the bench. His value is typically reliant on his scoring numbers; however, he can be a sneaky source of assists and is worth considering in daily formats.

Schroder supplied 13 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists in 32 minutes during Thursday's 111-98 Game 2 loss to the Rockets.

Schroder has combined for just 19 points on 24 field-goal attempts through the first two games of the first round and has handed out nine dimes versus six turnovers. He hasn't been able to play at the same level that he did in the regular season thus far in the series. Still, he has earned 32 minutes in each of these first two tilts, so it seems likely that coach Billy Donovan will continue playing Schroder no shortage of minutes.

The Thunder sixth man had been away from the team since Aug. 3 to witness the birth of his daughter, missing Oklahoma City's past five games a result. Hamidou Diallo and Terrance Ferguson will likely notice the biggest downturns in playing time once Schroder is ready to go during the postseason.

The combo guard should have a good opportunity to raise his production Tuesday, when the Thunder take on a hapless Bulls squad that will likely be without several key players.

Moreover, he's doing so efficiently and is drilling a career-best 46.7 percent of his attempts from the field, 36.2 percent of his threes and 81.8 percent of his free throws.

One game after going for 25 points, six assists and five threes, Schroder produced solid numbers in those three categories once again. The 26-year old is producing better value than he did last season thanks in part to his 18.3 points per game, and 46.5 percent shooting from the field. Sitting at top 150 value in nine-category leagues, Schroder gets a bump in value in eight-category leagues due to his 2.8 turnovers per game.

Another night, another game where Schroder explodes off the bench as a scoring machine. The German point guard has scored in double digits in every single outing since mid-November, and he is playing heavy minutes off the bench mostly due to his scoring abilities. That said, he was coming off four straight games where he scored under 20 points, so this outing could act as a confidence booster for him.

The 26-year-old will look to get back on track Monday against the Timberwolves.
