Isaiah Stewart Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Pistons vs Hawks game today with our National Basketball Association injury report.Nov 17, 2025
Joining first unit Monday
Stewart will start in Monday's game against Indiana.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons are instead having Paul Reed come off the bench Monday, with Stewart filling out the frontcourt alongside Jalen Duren. Stewart has averaged 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 2.0 assists in 24.8 minutes per game across three outings as a starter this season.
Nov 14, 2025
Scores 14 points with seven boards
Stewart provided 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes during Friday's 114-105 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart looked great in his return from a three-game absence, although with Detroit's next two matches coming as a Monday-Tuesday, back-to-back set, there's a chance Stewart will be load-managed for one of those. If he needs to skip a game on the back-to-back, Paul Reed will have some more time to shine. Reed finished Friday's win with 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, three blocks and three turnovers in 25 minutes.
Nov 14, 2025
Will play Friday
Stewart (ankle) is available for Friday's game against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is ready to return from a three-game absence with an ankle sprain, and a significant role in the frontcourt likely awaits him in the absence of Jalen Duren (ankle). Stewart has averaged 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 24.8 minutes per contest across three games as a starter this season.
Nov 13, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Stewart (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart continues to nurse a left ankle sprain that has sidelined him the past three games, but the questionable tag suggests he's nearing a return. If Stewart is unable to suit up, Paul Reed should handle most of the frontcourt minutes behind Jalen Duren who is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
Nov 12, 2025
Out Wednesday
Stewart (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Hunter Patterson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was previously doubtful, so his absence doesn't come as much of a surprise. With Jalen Duren (ankle) also sidelined, Paul Reed and Isaac Jones should see plenty of frontcourt action. Stewart's next chance to play will come Friday against Philadelphia.
Nov 11, 2025
Doubtful to play vs. Chicago
Stewart (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been dealing with a left ankle sprain, which has kept him out of the team's last two games. The doubtful tag is a step in the right direction, but it wouldn't be surprising if he sits this one out as well. If Stewart is unable to suit up, Paul Reed would step in as Jalen Duren's (ankle) backup at center.
Nov 10, 2025
Another absence coming
Stewart (ankle) will not play Monday against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will end up missing both games of this back-to-back set, his only two absences of the season thus far. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against Chicago. The Pistons will be shorthanded Monday, and the team could rely on Paul Reed to soak up some minutes behind Jalen Duren.
Nov 9, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Stewart (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was initially listed as doubtful and will ultimately sit out his first game of the season Sunday due to a left ankle sprain. His absence leaves backup center duties to Paul Reed and Isaac Jones behind starter Jalen Duren.
Nov 8, 2025
Doubtful for Sunday
Stewart (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart sustained a sprained left ankle in Friday's win over the Nets and is likely to miss his first game of the season. If the big man joins Tobias Harris (ankle) on the sidelines, Ronald Holland, Javonte Green and Bobi Klintman are candidates for an uptick in minutes.
Nov 7, 2025
Won't return Friday
Stewart (ankle) will not return to Friday's game against the Nets, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will end his evening with four points (2-2 FG), three rebounds, one assist and one turnover across nine minutes. The Pistons' next two games come as a Sunday-Monday, back-to-back set, so there's a chance Stewart will need to spend at least one more game on the inactive list. Ronald Holland started the second half of Friday's game, so he'll see a boost while Beef Stew is out.
Nov 7, 2025
Questionable to return Friday
Stewart is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Nets due to a left ankle sprain, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart rolled his ankle during the first half and exited the game after nine minutes of play. If he's not able to return, Ronald Holland and Caris LeVert could see a bump in minutes.
Nov 3, 2025
Double-doubles with four blocks
Stewart posted 26 points (9-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 14 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and one turnover in 34 minutes during Monday's 114-106 win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Stewart got the start Monday with Tobias Harris nursing an ankle injury, and he made the most of the opportunity, notching his first double-double since the season-opener. If Harris needs to miss Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Stewart would be someone worth grabbing in most leagues.
Nov 3, 2025
Enters starting lineup
Stewart is starting Monday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is drawing his first start of the 2025-26 season after it was announced Tobias Harris (ankle) would miss Monday's clash. Stewart is off to a decent start to the new campaign, averaging 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22.0 minutes over six appearances.
Oct 30, 2025
Quiet in loss
Stewart posted nine points (4-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 18 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 135-116 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has not recorded double digits in points or rebounds ever since his 20/10 explosion in the opener, and he fouled out for the second time this season, inhibiting his ability to contribute. Stewart has been a steady source of blocks, averaging 2.0 swats per contest so far, but look for him to up his production in the offensive department Saturday against the Mavericks.
Oct 23, 2025
Erupts in loss to Bulls
Stewart finished Wednesday's 115-111 loss to the Bulls with 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 25 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jalen Duren had a tough outing in 20 minutes, and he had four fouls to his name. Stewart, who is expected to be Detroit's key frontcourt reserve with minutes at the four and five, stepped up as a result and finished second to Cade Cunningham (23) in points scored. Stewart averaged just 19.1 minutes per game during the 2024-25 regular season, but he looks hungry to fight for a larger role.
Oct 14, 2025
Coming off bench
Stewart will come off the bench in Tuesday's preseason game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Jalen Duren is back from a hamstring injury Tuesday, forcing Stewart to the bench. With Duren healthy, Stewart very much lacks streaming appeal for the start of the regular season.
Oct 6, 2025
Scores 12 points in spot start
Stewart closed with 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one block in 18 minutes during Monday's 128-112 victory over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was handed the starting nod, replacing Jalen Duren, who was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Now saddled as the primary backup behind Duren, Stewart's opportunities could be somewhat limited this season. He averaged just 19.9 minutes per contest last season, a number that seems like a potential high point for the upcoming season, given the ascension of Duren. With that said, Stewart provides the Pistons with a consistent defensive presence off the bench, a key factor as the team looks to push for as many wins as possible in what could be a weakened Eastern Conference.
Oct 6, 2025
Starting Monday
Stewart will start in Monday's preseason game against the Grizzlies, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old will join Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson and Tobias Harris in the starting lineup for the Pistons' preseason opener. Stewart took a step back in the 2024-25 campaign, during which he averaged 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks across 19.9 minutes per game in 72 regular-season appearances (four starts).
Sep 29, 2025
Good to go for camp
Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon said Monday that Stewart (knee) will be ready for training camp.
ANALYSIS
Stewart didn't play in the Pistons' final five games of their first-round playoff matchup with the Knicks due to right knee inflammation. Now healthy again, Stewart is expected to reprise his role as the backup center behind Jalen Duren. During the 2024-25 regular season, Stewart compiled averages of 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 19.9 minutes across 72 appearances in 2024-25.
Apr 12, 2025
Out for season finale
Stewart (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss a second consecutive game, and considering that the Pistons don't have anything to play for in this game, he's going to rest and aim to get ready for the start of the playoffs on April 19. Stewart's absence should open up minutes for Paul Reed as the backup center to Jalen Duren.
Apr 11, 2025
Won't play Friday
Stewart is out for Friday's game versus the Bucks due to right knee inflammation.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's absence should open up minutes for Paul Reed as the backup center to Jalen Duren. Stewart's next chance to suit up is Sunday's regular-season finale against Milwaukee.
Apr 10, 2025
Suiting up Thursday
Stewart (knee) is available for Thursday's game against the Knicks, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will shake off a questionable tag Thursday due to right knee inflammation. The 23-year-old big man has averaged 8.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 blocks across 20.3 minutes per contest in his last 10 appearances (one start).
Apr 9, 2025
Questionable for Thursday
Stewart (knee) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is coming off two strong performances for the Pistons, nearing double-doubles in the last two games. However, the veteran big man is in danger of missing Thursday's game against New York due to a knee issue. Detroit will likely turn to Jalen Duren and Paul Reed to help pick up the slack in the frontcourt.
Apr 7, 2025
Back to bench Monday
Stewart is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Kings.
ANALYSIS
After piling up 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's 109-103 loss to the Grizzlies, Stewart will revert back to his usual role off the bench in the return of a Jalen Duren (leg). Over his last eight appearances as a reserve, Stewart has averaged 7.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 blocks in 17.6 minutes.
Apr 6, 2025
Thrives in spot start
Stewart amassed 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals over 34 minutes during Saturday's 109-103 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart returned from a two-game suspension, moving into the starting lineup after Jalen Duren was ruled out due to a leg injury. It was just his fourth time starting this season but he certainly made the most of his opportunity. He matched his season-high with 16 points, bringing his usual tenacity on the defensive end. As long as Duren is sidelined, Stewart should continue to play a sizeable role.
Apr 5, 2025
Starting vs. Memphis
Stewart is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart, who's returning from a two-game suspension, will move to the first unit due to the absence of Jalen Duren (lower leg). The defensive specialist averages 6.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocks per game across 14 outings since the beginning of March.
Apr 1, 2025
Suspended two games
Stewart was suspended two games by the NBA, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was ejected in the second quarter of Sunday's game against Minnesota after a verbal altercation became a physical scuffle involving several players. With Stewart suspended for Wednesday against the Thunder and Friday versus the Raptors, he'll be available to return Saturday against the Grizzlies.
Mar 30, 2025
Ejected vs. Timberwolves
Stewart was ejected in the second quarter of Sunday's game against Minnesota, Jace Frederick of St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was ejected along with Ron Holland, Marcus Sasser, Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid, as a verbal altercation between Reid and Holland turned physical. Stewart will finish the game with zero points (0-2 FG), four rebounds, one assist and one block across seven minutes. Paul Reed will likely see an uptick in playing time the rest of the way due to Stewart being sidelined.
Mar 24, 2025
Scores nine off bench
Stewart closed Sunday's 136-130 win over New Orleans with nine points (4-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 19 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been limited in terms of workloads, but he's certainly made the most of his minutes. Over his last five outings, he's been a top-75 player in nine-category formats in just 18.7 minutes per game with averages of 7.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 blocks on 78.3 percent shooting from the field.
Mar 10, 2025
Swats five shots Sunday
Stewart amassed five points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and five blocks across 19 minutes during Sunday's 119-112 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart matched his career-high mark of five blocks in just 19 minutes, a mark he's hit three times. Apart from a bump in defensive production, Stewart has been pretty quiet over his last 10 appearances. In that stretch, he has posted averages of 6.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.3 blocks in 18.7 minutes per contest.
Mar 5, 2025
Will face Clippers
Stewart (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Stewart will play in Wednesday's contest after initially being probable due to a lower back contusion. Stewart hasn't scored in double figures since Feb. 12 (six games).
Mar 4, 2025
Likely to play Wednesday
Stewart (back) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart didn't play in Monday's win over the Jazz due to a low back contusion, but he is on track to return Wednesday. He has averaged 4.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 2.5 blocks over 18.5 minutes per game since the All-Star break.
Mar 3, 2025
Not playing Monday
Stewart (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is working through a lower back contusion. He'll be held out of Monday's contest and look to be available for Wednesday's game against the Clippers. Paul Reed should see a significant uptick in playing time as the Pistons' backup center behind Jalen Duren due to Stewart being sidelined.
Mar 3, 2025
Iffy for Monday
Stewart is questionable for Monday's game against the Jazz with a lower back contusion.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was a late addition to the injury report which is a big concern for his fantasy managers. If he does manage to suit up, he could offer a bit more upside than usual, as Tobias Harris is out for personal reasons.
Feb 27, 2025
Records two blocks in win
Stewart posted four points (1-2 FG, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 20 minutes in Wednesday's 117-97 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart continues to make an impact outside of just scoring. The physical big man has blocked two or more shots in each of the last five games, his longest multi-block streak since 2021. Jalen Duren is the unquestioned starter at center, but Stewart's intensity off the bench is incredibly valuable for a Pistons team looking to make a playoff push.
Feb 12, 2025
Scores 14 points in blowout
Stewart accumulated 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 132-92 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart had arguably his best game in more than three months, making the most of what ended up being a favorable matchup. Despite the mammoth victory, Stewart still logged just 15 minutes, somewhat disappointing given what could have been. Jalen Duren has been a pillar of consistency over the past month, limiting Stewart to a backup role only.
Feb 3, 2025
Scores 10 points Monday
Stewart notched 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes during Monday's 132-130 loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Stewart scored double-digits for the first time since late November, highlighting just what a struggle it has been for him to deliver viable production. With Jalen Duren playing the most consistent basketball of his young career, Stewart has been relegated to backup minutes. In 20.2 minutes per game, he is averaging just 5.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
Jan 31, 2025
Suspended Friday
The NBA announced Friday that Stewart received a one-game suspension for accruing his sixth Flagrant Foul point of the 2024-25 season.
ANALYSIS
Stewart won't suit up against Dallas after having been ejected from Wednesday's loss to the Pacers. The big man was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul after he shoved the Pacers' Thomas Bryant to the floor while fighting for a rebound. Stewart then appeared to make a gesture of shooting a gun toward Indiana's bench before raising his middle finger to the Indiana crowd, per Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com. Paul Reed should see a bump in minutes with Stewart on the shelf Friday.
Jan 29, 2025
Ejected Wednesday
Stewart was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Pacers after being assessed a Flagrant 2, Pat Boylan of Bally Sports Indiana reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart hit Thomas Bryant and knocked him to the floor during the contest and was ejected following a review of the play. He'll end the contest with one point (1-2 FT) and one assist across eight minutes. Stewart's next chance to play will come Friday against Dallas. Expect Paul Reed and Ron Holland to see more action the rest of the way.
Jan 16, 2025
Boosts on glass off bench in loss
Stewart posted two points (1-4 FG), 13 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 21 minutes during Thursday's 111-100 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart shined in his time off the bench Thursday despite only tallying a pair of points, leading all bench players in rebounds and assists while finishing as one of two Pistons with a double-digit rebound total. Stewart has hauled in 10 or more boards in five contests this season, four of which have occurred coming off the bench.
Jan 9, 2025
Four swats off bench
Stewart produced six points (3-5 FG), four rebounds, two assists, four blocks and two steals in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart recorded a team-high four blocks Wednesday despite coming off the bench. Across his last five outings, Stewart is averaging 5.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.6 minutes.
Dec 28, 2024
Playing Saturday against Denver
Stewart (knee) is available to play against the Nuggets on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will return Saturday from a four-game absence due to a left knee sprain and will serve as the Pistons' top backup center behind Jalen Duren. Stewart is averaging 6.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals over 21.4 minutes per game this season.
Dec 27, 2024
Expected to play Saturday
Stewart (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday's game versus the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is expected to return to action Saturday after missing Detroit's previous four contests due to a sprained left knee. Stewart's potential return could result in decreased playing time for Jalen Duren and Paul Reed.
Dec 26, 2024
Listed out for Thursday
Stewart (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Stewart hasn't take the court since Dec. 16 while dealing with a left knee sprain. His next chance to play will arrive Saturday in Denver.
Dec 25, 2024
Questionable for Thursday
Stewart (knee) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Stewart may miss a fourth straight game due to a sprained left knee. If he's downgraded to out again, Paul Reed would be the primary backup center behind Jalen Duren.
Dec 22, 2024
Won't play Monday vs. Lakers
Stewart (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss his third straight game due to a sprained left knee that he suffered against the Heat on Dec. 16. His next opportunity to play will be Thursday against Sacramento. Paul Reed will continue to serve as the Pistons' backup center behind Jalen Duren due to Stewart's injury.
Dec 20, 2024
Ruled out Saturday against Suns
Stewart (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Stewart hyperextended his left knee during the Pistons' 125-124 win over the Heat this past Monday. He'll miss a second straight game as a result of the injury, and his next opportunity to play will be Monday against the Lakers. Paul Reed will continue to handle backup duties behind Jalen Duren due to Stewart's absence.
Dec 19, 2024
Ruled out Thursday
Stewart (knee) won't play in Thursday's game against Utah.
ANALYSIS
Stewart hyperextended his left knee during Monday's game against the Heat and has been diagnosed with a knee sprain. Paul Reed should handle backup center duties in Stewart's place. Stewart's next chance to play will come Saturday at Phoenix.
Dec 16, 2024
Won't return Monday
Stewart has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Heat due to a hyperextended left knee. He'll finish the game with four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds across seven minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart grabbed his left knee and limped back to the locker room following an awkward landing on a shot contest. With the big man sidelined, Ron Holland and Paul Reed are candidates for an increased role off the bench. Stewart will likely undergo further testing on his knee, though his next chance to play will come Thursday against Utah.
Dec 16, 2024
Heads to locker room Monday
Stewart appeared to injure his left knee during the second quarter of Monday's game against the Heat before heading to the locker room, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart grabbed his left knee and limped back to the locker room with 9:10 remaining in the second quarter following an off-balance landing on a shot contest. If the big man remains sidelined, Ron Holland and Paul Reed are candidates for an increased role off the bench.
Dec 16, 2024
Returns to bench
Stewart won't start Monday's game against the Heat, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jalen Duren (wrist) back in action, Stewart will shift to the bench. However, he could see extended time, as Tobias Harris (hand) is out, though Ausar Thompson replaced Harris in the starting lineup. As a reserve this season (23 games), Stewart has averaged 5.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 20.8 minutes per game.
Dec 12, 2024
Flops in chance with first unit
Stewart finished with two points (1-2 FG), five rebounds and one block across 27 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart squandered a chance with the first unit while filling in at center for injured starter Jalen Duren (wrist), failing to make a noticeable impact in the box score during 27 minutes of action. Over 16 games with Duren out of action since 2023-24, Stewart is now averaging 10.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 blocks and 1.2 three-pointers in 29.5 minutes per contest dating back to a year ago. Stewart has plenty of upside when it comes to racking up swats and boards when given additional playing time, so despite Thursday's dud in Detroit's starting lineup, the 23-year-old big man would remain worthy of streaming consideration if Duren is unable to return for Monday's tilt with the Heat.
Dec 12, 2024
Starting sans Duren Thursday
Stewart will enter the starting lineup in Thursday's game against the Celtics, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jalen Duren (wrist) sidelined, Stewart will pick up his third start of the season. In his previous two starts, the big man averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting 70.6 percent from the field across 33.0 minutes per contest.
Dec 5, 2024
Unproductive again in loss
Stewart logged two points (1-2 FG), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 130-120 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart continues to produce very little, having now scored single digits in seven straight games. Although Jalen Duren has also struggled, Stewart has been unable to make the most of what could have been an unexpected opportunity. While his role should remain relatively consistent, Stewart's lack of per-minute upside will likely limit what he can deliver on a nightly basis.
Nov 22, 2024
Productive in loss Thursday
Stewart closed Thursday's 123-121 overtime loss to the Hornets with 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The big man tied his second-highest scoring mark of the year while surpassing Jalen Duren in playing time for the second time in the club's last three games. Stewart scored in double figures for the first time since Nov. 12, and he stuffed the stat sheet while shooting a perfect 100 percent from the field. In his last five outings, the 23-year-old has averaged 8.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks while shooting 68.0 percent from the field across 22.2 minutes per game off the bench.
Nov 17, 2024
Coming off bench
Stewart will not start Sunday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was listed in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game, but the released starting lineup seems to have been an error as it has been confirmed Jalen Duren will get the start. Stewart is averaging 8.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per games over his last three contests off the bench.
Nov 17, 2024
Will start Sunday
Stewart will enter the starting lineup in Sunday's game against the Wizards, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
In his third start of the 2024-25 campaign, Stewart will replace Jalen Duren in the starting five. Stewart has played significant minutes while mainly coming off the bench this season, during which he has averaged 6.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 22.0 minutes per game in 14 regular-season appearances (two starts).
Nov 13, 2024
Ejected after Flagrant 2
Stewart has been ejected from Wednesday's game against the Bucks after being issued a Flagrant 2 foul. He finishes the contest with nine points (4-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds and a block across 14 minutes off the bench.
ANALYSIS
Stewart pulled down on Giannis Antetokounmpo's jersey as Antetokounmpo went up for a dunk and was given a Flagrant 2 penalty, ending his night prematurely. While Stewart is sidelined, expect Paul Reed to see more action. Assuming he isn't handed further punishment from the NBA, Stewart will be back on the hardwood Friday at Toronto.
Nov 12, 2024
Upgraded to available
Stewart (ankle) is available for Tuesday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Stewart has been upgraded from probable to available. However, Jalen Duren (ankle) is cleared to return following a two-game absence, so Stewart will likely revert to a reserve role. In nine games off the bench this season, Stewart has averaged 3.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in 20.1 minutes per game.
Nov 11, 2024
Dealing with ankle sprain
Stewart is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Heat due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has started at center in the Pistons' last two games due to Jalen Duren (ankle) being sidelined. Over that span, Stewart has averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks over 33.0 minutes per contest. Duren is listed as questionable for Tuesday's contest, but if he does not return, Stewart should draw a third consecutive start, assuming that he is able to play through his ankle injury.
Nov 11, 2024
Produces 16 points in loss
Stewart ended with 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 101-99 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jalen Duren missed Sunday's game due to a left ankle sprain, allowing Stewart to step into the starting five. While his overall stat appeal on the defensive end has been low in the past, he's currently averaging 1.4 blocks and 0.5 steals in 22.5 minutes through 11 games. It remains to be seen if Duren will return to action Tuesday against the Heat.
Nov 8, 2024
Starting at center sans Duren
Stewart will start Friday's game against the Hawks, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jalen Duren (ankle) sidelined, Stewart will make his first start of the season. It's been a rough start statically for Stewart, who's averaging 3.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.6 steals in 20.1 minutes per game off the bench this season. However, he's proven he can rack up stats quickly when handed an expanded role.

Starts second half Wednesday
Stewart ended with six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one block over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 108-107 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart started the second half after Jalen Duren exited the game after just eight minutes due to an ankle injury. If Duren happens to miss any time as a result of the injury, Stewart could find himself in the starting lineup. Although his overall skill set is somewhat limited, he would be someone to consider if you are looking for rebounds and blocks.
Oct 31, 2024
Strong performance in win
Stewart finished with seven points (1-3 FG, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Stewart had his best outing of the season, playing 34 minutes as a result of Jalen Duren fouling out in just 11 minutes. Playing as the backup center, Stewart has been underwhelming in both fantasy and reality. While this was reminiscent of what he can do when afforded meaningful minutes, he simply won't play enough on a regular basis to be considered a viable asset.
Oct 26, 2024
Fails to score in 11 minutes
Stewart posted three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 11 minutes during Friday's 113-101 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was the first big off the bench but fell short of the mark, failing to attempt a single field goal. After years of flirting with fantasy value, it appears as though he is going to be a non-factor this season. He is playing as the backup behind Jalen Duren and while he should see closer to 15 minutes on most nights, there is simply not enough meat on the bone for him to be considered a viable asset.
Oct 4, 2024
Expected to play center
Stewart is expected to move from power forward to center this season, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is projected to come off the bench behind Jalen Duren while competing for playing time with Paul Reed. Stewart normally runs at the four-spot, but with Tobias Harris and Simone Fontecchio expected to play major roles with the club, Stewart will slide over to the center position. The 23-year-old played a large role in Detroit last season, during which he averaged 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 blocks across a career-high 30.9 minutes per game in 46 regular-season outings.
Oct 2, 2024
Healthy for training camp
Stewart (hamstring) has no lingering issues from the hamstring strain that sidelined him for the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart enters training camp as Detroit's only big man with an NBA track record of shooting success, so a healthy start while acclimating to multiple new pieces in the surrounding lineup bodes well for the 23-year-old. Stewart appeared in just 46 games last season, the fewest of his four-year career.
Mar 20, 2024
Shut down for remainder of season
Stewart (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain after leaving Monday's loss to the Celtics early, and the Pistons, who are out of playoff contention, will shut down the big man for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign. Stewart should be able to make a full recovery and have a healthy summer. The 2020 first-round pick will be just 23 years old in May and signed a three-year, $45 million extension last July, so he figures to remain a key piece of the Pistons' rebuild. With the addition of Jalen Duren, Stewart has shifted to power forward the last two seasons, which has resulted in a drop in defensive production but an increase in three-point opportunities. He'll finish 2023-24 with averages of 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 blocks and 1.5 threes in 30.9 minutes per game across 46 appearances (45 starts).
Mar 19, 2024
Remains out Wednesday
Stewart (hamstring) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss Wednesday's contest due to a right hamstring strain he suffered against Boston. With Taj Gibson (hamstring) and Simone Fontecchio (toe) questionable, Detroit could be left very thin in frontcourt depth versus Indiana.
Mar 18, 2024
Won't return Monday
Stewart has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game due to right hamstring soreness, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports. He finished with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist.
ANALYSIS
Taj Gibson started the second half in place of Stewart, who appeared to suffer the injury at some point late in the second quarter. The Pistons are classifying Stewart's injury as soreness, but he could be sent in for further imaging Tuesday if the team is concerned that he might be dealing with a strain. His absence for the rest of Monday's contest will leave Detroit shorthanded at forward, as Simone Fontecchio (toe) and Ausar Thompson (illness) had already been ruled out heading into the game.
Mar 12, 2024
Subtle contributions in win
Stewart logged 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one block in 34 minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Stewart finished with a plus-13 net rating during his time on the court Monday, which marked his first game with multiple made threes since March 1. The 22-year-old is averaging 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks in 34.4 minutes across his last four games.
Mar 2, 2024
Comes close to double-double
Stewart had 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Friday's 110-100 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Stewart ended just one rebound away from a double-double for the second consecutive game, and the big man continues to find ways to impact the game on both ends of the court. Even though he isn't seen as a key figure in the team's long-term rebuild compared to Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson, Stewart is having a solid season in his own right. He's averaging 11.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season.
Feb 28, 2024
Handles sizable minutes in return
Stewart (suspension/ankle) started at power forward and tallied 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one block across 34 minutes Tuesday in the Pistons' 105-95 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Playing for the first time since Jan. 28 after missing eight games with a sprained left ankle and then three games while serving a suspension, Stewart faced no obvious restrictions during his time on the court. Even though the Pistons brought aboard Simone Fontecchio at the trade deadline, he moved to the bench to accommodate the return of Stewart, who started alongside Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson in the frontcourt. Though Duren and Thompson both seemingly represent longer-term building blocks for Detroit, the coaching staff may be eager to see if Stewart and Duren can coexist alongside one another after the former had primarily played at center up until this season. After converting on fewer than one-third of his three-point attempts over his first three NBA seasons, Stewart has at least shown some growth as a floor-spacing threat in Year 4, knocking down a respectable 37.2 percent of his tries from downtown.
Feb 27, 2024
Starting Tuesday
Stewart will start Tuesday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will be making his first appearance since Jan. 28, as he served a three-game suspension after his ankle injury due to an altercation with Drew Eubanks. With Stewart back with the starters, Simone Fontecchio will join the second unit.
Feb 27, 2024
Not listed on injury report
Stewart (suspension/ankle) isn't listed on Detroit's injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart hasn't played since Jan. 28. He was initially sidelined by an ankle injury but was suspended for the first three games after the All-Star break due to an altercation with Phoenix's Drew Eubanks following a Feb. 14 loss to the Suns. He returned to practice during the break, so he's had plenty of time to ramp up his conditioning while serving his suspension, though it wouldn't be surprising to see Stewart limited in his first game back. Stewart's return will likely mean fewer minutes for Simone Fontecchio, Ausar Thompson and Troy Brown.
Feb 22, 2024
Suspended for three games
The NBA announced Thursday that Stewart (ankle) is being suspending for three games due to his altercation with Suns center Drew Eubanks on Feb. 14, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was arrested on an assault charge and issued a citation after he allegedly punched Eubanks in the Footprint Center parking lot ahead of the Pistons' game against the Suns on Feb. 14. While Stewart's court date is set for Feb. 23, the NBA has already decided to suspend him for three games, starting with Thursday's matchup with Indiana. Ausar Thompson, Troy Brown and Mike Muscala are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence.
Feb 22, 2024
Participates in shootaround
Stewart (ankle) participated in shootaround ahead of Thursday's game versus the Pacers, Johnny Kane of Bally Sports Detroit reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's contest with a left ankle sprain that has caused him to miss Detroit's last eight games. However, 22-year-old big man's participation in shootaround is a good sign of his availability against Indiana.
Feb 21, 2024
Questionable for Thursday
Stewart (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is in danger of missing his ninth straight contest due to a left ankle sprain. However, his participation in practice Wednesday is a good sign of his availability. No news has been released about whether Stewart will be suspended by the NBA following his arrest on an assault charge due to allegedly punching Drew Eubanks.
Feb 21, 2024
Practices, but status unclear
Stewart (ankle) participated in Wednesday's practice, but his status for Thursday's game in Indiana remains unclear, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears Stewart is nearing the final stages of his recovery from a left ankle sprain, which made him miss the final eight games before the All-Star break. However, during his injury absence, the big man was arrested on an assault charge and issued a citation after he allegedly punched Drew Eubanks following a loss in Phoenix last week. Stewart's court date is set for Friday, and coach Monty Williams didn't have an update on the status of the NBA's investigation into the incident following Wednesday's practice.
Feb 15, 2024
Arrested on assault charge
Stewart (ankle) was arrested Wednesday for assault and issued a citation after he allegedly punched the Suns' Drew Eubanks in a Footprint Center parking lot prior to the Pistons' 116-100 loss in Phoenix, Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic report.
ANALYSIS
According to a report from the Phoenix Police Department, Stewart and Eubanks were involved in an argument in the players' parking lot at the arena around 4:45 p.m. local time, though it's unclear what sparked the fight between the two. Both men were separated by security after a witness said that Stewart punched Eubanks, causing a minor injury to the Suns center. Stewart was later released by police, but an investigation into the incident still remains active. The Pistons big man missed his eighth straight game Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain, but he joined Detroit on its West Coast road trip in anticipation of returning to action following the All-Star break. Since Stewart could be subject to a suspension from the league in addition to facing possible legal ramifications, he's uncertain to be available when the Pistons play their next game Feb. 22 in Indiana.
Feb 14, 2024
Gets into altercation
Stewart (ankle) punched Eubanks in the face in the back tunnel of the Suns' arena ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Suns, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart won't play in Wednesday's contest due to an ankle injury that will sideline him for the eighth straight game. It's unclear what caused the altercation, but it wouldn't be surprising for the NBA to hand out a suspension to Stewart.
Feb 12, 2024
Set to return after All-Star break
Stewart (ankle) has begun his ramp-up process and is on track to return immediately after the All-Star break, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been unavailable since the end of January due to his ankle injury, and he'll be sidelined for at least two more games. However, he's trending in the right direction and should be back in action when the Pistons return from their layoff. Over his seven appearances before his absence, the 22-year-old averaged 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in 30.1 minutes per game.
Feb 1, 2024
Out at least 10 days
Stewart is expected to miss at least 10-14 days due to his left ankle sprain, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart suffered his injury during Sunday's win over the Thunder and will aim to return to action in mid-February. Mike Muscala (head) and Danilo Gallinari are candidates to receive increased minutes in his absence.
Jan 30, 2024
Out for Wednesday
Stewart (ankle) will not play Wednesday versus Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Stewart tweaked his ankle while awkwardly catching a poor entry pass into the post during Sunday's win over the Thunder. He was visibly frustrated as he hobbled to the locker room, and the injury will cost him at least one game. His next opportunity to take the court comes Friday versus the Clippers.
Jan 30, 2024
Doesn't practice Tuesday
Stewart (ankle) didn't practice Tuesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The extent of the practice remains unclear, but this isn't surprising after Stewart left Sunday's loss to the Thunder after spraining his left ankle. His status for Wednesday's matchup in Cleveland will be released Tuesday night, but fantasy managers can expect Stewart to be listed as questionable, at best.
Jan 28, 2024
Dealing with ankle injury
Stewart won't return to Sunday's game against the Thunder due to a left ankle injury, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart tallied 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 25 minutes prior to suffering the injury. The 22-year-old will have a couple days to rest up before Wednesday's matchup with the Cavaliers, though it's unclear if he'll be available.
Jan 24, 2024
Gets starting nod
Stewart is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Hornets, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will replace Kevin Knox in the starting lineup Wednesday after coming off the bench in his previous outing. Stewart is averaging 14.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 32.2 minutes across his last five starting appearances.
Jan 23, 2024
Shines off bench in return
Stewart finished with 19 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, five blocks and two steals across 28 minutes during Monday's 122-113 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Stewart returned after missing Detroit's previous gave with an ankle injury, tallying a team-high block total while ending two boards short of a double-double and one point shy of the 20-point mark coming off the bench. Stewart posted his second-highest scoring total of the season, behind his season-high 20 points posted Dec. 23 against Brooklyn. Stewart has finished with at lest 15 points and eight rebounds in three games this year.
Jan 22, 2024
Not starting in return
Stewart (ankle) is available but won't start Monday's game against the Bucks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will return to action after missing Saturday's loss to the Bucks, but he'll operate off the bench for the first time this season, while Kevin Knox remains in the starting lineup. Over his last three appearances, Stewart has averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks in 30.7 minutes per game.
Jan 22, 2024
Will play Monday
Stewart (ankle) will play Monday against the Bucks, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart sprained his ankle last Wednesday and missed Saturday's loss to the Bucks. However, he'll shake off a questionable tag and suit up for Monday's rematch. Over his last three appearances, Stewart has averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks in 30.7 minutes per game.
Jan 21, 2024
Iffy for Monday
Stewart (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart sprained his ankle Wednesday versus Minnesota and was sidelined Saturday versus the Bucks. He has a chance to play in Monday's rematch, but if he's sidelined, Kevin Knox, Ausar Thompson, Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala would be candidates for increased roles again.
Jan 19, 2024
Won't play Saturday
Stewart (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart tweaked his ankle during Wednesday's loss to Minnesota and didn't practice Friday, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out for Saturday's matchup. He'd been playing well, averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game across three appearances since returning from a multi-week absence due to a toe issue. In Stewart's absence, Kevin Knox, Ausar Thompson and Danilo Gallinari are candidates for increased roles.
Jan 19, 2024
Doesn't practice Friday
Stewart didn't participate in Friday's practice due to an ankle injury, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart tweaked his ankle during Wednesday's game versus the Timberwolves. His status for Saturday's matchup with Milwaukee is now in question.
Jan 12, 2024
Officially good to go
Stewart (toe) is available for Friday's game versus the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been upgraded from probable to available Friday after missing the Pistons' previous eight games with a sprained right toe. Stewart is averaging 8.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 29.6 minutes across his last 10 appearances.
Jan 11, 2024
Likely to return against Houston
Stewart (toe) is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is expected to return to action Friday after missing Detroit's last eight games with a right toe sprain. Stewart will likely replace Isaiah Livers in the starting lineup against Houston but could be on a minutes restriction.
Jan 10, 2024
Ruled out
Stewart (toe) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss an eighth straight game. Unless he returns to practice Thursday, he can be considered doubtful for Friday's matchup with the Rockets.
Jan 10, 2024
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Stewart (toe) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will likely miss an eighth straight game due to a right great toe sprain. His next chance to suit up will come Friday versus the Rockets, but unless he practices Thursday, Stewart can be considered doubtful for that contest as well.
Dec 29, 2023
Out 10-14 days
The Pistons announced Friday that Stewart (toe) is expected to miss 10-14 days, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart appeared in Tuesday's game against the Nets despite his toe injury, but he was forced to miss Thursday's game against Boston and is facing a multi-game absence following Friday's announcement. Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Livers and Bojan Bogdanovic are candidates to see increased run for the struggling Pistons over the next several games.
Dec 27, 2023
Won't play against Boston
Stewart (toe) is out for Thursday's game versus the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart played in Detroit's last contest due to a right big toe sprain but will held out of Thursday's game. Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Livers and Bojan Bogdanovic are candidates to receive increased minutes in his absence. Stewart's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with the Raptors.
Dec 26, 2023
Good to go Tuesday
Stewart (toe) is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was carrying a probable tag into Tuesday night with what is believed to be a minor injury. Jalen Duren is returning from his ankle injury and will share the frontcourt with Stewart, so Stewart will likely spend more time as a stretch four going forward.
Dec 25, 2023
Dealing with minor toe sprain
Stewart is probable for Tuesday's game against the Nets due to a right great toe sprain.
ANALYSIS
Stewart recently missed back-to-back games due to a shoulder issue but is now battling a toe injury. However, he's still expected to suit up and should remain in the starting lineup, even if Jalen Duren (ankle) gets the nod at center.
Dec 24, 2023
Rains in four threes
Stewart ended with 20 points (8-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 126-115 loss to Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
A season-high four made threes fueled a season-high 20 points on the night, with Saturday representing Stewart's 10th contest with multiple made threes, and first since Nov. 29, through 27 appearances this season. Overall, his 39.6 percent clip on 3.6 threes per game symbolizes breakout efficiency, but he isn't an overly incorporated part of the offense.
Dec 21, 2023
Good to go against Utah
Stewart (shoulder) is available for Thursday's game versus the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been upgraded from probable to available Thursday after missing the previous two games with a left shoulder sprain. Stewart will likely replace Marvin Bagley in the starting five against Utah.
Dec 20, 2023
Listed as probable
Stewart (shoulder) is probable for Thursday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed back-to-back contests but was a full participant during Wednesday's practice and should return to game action Thursday. He's started all 25 of his appearances this season, averaging 10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30.4 minutes per game.
Dec 20, 2023
Practices Wednesday
Coach Monty Williams said Stewart practiced Wednesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed back-to-back games and is considered day-to-day, but he's trending in the right direction after practicing Wednesday. His status for Thursday's contest against the Jazz should be released Wednesday afternoon.
Dec 19, 2023
Considered day-to-day
Coach Monty Williams said Monday that Stewart (shoulder) is day-to-day, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed back-to-back games, but it doesn't sound like his absence will be prolonged. His next chance to suit up will come Thursday versus Utah, but his official status for that contest won't be released until Wednesday afternoon. Stewart has started all 25 of his appearances this season, averaging 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, and his presence is even more important in the interim, given Jalen Duren (ankle) is slated to miss at least another week.
Dec 17, 2023
Out for Monday
Stewart (shoulder) will not play Monday against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is set to miss his second consecutive game due to a left shoulder sprain. Stewart will have two full days of rest prior to Detroit taking the court again Thursday versus Utah. Ausar Thompson, Marvin Bagley and James Wiseman will absorb his workload, although more pressure could shift to Detroit's floor spacers such as Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic.
Dec 16, 2023
Will not play Saturday
Stewart (shoulder) will not play in Saturday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss his first game of the campaign Saturday, but he'll be considered day-to-day going forward. His next chance to play will be Monday against Atlanta. The good news for Detroit is that Marvin Bagley will be able to play through his lower back sprain. James Wiseman could also get some decent run Saturday with Stewart sidelined.
Dec 16, 2023
Added to injury report
Stewart is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Bucks due to a left shoulder sprain.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is in danger of missing his first game of the season Saturday after being a late addition to the injury report. With Marvin Bagley (back) also questionable, James Wiseman could be in store for a heavy workload against Milwaukee.
Dec 13, 2023
Tossed from game
Stewart was assessed with a Flagrant Two foul and ejected from Wednesday's game versus the 76ers after shoving Patrick Beverley to the floor. Stewart will finish the game with four points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was ejected from Wednesday's game with 0:24 remaining in the third quarter. With Marvin Bagley (back) out, James Wiseman is Detroit's only center left to guard Joel Embiid.
Dec 12, 2023
Perfect from field
Stewart amassed 13 points (5-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Monday's 131-123 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's 13 points marks his highest scoring total since Nov.12 against Chicago. Despite inconsistent scoring and a 20-game losing streak for the Pistons, Stewart has remained in the starting lineup for all 23 of Detroit's contests thus far. Perhaps Stewart's strong performance Monday can yield momentum moving forward, but Marvin Bagley (back) was inactive Monday, and he as well as Jalen Duren (ankle) loom as limiting factors in Stewart's future.
Dec 1, 2023
Season low in loss
Stewart scored five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and grabbed seven rebounds in Thursday's 118-112 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Although his production Thursday wasn't the most glamorous, Stewart has quietly been solid for the Pistons throughout the season. Starting all 19 games thus far, he is averaging 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists. 0.7 blocks and 0.3 steals through 31.4 minutes.
Nov 21, 2023
Top rebounder in double-double
Stewart posted 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 35 minutes during Monday's 107-103 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Stewart led all Pistons in rebounds while finishing as one of five players with a double-digit point total in a double-double performance in a losing effort. Stewart has tallied a double-double on five occasions this season, including in three of his last five outings.
Nov 18, 2023
Delivers double-double Friday
Stewart amassed 11 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 108-100 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Jalen Duren (ankle) has missed the last three games, and Stewart has produced a double-double in two of them while riding solo as the only true big in the Detroit starting lineup, although he managed only one rebound in 19 minutes against Clint Capela and the Atlanta frontcourt Tuesday. Stewart's got four double-doubles in 13 games to begin the season, putting him well on pace to shatter the career-high 13 he recorded in 2022-23.
Nov 12, 2023
Records double-double in loss
Stewart had 17 points (6-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes in Sunday's 119-108 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart registered his third double-double of the year and was the leading scorer among the Pistons starters. He entered Sunday's contest shooting 42.5 percent from three and showed his expanded range when he went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Steward should continue to get extended playing time for as long as Jalen Duran (ankle) remains out.
Nov 7, 2023
Stands out in starting role
Stewart accumulated 17 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 39 minutes during Monday's 120-109 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Stewart got the start with Jalen Duren (ankle) out, and he matched his contributions with a double-double while also putting up numbers in other categories. Stewart can handle a starting role going forward, though his minutes will ultimately be determined by Duren's availability. If the latter can't play Wednesday at Milwaukee, then Stewart should retain his starting role at center.
Nov 2, 2023
Active at both ends Wednesday
Stewart contributed 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 110-101 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been quite consistent to start the campaign, scoring in double digits and recording at least six boards in each game. Stewart might see a short-term uptick in his numbers if Jalen Duren (ankle) is forced to miss additional time, but even if that's not the case, he has posted decent numbers to be an asset in deeper leagues. Through five games, Stewart averages 13.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
Oct 26, 2023
Double-double to kick off campaign
Stewart logged 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), 14 rebounds and two assists over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 103-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons' starting frontcourt of Stewart and Jalen Duren each grabbed 14 boards as part of double-doubles, out-rebounding their veteran Miami counterparts in Bam Adebayo and Kevin Love. Stewart signed a four-year contract extension in July after taking a step forward in his development during the 2022-23 campaign, and if he's added a consistent three-point shot to his arsenal, a true breakout could be coming for the 22-year-old big man.
Jul 10, 2023
Inks four-year extension
The Pistons signed Stewart to a four-year, $64 million contract extension Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart missed the final 21 games of the 2022-23 season due to left hip soreness and a left shoulder impingement. The No. 16 pick in the 2020 NBA draft averaged 11.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28.3 minutes across 50 games last year. Stewart figures to compete with James Wiseman and Jalen Duren for the starting center role.
Mar 9, 2023
Sidelined at least 3-4 weeks
Stewart (hip) is dealing with a left shoulder impingement and will be sidelined for the next 3-to-4 weeks, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was previously listed with a hip issue, so it appears he may be dealing with multiple injuries, though the newest problem seems to be the root cause in his updated timeline. Given that the end of the Pistons' season is only a month away, it's possible his season has come to its conclusion. Either way, managers in many redraft fantasy formats should be free to cut him loose if in need of a roster spot.
Mar 8, 2023
Out again Thursday
Stewart (hip) will not take the floor Thursday versus the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is scheduled for his sixth consecutive absence Thursday, and there is no clear timeline for his return to action. His next theoretical opportunity to suit up arrives Saturday versus the Pacers. Marvin Bagley, James Wiseman and Isaiah Livers should continue to log additional minutes in his absence.
Mar 7, 2023
Remains out Tuesday
Stewart (hip) is sidelined for Tuesday's action against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is part of Detroit's extensive injury report, and the big man will miss a fifth straight contest. Marvin Bagley, James Wiseman and Isaiah Livers should continue seeing extra action in the frontcourt.
Mar 5, 2023
Out Monday
Stewart (hip) will not play Monday against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Monday will mark the fourth straight game on the sidelines for Stewart, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against the Wizards. With James Wiseman (knee) questionable for Monday's game, Marvin Bagley could be headed for major minutes.
Mar 3, 2023
Unavailable Saturday
Stewart (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Stewart practiced Friday, but he'll still be forced to miss a third consecutive game due to his sore left hip. However, Isaiah Livers (ankle) is probable, so the Pistons should get a boost in the frontcourt against the Cavaliers.
Mar 3, 2023
Practices Friday
Head coach Dwane Casey said Stewart (hip) practiced Friday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed back-to-back games due to left hip soreness, but he appears to be trending in the right direction and could return to action Saturday in Cleveland. His official status for that contest remains unclear, but more clarity on his potential availability should surface when the Pistons release their next injury report.
Feb 28, 2023
Won't play Wednesday
Stewart (hip) will miss Wednesday's game versus the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is set for his second consecutive absence after sitting out Tuesday's practice, leaving the Pistons' frontcourt shorthanded with Jalen Duren (ankle) also out and Isaiah Livers (ankle) doubtful. Bojan Bogdanovic (probable with Achilles), Marvin Bagley and James Wiseman may be the primary frontcourt options Wednesday and in line for sizable workloads, while Stewart's next opportunity to suit up arrives Saturday in Cleveland.
Feb 28, 2023
Unavailable for Tuesday's practice
Stewart (hip) didn't practice Tuesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart missed Monday's loss to the Hornets and didn't practice Tuesday, so it appears he's unlikely to suit up Wednesday in Cleveland. Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles), Isaiah Livers (ankle), Jaden Ivey (personal) and Jalen Duren (ankle) are also trending in the wrong direction, so the Pistons may have a skeleton crew available versus the Cavaliers.
Feb 27, 2023
Ruled out Monday
Stewart (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Stewart started the last nine games but tweaked his hip during Saturday's loss to the Raptors. Jalen Duren (ankle) is also out, so James Wiseman and Isaiah Livers should see plenty of run in the shorthanded frontcourt.
Feb 26, 2023
Questionable Monday
Stewart (hip) is questionable to play Monday against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart tweaked his hip during Saturday's loss to the Raptors, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit out Monday's game given that the Pistons are playing for Ping Pong balls at this point. If he's not able to give it a go on Monday, expect more burn for James Wiseman, Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Livers.
Feb 25, 2023
Out for remainder of game
Stewart won't return to Saturday's game versus the Raptors due to right hip soreness.
ANALYSIS
Stewart recorded five points, nine rebounds, one block and one assist in 19 minutes before leaving Saturday's game versus the Raptors. Marvin Bagley will likely see increased minutes in his absence. Stewart's status for Monday's matchup with Charlotte is uncertain.
Feb 13, 2023
Drills three triples
Stewart finished Sunday's 119-118 loss to the Raptors with 16 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Though he served as the starting power forward alongside Jalen Duren, Stewart ended up seeing some elevated playing time due to being the Pistons' only available center at one point in the contest when Duren headed to the locker room to have an ankle injury evaluated. Duren was able to return to the contest and should be good to go moving forward, while the Pistons could have new trade acquisition James Wiseman as well as Nerlens Noel (personal) available in their next game Wednesday against the Celtics to add further depth at center. As a result, Stewart's path to playing time at center looks to be fairly muddled moving forward, and he may have to settle for minutes in the upper 20s and low 30s as the Pistons' starting power forward since head coach Dwane Casey still wants to find work for second-year reserve forward Isaiah Livers.
Feb 7, 2023
Double-double against Celtics
Stewart racked up 10 points (4-12 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and 12 rebounds across 31 minutes during Monday's 111-99 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
It's his 12th double-double of the season in his 44th game, tying the career-high he set last season in 71 contests. Stewart has dealt with shoulder and hip injuries over the last month, but since the beginning of January he's averaging 10.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists through 12 games despite uncharacteristically poor 39.1 percent shooting from the floor.
Feb 6, 2023
Available Monday
Stewart (hip) is available for Monday's game against the Celtics, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart dealt with a sore left hip ahead of Monday's matchup but will be able to suit up against Boston. The 21-year-old has started in his last two appearances and has averaged 12.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 32.5 minutes per game during that time.
Feb 5, 2023
Questionable Monday
Stewart is questionable for Monday's game against the Celtics due to left hip soreness.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has started the last two matchups, and he played 37 minutes during Saturday's loss to Phoenix. He's dealing with a hip issue ahead of Monday's matchup, and Jalen Duren and Isaiah Livers are candidates to see increased run against Boston if Stewart is unavailable.
Feb 3, 2023
Pulls down 16 rebounds
Stewart finished with eight points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds, six assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Friday's 118-112 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
While this wasn't Stewart's best game offensively, he dominated the glass and reached double-digit boards for the 15th time this season. His fantasy managers will also be glad to see Detroit going back to Stewart in the starting lineup next to Jalen Duren. Depending on what the Pistons do at the trade deadline with Bojan Bogdanovic, more minutes could be coming Stewart's way as a stretch four.
Feb 3, 2023
Returns to starting lineup
Stewart will start Friday's contest against the Hornets, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will return to the starting lineup following a three-game stretch off the bench -- his first matchups as a reserve this season. His presence will push Saddiq Bey to a bench role. Across 38 games as a starter, Stewart has averaged 11.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 28.5 minutes per game.
Jan 31, 2023
Low-volume effort Monday
Stewart posted seven points (2-5 FG, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal across 20 minutes during Monday's 111-105 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart continues to trend in the wrong direction, turning in another trashy performance Monday. Over the past two weeks, Stewart has been nothing more than a top-250 player, giving managers all the ammunition they need to set him free. His minutes are down despite the absence of Marvin Bagley (hand) and so there is little reason to think he improves significantly moving forward.
Jan 26, 2023
Not starting Thursday
Stewart will not start Thursday's game against the Nets, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will come off the bench for the first time this season after missing Monday's game with a shoulder injury. It seems as though the Pistons are switching things up, submitting a first five of Jaden Ivey, Alec Burks, Bojan Bogdanovic, Saddiq Bey and Jalen Duren. Although there have been no indications Stewart will be limited in any fashion, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Stewart's workload Thursday and moving forward.
Jan 26, 2023
Available Thursday
Stewart (shoulder) is available for Thursday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will return following a one-game absence and should be expected to rejoin the starters, as he hasn't come off the bench all season. This month, Stewart is averaging 11.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
Jan 26, 2023
Trending toward playing
Stewart (shoulder) is trending toward playing Thursday against the Nets, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart sat out Monday's loss to the Bucks, but it appears it'll end up being a one-game absence. He's started every appearance this season and is averaging 11.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.5 minutes this month.
Jan 25, 2023
Questionable Thursday
Stewart (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been sidelined for four of the last six matchups due to his sore shoulder, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Thursday. If he's sidelined once again, Isaiah Livers (ankle), Kevin Knox and Nerlens Noel could continue to see increased playing time.
Jan 22, 2023
Ruled out Monday
Stewart is dealing with shoulder soreness and will miss Monday's game against the Bucks, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart logged at least 29 minutes in back-to-back contests following a three-game absence earlier this month, but the shoulder is affecting him once again, and this will cause his absence from Monday's tilt. He should be treated as day-to-day going forward with an eye toward Thursday's contest against the Nets.
Jan 16, 2023
Logs 29 minutes in return
Stewart (shoulder) finished with six points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 29 minutes in Sunday's 117-104 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
With Detroit ruling out Jalen Duren (ankle) and Marvin Bagley (hand) ahead of the contest and Nerlens Noel (knee) later revealed to be unavailable, Stewart ended up being the Pistons' only healthy center Sunday. Stewart himself was returning from a three-game absence of his own due to a sore shoulder, but perhaps in part due to the Pistons' lack of depth down low, he didn't have an apparent minutes restriction. If Detroit gets at least one of Duren or Noel back for Thursday's game against the Bulls in Paris, Stewart will likely shift back over to power forward.
Jan 15, 2023
Available, starting Sunday
Stewart (shoulder) is active and starting Sunday against the Knicks, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old sat out the past three games with shoulder soreness but will return to the court Sunday versus New York. Across the 10 games prior to his absence, Stewart averaged 12.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 29.7 minutes.
Jan 14, 2023
Listed as probable
Stewart has been listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Knicks due to left shoulder soreness, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was removed from the injury report earlier Saturday but has been added again, though the probable tag means he shouldn't have problems playing. Stewart has missed Detroit's last three games.
Jan 14, 2023
Slated to play Sunday
Stewart (shoulder) is off the injury report ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed three straight games with soreness in his left shoulder but has been given the green light for Sunday's contest. With Jalen Duren (ankle) still out, Stewart should earn the starting center spot, which would knock Nerlens Noel back to the second unit.
Jan 13, 2023
Sidelined Friday
Stewart (shoulder) will not take the floor for Friday's matchup with the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's lingering soreness in his left shoulder will hold him out of a third consecutive contest Friday. With both Stewart and Jalen Duren (ankle) absent, Nerlens Noel will likely start at center while Saddiq Bey is the favorite to play the four. Stewart's next opportunity to suit up will come Sunday against the Knicks.
Jan 12, 2023
Questionable Friday
Stewart (shoulder) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is listed as questionable Friday after missing the previous two games with left shoulder soreness. Nerlens Noel has started at center in his absence. If Stewart can't suit up Friday, his next chance is Sunday's matchup with the Knicks.
Jan 11, 2023
Ruled out Wednesday
Stewart (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was a late scratch for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, and he'll remain out for the second half of the back-to-back set. Isaiah Livers (shoulder) is probable Wednesday, so it's possible he claims a starting role for the Pistons.
Jan 10, 2023
Late scratch, Noel starting
Stewart is out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers due to left shoulder soreness, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart wasn't on any of the injury reports leading up to tipoff, so his absence is surprising. With big men Jalen Duren (ankle) and Marvin Bagley (hand) also sidelined, Nerlens Noel will draw the start.
Jan 8, 2023
Notches double-double in loss
Stewart ended Sunday's 123-111 loss to the 76ers with 20 points (7-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart posted a team-high 13 rebounds while finishing as one of three Pistons to score 20 or more points. Stewart has recorded a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double twice this year.
Dec 31, 2022
Records double-double
Stewart finished Friday's 132-118 loss to Chicago with 16 points (6-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons didn't have a shot in this 14-point loss, but Stewart had a solid fantasy performance due to his contributions on both ends of the court -- he recorded his first double-double since Dec. 14 and also notched a season-high mark in steals. Stewart is averaging just 11.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in his last 10 contests as the Pistons prepare to take on the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Dec 27, 2022
Plays season-high 40 minutes
Stewart produced 21 points (8-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes during Monday's 142-131 overtime loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
With Isaiah Livers (shoulder) and Marvin Bagley (illness) both out, Stewart played a season-high 40 minutes and made the most of his increased opportunity by scoring at least 20 points for the second time this season. Coming into the contest, Stewart had averaged just 7.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.5 minutes, so while his outburst Monday was nice, his production against Los Angeles was likely an outlier.
Dec 14, 2022
Excellent shooting in double-double
Stewart produced 19 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 41 minutes during Wednesday's 141-134 overtime victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart turned in a stellar shooting line and secured his second double-double of December through six games. The big man has scored in double figures in four of his last five matchups, averaging 12.2 points and 7.6 rebounds over this span.
Dec 7, 2022
First double-double of December
Stewart finished with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 116-96 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
Stewart turned in an efficient shooting night and also crashed the glass, securing nine of his 11 rebounds on the defensive end. Tuesday marked the first time Stewart has scored in double figures in December after doing so five times over eight appearances in November.
Nov 29, 2022
Sharp in return
Stewart recorded 19 points (6-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 140-110 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart made it clear from the start that he didn't need to shake off any rust after missing Detroit's last seven games while dealing with a sprained toe. He drilled a season-high five triples, led his team in scoring and also contributed on the defensive end by swatting away a shot. The 21-year-old is averaging 12.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists through 16 matchups this season.
Nov 29, 2022
Will start in return
Stewart (toe) will start Tuesday's game versus the Knicks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was given the green light to play earlier in the day and will waste no time retaking his spot in the starting unit. With both he and Bojan Bogdanovic (knee) back in the mix, Saddiq Bey and Rodney McGruder will return to bench roles.
Nov 29, 2022
Will return against Knicks
Pistons coach Dwane Casey said Stewart (toe) is available for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will end his seven-game absence Tuesday due to a sprained toe. Stewart will likely replace Isaiah Livers in the starting lineup against the Knicks and start alongside Marvin Bagley in the froncourt.
Nov 29, 2022
Likely to return Tuesday
Stewart (toe), who's officially listed as questionable, is expected to play Tuesday against the Knicks, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed seven straight contests due to a sprained toe on his right foot, but it appears he'll make his return to game action Wednesday. Before the injury, the third-year big man was averaging 12.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in 27.1 minutes per game, but he may be limited in his first contest in over two weeks.
Nov 28, 2022
Listed as questionable
Stewart (toe) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed seven consecutive contests due to a right big toe sprain and could miss an eighth straight. Starting center Marvin Bagley (migraine) is also questionable, so Jalen Duren may be thrust into an expanded role versus New York.
Nov 27, 2022
Won't play Sunday
Stewart (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will miss a seventh straight game due to a right big toe sprain. The third-year big man's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Knicks. In his extended absence, Marvin Bagley and Jalen Duren will likely continue garnering expanded roles.
Nov 26, 2022
Questionable Sunday
Stewart (toe) is questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed the last six games due to a right big toe sprain. If Stewart can't play against Cleveland, his next opportunity will be Tuesday's game against the Knicks. The 21-year-old big man will likely start alongside Marvin Bagley in the frontcourt when he returns.
Nov 23, 2022
Recalled from G League
The Pistons recalled Stewart (toe) from the Motor City Cruise of the G League on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was recalled from the Cruise hours after being assigned to them. Stewart was most likely getting practice reps while recovering from a right big toe sprain. This is a good sign for the third-year big man's rehab process, but he is still expected to be out for another week.
Nov 23, 2022
Assigned to G League
The Pistons assigned Stewart (toe) to the Motor City Cruise of the G league on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has missed the last four games due to a right big toe sprain. While the 21-year-old big man is expected to be out for another week, this is a good sign that he will return to action soon. Stewart is likely going to practice with Cruise and return to the Pistons when fully healthy, as he started in all 15 games before going down to injury.
Nov 15, 2022
Out 2-3 weeks
Stewart has been diagnosed with a right big toe sprain and will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is in the midst of a career year, with averages of 12.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27.1 minutes. His absence comes shortly after Marvin Bagley made his season debut, so the Pistons can handle his absence in stride. Jalen Duren also figures to see a significant bump in minutes and is more of a pure center than Bagley.
Nov 14, 2022
Won't return Monday
Stewart won't return to Monday's contest against Toronto due to a right foot sprain, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart suffered the injury sometime during the first half of Monday's matchup. Prior to exiting, the center made his 14th straight start of the season and posted nine points, four rebounds and one block in 13 minutes.
Nov 12, 2022
Comes close to double-double
Stewart finished with 13 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 29 minutes during Friday's 121-112 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart ended just two boards shy of posting what would've been his sixth double-double over his last seven appearances. The big man continues to show value as a two-way threat, and he's starting to show signs of being a reliable three-point shooter as well. Through five outings this month, Stewart is averaging 11.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 58.8 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range.
Nov 9, 2022
Secures another double-double
Stewart totaled 12 points (3-6 FG, 1-4 3PT, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes Wednesday against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was efficient on the offensive end and managed to secure his second consecutive double-double in as many games. He ended the contest tied for the team lead with 10 boards and has finished with double-digit rebounds in five of his last six matchups.
Nov 8, 2022
Double-double in Monday's win
Stewart chipped in 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 112-103 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
He did lead the Pistons in boards, but three different Detroit starters pulled down double-digit rebounds on the night against an OKC squad that was overmatched on the glass. Stewart has four double-doubles in the last five games and six on the season as he averages 12.5 points, 9.9 boards, 1.2 assists and 1.0 threes through 11 contests.
Nov 3, 2022
Another double-double Wednesday
Stewart finished Wednesday's 116-91 loss to the Bucks with 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block over 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart posted his third straight double-double and has reached that feat six times already, making him one of the best two-way threats in the league and an absolute stud in fantasy, particularly in dynasty formats. Stewart has also emerged as a reliable three-point threat from a volume perspective, at least for the standards of big men in the league -- he has drained two or more threes in three of his last four contests.
Oct 31, 2022
Serviceable effort despite loss
Stewart logged 11 points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block over 29 minutes during Monday's 110-108 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a strong game Sunday, Stewart delivered another strong performance, especially given the opponent. All in all, it's been a positive start to the season for Stewart, currently sitting inside the top 130. He is blocking just 0.5 shots per game, a number that feels as though it should increase moving forward. If that number, as well as his efficiency, can come up even slightly, he is an outside chance to crack the top 100.
Oct 30, 2022
Makes 10 free-throws Sunday
Stewart ended Sunday's 128-114 win over the Warriors with 24 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 10-11 FT) and 13 rebounds across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was consistently productive throughout the game and produced his third double-double of the season. While he struggled shooting over his first five games -- making just 35.7 percent of his tries -- he's 12-for-21 over his last two games and 4-for-10 from three-point range. With Sunday's strong outing, he's now averaging 13.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
Oct 29, 2022
Comes close to double-double
Stewart racked up 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes during Friday's 136-112 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart ended just two rebounds shy of posting a double-double here, and while the three-point experiment is not delivering the dividends many expected in training camp, it's worth noting this was the first game in which he drained more than one trey in a single game. Firmly entrenched as Detroit's starting center, Stewart is averaging 11.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, but he needs to improve his efficiency numbers desperately.
Oct 26, 2022
Posts double-double in loss
Stewart closed Tuesday's 120-99 loss to Washington with 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has back-to-back double-doubles for the first time this season, and with three straight games of 10 or more boards, it's clear he needs to spend more time in the paint and less time in the perimeter since the three-point experiment has not gone as expected. The big man has gone just 4-for-18 from deep over the first four games of the season, and while he's made at least one trey in each game, the numbers are simply not there.
Oct 22, 2022
Three-point experiment continues
Stewart racked up eight points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 130-106 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart flirted with a double-double, while falling in line with his 2021-22 season averages -- 8.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Interestingly, two-thirds of Stewart's shot attempts have come from beyond the arc thus far. Stewart's spacing ability is a logical project for Detroit and was tested throughout the preseason, but it could subtract from his overall efficiency this season.
Oct 13, 2022
Near double-double in loss
Stewart tallied 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-10 3Pt), nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 23 minutes in Thursday's 126-111 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Stewart had 13 points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes in the first half, going 3-for-8 from behind the arc. After attempting just eight threes in his first three preseason contests, Stewart attempted 10 of his 13 shots Thursday from distance. The 21-year-old made 33.0 percent of his three-point tries in his first two seasons and is 7-for-18 in the preseason.
Oct 8, 2022
Scores 14 in loss
Stewart recorded 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds and one block in Friday's preseason loss against New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Stewart drilled a pair of triples and turned in an efficient outing from the field, finishing third in minutes behind Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey. He should see plenty of chances to produce in both the power forward and center positions during the upcoming 2022 campaign.
Sep 30, 2022
Practicing in both frontcourt spots
Stewart has been playing power forward and center interchangeably, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart increased the volume and efficiency of his three-point shot towards the end of the 2021-22 campaign, allowing the Pistons to utilize the 21-year-old's floor stretching capabilities to see more minutes at the power forward position this season. Considering the team's massive frontcourt depth, Stewarts' positional flexibility should help him carve out a consistent role this season.

Stewart not-so-little
Stewart accumulated 19 points (6-13 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 131-113 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart co-led Wednesday's contest in rebounding, while racking up six offensive rebounds en route to his 12th double-double of the season. Propelled by an uncharacteristically strong night from beyond the arc, Stewart nearly posted his second 20-point game of the season. The 20-year-old is the incumbent starter at the center position for the Pistons heading into next season.

Double-doubles in loss
Stewart closed Sunday's 104-102 loss to New York with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart weathered relentless defense from Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson, ending the evening with a double-double. The center was also able to stretch the defense with two three-pointers in the loss.
Mar 22, 2022
Game-high 13 rebounds
Stewart had eight points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 31 minutes during Monday's 119-115 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has collected double-digit rebounds in three straight games, despite failing to exceed 30 minutes in two of them. Emblematic of his volatility, Stewart is an infrequent contributor largely due to an infrequently role. The development of Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Livers have seemingly taken priority over a heavy workload for Stewart. He has nonetheless averaged a respectable 9.4 rebounds, 7.6 points and 1.0 block across his last eight games.
Mar 18, 2022
Double-doubles in win
Stewart finished Thursday's 134-120 victory over the Magic with 16 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart avoided foul trouble in the victory, logging 30 minutes in what was a promising performance. After what has been a disappointing season, Stewart will certainly be looking to finish with a bang. Moving forward, he should be a nightly double-double threat, with an ability to chip in a couple of defensive stats. While he has not taken the leap many expected to see, the starting role is his for now, with foul issues the only real stumbling block when it comes to playing time.
Mar 15, 2022
Misses all five shots in return
Stewart (knee) posted zero points (0-5 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 22 minutes Tuesday in the Pistons' 105-98 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Stewart ended up returning sooner than anticipated from a bone bruise in his right knee, missing only three games. The Pistons immediately reinserted him into the starting five, and though he supplied his usual production on the boards while supplementing his line with two blocks, Stewart's 0-for-5 showing from the field was disappointing. He should be viewed as a low-end roster option in 12-team leagues.
Mar 14, 2022
Not listed on injury report
Stewart (knee) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was expected to be re-evaluated this week after undergoing tests last week that revealed a bone bruise in his right knee. There hasn't been any official update from Detroit, but his removal from the injury report suggests he'll be good to go Tuesday, though he may face a minutes restriction following a three-game absence.

Will be re-evaluated in one week
Stewart will be re-evaluated in one week after undergoing tests Tuesday that revealed a bone bruise in his right knee, href="https://twitter.com/Keith_Langlois/status/1501294582809735183">Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart suffered the injury during the second quarter of Monday's win over Atlanta and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. Kelly Olynyk and Marvin Bagley figure to have increased roles for the duration of Stewart's absence.
Mar 7, 2022
Done for night
Stewart won't return to Monday's game against the Hawks due to a right knee injury, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
The team has yet to release the details of Stewart's injury, but it was evidently serious enough to keep him out for the remainder of the contest. Kelly Olynyk and Marvin Bagley could see an uptick in minutes down the stretch as a result.
Feb 28, 2022
Grabs 11 rebounds in OT win
Stewart supplied seven points (3-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 29 minutes during Sunday's 127-126 overtime win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Although Kelly Olynyk was the real hero in the paint with his game-winning jumper, Stewart still impacted as the starting center with a double-digit rebounding performance. Stewart shot only 33 percent from the floor for his second consecutive game, which is well below his 51.6 percent conversion rate for the season.
Feb 19, 2022
Uneven performance for Team Isiah
Stewart managed 10 points (5-9 FG), 10 rebounds, one steal and one block across both legs of the Rising Stars competition at All-Star Weekend.
ANALYSIS
Stewart scored 10 points (5-7 FG) in the first leg of the new format but was held scoreless in the championship loss to Team Barry. Stewart's 10 rebounds were second most among all Rising Star candidates, trailing only Evan Mobley (11).
Feb 12, 2022
Double-double in win
Stewart recorded 15 points (7-14 FG, 0-0 3PTk 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 30 minutes in Friday's 141-119 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's 12 rebounds were a game-high between both teams. He has been grabbing boards at a high-rate recently, as he is pulling down 11.8 across his last eight games. The big-man is also averaging 10.3 points and 1.1 blocks across 29.3 minutes during that stretch.
Feb 9, 2022
Pulls down 15 boards
Stewart tallied 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes Tuesday in the Pistons' 116-86 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has continued to ward off Kelly Olynyk for playing time in the frontcourt, as the second-year center has now cleared 29 minutes in six consecutive contests. He's also pulled down no fewer than 11 boards in each of those games, though he's supported his immense rebound production with modest averages of 9.5 points, 0.8 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.2 steals and 0.0 three-pointers during that stretch. His one-category dominance is enough to make him worthy of being on a roster in 12-team leagues for the time being, though he won't be a fit for every fantasy manager.
Feb 7, 2022
Swats four shots in loss
Stewart tallied five points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 12 rebounds, four blocks and one assist in 33 minutes Sunday in the Pistons' 118-105 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been a bankable producer in the rebounds category of late, hauling in no fewer than 11 boards in any of his last five games. He supplemented the production on the glass with a new season-high total in blocks, but he's not typically a reliable contributor in that area, as he rejected a combined four shots in Detroit's previous 11 games. Even with Jerami Grant and Kelly Olynyk recently making their returns from extended absences, Stewart hasn't lost out on any playing time, and he should be worthy of a roster spot in 12-team leagues while he's regularly getting 30 minutes per game.
Feb 5, 2022
Grabs season-high 17 boards
Stewart recorded six points (3-11 FG) and 17 rebounds across 33 minutes during Friday's 102-93 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Stewart failed to score in double figures for the fourth time in his previous six contests, but he salvaged his fantasy production by grabbing a season-high 17 rebounds. Over his last four contests, the second-year big man has averaged 9.5 points and 13.3 rebounds in 31.3 minutes. He'll look to continue dominating the glass during the Pistons' upcoming two-game road trip.
Feb 4, 2022
Double-double against Minnesota
Stewart scored 10 points (5-9 FG) while adding 13 rebounds and an assist in 32 minutes during Thursday's 128-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
It's his third straight game with double-digit boards and his sixth double-double of the season, although Stewart's production Thursday was overshadowed by Karl-Anthony Towns. Aside from rebounds, Stewart's overall numbers haven't progressed much from his rookie season, and his court time could begin to shrink once Kelly Olynyk has his legs back under him.
Feb 2, 2022
Grabs team-high 11 boards
Stewart had eight points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 111-101 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was quiet offensively, but he grabbed double-digit rebounds for the second straight game. Over his last eight contests, the second-year big man has averaged 9.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.4 minutes. The return of Kelly Olynyk, who's only played three games since Nov. 10, may cut into Stewart's overall production during the second half of the season.
Jan 24, 2022
Perfect shooting night Sunday
Stewart delivered 18 points (8-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes Sunday in the Pistons' 117-111 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's flawless shooting performance masked what was an otherwise hollow stat line for the center, who hasn't taken the leap forward fantasy managers expected in his second season. Considering Stewart is shooting 53.5 percent from the field for the season, managers shouldn't expect this kind of scoring production most nights, though he's capable of turning in better numbers in the rebounds and blocks categories. Even so, Stewart could have a tough time sticking in a 25-plus-minute role the rest of the season, especially once Jerami Grant (thumb) returns from injury and when Kelly Olynyk exits the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Jan 19, 2022
Records double-double in loss
Stewart chipped in 14 points (7-10 FG), 11 rebounds and one block across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 102-86 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Stewart recorded his fourth double-double of the season. That total would be much higher, but his low shot volume has saddled his ability to hit the threshold more frequently. His sta line was an encouraging sign, as his numbers have been poor since his return from a six-game absence.
Jan 12, 2022
Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Stewart produced 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 133-87 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Stewart is not known for his scoring ability, and in fact, this was the first time he surpassed the 10-point mark since he did it against the Wizards on Dec. 8 -- a game in which he also scored 11 points. Stewart's real value lies in his defensive contributions, and in fact, his four blocks Tuesday represented a new season-high mark for him in this category. He's averaging 9.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks, as well as 7.8 points, per game since the start of December.
Jan 7, 2022
Swats two shots in return
Stewart racked up six points (3-6 FG), eight rebounds and two blocks over 20 minutes during Thursday's 118-88 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart started and played 20 minutes in his return from a six-game absence while in COVID protocols. It's unclear whether his limited minutes were due to the layoff or a consequence of the lopsided nature of the score, but Stewart at least managed to post some useful big-man stats with eight boards and two blocks. The second-year center isn't often a major scoring threat, but he has maintained decent fantasy value by reaching double-digit rebounds with at least one swat in six of his past 12 games.
Jan 6, 2022
Not on injury report
Stewart (conditioning) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Stewart missed Wednesday's game against Charlotte for conditioning purposes, but his removal from the report indicates that he should be back on the floor Thursday night. Stewart will likely reclaim his starting center spot, but considering it would be his first action since Dec. 21, it's possible he could face some limitations.
Jan 4, 2022
Won't play Wednesday
Stewart (conditioning) won't play in Wednesday's contest against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols Tuesday, but he will need time to regain his conditioning before returning to game action. The Pistons have a back-to-back starting Wednesday, so while he's been ruled out for the first half, it's unclear if the second-year big man will be available for the second half -- Thursday at Memphis. Trey Lyles and Luka Garza are expected to hold down the center spot once again Wednesday.
Jan 4, 2022
Removed from COVID-19 protocols
Stewart cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols Tuesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards reports that Stewart has meet the Pistons in Charlotte, but his status for Wednesday's contest is uncertain at the moment. The second-year center has missed five straight games and hasn't appeared in a contest since Dec. 21, so it's likely he'll need to regain his conditioning before returning to game action.
Dec 23, 2021
Hit with protocols
Stewart landed in COVID-19 protocols Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart, Killian Hayes and Saben Lee were reported to have entered protocols at the same time ahead of Thursday's game against the Heat. With Stewart sidelined, Luka Garza, Trey Lyles and Cheick Diallo should see increased roles.
Dec 20, 2021
Grabs 14 rebounds in win
Stewart registered seven points (2-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 14 rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Sunday's 100-90 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Stewart matched his second-best rebound total of the season, winning the battle in the paint against Dewayne Dedmon with relative ease. After a slow start, Stewart has rattled off nine consecutive double-digit rebounding performances.
Dec 13, 2021
Tuesday's game postponed
The NBA has officially postponed Tuesday's game between the Bulls and Pistons, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
With the Bulls battling a COVID-19 outbreak, Tuesday's contest will be postponed and made up at a later date. The Pistons still have three games on their schedule this week, but they'll now be off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before playing at Indiana on Thursday night.
Dec 13, 2021
Falls short of double-double
Stewart chipped in nine points (3-9 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 40 minutes during Sunday's 116-104 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has posted double-digit rebounds in five of his last eight games, but his scoring totals only allowed three double-doubles over that span. Still, Stewart has been a steady contributor as the team's starting center.
Dec 9, 2021
Healthy double-double
Stewart recorded 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 119-116 overtime loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Stewart put forth a solid effort on a night where the Pistons' utilized a 10-man rotation. He remains moderately unintegrated into the offense, but is a productive rebounder, especially on the offensive glass. Unfortunately, he has converted just 43.8 percent of them into put-back buckets. Stewart is likely to continue improving throughout year two of his young career.
Dec 3, 2021
Posts double-double in loss
Stewart supplied 12 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and one block across 35 minutes during Thursday's 114-103 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Stewart took only seven shots in the contest, but he made six of those attempts and grabbed 14 boards en route to his second straight double-double. He also swatted one shot for his fifth consecutive game. Stewart rarely takes more than 10 shots in a contest, so he isn't likely to emerge as a serious scoring threat anytime soon, but his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities make him worth rostering in most fantasy formats.
Dec 1, 2021
Monster double-double
Stewart registered 15 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 110-92 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons might have lost, but Stewart had an impressive performance on both ends of the court and registered his first double-double of the campaign. This was just the fifth time he scored in double digits this year, though, so it's hard to trust him in fantasy while his offensive game continues to develop. The upside is there, though, and Stewart is clearly a player to target in dynasty leagues due to his long-term potential.
Nov 29, 2021
Muted effort in loss
Stewart ended with five points (2-7 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 27 minutes during Sunday's 110-106 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was barely noticeable during the loss, struggling to have any sort of tangible impact against the likes of Anthony Davis. It's been a rough season thus far for Stewart who came into the season with a decent amount of hype. He has certainly not lived up to expectations but is probably still a soft hold in 12-team leagues. Fantasy managers, although frustrated, should try and give him at least another game or two to see if he can play himself out of this funk.
Nov 26, 2021
Grabs 12 boards in return
Stewart racked up four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one block and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 107-96 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Coming off of a two-game suspension for his role in Sunday's altercation with LeBron James and the Lakers, Stewart made his return to action and was back in the starting lineup. It was another quiet offensive night for the second-year big man, who scored fewer than 10 points for the 11th time in his last 12 appearances. However, he grabbed double-digit boards for the third time in five games, and he continues to be a solid source of blocks (1.2 BPG).
Nov 22, 2021
Suspended two games
Stewart received a two-game suspension for his role in Sunday's altercation with LeBron James, and Stewart will begin serving the ban Tuesday against the Heat, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The league office said Stewart was suspended "for escalating an on-court altercation by repeatedly and aggressively pursuing Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James in an unsportsmanlike manner." James was also suspended one contest for initiating the incident by recklessly hitting Stewart in the face. Stewart will also miss Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
Nov 21, 2021
Tossed after scuffle with LeBron
Stewart has been ejected from Sunday's game against the Lakers following an altercation with LeBron James and other Lakers players, Rod Beard of the Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart and James got into it after James appeared to hit the second-year big man with a closed fist while the two battled for position during a free throw. Stewart came away bloodied and had to be restrained by several teammates and coaches while attempting to escalate the situation with James and other Lakers players. Once the fracas subsided, Stewart was tossed from the game, while James was also ejected after being assessed a Flagrant-2 foul. Russell Westbrook picked up a technical, as well, but he was not ejected from the game. It's possible Stewart could face further discipline from the league, so keep an eye on his status ahead of Tuesday's game against Miami.
Nov 21, 2021
Available vs. Lakers
Stewart (ankle) is available against the Lakers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Unsurprisingly, Stewart remains available despite him rolling one of his ankles Friday. He averaged 7.4 points and 8.8 rebounds across the Pistons' previous eight home games.
Nov 20, 2021
Probable vs. Lakers
Stewart (ankle) is probable Sunday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart exited Friday's game against the Wizards early due to an ankle injury, but it shouldn't prevent him from playing Sunday. He's had double-digit rebounds in two out of his past three games.
Nov 19, 2021
Won't return Friday
Stewart (ankle) had to be helped to the locker room in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Warriors and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
ANALYSIS
Stewart rolled his ankle just after halftime Friday and appeared to be in considerable pain as he was helped off the court. Trey Lyles and Luka Garza should see increased playing time during the second half, and it's not yet clear when Stewart will be able to return.
Nov 15, 2021
Grabs 15 rebounds Monday
Stewart closed Monday's loss to the Kings with eight points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 15 rebounds and one assist across 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was a beast on the boards despite the loss, as the center grabbed a season high with his second double-figure rebounding outing this year. The center has reached the eight-point mark offensively in six matchups so far while grabbing at least nine rebounds three different times.
Nov 14, 2021
Efficient performance Saturday
Stewart finished Saturday's 127-121 victory over the Raptors with 20 points (9-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 20-point output represented a season-high mark for Stewart, and it's fair to say this offensive performance came out of nowhere considering he hadn't scored more than eight points in any of his previous six games. In fact, Stewart has scored in double digits just four times this season, so he's not likely to deliver these scoring figures on a regular basis.
Nov 13, 2021
Secures seven rebounds
Stewart provided two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven rebounds and two blocks over 24 minutes during Friday's 98-78 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's scoring output remained limited by his low shot volume in Friday's matchup, but he tied for the team lead on the boards in the blowout loss. The 20-year-old hasn't scored in double figures since Oct. 30, but he's brought in at least seven rebounds in each of the last five games.
Oct 29, 2021
Struggles in loss Thursday
Stewart had just four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and a block in 18 minutes of action during Thursday's 110-102 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart had his worst outing of the young season by far during Thursday's action but he wasn't alone, as a majority of his teammates had trouble getting going throughout the game. It's entirely possible the second-year big man had some trouble matching up against a much bigger Joel Embiid. Fantasy managers shouldn't be so quick to panic after Thursday. Despite his poor showing, Stewart still has a strong ceiling as one of the bright, young centerpieces of this rebuilding Pistons team.
Oct 25, 2021
Superb all-around effort
Stewart produced 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal during Monday's loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
The second-year center started his third straight matchup this season and finished in double figures for a second time. Additionally, Stewart provided many other key statistical contributions including a career-high five assists. Across the first three games to begin the campaign, Stewart is averaging 26.3 minutes, 10.3 points and 9.0 rebounds.
Oct 21, 2021
Goes for 12 and eight in opener
Stewart finished Wednesday's game against the Bulls with 12 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds and one block.
ANALYSIS
The big man got the start at center, but he played only 26 minutes while splitting time with Kelly Olynyk (22 minutes) and, to a lesser degree, Trey Lyles (17 minutes). Of that trio, Stewart is the most intriguing long-term fantasy play after he led all rookies in both total points and blocks in 2020-21.
Oct 16, 2021
Double-double in preseason finale
Stewart finished Friday's preseason game against the 76ers with 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds and two blocks.
ANALYSIS
The big man started at center next to Jerami Grant and had an efficient night from the field while racking up a pair of blocks and leading all players in rebounds. Coming off of a surprisingly effective rookie season, expectations are high for Stewart, who led all rookies in both total blocks and rebounds in 2020-21. He closes the preseason with averages of 8.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 21.9 minutes per game.
Oct 7, 2021
Quiet Outing in Win
Stewart ended with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), eight rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes of the win over the Spurs on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart was fairly quiet offensively, but was still able to make an impact with his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities. Entering the season as the starting center, the 20-year-old could be very relevant in fantasy if he can improve upon his offensive consistency,
Oct 5, 2021
Off injury report for Wednesday
Stewart (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's preseason opener against the Spurs, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
ANALYSIS
In July, Stewart picked up an ankle injury while scrimmaging with Team USA, but he's fully recovered and will play Wednesday. He'll presumably start at center this season, and he's typically being selected before pick 90 in fantasy drafts. A strong preseason could push him further up the ranks.
Oct 5, 2021
Detroit exercises team option
The Pistons picked up the team option on Stewart's contract Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has dealt with an ankle injury during the offseason, but the Pistons expect the big man to be their starting center during the regular season. As a rookie, he averaged 7.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 21.4 minutes per game.
Aug 15, 2021
'Ahead of schedule' in rehab
Stewart (ankle) said he is "ahead of schedule" as he works back from a July ankle injury sustained while scrimmaging with Team USA, Omari Sankofa of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Speaking to Sankofa in Las Vegas on Saturday, Stewart confirmed that he will not participate in any of the Pistons' Summer League games, though he noted that his recovery from the ankle injury is going well. "I'm doing pretty good," Stewart said. "I'm ahead of schedule, but they're not rushing me back or anything. They want me ready and 100% healthy or training camp going into the season." The big man, who suffered the injury back on July 8, said he's yet to return to playing five-on-five and has not taken contact during on-court work. Stewart led all rookies in total blocks and total rebounds last season and was one of the few bright spots for one of the NBA's worst teams. He'll likely be set for a larger and more consistent workload in 2021-22, though his exact role remains clouded after the Pistons swapped out Mason Plumlee for veteran Kelly Olynyk this offseason.

Suffers ankle injury at scrimmage
Stewart suffered an ankle injury during Thursday's USA Select Team vs. Team USA scrimmage, and he left the game to get treatment, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The severity of the injury is unknown, so it's not clear if Stewart is in jeopardy of missing time next season. He's coming off an excellent rookie season. Drafted 16th overall out of Washington, the center averaged 12.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 1.1 assists in the 14 games that he started.
May 15, 2021
Out for finale
Stewart is out for Sunday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Due to a personal matter, Stewart's season will come to a close early. He was the 16th overall pick in the 2020 Draft and he arguably played above his draft position. The rookie saw 21.4 minutes per game and averaged 7.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.
May 13, 2021
Won't play Friday
Stewart (personal) is listed as out for Friday's game against Denver.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will be sidelined for the first time since the beginning of the season due to a personal matter. Considering that Detroit has just one more game after Friday, he may be done for the season. Across 68 games thus far, Stewart has averaged 7.9 points on 55.3 percent shooting, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest.
May 10, 2021
Closes week with stellar line
Stewart totaled 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 32 minutes Sunday in the Pistons' 108-96 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee resting for the sixth time in seven games, Stewart's production unsurprisingly trended back up again after the rookie was limited to nine points, six boards and two blocks in 20 minutes when Plumlee suited up for Saturday's 118-104 loss to the 76ers. None of Detroit's final three games are part of a back-to-back set, but that doesn't necessarily mean Plumlee will be back in the lineup again this season. Even if Plumlee is shut down for good, Stewart may not be an appealing option in weekly leagues; the Pistons are one of only two teams playing fewer than four games in the final week of the season.
May 9, 2021
Back in starting five
Stewart will start Sunday's game against Chicago, Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After coming off the bench behind Mason Plumlee on Saturday night, Stewart will return to the lineup as Plumlee sits on the second half of the back-to-back. Plumlee has technically been the Pistons' No. 1 center, but his fantasy value has dropped off a cliff over the last few weeks amid an ultra-aggressive resting plan.
May 8, 2021
Coming off bench
Stewart will come off the bench Saturday against the 76ers, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee available after resting for five games, Stewart will return to the bench. During Stewart's past five games as a reserve, he's averaged 11.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 21.6 minutes.
May 3, 2021
Swats three shots
Stewart scored 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along eight rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes in Monday's loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Stewart topped 30 minutes for the first time in his last six games, and he attempted double-digit field goals for the second time that span. Though he struggled from deep, Stewart still managed to grab plenty of boards and rack up defensive stats. He's now nabbed one steal in four consecutive games while swatting multiple shots on six straight occasions.

The big man also pulled down 10 boards for his eighth career double-double. He is averaging 12.0 points, 11.5 boards and 2.0 blocks over his past eight games and figures to get a long look down the stretch for the 19-44 Pistons.

Apr 21, 2021
Quiet in move to bench
Stewart had seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT), six boards, two assists and one steal in Wednesday's loss to the Mavs.
ANALYSIS
Coming off of a few big-time performances, Stewart took on a lesser role off the bench with Mason Plumlee starting and playing 32 minutes. The rookie has proven capable of racking up points, rebounds and defensive stats whenever the minutes are there, but on nights when Plumlee is active, Stewart's ceiling is quite a bit lower.
Apr 21, 2021
Shifts back to bench
Stewart will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart will return to his usual bench role as Mason Plumlee rejoins Detroit's starting five. He's averaging 7.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 20.3 minutes per game this season.
Apr 19, 2021
Posts another double-double
Stewart scored 18 points (8-12 FG, 2-2 FT) to go along with 16 rebounds, three steals and three blocks across 32 minutes in Monday's win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart re-entered the starting lineup Monday, with Mason Plumlee sidelined for rest. He took advantage of the opportunity, posting his third consecutive double-double. Equally impactful was Stewart's work on the defensive end of the floor, as he nabbed a career-high three steals and posted multiple blocks for the third consecutive contest. Whether starting or coming off the bench, Stewart should be headed for a big role to close the season, particularly when Plumlee finds himself sidelined.

ANALYSIS

Big double-double off bench
Stewart went for 19 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 12 rebounds and two blocks in Saturday night's loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
While he came off the bench behind Mason Plumlee, Stewart ended up seeing a larger role (24 vs. 16 minutes) and giving the Pistons a much-needed second-unit spark. Stewart still leads all rookies in total rebounds and total blocks, and he's now up to 15.3 points, 13.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks over his last three games (26.0 MPG).
Apr 17, 2021
Back to bench
Stewart will come off the bench Saturday against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS

Big double-double in win
Stewart posted 15 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 21 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Friday's win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
It was a monster effort from the rookie, who started at center in place of the resting Mason Plumlee. In 32 minutes, Stewart set a new career high in rebounds while notching his third-highest point total of the season. Stewart can still provide lower-end value when coming off the bench, but he'll be a player to monitor closely over the next few weeks in the event the Pistons begin to rest Plumlee more aggressively.
Apr 10, 2021
Shifts back to bench
Stewart will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS

Apr 9, 2021
Fills in with a double-double
Stewart recorded 16 points (8-10 FG, 0-1 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, a steal and a blocked shot across 33 minutes in Thursday's 113-101 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee (concussion) sidelined, Stewart drew the start at center and recorded the fourth double-double of his NBA career. Stewart's work off the boards makes him the best rebounder of the 2020 class at this point in the season with an average of six rebounds per game, At only 19 years old, the Washington product works his 6-8 frame like a seasoned veteran, and his opportunities with Detroit will only increase over time.
Apr 8, 2021
Starting Thursday's game
Stewart will start Thursday against the Kings, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee (concussion) on the sidelines, Stewart will slide in as the starting center. This will mark the fourth start of the season for the rookie, who should see a slight increase in his workload while Plumlee is out. In his last start, Stewart posted 12 points, six rebounds, four blocks and one steal across 22 minutes.
Apr 7, 2021
Secures eight rebounds
Stewart totaled nine points (4-5 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and two assists in a 134-119 loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart returned to a bench role with Mason Plumlee (rest) returning to the starting lineup, but he still played 27 minutes and contributed another solid stat line. The center has had a consistent role on Detroit's bench the last several weeks due to his rebounding ability and paint presence on defense. Stewart has averaged 7.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks across 23.3 minutes in his last four games.
Apr 5, 2021
Swats four shots Monday
Stewart delivered 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four blocks and a steal across 22 minutes in Monday's win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Stewart started for the third time in his young career considering Mason Plumlee (rest) was unavailable, and he responded by showing efficiency on offense and contributing on defense. The four blocks were a season-high mark for the big man, but these defensive contributions are nothing new for the rookie first-round pick -- he has recorded two or more blocks in 14 games already. This gives him a decent source of value since his offensive skill set remains a work in progress.
Apr 5, 2021
Receives third start Monday
Stewart will start Monday's game at Oklahoma City, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick will make his third start of his career Monday with Mason Plumlee (rest) unavailable. Stewart averaged 11.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes over his previous two starts.
Mar 27, 2021
Productive game off bench
Stewart posted 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), eight rebounds, an assist and a block across 21 minutes off the bench in Saturday's loss against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Stewart produced the same 11-point, eight-rebound performance than Mason Plumlee despite logging six fewer minutes off the bench, and the first-round pick has been very productive over the last few weeks. He has scored in double digits in six of his last seven contests while also grabbing at least six boards in four of his last five appearances.
Mar 21, 2021
Adds 11 points, six boards in loss
Stewart played 23 minutes off the bench and added 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six rebounds, two blocks and one steal Sunday in the loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The rookie center has now seen at least 20 minutes of playing time in 10 straight games and has not disappointed. While he's not to the point of surpassing Mason Plumlee as the starter, he's continuing to show that he can contribute on both ends of the floor. For his last 10 games, Stewart is averaging 8.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 0.7 steals while shooting 65.5 percent from the floor across 22.8 minutes per game.

Minutes continue ticking up
Stewart scored 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes in Friday's win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Stewart continues to see his role increase, as he's now reached at least 23 minutes in four of his last five games. Friday's performance was his best in that span, as he topped 10 points for only the third time this season. While his scoring hasn't stood out, he's averaged 6.8 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 steals in his last five contests.
Feb 24, 2021
Third double-double Wednesday
Stewart had 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals and one block during Wednesday's loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was superb off the bench for the Pistons despite the loss, as the center recorded his third double-double of the season. It was also his first game in double figures offensively since dropping a career-high 17 points against Indiana on Feb. 11. Stewart was averaging 5.1 points and 5.3 rebounds entering Wednesday.
Feb 15, 2021
Drops back to bench role
Stewart moved to the bench and recorded four points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three blocks across 18 minutes Sunday in the Pistons' 123-112 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee (elbow) back in action after a brief absence, Stewart's two-game run in the starting five came to an end. Stewart was able to provide value in the blocks category in particular during his outing Sunday, but he'll struggle to do that consistently gets less than 20 minutes when Plumlee is available.
Feb 11, 2021
Impresses in first career start
Stewart delivered 17 points (8-9 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block across 31 minutes in Thursday's loss against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Stewart earned his first career start due to Mason Plumlee's absence, as the veteran big man was ruled out with an elbow problem, and the Washington product embraced the chance to post his best game of the season. Stewart might remain in the starting lineup as long as Plumlee remains out, especially after looking so productive here.
Feb 11, 2021
Looks set for first start
Stewart is set to draw his first career start against the Pacers on Thursday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart's opportunity comes with Mason Plumlee (undisclosed) inactive Thursday. On the season, Stewart is averaging 5.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists across 17.3 minutes per game.
Feb 6, 2021
Strong line in 24 minutes
Stewart scored 10 points (5-6 FG, 0-2 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks across 24 minutes in Friday's loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons ran a deep rotation, with only Jerami Grant topping 30 minutes. That worked to the benefit of Stewart, who got a career-high 24 minutes and managed his second double-double of the season. Even though he's seen an average of only 18 minutes, Stewart has put up 0.8 blocks and 0.4 steals per game this season. If he continues to see an increased role, Stewart could be a valuable contributor in boards and both defensive stats as the campaign progresses.
Jan 21, 2021
Has well-rounded game
Stewart posted four points (2-4 FG), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 16 minutes during the 123-115 overtime loss to Atlanta on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been a consistent provider from the secondary-unit this season and continued that trend in the loss Wednesday. The center has been a great addition and reserve role. There have not been many games if any, where he isn't able to help balance Detroit out in the paint and would be a viable play if he ever gets more time.
Jan 16, 2021
Records double-double from bench
Stewart tallied 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and a steal across 19 minutes in Saturday's 120-100 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
With the game well in hand, the Pistons decided to give their 2020 first-rounder an extended look, and he did not disappoint. The Washington product turned in his best effort yet as a Piston, finishing with his first double-digit total. Although the center has promise and is sure to be part of Detroit's rebuilding effort, he'll likely remain a second-unit producer.
Jan 8, 2021
Limited role so far
Stewart scored zero points (0-2 FG) while adding four rebounds, a steal and a block in nine minutes off the bench during Friday's 110-105 overtime win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The 16th overall pick in the 2020 draft has seen the court in seven straight games, but this was the first time Stewart failed to see double-digit minutes, even with Friday's contest going an extra frame. The rookie has shown hints of fantasy upside if he works his way into a larger role, but with Mason Plumlee seeing big minutes, as yet there's little court time left over at center for Stewart.
