Coughs up six turnovers in win
Duren closed Friday's 122-116 victory over Portland with 18 points (6-11 FG, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds and one block over 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren was limited by foul trouble in this one, struggled at the line, and set a new season high in turnovers with six, but the Pistons were still able to get the win. Duren will look to bounce back with a more robust statistical performance Saturday against the Bucks.

Cleared from injury report
Duren (leg) is off the injury report for Monday's game against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
After being out for Saturday's game against the Heat due to a lower left leg contusion, Duren is shedding a probable tag with the injury Monday. For the campaign so far, the star big man is rolling with averages of 19.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest in 29.1 minutes per contest across 17 games.
Nov 30, 2025
Probable for Monday
Duren (leg) is probable for Monday's matchup with the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Duren skipped the second leg of a back-to-back set Saturday with a minor leg issue, but he'll be back in action Monday evening and should see his usual minutes as a starter. Duren's return will likely result in Isaiah Stewart shifting back to the second unit and Paul Reed won't play as much.
Nov 29, 2025
Won't play Saturday
Duren is out for Saturday's matchup against the Heat due to a lower left leg contusion.
ANALYSIS
Duren is coming off a strong performance against the Magic but suffered an injury in the process. As a result, the center will miss his third game of the season. In his stead, more minutes should be available for Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed.
Nov 29, 2025
Posts another double-double
Duren logged 16 points (5-8 FG, 6-6 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, four blocks and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 112-109 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been one of the best two-way bigs in the NBA this season, and he's a double-double threat every time he steps on the hardwood. He's recorded eight double-doubles over his last 10 games dating back to Nov. 5, but that wasn't the only area in which he stood out in this loss Friday. His four blocks were a season-high output as well.
Nov 24, 2025
Pulls down 12 boards in win
Duren closed with 17 points (6-10 FG, 5-8 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Monday's 122-117 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
While Duren did a nice job on the glass, this was his second straight game with fewer than 20 points and no defensive statistics. He's also committed six turnovers over the past two games and he's gone 10-for-16 at the charity stripe. Duren will look to snap out of this mini-slump Wednesday in Boston.
Nov 22, 2025
Efficient in win
Duren logged 19 points (7-10 FG, 5-8 FT), six rebounds and five assists across 27 minutes during Saturday's 129-116 victory over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Duren was unable to record a double-double for a second consecutive appearance, something that hadn't happened since the first two games of the season. However, he still delivered an efficient line across the board. With this performance Saturday, Duren now has seven straight games scoring at least 19 points, and he's also recorded double-digit rebounds five times over that stretch.
Nov 19, 2025
Drops 24 points in win
Duren posted 24 points (8-12 FG, 8-11 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 29 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
After missing two games due to an ankle injury, Duren returned to play both legs of a back-to-back, and looked like the dominant self he was showing prior to his injury. Duren is averaging 20.6 points, 11.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks across 29.0 minutes this season and is making a serious case for this year's Most Improved Player award.
Nov 17, 2025
Double-doubles in return
Duren racked up 31 points (12-13 FG, 7-11 FT), 15 rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes during Monday's 127-112 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren looked fresh in his return from a two-game absence, dominating the paint and notching his fifth straight double-double of the season. He's pulling down a career-high 12.3 rebounds per game on the year, which ranks fifth in the league. Paul Reed returned to the second unit with Duren active and finished with seven points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one turnover in the easy win over Indiana.
Nov 17, 2025
Cleared to play Monday
Duren (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren, who had been listed as probable with a right ankle sprain and missed the past two games, will suit up Monday. His return may trim the minutes of Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed, the latter having started the previous two contests for the Pistons.
Nov 16, 2025
Expected to play Monday
Duren (ankle) is probable for Monday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren is considered likely to return to the lineup after missing the past two games for Detroit. With Duren expected back in the mix, Isaiah Stewart could lose some steam in the frontcourt and Paul Reed could be pushed to the edge of the rotation once again.
Nov 14, 2025
Won't play Friday
Duren (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Duren is set to spend his second straight game on the inactive list Friday, which could lead to big minutes for Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed. Duren's next chance to play will come Monday against the Pacers, though he should be considered questionable at best for that one, given it's the first game of a back-to-back set.
Nov 13, 2025
Iffy for Friday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Cade Cuningham (hip) is also questionable, as Detroit's two stars are both in jeopardy of missing their second straight contest. The questionable tag suggests that Duren is day-to-day, and fantasy managers will be eager to get him back in lineups with how well he's fared thus far. There is likely to be another update following the Friday morning shootaround.
Nov 12, 2025
Won't play Wednesday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss his first game of the season due to a sprained right ankle he sustained in Monday's overtime win over Washington. With the big man and Isaiah Stewart (ankle) both sidelined, Paul Reed, Isaac Jones and Tolu Smith are candidates for increased minutes. Duren's next opportunity to play will come Friday against the 76ers.
Nov 12, 2025
Downgraded to questionable
Duren (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren was initially considered probable, but he wasn't at the morning shootaround and has now been downgraded which isn't a good sign for his availability. This will be Detroit's fourth game in five nights, so a maintenance day could be on the table here.
Nov 12, 2025
Not seen at shootaround
Duren (ankle) was not spotted at Wednesday's morning shootaround, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren is listed as probable, while Cade Cunningham (hip) is questionable. Neither player was present at the shootaround, but it's possible that both of them were receiving treatment. This is certainly something to monitor as the Pistons are already very shorthanded.
Nov 11, 2025
Listed as probable
Duren is probable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been on a tear of late with four straight double-doubles, averaging 23.0 points, 15.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks per game in that stretch. The probable tag suggests the big man should be able to play and handle his regular workload Wednesday, though in the event he's not able to do so, Paul Reed and Isaiah Stewart (ankle) would be next in line to handle minutes at center.
Nov 10, 2025
Fills stat sheet with double-double
Duren accumulated 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-7 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 37 minutes during Sunday's 111-108 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Cade Cunningham stole the show for the Pistons with his 26-point, 11-assist performance, but Duren made his presence felt as well and clearly won the battle against Andre Drummond. This was Duren's third straight double-double and fifth over his last six games. The big man is averaging 24.0 points, 13.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and a combined 2.4 steals-plus-blocks in five games since the beginning of December.
Nov 7, 2025
Goes for 30-and-11 in win
Duren recorded 30 points (11-14 FG, 8-8 FT), 11 rebounds and three steals over 30 minutes during Friday's 125-107 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Duren continues to put together the best stretch of his young career, helping Detroit to its fifth consecutive victory. He has now scored at least 21 points in four of the past five games, two of which he tallied at least 30 points. Through nine appearances, Duren is averaging 19.2 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.1 combined steals and blocks in 26,8 minutes per game.
Nov 5, 2025
Massive night on boards
Duren totaled 22 points (10-15 FG, 2-4 FT), 22 rebounds, three assists and one block in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 victory over Utah.
ANALYSIS
Duren enjoyed an efficient evening on the offensive end, drilling 10 field goals for just the second time this season. His 22 rebounds also mark a season high and his third double-double in four games. Duren is averaging 22.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks during this impressive four-game stretch.
Nov 2, 2025
Career-best effort against Mavs
Duren ended with 33 points (13-16 FG, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 122-110 win over Dallas in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
The 33 points were a career high, as Duren notched his third double-double in the last four games. The fourth-year center could be headed for a breakout offensive season, fueled by a strong early performance at the free-throw line -- Duren is shooting a career-best 84.6 percent from the charity stripe on 6.5 FT attempts a game, more than double his volume from last season.
Oct 29, 2025
Secures second double-double
Duren posted 21 points (5-9 FG, 11-12 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 135-116 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Duren had an efficient night on the offensive end and scored over half of his points from the charity stripe. He also managed to turn in his second double-double in three games with the help of another strong rebounding performance. Duren looks to be back on track following a sluggish first few games of the 2025-26 season.
Oct 26, 2025
Big double-double in Sunday's win
Duren had 24 points (6-12 FG, 12-13 FT), 18 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 28 minutes during Sunday's 119-113 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year center managed only 12 boards through the Pistons' first two games combined, but Duren flashed his upside on the glass in his first double-double of 2025-26. The 24 points were also an early season high, although his night was cut short Friday when he picked up a Flagrant 2 foul and was elected after just 12 minutes. Duren has averaged a double-double in each of the last two seasons, but Detroit is counting on the 21-year-old to take a step forward now that he's gained more strength and experience.
Oct 24, 2025
Ejected Friday
Duren was ejected from Friday's game after collecting a flagrant 2 foul for elbowing Amen Thompson in the face.
ANALYSIS
Duren appeared to pull Thompson's arm as he went to move past him and caught him with his elbow while running to the hoop, so it'll be interesting to see if he faces further disciplinary action from the league. He'll end his evening with six points (3-4 FG), six rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover in 12 minutes, and if he needs to miss more games, Isaiah Stewart will be the primary beneficiary.
Oct 23, 2025
Efficient in limited playing time
Duren recorded 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 115-111 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
It was interesting to see Duren play fewer minutes than Isaiah Stewart, who double-doubled in 25 minutes off the bench. It's worth noting, however, that Duren was limited by hamstring tightness during training camp, perhaps prompting the Pistons to keep an eye on his workload Wednesday. Fantasy managers should expect the 2022 first-rounder's playing time to rise as he becomes further removed from the hamstring problem.
Oct 17, 2025
Looks great in win
Duren produced 20 points (8-10 FG, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks in 19 minutes of Thursday's 119-98 preseason win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Duren did all his damage in 19 minutes as he looked to be in mid-season form Thursday. He could be poised to make another leap after finishing as a seventh-round fantasy value in nine-category leagues during the 2045-25 regular season in just 26.1 minutes per contest.
Oct 14, 2025
Limited in return
Duren finished with eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 13 minutes during Tuesday's 118-100 preseason loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Duren, who had been bothered by a hamstring complaint, made his preseason debut Tuesday. He was limited to just 13 minutes, likely part of his return-to-action plan. Despite the reduced playing time, Duren appeared healthy and was active on both ends of the floor. Barring any setbacks, expect to see him in the starting lineup come Opening Night.
Oct 14, 2025
Recovered from hamstring injury
Duren (hamstring) is available for Tuesday's preseason game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Hamstring tightness has limited Druen throughout training camp, but fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief. Barring any setbacks, the big man should be good to go for the Oct. 22 regular-season opener in Chicago.
Oct 9, 2025
Won't go Thursday
Duren (hamstring) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks, Hunter Patterson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren can continue to be considered day-to-day while dealing with hamstring tightness. Isaiah Stewart will draw the start at center in Thursday's exhibition. Duren's next chance to see preseason action will arrive Tuesday in Cleveland.
Oct 7, 2025
Day-to-day with tight hamstring
Duren remains day-to-day with hamstring tightness, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons will likely continue to exercise caution with their top center, and there's no indication that Duren is in any real danger of missing Opening Night in late October. It's possible Duren won't play Thursday in Milwaukee, meaning Isaiah Stewart is potentially in line for another spot start. Paul Reed and two-way player Tolu Smith may also be needed to handle more playing time.
Oct 6, 2025
Dealing with hamstring soreness
Duren is day-to-day with hamstring soreness, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
This explains why Duren didn't start in Monday's preseason opener, and given the tricky nature of hamstring issues, we'd expect Duren to be brought along slowly through the preseason. If this is something that impacts him during the regular season, that would be a boon to Isaiah Stewart's value.
Oct 6, 2025
Will come off the bench Monday
Duren will come off the bench for Monday's preseason opener against Memphis, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
We wouldn't read too much into the starting lineup for a preseason opener. Duren started all 78 games he played in last season, so this is likely just J.B. Bickerstaff tinkering with some rotations for their first exhibition game of the season.
Apr 12, 2025
Pulls down 16 rebounds Friday
Duren accumulated 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-6 FT), 16 rebounds, five assists and one block across 39 minutes during Friday's 125-119 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Duren had to deal with Brook Lopez throughout the game, but the young big man still posted a decent stat line en route to recording a double-double for the sixth time across his last seven appearances. Duren is averaging 13.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.8 blocks per game in five outings since the beginning of April and is ending the regular season on a strong note with the playoffs right around the corner.
Apr 10, 2025
Perfect from field in double-double
Duren finished with 18 points (9-9 FG), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 26 minutes in Thursday's 115-106 win over the New York Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Duren was perfect in Thursday's contest, shooting a perfect mark from the field while leading all players in rebounds and coming up two points shy of the 20-point mark in a double-double outing. Duren has recorded at least 15 points and 10 boards in 21 outings this season.
Apr 8, 2025
Limited in return
Duren registered six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 20 minutes during Monday's 127-117 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Duren battled foul trouble in his return from a leg injury, limiting him to just 20 minutes. Initially ruled out for the game, Duren was able to get back on the court ahead of schedule, a good sign despite the loss. The Pistons will enter the playoffs full of hope but will need Duren to be at his best should they hope to emerge victorious.
Apr 7, 2025
Will play Monday after all
Duren (leg) is available for Monday's game against Sacramento, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was initially ruled out for Monday's contest due to a right leg contusion, but the third-year center out of Memphis has now been given the green light to return from a one-game absence. Duren has averaged 14.7 points on 67.8 percent shooting, 10.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks over 28.2 minutes per game since the beginning of March.
Apr 7, 2025
Remaining out Monday
Duren (leg) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Kings, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss his second consecutive game due to a right leg contusion. His next chance to suit up will come Thursday against the Knicks. Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates for a bump in minutes due to Duren being sidelined.
Apr 6, 2025
Questionable Sunday
Jason Anderson of The Sacramento BeeDuren (leg) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings, Anderson reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren is in danger of missing a second straight game for the Pistons while dealing with a contusion on his right leg. If he's ruled out against Sacramento, Detroit will likely turn to Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed to pick up the slack in the frontcourt.
Apr 5, 2025
Won't play vs. Memphis
Duren (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
After an impressive performance against the Raptors on Friday, Duren will not be available for the second game of back-to-back Saturday against Memphis due to a contusion on his right leg. The Pistons will likely have to lean on Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed to shoulder the load in the paint against the Grizzlies.
Apr 5, 2025
Late addition to injury report
Duren is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Grizzlies due to a right peroneal contusion.
ANALYSIS
Duren hadn't appeared on the injury report all day but is now in danger of missing Saturday's contest due to a lower leg injury. If Duren is downgraded to out, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Apr 5, 2025
Massive double-double
Duren provided 21 points (9-11 FG, 3-4 FT), 18 rebounds, six assists, four blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 117-105 victory over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Even though the impressive double-double is the first thing that jumps out, as Duren grabbed his third-best rebounding output of the campaign, it's hard not to look at his contributions in other categories, mainly assists and blocks. Duren is one of the best two-way big men in the NBA and is ending the regular season on a strong note. He's recorded five double-doubles over his last six outings, averaging 16.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 blocks per game in that stretch.
Apr 3, 2025
Records double-double
Duren amassed 13 points (3-10 FG, 7-10 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Duren struggled badly from the floor, and his efficiency from the charity stripe was the main reason why he ended up with a double-double in this loss. The big man continues to play at a high level on both ends of the court and is ending the regular season on a strong note. He's tallied four double-doubles over his last five outings, averaging 15.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks per game in that span.
Mar 25, 2025
Tallies seven assists in win
Duren ended Tuesday's 122-96 win over San Antonio with 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 FT), seven assists and four rebounds over 24 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren tied his career-high mark in assists during his limited run in Tuesday's blowout win. The third-year big man has now dished out at least five dimes in 12 outings this season, including twice in his last five games. Duren's seven assists were also a game high, and he chipped in double-digit points for a fourth consecutive contest as well.
Mar 23, 2025
Balanced outing in double-double
Duren chipped in 22 points (8-11 FG, 6-9 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes during Sunday's 136-130 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Duren held things down in the paint for Detroit in Sunday's contest, leading all players in rebounds while pacing all Pistons starters in scoring in a double-double outing. Duren has been a double-double machine this season, recording 35 double-doubles including two in his last three contests.
Mar 22, 2025
Perfect from field in loss
Duren chipped in 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 27 minutes during Friday's 123-117 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Duren finished just one rebound shy of a double-double in this loss, but he had an excellent stat line across his 27 minutes of action -- he went perfect from the floor and also made his presence felt on defense with two swats. Duren has seven double-doubles in 11 appearances this month, tallying 13.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 blocks per game in March.
Mar 20, 2025
Strong double-double
Duren had 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Duren recorded a double-double for the fifth time across his last seven outings, and in fact, he's achieved that feat in seven of Detroit's 10 games during the current month. That two-way ability makes him a reliable fantasy option across all formats, and his two-men game with Cade Cunningham in the pick-and-roll gives him a steady does of touches on offense as a rim finisher. Duren is averaging 13.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 blocks per game since the beginning of March.
Mar 14, 2025
Top rebounder in double-double

ANALYSIS
Duren racked up his 31st double-double of the season in the win. He remains on pace for a seventh-round finish in nine-category leagues this season on a per-game basis, and a fifth-round finish if you ignore free-throw percentage. Through 62 games, Duren holds averages of 11.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 blocks.
Mar 6, 2025
Battles foul trouble Wednesday
Duren posted seven points (2-3 FG, 3-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 26 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 123-115 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Duren fouled out in just 26 minutes, culminating in what was his worst performance in almost three months. Despite this effort, it's been a breakout season for Duren, realizing some of the potential many had been hoping for. The Pistons are pushing hard for a playoff spot, an effort that will require Duren to remain on the court.
Mar 4, 2025
Posts massive line
Duren closed with 16 points (5-5 FG, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, four blocks and two steals across 30 minutes during Monday's 134-106 win over Utah.

Coming off arguably his worst game in more than two months, Duren recorded yet another double-double, continuing what has been an impressive stretch of games. After a slow start to the campaign, Duren has turned things around, averaging 14.1 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.1 combined steals and blocks over the past month.
Feb 26, 2025
Records another double-double
Duren finished Wednesday's 117-97 victory over Boston with 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS

Feb 24, 2025

Duren tallied 12 points (4-9 FG, 4-6 FT), 19 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes in Monday's 106-97 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Duren dominated the paint in Monday's contest, leading all players in rebounds while finishing one board short of the 20-rebound mark and concluding as the lone Pistons player with a double-double. Duren posted his second-highest rebound mark of the year, falling shy of his season-high 22 boards recorded Nov. 18. He has now tallied at least 10 points and 15 rebounds in six outings.
Feb 22, 2025
Big double-double in San Antonio
Duren closed with 21 points (10-14 FG, 1-1 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Friday's 125-110 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Without Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) to worry about, Duren dominated the glass en route to his 25th double-double of the season. The 21 points also tied his season high, and the third-year center has pulled down double-digit boards in 14 of the last 16 games, averaging 14.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.9 steals over that stretch while shooting a stunning 70.7 percent from the floor. Duren has also become an asset at the charity stripe, shooting 84.6 percent on free throws during that span.
Feb 13, 2025
Strong double-double in win
Duren closed Wednesday's 128-110 win over Chicago with 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-5 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals over 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS

The double-double was his 19th of the season and sixth in his last seven games. Duren has found his 2023-24 form over the second half of January, and during that seven-game stretch the third-year center is averaging 14.0 points, 12.4 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.6 blocks and 0.9 steals while shooting an eye-popping 71.7 percent from the floor.

ANALYSIS
Even though Cade Cunningham grabbed most of the headlines in this win, it's impossible to overlook what Duren did in this huge win. He went perfect from the field and not only recorded his third straight double-double, but he also recorded at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. Duren, who has also scored in double digits in five straight outings, is averaging 11.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game since the beginning of January.
Jan 19, 2025

Jan 10, 2025
Strong defense in close loss
Duren totaled eight points (3-6 FG, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 107-104 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Duren's two steals tied his season high, and his three blocks were one short of tying his season high. Defense is the weak point of the center's game and a significant reason why his minutes per game (25.1) are down from last year (29.1). His play has been improved overall since the beginning of December, however, averaging 10.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in 26.4 minutes.
Jan 7, 2025

ANALYSIS
Duren held things down in the paint for Detroit in Friday's outing, leading all players in rebounds while swatting a team-best blocks total and concluding with a double-double in a winning effort. Duren has posted a double-double in 12 contests this season, including in three of his last four appearances.
Jan 2, 2025
Records another double-double
Duren had 18 points (9-10 FG), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 105-96 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Duren had an efficient performance to kick off the new year in style, as he missed just one of his 10 shots from the field and recorded a double-double for the third time across his last five games. He's not the double-double machine he was in 2023-24, but Duren remains a solid player on both ends of the court while operating as the anchor down low for an improved Detroit team. Duren is averaging 11.1 points and 8.5 boards per contest since the beginning of December.
Dec 26, 2024
Cleared to play Thursday
Duren (ankle) is off the injury report for Thursday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Duren will suit up following a probable tag due to a sprained left ankle. The big man has appeared in four consecutive outings since missing the club's Dec. 12 loss to Boston due to a wrist injury, and in the month of December, he has averaged 9.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 27.0 minutes per contest while shooting 70.0 percent from the field in seven matchups.
Dec 25, 2024
Expected to play Thursday
Duren is probable for Thursday's game against the Kings due to a left ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Duren has appeared in four straight games since missing a Dec. 12 loss in Boston due to a wrist injury. The big man is expected to play through the minor ankle sprain, but he's scored in double figures only once over his last four appearances, averaging 10.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.8 minutes per game during that stretch.
Dec 22, 2024
Records 17/11 double-double
Duren closed with 17 points (7-7 FG, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes during Saturday's 133-125 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Duren logged his ninth double-double of the season and seems to be past the wrist injury that caused an absence last week. His 34 minutes on the court marked his second-highest minute total of the season, which is an encouraging sign for the third-year pro after logging a 26-game average of five fewer minutes per contest compared to his sophomore campaign.
Dec 16, 2024
Owns paint in return to lineup
Duren chipped in nine points (4-7 FG, 1-1 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 125-124 overtime win over Miami.

Dec 12, 2024
Won't play Friday
Duren (wrist) is out for Thursday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Duren was a late addition to the injury report earlier Thursday, and the star big man will sit this matchup against Boston due to this wrist injury. It's unclear if it's an issue that will force Duren to miss extended time, but until a more precise timeline for his return is provided, he should be considered questionable to face the Heat on Monday. This means Isaiah Stewart is likely to move into the starting lineup.
Dec 12, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Duren is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Celtics due to a right wrist sprain.
ANALYSIS
Duren is in danger of missing his first game since Nov. 10 due to a sprained right wrist. If Duren is ultimately ruled out, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Dec 4, 2024
Three rejections in Tuesday's loss
Duren recorded 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 20 minutes during Tuesday's 128-107 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS

Nov 30, 2024
Limited to 13 minutes in loss
Duren provided four points (2-2 FG) and two assists over 13 minutes during Saturday's 111-96 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Most of the starters struggled in this matchup, and Duren wasn't the exception -- he only logged 13 minutes, to the disappointment of fantasy managers. Duren has been far from the double-double machine he was in 2023-24, and he's reached that outcome just eight times so far. He's also recorded single-digit points in four of his last six appearances.
Nov 30, 2024
Paces Detroit in rebounds
Duren provided 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-7 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 26 minutes during Friday's 130-106 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Duren led his team in rebounds and grabbed double-digit boards for the second time in his last three appearances, resulting in his sixth double-double of November. He also posted another strong showing at the rim and has recorded 10 blocks over his last four games. This was a timely performance on the offensive end for Duren, who had been held to seven points or fewer in three of his last four matchups.
Nov 26, 2024
Double-doubles in win
Duren supplied 13 points (4-7 FG, 5-8 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and four blocks over 25 minutes during Monday's 102-100 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Duren recorded his seventh double-double of the campaign, and that will be a relief to his fantasy managers after he posted a couple duds in his previous two games. This was his fifth career game with at least four blocks, as he finished one swat shy of his career best. He's averaging 24.8 minutes compared to 29.1 during the 2023-24 campaign, and that's currently capping his upside.
Nov 22, 2024
Grabs nine boards Thursday
Duren posted five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes during Thursday's 123-121 overtime loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The big man was limited in the loss while playing fewer minutes than Isaiah Stewart for the second time in the club's last three outings. Duren posted nine-plus rebounds for the 10th time this season, though he scored five or fewer points for the fifth time over 15 regular-season appearances. In his last five outings, the 21-year-old has averaged 10.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 64.7 percent from the field across 26.4 minutes per game.
Nov 18, 2024
Huge night on boards
Duren ended with 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 FT), 22 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 30 minutes during Monday's 122-112 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren lived on the glass all evening, securing a season-high 22 rebounds while notching his second straight double-double. The big man has now recorded double-digit rebounding performances in three of his last five appearances. Duren also had a strong showing on the defensive end, accounting for two of his squad's three swats.
Nov 17, 2024
Starting after all Sunday
Duren is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
It was initially reported that Isaiah Stewart was going to start at center Sunday, but that appears to have been an error as Duren has been listed in the Pistons' starting five.
Nov 17, 2024
Not starting Sunday
Duren won't start Sunday's game against the Wizards, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren isn't listed on the injury report, so he'll presumably be available off the bench. He has started all 12 of his appearances this season and 60 of his 61 regular-season outings last season, so it's an unfamiliar role for the talented big man, who's averaging 8.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 25.1 minutes per game.
Nov 13, 2024
Efficient in victory
Duren accumulated eight points (4-5 FG, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and two blocks over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 123-121 overtime win over Miami.

Nov 12, 2024
Cleared to play Tuesday

Nov 11, 2024
Chance to suit up Tuesday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Heat.

Nov 10, 2024
Out Sunday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Duren has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a second straight game due to a left ankle sprain. Isaiah Stewart should draw another start at center in Duren's absence. Duren's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday versus Miami.
Nov 9, 2024
Doubtful for Sunday
Duren (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Duren is dealing with a left ankle sprain, and the doubtful tag suggests he's not likely to see action Sunday. That would mark his second straight absence since leaving the Wednesday loss to the Hornets after just eight minutes of action due to the injury. If Duren is ruled out, then Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Nov 8, 2024
Won't go Friday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Duren sustained a left ankle sprain during Wednesday's loss to the Hornets and was absent from Friday's shootaround before being ruled out. The recency of the injury could mean the big man misses additional time moving forward. If that ends up being the case, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time. Duren's next chance to feature will come Sunday against the Rockets.
Nov 8, 2024
Absent from shootaround
Duren (ankle), who is doubtful for Friday's game versus the Hawks, was absent for the Pistons' morning shootaround, Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren is not likely to suit up Friday due to a left ankle sprain, and his absence from shootaround does not bode well for his chance of playing. The big man sustained the injury during Wednesday's loss to the Hornets, and if he is unable to go Friday, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Nov 7, 2024
Unlikely to play against Atlanta
Duren (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Duren sprained his left ankle during Wednesday's contest against Charlotte and is expected to remain out Friday. If Duren is downgraded to out, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Nov 6, 2024
Will not return Wednesday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game versus Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Duren suffered an injury to his left ankle after landing on a teammates foot while skying for rebound. Duren exited in the first quarter and was deemed unable to return after being evaluated at halftime. His next opportunity to take the court comes Friday versus Atlanta, but the 2o-year-old has dealt with ankle injuries in the past, which makes his eventual return slightly more tenuous.
Nov 6, 2024
Sustains ankle injury

Nov 2, 2024

Oct 31, 2024
Fouls out in 11 minutes
Duren accumulated zero points (0-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 11 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 105-95 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Duren delivered a dud for fantasy managers, lasting just 11 minutes before fouling out. It's been a modest start to the season for Duren, coming up short of preseason expectations. However, he is locked in as the starting center and typically sees 30 minutes per game. Managers simply need to sweep this game under the rug and move on.
Oct 27, 2024
Perfect from field Saturday
Duren finished with 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Duren finished just one rebound shy of opening the new season with back-to-back double-doubles. One of the most promising young big men in The Association, Duren has excellent fantasy upside due to his solid two-way play and his established role as a go-to offensive option in a rebuilding Pistons team. Duren has a career-best season in 2023-24 with 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game across 61 regular-season contests, and it wouldn't be surprising if he improves on those numbers in 2024-25.
Oct 24, 2024
Posts double-double in opener
Duren finished with 13 points (4-4 FG, 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds and four assists across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 115-109 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren didn't have too many touches on offense, which is understandable following the addition of Tobias Harris to the starting lineup. Still, the big man made the most of his chances and didn't miss a single attempt from the field while also making his presence felt on the defensive end. Expect Duren to be a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor in 2024-25.
Oct 21, 2024
Team option picked up by Detroit
The Pistons exercised the fourth-year option on Duren's rookie contract Monday, Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
By exercising Duren's team option, the Pistons will keep the 2022 first-round pick under team control through the 2025-26 season. Duren was an every-night starter for Detroit last year, and across 61 regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign he averaged 13.8 points on 61.9 percent shooting, 11.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.8 blocks over 29.1 minutes per game. Duren's production took a big step forward in his second NBA campaign, as he averaged 13.8 points and 11.6 boards over 61 games in 2023-24, and Detroit's new-look frontcourt could give the 20-year-old even more freedom to crash the glass when it's at full strength.

Questionable against San Antonio
Duren (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Spurs.

Apr 12, 2024
Out against Dallas

ANALYSIS

Removed from injury report

Apr 2, 2024
On track for Wednesday
Duren (mouth) practiced Tuesday in advance of Wednesday's game against Atlanta, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Duren was forced to exit Monday's game against Memphis after losing a tooth, but he sought to return to action prior to the medical staff advising against it.
ANALYSIS
Duren's desire to return to Monday's contest bodes well for his likelihood to suit up Wednesday. The 20-year-old is averaging 14.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 29.0 minutes across his last three healthy appearances.
Apr 1, 2024
Out for remainder of Monday
Duren (tooth/mouth) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against Memphis, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was ultimately able to log just five minutes of action Monday prior to catching a Jaren Jackson euro-step to the face. Duren's inability to return to action leaves James Wiseman and Chimezie Metu to as the only healthy centers on the roster Monday.
Apr 1, 2024
Questionable to return Monday
Duren (teeth) is questionable to return Monday against the Grizzlies, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren had a tooth dislodged following a collision with Jaren Jackson, and it remains to be seen if he'll be able to return, as those problems tend to be extremely painful. If Duren is unable to return, then James Wiseman and Chimizie Metu would be in line to see extra minutes.
Apr 1, 2024
Exits in first quarter
Duren was hit in the face while defending a driving Jaren Jackson, quickly exiting the court area to the locker room in the first quarter of Monday's game against Memphis, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.

Duren accumulated 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds and four assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 106-91 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned to the starting lineup following a three-game absence, and the big man delivered another solid outing on both ends of the court, as has been the case throughout the season when he's been active. Duren has racked up 40 double-doubles across 55 games this season, a figure that ranks ninth in The Association this season.
Mar 28, 2024
Claims double-double in return
Duren (back) tallied 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds and four assists across 25 minutes Wednesday in the Pistons' 106-91 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Duren had missed the Pistons' previous three games with back spasms, but he reclaimed his spot in the starting five and came away with his 40th double-double of the season. He handled a near-even split of the playing time at center with James Wiseman, who logged 23 minutes in the loss. Head coach Monty Williams could opt to keep a rough timeshare between the two in place over the remaining weeks of the season in an effort to preserve Duren's minutes while also continuing to reward Wiseman for his improved play since the All-Star break.
Mar 27, 2024
Available to play
Duren (back) is available to play Wednesday against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Duren was previously considered probable after missing the past three games for Detroit, but he's all set for a return. Whether or not he has restrictions remains to be seen. James Wiseman's streaming appeal takes a big hit with this news.
Mar 26, 2024
Considered probable Wednesday
Duren (back) is probable for Wednesday's game against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Duren appears on track to return from three-game absence due to back spasms. If he's able to return, James Wiseman would likely revert to a 15-20 minute role off the bench, although the status of offensive engine Cade Cunningham (knee/rest) is important to monitor as well.
Mar 25, 2024
Remains out Monday
Duren (back) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss a third straight game due to low back spasms, so James Wiseman should draw another start at center. Duren's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Minnesota.
Mar 24, 2024
Ruled out Sunday
Duren (back) won't play Sunday against the Pelicans. Johnny Kane of Bally Sports Detroit reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Duren will miss a second straight game with back spasms, and he should be considered questionable (in a best-case scenario) to face the Knicks on Monday in the second half of a back-to-back set. James Wiseman should continue to start at center as long as Duren remains out.
Mar 23, 2024
Iffy against New Orleans
Duren (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Duren is in danger of missing his second straight contest Sunday due to back spasms. James Wiseman will likely continue to start if Duren is ruled out against New Orleans.
Mar 22, 2024
Late scratch vs. Celtics
Duren has been ruled out for Friday's game against Boston.
ANALYSIS
Duren was initially listed in Detroit's starting lineup, but the team announced only a few minutes before tipoff that the big man would be held out. James Wiseman draws the start at center in Duren's place.
Mar 18, 2024
Double-double against Miami
Duren registered 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes during Sunday's 104-101 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
It was the fourth straight double-double for the second-year center and his 38th of the season, tying him with Tyrese Haliburton for eighth in the league. Duren has failed to pull down double-digit boards only twice in 13 games since the All-Star break, averaging 14.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.9 blocks while shooting 63.3 percent from the floor.
Mar 16, 2024
Double-double vs. Miami
Duren notched 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 17 rebounds, one assist and one block across 34 minutes during Friday's 108-95 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Duren has registered a double-double in four straight games and ranks ninth in the NBA in that category. He's scored 15-plus points in three-straight games and has gone 23-for-28 from the field in that span. The 2022 first-round pick is averaging career highs in points and rebounds and has provided a solid presence in the middle for Detroit this season.
Mar 13, 2024
Records third 20-20 game of career
Duren ended Wednesday's 113-104 win over the Raptors with 24 points (8-9 FG, 8-10 FT), 23 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
It was the second time Duren registered at least 20 points, 20 rebounds and five assists in a game, joining Nikola Jokic and Domantas Sabonis as the only players with two of such stat line this season. Duren is now up to 36 double-doubles on the year and the second-year center ranks fifth in the NBA with 11.9 rebounds per game. He has established himself as a key piece in Detroit's future alongside 2021 No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham.
Mar 12, 2024
Dimed up by Cade
Duren closed with 20 points (8-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The entirety of Duren's offensive output came off putbacks and dunks, joining Cade Cunningham to form an upside-rich pick-and-roll duo for Detroit's future. Duren missed two dunks in the first half, which seemed to ignite the 20-year-old, who finished with awesome conviction throughout the rest of the contest. He doesn't have the most vertical pop, but Duren's combination of size and athleticism is still off-the-charts.
Mar 9, 2024
Ejected against Dallas
Duren was ejected from Saturday's game versus Dallas with 7:03 remaining in the fourth quarter with two technical fouls. He finished with six points (1-4 FG, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren got into an altercation with P.J. Washington and ended up in a shoving match. James Wiseman immediately checked into the game and has had one of his best showing of the campaign.
Mar 8, 2024
Double-double in Thursday's win
Duren registered 12 points (6-8 FG), 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Thursday's 118-112 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The second-year center is dominating the glass again, recording double-doubles in seven of the last eight games while averaging 13.4 points, 11.0 boards, 3.1 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 61.2 percent from the floor. Duren is up to 34 double-doubles on the season, good for 10th in the league despite the fact that he's missed 15 of the Pistons' 62 games.
Mar 5, 2024
Notches 33rd double-double Tuesday
Duren posted 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 118-110 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been one of the few bright spots for the Pistons this season, along with rising star Cade Cunningham. Duren has registered a double-double in six of his last seven appearances and has averaged 13.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game in that span.
Feb 28, 2024
Double-double streak continues
Duren amassed 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 105-95 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren has recorded a double-double in each of Detroit's four games following the All-Star break, and even though the Pistons will ultimately go as far as Cade Cunningham can carry them, the solid two-way play of Duren has also been one of the team's brightest spots this season. Duren is averaging 14.0 points and 12.7 rebounds per game across 11 February appearances while posting eight double-doubles in that stretch.
Feb 27, 2024
Another double-double Monday
Duren amassed 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-4 FT), 16 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Monday's 113-111 loss to New York.
ANALYSIS
Duren notched his 30th double of the season Monday, tying him with Jonas Valanciunas for the 11th most league-wide. Detroit was still out rebounded by New York as a team Monday, which signifies Duren's importance to the rotation as a potential cornerstone of the frontcourt.
Feb 25, 2024
Posts another double-double
Duren logged 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, four blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Saturday's 112-109 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Another game, another double-double for the big man, who continues to make an impact for the Pistons on both ends of the court. Aside from being extremely efficient with his touches near the rim, Duren was excellent defensively and came just one block shy of tying his season-high output in that category. Duren has five double-doubles over his last seven contests.
Feb 23, 2024
Registers double-double Thursday
Duren finished with 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Thursday's 129-115 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Duren notched his 28th double-double of the season as the young center continues to make strides in his second year in the league. He's averaging career highs with 14.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while playing 30.1 minutes per game. Duren should see more minutes over the next two games with Isaiah Stewart serving his suspension.
Feb 9, 2024
Career night in OT win
Duren racked up 27 points (9-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 22 rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 37 minutes during Thursday's 128-122 overtime victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
The 22 boards were a career high for Duren while the 27 points were a season high, as the second-year center put a shorthanded Pistons roster on his shoulders after a busy trade deadline. Duren has an impressive 26 double-doubles in 36 games this season, and he's scored in double digits in nine straight games, averaging 15.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists over that stretch while shooting 65.6 percent from the floor and 85.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Feb 8, 2024
Records double-double in rare win
Duren provided 20 points (7-10 FG, 6-6 FT), 15 rebounds and six assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 133-120 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Duren logged his 25th double-double of the season, improving his ranking in the category to a tie for 13th alongside Victor Wembanyama. Duren would probably have even more significant numbers on a better team, but the second-year Memphis product is a solid anchor for the youth movement in Detroit. He's averaged 14.1 points and 11.7 rebounds while shooting 65.1 percent over 35 games.
Feb 3, 2024
Double-double in Friday's loss
Duren amassed 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during Friday's 136-125 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
It was the 24th double-double of the season for Duren, putting him 13th in the NBA in that category. The 20-year-old center has taken a huge step forward in his second season, and over 19 games since returning from an ankle injury after Christmas he's averaging 14.8 points, 12.5 boards and 2.5 assists while shooting 64.9 percent from the floor and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line -- the latter mark a more than 16-point improvement from his 2022-23 performance.
Feb 1, 2024
Nears double-double
Duren provided 10 points (5-9 FG) and nine rebounds in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 128-121 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Duren didn't have his best shooting performance at least for his standards, as he's making 64 percent of his shots from the field this season, but he still posted a decent stat line, ending just one rebound away from a double-double. Duren was unable to repeat the massive stat line he delivered against the Thunder in his previous game, but the second-year big man is a double-double threat every time he steps on the court. He's notched 23 double-doubles in 2023-24.
Jan 29, 2024
Massive against OKC
Duren notched 22 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 FT), 21 rebounds, six assists and one block in 31 minutes during Sunday's 120-104 victory over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Duren has emerged as a nightly double-double threat this season, but this was one of his best performances of the campaign by a wide margin, as he looked dominant on both ends of the court despite having to deal with Chet Holmgren throughout the contest. This was Duren's 10th double-double across 14 games this month, a span in which he's averaging 15.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Jan 28, 2024
Grabs 18 rebounds in loss
Duren closed Saturday's 118-104 loss to the Wizards with 10 points (5-6 FG), 18 rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Marvin Bagley's departure has enhanced Duren's role as he continues to perform as Detroit's starting center. Despite Detroit's lost season, the squad has a great core to build around with Duren and Cade Cunningham, and the 20-year-old's 6-10, 250-pound frame is an imposing force for opponents to face. He's averaged 11.6 rebounds per game this season, but injuries have limited him to only 30 court appearances. If he had enough games to qualify, Duren would be ranked fifth in rebounding average ahead of players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid.
Jan 23, 2024
Top rebounder in double-double game
Duren logged 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block across 33 minutes during Monday's 122-113 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Duren led all Pistons in rebounds while ending as one of five players with a double-digit point total to end as the lone player with a double-double in a losing effort. Duren has posted a double-double in 21 games this season, including in 13 of his last 15 appearances.
Jan 18, 2024
Another double-double in loss
Duren registered 16 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 124-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Duren led all Pistons in rebounds to go along with a trio of assists and finishign as one of five players with a double-digit point total in a double-double performance. Duren posted his 20th double-double of the year, now having recorded a double-double in 13 of his last 15 outings.
Jan 16, 2024
Big double-double in win
Duren notched 20 points (8-8 FG, 4-5 FT), 19 rebounds, four assists and one block in 26 minutes during Monday's 129-117 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The second-year center tied his career high in boards as he continued an impressive run in the Detroit frontcourt. Over 11 games since returning from an ankle injury, Duren has racked up nine double-doubles while averaging 16.3 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 68.5 percent from the floor and an eye-popping 81.8 percent from the free-throw line -- a mark more than 20 points higher than his 61.1 percent shooting from the charity stripe as a rookie. Duren's rapid skill growth could end up making the 20-year-old one of the steals of the 2022 NBA Draft.
Jan 11, 2024
Another double-double Wednesday
Duren posted 21 points (10-16 FG, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 130-108 loss to San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
The second-year center continues to come up big, notching eight double-doubles in nine games since returning to the lineup right after Christmas from an ankle injury. Over that stretch, Duren is averaging 16.0 points, 12.1 boards and 2.6 assists while shooting 67.0 percent from the floor and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Jan 9, 2024
Notches double-double vs. Kings
Duren logged 16 points (8-14 FG), 10 rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 131-110 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Duren registered his 17th double-double of the season in Tuesday's loss, and he is two off of tying his mark in 2022-23. He's registered a double-double in 10 of his last 11 games and is averaging 15.2 points on 70.6 percent shooting, 11.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 31.4 minutes per game over that span.
Jan 8, 2024
Puts up 20 points in defeat
Duren chipped in 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 30 minutes during Sunday's 131-114 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Duren had the daunting task of dealing with Nikola Jokic on both ends of the field, so in a way, his final stat line was quite decent. Even though he saw his double-double streak snap at nine games, it's worth noting this 20-point outing was his second-best mark of the entire campaign. Duren should be in line for another tough matchup Tuesday against Domantas Sabonis and the Kings.
Jan 6, 2024
Records double-double in loss
Duren contributed 13 points (6-6 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 33 minutes during Friday's 113-109 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Duren has recorded six consecutive double-doubles since returning from an eight-game absence, and the Memphis product is a bright spot in an otherwise horrible outlooks for the Pistons. Duren and Cade Cunningham create an excellent core to build around, and both players are viable fantasy targets despite Detroit's fortunes. Formats that reward double-double performances should have Duren at the top of their wish list.
Jan 2, 2024
Posts another double-digit outing
Duren posted 12 points (6-7 FG), 13 rebounds and one assist over 22 minutes during Monday's 136-113 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Duren led all players in Monday's contest in rebounds while finishing as one of five Pistons with a double-digit point total and ending as the lone player with a double-double. Duren has been strong offensively and on the boards as of late, posting a double-double in seven straight contests and on 14 occasions this year.
Dec 31, 2023
Impressive double-double
Duren accumulated 18 points (6-11 FG, 6-6 FT), 17 rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Saturday's 129-127 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Duren was a rebounding machine but also responded on offense when needed, and the big man posted his sixth straight double-doubles. Injuries have slowed Duren down following an impressive start to the season, but he has been outstanding when available with averages of 13.0 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest. His numbers have been dramatically better than the ones of his rookie year.
Dec 29, 2023
Double-doubles across 40 minutes
Duren posted 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-6 FT), 14 rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes during Thursday's 128-122 overtime loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Duren has looked fantastic over the past two games since returning from an ankle injury, totaling 27 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. Detroit has been more competitive than usual over the pair of games, with Thursday's overtime loss against a team as strong as Boston representing a step in the right direction. Duren has appeared in only 16 games this season, but he's double-doubled in 12.
Dec 27, 2023
Double-doubles in return
Duren recorded 12 points (6-11 FG), 15 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 118-112 loss to Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned to action after missing 19 consecutive games due to an ankle injury. Despite the absence, he played a significant role right out of the gate, logging 33 minutes as a starter. While this was the 27th straight loss for the Pistons, the return of Duren was a real positive for fantasy managers. Clearly, he should be activated in all formats moving forward.
Dec 26, 2023
Starting in return
Duren (ankle) is cleared to play and in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Brooklyn, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren went through Detroit's full slate of morning shootaround and pregame warm-ups Tuesday, and he's officially cleared for action following a 19-game absence. Despite rejoining the starting lineup, Duren topping out at 20-25 minute workload isn't implausible given his lengthy absence. He is averaging 28.9 minutes per game across 14 appearances this season.
Dec 25, 2023
Expected to play Tuesday
Duren (ankle) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been sidelined since Dec. 6 and has appeared in just six of Detroit's last 19 games. While he's expected to play Tuesday, Duren will likely face strict restrictions after missing so much time.
Dec 23, 2023
Ruled out for Saturday
Duren (ankle) will not play in Saturday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been sidelined since Dec. 6, but he's getting closer to a return and is expected to be re-evaluated after Christmas. His next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against Brooklyn.
Dec 22, 2023
Considered doubtful for Saturday
Duren (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Duren hasn't played since Dec. 6, and the Pistons announced Dec. 10 that he'd be re-evaluated in two weeks. He resumed light on-court work this week and appears to be nearing a return, but Duren will likely remain out for at least one more game. Following Saturday's matchup in Brooklyn, Detroit will travel home for a rematch against the Nets on Tuesday. Duren can be considered questionable for that contest until the official injury report drops Monday.
Dec 20, 2023
Nearing ramp-up process
Coach Monty Williams said Wednesday that Duren (ankle) has resumed light court work and will begin a ramp-up process soon, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams said Monday that Duren hasn't yet resumed practicing, but the center appears to have progressed over the past few days. He'll presumably be sidelined for at least a few more games while he works on regaining his conditioning, but a return in late December or early January seems possible.
Dec 19, 2023
Still not practicing
Coach Monty Williams said Monday that Duren (ankle) still isn't practicing, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has struggled to stay healthy this season, missing five straight contests while appearing in just 14 of Detroit's first 26 games. The Pistons announced Dec. 10 that Duren would be re-evaluated in two weeks, so another substantial update should be coming soon, though he'll presumably have to log a couple of full practices before he's cleared to suit up again. With Isaiah Stewart (shoulder) also banged up recently, Marvin Bagley and James Wiseman have garnered increased roles in Detroit's frontcourt.
Dec 10, 2023
Out two-plus weeks
The Pistons announced Tuesday that Duren will be re-evaluated in two weeks after he suffered a left ankle sprain in Wednesday's 116-102 loss to the Grizzlies, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Shams Charania of The Athletic initially reported Thursday that Duren was expected to miss two weeks due to the ankle injury, but the Pistons relayed later that day that the two-week mark was merely the point in which the second-year center would be re-evaluated. As a result, fantasy managers who are holding Duren while he recovers from his injury should brace for the possibility that his absence stretches into the final week of December, if not January. While Duren was out for the Pistons' most recent game Friday versus Orlando, Marvin Bagley started at center but exited with a back injury and is now listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Pacers. The Pistons could turn to Isaiah Stewart and James Wiseman to fill most of the minutes at center versus Indiana.
Dec 7, 2023
Expected to miss two weeks
The Pistons indicated Thursday that Duren (ankle) is expected to miss approximately two weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren sprained his left ankle during Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, and the issue will cost him multiple weeks. The 20-year-old has dealt with injuries to both ankles early in the season, as he missed seven games in November due to ankle issues, including a stretch of five consecutive matchups in the middle of the month. It's a significant blow for the Pistons, who will presumably rely on James Wiseman, Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Stewart to fill in during Duren's absence.
Dec 7, 2023
Won't play against Orlando
Duren is listed as out for Friday's game versus the Magic due to a left ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss Friday's contest due to an ankle injury he suffered against Memphis. The second-year big man's absence will be a big blow to Detroit and likely result in increased minutes for Marvin Bagley and James Wiseman. Duren's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Indiana.
Dec 6, 2023
Suffers injury against Memphis
Duren recorded 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and one block in 30 minutes before suffering an apparent ankle injury in Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Pistons' coach Monty Williams, the severity of Duren's injury is uncertain. The Pistons should provide an update on the 20-year-old center's availability ahead of Friday's matchup with Orlando. If Duren is forced to miss any time, James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley would likely receive increased minutes.
Dec 1, 2023
Delivers double-double
Duren posted 10 points (5-7 FG), 12 rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes during Thursday's 118-112 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Duren was efficient from the field and made his presence felt on both ends of the court Thursday en route to his third double-double over his last four appearances. Duren has slowed down a bit following an impressive start to the campaign, but he remains a must-roster player across all formats due to his two-way play and sky-high potential.
Nov 28, 2023
Posts big effort in loss
Duren chipped in 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, five blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Monday's 126-107 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned from a five-game absence Friday versus Indiana and came off the bench, but he was back in the starting lineup Monday. The big man showed that he belongs in that role with a block party against the Wizards, swatting a season-high five shots. Duren also pulled down double-digit boards for seventh time in his 10 contests on the campaign, and he's notched a double-double in each of those performances.
Nov 27, 2023
Returns to starting lineup
Duren will start Monday's matchup versus Washington, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned to action Friday following a five-game absence due to an ankle injury and posted 13 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes off the bench. The second-year big man has reclaimed his spot in the starting lineup Monday, but he's unlikely to play more than 30 minutes, as he averaged just 28.8 minutes per game before missing time.
Nov 25, 2023
Grabs 13 boards in return
Duren (ankle) registered 13 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 29 minutes in Friday's 136-113 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Though Detroit opted to ease Duren back from a five-game absence as a bench player, he saw a fairly standard amount of playing time and came through with an efficient double-double backed up by some contributions in the defensive categories an the second-best assist total on the team. Duren will most likely reclaim his spot in the starting five from Marvin Bagley in the Pistons' next game Monday against the Wizards. Assuming he's omitted from the injury report, Duren looks like a worthy lineup option in just about every format during the Pistons' upcoming four-game week.
Nov 24, 2023
Coming off bench
Duren (ankle) will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Pacers, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons will watch Duren's minutes according to coach Monty Williams, but no specifics were given. It's understandable why the Pistons will be cautious, as Duren has missed the past five games and his ankle has flared up a couple times this season.
Nov 23, 2023
Available for Friday
Duren (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren isn't even showing up on the injury report which is a great sign. He missed the past five games for Detroit, but he practiced in full on Wednesday without any setbacks. Presumably, Duren will be back in the starting lineup and will look to build some momentum again after a strong start to the campaign.
Nov 22, 2023
Practices Wednesday
Duren (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Duren, who's missed five straight games due to right ankle soreness, was able to log a full practice ahead of Friday's matchup in Indiana. However, his official status for that contest won't be released until Thursday afternoon. If available, Duren would presumably slide right back into the starting center spot, but he may face restrictions at first.
Nov 21, 2023
Expected to practice this week
The Pistons announced Tuesday that Duren (ankle) is expected to practice this week, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has missed five straight contests due to right ankle soreness, but he's nearing a return to game action. The second-year center has recently been participating in 3-on-3 drills and should be a full participant in practice soon. The Pistons have just one more game this week, Friday in Indiana, but Duren's status for that game has yet to be determined.
Nov 20, 2023
Won't play Monday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Nuggets, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss a fifth consecutive game Monday, but coach Monty Williams provided an encouraging update ahead of the matchup, saying that the center has progressed to 3-on-3 work and is expected to return soon. While Duren will have a few days to recover before the Pistons face Indiana on Friday, it's unclear whether he'll be available for that matchup.
Nov 20, 2023
Questionable for Monday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Duren has missed the past four games for Detroit, but the questionable tag suggests that he's now day-to-day. His potential return would provide a huge boost for the Pistons with Nikola Jokic on the schedule Monday. The Pistons have been relying on Kevin Knox in smaller lineups in Duren's absence at the expense of Marvin Bagley, so it will be interesting to see how the rotation shapes up.
Nov 18, 2023
Out once again Sunday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Duren is in line to miss a fourth straight game, meaning James Wiseman and Isaiah Stewart could see increased run, as well as Marvin Bagley. Duren is enjoying an excellent start to the season and his absence has been greatly felt as a two-way threat. Duren is averaging 12.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
Nov 16, 2023
Remains sidelined Friday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Duren sustained a right ankle injury last week and will be forced to miss a third consecutive game. Marvin Bagley is questionable due to an illness, so James Wiseman and Isaiah Stewart could see increased run Friday.
Nov 13, 2023
Still out Tuesday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Duren sustained a right ankle injury during Friday's game against the 76ers and will be unavailable for a second consecutive matchup. James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley should continue to see an uptick in playing time Tuesday.
Nov 11, 2023
Out for Sunday
Duren (ankle) will not play Sunday against Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Duren's long-term ankle health is the priority, so his absence Sunday after re-aggravating his ankle injury Friday is unsurprising. Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Stewart will see enlarged roles.
Nov 10, 2023
Won't return due to ankle
Duren won't be able to return to Friday's game against the 76ers due to a right ankle injury. He finished with four points (2-5 FG), four rebounds, three assists and one block in 23 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren's ankle has flared up several times this season, so this is really unfortunate. He should be considered questionable for Monday's game against the Bulls. If he's forced to miss time, Marvin Bagley will likely pick up the bulk of Duren's minutes.
Nov 9, 2023
Posts double-double in return
Duren totaled 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds and five assists over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 120-118 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned Wednesday after dealing with ankle injury, finishing second on the team in rebounds and as one of five Pistons with a double-digit point total in a double-double effort. Duren has been a key contributor in the paint for Detroit, posting a double-double in five of his seven outings this season.
Nov 8, 2023
Off injury report
Duren (ankle) will play Wednesday against Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Duren will participate in Wednesday's tilt after battling ankle soreness prior to the contest. He should be expected to return to the starting lineup in place of Marvin Bagley. Through six games, Duren has averaged 14.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2,8 assists and 2.1 steals/blocks across 29.8 minutes.
Nov 8, 2023
Expected to play
Coach Monty Williams expects Duren (ankle) to play Wednesday versus the Bucks, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was a late scratch Monday but should return to action Wednesday. The second-year center has been superb to start the campaign, posting four double-doubles across six appearances while averaging 14.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
Nov 7, 2023
Listed as questionable
Duren (ankle) is officially questionable for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Duren was a game-time scratch on Monday, but it appears his ankle injury is minor. Marvin Bagley's usage would decline if Duren is able to return.
Nov 6, 2023
Officially out
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Duren was a late addition to the injury report, and the severity of his injury remains unclear. He missed a game last week due to an ankle issue, so this may just be a precautionary measure by Detroit. In his absence, Marvin Bagley will draw another start, while James Wiseman could see some minutes off the bench versus his old squad.
Nov 6, 2023
Late addition to injury report
Duren is questionable for Monday's matchup against the Warriors due to bilateral ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Duren was added to the injury report moments before starting lineups were expected to be announced, but the severity of the issue remains unclear. He dealt with an ankle injury last week and missed a game, so this could simply be a precautionary measure for Detroit. If Duren is sidelined again, Marvin Bagley would presumably draw another start.
Nov 5, 2023
Ejected Sunday
Duren was ejected from Sunday's loss to the Suns after being assessed two flagrant fouls, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren posted a double-double before his premature departure, logging 12 points (6-10 FG), 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes. It seems unlikely that his ejection will result in further discipline, so he should be available for Monday's game against Golden State.
Nov 2, 2023
Upgraded to available
Duren (ankle) will be available to face the Magic on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Duren was considered a game-time call for Thursday but will end up being available, and he should provide a gigantic boost on both ends of the court for Detroit. He's averaging 15.5 points and 13.3 rebounds per game through four appearances, and he has posted a double-double in each of the outings in which he's played at least 30 minutes.
Nov 2, 2023
Questionable Thursday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Duren was also questionable for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers before being ruled out, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up in the second half of the back-to-back set. Marvin Bagley will likely start at center once again if Duren is unavailable.
Nov 1, 2023
Ruled out
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Duren was initially listed as questionable and didn't participate in the team's morning shootaround, so this isn't a major surprise. However, it is a huge blow, as the second-year center was off to a fast start this season. In Duren's absence, Marvin Bagley will likely start at canter, while James Wiseman could also see his first action of the campaign.
Nov 1, 2023
Doesn't participate in shootaround
Duren, who's questionable for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers due to an ankle injury, didn't participate in the team's morning shootaround, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was spotted doing cardio on a cycling machine, but he wasn't participating in basketball activities. There's still a chance he suits up, but he's not trending in the right direction. If Duren is sidelined, the Pistons will likely start Marvin Bagley, who was wearing a first-unit practice jersey during the shootaround.
Oct 31, 2023
Questionable for Wednesday
Duren is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Duran was added to the injury report Wednesday afternoon with a left ankle sprain. Detroit has a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday against Portland and New Orleans, so the 19-year-old missing one of those contests is a distinct possibility.
Oct 29, 2023
Monster performance Saturday
Duren ended Saturday's 118-102 victory over Chicago with 23 points (9-11 FG, 5-5 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 19-year-old center looks poised to turn a corner this season, and while the season is just three games old, there's no question Duren is showing encouraging signs early on. Duren has three double-doubles in his first three games, grabbing at least 14 rebounds in every game, and he also has multiple blocks in each of those contests. He's averaging 18.0 points, 15.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 80 percent from the field. Those numbers are not sustainable over a long-term scenario, but the improvements are real.
Oct 28, 2023
Dominates in win
Duren chipped in 14 points (7-8 FG), 17 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 111-99 victory over the Hornets. He also had five turnovers.
ANALYSIS
Duren fueled a 53:41 team rebounding edge for the Pistons, helping limit Charlotte's center duo of Mark Williams and Nick Richards to five total rebounds. The 19-year-old was also extremely efficient, capitalizing at a high-level around the basket. He's on the rise.
Oct 26, 2023
Strong start to sophomore season
Duren chipped in 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-3 FT), 14 rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 103-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Matched up against Bam Adebayo, Duren more than held his own at both ends of the court. The 19-year-old averaged nearly a double-double as a rookie, and while he still doesn't offer much in the way of offensive skills, his numbers should rise in 2023-24 both due to his own physical maturation, and the return of Cade Cunningham to the lineup to give every Piston a boost.
Oct 19, 2023
Starting against OKC
Duren (ankle) is in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason contest against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Duren missed the previous preseason contest due to a mild ankle sprain, but he's recovered and is ready to get back into action. He is expected to operate as Detroit's starting center as long as he remains healthy once the regular season begins.
Oct 12, 2023
Not suiting up Thursday
Duren (ankle) won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Thunder, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss Thursday's contest due to a mild ankle sprain he suffered in the team's preseason opener. However, the team is just being cautious, and Duren's next chance to suit up is next Thursday's preseason rematch with Oklahoma City.
Oct 10, 2023
Has a mild sprain
Duren is dealing with a mild ankle sprain and was not able to practice Tuesday, James Edward of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Monty Williams did not sound concerned, but there's no word as to whether or not Duren will play in Thursday's preseason contest against the Thunder. We should have a better indication on Wednesday.
Oct 8, 2023
Picks up ankle injury
Duren won't return to Sunday's preseason game against the Suns due to a right ankle injury, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren started the contest and had six points (2-4 FG, 2-6 FT), one rebound and one assist in 15 minutes prior to his exit. It's unclear if the 19-year-old will be available for Thursday's exhibition contest in Oklahoma City.
Oct 2, 2023
Team option for 2024-25 exercised
The Pistons picked up the 2024-25 team option on Duren's rookie current Monday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was solid as a rookie, starting 31 of 67 appearances while averaging 9.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals-plus-blocks per game. Despite a logjam in the frontcourt, the 2022 No. 13 overall pick is expected to claim a starting role out of the gate in 2023-24. Duren, Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey are considered the core of the Pistons' rebuild.
Jul 9, 2023
Notches double-double in loss
Duren poured in 23 points (10-14 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block over 28 minutes during Sunday's 113-101 Summer League loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Duren led the team in scoring and tied for a team-high in rebounds in the Pistons' second Summer League game. The Memphis product was dominant in the low post, and showed flashes of improvement in the pick-and-roll, catching passes in the lane and finishing. In his rookie season, Duren averaged 9.1 points and 8.9 rebounds in 67 appearances.
Apr 9, 2023
Grabs game-high 18 boards
Duren logged four points (2-5 FG), 18 rebounds and one block across 35 minutes during Sunday's 103-81 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren scored in single digits for the seventh time over his past eight appearances, but he salvaged his night by tying his second-highest rebounding total of the season. The rookie first-round pick was solid in 2022-23 and figures to have a bright future as a board collector, but he's certainly not guaranteed a starting spot next year.
Apr 6, 2023
Goes 9-for-11 from field in loss
Duren finished Wednesday's 123-108 loss to the Nets with 18 points (9-11 FG), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Due in large part to the Pistons' lack of available frontcourt bodies, Duren started alongside James Wiseman for the second game in a row, even though both are natural centers who don't provide the Detroit offense with much spacing. The arrangement has thus far been more detrimental to Wiseman than it has to Duren, who is averaging 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds over the past two contests compared to Wiseman's marks of 15.0 and 4.5, respectively. Detroit could realistically get back at least one of Marvin Bagley (concussion), Isaiah Livers (ankle) or Eugene Omoruyi (ankle) back for the team's final two games to soak up minutes at power forward, but Duren should still have a path to 25-plus minutes in both contests so long as he avoids foul trouble.
Apr 4, 2023
Notches double-double as starter
Duren recorded 20 points (7-8 FG, 6-7 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 118-105 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Duren replaced Marvin Bagley (concussion) in the starting lineup Tuesday, posting a double-double while leading the team in rebounds and finishing second in scoring during the loss. Duren has tallied a double-double in 18 games this season, including in three of his last five appearances.
Apr 4, 2023
Gets starting nod
Duren is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus Miami, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren will replace Marvin Bagley (concussion) in the starting five Tuesday. Duren is averaging 10.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his previous 27 starts this season, giving him solid fantasy value in Bagley's absence.
Apr 3, 2023
Limited again Sunday
Duren closed with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes during Sunday's 128-102 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons continue to limit Duren, a decision that certainly raises more than a few questions when it comes to their level of common sense. Despite clearly being the center of the future, the coaching staff are remaining stubborn when it comes to letting him loose. At this point, Duren should be viewed as a viable 12-team asset, albeit one with limited upside thanks to some inept decision making.
Mar 28, 2023
Double-double off bench
Duren supplied 18 points (8-11 FG, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 28 minutes off the bench during Monday's 126-117 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
It's the rookie's fourth double-double in his last seven games and his 16th of the season. Duren's minutes and fantasy value down the stretch will be capped as he continues to work behind James Wiseman at center, but he's still capable of doing some damage on the glass.
Mar 24, 2023
Modest production Friday
Duren chipped in nine points (3-4 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Friday's 118-97 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Duren returned after missing the previous game due to a neck concern, logging 25 minutes off the bench. The team continues to play both Duren and James Wiseman at the center position, despite the fact Duren is clearly the better option. With that said, they basically know what they have in Duren, whereas Wiseman remains somewhat of a mystery. Even in 25 minutes per night, Duren typically does enough to be rostered in standard leagues.
Mar 23, 2023
Available Friday
Duren (neck) is available for Friday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The rookie will return following a one-game absence after exiting Sunday's loss to the Heat early. In his five prior appearances leading up to Sunday, Duren averaged 12.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 blocks in 22.0 minutes.
Mar 20, 2023
Won't play Tuesday
Duren (head) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Duren left Sunday's loss to Miami due to a head injury and will miss at least one additional contest. In his absence, Eugene Omoruyi is a candidate for increased minutes behind James Wiseman. Duren's next chance to suit up will come Friday in Toronto.
Mar 19, 2023
Won't return Sunday
Duren won't return to Sunday's game against the Heat due to a head injury, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren played nine minutes off the bench Sunday and tallied two points (1-1 FG), one rebound and one block prior to heading to the locker room in the third quarter. It's unclear whether he'll be available for Tuesday's matchup against Atlanta.
Mar 17, 2023
Posts double-double off bench
Duren supplied 15 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists and three steals over 27 minutes during Thursday's 119-100 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Duren came off the bench for a fifth consecutive game Thursday, but he posted his third double-double in his last four outings by leading the Pistons in rebounds while posting the second-highest scoring total on the team. Over his five appearances since returning from a six-game absence, he's averaged 12.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 22.0 minutes per game.
Mar 14, 2023
Double-double off bench Monday
Duren had 12 points (6-11 FG), 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes off the bench during Monday's 117-97 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Both Duren and James Wiseman delivered double-doubles Monday, so the Pistons' timeshare at center appears to be working for coach Dwane Casey. Duren has 14 double-doubles in 55 games on the season, and since returning from an ankle injury he appears comfortable coming off the bench, averaging 12.0 points, 10.3 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.7 blocks over the last three games in 21.7 minutes a night.
Mar 12, 2023
Per-minute darling
Duren racked up 16 points (4-8 FG, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 20 minutes during Saturday's 121-115 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Duren stuffed the box score despite logging just 20 minutes. The rookie's 10 free-throw attempts marked a season high, and his accuracy was excellent. He's shooting just 62.6 percent from the line this season, but performances like Saturday symbolize the upside Duren flashes on a nightly basis.
Mar 10, 2023
Approaches double-double in return
Duren (ankle) finished Thursday's 113-103 loss to the Hornets with eight points (4-8 FG), nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 21 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Suiting up for the first time since Feb. 23 after missing the Pistons' previous six games with bilateral ankle soreness, Duren came off the bench and was on the short end of a playing-time split at center with starter James Wiseman (27 minutes). With Marvin Bagley seemingly set to see most of his opportunities at power forward in the absence of Isaiah Stewart (shoulder), a Duren/Wiseman timeshare at center could be in place for the foreseeable future. The arrangement limits the upside of both centers, though the stat line Duren provided Thursday is enough to give him low-end value in 12-team category leagues.
Mar 9, 2023
Coming off bench in return
Duren (ankle) will come off the bench during Thursday's matchup against the Hornets, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Thursday will mark just Duren's second time coming off the bench since Dec. 9, as it appears the coaching staff may have handed the starting job to James Wiseman. It's possible coach Dwane Casey experiments with some Wiseman/Duren frontcourt pairings, but both players are interior-focused centers, so it could get clunky.
Mar 9, 2023
Available Thursday
Duren (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Duren will return following a six-game absence due to soreness in both ankles. It remains to be seen if he will start, as reports indicated that the Pistons traded for James Wiseman with the intent to start him, and both players are centers.
Mar 8, 2023
Likely to return Thursday
Duren (ankle) is probable for Thursday's matchup against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has missed the past six games due to soreness in both ankles, but he should return Thursday. The move will presumably push James Wiseman back to the bench, but didn't be surprised if coach Dwane Casey starts experimenting down the stretch, especially with Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles) possibly being shut down for the rest of the season.
Mar 7, 2023
Still out Tuesday
Duren (ankle) is unavailable for Tuesday's tilt against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Sore ankles will keep the rookie shelved for a sixth straight contest. A bloated injury report for the Pistons should continue to lead to more minutes for other frontcourt options like James Wiseman, Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Livers.
Mar 5, 2023
Out again Monday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Duren continues to deal with bilateral ankle soreness and will be unavailable for a fifth consecutive game. He practiced Friday, but it's unclear when he'll be able to return to game action. Isaiah Stewart (hip) will also remain out, so James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley should see plenty of run in the frontcourt.
Mar 3, 2023
Missing fourth straight
Duren (ankle) is out for Saturday's game versus the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Bilateral ankle soreness will keep the rookie shelved for a fourth straight game. With Isaiah Stewart (hip) out as well, James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley should continue handling plenty of extra frontcourt minutes.
Mar 3, 2023
Practices Friday
Duren (ankle) participated in Friday's practice session, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has missed the last three games due to bilateral ankle soreness, but his return to practice is encouraging. It's unclear whether he'll be available Saturday against Cleveland, but he seems to be trending in the right direction.
Feb 28, 2023
Out Wednesday
Duren (ankle) is out Wednesday against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss a third straight game while dealing with sore ankles. In his absence, James Wiseman should continue seeing an expanded role.
Feb 28, 2023
Doesn't practice Tuesday
Duren (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Given Duren's absence from practice, there's a strong chance he won't play Wednesday against the Bulls. That could again lead to a bigger role for James Wiseman.
Feb 26, 2023
Ruled out Monday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Duren continues to deal with bilateral ankle soreness and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. Isaiah Stewart (hip) is questionable, so the Pistons could be especially shorthanded in the frontcourt. James Wiseman and Marvin Bailey should see increased run in Duren's absence.
Feb 24, 2023
Won't play Saturday
Duren has been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Raptors due to bilateral ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Duren tweaked his ankle before the All-Star break, but the issue hasn't caused him to miss time until now. In his absence, James Wiseman figures to get his first start as a Piston, while Isaiah Livers and Marvin Bagley (hand) could see sizable roles off the bench. Duren's next chance to suit up will come Monday in Charlotte.
Feb 22, 2023
Set to play Thursday
Duren (ankle) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game versus Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Duren tweaked his ankle against the Raptors and didn't play in the Rising Stars Challenge but is available Thursday. The rookie big man is averaging 11.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 blocks in 28.4 minutes across his last five appearances.
Feb 16, 2023
Skipping Rising Stars due to injury
Duren will not partake in the Rising Stars Challenge due to an ankle injury, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren tweaked his ankle in Sunday's game versus the Raptors but played Tuesday and doesn't seem to face any long-term concerns. Still, the rookie will sit out the All-Star festivities to rest up, and he will instead focus on being ready for the start of the second half.
Feb 12, 2023
Back to start second half
Duren (ankle) started the second half of Sunday's game against the Raptors, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren suffered a right ankle sprain after landing on the foot of the Raptors' Precious Achiuwa during the second quarter and was deemed questionable to return. However, it appears Duren received some treatment at halftime and will be good to go for the second half. He finished the first half with just one point and two rebounds in 11 minutes before leaving the contest.
Feb 12, 2023
Tweaks ankle Sunday
Duren suffered a right ankle injury midway through the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Raptors and is questionable to return for the second half.
ANALYSIS
Per Mike Curtis of The Detroit News, Duren appeared to suffer the injury in question when he backpedaled into the foot of the Raptors' Precious Achiuwa and landed awkwardly. If Duren is unable to finish the game, the Pistons would likely have to turn to power forward Isaiah Stewart to cover most of the minutes at center the rest of the way, given that Nerlens Noel (personal) and Marvin Bagley (hand) are out and trade-deadline pickup James Wiseman isn't yet available to make his Detroit debut. Duren tallied one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes before exiting the contest.

Dominates in double-OT victory
Duren racked up 30 points (13-20 FG, 4-9 FT), 17 rebounds, three assists, four blocks and one steal over 42 minutes during Friday's 138-131 double-overtime win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Duren had easily the best game of his young career Friday, becoming just the fourth teenager in history to record a 30-and-15 game. He added a combined five steals and blocks, taking advantage of the fact he was up against inferior opposition. With James Wiseman slated to come into the rotation, assuming the proposed trade is approved, Duren's role moving forward remains a little clouded. With that said, common sense should prevail, meaning he sees at least 28 minutes on most nights, making him a clear must-roster player.
Feb 7, 2023
Big rebounding night Monday
Duren amassed seven points (3-4 FG, 1-1 FT) and 14 rebounds in 28 minutes during Monday's 111-99 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The teenage rookie has been predictably inconsistent as a fantasy asset, but Duren's upside has also been tantalizing. He's recorded double-digit boards in six of 11 games since the beginning of January, averaging 11.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks over that stretch while shooting 73.9 percent from the floor and an encouraging 75.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Jan 27, 2023
Highly efficient in win
Duren ended Thursday's 130-122 win over the Nets with 17 points (7-8 FG, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren only missed one shot in the contest and that came with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter. The center went 3-of-3 from the field for eight points in the first half, adding four rebounds and an assist before going 4-of-5 over the final two quarters to finish third on the team with 17 points. Duren has now scored in double figures in five straight, though his seven rebounds on the night were the fewest he's recorded in six games this month.
Jan 24, 2023
Huge double-double against Bucks
Duren finished with 23 points (9-13 FG, 5-5 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Monday's 150-130 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
It was the 10th double-double of the season for the rookie, as Duren continues to exceed expectations after being viewed as a somewhat raw development project after being selected 13th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. Over his last 18 games, the 19-year-old is averaging 10.4 points, 11.6 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 blocks in 28.2 minutes a night while shooting 69.0 percent from the floor.
Jan 19, 2023
Records ninth double-double
Duren amassed 11 points (4-4 FG, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 18 minutes during Thursday's 126-108 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren came off the bench and played just over seven minutes in the first half, scoring six points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field to go along with three rebounds and an assist. He added another five points and nine boards in the second half to notch his ninth double-double of the season, despite seeing just 18 minutes of action in the contest. It was also Duren's first game with at least two blocks since Dec. 14 against the Hornets.
Jan 19, 2023
Coming off bench Thursday
Duren isn't starting Thursday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren will be able to return from a five-game absence due to an ankle injury in Paris on Thursday. However, even though he started in his 15 appearances prior to his absence, he'll come off the bench against the Bulls while Bojan Bogdanovic and Isaiah Stewart start in the frontcourt.
Jan 19, 2023
Available against Bulls
Duren (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren was considered questionable for Thursday's matchup, but he'll be able to play through his ankle issue during the Pistons' game in Paris. He's missed the last five games, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him face a minutes restriction against Chicago.
Jan 18, 2023
Questionable Thursday
Duren (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Duren didn't make the initial trip to Paris with the Pistons on Monday after misplacing his passport, but he arrived in France on Wednesday. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return from a five-game absence due to right ankle soreness. Even if he's cleared to play against the Bulls, it wouldn't be surprising to see him face a minutes restriction.
Jan 18, 2023
Arrives in Paris
Duren (ankle) secured a passport and arrived in Paris on Wednesday ahead of the Pistons' game Thursday against the Bulls, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons traveling party made the trip to France on Monday, but Duren was left behind after he misplaced his passport. Though he's since resolved the matter, Duren wasn't able to participate in Tuesday's practice, leaving his availability for Thursday's contest uncertain. Duren had already missed the Pistons' last five games with a sore right ankle, but even if he's made a full recovery from that injury, it's possible he's available for only limited minutes Thursday if Detroit gives him the green light to play.
Jan 17, 2023
Uncertain to make trip to France
Duren (ankle) didn't travel with the Pistons to France on Monday ahead of their upcoming game Thursday against the Bulls in Paris, but the center is hoping to arrive in time for the contest, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
A sore right ankle had kept Duren from playing in each of the Pistons' last five games, but according to Edwards, a misplaced passport is the reason behind why he didn't travel with the team to France. The team is working toward getting Duren a new passport so he can join the team by Thursday, but since he'll miss out on an opportunity to practice Tuesday, he's looking unlikely to be available even if he arrives in time for Thursday's game. If that's the case, Isaiah Stewart could be in line for another start at center, allowing players like Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Livers and Kevin Knox to see more time at forward.
Jan 14, 2023
Still out Sunday
Duren (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss his fifth straight game Sunday with right ankle soreness. Nerlens Noel has started at center in his absence. Duren's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Chicago.
Jan 12, 2023
Remains sidelined Friday
Duren (ankle) is out for Friday's game versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Duren's absence streak will extend to four games due to a sore right ankle. The rookie big man's next chance to play is Sunday's matchup with the Knicks.
Jan 11, 2023
Out again Wednesday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss a third straight game due to right ankle soreness. Isaiah Stewart (shoulder) is out again as well, so Isaiah Livers and Nerlens Noel are candidates for increased roles against Rudy Gobert and Minnesota's frontcourt.
Jan 9, 2023
Remains out Tuesday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Duren will be unavailable for a second consecutive game due to right ankle soreness, and his status for Wednesday's matchup against Minnesota remains to be seen. Isaiah Stewart and Nerlens Noel are candidates to see increased workloads against Philadelphia.
Jan 8, 2023
Sitting out Sunday
Duren (ankle) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Considered a game-time call leading up to the 3 p.m. ET tipoff, Duren's sore right ankle will ultimately keep him out of action for the first time since Nov. 4. Isaiah Stewart is likely to shift over from power forward to serve as the Pistons' starting center in Duren's stead, while Saddiq Bey, Kevin Knox and Nerlens Noel could all be candidates to absorb some of Duren's vacated minutes.
Jan 8, 2023
Termed as game-time call
Pistons head coach Dwane Casey said that Duren (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt with the 76ers, is a game-time decision, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
A decision on Duren's status one way or the other should arrive shortly before the 3 p.m. ET opening tip. Duren, who is managing a sore right ankle, has yet to miss any of the Pistons' last 32 games. If Duren ends up sitting out Sunday, Isaiah Stewart could slide over from power forward to center, while players like Kevin Knox, Saddiq Bey and Nerlens Noel could pick up more minutes in the Detroit frontcourt.
Jan 7, 2023
Iffy against Philadelphia
Duren is questionable for Sunday's game versus the 76ers due to right ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Duren is questionable to miss his first game since Nov. 4 due to an ankle injury. Nerlens Noel will likely start in his place if the rookie big man is unable to suit up.
Jan 5, 2023
Double double in Wednseday's win
Duren scored 18 points (8-8 FG, 2-3 Ft) to go along with 11 rebounds across 32 minutes of play.
ANALYSIS
The rookie big man continues to improve, recording his fifth double-double in 11 games since moving to the starting lineup. Duren is averaging 9.5 PPG and 10.1 rebounds per game over his last ten contests. Look for the rookie to continue to improve as his offensive game develops
Dec 29, 2022
Big night on glass
Duren registered seven points (3-5 FG, 1-2 FT), 18 rebounds, four assists and one block across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 121-101 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The rookie continues to dominate the glass since moving into the starting lineup earlier this month. Over the last 10 games, Duren is averaging 10.0 points and 12.9 boards a night while shooting 65.6 percent from the floor and a surprising 72.7 percent from the free-throw line, albeit on limited volume. The 19-year-old is developing more quickly than many anticipated after being the 13th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Dec 27, 2022
Posts team-high 12 boards
Duren notched 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes during Monday's 142-131 overtime loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Duren went a perfect 4-of-4 from the field for eight points in the first quarter while also collecting four rebounds as Detroit jumped out an early lead. He added another seven points on 3-of-4 shooting in the second half, along with eight boards, four of which came on the offensive end. The Pistons center finished with a team-high 12 rebounds on the night to log his seventh double-double of the season and he's now reached the 15-point mark in three of his last six games.
Dec 16, 2022
Double-double in loss
Duren provided 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-6 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Friday's 122-113 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Duren's time on the floor has been increasing lately. Friday night marked five straight games he's played at least 24 minutes and produced double-digit boards. In those five games, the rookie center is averaging 9.4 points and 14.2 rebounds in 29 minutes per contest.
Dec 14, 2022
Secures season-high 19 boards
Duren finished with seven points (2-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 19 rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 141-134 overtime victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Duren struggled to find his shooting touch, but he crashed the glass for a season-high 19 rebounds and also swatted away three shots. This marks his first blocked shots since Dec. 4 against Memphis. Duren is now averaging 6.6 points and 7.7 rebounds in 27 games this year.
Dec 10, 2022
Double-doubles in starting role
Duren logged 10 points (5-7 FG) and 12 rebounds over 28 minutes during Friday's 114-103 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Duren made the first start of his career, ending with a respectable fantasy line. Although the defense wasn't there, he showed enough to make managers sit up and take notice. It is unclear if this is going to be a permanent move by the coaching staff, but as for now, he should probably be added in just about every league.
Dec 9, 2022
Starting Friday
Duren will join the starting unit for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Duren will receive his first career start Friday as the Pistons debut their ultra-large frontcourt of he and Isaiah Stewart. He receives the starting nod over Marvin Bagley who has struggled to get anything going in the month of December. In 24 appearances this season, Duren has averaged 6.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 21.7 minutes per game and should be worth a look in all formats.
Dec 7, 2022
Notches double-double off bench
Duren accumulated 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and one steal across 27 minutes during Wednesday's 104-98 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Duren put together one of his more impressive performances of the 2022-23 campaign, knocking down all five of his attempts from the field while securing a season-high 13 rebounds. The backup center had been held to just four total points over his last two games heading into Wednesday's matchup, but he's scored in double figures in three of his last five appearances.
Nov 29, 2022
Bounces back in loss
Duren finished Tuesday's game against the Knicks with 12 points (6-7 FG), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren had been held to four or fewer points in each of his previous four contests heading into Tuesday's clash, but he was able to get back on track by knocking down all but one of his attempts from the field. This marks Duren's fifth time scoring in double figures this season (20 games), so it's unrealistic for fantasy managers to expect this type of scoring from the 19-year-old on a regular basis, at least at this point in his young career.
Nov 26, 2022
Poor showing in loss
Duren supplied four points (0-1 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 14 minutes during Friday's 108-102 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Duren played a season-low 14 minutes in the loss, a poor return for anyone who continues to show faith in the budding young shot-blocker. Fouls were an issue here and unfortunately, he simply couldn't find any rhythm. Prior to this, he had played at least 25 minutes in three straight games, an indication that he is starting to gain the trust of the coaching staff. Despite this poor performance, he remains a viable asset for anyone who is positioned to be able to show some patience moving forward.
Nov 19, 2022
Shoots well from field, line in loss
Duren finished with 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one steal and one block across 22 minutes in Friday's 128-121 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The Pistons were playing their second straight game without Isaiah Stewart (toe), but the fact that starting center Marvin Bagley picked up two quick fouls might have more to do with Duren clearing the 20-minute mark once again. Pistons head coach Dwane Casey seemingly isn't keen on the idea of having Bagley and Duren share the court frequently due to the spacing issues it creates on the offensive end, so the two big men could end up being deployed in more of a timeshare at center while the likes of Saddiq Bey (ankle), Bojan Bogdanovic and Isaiah Livers fill Stewart's vacated minutes at power forward. Duren has at least helped his cause by outperforming Bagley in the two games since Stewart exited the lineup, but the three-year, $37.5 million deal Bagley signed this summer might be enough for him to stick atop the depth chart for now.
Nov 17, 2022
Will come off bench Thursday
Duren will come off the bench Thursday against the Clippers, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Initial reports indicated that Duren would see his first career start Thursday against the Clippers, but he will ultimately come off the bench. Expect the rookie center to see his typical workload of around 20 minutes.
Nov 17, 2022
Draws first career start Thursday
Duren will start Thursday against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has seen an increase in minutes since Nov. 9 when he recorded his first career double-double in 30 minutes of action against the Celtics. The rookie center will start alongside Killian Hayes, Bojan Bogdanovic, Saddiq Bey and Marvin Bagley.
Nov 10, 2022
Collects second double-double
Duren totaled 10 points (5-8 FG), 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 112-128 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Duren received a surprising boost in minutes Wednesday and notched his first 30-minute game of the 2022-23 campaign. It ended up paying off, as he secured his second double-double of the season with a simple yet effective shooting line, and a strong night on the boards. Duren's work on the offensive glass was especially notable, leading the way with five offensive rebounds.
Nov 7, 2022
Available against Thunder
Duren (ankle) is available for Monday's game against Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Duren was probable ahead of Monday's game and will be able to return to action following a three-game absence. Over his first seven appearances of the season, he's averaged 7.4 points and 6.7 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.
Nov 6, 2022
Likely to play Monday
Duren (ankle) is probable for Monday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Duren has missed three straight games due to a left ankle sprain, but he's in line to return Monday. Across seven appearances, the rookie is averaging 7.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 20.7 minutes per game.
Nov 6, 2022
Gets back on court
Duren (ankle) took part in Sunday's practice, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Dwane Casey didn't specify whether Duren was a full participant, but the rookie's presence on the court could be enough for him to be a candidate to suit up Monday against the Thunder. Before missing the Pistons' last three games with the ankle injury, Duren had been serving as the top backup to starting center Isaiah Stewart. However, with Marvin Bagley (knee) practicing Sunday and potentially in line to make his season debut during the upcoming week, it's unclear if Duren will be able to maintain a spot in the rotation.
Nov 4, 2022
Out again
Duren (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Friday's contest marks three straight absences for Duren, however, his return is imminent given that he had been initially listed as probable against the Cavaliers. In his stead, Nerlens Noel will handle the Pistons' backup center minutes.
Nov 4, 2022
Considered game-time decision
Duren (ankle) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against Cleveland, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren was downgraded from probable to questionable ahead of Friday's game, and he'll be evaluated after pregame warmups to determine whether he's able to play against the Cavaliers. Nerlens Noel should continue to draw playing time if Duren remains out.
Nov 4, 2022
Downgraded to questionable
Duren (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Duren was initially listed as probable due to his ankle injury, but he's trending in the wrong direction ahead of Friday's matchup. If he's forced to miss a third consecutive game, Nerlens Noel will likely serve as the Pistons' primary backup at center once again.
Nov 3, 2022
Probable Friday
Duren (ankle) is probable for Friday's game against Cleveland, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, but he was close to playing Wednesday against the Bucks. It seems likely that he'll return to the court for Friday's home matchup against the Cavaliers. Over his first seven appearances of the season, he's averaged 7.4 points and 6.7 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.
Nov 2, 2022
Out Wednesday, nearing return
Duren (ankle), who is out Wednesday against the Bucks, was initially expected to be available for the game before being held out. He is nearing a return and may play Friday against the Cavaliers, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss his second consecutive game after rolling his ankle in Sunday's win over the Warriors. Expect Nerlens Noel to continue to receive extended minutes as the Pistons' backup center with Marvin Bagley (knee) also out. More information on Duren's potential return may arrive Thursday.
Nov 1, 2022
Remains out against Milwaukee
Duren (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Duren will miss his second consecutive game after rolling his ankle in Sunday's win over the Warriors. Expect Nerlens Noel to continue to receive extended minutes as the Pistons' backup center with Marvin Bagley (knee) also out. Duren's next opportunity to play will be in Friday's game versus the Cavaliers.
Oct 31, 2022
Ruled out Monday
Duren (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bucks, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren rolled his ankle during Sunday's win over the Warriors and didn't make the trip to Milwaukee ahead of Monday's matchup. Marvin Bagley (knee) is also sidelined, so Nerlens Noel could see increased run in the Pistons' frontcourt against the Bucks.
Oct 30, 2022
Sustains ankle injury
Duren exited Sunday's win over the Warriors due to an apparent ankle injury, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren appeared to be in considerable pain after landing awkwardly on his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game, and he had to be helped off the court prior to walking to the locker room. Prior to his departure, he logged three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and a block in 15 minutes. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available Monday against the Bucks.
Oct 23, 2022
Unflattering performance Saturday
Duren closed Saturday's 124-115 loss to Indiana with six points (3-3 FG), three rebounds and two blocks across 18 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Duren continues to log consistent minutes for the Pistons, although his production has dwindled since his impressive debut. The rookie did manage a pair of blocked shots to somewhat salvage his evening, barely enough to keep him on standard league rosters. The upside is very apparent but it could be a few weeks, if not months until he is unleashed. He remains a viable asset in standard formats, as long as immediate production is not required.
Oct 20, 2022
Posts double-double off bench
Duren finished with 14 points (7-13 FG, 0-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 113-109 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Duren served as the Pistons' backup center during Wednesday's regular-season opener but saw ample playing time with Marvin Bagley (knee) and Nerlens Noel (foot) sidelined. It's possible that the 18-year-old heads to the G League once the Pistons are back to full strength, but he demonstrated during his professional debut Wednesday that he has the ability to make an impact in the NBA.
Oct 13, 2022
Pulls down 12 rebounds Thursday
Duren produced seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds and a block in 19 minutes in Thursday's 126-111 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Duren grabbed six boards and scored six points in seven fourth-quarter minutes. He has double-digit rebounds in each of his three preseason contests, averaging 12.0 rebounds in 22.7 minutes. With Marvin Bagley (knee) out to start the season and Nerlens Noel (foot) still recovering from injury, Duren could start the regular season as the backup to Isaiah Stewart at center.
Oct 12, 2022
Grabs 10 boards in loss
Duren tallied five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes during Tuesday's preseason loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
While the overall production was far from exemplary, the bigger story to come out of the game was the fact Marvin Bagley left after just one minute courtesy of a knee injury. If Bagley is forced to miss the start of the regular season, Duren could be the next man up when it comes to the starting center position. He isn't worth drafting just yet but should we get word that he will be in the opening unit, he could be worth a late-round flier, at the very least.
Oct 11, 2022
Will play Tuesday
Coach Dwayne Casey indicated Tuesday that Duren (shoulder) will take part in the evening's contest against the Thunder, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren has been battling lingering shoulder soreness the last few days, but it doesn't appear the issue is serious enough to prevent him from taking the floor Tuesday. He didn't play last Friday against the Pelicans but posted 14 points and two boards over 24 minutes against the Knicks last Tuesday.
Oct 10, 2022
Returns to practice Monday
Duren (shoulder) participated in Monday's practice session, but Pistons head coach Dwane Casey is uncertain if he'll play Tuesday against the Thunder, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren missed the Pistons' last preseason game as well as Sunday's practice due to a minor shoulder issue, but it sounds like he has a chance to return to action as early as Tuesday. Barring any setbacks, the rookie shouldn't have any restrictions when the regular season tips off next Wednesday against the Magic.
Oct 9, 2022
Dealing with shoulder injury
Duren didn't practice Sunday due to shoulder soreness, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Pistons head coach Dwane Casey said Duren's shoulder issue is minor, but it did cause him to miss Friday's preseason game and Sunday's practice. The rookie first-round pick's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Thunder.
Oct 4, 2022
Dominates boards Tuesday
Duren scored two points (1-3 FG) while adding 14 rebounds and a block in 24 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's preseason loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Taken with the 13th overall pick in this year's draft, Duren is viewed as a raw developmental project, but he absolutely dominated the glass in his first taste of NBA game action. Not only did the 18-year-old lead all players in rebounding for the night, he was the only player on either team to pull down more than seven boards. Duren's offensive game and basketball IQ lag well behind his length and athleticism, but if he can continue to make an impact as a rebounder, he could have a bigger role than expected this season in the Detroit frontcourt.
Jul 14, 2022
Resting Thursday
Duren will take a day off for rest purposes Thursday, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Duren got off to a decent start to open Summer League, compiling 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. The No. 13 overall pick doesn't look to be bothered by an injury, but the big man will take a day of rest. Detroit's scheduled Summer League contests have concluded aside from Tournament play during the weekend.
