After going 3-for-5 from three over the first two games of season, Suggs has gone 11-for-24 from deep over his last two outings and appears to have been given the green light from three-point range. Suggs and the 3-1 Magic will hit the road to take on the Bulls on Wednesday.

Suggs is expected to continue receiving meaningful minutes in the starting five, and he has seen a gradual uptick in playing time since the regular-season opener.

Although he may not be a prototypical point guard, his assist and steal numbers should be enough to keep him afloat, making him a viable target in the ninth or tenth rounds of drafts.

Suggs wasn't able to generate much on the offensive end, and he has the unenviable task of trying to slow Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell in this series. Despite some solid counting stats, Suggs hasn't played to his full potential just yet, as he's hitting just 24.0 percent from beyond the arc in his last five games.

Paolo Banchero led the way for the Magic with an impressive double-double, but Suggs' outing can't be overlooked, as he missed just two shots from the field while also making his presence felt on both ends of the court. The Magic need Suggs to be at his best if they want to have a shot at turning things around in the series, and this was certainly a step in the right direction after he scored a combined 22 points while going 6-for-21 from the field in the first two games of this matchup.

Suggs won't face a minutes limit during Thursday's Game 3 against the Cavaliers, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.

Suggs suffered a left knee sprain during Monday's Game 2 loss, but he practiced fully Wednesday and did so again Thursday morning. He's averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 31.0 minutes per game over the first two matchups in the series.

Suggs said after Monday's 96-86 loss to the Cavaliers that he doesn't think his sprained left knee injury will keep him from playing Thursday in Game 3 of the series, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Suggs suffered the injury in the first quarter Monday, when he collapsed to the floor after making contact with Cleveland's Donovan Mitchell. He grabbed at his leg in visible pain after the play and didn't put any weight on his leg as he was assisted to the locker room, but he was able to return to the contest after halftime while sporting a compression sleeve on his leg. He ended up playing well down the stretch, finishing with nine points (2-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 29 minutes. Adrenaline might have played a part in Suggs feeling well enough to return, so the Magic will wait and see how his knee responds over the next two days before deciding whether he's fit to play in Game 3 with the Magic facing a 2-0 series deficit.

Suggs was fantastic on both ends of the floor despite the loss, leading the Magic with 21 points with four combined steals and blocks. Suggs has been somewhat of a revelation this season, finally realizing some of the potential that has until now been missing. He has been a top 100 player in 72 games, averaging 12.5 points, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.1 three-pointers.

Suggs closed with 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 29 minutes during Sunday's 113-98 victory over the Bulls.

Suggs was coming off seven straight outings in which he couldn't clear the 15-point mark, including back-to-back single-digit scoring efforts, but he bounced back in a big way here and played a prominent role on offense Sunday. However, the uptick in touches was also due to Franz Wagner leaving the game with an ankle sprain in the third quarter. Suggs will try to keep the momentum going when the Magic take on the Rockets on Tuesday.

Suggs logged eight points (4-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 22 minutes during Friday's 124-115 loss to Charlotte.

Suggs was a non-factor in the loss, outplayed by Markelle Fultz on both ends of the floor. Despite being a must-roster player for the majority of the season, Suggs' fantasy ceiling remains limited. With very little room to move in terms of upside, he is not someone who needs to be prioritized down the stretch.

Wednesday's game was the second contest in a row when Suggs went 1-for-5 from deep. He's shooting a career-high 39.5 percent from beyond the arc this season, but that has dropped to 27.8 percent over his last three games. Suggs will look to get his stroke back Friday against the Clippers.

Suggs finished Thursday's 121-106 victory over the Pelicans with 22 points (7-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes.

Suggs has scored in double digits in each of his last six games while shooting 48.7 percent from three on 6.5 attempts per game. Thursday's performance marked the first time since Jan. 9 against the Timberwolves that he's scored 20 points. Suggs is registering career highs this season in points per game (12.5), field-goal shooting (46.7 percent) and three-point shooting (40.1 percent).

Suggs finished Tuesday's 112-92 victory over Charlotte with 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists, two blocks and three steals across 25 minutes.

Suggs registered three steals Tuesday, which is the second time he's done that in his last three games. The Magic have won their last nine games when Suggs has played, and in each of those games, Orlando has held its opponent to 110 points or less thanks in part to the defensive prowess of the third-year guard out of Gonzaga. Suggs is averaging 12.9 points on 55.0 percent shooting (including 47.2 percent from three on 5.1 3PA/G), 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals over 26.7 minutes per game in March.

After missing two games due to a bruised right thigh, Suggs has put up decent numbers in his last two games. His three-point shooting has been particularly good as he's gone 7-for-14 over that span. Suggs is shooting a career-high 39.7 percent from three this season, up nearly seven percentage points from 2022-23.

Suggs returned to practice Tuesday after missing back-to-back games and will be good to go Wednesday. Suggs was nearly perfect from the field, missing just one shot from the field but also making his presence felt across other categories. Suggs has gone through an inconsistent stretch over the last few weeks, but he seems to be getting up to speed after posting double-digit points in four of his last five appearances. He's averaging 13.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game in that stretch.

Suggs led all players in Friday's contest in threes made while hauling in a half-dozen rebounds and recording team-high-tying marks in steals and blocks in a well-rounded performance on the road. Suggs, who ended as one of five Magic players with a double-digit point total, has connected on four or more threes in seven games this season while tallying at least 15 points for the first time since Jan. 19.

Suggs (knee) will be available for Sunday's game against the Suns, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Suggs was forced to leave Friday's game with a bruised left knee, but he'll be good to go Sunday. During 16 games leading up to the injury, Suggs averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

Suggs closed with 20 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three steals in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 113-92 loss to the Timberwolves.

Suggs' 20 points was the most of the Magic starters Tuesday, in a game that saw Orlando shoot 36.2 percent from the field against the best defense in the NBA. Suggs has scored in double-digits in all five games since the New Year and has scored 20-plus in three of those five games. He's averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals over 32.1 minutes per game over his last five outings.

Suggs had 27 points (9-15 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 34 minutes during Friday's 122-120 win over the Nuggets.

Suggs' seven three-point makes was his most since Nov. 11 when he hit eight of his 10 attempts from beyond the arc against the Bucks. He was second on the team in scoring behind Paolo Banchero and stepped into a larger role in the offense after Anthony Black (illness) left after five minutes of play. Suggs could see more opportunities in the offense moving forward with the Magic's injury list growing.

Suggs has connected on five or more threes in two games this year while finishing with 20 or more points in six contests.

Suggs amassed 20 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 112-92 loss to the 76ers.

The third-year guard scored at least 20 points for the first time in December, as ankle and wrist issues have cost him three games and cut into his effectiveness during the month. Injuries have been the story of Suggs's career so far, but when he's been healthy this season he's shown flashes of the upside that made him the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He's scored in double digits in six straight games sandwiched around a two-game absence just before Christmas, averaging 14.3 points, 3.2 boards, 2.2 threes, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks over that stretch while shooting 55.9 percent from the floor and 38.2 percent (13-for-34) from three-point range.

Suggs went just 4-of-13 from the floor but salvaged his night with another strong defensive showing. After a slow start to the season, he has emerged as a must-roster player thanks to his ability to rack up elite steal numbers. He was forced from this game due to an apparent arm injury but was able to return. Managers should keep an eye on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Bulls just in case the injury flares up overnight.

Suggs combination of defensive intensity, offensive connectivity and plus-athleticism is a strong foundation, but his inability to carve out an effective shot diet is a detraction to his fantasy credibility as well as his place in Orlando's future. Suggs will likely continue to see a sizable workload, but improving upon his 32.7 percent three-point shooting from last season is imperative.

Suggs had a chance to send the game to overtime, but his fade-back jumper missed the mark. Monday marked Orlando's first loss of the season, and it already looks like they'll make fewer notches in the L column with a very diverse and effective offense. Suggs hasn't blown up yet, but a game of 20 points or more should be just around the corner for the talented guard.

Suggs and the rest of Orlando's starters didn't see excessive playing time during Wednesday's regular-season opener, but it was discouraging to see the 2021 first-rounder open the year with an inefficient performance from the floor. He averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23.5 minutes per game last year and should be able to handle a relatively similar role this season, but it's possible Anthony Black pushes for playing time at some point despite logging just five minutes Wednesday.

Suggs' sophomore season came to an end Sunday, putting a bow on what was another underwhelming campaign. Derailed by injury early in the piece, Suggs never really got things going, even once he was healthy. He remains a key piece for the Magic moving forward, although exactly where he fits in remains to be seen.

Suggs moved back to the bench with Gary Harris returning from a two-game absence, but the former still garnered a solid role and posted an all-around line during Thursday's loss. The second-year point guard scored his most points since Feb. 14, dished out his most assists since Nov. 19 and logged at least one steal for a fifth consecutive contest. During that five-game stretch, Suggs is averaging 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals in 29.1 minutes.

After losing a significant amount of playing time back in January and Febuary, the young guard is now averaging 30 minutes per game to start the month of March, putting him back into strong streaming consideration in standard leagues.

Suggs will enter the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Trail Blazers, with Gary Harris (hip) unavailable.

Joining Suggs in the first unit will be Markelle Fultz, Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr. Suggs should be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s in a starting role, and he'll draw a favorable matchup against Portland, so he could be someone to think about as a potential streamer.

While Suggs was moderately productive in Friday's victory, the playing time was the real talking point. Since returning from injury in early January, this was the first time Suggs has eclipsed 30 minutes. Franz Wagner went down with an ankle injury and based on what played out following the incident, Suggs could see an uptick in playing time if Wagner misses time. He isn't a must-roster player just yet but if things trend in the right direction, he could certainly be back on the standard league radar.

Suggs posted his second-highest scoring total of the season during Orlando's final game before the All-Star break with 24 points against Toronto, but he was much less effective during Thursday's narrow win. He's been held to single-digit scoring totals in three of his last six appearances and has averaged 9.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game during that time.

Suggs ended Tuesday's 123-113 loss to Toronto with 24 points (9-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals over 29 minutes.

Although Suggs came off the bench for a third consecutive game Tuesday, he posted his second-highest scoring total of the season during the loss. Over his five appearances since returning from a one-game suspension, he's averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.6 minutes per game.

Suggs finished Saturday's 107-103 overtime loss to the Heat with 14 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four steals, three blocks and two assists in 28 minutes.

While the scoring total tied Suggs' best mark since he returned from a five-week absence in early January due to an ankle injury, his huge production in the defensive categories was the bigger takeaway from his fantasy line. Considering that Suggs had accrued just three blocks in total in his first 17 games back from injury before Saturday, his output in that category can safely be viewed as an outlier, but the second-year guard looks like he'll be a strong source of steals. With his ankle injury further in the rear-view mirror and his play improving, Suggs has earned 20-plus minutes in four of his five appearances in February and has turned in three games of at least three steals during that stretch.

Due to this, Suggs won't play Sunday against the Hornets, but he'd be eligible to return Tuesday against the Knicks.

Fortunately for Suggs and his fantasy managers, he did not throw any punches and will likely avoid a suspension. Suggs logged 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists and career-high five steals in 26 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 105-94 loss to the 76ers.

It was a big night on the defensive end for Suggs, who had only five steals in his prior seven games combined. The second-year point guard has played 20 or more minutes in three straight games, the first time he's seen that kind of consistent workload since he injured his ankle in late November and ceded the starting role to Markelle Fultz. As yet, however, Suggs' production doesn't put him on the radar in shallowed fantasy formats.

The rookie's spotty shooting from the field renders him unreliable in the points column from game to game, but his steady playing time should allow him to produce enough in other areas to compensate for the lack of efficiency.

Suggs was in the midst of a productive Summer League, and he'll finish the exhibitions with averages of 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.7 combined steals-plus-blocks in 21.8 minutes. A timetable for his return has not been immediately established, but he could be ready in time for training camp.
