Keep up with the latest injuries from the Cavaliers vs Bulls game on tomorrow with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 9, 2025
Goes through practice Tuesday
Allen (finger) fully practiced Tuesday, according to Cavaliers reporter Danny Cunningham.
ANALYSIS
Allen appears to be trending in the right direction following a five-game absence. The Cavaliers don't play again until Friday against the Wizards, giving the center even more time to ramp back up to 100 percent.
Nov 30, 2025
To miss at least one week
The Cavaliers announced Sunday that Allen (finger) is expected to miss at least one week.
ANALYSIS
Following a three-game absence due to a strained right finger, Allen returned to action in Friday's loss to the Hawks. However, he's now expected to miss an extended period due to the finger injury. With the big man and Larry Nance (calf) both sidelined, Dean Wade, Jaylon Tyson, Nae'Qwan Tomlin and Thomas Bryant are candidates for increased playing time. Additionally, Evan Mobley will likely see more time at center.
Nov 29, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Allen (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen will be held out of the front end of the Cavaliers' back-to-back set, marking his fourth absence in a five-game span. With the big man and Larry Nance (calf) both sidelined, Dean Wade, Nae'Qwan Tomlin and Thomas Bryant are all candidates for increased minutes.
Nov 29, 2025
Grabs eight boards in return
Allen (finger) posted eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes in Friday's 130-123 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen made his return from a three-game absence due to a right middle finger strain and didn't operate with any limitations, as he stepped back into the starting five and ended up surpassing his season-long average in minutes (26.1). The veteran center's scoring average is up nearly a full point from the 2024-25 campaign (13.5 points per game to 14.3), but his 57.3 percent mark from the field is down over 13.0 percentage points from last season.
Nov 28, 2025
Will play Friday
Allen (finger) is good to go for Friday's game in Atlanta, Ethan Sands of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is back after a three-game stint on the sidelines, which should result in Larry Nance returning to the second unit and Nae'Qwan Tomlin's minutes will dip. Thomas Bryant could drop from the rotation entirely with Allen available.
Nov 27, 2025
Probable for Friday
Allen (finger) is probable for Friday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen is expected to return from a three-game absence Friday. With this news, Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Jaylon Tyson and Larry Nance could be less involved for Cleveland.
Nov 24, 2025
Out again Monday
Allen (finger) will miss Monday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a third straight game as he continues to recover from a strained right finger. Allen's next chance to play comes Friday against the Hawks.
Nov 22, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Allen (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Allen is set to miss his second straight game, which should create more opportunity for Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Jaylon Tyson and Larry Nance. Allen's next chance to play will come Monday in Toronto.
Nov 21, 2025
Ruled out for Friday
Allen (finger) will not play Friday against the Pacers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cavs' head coach Kenny Atkinson said it looked as though Allen would play during his pregame media availability Friday afternoon, so it's surprising to see Allen get ruled out. His absence will open up minutes for Thomas Bryant and Larry Nance. For now, Allen should be considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Clippers.
Nov 21, 2025
Expected to play Friday
Allen (finger) is expected to play Friday against the Pacers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen remains questionable on the latest edition of the injury report, but the star big man is trending toward being available. Allen is averaging 15.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game since the beginning of November.
Nov 20, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Allen (finger) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen is managing a strained right finger ahead of the action. The star big man could go through Friday's pregame warmups in order to determine his status. Evan Mobley could shift over to center if Allen is out, which would open up more playing time for De'Andre Hunter and Dean Wade at power forward.
Nov 17, 2025
Efficient in limited chances
Allen finished Monday's 118-106 victory over the Bucks with 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one block in 25 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't see many chances to make an impact in the scoring column Monday night, as it was Donovan Mitchell who was in full control of the Cavs' offensive attack. However, Allen still managed to score in double figures for the 10th time in 13 games this season while tacking on a block for a third straight matchup.
Nov 12, 2025
Drops 30 points in win
Allen generated 30 points (12-20 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes of Wednesday's 130-116 win over Miami.
ANALYSIS
With Darius Garland (toe), Donovan Mitchell (rest) and Evan Mobley (rest) sidelined for Wednesday's contest, Allen was left as the Cavaliers' top option. He delivered a season-high and team-leading 30 points, while notching his fourth double-double of the campaign. However, the 27-year-old center failed to log a steal or a block for the first time this year. Through 10 games this season, Allen is averaging 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks across 26.3 minutes.
Nov 7, 2025
Logs second straight double-double
Allen recorded 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 26 minutes during Friday's 148-114 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen shot the ball with efficiency and dominated on the glass, leading the Cavs with 14 rebounds. He's also contributed as a defender of late, racking up five steals and four blocks in his previous two matchups. After a rough first few games of the season, Allen appears to be back on track.
Nov 5, 2025
Drops double-double in return
Allen posted 24 points (11-17 FG, 02- 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and three steals over 30 minutes during Cleveland's 132-121 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Wednesday marked the first time in the 2025-26 season that Cleveland's core four of Allen, Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley shared the floor together. Allen was cleared to play Wednesday after missing the Cavaliers' last two games due to a finger injury and made his presence felt in his return with a game-high plus-24 point differential. He also posted season-highs in blocks and steals and recorded his first double-double of the season after logging 40 during the 2024-25 campaign. Allen is averaging 15.7 points on 59.6 percent shooting, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.8 blocks over 27.5 minutes to open the regular season.
Nov 5, 2025
Set to face 76ers
Allen (finger) will play in Wednesday's game against Philadelphia barring a setback in pregame warmups, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
For the first time this season, the Cavaliers' entire core four of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Allen will be available. Allen has missed back-to-back games with a fractured finger on his left hand, but the 27-year-old center appears to be a full-go Wednesday. He's averaging 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
Nov 4, 2025
Questionable for Wednesday
Allen (finger) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen is looking to end a two-game absence with a fractured finger. If the star big man cannot give it a go, the Cavaliers would likely turn to Larry Nance and Dean Wade to help pick up the slack in the frontcourt.
Nov 2, 2025
Ruled out Sunday
Allen (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hawks, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a second consecutive game while recovering from a fractured finger on his left hand. In his absence, expect Evan Mobley to see more action at center, with Dean Wade, Larry Nance and Thomas Bryant being candidates to see increased opportunities Sunday.
Nov 1, 2025
Iffy for Sunday
Allen (finger) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Hawks, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive game due to a fractured finger on his left hand. The big man will likely be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's tipoff at 6:00 p.m. ET. If Allen is unable to play, Dean Wade, Larry Nance and Thomas Bryant are candidates for increased minutes.
Oct 31, 2025
Won't play vs. Toronto
Allen (finger) won't play in Friday's game against the Raptors, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his left finger Thursday, and it appears that the Cavaliers will evaluate him on a day-to-day basis. The star big man can be deemed questionable for Sunday's showdown with the Hawks. Evan Mobley should dominate the usage in Donovan Mitchell's (hamstring) absence Friday, while Larry Nance makes sense as a plug-and-play fantasy option in a pinch.
Oct 30, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Allen (finger) is questionable for Friday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his left finger, jeopardizing his status for Friday. If the star big man cannot play, Larry Nance or Dean Wade would likely be the direct beneficiaries from a fantasy perspective.
Oct 27, 2025
Cruises to 20-point night
Allen totaled 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Monday's 116-95 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen looked sharp on the offensive end and led the frontcourt in scoring. Consistency has been a concern through his first four appearances of the new season, as he's been held to eight points or fewer in two games but has also reached the 20-point mark twice. It was nice to see Allen piece together a strong performance on a night that Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley were also effective, proving there is plenty of production to go around.
Oct 25, 2025
Adds 22 points in victory
Allen posted 22 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 131-124 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen posted an efficient shooting line, needing only 11 attempts from the field to reach the 20-point threshold. He also showed up on the boards, as both Allen and Evan Mobley combined for 15 total rebounds. This was a reassuring sight for fantasy managers after Allen was held to four points on 1-for-4 from the field in Wednesday's season opener against the Knicks.
Oct 23, 2025
Quiet in season opener
Allen dropped four points (1-4 FG, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, two steals and an assist over 28 minutes in Wednesday's 119-111 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Allen only attempted four shots Wednesday, which only occurred nine times during the 2024-25 season. He also shoots 71.1 percent from the free throw line and 64.1 percent from the field on his career, so expect his numbers to trend towards those lines and look less like Wednesday's statline as the season progresses. The Cavs' starting center will look to get right Friday against the Nets.
Oct 14, 2025
Scores 15 points with two blocks
Allen recorded 15 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and one turnover in 28 minutes during Tuesday's preseason win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen isn't the most exciting player, but he can be a steady source of rebounds and defensive stats while boosting your team's field goal percentage. He's a solid, mid-round target for draft day.
Oct 14, 2025
Will play vs. Detroit
Allen (rest) will play and start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen will return to the floor Tuesday after sitting out Sunday's preseason loss to the Celtics for rest purposes. This will be the first time the veteran center will play during this preseason.
Oct 13, 2025
Does not play Sunday
Allen (rest) did not take the floor during Sunday's preseason loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Allen's absence resulted in Larry Nance drawing a spot-start, but Allen should be back in action for Tuesday's exhibition, which should shift Nance back to the second unit.
Oct 12, 2025
Not starting exhibition
Allen isn't part of the starting lineup for Sunday's preseason game against Boston.
ANALYSIS
Allen's absence from the starting lineup likely means he'll be getting the day off. If that's the case, Allen's next chance to play would come Tuesday against Detroit.
Apr 11, 2025
Handles normal workload in win
Allen totaled 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 108-102 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Although Allen was limited to just 16 minutes in Thursday's narrow loss to Indiana, he was back to handling his normal workload while posting a double-double Friday. It's possible the top-seeded Cavaliers opt to rest several key players in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Pacers, though. Allen has averaged 14.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals in 26.4 minutes while shooting 77.1 percent from the floor over his last nine games.
Apr 10, 2025
Sits out second half Thursday
Allen didn't return during the second half of Thursday's 114-112 loss to Indiana. He finished the game with three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen was the only regular starter to suit up for Cleveland, as his goal is to play in all 82 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign. The big man didn't return during the second half, though he should be back in action for the second leg of the club's back-to-back set against the Knicks on Friday. It wouldn't be a surprise if Cleveland continues to manage Allen's playing time over the final two games of the regular season.
Apr 10, 2025
Doesn't start second half Thursday
Allen (rest) didn't start the second half of Thursday's game against the Pacers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealerreports.
ANALYSIS
Allen's goal is to play all 82 regular-season games this year, and he was the only usual starter for the Cavaliers to suit up Thursday. If the big man doesn't check back in, he'll finish with three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes. Head coach Kenny Atkinson said Thursday that Allen would operate under a limited capacity, per Fedor, which could continue moving forward, as the club has two games remaining after Thursday.
Apr 4, 2025
Doesn't return Friday
Allen didn't return to Friday's 114-113 win over the Spurs after halftime due to rest purposes, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen played during the first half but didn't return after halftime. This was a planned compromise between the Cavaliers organization and Allen, who's goal is to play in all 82 games this season. He finished with four points (2-2 FG), four rebounds and three assists across 16 minutes.
Mar 30, 2025
Top scorer in double-double outing
Allen posted 25 points (11-12 FG, 3-6 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Sunday's 127-122 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Allen led the way for Cleveland in the paint Sunday, pacing all players in scoring and shots made while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total in a double-double performance. Allen has recorded 25 or more points in five outings, including in two of his last three appearances. He has now posted a double-double in 39 contests this season.
Mar 28, 2025
Carries Cleveland to victory
Allen recorded 29 points (10-11 FG, 9-11 FT), 15 rebounds, one block and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 124-116 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Donovan Mitchell turned heads with his 14-assist performance on Thursday, but Allen was the one who carried the Cavaliers on offense while also dominating the glass. This was his first double-double since March 16, but it came at a time when the Cavaliers needed him to step up on both ends of the court. Even if he's no longer the double-double machine he once was, Allen remains a capable two-way presence for the Cavs. He's averaging 15.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and a combined 2.3 steals-plus-blocks per game since the start of March.
Mar 24, 2025
Top scorer in winning effort
Allen notched 18 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes during Sunday's 120-91 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Allen paced Cleveland offensively in Sunday's contest, recording a team-high scoring total in a balanced performance that also featured a strong defensive showing. Allen has tallied 18 or more points in 15 outings this season, doing so for the second time in five contests.
Mar 17, 2025
Posts another double-double
Allen totaled 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-6 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block over 32 minutes during Sunday's 108-103 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen barely missed shots from the field and posted a double-double for the fifth time across eight appearances this month. The big man is averaging 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and a combined 2.9 steals-plus-blocks in that span, and he continues to be one of the most reliable two-way big men across all formats.
Mar 11, 2025
Tallies another 20-10 double-double
Allen finished Tuesday's 109-104 victory over the Nets with 23 points (7-12 FG, 9-11 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen owned the paint in Tuesday's contest, leading all Cavaliers in rebounds and blocks while finishing as one of three players with 20 or more points in a well-rounded double-double. Allen has surpassed the 20-point mark in 11 contests, adding 10 or more boards in 10 of those outings.
Mar 8, 2025
Amasses five steals Friday
Allen produced 14 points (4-10 FG, 6-6 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and five steals over 32 minutes during Friday's 118-117 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Allen was a pest on the defensive end, tallying a season-high five steals. Better known for his shot-blocking, Allen surprised many with his efforts, especially given he had recorded no more than three steals in any one game thus far this season. The Cavaliers have now won 13 consecutive games, with Allen continuing to be a key figure up front.
Mar 5, 2025
Big double-double in Tuesday's win
Allen finished Tuesday's 139-117 victory over the Bulls with 25 points (10-11 FG, 5-5 FT), 17 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The double-double was his 34th of the season, while the 25 points represented his best scoring effort since Jan. 8. The 26-year-old center's elevated production came with Evan Mobley (rest) in street clothes for the first game of a back-to-back, so Allen is likely to fall back to his usual level Wednesday against the Heat. Over 13 appearances since the beginning of February, Allen has averaged 13.1 points, 11.2 boards, 2.2 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 74.0 percent from the floor.
Mar 2, 2025
Leading rebounder in double-double
Allen contributed 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 26 minutes during Sunday's 133-129 overtime win over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Allen led the way for Cleveland in the paint Sunday, pacing all players in rebounds and blocks en route to a double-double performance. Allen has recorded a double-double in 33 outings, doing so in two of his last four contests.
Feb 23, 2025
Will play Sunday
Allen (finger) is available for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
X-rays came back negative for Allen's finger, which he injured during Friday's win over the Knicks, and the injury doesn't appear to be serious enough for him to miss any time. Allen has averaged 12.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks over 26.5 minutes per game since the beginning of February.
Feb 22, 2025
Questionable to play Sunday
Allen (finger) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen left Friday's 142-105 win over the Knicks after spraining his right index finger. X-rays didn't reveal any further damage than that, though he has yet to be given the green light to play Sunday. Tristan Thompson and Dean Wade would stand to see more playing time if Allen were to be sidelined.
Feb 21, 2025
Won't return against New York
Allen suffered a right hand injury during Friday's game against the Knicks and won't return, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
After logging 20 minutes in Friday's game against the Knicks, Allen headed to the locker room with an injury on his right hand. The veteran big man will not return to the game despite negative X-rays on the injured hand. He racked up 10 points and three rebounds before leaving the game.
Feb 21, 2025
Nearly perfect showing Thursday
Allen finished with 16 points (8-9 FG, 0-2 FT), 20 rebounds, one block and one steal over 25 minutes during Thursday's 110-97 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed just one of his nine attempts from the floor, but as good as he was on offense, he was even more dominant on the glass. The 20-rebound haul was a season-high mark for him, and the big man has grabbed double-digit boards in each of his last six outings, averaging 13.0 points and 14.3 rebounds per game in that stretch.
Feb 13, 2025
Double-double in win
Allen logged 13 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 3Pt), 10 boards, three assists, two blocks and a steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 131-108 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen put together a solid outing Wednesday, recording his fifth straight game with double-digit rebounds and his fourth double-double during that stretch. He also did it with enviable efficiency, missing just one shot on the night. He'll take on the Nets on Thursday, against whom he's averaging just 8.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.5 blocks per game.
Feb 4, 2025
Season-high 18 boards vs. Boston
Allen provided 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-5 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and one block over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 112-105 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
While Donovan Mitchell (31) and Darius Garland (25) paced the Cavaliers' offense, Allen made his presence felt on the glass with a season-high 18 rebounds while grabbing six of Cleveland's 14 offensive boards. It was Allen's 27th double-double of the regular season, five of which have come over his last eight outings. Since the beginning of January, Allen has averaged 14.1 points on 71.3 percent shooting, 10.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocks over 28.3 minutes per game.
Jan 23, 2025
Big night on both ends in loss
Allen put up 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 13 boards, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 32 minutes of action during Wednesday's 109-108 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
The big man has taken on a larger role on both ends as Evan Mobley (calf) remains sidelined, with Wednesday's outing marking his second straight double-double. He also matched his second-highest block and steal totals of the season, making for a well-rounded fantasy performance. He'll next take the court Friday against the 76ers.
Jan 17, 2025
Perfect shooting night in blowout
Allen contributed 13 points (6-6 FG, 1-1 FT) and seven rebounds in 16 minutes during Thursday's 134-114 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Despite playing a season-low 16 minutes, Allen was able to salvage his box score with a perfect night from the field en route to his 10th straight game with double-digit points. During this frame, the star big man has averaged 17.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals in 27.2 minutes while shooting 77.7 percent from the floor. The presence of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland in Cleveland's dynamic backcourt along with frontcourt mate Evan Mobley stretching the floor should continue to free up plenty of easy looks underneath the basket for Allen going forward.
Jan 10, 2025
Continues to shine
Allen had 18 points (8-9 FG, 2-4 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 28 minutes during Thursday's 132-126 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed just one of his nine attempts from the floor and posted a loaded stat line, recording at least one tally in each of the five major categories for the fourth time across his last six appearances. The big man has also recorded four double-doubles over his last five outings, averaging 20.0 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 blocks per game in that span.
Jan 9, 2025
Leads Cavs in victory Wednesday
Allen had 25 points (9-11 FG, 7-10 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 129-122 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Allen stepped up big time in the most anticipated game of the 2024-25 regular season thus far, missing just two shots from the field and being a dominant presence on both ends of the court to lead the Cavaliers to their 11th consecutive victory. Allen has scored in double digits in six straight games while posting four double-doubles in that span.
Jan 5, 2025
Top rebounder in double-double
Allen ended Sunday's 115-105 win over Charlotte with 19 points (9-10 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen once again led the Cavaliers in the paint Sunday, pacing all players in rebounds and blocks while ending second on the team in scoring and as the lone player with a double-double in a winning effort. Allen has recorded a double-double in 20 outings this season, including in three of his last five contests.
Jan 1, 2025
Excellent two-way display
Allen closed with 27 points (12-14 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 122-110 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Allen was efficient and dominant on both ends of the court, missing just two of his 14 shots from the field but also making his presence on defense. This was just the third time this season in which he registered double-digit boards and multiple blocks in the same game. It was also the big man's 19th double-double of the campaign.
Dec 23, 2024
Quiet in win Monday
Allen had seven points (2-6 FG, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes during Monday's 124-113 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to put up modest production on both ends of the floor, a contrast to what he was doing to open the season. Over the past week, Allen has averaged just 7.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 0.2 blocks. While this is not ideal, it is also not altogether surprising given the rise of Evan Mobley. Allen will almost certainly be better than this moving forward but could find himself taking a backset to Mobley more often as the season develops.
Dec 17, 2024
Perfect from field in win
Allen scored 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-3 FT) and added eight rebounds, four assists and two steals over 24 minutes in Monday's 130-101 blowout victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of seven Cavaliers to score in double digits, and has done so in 20 games this season (including four out of his last six contests). Expect him to keep things rolling regarding his offensive production Friday against Milwaukee.
Dec 13, 2024
Returns to form in win
Allen produced 21 points (7-9 FG, 7-10 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 115-105 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
It was already Allen's 16th double-double of the year in just 26 appearances, and the star big man stepped up down low for the Cavaliers in the absence of frontcourt mate Evan Mobley (ankle) as he capitalized on a soft matchup against Washington on Friday. It was also Allen's first game with 20 points since a Nov. 24 win over Toronto, which is a much-needed jolt for fantasy managers, as Allen was averaging just 8.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks per contest over his prior six outings to Friday's action. Allen would figure to have additional rebounding and shot-blocking opportunities while Mobley remains sidelined, and he should be able to maintain a high field-goal percentage as opposing defenses focus on containing the dynamic backcourt duo of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.
Dec 9, 2024
Held to six points
Allen recorded six points (3-7 FG), seven rebounds and one assist over 29 minutes during Sunday's 122-113 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
This was a disappointing showing for Allen on a night in which the Cavaliers really needed him to step up -- Evan Mobley was unable to play in the second half due to an ankle sprain. Allen is trending in the wrong direction in December, posting averages of 8.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals over his last five games with just a single block to his name in that span.
Dec 7, 2024
Posts another double-double
Allen accumulated 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 116-102 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his first double-double since Nov. 27, and even though his numbers had been trending in the wrong direction of late, he's having another strong season as a reliable two-way threat in the Cavaliers' frontcourt. This was his 15th double-double of the season.
Dec 2, 2024
Hauls in 10 rebounds Sunday
Allen posted eight points (4-6 FG, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes during Sunday's 115-111 victory over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen matched frontcourt mate Evan Mobley with 10 boards in a tough matchup with Kristaps Porzingis and the Celtics Sunday, but he was able to post his 12th outing of the year with double-digit rebounds and continue to a solid string of play since Nov. 13. Over his last nine games, Allen is shooting a highly efficient 78.1 percent from the floor while averaging 15.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest. The 26-year-old star big man should continue to provide a high field-goal percentage with strong rebounding and a palatable free-throw percentage for fantasy managers going forward.
Nov 25, 2024
Double-double streak remains alive
Allen notched 23 points (10-14 FG, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Sunday's 122-108 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen was extremely efficient Sunday, missing just four of his 14 attempts from the field, and he also kept his double-double streak alive for the last six contests. The big man, who has scored at least 20 points in three of his last five appearances, is averaging 17.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game in that stretch.
Nov 20, 2024
Fourth straight double-double
Allen totaled 10 points (5-6 FG), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 120-117 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
It's the fourth straight double-double for the 26-year-old center and his 11th of the season in 16 games. Allen is posting his usual numbers for the league-leading Cavaliers, averaging 14.3 points, 10.9 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals to begin the campaign while shooting 66.9 percent from the floor.
Nov 18, 2024
Monster day on boards
Allen finished with 21 points (6-7 FG, 9-10 FT), 15 rebounds, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Sunday's 128-114 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Allen reached the 20-point threshold for a second straight matchup and did so with the help of nine made free throws, a new season high. He also turned in his best rebounding performance since Nov. 4 against the Bucks, coasting to his 10th double-double of the year and his third in as many games.
Nov 15, 2024
Fills box score vs. Chicago
Allen contributed 24 points (11-15 FG, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 144-126 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Allen registered a season-high 24 points Friday, which was third-most on the Cavs behind Donovan Mitchell (37) and Darius Garland (29). Allen managed to register his ninth double-double of the season and logged at least two blocks for the fifth time of the 2024-25 campaign. Allen is averaging 14.1 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals over 30.1 minutes per game this season.
Nov 15, 2024
Good to go Friday
Allen (lower leg) is available and starting in Friday's game against the Bulls, Sam Amico of HoopsWire.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will continue to play through a left lower leg strain in Friday's matchup. The big man should see an increased role in the offensive scheme with Evan Mobley (illness) ruled out.
Nov 14, 2024
Likely to play Friday
Allen (leg) is listed as probable for Friday's game versus the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to deal with a left lower leg strain but was able to suit up in Cleveland's previous outing against Philadelphia. Allen recorded 11 points, 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes against the 76ers.
Nov 13, 2024
Officially suiting up
Allen (leg) is active Wednesday versus Philadelphia, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Evan Mobley (illness) have both been cleared for action as Cleveland looks to remain undefeated. Allen is averaging just 6.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 23.5 minutes during his last two games, but the degree to which his injury is affecting his play is unclear.
Nov 13, 2024
Plans to play Wednesday
Allen (leg) is planning to play in Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen participated in Wednesday's morning shootaround, and the fact that he's planning to suit suggests he's more probable than questionable at this point. A final decision should be made closer to the 7:30 ET p.m. tipoff, but all signs point to the big suiting up for the Cavs on Wednesday.
Nov 13, 2024
Goes through shootaround
Allen (leg) participated in Wednesday's morning shootaround, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is currently listed as questionable for Wednesday, marking his first time on the injury report this campaign. His level of play has dropped off in recent games, so his leg strain could be a reason why. A final decision could come after warmups.
Nov 12, 2024
Questionable for Wednesday
Allen is questionable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers due to a left lower leg strain.
ANALYSIS
Allen finds himself on the injury report for the first time this season after two bad performances, so this may have been bothering him for a few days already. If Allen is sidelined Wednesday, Georges Niang, Dean Wade and Isaac Okoro could see increased playing time, while Tristan Thompson would be a candidate to enter the rotation.
Nov 8, 2024
Extends double-double streak
Allen registered 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-5 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and one block over 30 minutes in Friday's 136-117 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
It was a dominant victory for the undefeated Cavaliers on Friday, and despite leading by 41 points at halftime, Allen was able to play long enough to log his fourth-straight double-double and his seventh of the regular season. Allen is averaging 11.9 rebounds per game -- sixth-most in the NBA -- along with 14.9 points, 1.9 assists and 1.4 blocks over 30.5 minutes.
Nov 7, 2024
Third straight double-double
Allen racked up 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 131-122 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
It's the third straight double-double and sixth in nine games for Allen, as the 26-year-old center continues a strong start to the season. His 11.9 boards and 2.4 combined blocks and steals a game would be career high, as would his 68.8 percent shooting from the floor, and he's scored at least 14 points eight times to help fuel the Cavaliers' 9-0 record.
Nov 5, 2024
Nabs another double-double Monday
Allen closed Monday's 116-114 victory over the Bucks with 14 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 FT), 15 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block over 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen stuffed the stat sheet while racking up a team-high 15 rebounds and a season-high six assists. The big man was active on both ends of the floor while posting his fifth double-double of the 2024-25 campaign. Allen has been extremely efficient through eight regular-season games, during which he has shot 68.6 percent from and field. The 26-year-old has also averaged a double-double with 15.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals across 30.0 minutes per game. Allen's ability to stuff the stat sheet continues to make him a valuable option across fantasy formats.
Nov 3, 2024
Posts fourth double-double in win
Allen finished Saturday's 114-113 victory over the Bucks with 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Evan Mobley form an imposing front for any opponent, and both players are off to a phenomenal start. Allen has been able to combine his usual rebound acumen with a decent shot volume, resulting in some voluminous totals.
Nov 2, 2024
Muted scoring in win
Allen ended with two points (1-3 FG), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Friday's 120-109 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen had just three field-goal attempts while posting a season-low two points. Still, the 26-year-old big man has pulled down double-digit rebounds in three straight contests. Allen has also recorded at least one steal and one block in four of his six appearances this season.
Oct 31, 2024
Pulls down 17 boards Wednesday
Allen racked up 20 points (9-12 FG, 2-2 FT), 17 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 134-110 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The 17 rebounds were a season-high mark for the big man, and Allen has recorded three double-doubles in his last four appearances. Allen doesn't have a primary role on offense and could be considered the fourth-best scoring option for Cleveland -- behind Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland -- but he remains productive. Allen has scored at least 15 points in four games in a row and is averaging 18.8 points with 12.0 boards per game in that four-game span.
Oct 27, 2024
Perfect from field in win
Allen had 23 points (10-10 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 25 minutes during Saturday's 135-116 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen took full advantage of rookie Alex Sarr on Saturday, posting a season-high 23 points on perfect shooting from the field. The veteran center was productive during Cleveland's first week of the regular season, averaging 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 27.3 minutes across three outings.
Oct 19, 2024
Pulls down 16 rebounds
Allen recorded 25 points (11-16 FG, 3-3 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Friday's 139-137 preseason loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Allen led the Cavaliers in points and rebounds in this one, and the star center is ready for the start of the regular season against the Raptors on Wednesday. Allen might not be the first scoring option in a Cleveland offense led by Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, but there's no doubt that Allen should be one of the most productive big men in fantasy due to his impressive two-way ability. He racked up 44 double-doubles across 77 regular-season appearances in 2023-24.
Oct 16, 2024
Leading scorer vs. Detroit
Allen supplied 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 108-92 preseason loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen led both teams in scoring Wednesday and was second behind Paul Reed (nine) in rebounding. Allen averaged a career-high 16.5 points per game last year across 77 regular-season contests, and he reached a three-year, $91 million extension with the Cavs to keep the core of Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley intact. The Cavaliers' final preseason game is against the Bulls on Friday, though Allen and the rest of the starters could get some rest ahead of the regular-season opener against the Raptors on Oct. 23.
Oct 10, 2024
Strong showing in limited time
Allen notched 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and four assists across 15 minutes in Thursday's 129-117 preseason loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen was the only regular starter who saw the court in this preseason contest, as the coaching staff decided to rest Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley while Max Strus (hip) was ruled out. Allen is firmly entrenched as the Cavs' starting center and will remain a double-double threat whenever he steps on the floor once Cleveland's regular season begins against the Raptors on Oct. 23.
Oct 10, 2024
Ultimately suiting up Thursday
Despite a previous report, Allen (rest) will play in Thursday's preseason game against the Pacers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Although the Cavaliers initially planned to sit Allen alongside the rest of the team's starters, the 26-year-old big man will ultimately suit up Thursday. However, Allen likely won't receive a full workload until the regular season rolls around.
Oct 10, 2024
Sitting against Indiana
Allen won't play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Pacers, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will sit out Thursday's contest alongside the rest of the Cavaliers' starters. However, Allen is not dealing with any injury that should cause him to miss time moving forward.
Jul 31, 2024
Agrees to three-year extension
Allen agreed to a three-year, $91 million maximum extension with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded career-best marks in several areas during the 2023-24 season, averaging 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 31.7 minutes per game over 77 regular-season appearances. He's now under contract with the Cavaliers through the 2028-29 season and should maintain a prominent role with the team after averaging over 30 minutes per game over his first three full seasons with the club. Cleveland has now signed Allen, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley to extensions this summer, so the team's core should remain intact for years to come.
May 15, 2024
Remains out for Game 5
Allen (ribs) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 in Boston, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss an eighth straight game due to a right rib contusion. Donovan Mitchell (calf) and Caris LeVert (knee) are also out, so Cleveland's starting lineup for Wednesday's potential elimination game features Darius Garland, Isaac Okoro, Max Strus, Dean Wade and Evan Mobley.
May 14, 2024
Questionable for Game 5
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed the last seven games with a right rib contusion, but with the Cavaliers on the brink of elimination, they will hope to bring the big man back. If Allen is out, Evan Mobley will likely continue to start at center, with Isaac Okoro slotting in at power forward.
May 13, 2024
Remains out for Game 4
Allen (ribs) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a seventh straight game due to a right rib contusion. Evan Mobley will continue to start at center, while Isaac Okoro slots in at power forward. Donovan Mitchell (calf) is also out, so Caris LeVert will join the first five for the first time during the postseason. Allen's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Boston.
May 13, 2024
Gets up some shots
Allen (ribs) was spotted getting up some shots at Monday's shootaround, according to Cleveland reporter Carly Mascitti.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed the past six games for Cleveland and is listed as questionable for Monday's Game 4 against Boston. He was doing a lot of stationary shooting according to the media, but it's a sign that he's trending in the right direction.
May 12, 2024
Questionable once more
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed six consecutive contests with bruised ribs despite being listed as questionable leading up to each contest. While he's been sidelined, Evan Mobley has slid to the center spot and Isaac Okoro has entered the starting lineup. Should that trend continue, Tristan Thompson would be lined up to fill the backup center role.
May 11, 2024
Ruled out for Game 3
Allen (ribs) is out for Saturday's Game 3 against the Celtics, Evan Dammarell of Right Down Euclid reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has yet to see the court in the series against the Celtics, and he'll aim to be available for the Game 4 matchup on Monday. This means Evan Mobley will remain at center while Isaac Okoro should also remain in the starting lineup.
May 10, 2024
Gets another questionable tag
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Saturday's Game 3 against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed five straight games and was listed as questionable ahead of each of them, so his current status doesn't provide increased optimism. The Cavaliers were surprisingly able to even the series with a Game 2 victory Thursday, and the potential return of their star big man would be another major momentum shift, especially with Kristaps Porzingis (calf) expected to be sidelined for at least a few more games. However, if Allen remains sidelined, Isaac Okoro would likely draw another start.
May 9, 2024
Ruled out for Game 2
Allen (ribs) is out for Thursday's Game 2 against the Celtics, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't participate in Thursday's morning shootaround, so his chances of playing in Game 2 were always going to be slim. Isaac Okoro will keep his place in the starting unit as a result, whereas Allen will aim to recover enough to play in Game 3 of the series, scheduled for Saturday.
May 9, 2024
Doesn't participate in shootaround
Allen (ribs), who is listed as questionable, did not participate in morning shootaround in advance of Thursday's Game 2 against the Celtics, Bobby Manning of CLNS Media reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen's rib injury has cost him four consecutive games, and it appears a fifth is on the horizon. We may not get official confirmation on the center's status until closer to tipoff, but his lack of participation in shootaround is a discouraging sign. If he remains out, Evan Mobley should continue serving as the Cavaliers' center, while Max Strus and Isaac Okoro play the two forward spots.
May 8, 2024
Listed as questionable again
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Thursday's Game 2 against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Despite a negative in-game report from TNT's broadcast saying Allen wasn't able to do much in recent practices and was having trouble sleeping due to the rib injury, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said after the Game 1 loss that the Cavaliers' starting center is showing signs of progress, per Bobby Manning of CLNS. Allen has missed four straight games and was listed as questionable ahead of each contest, so his current status doesn't provide much optimism.
May 7, 2024
Won't play Tuesday
Allen (ribs) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss his fourth straight contest Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out due to a right rib contusion. Isaac Okoro will continue to start in his absence. Allen's next chance to suit up is Game 2 on Thursday.
May 6, 2024
Iffy for Game 1
Allen (ribs) is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes through the first four games of Cleveland's opening-round series versus the Magic. However, after taking a shot to the ribs from Franz Wagner, the Cavaliers' starting center was sidelined for the final three matchups. Allen was also listed as questionable ahead of all the games he missed, so the tag doesn't provide much optimism heading into the Eastern Conference Semifinals. If Allen gets the green light, he'll look to take advantage of a frontcourt that'll be without Kristaps Porzingis (calf).
May 5, 2024
Remains out for Game 7
Allen (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out and will miss a third straight game due to a right rib contusion. Marcus Morris started Cleveland's Game 6 loss, but Isaac Okoro will move back into the lineup for Game 7, while Evan Mobley operates as the primary center.
May 4, 2024
Questionable for Game 7
Allen (ribs) is questionable to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed the last two games of the series while dealing with a rib injury, and the questionable tag doesn't shed a lot of light regarding his potential availability for the series finale. The Cavaliers need Allen to be at his best, though, as he's an influential piece of the team on both ends of the court. Allen is averaging 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in the first-round series against Orlando through four appearances.
May 3, 2024
Won't play Friday
Allen (ribs) is out for Friday's Game 6 against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday while dealing with a right rib contusion. In his absence, Marcus Morris will enter the starting lineup.
May 3, 2024
Present at shootaround
Allen (ribs), who's listed as questionable for Friday's Game 6 against the Magic, was present during Cleveland's morning shootaround, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was in uniform, but it's unclear how active he was during the shootaround. The big man was stellar through the first four matchups of the series and averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks, but he was sidelined for the Cavaliers' Game 5 win due to a rib injury he sustained following a collision with Franz Wagner in Game 4. If Allen is sidelined again, Isaac Okoro would likely remain in the starting lineup, while Evan Mobley operates as the primary center again.
May 2, 2024
Officially deemed questionable
Allen (ribs) is listed as questionable for Friday's Game 6 against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen is in danger of missing his second straight contest Friday due to a right rib contusion. If the 25-year-old big man is ultimately ruled out, Isaac Okoro will likely draw another start.
May 2, 2024
Doesn't practice Thursday
Allen (ribs) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed Tuesday's Game 5 against the Magic due to a right rib contusion. While Allen's absence from practice is a bad sign of his availability for Game 6 on Friday, fantasy managers should look out for an official injury report.
Apr 30, 2024
Ruled out for Game 5
Allen (ribs) won't play in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Magic, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to a right rib contusion he suffered in Game 4. Isaac Okoro will replace him in the starting lineup, with Damian Jones and Tristan Thompson candidates to receive increased playing time off the bench. Allen's next chance to suit up is Game 6 on Friday.
Apr 30, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Allen is questionable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Magic due to a right rib contusion.
ANALYSIS
Allen is a late addition to the injury report, and his availability is in jeopardy for the critical Game 5 in Cleveland. The big man has arguably been the MVP for the Cavaliers in the opening-round series, as he's averaged 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes over the first four matchups. After dominating Jonathan Isaac in the first two games, Orlando countered by moving Wendell Carter back into the starting lineup. While the Magic won the last two games with Carter as a starter, Allen has still been able to produce offensively, though his rebounding numbers haven't been as prolific as they were to start the series.
Apr 28, 2024
Near double-double
Allen produced 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-7 FT), nine rebounds and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 112-89 loss to the Magic in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
ANALYSIS
Allen has arguably been the MVP for Cleveland to start the postseason, averaging 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes per game through the first four matchups against Orlando. The big man's 21 points were his most during the opening-round series thus far, but after grabbing 38 rebounds through the first two games in Cleveland, Allen accumulated just 17 boards across two losses in Orlando.
Apr 26, 2024
Decent in Game 3 blowout loss
Allen ended with 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds and one block over 24 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 loss to the Magic in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference's first round.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of two Cavaliers who reached the 15-point plateau in this blowout loss, with Caris LeVert being the other, and although this ended up being one of Cleveland's worst performances of the campaign, Allen found a way to deliver a decent stat line. The big man will aim to continue making a two-way impact in Game 4 of the series on Saturday.
Apr 22, 2024
Owns boards in 20-rebound game
Allen finished with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-8 FT), 20 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 39 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.
ANALYSIS
Allen did it all to help Cleveland take a commanding 2-0 series lead, leading all players in Monday's contest in rebounds while pacing the Cavaliers in blocks to go along with a pair of steals in a double-double performance. Allen has owned the glass over the first two games of the opening-round series, recording at least 18 rebounds and a double-double in both contests.
Apr 20, 2024
Delivers monster double-double
Allen finished Saturday's 97-83 victory over the Magic in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Evan Mobley formed a devastating tandem in the frontcourt, and Allen made his presence felt in the glass due to his length and tenacity defensively. Allen recorded his fifth double-double over his last six appearances, and the big man should continue to perform at a high level in a favorable matchup, regardless if he has to deal with Jonathan Isaac or Wendell Carter. Allen should remain as the starting center for Game 2 on Monday.
Apr 8, 2024
Double-double vs. Mavericks
Allen had 17 points (6-12 FG, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 35 minutes during Sunday's 120-118 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his 40th double-double of the season Sunday, and he has reached that stat line in three of his last four games. He's averaging a career-high 16.4 points per game this season, and his 62.7 percent shooting clip ranks fifth in the NBA. Since the All-Star break, Allen is averaging 17.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists over 33.6 minutes per game.
Apr 6, 2024
Records double-double
Allen accumulated 12 points (6-12 FG), 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 116-97 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Another game, another double-double for Allen, as the talented big man was able to reward fantasy owners who trusted him in a difficult matchup against Anthony Davis. Allen was unable to deliver the same numbers he's been able to post in past contests, but at least he recorded a double-double for the sixth time across his last 10 appearances.
Apr 4, 2024
Posts 20 points in loss
Allen finished with 20 points (9-15 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 122-101 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
It's been a month since we've seen an explosive scoring total from Allen, but he's still remarkably consistent. He's notched a double-double in five of his last 10 games, and is averaging 18.6 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists over that span.
Apr 3, 2024
Records double-double in victory
Allen totaled 21 points (8-11 FG, 5-6 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 129-113 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Evan Mobley took care of Utah's frontcourt with ease ad out-rebounded the Jazz, 32-26. The standout center is suffering through some variance with his stat lines, but he's managed three0double-doubles over his past six games.
Mar 30, 2024
Impressive at both ends
Allen finished with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists over 26 minutes during Friday's 117-114 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded a double-double for the fourth time across his last six appearances, and the big man continues to leave his mark as a reliable two-way presence for Cleveland. Allen has also enjoyed a sizable uptick in his consistency as a scoring threat, putting up double-digit points in all but two of his appearances since the beginning of March.
Mar 26, 2024
Double-double against Charlotte
Allen contributed 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Monday's 115-92 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
It's the 36th double-double of the season for Allen, as he extends his career high in that category. Eight of them have come in the last 12 games for the 25-year-old center, a stretch in which he's averaged 18.2 points, 12.0 boards, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks while shooting 60.0 percent from the floor. With Donovan Mitchell (nose) still lacking a timeline for his return, other Cavaliers like Allen will need to keep stepping up to keep the team out of the Play-In Tournament -- Cleveland is currently third in the Eastern Conference at 44-28, but only 4.5 games ahead of seventh-place Miami.

Plays 22 minutes Sunday
Allen contributed nine points (3-7 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 22 minutes during Sunday's 121-84 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Allen only logged 22 minutes due to the nature of the blowout loss. To say that the Cavaliers have been struggling badly on offense without Donovan Mitchell (nose) would be an understatement at this point, but Sunday's performance was a new low for them, as they failed to reach the 90-point plateau for the first time in the entire campaign. Look for Allen to handle his regular workload when the Cavs take on the Hornets on Monday.
Mar 23, 2024
Posts double-double
Allen totaled 15 points (5-10 FG, 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists and one block across 33 minutes during Friday's 104-91 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Allen wasn't particularly efficient from the field -- at least for his standards, as he's made 62.7 percent of his shots this season -- but the fact that he suffered a hand injury midway through Friday's game might have played a role in that. Regardless, Allen still posted a double-double, and he's now reached that feat in four of his last six games. Allen is averaging 18.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game since the beginning of March.
Mar 22, 2024
Returns to play
Allen (hand) checked into Friday's game against Minnesota during the third quarter, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Allen has been cleared to re-enter Friday's clash. His hand was taped up when he returned, so the laceration may be something to monitor over the next few days.
Mar 22, 2024
Picks up hand injury
Allen is probable to return to Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to a right hand laceration, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't start the second half, but he's expected to return to Friday's action at some point. He came out of the locker room shortly after the third quarter began and reported to the bench, per Fedor.

Notches third 20-20 game of career
Allen finished Wednesday's 107-104 loss to the Heat with 25 points (10-13 FG, 5-6 FT), 20 rebounds and three assists over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen's three 20-20 games puts him third in that category in Cavaliers' franchise history. It also gave him his 34rd double-double of the season, which ranks him 13th in the NBA. Since the All-Star break, Allen is averaging 18.6 points on 58.8 percent shooting, 11.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 blocks over 35.0 minutes per game.
Mar 19, 2024
Hits for 23 against Pacers
Allen accumulated 23 points (8-12 FG, 7-8 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 108-103 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old center topped 20 points for the first time in five games while just missing his 34th double-double of the season. Allen has stepped up a bit in March while Donovan Mitchell (nose) has had trouble staying on the court, and over 10 games on the month the big man is averaging 17.9 points, 11.6 boards, 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks while shooting 56.0 percent from the floor.
Mar 14, 2024
New career high in double-doubles
Allen accumulated 17 points (8-13 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-95 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The double-double was the 33rd of the season for Allen, a new career high, and his fifth in the last six games. The 25-year-old center is averaging 19.8 points, 13.0 boards, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks over that stretch while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor, but with Donovan Mitchell now back in the lineup, Allen likely won't need to carry as much of the scoring load for the Cavs.
Mar 9, 2024
Career-best 33 points in OT win
Allen produced 33 points (9-19 FG, 15-21 FT), 18 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals across 46 minutes during Friday's 113-104 overtime victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old center set a new career scoring high, including a career-best 15 made free throws, and Allen carried Cleveland across the finish line by scoring 10 of his points in OT after Ruby Gobert had fouled out for Minnesota. Allen has reeled off three straight double-doubles, giving him 31 on the season -- one short of tying his career high. In 10 games since the All-Star break, he's averaging 19.3 points, 11.5 boards, 2.6 assists and 1.1 blocks while shooting 55.7 percent from the floor.
Mar 7, 2024
Monster double-double in loss
Allen supplied 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists and one block across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen had tons of space in the paint since Evan Mobley (ankle) was sidelined, and that reflected immediately in his rebounding numbers, as the 19 boards represented his second-highest mark of the campaign. Allen has been playing well of late, and even though he only has four double-doubles over his last nine games since the end of the All-Star break, he's still averaging a decent 17.8 points with 10.8 rebounds per contest in that stretch.
Mar 6, 2024
Double-double in Tuesday's win
Allen notched 21 points (9-16 FG, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 105-104 victory over Boston.
ANALYSIS
It's Allen's seventh double-double in the last 12 games and 29th of the season, leaving him just three short of tying his career high. Over that 12-game stretch, the 25-year-old center is averaging 17.3 points, 10.3 boards, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks while shooting 59.6 percent from the floor. With Evan Mobley (ankle) potentially facing an extended absence, Allen's usage in the Cavs' frontcourt could get boosted even further.
Mar 4, 2024
Flirts with triple-double
Allen produced 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 107-98 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Allen is an underrated playmaker and his passing ability was on full display Sunday. For the 10th time of his career, he registered at least six assists. Allen was coming off a couple quiet performances against the Pistons and Bulls, so his fantasy managers will be relieved to see him get back on track.
Feb 26, 2024
Double-doubles with five assists
Allen finished Sunday's 114-105 victory over Washington with 22 points (11-18 FG, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one block in 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen had one of his busiest games of the season from an offensive perspective, as his 18 field goal attempts were close to tying his season-high mark, but he didn't forget about his contributions on the other end of the court. This was Allen's seventh double-double across 11 February appearances, and the big man is averaging 18.3 points with 10.6 boards per contest in that stretch.
Feb 24, 2024
Hits for 24 against Sixers
Allen racked up a team-high 24 points (10-16 FG, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds and one block in 36 minutes during Friday's 104-97 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
It was the 25-year-old center's best scoring performance since Feb. 3, when he dropped 26 points on the Spurs, but Allen saw his five-game double-double streak narrowly come to an end. In 10 February contests, he's averaging 17.9 points, 10.5 boards, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks while shooting 62.2 percent from the floor.
Feb 22, 2024
Top rebounder in double-double
Allen ended with 18 points (6-10 FG, 6-8 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist over 34 minutes in Thursday's 116-109 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in Thursday's contest in rebounds while tallying a team-high-tying point total and ending as one of two players with a double-double in a balanced performance. Allen, who also added a team-high-tying pair of steals, has hauled in 10 or more boards in five straight games and in 29 appearances this season. He has posted at least 18 points in three of his last four contests.
Feb 11, 2024
Owns glass in double-double showing
Allen closed with 18 points (9-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists and one block across 30 minutes during Saturday's 119-95 victory over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in Saturday's game in rebounds while ending as one of three Cavaliers players with 15 or more points in a well-rounded double-double performance. Allen has hauled in 15 or more boards in seven games this season, adding 15 or more points in all seven of those outings. He has now recorded a double-double in eight of his last 10 appearances.
Feb 9, 2024
Impressive at both ends Thursday
Allen produced 14 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 30 minutes during Thursday's 118-95 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen made his presence felt at both ends of the court Thursday en route to recording his 15th double-double over his last 18 outings since the beginning of January. One of the most consistent two-way players in The Association, Allen is averaging 17.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 blocks per contest in that 18-game stretch.
Feb 5, 2024
Will play Monday
Allen (ankle) is active for Monday's game against Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Darius Garland (knee) have both been cleared for action -- bringing Cleveland's rotation to full strength. Allen is averaging 18.0 points and 12.0 rebounds on 61.0 percent shooting across his last three contests.
Feb 4, 2024
Tagged as questionable
Allen is questionable to play Monday versus Brooklyn due to left ankle soreness, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen boomed for 26 points and 16 rebounds in a 31-minute workload during Saturday's win over San Antonio after being listed with the same injury designation pregame. The-25 year-old is firmly on track to play, but his status will need to be monitored.
Feb 4, 2024
Posts double-double in victory
Allen totaled 26 points (12-18 FG, 2-2 FT) and 16 rebounds across 31 minutes during Saturday's 117-101 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Allen was on the injury report with a recurring ankle injury before the contest, but he put in 31 minutes of work in the decisive win over the Spurs. The big men will have a day of rest before facing Domantas Sabonis and the Kings, and they'll need a sold frontcourt to meet the challenge. Both Allen and Evan Mobley are battling nagging injuries, so their status should be monitored to get ahead of a night off for injury management.
Feb 3, 2024
Expected to play Saturday
Allen (ankle) will be available for Saturday's game against San Antonio barring a setback during pre-game warmups, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen exited Thursday's game against the Grizzlies after sustaining a left ankle injury and did not return. However, it appears he's avoided serious injury and won't have to miss any time. Prior to the injury, Allen had recorded a double-double in 16 consecutive appearances.
Feb 3, 2024
Present at shootaround
Allen (ankle) is participating in Cleveland's morning shootaround in advance of Saturday's game against the Spurs, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen partaking in Cleveland's normal gameday routine bodes well for his availability Saturday, although he remains questionable to play. Evan Mobley (rest/knee) is officially active, but he would likely remain on a minutes restriction even if Allen cannot suit up.
Feb 2, 2024
Listed as questionable for Saturday
Allen (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Allen tweaked his left ankle in the third quarter of Thursday's win over Memphis and never returned. If he's ruled out Saturday, Damian Jones would be the only true center available for Cleveland, so Evan Mobley and Dean Wade may be forced to play as a small-ball five against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.
Feb 1, 2024
Doubtful to return
Allen is doubtful to return to Thursday's game against Memphis, Joe Gabriele of the Cavaliers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen suffered the ankle injury at the beginning of the third quarter and looked very uncomfortable. If his night is over as expected, he'll finish with 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 21 minutes. With Evan Mobley resting Thursday, the Cavaliers will turn to Damian Jones.
Feb 1, 2024
Posts another double-double
Allen finished Wednesday's 128-121 win over Detroit with 14 points (7-10 FG), 11 rebounds, one block and one steal over 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen powered through an illness and had the tough task of dealing with Jalen Duren on both ends of the court, but he powered through it and delivered another double-double. It was his 16th consecutive game reaching that tally, and he's among the league leaders in that department with 21 double-doubles across 40 appearances this season. He should have a decent shot at keeping that streak alive against the Grizzlies on Thursday.
Jan 31, 2024
Starting Wednesday
Allen (illness) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Allen is feeling a little ill, but he'll power through and get out there for a favorable matchup against the Pistons. Feel free to get him active.
Jan 31, 2024
Questionable for Wednesday
Allen is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons due to illness.
ANALYSIS
Allen was a late addition to the injury report. If he's unable to suit up Wednesday, Evan Mobley would likely slide over to center which would open up more minutes for guys like Dean Wade and Georges Niang.
Jan 30, 2024
Double-double streak at 15
Allen finished Monday's 118-108 victory over the Clippers with 20 points (6-9 FG, 8-11 FT), 17 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After a bumpy start to the campaign, the 25-year-old center has reeled off 15 straight double-doubles, averaging 18.9 points, 14.3 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 steals over that stretch while shooting 62.0 percent from the floor. Allen's overall numbers are still within his usual range, but he appears headed for a breakout campaign if he can stay healthy.
Jan 27, 2024
Posts solid double-double
Allen contributed 24 points (9-20 FG, 6-7 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Friday's 112-100 victory over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't have his most efficient performance from the field Friday, but he had plenty of shot volume and posted a 14th consecutive double-double as the Cavaliers returned to the win column. During his streak of double-doubles, he's topped 20 points on six occasions while securing at least 15 rebounds in four appearances.
Jan 25, 2024
Booms on big volume
Allen amassed 21 points (10-19 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds and five assists across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 126-116 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Notching at least five assists for the seventh time this season, Allen's versatile production continues, with Wednesday also marking his eighth 20-point game of the season. Allen's workload is at an all-time high, fueling a fringe top-10 fantasy campaign at the center position.
Jan 22, 2024
Extends double-double streak to 12
Allen registered 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 27 minutes during Monday's 126-99 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
15 of Allen's 17 double-doubles this season have come since Dec. 2, and his 12-game streak started Dec. 16 against the Hawks. Despite the Cavs being without Darius Garland (jaw) and Evan Mobley (knee) for a large stretch of the season, the team are winners of eight straight games after Monday's game, thanks in large part to the production of Allen. Some underestimated value he's brought as of late is his free throw shooting, which is at 91.2 percent for the month of January.
Jan 18, 2024
Double-double streak at 10
Allen produced 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one block across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 135-95 victory over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old center continues to crash the glass, recording his 10th straight double-double and 15th of the season. Allen is averaging 19.0 points, 14.9 boards, 4.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals during that stretch, and the 2017 first-round pick has grown into a bigger role in the Cleveland frontcourt while Evan Mobley (knee) remains sidelined.
Jan 16, 2024
Produces at both ends Monday
Allen accumulated 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 109-91 victory over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't have many touches on offense, but he made the most of his scoring opportunities en route to posting his ninth consecutive double-double. The big man was active defensively as well, notching multiple blocks and/or steals for the sixth time in that span. Allen might hold a secondary role on offense for the Cavaliers, but he's still appealing in fantasy due to his two-way play and his durability, as well as his stat-filling ability that makes him extremely valuable in category-based formats. Allen is averaging 16.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals per game since the start of January.
Jan 11, 2024
Protect the paint in double-double
Allen racked up 12 points (3-5 FG, 6-6 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals in 38 minutes during Thursday's 111-102 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in Thursday's contest in blocks while reeling in a team-high-tying rebound mark and ending as one of five Cavaliers with a double-digit point total in a double-double performance. Allen has recorded a double-double in eight straight contests while posting his second game of the season with four or more blocks.
Jan 7, 2024
Owns the glass in double-double
Allen chipped in 29 points (11-19 FG, 7-7 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes during Sunday's 117-115 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in Sunday's contest in rebounds and scoring while also finishing a perfect mark from the free throw line to pace Cleveland to a close victory. Allen has hauled in 15 or more rebounds in four games this year, adding 20 or more points in two of those outings.
Jan 3, 2024
Nears 20 rebounds in double-double
Allen amassed 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 FT), 19 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 140-101 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in Wednesday's contest in rebounds and assists while ending as one six Cavaliers with a double-digit point total in a well-rounded double-double performance. Allen has recorded 10 or more rebounds in 11 games this season, hauling in 17 or more boards three times. Allen has tallied a double-double in five straight outings for Cleveland.
Jan 1, 2024
Top rebounder in double-double
Allen tallied 16 points (5-11 FG, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one steal over 34 minutes in Monday's 124-121 loss to Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all Raptors in rebounds while finishing as one of five players with a double-digit point total en route to a double-double performance. Allen has hauled in 10 or more boards in 11 games this season, tallying a double-double in nine of those outings.
Dec 30, 2023
Scores career-high 30 points
Allen chipped in 30 points (15-17 FG), 12 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 40 minutes during Friday's 119-111 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
The Cavaliers have been extremely depleted in recent weeks due to the injuries of key players such as Darius Garland (jaw) and Evan Mobley (knee), a situation that has forced Allen to embrace a more significant role on offense. The big man has stepped up when the team has needed him, however, and he's on a run of seven straight games with double-digit points, surpassing the 15-point plateau five times in that span. Allen should remain an elite fantasy alternative as long as he keeps seeing enough touches on offense, but even if that's not the case, he does enough on both ends to remain a regular starter regardless of the format.
Dec 28, 2023
Dominates on glass Wednesday
Allen ended Wednesday's 113-110 victory over the Mavericks with 24 points (9-17 FG, 6-6 FT), 23 rebounds, six assists and two steals in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in the contest in rebounds, falling one short of his career-high mark. The big man finished with his second straight double and his seventh overall this season. Allen has also surprisingly been excelling as a playmaker of late, totaling 13 assists over his past two games. He had been averaging just 2.3 dimes per contest prior to the surge.
Dec 24, 2023
Hangs 19-17-7 on Chicago
Allen closed Saturday's 109-95 victory over the Bulls with 19 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-10 FT), 17 rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen thrived under the added pressure of Cleveland's top four scorers being inactive Saturday. Notching a season-high seven assists, mostly through DHOs and short-roll action, Allen was successful in getting open looks for his teammates while also racking up eight offensive rebounds and scoring effectively himself. His ability to facilitate is a huge swing factor for Cleveland's offensive ceiling, as overcoming a total lack of floor spacing with crisp decision-making is what unlocks dynamic performance from the Cavaliers' frontcourt.
Dec 17, 2023
Shreds Atlanta in win
Allen closed Saturday's 127-119 victory over the Hawks with 25 points (12-14 FG, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen burst loose for 17 points in the first quarter, finishing with a monster double-double and capitalizing on Atlanta playing without Clint Capela (knee) and Jalen Johnson (wrist). He and Donovan Mitchell have strong pick-and-roll chemistry ,so the loss of Darius Garland (jaw) shouldn't be damaging to Allen's fantasy stock, especially with the absence of Evan Mobley (knee) shifting sizable usage to Allen.
Dec 15, 2023
Nears double-double Thursday
Allen ended Thursday's 116-107 loss to the Celtics with eight points (4-7 FG), 10 rebounds and three assists over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
While Allen hauled in double-digit rebounds during Thursday's defeat, he was held below 10 points for the fourth time in his last five outings and was unable to add another double-double to his resume. Across his last five appearances, the center has averaged 8.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 26.8 minutes per game.
Dec 12, 2023
Fouls out in 15 minutes
Allen notched four points (2-3 FG), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 104-94 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
This was the first time this season that Allen fouled out, and he's normally pretty good about keeping them in check. For his career, he averages 2.1 fouls per game. Evan Mobley (knee) missed his second straight game Monday which put more pressure on Allen, but the Cavaliers were forced to turn to Tristan Thompson with Allen limited to just 15 minutes.
Dec 1, 2023
Double-double in Thursday's loss
Allen amassed 12 points (6-9 FG), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 38 minutes during Thursday's 103-95 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old center has just three double-doubles on the season, but they've all come in the last six contests as Allen finally appears back in form after an ankle injury cost him the first five games of 2023-24. Over that six-game stretch, he's averaging 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks while shooting 71.2 percent from the floor and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Nov 26, 2023
Posts second double-double
Allen ended Saturday's 121-115 loss to the Lakers with 21 points (9-12 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen struggled mightily against Miami in his previous game, registering just four points and four boards in 23 minutes. He bounced back nicely Saturday against the Lakers, leading Cleveland with a season-high 14 boards and finishing second on the team with 21 points. The double-double was his second in his past three contests, and his two highest minute totals (35 and 37, respectively) have come in those performances. Allen had been operating on a minutes limit earlier in the season, but it appears that restriction has been lifted, which should boost the big man's fantasy value moving forward.
Nov 22, 2023
Delivers double-double
Allen racked up 26 points (12-20 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 122-119 overtime win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
The big man has been a consistent two-way threat for the Cavaliers this season and has made his presence felt on both ends of the court, but this was the first time he recorded a double-double. He achieved that feat 32 times during the 2022-23 campaign, and he should remain a valuable asset in most formats, particularly in category-based leagues.
Nov 18, 2023
Five rejections against Pistons
Allen finished with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and five blocks in 32 minutes during Friday's 108-100 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old center has yet to record a double-double in seven games since missing the beginning of the season with an ankle injury, but Allen has begun to round into form on the defensive end, recording eight blocks over the last two contests. Friday was also the first time in 2023-24 he played 30 or more minutes, and as he returns to his usual workload, the rebounds and double-doubles should follow.
Nov 12, 2023
Mediocre in pivotal win
Allen supplied 12 points (2-6 FG, 8-9 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 28 minutes during Saturday's 118-110 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Fueled by converting at the free-throw line, Allen's 12 points on 10 true shot attempts is good efficiency. The biggest storyline is Allen's minutes restriction, which seems to be set around the 28-minute mark. Even with the cap, the 25-year-old is capable of larger performances than Saturday, but his overall ceiling is limited until the restriction is lifted.
Nov 11, 2023
Operating on minutes restriction
Allen will be on a minute restriction for the foreseeable future, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. He has played three games since returning from an ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Allen logged 26 and 28 minutes in Cleveland's prior two contests, which is likely the range that his minutes will fall in moving forward. Although it's unclear if Allen's ankle reacted poorly to his return, coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that the minutes restriction will be in place for an undetermined amount of time.
Nov 4, 2023
Strong outing in limited minutes
Allen (ankle) posted 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 21 minutes in Friday's 121-116 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen picked up four fouls in the contest, but the Cavaliers may have been planning to limit his minutes anyway since he was making his season debut Friday after missing the team's first five games while recovering from an ankle sprain. Cleveland immediately reinserted Allen into the starting five at center, shifting Evan Mobley over to power forward while Isaac Okoro shifted to the bench. Assuming he's able to avoid foul trouble, Allen could see his minutes tick up a bit in Sunday's game against the Warriors.
Nov 3, 2023
Set to make season debut
Allen (ankle) is in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Pacers, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday after missing the first five games of the season with an ankle injury. He will start alongside Evan Mobley in the frontcourt.
Nov 3, 2023
Participates in shootaround
Allen (ankle) took part in the Cavaliers' morning shootaround Friday, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Allen hasn't yet made his season debut due to a bone bruise in his left ankle, but he's questionable for Friday's matchup against the Pacers. While his availability for the game is still up in the air, his participation in the team's shootaround is certainly encouraging.
Nov 2, 2023
Questionable Friday
Allen (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a bone bruise in his left ankle. However, his return to practice Wednesday, along with an initial question status instead of being immediately ruled out, is a good sign of his availability Friday.
Nov 1, 2023
Ruled out Wednesday
Allen (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
This will be the fifth straight game on the sidelines for Allen. He was able to practice on Monday, so his lack of availability Wednesday will be frustrating for his fantasy managers. His next chance to play will be Friday against the Pacers.
Oct 30, 2023
Won't play Tuesday
Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a fourth straight game to start the season due to a bone bruise on his left ankle. However, the veteran center was able to practice Monday, so there's optimism he could make his season debut Wednesday in New York. In Allen's absence, Evan Mobley will likely start at center again, while Damian Jones and Tristan Thompson operate as backups.
Oct 30, 2023
Goes through practice
Allen (ankle) was able to practice Monday, Steve Popper of Newsday Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
This bodes well for Allen's status ahead of Tuesday's game against the Knicks. Allen has missed the opening three games of the season, but his potential return alongside Evan Mobley would provide a massive boost on both ends of the floor.
Oct 28, 2023
Still out Saturday
Allen (ankle) won't play in Saturday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen's absence streak will extend to three games to start the season due to a left ankle bone bruise. His next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with the Knicks, but there is no timetable for his return.
Oct 26, 2023
Remains sidelined Friday
Allen (ankle) is out for Friday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss his second straight game to start due to a left ankle bone bruise. His next chance to suit up will be Saturday's matchup with Indiana, although there is no timetable for his return. Evan Mobley has filled in at center, with Isaac Okoro starting at power forward in Allen's absence.
Oct 24, 2023
Out Wednesday
Allen (ankle) will miss Wednesday's regular season opener against Brooklyn, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been sidelined since Oct. 7 due to a left ankle bone bruise. There has been little word on Allen's ramp up at practice, making his status for Friday's game against Oklahoma City murky. Evan Mobley should slide down and receive the lion's share of work at center, with Damian Jones spelling him.
Oct 23, 2023
Misses practice Monday
Allen (ankle) did not practice on Monday, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach J.B. Bickerstaff said he was unsure if Allen would be able to practice Tuesday, and that's notable because he wants his center to get in a practice before clearing him to play. We should have more information on Allen's status for Opening Night against the Nets on Wednesday prior to Tuesday's practice. If Allen is unable to play, we could see Evan Mobley shift to center with guys like Georges Niang and Dean Wade stepping up.
Oct 20, 2023
Out again Friday
Allen (ankle) won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Pacers, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to miss time due to an ankle injury, and his status for the regular-season opener against the Nets on Oct. 25 is under question. If Allen remains out, Damian Jones and Tristan Thompson would be candidates for increased minutes, but Evan Mobley may start at center.
Oct 16, 2023
Won't play Monday
Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Israeli club Maccabi Ra'anana, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is still dealing with an ankle injury and will rest Monday, along with the rest of Cleveland's starters. The Cavaliers announced Oct. 7 that Allen would be re-evaluated in two weeks, so it's unclear whether he'll be available for Friday's preseason finale. However, if he's healthy by then, it's possible that he sees a fairly normal workload since the Cavaliers plan to use the first three quarters of that matchup as a dress rehearsal for the regular season.
Oct 7, 2023
Out at least two weeks
Allen will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a left ankle bone bruise, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will likely miss the remainder of the preseason due to his ankle injury, but could return for the team's regular-season opener against the Nets on Oct. 25. Evan Mobley, Tristan Thompson and Damian Jones are candidates to receive extended minutes in Allen's absence.
Apr 15, 2023
Double-doubles in Game 1 loss
Allen ended with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and four assists across 43 minutes during Saturday's 101-97 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Allen was efficient from the field and grabbed a game-high 14 boards en route to a double-double in Cleveland's first playoff contest. The veteran big man has never been a prolific offensive producer, but the Cavaliers will need better rim protection from Allen in Game 2 on Tuesday to avoid an 0-2 hole.
Apr 9, 2023
Plays just 12 minutes
Allen accumulated four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 12 minutes during Sunday's 106-95 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Along with Evan Mobley, Allen didn't play after the first quarter. Both members of Cleveland's starting front court played 12 minutes before calling it a day. Allen missed seven of the Cavaliers' final 13 games as he battled through eye and groin injuries. Despite the limited game time, Cleveland's center still averaged 32.4 minutes when he did suit up. Allen will matchup with Mitchell Robinson and the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs.
Apr 9, 2023
Starting against CHA
Allen (groin) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was uncertain for Sunday since the Cavaliers have already locked up the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, but the coaching staff decided to give him a run considering the Cavs won't start their playoff run until the following weekend. Allen will start alongside Evan Mobley in the frontcourt.
Apr 8, 2023
Uncertain for Sunday
Allen (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been dealing with a lingering groin issue and has appeared in just five of the Cavaliers' last 12 games because of it. Considering Cleveland is locked into the No. 4 seed and has already listed both Darius Garland (leg) and Donovan Mitchell (finger) as out for the contest, it wouldn't be surprising to see Allen join them on the sidelines. If he ends up sitting, Evan Mobley, Dean Wade and Robin Lopez could see more action at center.
Apr 5, 2023
Won't play against Orlando
Allen is out for Thursday's game versus the Magic due to a right groin strain.
ANALYSIS
With Allen dealing with a nagging groin injury, the Cavaliers don't need to play him while they are already locked into the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Robin Lopez will likely start at center in his absence, with Evan Mobley (rest) also out. Allen's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Charlotte, although he could sit that game too.
Apr 2, 2023
Available Sunday
Allen (groin) will play Sunday against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup due to his groin injury, but he'll return from his two-game absence against Indiana. Lamar Stevens will presumably revert to a bench role with Allen back in action.
Apr 1, 2023
Tabbed as questionable for Sunday
Allen (groin) is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen's questionable tag is an upgrade in status compared to the doubtful status he held prior to the previous game versus the Knicks. Should Allen gain clearance for his return to action, Lamar Stevens would likely shift back to a bench role for Cleveland.
Mar 31, 2023
Out Friday
Allen (groin) remains out for Friday's matchup against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Allen will sit out a second consecutive game while recovering from a strained right groin. In his absence, Lamar Stevens will shift into the lineup again, and Evan Mobley will move to center.
Mar 30, 2023
Doubtful Friday
Allen (groin) is doubtful for Friday's matchup against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
A strained right groin is expected to keep the center shelved for a second straight game. Lamar Stevens should draw another start at power forward while Evan Mobley shifts to center.
Mar 30, 2023
Partially practices Thursday
Allen (groin) was a partial participant in Thursday's practice, Danny Cunningham of 850 ESPN Cleveland reports.
ANALYSIS
A groin strain kept Allen sidelined for Tuesday's loss to the Hawks, and his absence from practice suggests he could sit out Friday against the Knicks. If that's the case, Lamar Stevens would presumably draw another start.
Mar 28, 2023
Downgraded to out
Allen (groin) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen finds himself back on the sidelines after presumably suffering a groin strain during Sunday's win over the Rockets. It's unclear how severe the issue is, but Allen will have a couple days to rest before Cleveland returns to action Friday against the Knicks. In Allen's absence, Robin Lopez is a candidate for an increased role, but the Cavaliers could also roll out a small lineup with Evan Mobley manning the center spot.
Mar 27, 2023
Dealing with groin strain
Allen is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to a right groin strain.
ANALYSIS
Allen has recorded three straight double-doubles since returning from a four-game absence due to an eye injury, but it looks he suffered a groin injury during Sunday's win over the Rockets. He posted 24 points (8-11 FG), 14 rebounds and three blocks in 36 minutes during the contest, so it seems like it may be a minor issue. Either way, Cleveland could certainly err on the side of caution and rest Allen Tuesday, giving him ample time to rehab before the Cavaliers return to action Friday against the Knicks.
Mar 21, 2023
Posts double-double in return
Allen contributed 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-3 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 115-109 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen (eye) returned Tuesday after a four-game absence, leading the team in rebounds en route to a double-double performance in a winning effort. Allen has recorded a double-double 30 times this year, including in two of his last three outings.
Mar 21, 2023
Will play Tuesday
Allen (eye) will play Wednesday against the Nets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
He's back after a four-game stint on the sidelines, which should result in Lamar Stevens returning to the second unit and Evan Mobley sliding back over to the four-spot. There's been no word on any minutes restrictions for Allen, so feel free to fire him up.
Mar 20, 2023
Officially listed as questionable
Allen (eye) is questionable for Tuesday's game in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed four straight games due to a right eye contusion, but he was a full participant during Monday's practice and appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of Tuesday's matchup. Per Danny Cunningham of 850 ESPN Cleveland, if the veteran big man is cleared, he won't have to wear goggles during the game and would presumably have zero restrictions.
Mar 20, 2023
Goes through practice
Allen (eye) was a full participant at Monday's practice according to Danny Cunningham of ESPN Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Allen is still considered questionable for Tuesday's game in Brooklyn, but he will travel with the team and his status appears to be trending in the right direction. If Allen gets the green light, he will not have to wear goggles during the game. Lamar Stevens has been starting in Allen's absence and would lose a chunk of fantasy value if Allen returns.
Mar 16, 2023
Still out Friday
Allen (eye) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been dealing with a right eye contusion recently, and he'll be unavailable for a fourth consecutive matchup. Lamar Stevens should remain in the starting lineup against Washington, while Allen will now look forward to Tuesday's game against the Nets as his next chance to return.
Mar 15, 2023
Ruled out Wednesday
Allen (eye) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to deal with a right eye contusion and will be unavailable for a third consecutive game. Lamar Stevens will likely draw another start, while Evan Mobley should take over at center. Allen's next chance to suit up will be Friday against the Wizards.
Mar 13, 2023
Out Tuesday
Allen (eye) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game in Charlotte, Kelsey Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tuesday will mark the second straight game on the sidelines for Allen, which should result in another start for Lamar Stevens with Evan Mobley getting all the run he can handle. Unfortunately, the Cavs have a quick turnaround for the next game with a matchup against the 76ers on Wednesday, so Allen could miss that one as well. Managers in weekly leagues may want to consider benching Allen, as the Cavs only have three games on their schedule.
Mar 12, 2023
Downgraded to out
Allen (eye) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Allen has been ruled out due to an eye contusion, but he's reportedly avoided a serious injury and should be able to suit up again soon. His next chance to do so will arrive Tuesday in a rematch with Charlotte. In Allen's absence, Lamar Stevens will enter the starting lineup at power forward, with Evan Mobley shifting to center.
Mar 12, 2023
Officially listed as doubtful
Allen has been officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Hornets with an injury to his right eye.
ANALYSIS
Allen suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Friday's matchup against the Heat. He was examined right after the game and also on Saturday, and he suffered a right eye contusion with no structural damage. The big man will receive treatment and a decision regarding his availability will probably be made closer to the 5 p.m. ET tip.off.
Mar 11, 2023
Doubtful for Sunday
Allen (right eye contusion) is doubtful for Sunday against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Allen picked up the injury towards the end of Friday's game against the Heat and did not return. With Allen unlikely to suit up, Evan Mobley could shift over to center and we could see veteran Robin Lopez pick up some rare minutes in the frontcourt.
Mar 11, 2023
Injures eye
Allen exited Friday's game against the Heat early due to an eye injury, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen sustained the injury late in Friday's game. He had accumulated six points (2-5 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks across 34 minutes before exiting. His status for Sunday's game at Charlotte is uncertain at this time. Some combination of Dean Wade, Evan Mobley and Robin Lopez would be in line for extra minutes at center should he ultimately have to miss some time.
Mar 9, 2023
Records double-double
Allen closed Wednesday's 104-100 victory over the Heat with 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen only has three double-doubles over his last eight outings, and even though he hasn't been as consistent as he had been in the past in this category, he remains a vital two-way threat for the Cavaliers. The big man is averaging 16.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game since the start of February.
Feb 26, 2023
Posts efficient double-double
Allen provided 23 points (10-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes during Sunday's 118-93 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen entered Sunday without a 20-point game in four straight contests. He snapped that streak with one of his most efficient games of the season. The Cleveland center made his first seven field goals of the game and feasted at the rim, making 10 of 11 shots inside the restricted area. Allen has been a solid source of blocks this season, but he has failed to swat a shot in three of his last four games.
Feb 14, 2023
Another double-double Monday
Allen ended with 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, three blocks and two steals over 39 minutes during Monday's 117-109 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
It's his fourth straight double-double and seventh in the last eight games, as Allen puts together one of the best runs of his career. During that eight-game stretch, the 24-year-old center is averaging 19.1 points, 11.4 boards, 1.6 blocks and 1.5 assists while shooting 73.9 percent from the floor, and in the latter category he ranks fifth in the league on the season with a 65.3 percent FG%.
Feb 12, 2023
Dominates paint in win
Allen accumulated 23 points (10-13 FG, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 97-89 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Allen finished with at least 20 points for a fourth straight game and notched his third double-double during that stretch. The veteran big man has also blocked at least one shot in seven consecutive contests, totaling 10 swats in that span. While he lacks the upside of a Kristaps Porzingis or Anthony Davis, Allen's ability to stay healthy and provide consistent production makes him a reliable fantasy option moving forward.
Feb 8, 2023
Leads with double-double outing
Allen registered 20 points (9-13 FG, 2-5 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 113-85 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all Cavaliers players in scoring and rebounds in Wednesday's win, his fourth double-double in the last five games. Allen has tallied at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in nine games this year.
Feb 7, 2023
Efficient offense in win
Allen posted 23 points (10-13 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 37 minutes during Monday's 114-91 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old center might have had an even bigger night in a more competitive contest, but the Cavaliers were up by 20 at halftime. Allen has scored in double digits in nine straight games and 13 of his last 14, averaging 17.1 points, 9.5 boards, 2.1 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals over that latter stretch while shooting an impressive 70.1 percent from the floor.
Feb 5, 2023
Top rebounder in double-double
Allen provided 18 points (9-11 FG), 13 rebounds and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 122-103 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen led all players in rebounds during Sunday's win, finishing as one of five Cavaliers players in double figures in scoring during a double-double effort. Allen has tallied at least 15 points and 10 rebounds in 14 games this season.
Feb 2, 2023
Dominant effort Thursday
Allen closed Thursday's 128-113 win over the Grizzlies with 18 points (9-12 FG), 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen dominated on both ends of the floor in the win, racking up his 21st double-double of the season, adding four combined steals and blocks. After opening the season on fire, Allen slowed a little during the month of November, thanks largely to a couple of injury-related absences. Since that time, he has gotten things back on track, churning out top-35 value over the past month. Managers should be thrilled about his season to date, and given the Cavaliers are going to be pushing hard the rest of the way, there is no reason to think he won't finish the season just like it started.
Jan 31, 2023
Double-double as top rebounder
Allen amassed 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 100-97 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Allen led the team in rebounds while finishing as one of five Cavaliers players to reach double figures in scoring Tuesday. Allen has recorded a double-double in three of his last five outings.
Jan 25, 2023
Double-double against Knicks
Allen had 24 points (12-17 FG), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 105-103 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
It's the 18th double-double of the season for Allen and his fourth in January. The 24-year-old center is averaging 14.5 points, 8.3 boards, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks through 12 games on the month while shooting 67.3 percent from the floor, but that stretch includes a Jan. 7 contest in which he played only seven minutes before exiting due to an illness.
Jan 22, 2023
Contributes in defensive categories
Allen finished with 12 points (6-10 FG), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 27 minutes in Saturday's 114-102 win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Even though Donovan Mitchell (groin) missed his third straight game Saturday, Allen hasn't been a major beneficiary from a usage standpoint. Instead, frontcourt mate Evan Mobley (career-high 38 points) and point guard Darius Garland (31 points) did the heavy lifting Saturday, while Allen attempted 10 shots or fewer for the third game in a row. The center was at least able to compensate for his lackluster returns in the points and rebounds categories by making an impact in the two defensive categories.
Jan 16, 2023
Delivers on both ends Monday
Allen ended with 24 points (9-12 FG, 6-6 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 113-103 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Allen was tremendous in the victory, scoring at least 24 points for the second time in his past three games. He added 11 boards and three combined defensive stats, compiling one of his better two-way performances in the past couple of weeks. Despite some ups and downs, especially on the offensive end, Allen remains a solid top-50 player and should continue to do so ROS.
Jan 15, 2023
Solid numbers in losing effort
Allen finished with 19 points (8-10 FG, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 34 minutes in Saturday's 110-102 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
After an abbreviated seven-minute outing against the Jazz on Tuesday while he battled an illness, Allen has responded with back-to-back strong showings against the Trail Blazers and Timberwolves. Excluding the brief showing versus Utah, Allen is averaging 15.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 35.0 minutes per game through six outings in January.
Jan 13, 2023
Strong double-double Thursday
Allen amassed 24 points (11-17 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists and one steal over 39 minutes during Thursday's 119-113 victory over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Allen played through an illness Thursday, putting up just his second double-double in the past seven games. After an impressive start to the season, Allen's production has plateaued of late, sitting outside the top 100 over the past two weeks. His offense is always going to come and go, so managers should not be surprised by his inconsistent scoring output. However, his blocks, while also inconsistent, feel as though they should be building blocks for his overall fantasy value. He has recorded multiple blocks only twice in his past 11 games. He remains a must-roster player but managers will certainly be hoping for an uptick in defensive production sooner rather than later.
Jan 12, 2023
Will play Thursday
Allen (illness) will play in Thursday's game against Portland, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
After exiting Tuesday's contest early with a non-COVID illness, the 24-year-old center is going to play Thursday against Portland. Kevin Love and Robin Lopez will likely see extended minutes if Allen faces any setbacks.
Jan 11, 2023
Likely to play Thursday
Allen (illness) is probable for Thursday's game versus Portland.
ANALYSIS
Allen is expected to play Thursday after exiting Tuesday's game early with a non-COVID illness. The 24-year-old big man is averaging 11.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals in 34.4 minutes across his previous five contests.
Jan 10, 2023
Questionable to return Tuesday
Allen is questionable for the remainder of Tuesday's game versus the Jazz due to a non-COVID illness, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen exited Tuesday's game after recording just one assist in seven minutes of action. Kevin Love and Robin Lopez will likely see extended minutes if Allen is unable to return against the Jazz.
Jan 9, 2023
Records 15th double-double
Allen provided 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 29 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't miss a shot in the first half, going 5-of-5 from the field with 10 points to go along with boards and three assists as Cleveland jumped out to a narrow lead at the break. He took just two more shots in the second half but added seven rebounds to notch his 15th double-double of the season. Allen also dished out a season-high five assists in the contest despite seeing his lowest minutes total since Nov. 25.
Jan 3, 2023
Strong showing in OT win
Allen posted 21 points (9-10 FG, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 39 minutes during Monday's 145-134 overtime win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
He was the second-leading scorer for the Cavaliers on the night, although Allen's 21 paled in comparison to Donovan Mitchell's record-setting 71. The 24-year-old center appears fully recovered from the back trouble that sidelined him in late November and early December, and over his last seven games Allen is averaging 15.1 points, 9.9 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks while shooting 67.7 percent from the floor.
Dec 30, 2022
Turns in polished line
Allen recorded 19 points (8-11 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 38 minutes during Thursday's 135-126 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen shot with efficiency from the field in this one and also dominated on the glass. He turned in his best rebounding performance since Dec. 17 against Dallas, and he also notched his second straight double-double. Allen is averaging 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 blocks over his last 10 contests.
Dec 26, 2022
Posts double-double in loss
Allen amassed 10 points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 125-117 loss to Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of five Cleveland players in double figures in scoring during Monday's defeat, posting his second double-double in the last five games. Allen has tallied at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 13 games this season.
Dec 21, 2022
Posts 19 points Wednesday
Allen closed Wednesday's 114-106 win over the Bucks with 19 points (8-10 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen was perfect from the field after halftime, making all four of his shots and scoring nine points. It was the second time in three games and the fourth time this season that he played 40 minutes. Since returning from a back injury Dec. 6, he's averaging 15.3 points and 9.1 rebounds in 36.4 minutes per game in nine contests.
Dec 20, 2022
Double-double in Monday's win
Allen recorded 20 points (7-11 FG, 6-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 122-99 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old center simply overmatched Utah rookie Walker Kessler, who was making his third career NBA start. Allen has three double-doubles in eight contests since returning from a five-game absence due to a back bruise, averaging 14.9 points, 9.3 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals over that stretch while shooting 67.2 percent from the floor.
Dec 15, 2022
Misses just one shot in win
Allen finished with 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 105-90 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Allen's seven field-goal attempts were the fewest among Cleveland's starters, but the big man made six of the tries to finish with 14 points. He rounded out a fine stat line with six boards, three assists and two steals. Allen failed to record a block for the first time in six games, but he also finished with zero turnovers for the second straight contest.
Dec 7, 2022
Double-double in return to court
Allen registered 24 points (11-14 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 38 minutes during Tuesday's 116-102 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Making his return after missing the prior five games due to a sore back, Allen tied his season high in scoring and recorded his 10th double-double of the season, taking advantage of the fact that Anthony Davis (illness) barely saw the court for the Lakers. While Donovan Mitchell will remain the focal point of the Cavs' offense, Allen's strong secondary production from the frontcourt has been a big part of the team's success this season.
Dec 6, 2022
Returning Tuesday
Allen (back) is making his return Tuesday against the Lakers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Following a five-game absence, Allen will return Tuesday. His presence will presumably push Mamadi Diakite to the bench, and fewer minutes may also be available for Lamar Stevens, Kevin Love and Robin Lopez. In his 16 appearances prior to his injury, Allen averaged 14.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in 33.4 minutes.
Dec 6, 2022
Takes part in shootaround
Allen (back), who is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, took part in the team's morning shootaround, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed the Cavaliers' last five games, but his involvement in shootaround is a promising sign for his chances of ending his streak of absences Tuesday. The Cavaliers will likely provide more clarity on Allen's status in the hours leading up to the 7:30 p.m. ET opening tip. If Allen returns, the Cavaliers would have fewer minutes available for the likes of Mamadi Diakite, Robin Lopez and Cedi Osman.
Dec 5, 2022
Questionable Tuesday
Allen (back) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed the last five games due to a low back contusion, but he'll be in the mix to return to the court Tuesday. Dean Wade (shoulder) has been ruled out for several weeks, so Allen's return would provide a significant boost to Cleveland's frontcourt.
Dec 3, 2022
Remains out Sunday
Allen (back) will sit out Sunday's matchup against the Knicks, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a fifth straight contest due to a bruised lower back. Dean Wade (shoulder) will also be absent, meaning Kevin Love, Evan Mobley and Cedi Osman will be relied upon heavily in the frontcourt. Allen's next chance to play will come Tuesday against the Lakers.
Dec 1, 2022
Still sidelined Friday
Allen (back) will miss a fourth consecutive game Friday versus the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen's back issue has led to some abnormal starting fives for the Cavaliers of late, and the team has recorded a 2-2 record in the four games he's sat. The team played well with Evan Mobley starting at center against the Sixers, so that could be the direction they go again Friday.
Nov 29, 2022
Missing third straight game
Allen (back) will remain out Wednesday against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to nurse a bruised lower back, which will keep him out of his third consecutive contest. He'll have two more chances to take the court this week -- Friday vs. ORL; Sunday at NYK -- but it's unclear whether he's nearing a return. The fact that he's been ruled out more than 24 hours in advance of Wednesday's game is not the most encouraging signal.
Nov 28, 2022
Remains out Monday
Allen (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Allen sustained a right hip injury Friday against the Bucks and was unavailable for Sunday's game against Detroit. He'll remain out for the second half of the back-to-back set, while his next chance to return will be Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Nov 27, 2022
Not facing Pistons on Sunday
Allen (hip) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Pistons, Danny Cunningham of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen lasted just 12 minutes in Friday's loss against the Bucks, and the big man is set to miss his first contest since a two-game stretch between Nov. 13 and Nov. 16. The Cavaliers are dealing with several injuries right now, but Robin Lopez seems like the prime candidate to see an expanded role while Allen remains out. Allen's next chance to play will come Monday at Toronto in the second half of this back-to-back set.
Nov 26, 2022
Questionable at Detroit
Allen (hip) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen exited Friday's loss to Milwaukee after taking a hard fall. If he sits out Sunday, more minutes should be available for Robin Lopez, Cedi Osman and other frontcourt players.
Nov 25, 2022
Exits with hip injury
Allen left Friday's matchup against the Bucks early due to a right hip injury, Chris Fedor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen fell hard on his hip in the first quarter of Friday's contest before ultimately getting ruled out. The severity of his injury is unknown, but the Cavaliers next game is Sunday versus the Pistons. Kevin Love (thumb) and Robin Lopez would be the prime beneficiaries should he end up missing time.
Nov 23, 2022
Big first half Wednesday
Allen racked up 24 points (10-12 FG, 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 114-96 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Allen made seven of his eight shot attempts in the first half and scored 16 points while grabbing six rebounds. It was his ninth double-double of the season. The 24-year-old has made 71.7 percent of his shot attempts over the last six games and is averaging 15.3 points during that span.
Nov 19, 2022
Big night in return
Allen registered 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 46 minutes during Friday's 132-122 double-overtime victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Allen returned to the floor after missing Cleveland's last two matchups with an illness, and he didn't show any signs of rust. He had an efficient shooting night on the offensive end and secured his eighth double-double of the campaign. Allen also put together one of his more impressive defensive performances thus far by swatting away a season-high four shots.
Nov 18, 2022
Will start Friday
Allen (illness) is in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus the Hornets, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was considered a game-time call for Friday's tilt and will ultimately be able to give it a go. Allen's rejoining a new-look lineup that features him alongside Evan Mobley and Lamar Stevens, who will stay in the lineup over Caris LeVert.
Nov 18, 2022
Deemed game-time call
Allen (illness) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's contest versus the Hornets, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is dealing with an illness, and it may not be clear until the Cavs take the floor for warmups if the big man will give it a go. Fortunately, Cleveland is one of the earlier games Friday, so Allen's status could be clarified before lineup lock. If he sits again, Lamar Stevens could line up for another start.
Nov 17, 2022
Questionable Friday
Allen is questionable for Friday's game with a non-COVID illness.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed the last two games due to an ankle injury but appears to have contracted an illness now that his ankle has healed. If Allen doesn't play Friday, Sunday's game versus Miami is his next chance to return.
Nov 15, 2022
Won't play Wednesday
Allen (ankle) won't take the floor Wednesday versus the Bucks, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was already expected to miss the contest, but the latest news confirms he will sit after skipping practice Tuesday. Evan Mobley will likely see additional time at center in his stead, Kevin Love may remain in the starting lineup, and Robin Lopez could see additional minutes.
Nov 15, 2022
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Allen (ankle) is not expected to travel to Milwaukee for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Sam Amico of FortyEightMinutes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Left ankle soreness is expected to keep Allen out for a second straight game after he missed Tuesday's practice. Dean Wade (knee) didn't practice, either, so the Cavaliers will likely have a shorthanded frontcourt again. Evan Mobley should see more time at center, while Kevin Love, Cedi Osman and Robin Lopez are candidates to see more run.
Nov 15, 2022
Misses practice Tuesday
Allen (ankle) did not take the floor during Tuesday's practice session, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing Sunday's game versus the Timberwolves following a questionable designation leading up to the contest, Allen's absence from practice Tuesday suggests he's likely headed toward a similar pregame label for Wednesday, at best. Kevin Love may line up for another start if the big man can't go.
Nov 13, 2022
Out Sunday
Allen (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota, Danny Cunningham of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss his first game of the season due to an ankle injury. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but the star big man's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Bucks. In his absence, Kevin Love will enter the starting lineup at power forward and Evan Mobley will shift to center.
Nov 12, 2022
Questionable Sunday
Allen is questionable for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves due to left ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Allen is joined by Donovan Mitchell (ankle) and Dean Wade (knee) as questionable for the contest. Through 12 games, he has averaged 14.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in 32.5 minutes per game.
Nov 10, 2022
Scores 20 points in loss
Allen ended Wednesday's 127-120 loss to the Kings with 20 points (7-11 FG, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen was quieter than usual on the boards Wednesday after grabbing a season-high 20 rebounds in his previous contest, but he made up for it by hitting the 20-point mark as a scorer for just the second time this season. The big man also extended his streak of contests with at least one block to five. Over five games in November, Allen is averaging 16.6 points, 11.8 boards and 1.8 blocked shots over 32.4 minutes.
Nov 8, 2022
Puts up big double-double in loss
Allen recorded 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 FT), 20 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in 33 minutes during Monday's 119-117 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Allen just managed to hit the double-digit point mark for his seventh double-double of the campaign, but he had no trouble corralling enough boards to accomplish the feat. In fact, his 20 rebounds were a season high, eclipsing the 16 boards he pulled down against Orlando on Oct. 26. Allen also extended his streak with multiple swats to four games, and he recorded two thefts for the second straight contest to tie the bow on a standout line for his fantasy managers.
Nov 6, 2022
Grabs 11 boards Sunday
Allen closed with 16 points (5-13 FG, 6-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks and two steals over 28 minutes during Sunday's 114-100 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his sixth double-double in nine games this season Sunday. He missed his final four shots -- all from within three feet -- but otherwise had a productive game. The 24-year-old is playing a bigger role in Cleveland's offense this season and his 10.6 shots per game are the most of his career.
Nov 5, 2022
Another strong showing
Allen amassed 23 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and two blocks across 32 minutes during Friday's 112-88 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen fell three boards shy of a double-double, but he shot efficiently from the field and also provided fantasy managers with value in the blocks category. He's now swatted two shots in consecutive matchups. Allen has been a double-double machine in the early going, racking up five in his first eight contests of the 2022-23 campaign.
Nov 2, 2022
Records fifth double-double
Allen registered 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and two blocks over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime victory over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen grabbed double-digit rebounds for the sixth time in the season's first seven games, raising his average to 12.3 boards per game. Two of his three blocks came in overtime, as the Cavs held Boston to six points and held on for the win. Allen appears primed to produce his third straight season averaging a double-double.
Oct 29, 2022
Another double-double in win
Allen totaled 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists over 40 minutes during Friday's 132-123 overtime win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen managed another double-double Friday night, his third-straight and fourth in five games. His shot volume has been up and down and he's averaging a career-low 57 percent from the field, but the Cavs haven't really needed him for his scoring this season. The sixth-year center is still a reliably consistent rebounder and decent shot blocker.
Oct 26, 2022
Monster double-double Wednesday
Allen totaled 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 FT), 16 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 103-92 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen was efficient on offense and an absolute menace on the glass en route to his second straight double-double -- and his third of the season. The former Nets big man posted season-high mark in both points and rebounds in this one, and all signs point to him being one of the best two-way threats in the league if he manages to stay healthy.
Oct 24, 2022
Puts up double-double
Allen recorded 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 38 minutes during Sunday's 117-107 overtime win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
One of the best two-way big men in The Association, Allen has recorded two double-doubles in three appearances and his numbers have not suffered too much following the addition of Donovan Mitchell to the offensive scheme. Expect him to remain a solid two-way contributor as the season progresses.
Oct 19, 2022
Double-double in loss to Raptors
Allen closed Wednesday's 108-105 loss to the Raptors with 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds and two blocks over 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old center had a solid start to the season and worked well at times in the Cleveland frontcourt alongside Evan Mobley, but the duo had trouble shutting down Toronto's penetration during crunch time. Allen averaged career highs last season with 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds a game, and with a more talented roster around him there's little reason to think his numbers will regress significantly.
Oct 19, 2022
Starting in season opener
Allen is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed the team's preseason finale but is not missing any additional time. The sixth-year center will start alongside Evan Mobley in the frontcourt Wednesday.
Oct 13, 2022
Won't travel for preseason finale
Allen will not make the trip to Orlando for the Cavaliers' preseason finale versus the Magic, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen joins Darius Garland staying behind while the team makes the trek down south for one last exhibition before the games start to count. However, there's no indication of a cause for concern regarding the big man's absence for the season opener, and Allen is just likely taking a breather.
Oct 11, 2022
Goes for 19 and 12 in loss
Allen contributed 19 points (7-15 FG, 5-6 FT), 12 rebounds and one block in 34 minutes during Monday's 113-97 preseason loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Allen logged a whopping 34 minutes in the loss, reassuring managers that he is fully healthy and ready to roll. With blocks quite hard to come by in drafts this season, Allen's appeal has him sitting as a top-50 consideration. While he may not have huge amounts of upside, his floor is relatively safe thanks to his shot-blocking ability and elite efficiency from the floor.
Apr 15, 2022
In starting lineup
Allen (finger) will officially play and start in Friday's do-or-die play-in game against the Hawks, Kelsey Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been sidelined since March 6, but he still figures to see heavy minutes given the situation. His presence in the starting lineup means Isaac Okoro will come off the bench.
Apr 15, 2022
Expected to play Friday
Allen (finger) is expected to play Friday against the Hawks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Unless he suffers a setback in warmups, the Cavs' All-Star center will be available for Friday's do-or-die play-in game against the Hawks. His presence will be beneficial against Atlanta's Clint Capela, freeing Evan Mobley to roam and disrupt more defensively. Allen could be rusty given that he hasn't played since March 6, but he'll still presumably see heavy minutes given the situation.
Apr 14, 2022
Will attempt to play Friday
Allen (finger) will attempt to play in Friday's play-in contest against Atlanta, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
While Allen was able to go through shootaround Thursday, he remains questionable on the Cavs' official injury report. However, the implication from Charania's tweet is that Allen will warm up with the intent to play Friday night, which would mark his first action since March 6. If Allen does end up taking the court, it'll likely be a touch-and-go situation, so rostering him in DFS contests could be a risky proposition.
Apr 11, 2022
Won't play Tuesday
Allen (finger) has been ruled out for Tuesday's play-in matchup against the Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reprots.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Allen will remain out for the start of the play-in tournament, which means Evan Mobley will continue to start at center while Kevin Love and Lamar Stevens garner increased roles off the bench. If the Cavaliers lose Tuesday, they would face the winner of the Hawks-Hornets matchup Thursday in a win-or-go home game, but Allen's status past Tuesday's game remains unknown. On a positive note, the All-Star center was able to go through a pregame workout ahead of Sunday's win over the Bucks, so he appears to be making substantial progress and is nearing a return to action.
Apr 11, 2022
Not expected to play Tuesday
Allen (finger) is not expected to be available for Tuesday's play-in game against the Nets, Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor reports.
ANALYSIS
While Allen is said to be progressing in his recovery from a fractured finger on his left hand, one team source cited by Fedor notes that it would be "unrealistic" for the big man to make his return to action Tuesday. On a more positive note, Allen was able to go through a pregame workout Sunday afternoon, during which he shed his splint and was able to use his left hand -- albeit somewhat uncomfortably. At this stage in his recovery, his return may mostly come down to a matter of pain tolerance, a sentiment echoed by head coach JB Bickerstaff, who spoke on Allen following Sunday's win over Milwaukee. "It's a structure thing first and foremost," BIckerstaff said. "You always want to make sure that it's as healthy as it possibly can be. In his position, the banging that he does, on the rim, like blocking shots, all those things. Then it becomes pain tolerance. Then strengthening and his ability to use that finger. But he's making steps. It'll be one of those things where the day will come and he'll be ready to
Apr 9, 2022
Officially out Sunday
Allen (finger) will not play in the Cavs' regular season finale versus the Bucks, Evan Dammarell of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen's absence will mark his 14th straight to close the season, as he continues to recover from a fractured left finger. It is unclear if the big-man will be able to return for the Cavaliers' play-in game.
Apr 1, 2022
Remains out indefinitely
Allen (finger) is out Saturday against the Knicks are remains out indefinitely.
ANALYSIS
It remains unclear when Allen will return to the lineup, but chances are running out during the regular season. The Cavaliers' final game is Sunday, April 10 against the Bucks.
Mar 29, 2022
Remains out Wednesday
Allen (finger) will remain sidelined Wednesday against Dallas, Evan Dammarell of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a 12th straight matchup as he continues to recover from a fractured left finger. His next opportunity to take the floor looms Thursday against Atlanta, although it seems highly unlikely at the moment.
Mar 28, 2022
Remains out Monday
Allen (finger) will miss his 11th consecutive game Monday against the Magic and remains without a definitive timeline for returning to action, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
On a positive note, Allen has recently been cleared to resume on-court activities, but he's still sporting a splint on his fractured finger. Until his finger shows more healing, the Cavaliers aren't likely to offer up a target date for his return. Ideally for Cleveland, Allen will be back in action at some point during the team's final handful of regular-season games and be capable of handling a 30-plus-minute role by the time postseason play begins.
Mar 26, 2022
Return date remains uncertain
A target date for Allen's return from a broken finger remains undetermined, Kelsey Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen's absence sits at just shy of three weeks, and it does not appear it is close to ending, as he still has a splint on his injured finger. The good news, according to head coach J.B Bickerstaff, is that the pain in Allen's finger "has decreased to a point where he can start to do, or has started to do, more things."
Mar 15, 2022
Elects not to have surgery
Allen (finger) has elected to not undergo surgery to repair his fractured left middle finger and could possibly return by the end of the regular season, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen sustained the injury against the Raptors on March 6 and has been sidelined since. The fifth-year big man made his first All-Star appearance this season and is averaging career highs in points (16.1) and rebounds (10.8). He's been a key piece in the Cavaliers' turnaround this season, and his availability for a playoff run would be a huge boost for the young squad.
Mar 9, 2022
Could miss rest of regular season
Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff acknowledged Tuesday that he's uncertain if Allen (finger) will be back before the end of the regular season, Kelsey Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
A determination has yet to be made regarding whether Allen will require surgery to address the fractured finger he sustained on his non-shooting hand in Sunday's win over the Raptors. If Allen is able to avoid surgery, he would likely face a shorter recovery timeline, but in any case, he's expected to require multiple weeks of healing time. Allen sounds like he'll have a good chance at making it back for the Cavaliers' postseason run, but fantasy managers in redraft leagues may be best off dropping him for a healthy player at this time.
Mar 7, 2022
Fractured finger confirmed
The Cavaliers confirmed Monday that Allen is out indefinitely after suffering a fractured left middle finger in Sunday's 104-96 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen's exit in the first half of Sunday's game was initially attributed to a left quadriceps contusion, and follow-up tests later revealed that the All-Star center was dealing with a more significant hand injury. The 23-year-old is set to undergo additional evaluation and treatment over the next several days, at which point a determination could be made on whether he requires surgery to address the injury. Even if he avoids surgery on his non-shooting hand and requires a shorter timeline for his recovery, Allen still looks like a good bet to miss at least a week of action at a minimum, making him tough to hold for fantasy managers in the midst of head-to-head playoff matchups. Evan Mobley is expected to shift over from power forward and see more time at center in Allen's stead, while the likes of Kevin Love, Lauri Markkanen, Ed Davis, Dean Wade and Cedi Osman could all see mild bumps in playing time.
Mar 6, 2022
Ruled out indefinitely
Allen sustained a fractured finger in Sunday's win over the Raptors and is expected to be sidelined indefinitely, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was initially diagnosed with a left quadriceps contusion after leaving Sunday's game against Toronto, but he's also dealing with a finger issue that will keep him off the court for an extended period. Kevin Love, Evan Mobley and Ed Davis will take on increased roles in the frontcourt with Allen unavailable.
Mar 6, 2022
Won't return Sunday
Allen departed Sunday's game against the Raptors with a left quadriceps contusion and won't return, Spencer Davies of BasketballNews.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen logged six points (3-4 FG), two rebounds and two blocks in 10 minutes prior to leaving Sunday's matchup. Kevin Love, Evan Mobley and Ed Davis should see increased run for the remainder of the game, while it's not yet clear whether Allen will be able to play Tuesday against Indiana.
Mar 2, 2022
32nd double-double of season
Allen amassed 18 points (7-9 FG, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-98 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his 32nd double-double of the season by posting an effective performance offensively while leading the Cavs in rebounding once again. The former Texas Longhorn currently leads the team in rebounding and is second in scoring, and the center continues to excel with career highs in almost every statistical category. Allen and the Cavs will look to bounce back in the win column Friday against the 76ers.
Feb 27, 2022
Efficient double-double in win
Allen supplied 18 points (7-8 FG, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds and three steals over 34 minutes during Saturday's 92-86 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of three Cavaliers that recorded a double-double in this contest along with Evan Mobley and Lauri Markkanen. The All-Star big man has been one of the best two-way players in the league over the course of February, posting five double-doubles over his last eight games and averaging 16.4 points with 11.9 rebounds across nine outings this month.
Feb 25, 2022
Underwhelms in loss
Allen contributed 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 106-103 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Lacking co-stars Darius Garland (back) and Caris LeVert (foot), for Allen to log such a subdued performance against the lowly Pistons was disappointing. The game flow is telling of the importance Garland has in the offense's functionality and Allen's reliance on other creators. Allen still logged a stable fantasy performance, and the all-star is a boom candidate against the undersized Wizards on Saturday.
Feb 13, 2022
Well contained in loss
Allen notched 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 103-93 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen, while serviceable, could not repeat his performance from 24 hours earlier. While it was a disappointing night, it is not completely surprising given he was up against arguably the best center in the league. Off-night aside, Allen has been incredible this season, teaming up with Evan Mobley as part of what is becoming a formidable frontcourt. Managers will simply have to chalk this up to a bad matchup and look ahead to Tuesday's clash with the Hawks.
Feb 12, 2022
Strong double-double in victory
Allen produced 22 points (8-12 FG, 6-6 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Friday's 120-113 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen's tear continued during Friday's matchup, as he's now posted double-doubles in each of the last four games while scoring at least 15 points with at least 14 rebounds in each of those appearances. He tied for the team lead in the scoring column Friday to help lead Cleveland to the victory. Across the 23-year-old's eight appearances since returning from a brief absence, he's averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds in 32.0 minutes per game.
Feb 10, 2022
Thumps Spurs in win
Allen totaled 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 32 minutes Wednesday in the Cavaliers' 105-92 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
The center and frontcourt mate Evan Mobley both had their way with the Spurs in the paint and on the glass, combining for 33 points and 26 rebounds on the night. Allen has now collected three double-doubles in a row, averaging 19.7 points and 17.7 boards during that stretch while chipping in 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 64.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Feb 5, 2022
Monster double-double in win
Allen amassed 29 points (12-20 FG, 5-7 FT), 22 rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Friday's 102-101 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
The Cavaliers were without their All-Star point guard Darius Garland (back), but Allen put the team on his back and registered season highs in points (29) and rebounds (22). It was his first 20-plus point outing since Jan. 4 and his first double-double over his previous four games. Allen is averaging 16.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 blocks in 32.6 minutes per game, but he's recorded at least 20 points and 15 rebounds in back-to-back matchups against the Hornets. Cleveland hosts Charlotte on March 2, which will be the final meeting between the two squads this season.
Jan 31, 2022
All-around performance in loss
Allen ended with 15 points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 35 minutes during Sunday's 115-105 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen fell just one rebound shy of his third straight double-double and blocked multiple shots for the 19th time this season. In his first full campaign with Cleveland, the fifth-year center is averaging 16.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 32.8 minutes per game -- all career highs.
Jan 26, 2022
Available Wednesday
Allen (illness) will play in Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen will return to the court following a one-game absence due a non-COVID illness that also kept him out of Tuesday's practice. It's not clear if he will have any kind of minutes restriction, but he figures to rejoin the starting five which would shift Ed Davis to the bench.
Jan 25, 2022
Listed as questionable
Allen (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Allen sat out of Monday's contest due to a non-COVID illness and wasn't at team facilities during Tuesday's practice. If he's unable to suit up, Ed David will likely draw another start at center, while Evan Mobley and Kevin Love should also see more run at the five.
Jan 25, 2022
Not at practice Tuesday
Allen (illness) was not at the Cavaliers' facility during Tuesday's practice, Evan Dammarell of WKYC 3News reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen sat out of Monday's contest due to a non-COVID illness, but the fact that he's still away from the team is a bit concerning. If he's unable to play Wednesday, Ed Davis will likely draw another start at center, while Evan Mobley and Kevin Love should also see more run at the five.

Allen (illness) won't play Monday against the Knicks, Serena Winters of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was considered questionable due to a non-COVID illness and will sit out Monday's contest. Ed Davis will start at center in his absence, while Evan Mobley and Kevin Love should also see more run at the position.
Jan 24, 2022
Dealing with illness
Allen is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Knicks due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Allen has posted a double-double in eight of his last 11 games and averaged 14.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 blocks in 32.5 minutes during that stretch. If he's unable to suit up Monday, Kevin Love, Ed Davis and Dean Wade are all candidates for increased playing time.
Jan 23, 2022
Records 25th double-double
Allen closed Saturday's 94-87 victory over Oklahoma City with 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-6 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen's excellent all-around performance gave the Cavs their sixth win in seven games, making the team one of the hottest squads in the Eastern Conference at present. With Evan Mobley providing support alongside him, Allen is having a career year and he's one pace for career-highs in almost every category.
Jan 16, 2022
Records double-double
Allen contributed 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-8 FT), 13 rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes during Saturday's 107-102 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been one of the league's best two-way centers this season, and at this point, he should be considered a nightly double-double threat. The former Nets big man has six double-doubles over his last eight contests.
Jan 15, 2022
Records 17/16 double-double in win
Allen recorded 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Friday's 114-109 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Allen was a force to be reckoned with in the paint, posting huge rebound numbers. He also assisted in containing Jakob Poeltl, who failed to score. Since his return, Allen has recorded double-digit rebounds in five of his last eight contests.
Jan 11, 2022
Grabs 17 boards in narrow win
Allen chipped in 18 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 17 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 31 minutes during Monday's 109-108 victory over Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Allen led Cleveland in both scoring and rebounding in the contest, with his total on the boards tying a season-high mark. The big man added a pair of blocks, and he has swatted multiple shots in five of his past six games. Allen is enjoying a career-best campaign with 16.9 points, 10.9 boards and 1.5 blocks per contest.
Jan 4, 2022
Puts up another double-double
Allen accumulated 22 points (11-14 FG), 12 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
While the Cavs dropped their fourth game in five tries, it was once again a strong night for the big man, who's emerged as a potential first-time All-Star in the Eastern Conference. Allen notched his 19th double-double of the season and his ninth that included at least 20 points. Through 31 games, Allen holds career-best averages in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game, as well as field goal percentage.
Jan 2, 2022
Records 18th double-double
Allen closed with 18 points (6-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Sunday's 108-104 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Although Allen faces stiff competition with Kevin Love and Evan Mobley for time in the frontcourt, all three players are performing well together. Allen is the biggest surprise of the trio, as he was expected to see a production dip in the crowded depth chart. The Cavs' offense has transformed amid the injuries to Darius Garland and Collin Sexton, with Allen, Love and Mobley dominating the box scores.
Jan 1, 2022
Scores 21 points vs. Hawks
Allen recorded 21 points (9-11 FG), eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Friday's 121-118 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Friday marked Allen's 11th game with at least 20 points and his fifth performance with at least three blocks, though he gave up 23 rebounds to Clint Capela. Still, Allen has been great this season. In 32.8 minutes, he's averaging 16.9 points on 70.7 percent shooting, 10.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 blocks.
Dec 31, 2021
Starting Friday
Allen (conditioning) is starting Friday's game against Atlanta, Joe Gabriele of the Cavaliers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed four straight games due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, but he'll be back in action against the Hawks. It's not yet clear whether he'll have a minutes restriction Friday.
Dec 31, 2021
Likely to play Friday
Allen (conditioning) is listed as probable for Friday's contest against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen has missed four consecutive games, but it appears he will make his return Friday. On the season, the 6-foot-10 center is averaging 16.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 32.6 minutes -- which would all be career highs.
Dec 30, 2021
Officially out Thursday
Allen (COVID-19 protocols) is out for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen was considered doubtful ahead of Thursday's matchup, so it isn't very surprising to see him ruled out once again. Dean Wade and Kevin Love should be in line for increased run.
Dec 29, 2021
Doubtful Thursday
Allen (COVID-19 protocols) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
There's a chance Allen plays, but he's probably going to sit out a fourth straight game Thursday. In his absence, Dean Wade and Kevin Love should continue seeing extra usage.
Dec 19, 2021
Enters league protocol
Allen was placed in the NBA's health and safety protocols Sunday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cavaliers had five positive COVID-19 tests Sunday morning and Allen is the first of the five to be revealed. The 28-year-old is averaging a career-best 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds in 32.6 minutes per game. The team is now up to seven players in protocol and possibly could have an eighth player in in Dylan Windler (head). Their game against the Hawks Sunday night is currently in serious jeopardy of being postponed.
Dec 13, 2021
Solid overall outing in Monday's win
Allen registered 17 points (6-6 FG, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block during Monday's 105-94 win over Miami.
ANALYSIS
Despite breaking his streak of three straight double-doubles, Allen finished with a solid overall effort across 32 minutes of action. Allen's eight rebounds were actually the lowest he has recorded since Nov. 13 against the Celtics, but his 17 points continued his long streak of 19 consecutive outings in double figures. The center has currently tallied a double-double in 17-of-26 appearances, as Allen is also leading the Cavs off the glass by a wide margin with a career-best 11.2 per game.
Dec 12, 2021
Balanced output in win
Allen recorded 19 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 39 minutes during Saturday's 117-103 win over Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Allen's improvements this season have been massive and his numbers back that up, as he has 10 double-doubles over his last 11 appearances since missing three straight games in mid-November. He's averaging 21.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in that span while settling himself as an elite two-way player for the Cavaliers.
Dec 7, 2021
Comes close to double-double
Allen finished Monday's 112-104 loss to Milwaukee with 25 points (10-12 FG, 5-5 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks over 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen couldn't push his double-double streak to eight games, but his impact as one of the league's best two-way big men is not under question at this point. The former Nets center has 14 double-doubles this season and is averaging 22.3 points with 10.8 rebounds per game in four appearances this month.
Dec 6, 2021
Logs double-double against Gobert
Allen finished with 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals across 32 minutes during Sunday's 109-108 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
While Allen has outperformed his projections all season, he looked imposing against Gobert, arguably the best defensive player in the league. He limited Gobert to only five offensive boards and connected on 58.3 percent of his shots.
Dec 2, 2021
Fifth straight double-double
Allen supplied 19 points (7-8 FG, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 111-85 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Allen has now recorded a double-double in each of his last five contests, and the talented big man continues to show his upside on every game. Allen has been enjoying the uptick in playing time compared to past seasons, and he has recorded 10 double-doubles over his last 12 appearances. At this stage, it would be fair to consider him a nightly double-double threat.
Nov 30, 2021
Offensive explosion Monday
Allen posted 28 points (12-17 FG, 4-6 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists and one block over 34 minutes during Monday's 114-96 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Allen dominated during the win, having his way on the interior against a Mavericks team that simply had no answers. Known more for his rebounding and shot-blocking ability, offense like this is something fantasy managers would love to see on a regular basis. The Cavaliers have been one of the more surprising teams thus far, meaning Allen should be able to maintain his momentum moving forward.
Nov 25, 2021
Excellent in loss
Allen racked up 25 points (9-10 FG, 7-9 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's 120-115 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Allen logged his second big double-double in as many games upon returning from an illness. The 23-year-old is inheriting a major bump in usage over the next few weeks during the absence of Evan Mobley (elbow). Allen ranks within the top-25 in player efficiency rating on the season. He is a nightly boom candidate for fantasy purposes.
Nov 22, 2021
Impressive showing in return
Allen supplied 20 points (7-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists and one block across 37 minutes during Monday's 117-112 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Allen didn't show any signs of rust after missing the last three games due to illness, turning in his eighth double-double of the 2021 campaign. He's off to one of his best starts to the season of his young career, averaging 14.6 points, 11.2 rebounds in 32.6 minutes over 15 contests.
Nov 21, 2021
Practices again
Allen (illness) was able to practice again Sunday and is feeling good ahead of Monday's game against the Nets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was dealing with a bad cold that forced him out of all three of the team's games during the week. It seems as though he's moved past the issue and should be fine to retake his spot in the starting lineup for Monday's contest. The 23-year-old is averaging a career-best 14.2 points and 10.9 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per game.
Nov 20, 2021
Able to practice Saturday
Allen (illness) was able to practice Saturday, per Kelsey Russo of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Allen sat out three games because of an untimely non-COVID illness, so him practicing is a promising sign that he will return soon. Head coach J.B. Bickerstaff expects the center to play Monday.
Nov 18, 2021
Won't play Thursday
Allen (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Allen will be sidelined for a third straight contest due to a non-COVID illness. He'll have several additional days to recover before Monday's game against the Nets.
Nov 16, 2021
Already ruled out Wednesday
Allen (illness) will not play in Wednesday's game at Brooklyn, Spencer Davies of Basketball News reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen did not take part in practice Tuesday and will not travel with the team to Brooklyn, so he'll miss a second straight game due to a non-COVID illness. His absence couldn't come at a worse time for the Cavs, who announced Tuesday that Evan Mobley will miss 2-to-4 weeks due to a sprained elbow. The hope is that Allen can return for Thursday's home game against Golden State, but at this point that's far from a guarantee.
Nov 15, 2021
Out Monday
Allen (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Celtics, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was labeled doubtful earlier in the day due to a non-COVID illness, so it's not a surprise to see he won't be suiting up versus Boston. Ricky Rubio will enter the starting lineup in his place while Evan Mobley shifts to center.
Nov 15, 2021
Downgraded to doubtful
Allen has been downgraded to doubtful for Monday's matchup with the Celtics due to a non-COVID illness.
ANALYSIS
Allen has yet to miss a game this season, but that streak could come to an end Monday after he was downgraded to doubtful due to an illness. Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen have already been ruled out against the Celtics due to conditioning, so if Allen is also unavailable, then the rookie Evan Mobley may have to start at center, while Cedi Osman and Dean Wade man the forward positions. Ed Davis would also be a candidate to see an increased action if Allen is sidelined.
Nov 13, 2021
Secures seven rebounds
Allen racked up 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 29 minutes during Friday's 98-78 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Allen shot 71.4 percent from the floor in Friday's blowout win, and he tied for the second-highest rebound total on the team against the Pistons. Although he snapped a streak of five consecutive double-doubles Friday, he's remained quite productive across his last six appearances and has averaged 17.7 points and 13.7 rebounds in 35.8 minutes per game during that time.
Nov 7, 2021
Monster double-double Sunday
Allen record 18 points (8-15 FG, 2-4 FT), 17 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three turnovers in 34 minutes during Sunday's 126-109 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
The young center continues to dominate down-low, posting his fourth straight double-double with at least 15 points and rebounds. Allen is averaging career-highs in both points and rebounds this season with 14.6 and 11.1 apiece. The 6-foot-11 big is turning into a real strong fantasy option at center this season.
Nov 6, 2021
Third straight double-double
Allen recorded 16 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds, two steals and a block across 39 minutes in Friday's win over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Allen has recorded five double-doubles already, and he's now on a run of three straight games with that kind of output -- he has scored at least 15 points while grabbing at least 15 boards in each one of those contests. The promising big man has looked excellent in the beginning of the campaign while settling as the Cavaliers' starting center. He is averaging 14.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game -- both marks would be career-high figures if he's able to maintain them throughout the entire campaign.
Nov 4, 2021
Another strong performances
Allen racked up 24 points (9-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 17 rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block Wednesday, as the Cavaliers beat the Trail Blazers 107-104.
ANALYSIS
Allen led Cleveland in scoring while playing 40 minutes in the absence of Lauri Markkanen (COVID-19 protocols). Still just 23 years old, Allen is on a strong trajectory development-wise and is capable of supplying dominant efforts. A healthy Markkanen creates a slight logjam, but Allen is a much better rebounder -- solidifying his floor. The Cavaliers will play the Raptors on Friday.
Nov 1, 2021
Big double-double in Charlotte
Allen tallied 24 points (9-13 FG, 6-9 FT), 16 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and one steal in 35 minutes Monday against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Allen led the way for the Cavs on the boards, coming down with 16 rebounds. He also led his squad in scoring with 24 points on 69.2 percent shooting from the field. Allen's scoring production came at a good time, as he had been held to six points or fewer in each of his last three games.
Oct 26, 2021
Nearly perfect from field
Allen tallied 21 points (10-11 FG, 1-3 FT), 16 rebounds and two assists across 37 minutes in a 99-87 win over the Nuggets on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Allen played six more minutes than any other Cavalier in the win, and he led the team in rebounds while trailing only Kevin Love in scoring. The big man finished with his second straight double-double after pulling down only four rebounds in each of his first two games. Allen hasn't swatted a shot in any of his past three contests, but he has been a positive fantasy contributor overall with per-game averages of 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals. He is also shooting an almost-unfathomable 83.8 percent from the field through four games.
Oct 24, 2021
Grabs 14 rebounds
Allen recorded 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds and two steals across 33 minutes during a 101-95 win Saturday versus Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Allen took advantage of Atlanta's many field-goal attempts and misses. If the Cavaliers could maximize both more efficiently, those would benefit him considerably. Allen averaged four rebounds when they conceded at least 120 points during each of their previous two games.
Oct 20, 2021
Perfect shooting in loss
Allen ended Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Grizzlies with 25 points (11-11 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three steals, three blocks and one assist in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen was unstoppable offensively and also made a huge impact on the game defensively matching his career high in steals. The 23-year-old has always been efficient offensively as he is a 62.3 percent shooter from the field in his career, and it looks like that will keep up this season. His rebounding is usually much more impactful than it was tonight as he averaged 10.0 rebounds last season and he figures to get close to that production again this year.
Oct 16, 2021
Plays well in preseason
Allen averaged 8.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 20.4 minutes across five preseason games.
ANALYSIS
Allen had a business-as-usual preseason, with his numbers roughly translating to 15-and-10 per 36 minutes. He and Evan Mobley make up the Cavaliers' frontcourt of the future, though Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen are bound to find significant minutes as well.
Oct 5, 2021
Not on injury report
Allen (ankle) is not on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's preseason game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Allen missed some practice time last week due to a sore ankle, but it looks like he's moved past the issue and should be available for Tuesday's exhibition opener.
Sep 29, 2021
Held out of practice
Allen (ankle soreness) was held out of Wednesday's practice, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off signing his five year, $100 million contract in the offseason, it seems that Cleveland is just playing it safe with their young big man on just the second day of training camp. Allen is locked in as the Cavs' starting center after averaging 12.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game last season -- all career-highs. It remains to be seen how the 23-year-old's usage and minutes are affected by the additions of both No. 3 overall pick Evan Mobley and newly acquired Lauri Markkanen. Cleveland opens their regular season October 20th in Memphis.
Aug 2, 2021
Agrees to $100M deal with Cavs
Allen and the Cavaliers came to terms on a five-year, $100 million contract Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, the Cavs have a deal in place to keep the 23-year-old center around, despite taking a big man in Evan Mobley with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. The internal belief is that Allen and Mobley can play together, and the hefty financial commitment would appear to back up that notion. Allen came over from Brooklyn early last season as part of the James Harden deal. In 51 appearances for the Cavs, Allen posted 13.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 60.9 percent from the field.
May 15, 2021
Double-double against Wizards
Allen scored 18 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding 14 rebounds, three assists and a block in 35 minutes during Friday's loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The former Net picked up his 25th double-double of the season, and 20th with the Cavs. Allen hasn't seen much shot volume lately in an offense dominated by its backcourt, scoring in double digits only three times in the last eight games while averaging 10.0 points, 10.6 boards, 2.4 assists and 0.8 blocks over that stretch.
May 12, 2021
Sniffs double-double in win
Allen accumulated eight points (4-10 FG), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 102-94 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old came two points shy of his 25th double-double of the season. While Allen's scoring has been inconsistent as of late, he's been rebounding the ball well over his last 11 games, averaging 10.4 in that span. The fourth-year center is averaging career highs in points and rebounds through 49 games this season, and he'll look to keep up his impressive rebounding pace Friday on the road against the Wizards.
May 5, 2021
Solid all-around performance
Allen totaled 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in a 134-118 loss to the Suns on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Allen scored in double figures for the sixth time in his last seven games thanks to another efficient shooting performance. Over that stretch, the center has converted an impressive 70.3 percent of his shot attempts and averaged 15.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.
May 2, 2021
Pulls down 14 rebounds
Allen mustered six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and a block across 36 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Allen had scored in double digits in five straight games before Saturday, though he continues to be a reliable presence on the glass -- he has pulled down double-digit boards in four of his last five contests. The big man is averaging 13.5 points and 10.3 rebounds over his last 11 games since returning from an eight-game absence between late March and early April.
May 1, 2021
Puts up double-double in defeat
Allen had 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 FT) and 11 rebounds in Friday's loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The game was out of hand early in the second half, so Allen played only 26 minutes in the 29-point loss. He still managed to post a double-double, however, giving him three in his last four games. During that stretch, Allen is putting up 18.0 points and 10.8 boards while shooting 68.2 percent from the field.
Apr 28, 2021
Big double-double
Allen scored 17 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT) to go along with 13 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal across 37 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen had a strong all-around performance, in part thanks to six offensive rebounds. He also shot efficiently from the field to score in double digits for the seventh time in his last nine games. In that same span, Allen has averaged 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.
Apr 26, 2021
Scores 15 in loss
Allen scored 15 points (7-11 FG, 1-1 FT) to go along with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes in Monday's loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen posted a familiar line, scoring in the mid-teens on efficient shooting. He also rebounded the ball well, even though it was a subpar night given his recent results, as he's averaged 9.4 boards across his last eight games. To really vault his fantasy value, Allen will need to produce more consistently on the defensive end of the floor, given that he's averaged only 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in that same eight-game span.
Apr 26, 2021
Double-doubles in loss
Allen recorded 27 points (10-12 FG, 7-9 FT), 12 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes in Sunday's loss against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his third double-double out of his last six appearances, and while he's not been very consistent with his scoring figures on a game-to-game basis, he's still a reliable fantasy asset. His efficiency has been very high as well, as he's shooting 69.8 percent from the field across his last seven games since returning from an eight-game absence.
Apr 18, 2021
Another double-double, another loss
Allen had 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-2 FT) and 11 boards in Saturday's loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Playing in his third game since returning from a concussion, Allen posted his second straight double-double but didn't add much else in his 32 minutes. Allen has only one blocked shot in the last three games (97 total minutes).
Apr 16, 2021
Records double-double in loss
Allen scored 17 points (6-7 FG, 5-6 FT) with 14 rebounds, two steals and one assist in a 119-101 loss to the Warriors on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Allen was very efficient with his scoring opportunities which led to his 20th double-double of the season. The center also contributed multiple steals for just the third time this year, though he did have five turnovers on offense too. Allen has averaged 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in his first two games back from a concussion, which kept him out of the lineup for eight contests.
Apr 14, 2021
Sniffs double-double in return
Allen tallied 15 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 30 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old picked up right where he left off before missing the last eight games due to a concussion, posting his sixth straight double-digit point effort. Before Wednesday's game, Allen was averaging 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 55.1 percent from the field over his past five games. The fourth-year center will look to make it seven straight double-digit scoring outputs Thursday at home against the Warriors.
Apr 14, 2021
Back in starting five
Allen will start Wednesday's game against Charlotte, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, the big man will step back in at center after missing the last eight games due to a concussion. It's possible he could face a soft minutes restriction, though the Cavs have not explicitly indicated if that will be the case.
Apr 13, 2021
Will be available Wednesday
Allen (concussion) will play Wednesday against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was able to practice Tuesday, and he feels good enough to play Wednesday. He's missed the past eight games due to a concussion. In his five appearances before the concussion, Allen averaged 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 blocks in 32.8 minutes.
Apr 13, 2021
Goes through practice Tuesday
Allen (concussion) went through practice Tuesday but remains questionable for Wednesday's game in Charlotte, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
A concussion has kept the big man sidelined for the last eight games, and while coach J.B. Bickerstaff did not comment on Allen's status for Wednesday's game, it would appear that he'll have a good chance to return. Given that he hasn't played since March 26, Allen could face a soft minutes restriction once he's cleared to play. Over his last five games before the concussion, Allen averaged 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 32.8 minutes.
Apr 10, 2021
Could return Wednesday
Allen (concussion) has resumed basketball-related activities and could return Wednesday against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is likely to miss an eighth straight game Sunday against the Pelicans, but his return is on the horizon. Once he's back, he should rejoin the starting five. In March, he averaged 11.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in 31.4 minutes.
Apr 9, 2021
Remains out Saturday
Allen (concussion) won't play Saturday against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen will miss a seventh consecutive game as he continues to deal with a concussion. Kevin Love and Dean Wade could start for the Cavaliers once again with Allen and Larry Nance (illness) unavailable.
Apr 7, 2021
Won't return Thursday
Allen (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old was unable to practice Wednesday, so it's not much of a surprise he'll be sidelined for the sixth straight game due to a concussion. Kevin Love and Dean Wade are poised for another start up front with Allen and Larry Nance (illness) unavailable.

No practice Wednesday
Allen (concussion) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Evan Dammarell of SB Nation reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen hasn't been formally ruled out of Thursday's game at Oklahoma City, but this is not an encouraging sign. The big man is apparently battling a fairly severe concussion, as he's already missed a string of five games.
Apr 5, 2021
To miss another game
Allen (concussion) will not play Monday against San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
This will be the fifth consecutive absence for Allen, who remains in the league's concussion protocol. With Larry Nance (illness) also out, Kevin Love and Dean Wade will likely be set for another start together up front. Allen's next chance to play will come Thursday at Oklahoma City when the Cavs finish up a three-game road trip.
Apr 2, 2021
Out vs. Heat
Allen (concussion) is out Saturday against the Heat, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cavaliers' promising center will miss a fourth straight game while recovering from a concussion. In his absence, Kevin Love is expected to start at center.
Mar 31, 2021
Ruled out Thursday
Allen (concussion) will not play in Thursday's game against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
The writing was on the wall after Allen missed Wednesday's practice, and he's now been ruled out for the third straight contest. With Larry Nance (illness) also out and Kevin Love (calf) very much questionable, the Cavs will likely be shorthanded up front once again, meaning Isaiah Hartenstein and Dean Wade could make another start together.
Mar 31, 2021
Sits out practice Wednesday
Allen (concussion) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The big man has been dealing with a concussion since Friday's game in Los Angeles, and his absence Wednesday may foreshadow a third straight missed game when the Cavs host the Sixers on Thursday. Allen hasn't been ruled out yet, but with both he and Larry Nance (illness) missing Wednesday's session, Cleveland could again be forced to start Isaiah Hartenstein and Dean Wade up front.
Mar 28, 2021
Ruled out Monday with concussion
Allen (concussion) will not play in Monday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
It will be the second straight absence for Allen, who picked up the concussion late in Friday's loss to the Lakers, which he finished with 13 points, 11 boards and five assists in 36 minutes. Expect Larry Nance to make another start at center in Allen's place Monday.
Mar 27, 2021
Out with concussion
Allen is out for Saturday's game against the Kings due to a concussion, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen played 36 minutes during Friday's loss to the Lakers, posting an impressive 13 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block. However, he was concussed during the game and could miss more time beyond Saturday. In his absence, Dean Wade, Cedi Osman and Lamar Stevens are candidates to see extra run.
Mar 27, 2021
Notches double-double Friday
Allen finished Friday's loss to the Lakers with 13 points (4-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one blocked shot across 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Allen has tailed off a bit in the scoring department since averaging 17.3 points per game across 12 contests from Feb. 8 through March 3, but he remains a nightly double-double threat and is getting ample minutes as Cleveland's starting center. His five assists Friday were an aberration -- the big man is averaging only 1.6 dimes per game on the season -- but his ability to rack up rebounds and blocks along with a fair amount of points makes him a valuable fantasy (and real life) asset.
Mar 24, 2021
Records 19 points in win
Allen managed 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three blocks, two steals and one assist in Wednesday's win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Allen finished with his best offensive total since dropping 26 points against the Rockets on Feb. 24. The center almost tallied what would have been his third double-double over the past four games leading the team off the glass once again. Over his last four outings now, Allen is averaging 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds.
Mar 22, 2021
Just misses on double-double
Allen posted 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds and a block across 27 minutes in the loss to the Kings on Monday.
ANALYSIS
After going four straight games in which he scored fewer than 10 points, Allen has now topped double-digits in three straight though he just missed out on a third consecutive double-double. Since joining the Cavs, Allen's scoring has gone up though his rebounding has seen a slight trend downwards. Still, he's averaging 11.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in the month of March.
Mar 21, 2021
Logs 18th double-double of season
Allen posted 17 points (4-8 FG, 9-11 FT), 15 rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot across 34 minutes in Sunday's 116-105 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Since taking over for Andre Drummond at center, Allen has played excellent ball, with averages of 14.1 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots over 14 games. Larry Nance's return hasn't adversely affected his output, but Kevin Love could begin seeing time any day now. Although Love would be on a minute restriction when he returns, managers of Allen should expect a decrease in production in the coming weeks.
Mar 19, 2021
Double-double in win
Allen posted 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes during Friday's loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old now has 17 double-doubles this season. Since being traded to the Cavaliers back in January, Allen is averaging 13.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 assists while shooting 64 percent from the field in 28 games. Whether or not the Cavaliers stay in the playoff hunt, the fourth-year center should continue to start and play heavy minutes as he continues to develop his game.
Mar 13, 2021
Scores just five points Friday
Allen had five points (2-6 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and a steal in Friday's loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
While Allen struggled to make an impact offensively in his 33 minutes of action, he was able to salvage a decent fantasy line with his all-around contributions. Friday's game marked the first time since Feb. 6 that Allen failed to score at least 10 points. In his previous 12 games, he'd averaged 17.3 points, 11.6 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.6 blocks in 32.0 minutes.
Mar 3, 2021
Scores efficiently in loss
Allen scored 17 points (6-7 FG, 5-5 FT) to go along with 11 rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Allen played under 30 minutes for the first time in six games. However, he continued to score efficiently and is shooting 67.3 percent from the floor across his last 10 games. More impressive was Allen's effort from the free-throw line, as his shooting from the charity stripe has progressively deteriorated since joining the Cavaliers.
Mar 2, 2021
Puts up another double-double
Allen had 10 points (5-7 FG), 15 rebounds, an assist and a block across 31 minutes in Monday's win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Allen is firmly entrenched as the Cavaliers' starting center and continues to produce on a nightly basis -- he has eight straight double-doubles while scoring at least 20 points in three of his last six contests. Allen is a secondary scoring option behind names such as Collin Sexton and Darius Garland, but he is clearly delivering value on both ends of the court and should remain a reliable fantasy asset moving forward due to his steady role as a starter.
Feb 28, 2021
Delivers double-double
Allen recorded 14 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and a block across 37 minutes in Saturday's overtime win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of five Cavaliers players that scored in double figures here, but that has been a trend for the big man since joining Cleveland -- he has accomplished that goal in 10 straight games while also recording a double-double in seven straight outings. He has settled himself as a reliable two-way threat for the Cavaliers even if his scoring numbers are somewhat inconsistent on a game-to-game basis.
Feb 25, 2021
Plunders Rockets in blowout win
Allen finished with 26 points (10-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 18 rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 112-96 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Allen continued on his merry way, dominating a vastly undersized Rockets team. In arguably the most feel-good story of the season, Allen has finally been set free and fantasy GMs are certainly reaping the rewards. Since being installed as the full-time starter, Allen is the 11th ranked player in standard formats. Granted, this kind of production is unlikely to stick but nonetheless, there is no reason he can't continue rolling along as a third-round asset.
Feb 23, 2021
Double-double in win
Allen finished with 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 boards, four blocks, two assists, and one steal in 34 minutes of a 112-111 win against Atlanta on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his fifth straight double-double in his team's win, while also finishing with the most blocks he's recorded since February 1. The center has continued his strong play since joining the Cavs in the middle of January, including double-digit scoring in eight straight games. He'll face the Rockets on Wednesday.
Feb 21, 2021
Strong performance in loss
Allen recorded 26 points (11-11 FG, 4-7 FT), 17 rebounds, three blocks and two assists over 42 minutes in Sunday's 117-101 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Allen was perfect from the field Sunday, and he had one of his best performances of the year in the loss. He put up a season-high 26 points while leading the team with 17 rebounds. He's recorded double-doubles in five of the last six games and has established himself as a key contributor in Cleveland's starting rotation.
Feb 19, 2021
Double-double in loss
Allen scored 20 points (8-9 FG, 4-8 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block across 34 minutes in Friday's loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Allen topped 30 minutes for the fourth time with Cleveland and notched his fourth double-double in his last five games. He shot extremely well from the field, but did struggle from the free-throw line to put a damper on his otherwise strong effort. Allen has been excellent on the defensive side of the floor in 17 games with the Cavaliers by averaging 1.6 blocks and 0.4 steals.
Feb 16, 2021
Wednesday's game postponed
Allen and the Cavaliers will not play Wednesday against San Antonio after the game was postponed, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Spurs are dealing with a number of COVID-19 positives, so the league has called off their next four games. The Cavs will now have five consecutive off days before Sunday's home matchup against Oklahoma City.
Feb 16, 2021
Delivers another double-double
Allen registered 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal across 29 minutes in Monday's loss against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Allen has started four of Cleveland's last five games and has scored at least 13 points in each of those contests while also posting three double-doubles in that stretch. With Andre Drummond out of the picture due to trade negotiations, the former Nets big man is expected to get the bulk of playing time at center and that should boost his upside going forward, especially with him being a nightly double-double threat.
Feb 15, 2021
Taking over as top center
The Cavaliers plan to make Allen their starting center moving forward, as the team no longer intends to play Andre Drummond while they work to move the two-time All-Star prior to the March 25 trade deadline, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Drummond was held out for the front end of a back-to-back set in Sunday's 128-111 loss to the Clippers in what was attributed to a rest day, allowing Allen to pick up his fourth start with the Cavaliers since he was acquired from Brooklyn in mid-January. Allen turned in 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes, and that level of production -- plus regular contributions in the blocks category -- is probably a good representation of what to expect from him moving forward, now that the Cavaliers have made it clear they're not interested in having Drummond split playing time with the 22-year-old. Given that Allen is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, the rebuilding Cavaliers are incentivized to give him a long look over the next few months to determine whether he's someone who can fit well with the team's young core beyond 2020-21.
Feb 15, 2021
Double-double in loss
Allen scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-3 FT) and added 10 rebounds and three assists in the Cavaliers' 128-111 loss to the Clippers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
With Andre Drummond (rest) out of the lineup, Allen got the start at center. Allen made all six of his shots in the first half, but really struggled throughout the second half. In his first 15 games since being dealt to the Cavaliers, Allen has averaged 13.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. Drummond is expected to return to the lineup Monday, but a return to the bench doesn't affect Allen's minutes much as he is playing a consistent amount for his new team regardless of his role.
Feb 14, 2021
Starting Sunday night.
Allen will start Sunday's game against the Clippers, Kelsey Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Andre Drummond (rest) ruled out, Allen will move into the lineup at center. The big man went for 22 points, six rebounds and two blocks against Portland on Friday, and he'll likely be set for a boost in minutes Sunday night.
Feb 13, 2021
Remains effective off bench
Allen recorded 22 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-15 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes in Friday's 129-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Allen returned to the bench Friday after starting each of the past two games for the Cavaliers. While he couldn't replicate his double-double from Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets, Allen was quite effective on the scoreboard and was one of two Cavaliers to top 20 points against Portland. Across the past three games, the 22-year-old is averaging 18.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over 28.0 minutes per contest.
Feb 12, 2021
Retreats to bench
Allen isn't starting Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen started the past two games for the Cavaliers and recorded a double-double in Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets. However, he'll come off the bench in Friday's contest with Taurean Prince entering the starting lineup against Portland.
Feb 10, 2021
Picks up double-double in loss
Allen posted 18 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3PT, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block through 26 minutes in the 133-95 loss to Denver on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Allen was fantastic in his second game after joining the starting rotation. The center for the most part has played from the bench this season, but as of a few days ago, the Cavaliers wanted to make their lineup bigger. It is still hard to tell exactly what sort of production can be expected from Allen, but all signs point up as of right now.
Feb 8, 2021
To join starting five
Allen will start Monday's game against the Suns, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
The Cavs will elect to go with big with their starting five in the absence of the injured Larry Nance (finger). Allen impressed in his last start Feb. 1 against Minnesota, finishing with 23 points, 18 rebounds, five blocks and an assist in 35 minutes.
Feb 3, 2021
Versatile stat line
Allen had seven points (3-8 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal across 26 minutes off the bench during the Cavaliers' 121-99 loss to the Clippers on Tuesday night.
ANALYSIS
Allen matched a team-high by dishing out five assists. His plus-11 for the game also paced Cleveland. Despite a poor showing from Andre Drummond, Allen wasn't utilized early. Should Drummond be dealt at the deadline, Allen would potentially step into a tantalizing fantasy role.
Feb 3, 2021
Coming off bench Wednesday
Allen will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Joe Gabriele of the Cavaliers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With the return of Andre Drummond to the lineup, Allen will reassume his role as the primary backup center for the Cavaliers. The 22-year-old made the most of his first start with the team, contributing 23 points, 18 rebounds, five blocks and one assist in Monday's win over the Timberwolves. As long as Drummond is available, however, Allen isn't likely to see the kind of minutes he saw on Monday.
Feb 1, 2021
Thrives as starter Monday
Allen contributed 23 points (7-9 FG, 9-14 FT), 18 rebounds, five blocks and an assist across 35 minutes in Monday's win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Allen started for the first time since Jan. 12 due to Andre Drummond's absence due to a back injury, and he delivered one of his best performances of the campaign. The promising big man might remain in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Clippers, though his role and potential output will depend heavily on Drummond's availability.
Feb 1, 2021
To enter starting five
Allen will start Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen is set to draw his first start since Jan. 12 against Denver. He should see the lion's share of the minutes at center with Andre Drummond (back) ruled out.
Jan 29, 2021
Sniffs double-double off bench
Allen notched 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block across 26 minutes in Friday's loss against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
In a game where nothing seemed to go right for the Cavaliers, Allen's performance was quite nice -- the big man outplayed Andre Drummond in minutes and points despite coming off the bench. All signs point towards Allen grabbing a bigger role if Drummond gets traded later this season, but the former Nets center is finding ways to make an impact even when holding a bench role in most games.
Jan 24, 2021
Productive off bench Sunday
Allen posted 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and a block across 26 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of seven Cleveland players that scored in double digits, and the recently-acquired center was quite sharp on both ends of the court by missing just two shots and leading the team in rebounds. He benefited from the fact Andre Drummond played just 18 minutes in a game that was already a blowout after the first quarter, but he is staying productive regardless of his minutes out there -- he has scored in double digits in eight of his last nine games considering before and after the trade.
Jan 23, 2021
Burns former team again Friday
Allen led the Cleveland bench with 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-6 FT) and six rebounds across 19 minutes Friday in the Cavaliers' 125-113 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Since coming over from Brooklyn last week in the four-team trade that sent James Harden to the Nets, Allen has proceeded to turn in a pair of quality performances against his former team in his first two games with the Cavs. After going off for 12 points, 11 boards, four blocks, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes Wednesday in the Cavs' 147-135 win in double overtime, Allen stepped up on the offensive end in the rematch, tying his season high in scoring. As his first two outings with Cleveland illustrate, Allen should continue to remain highly productive on a per-minute basis with his new team, but his fantasy value has undoubtedly taken a hit following the trade. Unless the Cavaliers elect to move top center Andre Drummond prior to the trade deadline, Allen will likely be stuck in a timeshare at the position in a best-case scenario.
Jan 17, 2021
Debut set for Wednesday
Allen will be available to make his Cavaliers debut Wednesday versus the Nets, Brian Dulik of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen and Taurean Prince will both be able to make their debuts Wednesday, exactly one week after they were included as part of the four-team trade that sent James Harden to Brooklyn. While both Allen and Prince were present for Friday's 106-103 game against the Knicks, neither was available to play while the trade was still being finalized. Look for Allen to replace JaVale McGee as the Cavs' second-unit center Wednesday, and his arrival will also result in fewer minutes for top option Andre Drummond.
Jan 15, 2021
Doubtful for Friday
Allen (not injury related) is not expected to debut Friday against the Knicks, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
There's at least one player from the recent trade that needs to pass his physical, and that prevents all players involved from playing. Allen's debut will likely occur Wednesday against the Nets, his former team, as the Sunday and Monday games against the Wizards have been postponed.
Jan 13, 2021
Dealt to Cleveland
Allen was traded to the Cavaliers on Wednesday as part of a multi-team deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, the Nets gave up a king's ransom to acquire James Harden, sending out Allen, Caris LeVert, Taurean Prince and Rodions Kurucs, in addition to three unprotected first-round picks and four unprotected pick swaps. Rather than landing in Houston, Allen will be re-routed to Cleveland, along with teammate Taurean Prince. For Allen, it's not an ideal landing spot, given the presence of Andre Drummond, as well as Kevin Love and Larry Nance. Just over a week ago, Allen had taken over as the Nets' starting center, and he averaged 13.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in five games as the starter.
Jan 10, 2021
Double-double in loss
Allen finished with 15 points (6-7 FG, 3-3 FT), 10 boards, one assist and one block in 33 minutes against of a 129-116 loss to the Thunder on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Allen recorded his fifth double-double of the season in the loss. After failing to record a double-double in his first three games with double-digit rebounds to start the season, Allen has picked up the scoring effort. He's now scored at least 12 points in his last five games. He'll face the Nuggets on Tuesday.
Jan 9, 2021
Fills stat sheet in loss
Allen recorded 12 points (3-7 FG, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block across 30 minutes in Friday's loss against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Allen has been a double-double machine this season, reaching that feat in four of his last six games. He has made three straight starts for the Nets and has scored at least 12 points in each one while averaging 11.7 rebounds per game in that span. It's a small-sample size, but that should be enough to trust him in most formats as long as he remains in the starting lineup.
Jan 7, 2021
Averaging double-double
Allen scored 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-6 FT) to go with 11 rebounds, three assists and one block across 28 minutes in a 122-109 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Allen registered a double-double in his third straight game and second straight start as coach Steve Nash experiments with different starting lineup looks. The center kept to form and didn't attempt a field goal outside of the restricted area. Averaging a double-double this year, Allen looks to be a candidate to remain in a starting role with Deandre Jordan averaging just 4.4 points per game this season.
Jan 7, 2021
To remain in starting five
Allen will remain in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the 76ers, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen probably should've been starting over DeAndre Jordan all along, but he finally got his chance Tuesday against Utah and posted a 19-point, 18-rebound double-double with three steals and two blocks. It's possible Jordan could reclaim the center spot at some point, but for now the Nets will ride with Allen.
Jan 6, 2021
Supplies superb start vs. Jazz
Allen recorded 19 points (8-9 FG, 3-7 FT), 18 rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one assist across 32 minutes in a win versus Utah on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Allen's start assigned him to face elite defender Rudy Gobert. He held his own by recording eight rebounds and three steals more than the two-time DPOY. Allen had not started across seven previous Nets games, but Tuesday's matchup suggests that he may soon receive consistent starting time. His current season averages of 10.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks lead the team.
Jan 5, 2021
Joins starting five
Allen is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen averaged 9.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 22.9 minutes off the bench through the first seven games of the season, and he'll now receive his first start of the campaign. DeAndre Jordan will shift to the bench Tuesday.
Jan 4, 2021
Blocks four shots in double-double
Allen had 14 points (3-6 FG, 8-9 FT), 11 rebounds, four blocks and one steal during a loss to the Wizards on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Allen entered Sunday's game having produced his worst fantasy performance of the season Friday. He was more efficient on both sides of the ball Sunday, marking his first four-block double-double since Jan. 25 at Detroit. Allen will look to provide a similar performance in Tuesday's game versus Utah.
Jan 2, 2021
Minimal production in loss
Allen had just vie points (2-3 FG, 1-1 FT) and four rebounds in Friday's loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Coming off of a 15-point, 13-board double-double, Allen failed to carry over any momentum, as he had his worst fantasy performance of the season in 22 minutes off the bench. Despite the limited action behind DeAndre Jordan, Allen is still providing fantasy managers with 8.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks on the season. He's also field goal percentage buoy (66.7% FG) and an above-average free throw shooter (75% FT) for a true center.
Dec 31, 2020
Double-doubles in narrow victory
Allen ended with 15 points (6-7 FG, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 145-141 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Allen continues to come off the bench for the Nets but is proving to be the more consistent center option. DeAndre Jordan played only 15 minutes as the starter, providing very little on either end of the floor. The Nets appear intent on leaving Jordan in the opening unit, something that certainly limits Allen's fantasy upside. That said, Allen does have more appeal in a two-horse race and should be able to flirt with top-100 numbers moving forward.
Dec 25, 2020
Flirts with double-double off the bench
Allen produced nine points (2-3 FG, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, four blocked shots and an assist across 21 minutes in Friday's 123-95 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Although DeAndre Jordan drew the start at center, Allen logged more playing time and outplayed him in every category. This positional battle will be one to watch as the season continues, but in the short term, the Nets will likely continue with this timeshare in the paint.
Dec 23, 2020
Opens season in bench role
Allen came off the bench for Tuesday's opener against the Warriors, finishing with eight points (2-3 FG, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
ANALYSIS
The game was a blowout from the first quarter onward, so it may not have been the best example of what the Nets' rotation will look like over the course of the season. Nonetheless, Allen saw 20 minutes as the backup to DeAndre Jordan and turned in a productive all-around outing. For now, Jordan will likely continue to work with the first unit, but Allen is the more appealing fantasy player, assuming their minutes are split relatively evenly.
Dec 21, 2020
Set to be RFA in 2021
Allen and the Nets won't agree to a rookie extension before Monday's deadline, so he'll become a restricted free agent after the 2020-21 season, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear if the two sides ever got close to reaching a deal, and the 22-year-old will play this season on his rookie deal and hit restricted free agency next summer. Allen averaged 11.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocks in 26.5 minutes across 70 games during the 2019-20 campaign.
Aug 21, 2020
17 rebounds in Game 3
Allen recorded four points (4-4 FT), 17 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Friday's 117-92 Game 3 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Oddly, Allen did not attempt a field goal in Friday's game. It's just the fifth time in NBA history, regular season or playoffs, that a player has grabbed at least 17 boards with no field goals attempted. The only two other people to achieve the feat are, surprisingly, Wilt Chamberlain and, unsurprisingly, Dennis Rodman.
Aug 19, 2020
Excellent in Game 2
Allen recorded 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-6 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 104-99 Game 2 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen had one of the best games of his career in the loss, having never previously recorded that statline. Taking the assists out of the equation, it's just the second time (regular season or playoffs) that Allen has posted at least 14 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks. The performance also marks Allen's fifth straight double-double.
Aug 14, 2020
Records double-double in loss
Allen tallied 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-9 FT), 11 rebounds and three blocked shots across 37 minutes in Thursday's 134-133 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jusuf Murkic posed a big challenge for Allen, but he fared well on Thursday in the paint. He was especially potent in the fourth quarter, where his offensive boards allowed second and third opportunities for the Nets to score. Allen posted one of his many double-doubles against Toronto this season, which bodes well for his potential performance in the first round of the playoffs.

Will be available vs. Blazers
Allen will be available for Thursday's game against Portland, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was one of several regulars who sat out Tuesday's win over Orlando, but he went through practice Wednesday and will be available for Thursday's seeding game finale. Allen's minutes could be limited, however, as the Nets are locked into the No. 7 seed.

One of several Nets out Tuesday
Allen will not play in Tuesday's game against the Magic due to a sprained left ankle, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen played 38 minutes on the ankle during Sunday's win over the Clippers, so he'll get the day off Tuesday after the Nets clinched the No. 7 seed over the weekend. The Nets will also be without Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Jamal Crawford and Garrett Temple.

Will play Sunday
Allen will be available for Sunday's game against the Clippers, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was initially deemed doubtful, but the team reversed course after shootaround and listed him as probable. He's now been cleared to play and will presumably start at his usual center spot. Allen is coming off of a 17-point, 11-rebound, eight-assist outing against the Kings on Friday.
Aug 9, 2020
Now probable Sunday
Allen (ankle) is now listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Clippers, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was initially doubtful, but the Nets are now listing him, along with Joe Harris and Caris LeVert, as probable for Sunday night. Allen had 17 points, 11 boards and eight assists in Friday's win over the Kings.
Aug 8, 2020
Unlikely to play Sunday
Allen is doubtful Sunday against the Clippers due to a sprained left ankle, Anthony Puccio of NetsDaily.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen flirted with a triple-double during Friday's win over the Kings, but he aggravated his prior ankle injury in the process. Assuming he's out Sunday, Rodions Kurucs, Lance Thomas and Donta Hall are all candidates to see extra minutes.
Aug 8, 2020
Teases triple-double in win
Allen scored 17 points (5-9 FG, 7-10 FT) while adding 11 rebounds, eight assists and a block in 36 minutes during Friday's 119-106 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Richaun Holmes (hip) checked out of the game early for Sacramento, giving Allen a relatively free reign in the paint, and the 22-year-old nearly produced his first career triple-double in response. The eight dimes were still a new career high, and Allen could continue to get opportunities to showcase the distribution side of his game as the regular season concludes given the tattered state of the Nets' backcourt. Through four games in the bubble, the center is now averaging 16.0 points, 9.8 boards and 4.3 assists -- the latter number being more than triple his career average in that category.
Aug 7, 2020
Cleared to play
Allen (ankle) will be available Friday against the Kings, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite dealing with an ankle injury, Allen will take the court Friday. In his first three bubble appearances, he's averaging 15.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31.0 minutes.
Aug 6, 2020
Questionable with ankle sprain
Allen is questionable for Friday's game against the Kings due to a sprained left ankle, Greg Logan of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Considering Allen is the only pure center on the Nets' roster, a potential absence would cause coach Jacque Vaughn to run small-ball all game. If that's the case, Rodions Kurucs, Lance Thomas and Donta Hall could all see extra minutes.
Aug 3, 2020
Resting vs. Bucks
Allen will not play Tuesday against Milwaukee, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen played a season-high 38 minutes in Sunday's loss to Washington, and he'll get the day off Tuesday in an effort to keep him fresh as the seeding games progress. The Nets will also be without Caris LeVert (thigh) and Joe Harris (back), so they'll be severely undermanned against the league's top team.
Aug 2, 2020
Drops 22 points, 15 boards
Allen went off for 22 points (6-10 FG, 10-10 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 38 minutes during Sunday's 118-110 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen was nothing short of spectacular, cleaning up on the glass while providing an extremely efficient offensive performance. It was an important win for the Nets as they look to secure one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Still, those considering Allen for fantasy purposes heading into Tuesday's tilt against the Bucks would be wise to keep in mind that Milwaukee possesses one of the league's top defenses.
Jul 31, 2020
14 points in opener
Allen posted 14 points (7-9 FG), five rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes during Friday's 128-118 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Allen was able to find his own shot and get his teammates involved, but he couldn't stop Nikola Vucevic, and he failed to record a defensive stat. Given the number of players missing from Brooklyn, Allen should continue being a bigger offensive force than we're used to.
Jul 27, 2020
Superb showing versus Jazz
Allen accumulated 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 30 minutes during Monday's 112-107 scrimmage loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Allen turned in an extremely impressive two-way performance while notching yet another double-double. Allen, Caris LeVert and Joe Harris will be called upon to lead the charge for a Nets team that's perhaps more decimated than any other in terms of injuries and illnesses. As such, Allen is a good bet to provide ample statistical production for the remainder of the restart.
Jul 25, 2020
Another double-double
Allen registered 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 24 minutes during Saturday's 124-119 scrimmage win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Allen now has back-to-back double-doubles in two Orlando scrimmages. The 22-year-old Texas product has been playing well enough to show he can be an asset on both ends of the court when play resumes next week. He is expected to play as the starting center following DeAndre Jordan's decision to opt-out of the tournament.
Jul 22, 2020
Nets double-double
Allen notched 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 99-68 loss against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Allen was extremely effective, missing just one of his shots and one of his free throws on route to a double-double. The absence of DeAndre Jordan, who opted out after testing positive for COVID-19, has locked Allen into a starting role once the regular season resumes.
Jul 12, 2020
Set to reclaim starting role
Allen is expected to serve as the Nets' starting center when the team resumes its season July 31 versus the Magic, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The Nets will have only two regular members of their starting five (Caris LeVert and Joe Harris) available for the resumption of the season in Orlando, as all of Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Spencer Dinwiddie (illness), Kevin Durant (Achilles), DeAndre Jordan (illness), Taurean Prince (illness), Wilson Chandler (personal) and Nicolas Claxton (shoulder) won't be joining the team at the Walt Disney World complex. The absences of Jordan and Claxton leave Allen as the only true center on the roster, with the newly signed Donta Hall presumably slotting in as the top backup to Allen. Shortly before the NBA shutdown in mid-March, Allen was moved out of the starting five in favor of Jordan, who had essentially been splitting minutes with the former all season. With Jordan now out of the mix, Allen should have a real chance at approaching 30 minutes in most games if he can stay out of foul trouble, which should dramatically improve the 22-year-old's fantasy outlook moving forward. Even though Allen hasn't seen the third-y

Minutes drop in bench move
Allen came off the bench and provided 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 19 minutes Sunday in the Nets' 110-107 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Former coach Kenny Atkinson had already routinely been splitting the center minutes between Allen and DeAndre Jordan, but the 21-year-old's fantasy outlook may be even worse under new bench boss Jacque Vaughn. In his first game at the helm, Vaughn immediately swapped Allen out of the starting five in favor of Jordan, who posted a double-double (11 points, 15 rebounds) to go with three blocks in 29 minutes. The 29-34 Nets' decision to prioritize the 31-year-old Jordan over Allen may be a questionable one, but if it persists, Allen will be tough to hold in standard leagues.
Feb 27, 2020
Fouls out in 18 minutes
Allen had five points (1-2 FG, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 110-106 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Allen finished with more fouls than points and more turnovers (two) than assists. After earning the majority of minutes at center in each of the first several months this season, Allen has been overshadowed by DeAndre Jordan here in February.
Feb 24, 2020
Double-double in loss to Magic
Allen scored 16 points (8-8 FG, 0-1 FT) while adding 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 115-113 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The clanked free throw ruined his perfect shooting night, but otherwise Allen thrived by cleaning up misses by the Nets' shooters. The third-year center has double-doubles in three of the last four games, but his zero-point, two-board performance in the fourth game highlights how volatile he remains as a fantasy asset.
Feb 20, 2020
Uneffective in win
Allen finished with zero points (0-4 FG), two rebounds and two turnovers in 13 minutes during Brooklyn's 112-104 loss to the 76ers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Allen failed to finish his attempts around the basket and could not combat the physicality of Joel Embiid, leading to increased run for DeAndre Jordan. Allen had an alarming minus-15 in his 13 minutes. Regardless of the (extreme) off night, he'll remain a key fixture of the Nets' rotations.
Feb 12, 2020
Double-double in 20 minutes
Allen ended up with 10 points (3-6 FG, 4-5 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one block in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 101-91 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen had a solid outing but has now earned 20 minutes or less in four straight games. Overall he's still averaging career highs in most statistical categories, but it may be tough for him to maintain those career highs if Allen doesn't start earning more minutes than DeAndre Jordan on a more consistent basis. Still, Allen is already up to 23 double-doubles through 53 appearances this season, this after logging 24 across 80 games in 2018-19.
Feb 8, 2020
Quiet in 19 minutes
Allen had three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes during Saturday's 119-118 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Allen took a back seat to DeAndre Jordan, who racked up 15 points, 14 boards and three blocks in 29 minutes. Allen has combined to play 37 minutes across the last two contests, so it's clear coach Kenny Atkinson is willing to stick with the hot hand. Even still, Allen is usually the superior option for fantasy purposes.
Jan 26, 2020
Full line on Saturday
Allen managed 20 points (8-13 FG, 4-6 FT), 15 rebounds, four blocks, an assist and a steal in 40 minutes during Saturday's 121-111 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
The third-year center made an immediate impact on defense, stuffing Detroit rookie Sekou Doumbouya twice and star Andre Drummond once for three blocks within the game's first seven minutes. The 21-year-old would proceed to achieve just his third double-double with at least 20 points and 15 rebounds. Allen is averaging near double-double numbers this season and will look to continue his pace on the road against New York, where he scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards the last time he played at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 24.
Jan 23, 2020
Drops dud in loss to Lakers
Allen had seven points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and one block in 30 minutes during Thursday's loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Allen should continue to see a slightly larger role due to DeAndre Jordan being forced to the sidelines with a dislocated finger. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, he flopped in this one, struggling from the field, and finding himself unable to contribute much outside of those eight rebounds against Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis. The 21-year old has been a strong, shallow league-relevant player this season, but can raise his stock even higher if he avoids outings like this one, and starts to show the consistency from the free-throw line that we've seen from him over the previous two years.
Jan 20, 2020
Solid all-around showing
Allen scored 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 FT) and added 13 rebounds along with two assists, one steal and a block across 31 minutes Monday against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Allen made the most of his opportunities Monday, finishing in double figures after attempting just eight shots. He was also a force on the boards, securing 13 rebounds, though the Nets would fall 117-111. Allen has registered 10 or more rebounds in five of his last six games, collecting four double-doubles over that stretch.
Jan 13, 2020
Second straight double-double
Allen had 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-7 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during Sunday's 108-86 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
The fact that Allen has racked up double-doubles in consecutive games should represent a boost moving forward, as he averaged 9.5 points and 8.2 boards in the 11 games prior to these back-to-back double-doubles. Even if he has been inconsistent of late, Allen should remain a reliable fantasy asset in most formats due to decent rebounding stats and strong field goal percentage.
Jan 11, 2020
Earns 17th double-double
Allen had 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds, a block and a steal in 28 minutes during Friday's 117-113 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Allen only needed three quarters for all his scoring and rebounding, despite going cold statistically with a close contest in the fourth. It's still an encouraging sign, considering that the 21-year-old started from the bench Jan. 2 for poor performances and averaged pedestrian numbers (eight points and 6.7 rebounds) since returning to the starting five. The center's next game is Sunday with Atlanta, a team he dominated for 20 points and 13 rebounds on Dec. 4, a collective feat achieved only three times this season.
Nov 22, 2019
Ready to play Friday
Allen (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Kings, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen was listed as probable with a right ankle sprain after suffering and playing through the injury Wednesday, so it's no surprise he's good to go. The 21-year-old is averaging 10.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 25.6 minutes and should take his usual place in Brooklyn's starting five.
Nov 21, 2019
Probable with ankle sprain
Allen is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Kings with a right ankle sprain, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allen apparently picked up the injury during Wednesday's win over the Hornets, though it didn't seem to affect the big man, as he still finished with 22 points, 17 rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes. Look for his status to clear up closer to tip-off.
