Jay Huff Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Knicks vs Pacers game on Thursday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 8, 2025
Another four blocks Monday
Huff contributed eight points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, four blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Monday's 116-105 victory over Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Huff continues to produce on the defensive end, adding another four blocks to his growing season total. In seven games over the past two weeks, Huff has averaged 10.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 3.6 blocks in just 25.5 minutes per game. He has started six games in a row and appears to have established himself as the primary center in Indiana. If you were luck enough to have added him after a slow start to the season, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Dec 2, 2025
Blocks three shots in loss
Huff supplied 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 26 minutes during Monday's 135-119 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Huff has strung together three straight impressive performances since being elevated to the starting lineup, averaging 13.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 3.7 blocks and 3.0 threes on a blistering 52.9 percent clip in that span. Huff figures to hold on to the starting spot for the forseeable future, and has shown he is capable of elite rim protection and three-point shooting.
Nov 29, 2025
Strong two-way showing
Huff provided 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 25 minutes during Saturday's 103-101 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Huff has started at center in the Pacers' last two games, and the results have been encouraging since he's racked up 26 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and eight blocks combined across both contests. His ability to protect the rim and produce on offense might allow him to keep the starting gig for the time being, as he's been an upgrade -- both in fantasy and in real life -- over the other center options on the Pacers roster.
Nov 28, 2025
Serviceable effort in start
Huff racked up 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 22 minutes during Friday's 119-86 victory over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Huff moved back into the starting lineup, just the third time he has assumed that position all season. On the heels of some encouraging performances, Huff was rewarded and made the most of his opportunity. In three games over the past week, he has averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.7 three-pointers in 22.7 minutes per game. While the rotation could certainly change again, Huff is worth adding in standard leagues, at least for the time being.
Nov 28, 2025
Entering starting five
Huff is in the Pacers' starting lineup against the Wizards on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Huff will make his third start of the regular season Friday while Isaiah Jackson downgrades to a rotational role off the bench. Huff has scored in double digits in three of his last four outings, and over that span he has averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 threes over 24.8 minutes per game.
Nov 27, 2025
Blocks three shots in loss
Huff accumulated 10 points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and three blocks over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 97-95 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Huff blocked three shots Wednesday, bringing his total over the past 12 games to 29 blocks. Despite continuing to come off the bench, Huff has been able to put himself on the standard league radar, averaging 8.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in 24.1 minutes per game over the past three contests. He is worth a look if you are in need of some rim protection on your fantasy squad.
Nov 25, 2025
Puts up 11 in loss
Huff contributed 11 points (3-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 18 minutes during Monday's 122-117 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Huff has been steady in his role as Indiana's backup center, but has shown that he can step up when necessary, as he has played 18, 26 and 27 minutes respectively in his last three games, averaging 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 2.7 threes and a whopping 3.0 blocks in that span. While Isaiah Jackson is likely to retain the starting role, Huff's strong performances could award him with more minutes moving forward.
Nov 20, 2025
Shines with additional minutes
Huff ended Wednesday's 127-118 win over Charlotte with 20 points (7-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three blocks across 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
This was easily the best performance of the season for Huff, in his first season with the Indiana Pacers. The sharpshooting big man received the most playing time he's seen all season, and let it fly from deep while on the court. As Obi Toppin recovers from injury, outings like this one will lead to more opportunity going forward for Huff.
Nov 11, 2025
Returning to bench
Huff is on the bench against the Jazz on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Huff got the start against the Warriors on Sunday since Pascal Siakam (rest) got a maintenance day. Huff responded by posting the first double-double of his career, tallying 12 points and 11 rebounds across 22 minutes. However, Siakam is back in the lineup Tuesday, so Huff will return to the bench as a result.
Nov 10, 2025
Grabs first career double-double
Huff totaled 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 22 minutes during Sunday's 114-83 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Making his second start of the season while Pascal Siakam (rest) got a maintenance day, Huff recorded his first career double-double, with the 11 boards representing a new career high. The 28-year-old center has been a steady presence in the Pacers frontcourt rotation to begin the season, averaging 5.7 points, 3.4 boards, 1.9 blocks, 0.9 assists and 0.9 threes in just 15.2 minutes a game, and he's posted multiple blocks in four straight games.
Nov 9, 2025
Starting sans Siakam
Huff will start in Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
With Pascal Siakam (rest) sitting out the second leg of the team's back-to-back set, Huff will get the starting nod Sunday. Over his last five outings, the big man has averaged 5.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 14.4 minutes per contest.
Nov 6, 2025
Efficient output in loss Wednesday
Huff provided 16 points (5-10 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two blocks over 18 minutes during Wednesday's 112-103 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Huff drained four of his nine three-pointers Wednesday and scored at a pace of nearly one point per minute despite coming off the bench. This 16-point output could easily end up being an outlier for Huff, however, as he had scored 25 points combined over his first seven appearances this season (one start). Fantasy managers shouldn't overreact after one game, and Huff is better suited to remain on waivers until he shows he can put up these numbers on a semi-consistent basis.
Oct 29, 2025
Swats four shots in 21 minutes
Huff notched five points (2-6 FG), two rebounds, two assists, one three-pointer and four blocks in 21 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 107-105 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Huff had failed to send away any shots in his previous two outings, but he racked up the swats in this and saw a season-high in minutes. If he could consistently flirt with 20 minutes a night, Huff would be worth rostering in deep leagues as a shot-blocking specialist.
Oct 29, 2025
Bench role Wednesday
Huff will come off the bench during Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
After starting Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Huff will be in the second unit. The Virginia product is averaging 3.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 50 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from deep as a reserve this season.
Oct 26, 2025
Doesn't do much in spot start
Huff finished with five points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt) over 16 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
With both Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) and Bennedict Mathurin (foot) unavailable for Sunday's game, the Pacers opted to go big and slid Pascal Siakam over to the three-spot with Huff and Isaiah Jackson starting in the frontcourt. However, Huff and Jackson combined to play 30 minutes, and neither guy was particularly impressive. Jackson finished with six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two turnovers and nothing else over 15 minutes.
Oct 26, 2025
Starting Sunday
Huff will start in Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With several players sidelined for Sunday's contest, Huff will get the starting nod for the injury-plagued Pacers. The big man has averaged 3.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 11.0 minutes per game over two appearances this season.
Oct 24, 2025
Only 12 minutes Thursday
Huff had five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds and two blocks over 12 minutes during Thursday's 141-135 double-overtime loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Huff came off the bench and played just 12 minutes despite the fact that Isaiah Jackson played just eight minutes as the starter. The Pacers went with a mobile frontcourt in this one, with Obi Toppin logging a whopping 40 minutes. Both Huff and Jackson are trending in the wrong direction, although they are worth monitoring, just in case this was an outlier.
Oct 12, 2025
Blocks three shots in preseason win
Huff produced eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 FT), three blocks, two rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes during Saturday's preseason win over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Huff came off the bench behind Isaiah Jackson, but logged 17 minutes compared to Jackson's 12. The starting center spot remains wide open following the trade of Myles Turner to the Bucks. While Jackson appears as though he could have the inside running at this point, Huff certainly offers more versatility on the offensive end. Both are worth considering as late-round flyer in standard leagues.
Jul 5, 2025
Traded to Indiana
The Grizzlies have traded Huff to the Pacers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Memphis received a second-round draft pick and a second-round pick swap in exchange for Huff. He'll help fill the void left in the frontcourt following Myles Turner's decision to sign with the Bucks. This will be the Virginia product's fifth NBA team, as he has had previous stints with the Lakers, Wizards and Nuggets. During the 2024-25 campaign with the Grizzlies, Huff averaged 6.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Apr 6, 2025
Fails to score in win
Huff accumulated zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt) over six minutes during Saturday's 109-103 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Huff failed to score for the fifth straight game, two of which he failed to leave the bench. Despite a season-ending knee injury to Brandon Clarke, Huff has been unable to find a path to consistent minutes. In his past 12 games, Huff is averaging 6.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per game.
Mar 26, 2025
Excels after Jackson's exit
Huff contributed 15 points (6-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one block across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 140-103 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Huff led a huge run in the third quarter after stepping in for Jaren Jackson. He posted 12 points, two rebounds and a block during the stanza and was a key factor in putting the game out of reach. Huff is buried on the depth chart, but the team's choice to use him immediately after Jackson's exit shows that he may have a leg up on Zach Edey in the rotation.
Mar 12, 2025
Not starting vs. Utah
Huff is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Huff will return to his regular role off the bench due to the return of Zach Edey (ankle). Huff is averaging 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game when coming off the bench this season.
Mar 11, 2025
Scores 14 points in spot start
Huff logged 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds and two blocks over 25 minutes during Monday's 120-118 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Huff made his second start of the season Monday due to the absences of Zach Edey (ankle) and Jaren Jackson (ankle), and he made the most of the opportunity. His fantasy upside will be tied to the availability of Edey going forward, though, so fantasy managers who trusted in Huff as a streaming should be cautious when judging his upside going forward.
Mar 10, 2025
Starting Monday vs. Phoenix
Huff is in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Suns on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Huff has seen inconsistent playing time with the Grizzlies, but the big man will make his second start of the season Monday due to the absences of Zach Edey (ankle) and Jaren Jackson (ankle). Huff's first start was Nov. 13 against the Lakers, and he finished that game with six points, three rebounds, one block and one steal over 13 minutes.
Mar 5, 2025
Recalled to NBA
The Grizzlies recalled Huff from the G League's Memphis Hustle on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Huff logged 33 minutes in Tuesday's 118-108 G League loss to the South Bay Lakers, finishing with 21 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and four blocks. He was recalled right after the game and will continue to provide emergency depth at the NBA level, although he could be asked to step up in the absence of Jaren Jackson (ankle).
Feb 4, 2025
Back in rotation Monday
Huff totaled no counting stats in one minute during Monday's 128-109 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Huff played a grand total of one minute, continuing his rapid fall from grace. After earlier in the season making a name for himself with some intriguing performances, Huff has barely been in the rotation of late, playing fewer than 10 minutes in six straight games. Even with Brandon Clarke (back) sidelined, the fact Huff was only used sparingly during garbage time does not bode well for his long-term role.
Jan 16, 2025
Scores 11 points in return
Huff ended with 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), one rebound and one block across 11 minutes during Wednesday's 129-115 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Huff returned from a one-game absence, adding depth to the center rotation in Memphis. The team is currently running with Huff, Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke, limiting the opportunities for all three. Whatever they are doing seems to be working, meaning Huff is unlikely to move into a sizeable role, at least not with the team's current mindset.
Jan 15, 2025
Upgraded to available
Huff (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Huff is good to go despite managing a knee injury, though it's not a certainty he'll take the court against San Antonio after sitting out Monday's loss to Houston as a coach's decision. The 26-year-old big man is averaging 7.6 points, 0.7 blocks and 1.6 threes while shooting 44.0 percent from three-point range over his last seven appearances.
Jan 14, 2025
Probable for Wednesday
Huff (knee) is probable for Wednesday's matchup against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Huff is dealing with left knee soreness, though he is expected to suit up Wednesday. The big man was held out of Monday's loss to the Rockets due to a coach's decision, and over his last five outings, he has averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per contest. Huff will likely continue to receive little playing time unless injuries arise at the center position.
Jan 13, 2025
Good to go Monday
Huff (knee) is available for Monday's game against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Huff will suit up after having been deemed probable for Monday's contest due to left knee soreness. The big man has seen inconsistent playing time of late, and over his last five outings, he has averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per contest.
Jan 12, 2025
Probable for Monday
Huff is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Rockets due to left knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
Huff's knee soreness seems to be a new ailment, but it likely won't be enough to keep him sidelined Monday. Huff has seen inconsistent minutes of late, and he seems to be trending toward a smaller role as the team gets healthy. He has averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.8 minutes over his last five appearances.
Jan 7, 2025
Boost in minutes
Huff provided 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and two steals across 28 minutes during Monday's 119-104 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Huff is averaging 15.3 minutes per game this season off the bench. However, during Monday's win against the Mavericks, he saw an increased role, taking starter Zach Edey's spot in the second half. Huff continues to be a force from deep, going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, where he's shooting an impressive 42.7 percent this season.
Dec 30, 2024
Scores 17 off bench
Huff produced 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 17 minutes during Sunday's 130-106 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
With Zach Edey (concussion), Santi Aldama (ankle) and Brandon Clarke (knee) all sidelined, Huff stepped up for the shorthanded Grizzlies in his largest workload since Dec. 8. Huff has made the most of his limited minutes all season and will be on the streaming radar unless the Grizzlies get some reinforcements back for Tuesday's game against the Suns.
Dec 27, 2024
Limited in return Friday
Huff had seven points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in 13 minutes during Friday's 132-124 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Huff returned from a four-game absence, playing a limited role off the bench. Despite somewhat of a coming out party earlier in the season, Huff has struggled to carve out a consistent role. With Zach Edey continuing to develop and Brandon Clarke playing well as a makeshift center, it is unclear whether Huff will find a path to meaningful minutes with the current roster construction in Memphis.
Dec 27, 2024
Playing Friday against NOLA
Huff (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Huff is set to return Friday from a four-game absence due to a left ankle sprain. In the 10 games prior to his injury, he averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 rebounds over 16.1 minutes per contest. Huff will join Brandon Clarke in providing big man depth off the Grizzlies' bench behind rookie starter Zach Edey.
Dec 27, 2024
Iffy Friday vs. Pelicans
Huff (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Huff is in jeopardy of missing his fifth consecutive outing due to a sprained left ankle. If the 27-year-old joins Santi Aldama (ankle), Vince Williams (ankle) and GG Jackson (foot) on the sideline, Jake LaRavia and Brandon Clarke should continue to receive a slight uptick in playing time off the bench
Dec 25, 2024
Remains out
Huff (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Huff hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury during a Dec. 15 loss to the Lakers. His next chance to suit up will come Friday in New Orleans.
Dec 22, 2024
Out for Monday
Huff (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Huff will miss a third consecutive game due to a left ankle sprain. His next opportunity to suit up comes Thursday against the Raptors.
Dec 20, 2024
Won't play against Atlanta
Huff (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Huff will be sidelined for a second straight game due to a left ankle sprain, and his next opportunity to play will be against the Clippers on Monday. Huff's absence should mean more minutes for Brandon Clarke and Santi Aldama off the bench.
Dec 18, 2024
Ruled out for Thursday
Huff is out for Thursday's game against the Warriors due to a left ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Huff will miss a game for the first time this season. However, his absence won't impact the Grizzlies' rotation significantly. The big man is averaging just 14.6 minutes per game in December, putting up 3.7 points and 0.7 rebounds per contest.
Dec 15, 2024
Good to go
Huff (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Lakers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff carried a questionable tag into Sunday's contest due to left knee soreness, but he will officially be active. Huff could see a decreased role going forward due to Zach Edey (ankle) being back in the lineup.
Dec 14, 2024
Questionable to play Sunday
Huff is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers with left knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
Huff could be in danger of missing a game for the first time this season. The big man has seen steady minutes off the bench for Memphis, but he isn't playing enough to be relevant in most fantasy formats. He's averaging 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game over his last 10 appearances, all of them coming off the bench.
Dec 9, 2024
Pours in 17 points
Huff supplied 17 points (6-14 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Huff had the hot hand off the bench as he produced his 14th game of the season with double-digit points. His lack of peripheral stats makes him a tough sell outside of deeper formats, however, as he's averaging 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.6 blocks and 1.8 three-pointers through five December outings.
Dec 4, 2024
Fails to impress again
Huff totaled eight points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 121-116 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Huff continues to play as the primary backup behind fill-in starter Brandon Clarke. While it has been a great opportunity for Huff, his production of late has been trending in the wrong direction. Over the past three games, he has averaged just 5.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 combined steals and blocks in 13.3 minutes per game. With Zach Edey a chance to return from an ankle injury in the near future, Huff's opportunity could be about to come to an unceremonious end.
Nov 20, 2024
Limited minutes in loss
Huff supplied six points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound across 13 minutes during Tuesday's 122-110 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Huff managed just 13 minutes despite the fact the Grizzlies were without Zach Edey due to an ankle injury. While Brandon Clarke continues to start at center, there had been some hope that Huff would step into a larger role. Up against a Nuggets team without their own starting center, this may have been an unfortunate matchup for Huff. He remains an elite per-minute producer and while this was not a great start, his role is worth monitoring moving forward.
Nov 15, 2024
Moves back to bench
Huff is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Warriors, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff will return to the bench for this game with Brandon Clarke (toe) returning to the first unit. Huff is averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game when coming off the bench in 11 appearances this season.
Nov 13, 2024
Making first career start
Huff is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
A 27-year-old journeyman and longtime G League standout, Huff will make his first career NBA start Wednesday. He's shined in a reserve role for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks across 15.6 minutes per game. While he'll be part of the first unit, Huff is expected to play 20-25 minutes as Memphis will look to mix Zach Edey in at the five-spot.
Nov 7, 2024
Efficient in victory
Huff recorded 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one block in 14 minutes during Wednesday's 131-114 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Huff has now scored double-digit points in five of his nine appearances this season while coming off the bench. The 27-year-old big man is averaging 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 assists in 15.3 minutes. While Huff will likely come back down to Earth with his outside shooting, he is converting converting 52.9 percent of his 3.8 three-point attempts per contest.
Nov 3, 2024
Shines off bench
Huff recorded 20 points (7-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 14 minutes during Saturday's 124-107 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Huff dominated in the post in Saturday's win, making 70.0 percent of his tries from the field while also contributing at the rim with a swat. Playing time has been somewhat limited for the big man so far this season behind Zach Edey, so while his most recent appearance was impressive, it's unfair to expect this type of production from Huff moving forward.
Oct 28, 2024
Getting standard NBA contract
The Grizzlies are converting Huff's two-way contract into a four-year standard NBA deal Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff has been excellent off Memphis' bench to begin the campaign, averaging 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 19.0 minutes across three appearances. The Virginia product went undrafted in 2021 and has spent most of his career bouncing around the G League, making only 30 NBA regular-season appearances over the previous three seasons. He won the 2023 G League Defensive Player of the Year award and is looking to maintain a sizable role in a backcourt led by Jaren Jackson and Zach Edey.
Oct 27, 2024
Scores 18 points Saturday
Huff closed with 18 points (7-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and one block in 19 minutes during Saturday's 124-111 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Huff has been impressive through three regular-season games, and he has averaged 13.0 points and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent from the field across 19.0 minutes per game. The 27-year-old is on a two-way pact and buried in a deep Memphis frontcourt, though his play thus far bodes well for his playing time outside of the G League.
Oct 11, 2024
Generates 15 points from bench
Huff produced 15 points (5-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and a steal across 23 minutes in Thursday's 119-94 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Huff is trying to stay out of the G League and despite a crowded depth chart above him, Thursday's diverse line goes a long way toward his goal. He's now with his fourth team in his fourth season, and the Virginia product demonstrates special skills as a shooter and defender when given the opportunity, but only time will tell if he can impress enough to log some games with the big club.
Jul 24, 2024
Joins Memphis on two-way deal
Huff and the Grizzlies agreed to a two-way contract Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Huff has struggled to gain his footing in the NBA, having had stints with the Lakers, Wizards and Nuggets for a total of 31 appearances. He's likely to spend the bulk of his time with the Hustle in the G League this season.
Mar 26, 2024
Rare appearance Monday
Huff racked up zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one block in three minutes during Monday's 128-103 win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Huff closed the game Monday, logging three minutes in garbage time. Having played just three games over the past month, Huff is about as far from a fantasy target as you will find. Managers are well within their rights to ignore this performance.
Feb 25, 2024
Off injury report
Huff (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Huff found himself on the injury report with a right knee issue, but he has been cleared to play ahead of gametime. Huff's availablity likely won't impact the rotation.
Feb 24, 2024
Probable for Sunday
Huff is probable for Sunday's game against the Warriors with right knee inflammation.
ANALYSIS
Huff's status is unlikely to impact most fantasy formats, as he's averaged 2.9 minutes across 10 appearances.
Oct 31, 2023
Good to go Wednesday
Huff (ribs) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Huff will be available to make his season debut Wednesday after missing the Nuggets' first four contests with a rib injury. However, Huff isn't expected to receive much playing time in Denver's rotation.
Oct 30, 2023
Won't play Monday
Huff (ribs) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff hasn't yet made his debut for the Nuggets and will be unavailable for the second half of a back-to-back set Monday. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but he's unlikely to have a prominent role off the bench once he's healthy.
Oct 28, 2023
Remains out
Huff (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Huff has yet to debut for the Nuggets this season, and considering he has made just 11 appearances at the NBA level over the previous two campaigns, he's not likely to play a consistent role off the bench when healthy. Huff's next chance to play will come against the Jazz on Monday in the second half of a back-to-back set.

ANALYSIS
Huff will be unavailable for a second consecutive game to begin the regular season as he continues to deal with a rib fracture. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but his continued absence shouldn't significantly impact the Nuggets' rotation.

Doesn't play Thursday
Huff (ribs) didn't play in Thursday's 103-90 preseason win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Huff missed a third straight preseason game due to a rib fracture. His status for the regular season remains unclear, but his potential absence shouldn't have an impact on Denver's rotation. The versatile big man is operating under a two-way deal this season and is expected to spend most of the 2023-24 campaign in the G League.

Joins Denver via two-way deal
Huff signed a two-way deal with the Nuggets on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff has made only 11 NBA appearances over the last two years -- split between the Lakers and Wizards. However, the seven-footer out of Virginia has been a dominant force in the G League, which is likely where he'll spend most of the 2023-24 campaign.

Out Sunday
Huff will not be available for Sunday's regular-season finale as he's run out of days on his two-way contract, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Daniel Gafford (ankle) will also be unavailable for Sunday's game, leaving the Wizards very thin up front. Xavier Cooks could be forced into major minutes, and with four steals over the past two games, he could be someone to think about streaming if you need some help in that category.

Excels again in backup role
Huff posted 14 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes in Wednesday's 134-116 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Huff has supplanted Taj Gibson for the backup center role in both of the Wizards' past two games, and based on how he's performed, the 24-year-old Virginia production looks poised to remain Daniel Gafford's top understudy for the final two contests of the season. He followed up a 17-point, nine-rebound performance in Tuesday's 140-128 loss to the Timberwolves with another solid line in the second leg of the back-to-back set, and Huff actually outpaced Gafford (23 minutes) in terms of playing time.

Scores career-best 17
Huff chipped in 17 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Tuesday's 140-128 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Appearing in his fifth contest this season and the ninth of his career, Huff posted a career-best night. He was freshly crowned as the G League DPOY, and he's a viable two-way bench big for the Wizards.

Plays 24 minutes in season finale
Huff registered 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and two blocks across 24 minutes in Saturday's win over Westchester.
ANALYSIS
Huff posted a decent stat line but didn't log heavy minutes, as Capital City already locked up a playoff spot. The big man should be one of the Go-Go's most prominent offensive weapons in the postseason after he averaged 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game across nine outings with Capital City in the regular season. That was an uptick in numbers compared to the 14.3 points per game he averaged across 19 outings with the South Bay Lakers earlier in the campaign.

Inks two-way deal with Washington
The Wizards signed Huff to a two-way contract Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff has been playing in the G League for the South Bay Lakers and is averaging 15.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in 27.7 minutes across 37 appearances. The Virginia product made his NBA debut last season for the Lakers but averaged just 5.0 minutes across four games and never scored a point. He initially signed with Washington has an undrafted free agent after the 2021 NBA Draft and will get another chance in the organization during the stretch run of the 2022-2023 regular season.

Let go by Lakers
Huff was waived by the Lakers on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Huff will likely rejoin the South Bay Lakers, where he averaged 15.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes in 28 games. Huff started every game and will likely do so again this season.

Inks Exhibit 10 with Lakers

In 28 regular-season games (all starts), he averaged 15.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes. He'll join the Lakers for camp but will probably see most of his action in the G League again next season.
