Unless significant injuries occur ahead of him in the depth chart, Strawther is likely best to be left on the waiver wire.

Strawther scored nine of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, as he took advantage of the lopsided score. Nikola Jokic led the starters in minutes played with 28, so Denver's second unit of Strawther, Peyton Watson, Reggie Jackson and Zeke Nnaji were all able to do some damage late. Strawther's role for most of December has been pretty sporadic, and he's hitting just 39.7 percent from the field through nine contests.

Strawther logged 16 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 114-106 win over the Bulls.

With Nikola Jokic being ejected and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leaving early with a heady contusion, Strawther stepped up in Denvers' win over Chicago on Tuesday. The rookie forward is averaging 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists in 25.5 minutes across his last two outings. If Strawther can maintain consistent production, he could become one of the Nugget's most important bench pieces.

Strawther chipped in 22 points (8-16 FG, 6-11 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and five steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 129-122 victory over the Hawks.

Strawther came out firing off the bench, and the Nuggets rode his hot hand in Monday's tight road win over Atlanta. As a result, Strawther posted a season-high mark in both minutes played and points scored. However, he's not expected to score in double digits off the bench regularly, as he's achieved that feat just four times in the current campaign. Fantasy managers should temper their expectations with the rookie out of Gonzaga, as there's a strong chance this game might have been an outlier and not a sign to come for him soon.

Strawther racked up 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and three steals in 19 minutes during Sunday's 132-120 victory over the Spurs.

Aaron Gordon (heel) and Jamal Murray (hamstring) were sidelined for this contest, allowing Strawther to handle an increased workload. The rookie has played at least 15 minutes in four of Denver's last five games, averaging 5.6 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds during that stretch. However, Gordon and Murray are expected to return to action this week, so Strawther's path to consistent playing time won't be as easy.

Strawther amassed 21 points (8-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes during Monday's 134-116 win over the Pelicans.

The Nuggets had to manage without Jamal Murray (hamstring), and his absence could extend well into next week. Reggie Jackson was expected to absorb a lot of Murray's output, but Strawther came off the bench and provided support to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who took on more of the floor general role as the game progressed. The 2023 first-round pick out of Gonzaga has proven to be a valuable asset for Denver, as he's versatile enough to play a variety of roles with the second unit.

Strawther racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two blocks and one steal in 16 minutes during Wednesday's 110-89 loss to the Timberwolves.

Strawther played double-digit minutes off the bench for the first time this season Wednesday, but he wasn't very efficient from the floor. While he had some defensive success through his two blocks, he's unlikely to have much fantasy upside this year unless the Nuggets deal with injuries at some point.

Strawther (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game versus the Lakers.

Strawther is good to go Tuesday despite missing Denvers' preseason finale with a right ankle sprain. The rookie forward will likely compete for a depth role in the Nuggets' forward rotation.

Strawther has been one of the standout performers during preseason action, so his absence from Denver's final exhibition is a bummer. The severity of the sprain remains unclear, but his status for the start of the regular season could be in jeopardy. While the rookie has been playing well, Denver is one of the deepest teams in the NBA, so even when he's healthy, Strawther's path to playing time is crowded.

Strawther will return to the bench for Thursday's preseason game against the Clippers.

Strawther has turned a lot of heads in the preseason, averaging 17.8 points and 3.5 three-pointers through three games so far. He has made a very strong case to be in the rotation on Opening Night, but a role is not guaranteed on the defending champions.

The 29th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft continues to turn heads during the preseason. Strawther has now scored 20, 16 and 23 points, respectively in his three exhibitions contests, picking up where he left off after an impressive showing at Summer League in July. Over that three-game run, Strawther has drained 12-of-24 attempts from beyond the arc. While it's unclear how much of a role he'll carve out to open the regular season, Strawther has, at the very least, forced his name into the conversation for some reserve minutes on the wing. Strawther's primary competition for minutes figures to come from Christian Braun and Justin Holiday.

Strawther compiled 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 115-107 win over the Suns.

Denver's 2023 first-round pick had an excellent Summer League, and based on Tuesday's game, it looks like the Gonzaga product will make a play for a substantial spot in the team's rotation. Unlike the Suns, who sat most of their starters, the Nuggets put their starting lineup on the court, furthering the narrative of Strawther's potential presence in the second or third unit. He put together a much better line than fellow draftee Hunter Tyson, who scored zero points in 29 minutes on the floor.

Strawther tallied 25 points (8-16 FG, 5-11 3PT, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, two assists a a steal and a block across 32 minutes of Saturday's 89-86 win over the Knicks.

Strawther showcased his shooting ability Saturday, knocking down five of his 11 attempts from beyond the arc while finishing with a team-high nine rebounds. The Gonzaga product has put together a strong summer thus far but will likely have a hard time finding a spot in the rotation for the reigning NBA Champion Nuggets.

Strong performance aside, it's hard to imagine Strawther being in the rotation for Opening Night.
