George led the Wizards' bench in scoring in an efficient outing from the field Monday. However, the rookie received limited playing time in his third consecutive contest off the bench, during which he has averaged 10.0 points, 2.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting only 34.8 percent from the field in 21.3 minutes per contest.

George ended with 12 points (4-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 minutes during Friday's 138-105 loss to the Bulls.

George returned to the bench after starting in the Wizards' previous two outings, but the rookie out of Miami responded by delivering his first double-digit scoring performance since Dec. 28. George has logged at least 20 minutes in all but one of his previous 11 appearances, so he's seeing enough playing time to be valuable in deep formats, but he's averaging only 6.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and a combined 1.5 steals-plus-blocks in that span while shooting a woeful 32.9 percent from the floor. Those numbers won't take him too far in fantasy, essentially limiting his upside to deep formats.

George is not in the Wizards' starting lineup against the Bulls on Friday.

George started in the Wizards' last two games and averaged 6.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals over 27.5 minutes per contest in those starts. However, George will come off the bench Friday due to Jordan Poole returning from a hip injury.

George will start Tuesday's game against the Rockets.

George is averaging just 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.1 threes in 23.8 minutes per game while shooting 32.2 percent from the field across his last nine games, but the rookie first-rounder is set to soak up additional usage against Houston and is worth a look as a streamer in most fantasy leagues.

Although George started the second half for the injured Malcolm Brogdon (foot) on Sunday, the rookie first-rounder went a brutal 0-for-7 from the field while Jared Butler scored 17 points in just 20 minutes off the bench. George was one of three Wizards rotation players back in action Thursday following multi-game absences due to injury, with Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Corey Kispert (ankle) also returning to the mix. Though the Wizards were still down a key starting forward in Kyle Kuzma (rib), two-way player Justin Champagnie maintained a spot on the top unit and saw 27 minutes, while George's playing time was more suppressed as he filled a bench role. The rookie first-round pick was a plus-9 during his time on the court but didn't offer much in the way of meaningful numbers in his return from the four-game absence due to a sprained left ankle.

In his six appearances as a starter this season, the rookie first-rounder is averaging 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 31.7 minutes per game.

George won't start Wednesday's game against the Clippers.

With Jordan Poole back in action after a two-game absence, George will shift to the bench. As a reserve this season (10 games), George has averaged 6.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.9 blocks in 25.1 minutes per game.

George supplied 15 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes during Sunday's 115-103 loss to the Pacers.

George has shown the ability to make an impact on both ends of the court in the early stages of his career, but his scoring numbers have been better than expected, and that should boost his upside. George has scored in double digits in three of his last four contests, averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in that span.

George will come off the bench in Friday's game in Memphis.

George's return to the bench will snap a string of three consecutive starts. He has averaged 3.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks across 22.8 minutes in three games as a reserve this season.

George totaled 20 points (7-19 FG, 6-17 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Monday's 125-112 loss to Golden State.

George's 20 points is a new career-high mark, as well as his workload of 38 minutes and six three-point makes. With Kyle Kuzma sidelined by a groin issue, George has been getting an extended look in the rotation. He has struggled overall, however, as he's shooting 31.5 percent from the field, 20.5 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the line through six games.

George is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

George enters Wednesday's contest averaging 23.0 minutes per game through Washington's first three contests -- representing an impressive and quick rise to the rotation for the rookie. Despite being the 24th overall selection in the 2024 Draft, George's size and shooting has immediately found a niche.

George supplied two points (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 27 minutes during Saturday's 135-116 loss to the Cavaliers.

George failed to make a shot from the field and is 2-for-13 to start his career. However, his four blocked shots Saturday give fantasy managers a glimpse of what the rookie brings defensively. He's played at least 20 minutes off the bench in back-to-back games to start his career and should continue to get consistent playing time for a rebuilding Wizards squad.

George will enter the starting lineup in Friday's preseason finale against the Knicks.

With Corey Kispert (back) and Bilal Coulibaly (finger) ruled out, George will return to the starting lineup. The 20-year-old will likely struggle to find significant playing time unless injuries arise in the regular season, though if the team struggles it would not be shocking to see the rookie receive an uptick in minutes.

George isn't starting Monday's preseason game against the Nets.

George drew a spot start Friday and put together an efficient line, but he'll shift back to a bench role with Washington testing out a new starting lineup. George should still see a healthy workload off the bench during Monday's exhibition.

George was impressive on both ends of the floor, dropping a team-high 14 points to go with four defensive stats. Taken with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, George is an intriguing, yet largely unproven prospect. While this was an encouraging performance, it's hard to envisage him seeing enough minutes to warrant fantasy attention, at least to begin the season.

The Knicks (via Dallas) initially owned the pick before the Wizards offered up the No. 26 pick and the No. 51 pick in order to move up two spots, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. George averaged 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game as a freshman at Miami last season and was somewhat of a surprising one-and-done player. At 6-7 with a 6-10 wingspan, George has intriguing size and length, and he hit better than 40 percent of his catch-and-shoot threes last season. With that said, he's ultimately a project player at this stage, so Washington is a decent landing spot.
