Not starting vs. Houston
Christie won't start against the Rockets on Saturday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With P.J. Washington (ankle) back in action and Naji Marshall remaining in the starting five, Christie will join the second unit for the first time since Oct. 26. In three outings off the bench so far this season, the 22-year-old swingman has averaged 11.7 points in 27.3 minutes per contest.
Dec 2, 2025
Muted performance in win
Christie racked up nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Monday's 131-121 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Christie continues to see sizable workloads for the Mavericks. His output over the past couple weeks has left a lot to be desired, however. Over his last seven outings, he holds averages of 12.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 2.7 three-pointers per game.
Nov 25, 2025
Back in double figures
Christie registered 15 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block in 30 minutes during Monday's 106-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Christie has scored in double figures in 15 of his past 17 appearances. While he appears to have a firm hold on a starting spot ahead of veteran Klay Thompson, Christie has played at least 30 minutes three times over his past six outings after reaching that plateau in eight of his previous 10 appearances.
Nov 22, 2025
Drains five threes, scores 23
Christie logged 23 points (7-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 118-115 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Cooper Flagg led the way for the Mavericks with a career-high mark in scoring Friday, but Christie was one of several role players who stepped up for Dallas in this tight win between two struggling teams. Christie was particularly locked in from three-point range, and his five threes were a season-high mark for him. He's made at least three three-pointers in six of his last seven outings, shooting an impressive 47.6 percent from beyond the arc in that span.
Nov 20, 2025
Bounces back with 15 points
Christie accumulated 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 113-111 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
After being nearly invisible in Monday's loss to the Timberwolves with one point and one assist in 19 minutes, Christie returned to his usual level of production Wednesday. Over 13 games since shifting into the starting five for the Mavs. the fourth-year guard is averaging 12.4 points, 4.2 boards, 2.7 assists, 2.5 threes and 1.1 combined steals and blocks in 30.8 minutes a contest.
Nov 18, 2025
Plays just 19 minutes in loss
Christie finished Monday's 120-96 loss to Minnesota with one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and one assist across 19 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Christie's 12-game streak of scoring at least 10 points sadly came to an end Monday, as his only point came from splitting a pair of free-throws. Christie has scored at least nine points in every game this season leading up to Monday's clash with Minnesota, and he likely only played 19 minutes due to the blowout nature of the game, so expect him to bounce back Wednesday against the Knicks.
Nov 11, 2025
Extends scoring run
Christie provided 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 30 minutes during Monday's 116-114 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Another game, another instance where Christie scores in double digits while hitting multiple three-pointers. This was his ninth straight game with double-digit points, and the former Michigan State star has drained two or more threes seven times in that span. Christie is averaging 14.0 points, 3.6 boards and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 42.6 percent from the floor in that nine-game stretch.
Nov 8, 2025
Scores 18, drains four threes
Christie racked up 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one block over 28 minutes during Friday's 118-104 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Christie has started in each of the Mavericks' last six games and has done a good job after scoring in double digits each time. This 18-point output was a season-high mark for the fourth-year forward. Christie should remain a valuable fantasy asset as long as he stays in a starting role. He's averaging 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game when deployed in the first unit.
Nov 4, 2025
Dishes six assists in loss
Christie accumulated 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes during Monday's 110-102 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Christie drew the start again and did not disappoint, draining three triples en route to 17 points and handing out six dimes. In four starts this season, Christie is averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.3 blocks and 2.5 threes made on an efficient 53.8 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc. While his free-throw shooting may need some work, averaging 66.7 percent from the line, this statline has been amazing and Dallas should continue to have him in the starting lineup while Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) recover from their respective injuries.
Nov 2, 2025
Scores 13 in loss
Christie registered 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and five assists over 33 minutes during Saturday's 122-110 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Christie made his third straight start Saturday and notched his fourth consecutive double-digit scoring effort. The Michigan State product has opened the season strong in the scoring department, averaging 12.0 points on 53.3 percent shooting from the field and 50.0 percent from three through six games. While the 22-year-old may shift back to a bench role once Dallas is fully healthy, he's proven to be a reliable contributor in the starting lineup with Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) dealing with injuries.
Oct 27, 2025
Starting sans Lively
Christie will start in Monday's game against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Dereck Lively (knee) sidelined, Christie will enter the starting lineup. The 22-year-old swingman has provided a spark off the bench for the Mavericks through three regular-season games, averaging 11.7 points while shooting 60.0 percent from beyond the arc in 27.3 minutes per contest.
Oct 27, 2025
Strong impact off bench
Christie closed Sunday's 139-129 victory over the Raptors with 17 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Klay Thompson continues to struggle for the Mavericks and his minutes are taking a hit. Meanwhile, Christie is shooting 57.9 percent from the field through three games with averages of 11.7 points, 1.7 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers in 27.4 minutes per game. This position battle is swinging in Christie's favor despite Thompson's deep resume.
Oct 12, 2025
Shot goes missing Saturday
Christie amassed six points (2-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes during Saturday's preseason loss to Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Christie struggled to find his footing on the offensive end, a worrying sign coming off what was a disappointing end to the 2024-25 season. Despite the injury to Kyrie Irving (knee), Christie's role this season is likely to be somewhat limited. His overall skill set does him no favors, leaving him as more of a modest scoring threat off the bench.
Oct 7, 2025
Looks sharp in 15 minutes
Christie logged 12 points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three assists and two rebounds in 15 minutes of Monday's 106-89 preseason win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Coach Jason Kidd really spread the minutes out Monday, making it hard to get a good read on the entire rotation. That being said, Christie is projected to be a big part of the second unit and has drawn praise from Kidd during training camp for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions. The Mavericks are much deeper in 2025-26, however, so Christie is unlikely to duplicate his success from a minutes standpoint.
Apr 14, 2025
Scores 14 points in loss Sunday
Christie finished with 14 points (6-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Sunday's 132-97 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks rested most of their regulars for Sunday's regular-season finale after they had clinched a spot in the Play-In Tournament, allowing Christie to enjoy a more significant role in the rotation. Christie logged 35 starts between the Lakers and Mavericks this season, averaging 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He's not expected to see a sizable role in the rotation during the postseason, though.
Apr 13, 2025
Slides into starting lineup
Christie will start Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
With Klay Thompson (foot) out, Christie will slide into the starting lineup. As a starter this season (34 games), Christie has averaged 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.9 steals in 31.5 minutes per game.
Apr 12, 2025
Leads bench in scoring
Christie totaled 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one block over 30 minutes during Friday's 124-102 victory over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Christie finished Friday's game tied with Brandon Williams as the Mavericks' second-leading scorer behind Anthony Davis (23). Christie did lead Dallas with three three-pointers, which was the first time he's recorded at least three threes since March 16. Christie has connected on 35.7 percent of his three-point attempts in his last six outings and has averaged 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.4 minutes per game over that span.
Apr 10, 2025
Productive in 28 minutes
Christie chipped in 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 112-97 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
This was a solid all-around performance from Christie, but lines like these have been few and far between. Over his last seven appearances, Christie's fantasy appeal has been limited to deeper formats with averages of 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.3 three-pointers.
Mar 30, 2025
Fails to score in win
Christie notched zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 14 minutes during Saturday's 120-119 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Christie was invisible in the win, failing to score for the first time since joining the Mavericks. While he should be better than this on most nights, his role and subsequent production have taken a hit over the past two weeks. In seven games during that time, he has averaged just 9.7 points, 1.1 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 27.3 minutes per game.
Mar 25, 2025
Struggles continue Tuesday
Christie closed Tuesday's 128-113 loss to the Knicks with six points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Christie ended with another unproductive showing, scoring single digits for the fourth time in the past seven games. Despite playing a sizeable role for his new team, Christie has been underwhelming, to say the least. He has averaged 30.8 minutes per game over the past 16 games, putting up 9.0 points, 0.9 steals and 1.6 three-pointers.
Mar 14, 2025
Coming off bench Friday
Christie is not in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Rockets on Friday, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has started in the Mavericks' last five games, and over that span he has averaged 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals over 32.2 minutes per game, though he's shot just 34.0 percent from the field. He'll retreat to the bench Friday while Dwight Powell enters the Mavericks' starting five.
Mar 11, 2025
Contributes across board
Christie ended Monday's 133-129 win over San Antonio with 12 points (4-15 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal over 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Despite a poor shooting night, Christie put up a productive line across multiple categories. With so many injuries in Dallas, Christie has the potential to make some noise down the stretch. Over his last five games, Christie holds averages of 11.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.2 three-pointers.
Mar 5, 2025
Back in starting lineup Wednesday
Christie is in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Bucks on Wednesday, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie came off the bench against the Kings on Monday after starting in the Mavericks' prior three games. However, with the Mavs dealing with multiple injuries in the frontcourt, Christie will reenter the starting five alongside Spencer Dinwiddie and Klay Thompson. Christie has averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals over 32.3 minutes per game since being traded by the Lakers to the Mavericks in early February.
Mar 3, 2025
Coming off bench Monday
Christie is not in the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Kings on Monday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie started his Mavericks tenure averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals over 34.3 minutes per game over seven outings. He's started in the Mavericks' last three games, though he's shot just 33.3 percent from the field while averaging 7.7 points over 32.7 minutes in that span. Christie will serve in a reserve role Monday while Dante Exum starts alongside Kyrie Irving in the backcourt.
Feb 25, 2025
Set to start Tuesday
Christie will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Lakers, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will start Tuesday for the Mavericks against his former team. This will be the third time since he was traded to the team that he has started for Dallas. He averages 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game in that role.
Feb 21, 2025
Coming off bench Friday
Christie is not in the Pelicans' starting five against the Mavericks on Friday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie started in the Mavericks' two games prior to the All-Star break and averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals over 39.0 minutes per game over that span. Christie and Spencer Dinwiddie will come off the bench Friday due to the returns of Kyrie Irving (shoulder) and Klay Thompson (foot).
Feb 14, 2025
Strong showing against Heat
Christie finished Thursday's 118-113 victory over Miami with 19 points (8-19 FG, 3-11 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals across 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Making his second straight start as the Mavericks sat both Kyrie Irving (shoulder) and Klay Thompson (foot), Christie tied his season highs in both assists and steals while scoring in double digits for the sixth straight game since being acquired by Dallas. The third-year guard is averaging 17.3 points, 5.2 boards, 3.5 assists, 2.5 threes and 1.2 steals a contest for his new club, and Christie should retain a significant role in the rotation coming out of the All-Star break, even after the Mavs get healthy.
Feb 13, 2025
Hits for 17 in spot start
Christie ended Wednesday's 111-107 win over Golden State with 17 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With the Mavericks' frontcourt gutted by injuries, Christie made his first start in February and had another productive performance. The third-year wing has seen at least 30 minutes of court time in all five games he's played for Dallas since coming over in the Luka Doncic trade, averaging 17.0 points, 5.2 boards, 3.2 assists, 2.4 threes and 0.8 steals while shooting an impressive 50.9 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent (12-for-22) from long distance.
Feb 12, 2025
Jumping into first unit Wednesday
Christie is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Dante Exum (Achilles) taking a seat Wednesday, Christie will make his 26th start of the season and his first as a member of the Mavericks. Christie has averaged 17.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 32.3 minutes through four games with Dallas this year.
Feb 11, 2025
Notches 15 points
Christie totaled 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 35 minutes during Monday's 129-128 overtime loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Christie has made a tremendous impact with his new team. Since being acquired by Dallas, Christie has been a sixth-round value in nine-category formats. During that stretch, he put up averages of 17.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.8 three-pointers in 32.3 minutes per contest. It's clear he's going to have a big role moving forward.
Feb 10, 2025
Available against Kings
Christie (shoulder) is available for Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will shake off a questionable tag due to a strained right shoulder and be available for the Mavericks on Monday. Through three games in Dallas, the sharpshooter is averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.7 threes in 31.7 minutes.
Feb 9, 2025
Iffy for Monday
Christie is questionable for Monday's game against the Kings due to a right shoulder strain.
ANALYSIS
Christie has been impressive since joining Dallas, averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31.7 minutes per game over three contests, but he now finds himself dealing with a shoulder injury. If he is unable to go, Spencer Dinwiddie and Jaden Hardy could see expanded roles.
Feb 8, 2025
Strong outing in home debut
Christie supplied 23 points (5-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block over 23 minutes during Saturday's 116-105 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Christie was inserted into the starting lineup for the second half of Saturday's game due to P.J. Washington being ruled out with a right ankle sprain. Christie played the entire fourth quarter, scoring 10 of his 23 points in the final frame (seven of which came from the charity stripe). He is averaging 17.7 points on 66.7 percent shooting from three-point range over his first three games with Dallas, and he could be inserted into the Mavericks' starting lineup against the Kings on Monday if Washington is unable to play.
Feb 4, 2025
Perfect from deep in team debut
Christie finished with 15 points (5-8 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 118-116 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Making his Mavericks debut Tuesday, Christie made an immediate impact off the bench while falling a lone rebound shy of what would've been his first double-double of the campaign. It was also a 28th consecutive game with at least one three-pointer for Christie, who appears set to play a significant role in the Dallas backcourt going forward, even if he isn't a part of the starting lineup. The 21-year-old has averaged 11.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 threes in 31.2 minutes through his last six outings.
Feb 3, 2025
Will make Mavs debut Tuesday
Christie (recently traded) is listed as available for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old is slated to make his Mavericks debut on Tuesday after having been included in the trade that sent Anthony Davis (abdomen) to Dallas in exchange for Luka Doncic (calf). Christie will likely come off the bench for Dallas, as he is expected to compete for playing time with Spencer Dinwiddie, Quentin Grimes and Dante Exum in a stacked backcourt. Christie started in his final 23 appearances for the Lakers, averaging 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals in 30.7 minutes per contest.
Feb 3, 2025
Questionable for Tuesday
Christie (recently traded) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
After being traded to the Mavericks on Saturday, Christie may not be ready to make his team debut Tuesday. If the 21-year-old sits out against Philadelphia, Dante Exum and Quentin Grimes should handle significant playing time in Dallas' rotation.
Feb 2, 2025
Won't make Mavericks debut Sunday
Christie (not injury related) won't be available for Sunday's game against Cleveland, Mavericks radio play-by-play broadcaster Chuck Cooperstein reports.
ANALYSIS
The third-year pro was recently traded to the Mavericks in a historic package centered around Luka Doncic (calf) and Anthony Davis (abdomen), though Davis and Christie will both be sidelined Sunday. The 21-year-old will likely have to compete for the starting job alongside Kyrie Irving (shoulder) whenever he is deemed available. However, Christie's progression with the Lakers is a positive indicator that he'll still see significant minutes with Dallas. The second-rounder out of Michigan State had started in 23 consecutive appearances for Los Angeles entering Saturday, averaging 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 40.0 percent from downtown in 30.7 minutes per contest.
Feb 2, 2025
Traded to Dallas
The Lakers traded Christie, Anthony Davis (abdomen) and a 2029 first-round pick in exchange for Luka Doncic (calf), Maxi Kleber (foot) and Markieff Morris while the Jazz receive Jalen Hood-Schifino (hamstring) and two second-round picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
It was a late-night trade involving the Mavericks, Lakers and Jazz that shook the NBA on Saturday. Davis and Doncic are the obvious headliners for the trade, but the Mavericks also receive a capable guard in Christie, who was permanently inserted into the Lakers' starting lineup Dec. 8 and has since been averaging 10.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 30.8 minutes per game. It's unclear whether Christie will join Davis in the starting lineup alongside Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson or if the third-year guard will come off the bench in Dallas.
Feb 2, 2025
Balanced output in win
Christie posted 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 128-112 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Christie logged his highest scoring output since a 16-point outing in the Jan. 15 win over Miami. Over his last 10 appearances, the 21-year-old has averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 blocks and 2.1 three-pointers in 30.9 minutes per game. Christie has nailed at least one triple in 27 consecutive games, and he should remain fantasy relevant in deeper formats as long as he holds onto a role in Los Angeles' first unit.
Jan 22, 2025
Blocks three shots
Christie finished Tuesday's 111-88 win over Washington with five points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Christie recorded a career-high three blocks in the win and had another solid workload for the Lakers. Meanwhile, Dalton Knecht played just eight minutes and is trending in the opposite direction. Christie has averaged 32.0 minutes per game in January with averages of 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 blocks, 0.7 steals and 2.1 three-pointers over his last nine games.
Jan 16, 2025
Efficient in victory
Christie notched 16 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one block and two steals in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 117-108 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
Christie has seen a significant increase in his production since being inserted into the starting lineup on Dec. 8. In the 21-year-old guard's 15 outings since moving into the starting unit, he is averaging 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.1 minutes. Impressively, Christie is also shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 40.8 percent on 4.7 three-point attempts per contest over that span.
Jan 3, 2025
Career-high 28 points in win
Christie supplied 28 points (9-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 32 minutes during Thursday's 114-106 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Christie posted a career-high 28 points during an impressive outing Thursday. The third-year pro also hit a career-high mark from beyond the arc, and he has made the most of his opportunities while starting in the club's last 10 outings. In that 10-game span, Christie has averaged 12.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals across 29.7 minutes per contest.
Jan 1, 2025
Little impact in loss
Christie logged five points (2-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 122-110 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Christie has turned things around this season, earning a starting role with the Lakers. However, his performance against the Cavaliers on Tuesday was forgettable. The young guard can't afford to let his production slip, with veteran newcomers Shake Milton and Dorian Finney-Smith now angling for minutes in Los Angeles.
Dec 26, 2024
Pops for 16 in win
Christie closed with 16 points (5-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The third-year wing scored in double digits for the second straight game and the third time in seven starts since being elevated from the bench. Christie is averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 boards, 1.6 threes, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists in 29.3 minutes a contest during that stretch, and with the Lakers having gone 5-2 since his addition to the starting five, a shakeup that bumps him back to the bench doesn't seem to be on the horizon.
Dec 24, 2024
Goes for 17 points
Christie chipped in 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and two steals in 33 minutes during Monday's 117-114 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Christie recorded his best scoring mark of the campaign Monday, and he continues to do enough on both ends of the court to convince the coaching staff he deserves to remain in the starting lineup. The lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis limits his upside from a fantasy perspective, but Christie's role as a starter should be enough to warrant at least a look as a streaming option in deep formats. Christie is averaging 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game in seven starts in 2024-25.
Dec 14, 2024
Scores season-high 15 points
Christie recorded 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Friday's 97-87 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Christie started for the second straight game and responded to JJ Redick's trust by notching his best game of the season from a scoring perspective. It's still early in the season, and even though Christie will return to the bench once LeBron James (foot) is available to return, it's hard to overlook the uptick in his numbers. He's scored in double digits in five of his previous 10 appearances, averaging 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in that stretch while shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc.
Dec 8, 2024
Joining first unit
Christie is starting Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will enter the starting lineup in place of Austin Reaves (pelvis), who was downgraded to out. Christie's last start dates back to Nov. 16 against the Pelicans, when he recorded two points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block over 30 minutes.
Dec 2, 2024
Notches 12 points
Christie finished with 12 points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Sunday's 105-104 win over Utah.
ANALYSIS
Christie matched his season-best mark of 12 points with Austin Reaves (pelvis), Cam Reddish (illness) and D'Angelo Russell (illness) all sidelined, making the most of his newfound minutes. With the Lakers playing the Timberwolves on Monday for the second leg of a back-to-back set, Christie could be called upon once again if the team is shorthanded, but the status of those three players has yet to be reported.
Nov 19, 2024
Back to bench Tuesday
Christie will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old got the spot start in Saturday's win over the Pelicans with Cam Reddish (leg) sidelined. However, Christie will reprise his usual role off the bench Tuesday, and in his last five appearances off the bench he has averaged 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds across 11.2 minutes per game.
Nov 16, 2024
Starting Saturday
Christie is in the Lakers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Saturday due to Rui Hachimura (ankle) and Cam Reddish (leg) both being sidelined. Christie's playing time has been inconsistent, but he did play 30 minutes off the bench against the Spurs on Friday and finished with 11 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block.
Oct 17, 2024
Returns to starting lineup
Christie will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Suns, head coach JJ Redick told Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Christie will start in place of LeBron James, who will be rested for this matchup. Christie is expected to hold a steady role off the bench in the 2024-25 season for the Lakers.
Oct 15, 2024
Back to bench Tuesday
Christie will return to the bench for Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie started in place of Austin Reaves (ankle) versus Milwaukee on Thursday, but with Reaves returning, Christie will reassume his role amongst the second unit. However, coach JJ Redick said Tuesday that Reaves will be on a minutes restriction for precautionary reasons, according to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, so Christie will likely still see heavy usage off the bench.
Oct 10, 2024
Gets another chance to start
Christie is starting Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Christie will start his second game of the preseason due to the absence of Austin Reaves (ankle) Thursday evening. Christie fared well in the opener with the first unit, recording 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 34 minutes.
Oct 4, 2024
Starts in preseason opener
Christie is starting in Friday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will start in the preseason opener with LeBron James (rest) being held out from the preseason opener. Christie will start alongside Jaxson Hayes, D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves.
Jun 30, 2024
Expected to sign with Lakers
Christie intends to sign a four-year, $32 million deal to remain with the Lakers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie was the No. 35 overall selection in the 2022 draft, and he is seen as a potential rotation player for the club in the future. The 21-year-old's contract would include a player option in the fourth year, meaning if he impresses the first three years he could seek a larger deal moving forward. Christie averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists across 14.1 minutes in 67 games last season.
Jun 29, 2024
Lakers extend qualifying offer
The Lakers have tendered a qualifying offer to Christie, and he will become a restricted free agent, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie is expected to be one of the more sought after young guards in free agency this offseason, and he could be stolen away from the Lakers if the price is right. The 21-year-old appeared in 67 regular-season games for the team, during which he averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists across 14.1 minutes per game.
Feb 23, 2024
Receives major minutes in return
Christie (ankle) recorded nine points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 29 minutes Thursday in the Lakers' 128-110 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Back in action after missing the final three games before the All-Star break with a sprained right ankle, Christie ended up seeing his most minutes since the calendar flipped to 2024. He had been featured in the Lakers' rotation prior to suffering the injury, but Christie took on expanded minutes Thursday mainly as a result of LeBron James (ankle) missing the contest. James is expected to play Friday versus the Spurs, and Christie could also face a new threat for playing time in Cam Reddish (ankle), who could put an end to a 12-game absence.
Feb 22, 2024
Available for Thursday
Christie (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will shed his questionable tag, but Cam Reddish (ankle) will sit this one out. In Christie's last two appearances, he averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers in 16.5 minutes.
Feb 21, 2024
Snares questionable designation
Christie (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie missed the Lakers final three games before the All-Star Break due to a sprained right ankle, and is at risk of missing Thursday's contest as well. While the game is the first leg of a back-to-back set, Cam Reddish (ankle) is also questionable and LeBron James (ankle) has been ruled out, meaning that Christie could stumble into a larger workload if active.
Feb 12, 2024
Doubtful for Tuesday
Christie (ankle) is not expected to play in Tuesday's game against Detroit, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie isn't expected to play Wednesday versus the Jazz either, but the Lakers haven't made it official. The good news for Los Angeles is that Christie will have some down time to recover during the All-Star break.
Feb 9, 2024
Will not play Friday
Christie (ankle) will not play in Friday's game against the Pelicans, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie underwent an MRI on his right ankle, but the Lakers are still waiting for the results. The good news for the Lakers is that D'Angelo Russell (knee) has been cleared to return. Christie should be considered questionable to play for Tuesday's game against Detroit.
Feb 9, 2024
Unlikely to play Friday
Christie (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Christie suffered a right ankle sprain during Thursday's matchup against the Nuggets and will likely be forced to miss the second half of the back-to-back set. However, the Lakers' backcourt will likely get a boost since D'Angelo Russell (knee) is probable after missing Thursday's game.
Feb 8, 2024
Won't return Thursday
Christie will not return to Thursday's game against Denver due to a right ankle sprain, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. He finished with seven points (2-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Christie started this game in place of D'Angelo Russell (knee), so the Lakers are incredibly thin in the backcourt. In the second half, the Lakers could potentially turn to Maxwell Lewis to soak up some minutes.
Feb 8, 2024
Starting against Denver
Christie will start Thursday's game against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers are without D'Angelo Russell (knee), but he's considered day-to-day. In six starts this season, Christie averaged 6.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 three-pointers.
Jan 30, 2024
Capitalizes on garbage time
Christie registered seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block across 20 minutes during Monday's 135-119 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Christie entered Monday's contest averaging having compiled eight points on 2-for-10 shooting across 49 minutes in his last four games. Monday's relevant workload can more so be attributed to the nature of the contest then Christie stepping into an enlarged role, even in the absence of Cam Reddish (knee).
Jan 14, 2024
Quiet despite injured Reddish
Christie produced three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three assists and one steal in 14 minutes during Saturday's 132-125 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Christie started the second half of Saturday's loss to Utah after Cam Reddish exited with knee soreness, but it translate to a meaningful workload. Christie entered Saturday's contest averaging 8.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22.2 minutes across his last six appearances, but D'Angelo Russell was leaned on instead, booming for 39 points in 41 minutes.
Jan 12, 2024
Solid numbers in Thursday's loss
Christie contributed 14 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and four assists across 25 minutes during Thursday's 127-109 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Cam Reddish (knee) left the game at halftime, opening up minutes for bench players like Christie in the second half. The second-year guard has seen 20-plus minutes in five of his last seven games, a stretch in which he's averaging 8.6 points, 5.1 boards, 1.3 assists, 1.1 threes, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks in 22.4 minutes a night. Should Reddish's injury allow Christie to take on a larger role more consistently, he could put himself on the fantasy radar.
Dec 29, 2023
Gets opportunity in win
Christie provided 10 points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes during Thursday's 133-112 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Christie's minutes were elevated in the absence of Cam Reddish (groin) -- the blowout win assisting as well. Thursday's performance was arguably Christie's best of the campaign, though he only set a season high in blocks. The sophomore mainly operates as a three-point threat for the Lakers, though he's just 15-for-46 (32.6 percent) on the season. In fantasy, Christie is more of a keeper league flier rather than a waiver wire pickup.
Dec 18, 2023
Retreats to bench
Christie isn't starting Monday's game against the Knicks, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie received a chance to run with the first unit Friday in San Antonio, but he failed to do much with the opportunity, finishing with two points and one assist in 23 minutes. He'll return to a bench role with Cam Reddish cleared to play Monday evening.
Dec 15, 2023
Starting against Spurs
Christie will draw the start Friday against the Spurs, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Cam Reddish is sitting out Friday's game with knee soreness, while D'Angelo Russell is also out with a migraine. Christie will get a big opportunity to showcase his talents Friday with the Lakers so shorthanded. In five total starts this season, Christie averaged 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 three-pointers.
Dec 2, 2023
Moves to bench
Christie will move back to the bench for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Cam Reddish is back from his groin injury and will reclaim his starting role for the Lakers. The Lakers are finally getting healthy for the most part, so Christie's minutes are likely to trend down.
Nov 30, 2023
Available to face OKC
Christie (calf) is available to play against the Thunder on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Christie was deemed a game-time call due to a calf problem, but he has been listed as available enough to feature Thursday. That said, he shouldn't be anything more than a bench option for the Lakers.
Nov 30, 2023
Iffy against Thunder
Christie is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Thunder due to a left calf contusion.
ANALYSIS
Christie has started in the Lakers' last four contests but is in danger of missing Thursday's contest. With Cam Reddish (groin) also questionable, Austin Reaves and Jalen Hood-Schifino are candidates to receive extended minutes if both Christie and Reddish are ruled out.
Nov 29, 2023
Remains in starting lineup
Christie will start Wednesday's matchup against the Pistons, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite Cam Reddish (groin) being cleared to return from a three-game absence, Christie will remain in the starting lineup for a fourth straight game. Over his previous three starts, Christie has averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.
Nov 22, 2023
Starting sans Reddish
Christie will start Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will make his first start of 2023 -- and the fourth of his career -- with Cam Reddish (groin) sidelined for the contest. In the four games he's seen more than 20 minutes this season, Christie has averaged 5.5 points and 5.3 rebounds over 24.5 minutes.
Nov 2, 2023
Plays 22 minutes in OT win
Christie amassed five points (1-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 130-125 overtime victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
After totaling just one minute of playing time over the Lakers' first four games of the season, Christie saw an uptick in minutes with Gabe Vincent (knee) and Taurean Prince (knee) sidelined. It seems unlikely that those two players will miss significant time, and Christie will presumably fall out of the rotation once again once the team gets some of their other contributors back in action.
Oct 9, 2023
Efficient off bench
Christie totaled 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes during Saturday's 125-108 preseason loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Christie sustained a right hip strain during Summer League play this year but was healthy for the start of training camp and had decent production during Saturday's preseason opener. He had inconsistent results last year, averaging 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game over 41 appearances.
Sep 28, 2023
Healthy for training camp
Lakers coach Darvin Ham said Thursday that Christie (hip) is expected to be healthy for the beginning of training camp Tuesday, Dan Woike of The Los Angeles Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie suffered a right hip strain during the Summer League but should be good to go for training camp. Christie made 41 appearances for the Lakers in 2022-23 and should compete for a depth role this season.
Jul 16, 2023
Officially out Sunday
Christie (hip) is ruled out for Sunday's Summer League matchup with the Clippers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie played well for the Lakers throughout Summer League, posting averages of 19.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He will have a battle for playing time during the regular season, but his play has been encouraging as of late.
Jul 13, 2023
Managing right hip strain
Christie sustained a right hip strain during Wednesday's Summer League matchup against the Celtics and is considered day-to-day, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has played a prominent role over three Summer League appearances, averaging 19.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 32.2 minutes per game. It's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, but it seems unlikely that his injury would impact his availability for training camp.
Jul 13, 2023
Shows out against Celtics
Christie logged 24 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3PT, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block over 35 minutes of Wednesday's 95-90 Summer League loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Christie turned in another impressive performance, leading the Lakers in points and tying for the best rebound total. He also made a positive impact on the defensive end, corraling three steals/blocks on his way to a positive two plus-minus. The second-year guard has consistently been the Lakers' best player in Summer League and could contend for a regular-season rotation spot.
Jul 4, 2023
Shines in Summer League opener
Christie tallied 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 107-90 Summer League loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Christie, a 2022 second-round pick, made 41 NBA appearances (three starts) during his rookie season, averaging just 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. The 20-year-old got off to a good start in Summer League, but he'll have to take a big step forward this offseason if he's going to carve out a rotational role in Year 2.
Feb 11, 2023
Coming off bench
Christie will come off the bench Saturday against the Warriors, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With D'Angelo Russell joining the starters alongside Dennis Schroder while LeBron James (ankle) is out, Christie returns to a reserve role. Given that the Lakers added depth at the trade deadline, Christie's playing time could be even more limited going forward.
Feb 9, 2023
Starting Thursday
Christie will enter the first unit for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will make his third start of the season Thursday as the Lakers are incredibly thin following a slew of trades prior to the deadline Thursday afternoon. In his other two starts, Christie averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds across 27.5 minutes.
Jan 19, 2023
Scores 12 in defeat
Christie produced 12 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 116-111 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Christie has now come off the bench in three consecutive matchups, but he was more effective Wednesday after totaling just two points in 20 minutes over his last two appearances. He's scored in double figures in just two of his eight appearances in January and has averaged 5.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game over that stretch.
Jan 15, 2023
Not starting Sunday
Christie isn't starting Sunday against the 76ers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie started the last two matchups and averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game. Although the Lakers remain shorthanded Sunday, Christie will come off the bench while Troy Brown draws the start.
Jan 10, 2023
Has career-best night in loss
Christie closed Monday's 122-109 loss to the Nuggets with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With LeBron James (ankle), Austin Reaves (hamstring) and Lonnie Walker (knee) all unavailable Monday, Christie was pressed into the first start of his career. The rookie responded with an impressive shooting performance, nailing 2-of-3 three-point attempts and going 6-for-8 from the field overall en route to a career-best 14 points. Reaves and Walker are both expected to be out for more than another week, so Christie could continue to see expanded opportunities, though his body of work this season hasn't been anywhere near the level that should inspire fantasy managers to grab him off the waiver wire.
Jan 9, 2023
Making first career start
Christie will start Monday's contest against the Nuggets, Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With LeBron James (ankle), Anthony Davis (foot) and Austin Reaves (hamstring) all ruled out Tuesday, Christie will officially make the first start of his NBA career. Across the rookie's first 22 appearances, Christie is averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds across 13.0 minutes per game.
Jan 5, 2023
Sent back to G League
The Lakers assigned Christie to the South Bay Lakers of the G League on Thursday, Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie played seven minutes in Wednesday's win over the Heat. However, with Lonnie Walker (knee) and LeBron James (illness) unlikely to miss extended time, Christie should see more playing time in South Bay.
Nov 23, 2022
Set to return Friday
Christie (COVID-19) has cleared health and safety protocols and is expected to be available for Friday's game versus the Spurs, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has missed the last three games due to the league's health and safety protocols. Christie is averaging 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 11.5 minutes across eight games.
Nov 21, 2022
Won't play Tuesday
Christie (COVID-19 protocols) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Suns, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will miss a third consecutive game due to the league's health and safety protocols. However, he'll have a few additional days to recover before the Lakers take on the Spurs on Friday.
Nov 19, 2022
Not playing Sunday
Christie (COVID-19 protocols) remains out for Sunday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Christie missed Friday's game against the Pistons and is now set to be out for a second straight contest as he's in the league's health and safety protocols. His next chance to play will come Tuesday at Phoenix, but given the short span between games, it wouldn't be shocking if he misses a few more games while he regains his conditioning back.
Nov 17, 2022
Remains out Friday
Christie (COVID-19 protocols) is out for Friday's meeting with the Pistons, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie was put into the league's health and safety protocols Wednesday and has failed to clear them in time for Friday's game against the Pistons. Matt Ryan and Juan Toscano-Anderson (back) should be in line for expanded roles while Christie's next chance to take the floor will come Sunday against the Spurs.
Nov 16, 2022
Enters health and safety protocols
Christie entered the league's health and safety protocols Wednesday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has played double-digit minutes in each of the last four games, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up Friday against the Pistons. Wenyen Gabriel and Juan Toscano-Anderson are candidates to see slightly increased playing time if Christie is sidelined.
Nov 4, 2022
Sent back to G League
The Lakers assigned Christie to the South Bay Lakers of the G League on Friday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has played in two games this season and averaged 2.5 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 2.5 minutes. The second-round rookie will receive more opportunities to play for the South Bay Lakers.
Oct 29, 2022
Called up by Lakers
The Lakers have re-called Christie from South Bay ahead of Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers will have several absences Sunday and are likely to be shorthanded when it comes to depth, but Christie figures to be nothing more than a deep bench alternative while he stays with Los Angeles. He shouldn't see heavy minutes and could be re-assigned to the G-League affiliate rather quickly.
Oct 18, 2022
Returns to bench Tuesday
Christie is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's season opener against the Warriors, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie will move back to the bench after starting and playing 21 minutes in the Lakers' preseason finale last Thursday. It is unclear how much playing time the 2022 second-round pick will receive in the regular season, so Tuesday's game should be a good indicator of his role going forward.
Oct 14, 2022
Rejoin starting five Friday
Christie is in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason finale versus the Kings, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Friday's game will make Christie's third start for the Lakers this preseason. While it is unlikely that Christie will remain the starter once the regular season rolls around, Lakers coach Darvin Ham clearly does not have a set lineup in mind. The rookie out of Michigan State certainly has a chance to see significant minutes this season.
Oct 12, 2022
Moves back to bench Wednesday
Christie will not start in Wednesday's preseason matchup with the Timberwolves, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Christie has started the last two preseason games for the Lakers. On Sunday, he tallied seven points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes. However, with the Lakers' typical starters returning, Christie will likely move back to a reserve role for the regular season.
Oct 6, 2022
Joins starting five Thursday
Christie will start Thursday's preseason game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
With several of the Lakers' marquee names resting Thursday, Christie will make his first (preseason) NBA start after he was selected by the Lakers with the No. 35 pick in the 2022 Draft. Rounding out the Lakers' starting five will be Austin Reaves, Scotty Pippen, Wenyen Gabriel and Thomas Bryant.
