Reid's fantasy upside may be capped by Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, but he's fought off a slow start to his season since the start of November for strong results. Reid has averaged 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per contest in his last 16 games.

After scoring an efficient 19 points in Saturday's loss to Denver, Reid posted a season-high 22 points Monday. The big man also had another productive performance from beyond the arc and has shot 7-for-13 from three-point range in his last two outings. He also grabbed a game-best 12 rebounds against Dallas en route to his third double-double in 14 regular-season appearances.

Reid closed with 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt), 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 25 minutes during Friday's 124-110 win over the Kings.

Reid made the most of his minutes off the bench in this win over the Kings and posted his second double-double of the season -- and first since Oct. 26. Reid's numbers have fluctuated considerably on a game-to-game basis, and the fact that Rudy Gobert remains healthy has limited his numbers considerably. He still has some upside, but he hasn't been at the level he's played at over the past two seasons.

He's due for some positive regression with his shooting, but his fantasy managers are likely frustrated at this point.

Reid turned in another strong night as a shooter and has totaled 39 points over his last two matchups. He's been locked in from downtown over this stretch, going 7-for-11 from deep. Reid has posted 16 or more points in four of his last five games.

Reid's upside is likely to remain capped while Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert are healthy, with Reid averaging 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 22.8 minutes per game.

Reid had struggled mightily over Minnesota's first two games, turning in two straight, single-digit scoring stinkers, but he had an easier time asserting himself in the offense Sunday evening with Anthony Edwards (hamstring) exiting early. It's a quick turnaround for Minnesota's next game Monday, so Edwards might need to skip their matchup with the Nuggets, which could help Reid build on his momentum from Sunday's outing.

Reid is coming off a career-high season, but he dropped a dud during Opening Night of 2025-26. As long as Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle are healthy, there's not a ton of frontcourt usage to go around. However, Reid has always found a way to be productive, averaging at least 10 points, four rebounds and 1.4 stocks per game in five straight campaigns.

The league has suspended Reid for one game for his involvement in an on-court altercation with the Pistons on Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The 25-year-old led the Timberwolves in scoring as he made his 15th straight start while Rudy Gobert (back) remains sidelined. Reid has been very productive while in the starting five, scoring more than 20 points in 10 of those contests and delivering seven double-doubles while averaging 18.9 points, 9.3 boards, 3.3 assists, 2.8 threes, 1.3 blocks and 0.8 steals.

It was a great bounceback performance for Reid after he went 1-for-10 from the field against the Lakers on Thursday, but his efforts weren't enough to get the Timberwolves back in the win column. He'll look to help Minnesota snap out of its two-game losing streak Sunday against Phoenix.

Rudy Gobert (back) has missed four straight games while Julius Randle (groin) has sat out the entire month of February, leaving Reid to hold down the fort in Minnesota's frontcourt. The 25-year-old has thrived with the added usage, scoring in double digits in 10 straight contests while averaging 21.5 points, 9.7 boards, 3.6 assists, 2.8 threes and 1.7 blocks in 37.1 minutes. Both Randle and Gobert seem close to returning, but until they are actually back on the court, Reid figures to stay productive.

Once Randle and Gobert are both healthy, Reid's usage and production will see a steep drop, but the 25-year-old big should remain in the starting five if only one of the veterans is cleared to return for Sunday and Monday's home-and-home set against the Thunder.

Reid led the T-Wolves in scoring by catching fire from beyond the arc. Reid has scored in double digits just once in his last five outings and only has one double-double all season long, but he'll remain valuable in fantasy as long as he can continue to rack up stats across the board. He's averaging 8.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.0 blocks per game in his last five contests.

Reid closed Monday's 109-80 win over the Lakers with 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 28 minutes.

After a pair of duds in which he scored a combined 15 points in two previous outings, Reid found his stride Monday evening. For the most part, he's had a solid season for the Timberwolves as the primary attacking option off the bench. Through 20 regular-season appearances, he's averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 three-pointers.

Reid continues to play at a high level off the bench for Minnesota, and he's reached the 15-point mark in four of his last five outings despite averaging just 24.6 minutes per game in that span. Fantasy managers should continue to trust Reid despite his bench role, as he's seeing the court enough to remain valuable across all formats.

The 25-year-old big came up just short of his second double-double in four games to begin the season while recording his first block of 2024-25. Reid hasn't seen a big jump in his workload with Julius Randle replacing Karl-Anthony Towns in Minnesota's starting lineup, but he's been busier on the glass, averaging 7.5 rebounds through four game after setting a career high last season with 5.2 boards a contest.

Reid is expected to relieve Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, but he actually shared the floor with both big men briefly in the fourth quarter. The odd combo of Mike Conley, Donte DiVincenzo, Reid, Randle and Gobert isn't expected to happen often, but the quintet provided a much-needed boost that helped Minnesota regain the lead. Reid's role as a backup is assured, but we may see more of of the oversized grouping moving forward.

Reid (shoulder) is available for Tuesday's Opening Night matchup against the Lakers.

Reid will likely be a key part of the rotation next season as the Timberwolves aim for another strong playoff push in a stacked Western Conference.

The 12 boards tied his season high as Reid recorded his fourth double-double of the campaign. With Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) sidelined, Reid has started five of his last six games and averaged 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.3 threes, 2.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent (20-for-44) from beyond the arc.

It's tough to trust him on a nightly basis given Minnesota's frontcourt logjam, but Reid is quietly averaging a career-high 12.9 points per game on elite 50.5/40.1/91.3 percent shooting.

Reid has been outstanding off the Timberwolves bench this season, posting 15 or more points in 10 games including in four straight contests.

Reid has been forced to play off the bench since Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns are the starting frontcourt, but he's finding ways to make an impact, particularly on the offensive end. Over his last 10 games, Reid is averaging 14.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while also scoring in double digits in each of his last five appearances.

This was Reid's second-highest scoring game of the season, his best mark since Oct. 28 (25 points). Reid was held to six points Thursday against the Jazz with Anthony Edwards (hip) on the shelf, but he bounced back in a big way Saturday with Edwards sidelined once again. Reid has now scored in double figures in three of his last four games with averages of 14.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.8 three-pointers.

Reid provided 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 victory over the Grizzlies.

Reid has a complicated path toward earning more regular playing time given that Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert are playing exceptionally well together as the starting frontcourt. However, Reid is making the most of his minutes, and he can be a decent waiver pickup in fantasy despite his steady bench role. He has scored in double digits in six of his last eight outings, averaging 10.6 points and 3.4 rebounds while logging just 19.0 minutes per game in that span.

Reid posted 13 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and a steal in Minnesota's 133-115 loss to the Suns on Wednesday.

Although the Timberwolves broke their seven-game win streak, Reid continues to shine in his role as the sixth man, leading all bench scorers for the ninth time this season. The 24-year-old center is averaging 13.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks in 21.5 minutes thus far, on a remarkable 44.4 percent from three. Whether he maintains this efficiency has yet to be determined, but expect Reid to continue producing solid statlines on a nightly basis regardless.

Reid has been the best player off Minnesota's bench this season, reaching double figures in scoring in all six appearances.

Reid finished with 25 points (10-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and two steals across 28 minutes during Saturday's 106-90 victory over the Heat.

Reid was a standout performer for Minnesota in this one, and he managed to outplay both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns despite not starting. Reid is not expected to move to the starting lineup regardless of how good he looks, as that would mean sending Towns or Gobert to the second unit, but his numbers have been quite good. Through two games, he has racked up 35 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Reid scored 14 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT) while adding eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 21 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 114-105 preseason win over the Bulls.

Even with Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) getting the night off, Reid remained in his role usual as the frontcourt anchor for the second unit and produced impressive numbers. The contract extension he signed over the summer could keep him in Minnesota through 2025-26, and the commitment from the team suggests his workload could increase from the 18.4 minutes a night he saw in 2022-23, even if Towns and Rudy Gobert stay mostly healthy.

Reid posted 22 points (8-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 19 minutes during Saturday's 121-112 victory over the Knicks.

Reid has been a constant scoring weapon throughout preseason, racking up 52 points in 53 minutes across three games. If Minnesota can find versatile lineups to get Reid reasonable playing time throughout the season, he's talented enough to garner Sixth Man of The Year credibility.

With Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert both healthy to begin the exhibition schedule, Reid is again set for a role on the second unit, but he could still see significant minutes after signing a two-year, $27 million contract extension in June to remain with Minnesota. The 24-year-old center has already attempted five three-pointers through two preseason games after hoisting up 3.2 a game last season with a 34.6 percent success rate, and if Reid can become even more of a floor-spacing option in 2023-24, it would be easier for coach Chris Fitch to find room for him alongside either of the team's two starting bigs.

Reid spent the offseason rehabbing from a wrist injury and was participating in camp in the last few days, so his presence in the preseason opener wasn't surprising. He's slated to open the season as Karl-Anthony Towns' backup, but given Towns' injury history and Reid's solid numbers in limited minutes, he could be an intriguing option in deeper formats.

As a reserve last year (57 games), Reid averaged 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 16.9 minutes, but he thrived as a starter (11 games), posting 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks in 26.1 minutes. It's unlikely he'll be a regular starter as long as Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert are available, but regardless of his role, Reid will be critical part of the Timberwolves' rotation for years to come.

This is a brutal blow for Minnesota, as Reid was in the midst of the best stretch of his career. With Reid out of the lineup for quite a while, we could see Minnesota go with some smaller lineups which would benefit Jaden McDaniels and Kyle Anderson.

Reid had an MRI taken Thursday, which revealed a left scaphoid fracture, and he'll remain out indefinitely.

Despite not being a starter or playing over 30 minutes on daily basis, Reid's still capable of above-average fantasy outings anytime he steps onto the court.

Reid made a significant impact during only 21 minutes of work. Sunday's game flow revealed a continuing correlation between Reid and Gobert, although the two shared the court for a few minutes in the second quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns' return seemed to have no bearing on Reid's usage, as the two shared the court frequently when Gobert took breaks. Reid was especially effective in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points that included two three-pointers.

Reid was excellent off the bench once again and continued his solid run of play. He has scored in double digits in five games in a row and in 10 of his last 11, averaging a solid 15.5 points and 5.4 rebounds across 21.1 minutes per game in that stretch.

Unfortunately, Gobert is unlikely to miss significant time, meaning Reid will likely shift back to his usual bench role in the very near future.

Unfortunately, that is only going to come if and when Gobert is out.

With that said, Reid is likely to stick in the opening unit until Gobert is back, and given his solid per-minute production, he is worth holding onto in most spots for now.

There is no word on how long Rudy Gobert will be out with his groin injury but until we get word on his return, Reid should be added in just about every format.

Though his value is likely to take a substantial hit with the eventual return of Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19), Reid has proven that he can sustain moderate fantasy value this season with per-game averages of 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds 1.1 treys and 1.6 blocked shots.

Reid finished with 11 points (5-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 24 minutes Monday in the Timberwolves' 130-108 loss to the Warriors.

Reid's efficiency remains an issue compared to most other centers around the league, but there's no denying his ability to put up useful numbers when given meaningful run. While stepping into a starting role at center in place of Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) for the past five games, Reid has averaged 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 1.4 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 26.6 minutes per game. He'll be worth holding in the short term, but with Towns potentially set to rejoin the Timberwolves by the end of the week, Reid's value will have an expiration date.

Reid might be ready for a bigger role in the rotation even when Towns returns, though, as he has scored in double digits in 10 of his 15 games this season.

Reid has shown he can be a scorer, going for double-digit points in six of nine games despite hitting the 20-minute plateau in only four games. He has now grabbed five or more rebounds in five games, including Saturday's career-high of seven.

Reid had played at least 20 minutes while scoring at least 10 points in each of his last four games (three starts), but he was barely an option for the coaching staff Tuesday and that was reflected in his production levels. With Juancho Hernangomez thriving as a starter -- he scored 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting -- Reid could easily remain on a bench role for Thursday's contest against the Blazers on the road.

Reid started each of the last three games for the Timberwolves and scored in double figures during each of those contests. Ed Davis will start at center in his place Sunday, and it's not yet clear whether Reid will reclaim a spot in the starting five after the team's game against Denver.

As expected, Reid will move into the starting lineup, and he'll likely hold onto the role for at least the next several games. In the opener against Detroit, Reid had eight points, five rebounds and three blocks. He followed up with eight points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 18 minutes Saturday versus Utah.

Reid returned from missing out on Minnesota's game Monday through injury, but posted big minutes to alleviate any concerns about his health moving forward. The center logged the second most minutes of anyone in the game and used the time on the court to post team-highs in blocks and steals, while ending with the second most rebounds on the team.

Reid is not on the injury report for Thursday's preseason game against the Mavericks.

Reid was held out of Monday's exhibition for precautionary purposes, but all indications are that he'll make his preseason debut Thursday night.

Although Reid (not injury related) went through Monday's shootaround, he is not expected to play in the Timberwolve's matchup with Grizzlies, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports.

The Timberwolves plan on easing Reid back in the swing of things and get some practices under his belt. The big man recently joined the team following self-isolation.

Reid is self-isolating and is not with the Timberwolves for Saturday's preseason game against the Grizzlies.

It's not clear how long Reid will be self-isolating for, but he'll have to ramp up once joining the team, so it seems unlikely he'll play in Monday's game, either.

Reid continues to fire away at will, ending with 16 points on 15 shot attempts. The efficiency is clearly an obstacle for the rookie; however, the Timberwolves are committed to getting him on the floor and his energy alone typically lends itself to decent fantasy production.

Tied for the second-highest scorer of the team at half-time, Reid was on fire in the second quarter, helping to keep the Timberwolves in the game with 10 points and two blocks in just seven minutes. He even hit two of his three attempts from beyond the arc in that span. Unfortunately, he didn't get to contribute much in the final two quarters as Minnesota tried to push for their first victory in 13 games. Reid is a smooth big man with a solid frame, above-average handles for his position and improving deep-range stroke. He has some decent fantasy upside, but has yet to receive enough opportunity to showcase it. The 20-year old is nowhere near a "must-add" player, but is worth keeping an eye on to see if his role grows down the stretch of the season.

Reid has proven he can be a capable scorer, but now needs to hone in on his consistency as he sees the floor with more regularity.

The undrafted rookie may have a better chance at making his NBA debut than usual, however, as three other Timberwolves (Jake Layman, Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague) are listed as either out or questionable. Additionally, Minnesota is also down another three bodies in Kelan Martin, Jaylen Nowell and Jordan McLaughlin, who are all with the G League's Iowa Wolves.
