Batum (groin) is questionable for Tuesday's game at Brooklyn, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

The 32-year-old sat out Sunday's win over the Knicks with a left groin bruise, and his availability for Tuesday's contest is also in jeopardy. Patrick Patterson could receive another start for the Clippers should Batum miss a second straight game.

Prior to Thursday's outburst, Batum had made a total of six three-pointers over his last three games. His 18 points also led the team and were the most he's scored since January 5.

In the Clippers' six games since that time, Batum is averaging 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.2 three-pointers and 1.7 steals in 26.2 minutes per contest. While that level of all-around production is useful, Batum probably doesn't need to be treated as a must-roster option in 12-team leagues.

Batum finished with eight points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four steals, three assists, two boards and one block in 28 minutes of a 130-127 win against Chicago on Sunday.

Batum set a season high in steals in the contest, despite failing to reach double-digit scoring for the first time since New Year's Day. Despite taking on a secondary scoring role in the Clippers offense, the veteran has instead filled the stat sheet in a more balanced manner. He'll face New Orleans on Wednesday.

Batum recorded 21 points (8-12 FG, 2-5 3PT, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 36 minutes in the 116-113 loss to San Antonio on Tuesday.

Batum produced with the larger role given to him in the loss Tuesday. News broke late that fellow teammate Paul George was going to sit due to an ankle injury. Batum was one of the main beneficiaries and ran away with it. He not only produced a season-high in points, but also added that with nine grabs and a few more stat sheet fillers. Batum has struggled this season to truly impress and shine, but did not fail when the chance was given. It is unknown the significance of the injury to his teammate and may get more run in the next few matches.

Batum finished with 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three assists, one board, and one steal, in 31 minutes of a 112-107 win against the Suns on Sunday.

Batum was hot from deep, doing most of his damage there and taking just two shots from inside the arc. Normally a solid rebounder, Batum failed to chip in much aside from launching up treys, but still finished tied for third on his team in points scored. He'll face the Spurs on Tuesday.

Batum had nine points (1-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds over 35 minutes in Friday's 106-100 loss to the Jazz.

Batum put up a double-digit scoring total in the Clippers' last game, but he was only able to muster nine points in Friday's loss. The 32-year-old saw plenty of playing time as the team relied heavily on its starters against Utah, and he remained consistent on the boards, as he's now averaging 6.5 rebounds per game through the first six contests of the season.

Batum totaled 13 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in a win over Denver on Friday.

The veteran forward improved upon a quiet effort in his first game with Los Angeles with his first double-double since the 2017-18 campaign. After playing only 23 minutes per game with Charlotte last season, Batum has averaged 32 minutes through the first two contests of the 2020-21 campaign. It remains to be seen how his role will change when Marcus Morris (knee) returns to action, but Batum's ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him an intriguing fantasy option for as long as he is logging big minutes.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old's five-season stint with the Hornets has come to an anti-climatic close. Batum's shooting was awful last season, averaging 3.6 points on 34.6 percent shooting and 28.6 percent from three. However, he still posted a respectable 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 23.0 minutes. The veteran now joins free agency, where he could get some interest from competitive teams looking to shore up wing depth.

Batum will exercise his $27.13 million player option for the 2020-21 season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The decision is a no-brainer for Batum, whose value has taken a significant hit over the last few years. He'll enter the final year off is contract after appearing in just 22 games for Charlotte last season. In 23.0 minutes, Batum posted 3.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 combined blocks and steals per game. At this point, it's unclear if he'll be a part of the rebuilding Hornets' regular rotation in 2020-21.

Batum hasn't appeared in game for the Hornets since Jan. 24, sitting out each of the last 15 games as the result of either an illness or a coach's decision.

The illness kept Batum out for two games in early February, but his string of absences from the rotation both before and after that time suggest that he wouldn't have gotten off the bench for those contests anyway. The Frenchman has been a massive disappointment for the Hornets since inking a five-year, $120 million contract extension back in the summer of 2016, and though he had been a mainstay in the rotation prior to this season, the organization seems to be writing him off as a sunk cost at this point. He'll likely continue to rack up the DNP-CDs through next season, as Batum is a virtual lock to exercise his $27 million player option for 2020-21.

Batum (illness) will suit up for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.

After missing the last two games due to illness, Batum will be available to play on Wednesday against the Timberwolves. However, since playing in his homecoming in France on January 24th against the Bucks, the French wing has completely fallen out of the rotation, as he has not logged a minute since.

Batum will miss Friday's game against Dallas due to illness.

Batum's absence may not be felt in any meaningful way by the Hornets, as he's fallen out of the rotation and hasn't appeared in any of the team's last five games. Even if Batum is healthy by Monday's game in Detroit, it doesn't appear likely that he'll play.

Batum (coach's decision) didn't see the court in Monday's 112-100 loss to the Magic.

Batum received a spot start in place of a struggling Miles Bridges when the Hornets took on the Bucks in his home country of France back on Jan. 24, but the 31-year-old has since found himself on the outside of coach James Borrego's rotation. With Bridges having since displayed improved form and rookie Cody Martin solidifying himself as a key cog on the second unit, Batum seems unlikely to recapture a regular bench role anytime soon.

Batum is coming off the bench Tuesday against the Knicks.

Batum moved into the starting lineup for the Paris Game. However, playing in his home country of France did little to improve Batum's production. He has been ushered out of Charlotte's rotations, so this was a classy move by coach James Borrego and a cool opportunity for Batum, with Tony Parker and other French veterans in the building.

Batum is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bucks in Paris.

The 31-year-old will draw the spot start Friday with the Hornets playing in his home country of France. Batum is averaging 3.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 22.4 minutes and figures to return to his bench role next week.

Batum played 32 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 100-92 loss to the Suns, contributing two points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one steal.

After being excluded from the rotation in seven consecutive contests, Batum surprisingly received double-digit minutes in both of the Hornets' road games over the weekend. The veteran did little in the 46 minutes he received between Friday's loss to the Jazz and Sunday's game, however, tallying a combined five points (on 2-for-8 shooting from the field), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal. Even if he remains a factor on the second unit, Batum isn't likely to produce at a level that warrants intrigue outside of very deep leagues.

Batum won't return to Wednesday's season opener against the Bulls due to a sprained right ankle.

Batum injured his ankle at the end of the fourth quarter, finishing with zero points, four rebounds and two assists in his 2019-20 season debut. While the severity of the injury is unclear, considering Batum's age and extensive injury history, there's a good he'll be held out of Friday's game against Minnesota.

Batum (Achilles) is not listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

Batum has officially made it through the Achilles soreness that had plagued him this preseason, which doesn't come as a surprise given he was able to put together a full practice late last week. The Hornets have set to reveal what their starting lineup will be, but there is a chance Batum starts the season coming off the bench with the Hornets likely putting an emphasis on the development of younger talent this season.
