The Magic announced Thursday that Banchero has been diagnosed with a left groin strain that will force him to miss at least one game, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Banchero will continue to be evaluated, and his return will depend on how he responds to treatment. For now, fantasy managers can consider Banchero questionable at best for Sunday's game against the Rockets. In the meantime, Franz Wagner could see more usage, and the Magic could lean more on Tristan da Silva and Jonathan Isaac.

Banchero confirmed after Wednesday's game that he will undergo an MRI on his left groin, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

"I just slowed up, and I felt it right away," Banchero said. "And then, I did a couple more trips up and down, and then, it was still there. So I asked to come out because I didn't want to risk further injury." The Magic are officially calling his injury a strain for now, but the MRI will reveal the severity of the issue. If Banchero does end up missing time, Tristan da Silva would likely be the next man up for Orlando based on how he's stepped up thus far. Jonathan Isaac would likely be in the mix for more run as well.

Banchero saw the end of his stretch of games with at least 20 points Sunday, but the star forward still posted a solid stat line across the board. Banchero opened the month of February with a nine-point dud against the Jazz, but he's posted solid numbers overall over the last few weeks. Banchero had as bad as a start as you could get in Friday's game, missing all six of his field-goal attempts in the first quarter while committing three personal fouls, which caused him to sit for the entire second frame. Banchero managed to bounce back by scoring 15 points in the third quarter to spark an early Magic run, but he wasn't able to sustain that effort into the fourth quarter. He went 1-for-7 from the field in the fourth quarter and missed the potential game-winning shot as time wound down. Banchero and the Magic will look to bounce back against the Wizards on Sunday.

Banchero closed Saturday's 118-88 victory over the Grizzlies with 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and four blocks across 30 minutes.

Wendell Carter turned heads with his impressive double-double, but there's no doubt Banchero made his presence felt on both ends of the court, racking up stats left and right. The second-year forward might have ended a streak of four games with 15 or more points, but Banchero remains extremely valuable in fantasy even in games where his shot isn't falling due to his ability to fill the stat sheet on both ends of the court.

Banchero totaled 23 points (8-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 38 minutes during Friday's 100-97 loss to the Clippers.

Banchero couldn't carry the Magic to victory over the Clippers, but he delivered an impressive outing on both ends of the court. The All-Star forward has reached the 20-point mark in four of his last six appearances, and his role as Orlando's biggest piece on offense is set in stone, so he owns a pretty high floor most nights. He's averaging 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and a combined 1.3 steals-plus-blocks during March.

Thursday marked the second time Banchero has registered a triple-double this season, the first occurring Jan. 5 against the Nuggets. He's now dished five-plus dimes in six straight games and has scored 20-plus points in eight of his last 11 appearances. Since late February, Banchero is averaging 22.5 points on 52.9 percent shooting, 6.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists over 34.5 minutes per game.

Banchero extended his streak of five-plus assists to five games after Tuesday's win. His 26 minutes played were his lowest of the season, as the Magic found themselves up by as many as 41 points. Banchero was efficient with his limited touches as he hit all but one of his field-goal attempts. Thursday's interconference game against Zion Williamson and the Pelicans should provide a bigger challenge for a Magic team that is 12-3 over their last 15 games.

Banchero was extremely efficient Sunday, and even though his role as Orlando's go-to player on offense is not under question, his already-high fantasy value gets a sizable bump when he's shooting the ball this well. Banchero has quickly become a stat-filling machine as the season has progressed, and he has been handling well the fact that he now has a more significant responsibility on offense. He's averaging 23.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 rebounds per game since the beginning of March.

Banchero logged 17 points (5-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Friday's 113-103 win over the Raptors.

Banchero was one rebound and two assists shy from notching the second triple-double of his career Friday. His passing game has gone up a level as of late as he has dished eight-plus dimes in three of his last four games. Since the All-Star break, Banchero is averaging 21.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists over 34.7 minutes per game.

Banchero registered a team-high 21 points (6-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds and nine assists across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 114-106 win over the Nets.

The Magic features a very balanced attack that saw all five starters plus two bench players score in double digits, but Banchero led the way. The reigning Rookie of the Year has topped 20 points in six of seven games since missing a couple contests in late February due to an illness, averaging 24.0 points, 6.4 boards, 5.7 assists and 1.3 threes over that stretch while shooting 51.7 percent from the floor.

Banchero totaled 19 points (6-20 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Sunday's 111-97 loss to the Pacers.

Banchero logged a solid total amid Jalen Suggs' (thigh) and Markelle Fultz's (knee) absence. Banchero is one of the only players on the roister to avoid injury this season, as he's played and started in 62 games. Banchero was efficient on both ends of the court Sunday, and while the Magic came up short and had to settle for defeat, the second-year forward posted an impressive performance while ending just one board and three assists shy of a triple-double. Banchero averaged 25.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in December.

Through his last five outings, Banchero is averaging 19.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.

Banchero chipped in 28 points (11-20 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds and seven assists across 38 minutes during Friday's 130-125 victory over the Wizards.

Banchero was efficient from the field, and even though Franz Wagner ended up leading the team in scoring with his 31-point outing, Banchero made his presence felt on both ends of the court, finishing just three assists away from a triple-double. Perhaps more importantly, Banchero looked completely healthy after he suffered an ankle problem Wednesday against Washington, and he should be able to handle his regular workload going forward. Banchero is averaging 20.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game over his last 10 contests.

As expected, Banchero has been upgraded from probable to available and will play Friday despite spraining his ankle during the third quarter of Wednesday's win over Washington. Despite a poor showing last time out, Banchero has been solid in Year 2, averaging 19.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.2 minutes.

Banchero didn't have his best shooting performance and failed to reach the 20-point mark for the third straight contest. The second-year forward has hit that threshold just four times this season, and while it's still early in the campaign, his numbers are slightly down compared to his impressive rookie year. Despite that, he's been excellent for Orlando and should remain valuable across all formats due to his impressive play on both ends of the court.

Banchero logged 26 points (10-22 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Saturday's 112-97 win over the Bucks.

The 21-year-old is booming over his last five games, averaging 24.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists on stellar 52.4/40.0/75.7 percent shooting.

Banchero recorded 17 points (7-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Thursday's 120-119 loss to the Hawks.

Banchero ended just two rebounds away from recording a double-double, a feat he's accomplished just once this season, though perhaps surprisingly, he's yet to grab 10 or more rebounds in 2023-24. Banchero endured a slow start but seems to be trending in the right direction of late, averaging 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game over his last four contests.

Banchero had 22 points (8-18 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds and six assists across 37 minutes during Monday's 117-102 loss to the Mavericks.

Banchero notched at least five assists for the third consecutive game, and he's on pace to exceed the 3.7 assists per game he averaged as a rookie. Banchero posted 2-of-8 shooting in the second half Monday, making improved crunch-time scoring an important component of his evolution.

Banchero notched 25 points (9-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), seven rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 120-101 victory over the Lakers. He also had four turnovers.

Logging the first double-digit assist performance of his career, Banchero's well-rounded impact is an early season trend. He's notched at least four assists in all six of Orlando's contests thus far, while booming for 55 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists, four steals and three blocks across his last two games.

Banchero finished with 30 points (9-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 11-15 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals across 36 minutes during Thursday's 115-113 win over the Jazz.

Banchero averaged 20.0 points per game as a rookie but finally reached that tally in this game, and in a big way, as his contributions carried the Magic to a tight win on the road. Without being downright bad, Banchero was enduring a slow start to the season, but this game might be what he needs to snap his low-scoring skid. He's averaging 16.0 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field through his first five games.

Banchero had 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-8 FT), four rebounds, four assists and four steals across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 118-102 loss to the Clippers.

Banchero's production has been steady, but a breakout game has been elusive through four games. Still, the Duke product set a new season-high in points and steals and has provided good secondary numbers in the early going.

Banchero finished with nine points (4-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes during Monday's 106-103 loss to the Lakers.

Banchero won't be happy with the start to his second season. Through three games, he has compiled averages of 11.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting a mere 37.5 percent from the field. He'll look to bounce back against the Clippers on Tuesday.

Banchero recorded 12 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 116-86 victory over the Rockets.

Banchero didn't have his best performance in this season opener, but it's not like the Magic needed him, as Orlando cruised to a massive 30-point victory against the Rockets. One subpar outing is not going to define Banchero by any means, especially after a rookie campaign in which he averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. While this is not the start of the season fantasy managers hoped for him, Banchero should remain the Magic's main offensive threat on a game-to-game basis as the season progresses.

Banchero ended with five points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 20 minutes in Tuesday's 104-92 preseason loss to the Pelicans.

Banchero made his presence felt across the board but struggled massively as a scoring threat, though based on his track record, there's a strong chance this was nothing but an off night for the 2022-23 Rookie of the Year. Banchero will aim to build off a stellar rookie year in which he averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

The Magic exercised Banchero's third-year team option Wednesday.

Banchero established himself as an integral part of Orlando's system during his rookie season last year, so it isn't surprising to see the team pick up his third-year option. He averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 33.8 minutes per game while making 72 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.

Banchero (illness) is healthy for the start of training camp, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports.

Banchero dealt with an illness to close out the FIBA World Cup in September, but he's back to full health as the Magic prepare for camp. The 20-year-old made 72 appearances for Orlando as a rookie last year and averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 33.8 minutes per game.

Banchero didn't play Sunday for Team USA during the FIBA World Cup third-place game against Canada due to an upper respiratory illness, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.

Brandon Ingram missed the semifinal matchup versus Germany on Friday due to the same issue, and it appears he passed it to Banchero and Jaren Jackson, who were both sidelined Sunday. All three players should be good to go for their respective training camps in October, but it was certainly a disheartening way to end a disappointing tournament for Team USA.

Banchero won the 2022-23 NBA Rookie of the Year award on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Banchero was the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA draft and had a successful rookie season, missing only 10 games. He averaged the most points (20.0), third-most assists (3.7) and the fifth-most rebounds (6.9) among all rookies. However, Banchero will likely look to improve upon his 42.7 field-goal percentage and 29.8 three-point percentage in his sophomore campaign.

Banchero has missed the Magic's previous two games due to back soreness. With Orlando officially out of playoff contention, expect them to err on the side of caution with their prized rookie if his health is not up to par as tip-off approaches. Still, more clarity on his status will come closer to game time.

The rookie could possibly sit out the rest of the year to avoid the risk of further injury to his back. Expect Chuma Okeke and Bol Bol to see increased minutes Friday with Banchero unavailable.

Banchero has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers due to back tightness.

Now that the Magic have been eliminated from postseason contention, the team is listing each of its starters as out for the first half of a back-to-back set Thursday. Moritz Wagner, Chuma Okeke and Bol Bol are candidates to see increased run against Cleveland with Banchero sidelined.

Banchero contributed 30 points (8-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 13-14 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and three blocks across 34 minutes during Friday's 116-109 win over the Wizards.

This was the sixth game of his rookie season with at least 30 points. Banchero's consistency and efficiency have trailed off late in the season, but he's been much better over the past two games. His playmaking has improved in recent games too, as he has a total of 27 dimes over the past five contests. He'll get a solid matchup against the Pistons on April 2.

Banchero notched 21 points (7-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes during Thursday's 111-106 win over the Knicks.

Banchero paced Orlando in scoring, shots made and blocks while posting a team-high-tying steals total in a balanced performance that led to a win over New York. Banchero has surpassed the 20-point mark 37 times this season, including in two of his last three outings.

Banchero recorded 18 points (6-9 FG, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 122-112 win over Washington.

The rookie has nearly collected his first career triple-double twice in the last six games, as he posted a 17/10/9 line against the Heat on March 11. Banchero remains the favorite to win Rookie of the Year and is ending the season on an upswing, scoring in double digits in 10 straight games and averaging 21.6 points, 6.8 boards, 4.1 assists and 1.3 threes over that stretch.

Banchero totaled 21 points (8-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Sunday's 111-105 loss to the Lakers.

The rookie from Duke continues to be a solid scoring option for the Magic. He's had his foot on the gas since the All-Star break, averaging 21.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists over 12 games. Banchero's only demerit is at the free-throw line, where he's shown little improvement since his college days.

Banchero wasn't entirely efficient from the field but still posted a decent stat line, finishing just two rebounds away from recording a double-double. The former Duke star hasn't looked as dominant as he did in the first two months of the season, but he's still the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award. Banchero is averaging 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season.

Banchero posted 27 points (11-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds and one block across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 132-114 loss to the Spurs.

Banchero was efficient from the field en route to a team-high 27 points, marking his fifth 20-plus-point game over his past six appearances. During that stretch, the Rookie of the Year candidate is averaging 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 0.7 blocks in 35.2 minutes with 46/42/68 shooting splits.

Banchero amassed 17 points (5-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds and nine assists across 43 minutes during Saturday's 126-114 overtime victory over Miami.

Banchero's nightly ability to piece together a scoring line is impressive. Even on an inefficient night with limited foul drawing, Banchero played an enormous role in the overall offense. His nine assists (9:3 AST/TO) mark a new career high.

Banchero produced 26 points (8-17 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 7-11 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block over 34 minutes during Thursday's 131-124 loss to the Jazz.

Banchero got hot from deep and posted his fifth 20-plus-point game over his past six appearances. During that stretch, the Rookie of the Year candidate is averaging 23.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 33.5 minutes.

Banchero contributed 26 points (9-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-10 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Sunday's 122-119 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Banchero started off hot in Sunday's game against Portland, hitting his first seven shots, but then cooled off quite a bit in the second half. He still finished with a team-high 26 points on 50 percent shooting, continuing his solid production from his previous game. The rookie's field-goal percentage was starting to take a huge hit for a while, but he has improved his efficiency more recently, knocking down at least 50 percent of his shots in four of the last five contests. The same can't be said for his struggles from beyond the arc, which are still ongoing.

Banchero closed with nine points (4-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 139-117 loss to Milwaukee.

Banchero dropped 29 points during Monday's win over the Pelicans, but he was held to a single-digit scoring total for the fourth time this season during Wednesday's defeat. The 20-year-old was able to salvage his fantasy production by remaining effective in rebounds and assists while also racking up two blocks, and he should have plenty of opportunities to bounce back in the coming games.

Banchero finished with 29 points (10-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 9-11 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal across 34 minutes in Monday's 101-93 win over the Pelicans.

After a stretch of lackluster outings prior to and immediately after the All-Star break, Banchero finally came through with the type of performance that has made him the frontrunner for the NBA Rookie of the Year Award at this stage of the season. The 29 points were his most in a game since Jan. 30, and though he came up empty from downtown for the sixth contest in a row, Banchero turned in better-than-usual efficiency from the field and charity stripe. For the season, Banchero is converting at a 42.1 percent rate from the field and 75.4 percent rate from the line, and his poor showings in both areas on heavy volume (15.5 field-goal attempts per game, 7.6 free-throw attempts per game) has made him a far more valuable commodity in points leagues than category leagues.

Banchero closed Saturday's 121-108 loss to the Pacers with 19 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), six rebounds, one block and one steal over 33 minutes.

Banchero wasn't terrible in the loss, shooting at least 50 percent from the floor for just the second time in the past 14 games. While it has been a solid rookie season, his efficiency from both the field and the charity stripe remains an issue. Add to that the fact that he contributes very little on the defensive end and you are left with a viable 12-team asset with very little room to move in terms of overall value.

Banchero posted 22 points (8-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 35 minutes in Monday's 100-91 win over the Bulls.

After blocking just three shots in his last 13 games combined, Banchero came out of nowhere to match that total Monday. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect any consistent output in that category moving forward, but Banchero's return to the 20-point mark was an encouraging development after he had fallen below that threshold in six of the previous seven games while shooting 32 percent from the field. Banchero is now averaging an even 20 points per game on the season and should be able to bludgeon his way there on a regular basis moving forward on sheer volume alone, though fantasy managers should expect the scoring production to be accompanied by poor efficiency from the field and free-throw line.

Banchero notched 16 points (6-16 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Saturday's 107-103 overtime loss to the Heat.

Banchero needed 16 shots to score 16 points, and while he's been struggling with his shot of late, he continues to produce on both ends of the court while operating as a focal point on Orlando's offensive scheme. Banchero has three double-doubles over his last four games and is averaging 14.8 points with 9.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game across six February contests.

Banchero provided 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes during Thursday's 115-104 win over Denver.

Banchero took just four shots in the first half, knocking down two of them for four points to go along with four rebounds and an assist. He remained quiet on the offensive end over the final two quarters, going just 3-of-8 from the field for seven points, but did chip in another six boards to notch his ninth double-double of the season. The rookie forward has now grabbed double-digit rebounds in two of his last three contests, though he's failed to break the 20-point mark in four of five games to this month.

Banchero finished with 22 points (6-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Sunday's 119-113 victory over Charlotte.

The rookie posted his first double-double in nearly a month and his eighth of the season. Banchero appears to be wearing down a bit, which isn't a big shock given the 20-year-old's workload so far, and over his last 10 games he's shooting just 34.7 percent from the floor and 22.8 percent from three-point range while averaging 17.5 points, 6.3 boards, 3.1 assists, 1.0 threes and 0.9 steals. He isn't likely to get much rest during All-Star Weekend, as Banchero is set to appear in the Rising Stars Game and could yet be named as an Eastern Conference alternate for the All-Star Game itself.

Banchero posted 11 points (3-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 127-120 victory over the Timberwolves.

The game between Orlando and Minnesota will be remembered for the scuffle between Austin Rivers and Mo Bamba. However, it was also one of the worst games for Banchero -- at least from an efficiency perspective. The rookie continues to produce and has been a focal point of the Magic's offense all season long, but his percentages continue to move in the wrong direction. He's making just 40.2 percent of his shots and 29.6 percent from deep since the start of January.

Banchero totaled 29 points (11-22 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Monday's 119-109 victory over Philadelphia.

It was a strong bounce-back performance from the rookie, who scored only nine points in Saturday's loss to the Bulls. Banchero might be hitting a bit of a wall -- he's scored 20 or more points only three times in the last 11 games, averaging 18.4 points, 5.5 boards, 2.9 assists, 1.5 threes and 1.4 steals over that stretch while shooting 41.2 percent from the floor.

Banchero recorded 23 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 126-120 victory over the Pacers.

Banchero wasted no time in getting the Magic rolling on offense, racking up 13 points in the first quarter on 3-of-4 shooting from the field while also going 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. He entered the half with 17 points, but added just one more bucket on six attempts over the final two quarters to finish second on the team with 23 points. After failing to reach the 20-point mark in six straight games, Banchero has now recorded 23 points in back-to-back contests. However, he's averaging just 5.5 rebounds per game this month and has grabbed three or fewer boards in two of his last three contests.

Banchero logged 23 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-9 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes during Monday's 113-98 win over the Celtics.

After failing to reach 20 points in six straight contests, Banchero raised his game against an elite opponent. The first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft hasn't exactly hit the rookie wall, however. Banchero has scored in double digits in 12 straight games, averaging 19.8 points, 5.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.6 threes and 1.2 steals over that stretch.

Banchero ended with 11 points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's 123-110 win over New Orleans.

Banchero was unusually passive in the victory, scoring fewer than 20 points for the fifth straight game. After a strong start to the season, Banchero has certainly slowed of late, sitting outside the top 160 over the past month. While he should be viewed as a must-roster player, his struggles shooting the ball have become a real issue when it comes to his overall appeal. With that said, poor shooting is nothing new when it comes to rookie players, so managers should not be at all surprised.

Banchero finished Tuesday's 109-106 win over the Trail Blazers with 19 points (5-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block in 38 minutes.

Banchero tied a career high with five turnovers and his efficiency from the field left something to be desired, but he shot better than usual from the free-throw line and supplemented his offense with excellent production in the defensive categories. He's now nabbed at least one steal in five straight games and has recorded exactly three steals in two straight contests, bringing his per-game average up to 1.0 per game for the season. With the Magic guards getting healthier, however, Banchero has seen his assist rate plummet of late. He's surpassed five assists just once in Orlando's last 10 games.

Banchero supplied 25 points (9-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 115-101 win over Golden State.

Banchero had it going early, racking up 11 first-quarter points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field before going 3-of-3 for another eight points in the second quarter. It was a different story in the second half, however, as the rookie power forward knocked down just one of eight field goal attempts and three of four shots from the foul line for six points over the final two quarters. Despite his struggles in the second half, Banchero did connect on four three-pointers in the contest for just the second time this season and has now broken the 20-point mark in four straight.

Banchero totaled 30 points (10-20 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Thursday's 123-115 loss to the Grizzlies.

Banchero had an awful first half shooting the ball, going just 2-of-9 from the field for eight points while adding five boards and two assists. However, the Magic forward wasted no time in turning things around in the second half, racking up 20 points in the third quarter alone on 7-of-9 shooting before finishing with a team-high 30 points on the night. It was Banchero's fourth 30-point game this season and he's also recorded at least 20 points in three straight.

Banchero ended Wednesday's 126-115 win over Oklahoma City with 25 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 36 minutes.

Banchero didn't have a great first half shooting the ball, knocking down three of eight shot attempts for 11 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists. However, the Orlando power forward fared a little better in the second half with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field as the Magic closed out Oklahoma City down the stretch. Banchero led the Magic in scoring and also dished out a team-high seven assists in the contest. He's now reached the 20-point mark in two straight as the 2022 first overall pick continues his impressive rookie campaign.

Banchero ended Tuesday's 129-110 loss to the Lakers with four points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 22 minutes.

Banchero had scored in double figures in his last 10 appearances, and he averaged 21.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 34.7 minutes per game during that time. However, he committed five fouls Tuesday and was limited to a season-low 22 minutes of playing time. Despite Tuesday's lackluster performance, Banchero has been a strong contributor for the Magic to begin his rookie season.

Banchero racked up 18 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and four assists over 29 minutes during Friday's 133-113 win over San Antonio.

The rookie failed to reach the 20-point mark just for the third time this month, and while two of those contests have come in his last three appearances, his role as an elite scoring threat for the Magic remains completely settled. The star rookie is averaging 20.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in December.

Banchero ended Wednesday's 116-110 victory over Houston with 23 points (9-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and two steals across 32 minutes.

Banchero chalked up his sixth double-double of the season as the Magic got back in the winners' column following their last-up loss to the Hawks. He has also now scored at least 20 points in 11 of his past 12 games, establishing himself as the firm favorite to win rookie of the year. From a fantasy perspective, he does sit outside the top 130 in standard formats, although when punting his percentages, he slides well and truly into the top 80.

Banchero closed with 31 points (9-21 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 95-92 victory over the Celtics.

Banchero led the team in points, shots made and threes en route to his third 30-point performance of the season. Banchero tallied a season-high mark from deep, posting his highest point total since he scored a season-high 33 points Nov. 5. Banchero has scored 20 or more points in seven straight contests.
