Bey seems to have lost the starting power forward role to Jalen Johnson, but he seems determined to get it back based on how good he's played of late. Bey has scored in double digits in each of his last four outings while shooting 59 percent from the field in that stretch.

Bey's 19 points marked a season high, and his output could have been partially motivated by playing against the team that traded him for James Wiseman last year. Bey's has been slightly duplicative on Atlanta's roster this year with Jalen Johnson and DeAndre Hunter directly competing for minutes, but he's still a two-way contributor at a primary position.

Bey poured in 21 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT) while tacking on 10 rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes of action during Monday's 116-112 preseason loss to the Pacers.

Bey (rest) had been absent from Atlanta's two prior preseason games, but he set aside any injury speculation with a dominant performance in limited run Monday. The 24-year-old is well-positioned for an efficient scoring campaign entering his first full season with the Hawks.

Bey will not play in Saturday's exhibition game against the Pelicans for undisclosed reasons, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

Bey's absence will mark his second straight preseason game missed. It was originally thought that the wing was getting some rest, but back-to-back games on the sidelines indicates he is dealing with something. Still, it is just the preseason so the Hawks could be exercising caution here. His next opportunity to suit up will come Monday in Indiana.

Bey scored single digits for the first time in his past four games, continuing what has been a modest yet underwhelming start to his Atlanta career. Since being traded to the Hawks, Bey has eclipsed 20 points only once, adding very little in terms of peripheral production. Given his role tends to fluctuate from one night to the next, he should be viewed as nothing more than a stream option for anyone in need of points and triples.

He's averaging 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds across 24.8 minutes per game since joining the Hawks, but those numbers are clearly a drop-off compared to what he was putting up at the beginning of the season when he was playing for the Pistons.

Bey accumulated 14 points (5-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 129-107 victory over the Pistons.

It's his first double-double of the season, but the third-year forward continues to have trouble adjusting to his second-unit role on his new club. Bey managed a total of only 12 points over his prior three games, and in 15 contests for the Hawks he's averaging 10.4 points, 4.3 boards and 2.1 threes in 25.1 minutes a game. Barring an injury that moves him into the starting lineup and a bigger workload, the 23-year-old will be tough to rely on down the stretch.

Bey finished with 17 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 26 minutes during Saturday's 134-125 loss to the Celtics.

Bey came off the bench to score 17 points, the fourth time in the past five games that he has scored at least 14 points. While his playing has been up and down since arriving in Atlanta, Bey has at least been able to hover around the top 100 in nine-category formats. He doesn't offer much outside of scoring and triples, although that alone can be enough to earn a roster spot in most leagues.

Bey finished Monday's 130-128 loss to the Heat with 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.

Though he continues to come off the bench for the Hawks, Bey appears to have emerged as the team's preferred sixth man over Bogdan Bogdanovic. While playing 67 minutes to Bogdanovic's 50 between the past two contests, Bey has erupted for 39 points on 59.1 percent shooting from the field and 53.8 percent shooting from three-point range. Even for an above-average perimeter threat like Bey, that level of shooting is unsustainable. Bey typically doesn't offer much production in other areas when his shot isn't falling, so expect a notable downturn in his overall fantasy output from his past two games sooner rather than later.

At this point, it is more of a wait-and-see situation.

The 23-year-old is also second on the team in minutes per game over the past month, trailing only Bojan Bogdanovic, so even if he continues in this role, he is still maintaining ample playing time.

Confidence is not high when it comes to Dwane Casey's rotations but as long as Bey is playing key minutes as a starter, he is worth rostering.

Bey did most of his damage in the third quarter, knocking down six of seven shot attempts for 15 points, including all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. Outside of that the small forward went 4-of-12 for 11 points, though he did add five fourth-quarter rebounds to help the Pistons seal up a rare win on the road. Bey led the team in points (25), rebounds (9) and three-pointers made (5) and has now broken the 20-point mark in five of his last six.

Bey ended with 21 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Monday's 150-130 loss to the Bucks.

The 23-year-old appears to be getting more comfortable as a regular member of Detroit's starting five. Over his last six games, Bey is averaging 21.0 points, 6.3 boards, 2.3 threes, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals, a vast improvement after he failed to score more than 13 points in any of his first four starts after moving back into the role in late December.

Bey accumulated 16 points (6-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 28 minutes during Thursday's 126-108 loss to the Bulls.

Bey went 3-of-8 from the field for eight points in each half and finished third on the team in rebounds with nine. He added a team-high three steals in the contest, which also matched a season high as the Pistons suffered their sixth loss in their last seven games. The small forward has now scored at least 15 points in five straight and is 12-of-25 from the three-point line over that stretch.

Bey was unable to lock in from the field, but he still managed to put up 20 points by getting to the charity stripe. He attempted 10 shots from the free-throw line, which marks his most since Dec. 4 against Memphis. Bey is averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in four consecutive starts.

Bey produced 31 points (10-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 135-118 victory over the Timberwolves.

With the Pistons missing multiple starters, Bey stepped up and topped 30 points for the first time this season. The third-year forward still isn't as consistent as Detroit would like, scoring just two points against the Sixers on Sunday, but over his last nine games Bey is averaging a solid 15.2 points, 4.3 boards, 2.2 threes, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 29.7 minutes a night.

Bey contributed 17 points (4-14 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 9-9 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 147-116 loss to the 76ers.

The Pistons got balanced scoring up and down the lineup, with Bey, Jaden Ivey and Rodney McGruder all tying for the team lead, but nobody was able to step up and come close to matching Joel Embiid's 36 points for the Sixers. Bey has started five of the last seven games due to a number of injuries across Detroit's roster, but his production hasn't changed -- the third-year forward is averaging 11.1 points, 3.6 boards, 1.4 threes, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 27.7 minutes over that stretch.

Based on recent trends, he is safe to drop in standard formats and should be viewed as nothing more than a points streamer.

It appears Bey is going to continue to come off the bench for the Pistons, limiting his upside. Minutes are going to be the key factor when evaluating his ROS value. If he can maintain at least 25 per night, he should at least remain on the standard league radar, especially for anyone in need of points.

The Pistons were without a number of key pieces in this one and so managers should be prepared for a downturn in playing time once the playing ranks are close to fully stocked.

Bey has now scored in double digits in three games in a row and while he seems to be trending in the right direction from a scoring perspective, the lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis hinders his fantasy output. He's scored at least 20 points twice in that span, though, and he's averaging 16.8 points per game across his last five contests.

Bey accumulated 10 points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 110-108 loss to the Bucks.

The up-and-down season for Bey continued Monday, turning in another underwhelming performance. It appears he enjoys alternating strong performances with duds, something that is sure to provide managers with a lot of headaches should it continue. With that said, he does remain a 12-team asset, albeit a frustrating one.

Bey accumulated 28 points (9-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes during Sunday's 128-114 win over the Warriors.

Bey had scored just 30 points combined over his previous three outings before Sunday's season-high 28 points. Through seven games, he's made 45.5 percent of his shot attempts, a vast improvement of his 39.9 field-goal percentage in his first two years. He's not yet found the ability to consistently produce and remains a bit of a fantasy wild card night-to-night.

Bey closed with 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-6 FT) and four rebounds over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 118-113 loss to Atlanta.

Bey at least topped double-digits in the loss, a far better performance coming off a game in which he managed just six points. Unfortunately, in typical fashion, Bey basically did nothing outside of score the basketball, something that certainly cuts into his overall value. He remains a relatively solid hold in all competitive formats but managers should just be aware that he brings nothing to the table, other than points and threes.

Bey ended Saturday's 124-115 loss to the Pacers with 20 points (5-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes.

Bey notched his first double-double of the season, recapturing some of the form that saw him vault into relevance to close the 2021-22 season. The Pistons clearly view him as a significant piece of their future, meaning his role should be guaranteed all season long. Efficiency from the floor will continue to be an issue but that should not be a surprise for anyone who took a shot at him.

Bey finished Friday's 130-106 loss to the Knicks with 26 points (9-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal over 33 minutes.

The third-year forward led all scorers on the night, but New York's superior depth won out. Bey bounced back from a quiet opener, and after a solid 2021-22 campaign he seems on track to take another modest step forward with his production this season.

Bey compiled 17 points (7-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and a steal in 26 minutes in Thursday's 126-111 loss to the Grizzlies.

Bey missed five of his six shots before putting in layups on consecutive possessions in the second quarter. He was just 1-for-8 on shots beyond five feet. The 23-year-old has struggled shooting for much of the preseason, making 36.5 percent of his shots and 29.6 percent of his three-point tries. He's made 39.9 percent of his shot attempts in his two-year career and will look to improve his shooting efficiency when Detroit begins the regular season next Wednesday.

Bey finished with 23 points (6-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds in 31 minutes Friday against the Pelicans.

Bey led the team in scoring and finished the exhibition tied for the squad lead in rebounds. While he wasn't exactly productive from the field, his presence from the beyond the arc was certainly reassuring as he readies himself for the 2022 campaign.

Bey exploded for 20 points and six threes in the first quarter. While his production tailed off from there, Bey was able to notch his seventh career 30-point game. Logging just 23 minutes, Bey showcased his ability to boom. Tough matchups await against Dallas, Milwaukee and Philadelphia to close the campaign.

Bey (hip) isn't on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Pacers.

Bey was only marginally efficient, but he posted a well-rounded statline. He's cooled off significantly since his career-best 51-point effort against the Magic on March 17, shooting just 36.8 percent from the field in the five games coming into Tuesday. Still, he'll be one of the Pistons' main offensive options down the stretch.

Bey ended with 25 points (6-17 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 119-115 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Bey has averaged 32.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists over his last three games. Buoyed by his 51-point eruption against Orlando, Bey has still remained hot with multiple 20-point performances. A volume-based scorer, Bey is shooting 40.0 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Bey contributed 51 points (17-27 FG, 10-14 3Pt, 7-10 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in 39 minutes during Thursday's 134-120 win over the Magic.

Bey was simply unstoppable Thursday, torching the Magic with a career-high 51 points, including 10 triples. After failing to score more than 13 points across his last five games, fantasy managers have to be thrilled with this performance, especially on a night featuring just one game. However, we do need to remember that both Jerami Grant and Cade Cunningham were on the sideline here. Despite some inconsistent scoring this season, Bey's role is set in stone, making him a pretty clear must-roster player.

Bey logged 25 points (8-15 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one block over 36 minutes during Friday's 111-106 victory over the Pacers.

Bey was lights out from deep en route to his third 20-plus point performance over his last four games. During that stretch the second-year forward has averaged 23.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from three.

Bey notched 23 points (8-19 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block in 38 minutes during Thursday's 108-106 win over Toronto.

Bey eclipsed 20 points for the fifth time in his last eight games, continuing what has been a nice stretch of games. His defensive production leaves quite a bit to be desired managers will let that slide given his recent offensive consistency. The coaching staff are comfortable putting out there no matter the situation and barring any injuries, that should result in him finishing with his best overall season to date. Long story short, he should be rostered everywhere right now.

Bey racked up 28 points (11-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 39 minutes during Sunday's 127-126 overtime win over the Hornets.

Although Bey's fantasy production carries some variance, his upside is immense, especially when on a hot shooting streak. In February, he notched several excellent performances, averaging 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 12 games.

Bey produced three points (1-7 FG, 1-7 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes during Thursday's 106-103 victory over the Cavaliers. He also had three turnovers.

Bey only attempted threes and was disjointed from the offense en route to a forgettable night. Additionally, Bey failed to salvage the outing with meaningful peripheral stats. He'll look to rebound Saturday against the Celtics.

Jerami Grant's recent return from an extended absence due to thumb surgery hasn't been as detrimental to Bey's fantasy outlook as expected, at least through Grant's first four games since rejoining the lineup. During that stretch, Bey has cleared 20 points on three occasions while also averaging 6.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.5 three-pointers. It's worth noting, however, that Cade Cunningham (hIp) has missed the last three of those contests, so Bey should eventually see his overall usage on offense take a hit once the star rookie is back in the lineup.

However, his field-goal rate (38.2 percent) and three-point efficiency (33.4 percent) are both below his rookie marks.

It was an atypical night for Bey, who failed to get anything going and only made three shots in 13 attempts in the loss. His regression began over the weekend against the suns and bled into this contest, and although his minutes have remained steady, Bey's usually prolific totals have pulled a disappearing act over the last month

At least Bey continues to be consistent and is still the go-to player on offense for the Pistons with Jerami Grant (finger) sidelined. He has scored in double digits in all but one of his last 13 games, clearing the 15-point plateau nine times in that span.

Bey and the Pistons will not play Tuesday against the Spurs after the game was postponed, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The game will not be played due to COVID-19 contact tracing, but the hope is that Detroit will be able to resume play Wednesday night in Dallas.

Bey might head back to the bench if Griffin is ready to return Monday against Philadelphia, and that would decrease his upside considerably.

Bey continues to play well for the Pistons and has been one of the more impressive rookies thus far this season. Despite serviceable production at best in this game, the fact he played 27 minutes even with Blake Griffin on the court bodes well for his future. He is not a player to be targeting in 12-team formats just yet but should the Pistons eventually fall out of the playoff race, he could find himself thrust into a more prominent role.

Bey has been in and out of the starting lineup this season and, while he began the game on the bench with Blake Griffin returning to the starting five, he vastly outplayed the veteran and finished as Detroit's second-highest scorer. Bey's upside will be hard-capped as long as he keeps coming off the bench, but he has shown glimpses of what he can do with enough playing time and could be a player worth watching across most formats, while he could have an uptick in terms of value on dynasty leagues due to his long-term potential.
