Shaedon Sharpe Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Trail Blazers vs Pelicans game on Thursday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 6, 2025
Scores 25 points in loss
Sharpe contributed 28 points (10-25 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Friday's 122-116 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Friday marked the most minutes that Sharpe has played since returning from the calf injury, and it was his third straight game scoring at least 20 points. It'll be interesting to see how much longer Sharpe is kept in the reserve role, but he's seen at least 30 minutes in three straight while being a part of the closing group, so he's still receiving starter's minutes.
Dec 2, 2025
Drops 23 points in home country
Sharpe logged 23 points (9-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Portland's 121-118 loss to Toronto on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
The London, Ontario native felt right at home during Tuesday's loss and finished second on the Trail Blazers in scoring behind Deni Avdija (25 points). Sharpe has come off the bench in each of his last three outings as he continues to work his way back from a strained right calf that forced him to miss four games. His 30 minutes of playing time were his highest since his return, though it's unclear whether he'll be available for the second leg of the Trail Blazers' back-to-back set Wednesday against the Cavaliers.
Nov 27, 2025
Returns with 11 bench points
Sharpe posted 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block across 21 minutes during Wednesday's 115-102 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe returned from a four-game absence but was eased back into action with 21 minutes off the bench. The Trail Blazers went 2-2 during that period, but Sharpe's eventual return to first-unit action will be a welcome sign for the injury-riddled backcourt, which is already without Jrue Holiday (calf) and Scoot Henderson (hamstring).
Nov 26, 2025
Not starting Wednesday
Sharpe is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will come off the bench in his return from a four-game absence, likely in an effort to monitor his minutes. With Sharpe working in the second unit, Caleb Love's minutes could see a large dip.
Nov 26, 2025
Available to play
Sharpe (calf) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is set to return from a four-game absence, so he may have his minutes monitored in his first game back. Sharpe should start, which will likely push Sidy Cissoko back to the second unit and Caleb Love's minutes could dip a bit.
Nov 25, 2025
Iffy for Wednesday
Sharpe (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has remained sidelined for four consecutive matchups but will have a chance to return Wednesday. His availability should come into focus following shootaround or pregame warmups.
Nov 24, 2025
Out again Monday
Sharpe (calf) will not play Monday against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss a fourth straight game Monday and is currently without a timetable for a return. His next chance to play comes Wednesday against the Spurs. In the meantime, Caleb Love, Kris Murray and Sidy Cissoko are likely to continue seeing an uptick in minutes.
Nov 22, 2025
Out again Sunday
Sharpe (calf) won't play Sunday against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Sunday will mark Sharpe's third straight game on the inactive list, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out 24 hours in advance of tip-off. Sidy Cissoko, Kris Murray and Caleb Love will continue to pick up the slack while Sharpe is out.
Nov 21, 2025
Won't play Friday
Sharpe is out for Friday's game against the Warriors with a strained right calf.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is joining Jrue Holiday on the sidelines as both players battle the same injury. Sunday's showdown with the defending-champion Thunder marks Sharpe's next chance to play. With the Portland backcourt ravaged by injuries, Kris Murray is in position to handle heavy playing time Friday.
Nov 20, 2025
Chance to return Friday
Sharpe (calf) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is working through a sore right calf, which prevented him from playing in Wednesday's 127-110 loss to the Suns on Wednesday. Whether he plays Friday will depend on how his calf feels during morning shootaround and pregame warmups, and his return would likely lead to Sidy Cissoko reverting to a bench role. Sharpe has averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 29.8 minutes per game across eight contests in November.
Nov 19, 2025
Won't play Wednesday
Sharpe (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss the second leg of the Trail Blazers' back-to-back set Wednesday due to a right calf injury. The severity of the injury isn't clear, but his next opportunity to play is in Friday's road game against the Warriors. Caleb Love, Kris Murray and Sidy Cissoko are all slated for bigger roles against Chicago due to Sharpe's absence.
Nov 19, 2025
Doubtful for Wednesday
Sharpe is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls due to right calf soreness.
ANALYSIS
Wednesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and it appears the Trail Blazers will be cautious with the shooting guard. During Tuesday's game against the Suns, Sharpe produced 29 points (12-24 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes. With Sharpe expected to sit, guys like Caleb Love, Kris Murray and Sidy Cissoko could be more involved for Portland.
Nov 19, 2025
Scores team-high 29 points
Sharpe had 29 points (12-24 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 127-110 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe continued to serve as point guard with Jrue Holiday (calf) sidelined. Sharpe's numbers were solid despite moving out of the off-guard spot, but he failed to drill a three-pointer in six attempts. Sharpe should revert to his usual role soon, as Holiday's injury isn't considered to be serious.
Nov 17, 2025
Explodes for 36 points in OT loss
Sharpe notched 36 points (12-32 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 9-11 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal over 39 minutes during Sunday's 138-133 overtime loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe set a new season-high scoring mark Sunday, and he's going through his most prolific stretch of the season while being settled as one of Portland's go-to scoring options. Sharpe has scored at least 30 points in three of his last four games, a stretch in which he's averaging 30.3 points while shooting 52.4 percent from the floor.
Nov 13, 2025
Explodes for season-high 35 points
Sharpe recorded 35 points (13-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 125-117 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe delivered his best game of the season when the Trail Blazers needed him the most, as Portland needed every bit of his 35 points to secure the win against New Orleans. Sharpe has posted back-to-back games with at least 30 points for the first time this season and has also surpassed the 20-point mark in four of his last five games. He's averaging a robust 25.6 points per contest since the beginning of November.
Nov 10, 2025
Pours in 31 points in loss
Sharpe posted 31 points (12-18 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes in Monday's 115-112 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe delivered an extremely efficient performance en route to a game- and season-high 31 points, albeit in a losing effort. The 21-year-old also knocked down three triples after shooting just 20.0 percent from beyond the arc in Portland's previous three games. Over his last five appearances, Sharpe has averaged 22.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 assists in 26.4 minutes per contest.
Nov 9, 2025
Comes close to double-double
Sharpe provided 21 points (9-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes during Saturday's 136-131 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe didn't have his best shooting performance, missing all but one of his eight three-pointers, but he still posted a solid stat line that saw him end just one board shy of a double-double. Sharpe remains productive and consistent despite struggling with his shot at times. This was his eighth game with more than 15 points and has also reached the 20-point mark in two of his past three contests.
Nov 8, 2025
Will play Saturday
Sharpe (calf) is available for Saturday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Sharpe will be available for this contest and should handle his regular workload in the backcourt. The fourth-year guard is averaging 18.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 blocks per game this season.
Nov 7, 2025
Expected to play vs. Heat

ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers continue to monitor the strained calf of Sharpe, who's expected to play Saturday. The swingman has averaged a productive 18.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 26.8 minutes per game across eight outings this season, but he's shooting an inefficient 37.0 percent from the floor.
Nov 6, 2025
Logs 18 points in victory
Sharpe supplied 18 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 121-119 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe continues to play through a nagging calf injury, but he's yet to miss action with the team. Through eight games, Sharpe is averaging 18.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 steals, and although his point-per-game average is slightly lower compared to his 2024-25 campaign, the addition of Jrue Holiday has done wonders for the backcourt and boosted Portland's postseason chances.
Nov 5, 2025
Cleared to face OKC

Nov 4, 2025

ANALYSIS
Sharpe turned in his biggest offensive outing of the season Monday, surpassing the 20-point mark for the first time despite continued struggles from beyond the arc. The Kentucky product, known for his athleticism and quickness, snapped a two-game stretch without a steal by racking up three swipes. Through seven contests to begin the campaign, he's averaging 18.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 27.3 minutes per game, though improved shooting efficiency -- 36.7 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three -- would make his stat line even more impressive.

Drains four treys in Utah
Sharpe racked up 18 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 136-134 victory over Utah.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year guard has scored between 15 and 19 points in all five of Portland's games so far, despite some early-season shooting woes. Sharpe is averaging 17.0 points, 4.4 boards, 1.8 threes, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals, but those numbers has come while shooting a meager 32.6 percent from the floor and 23.7 percent from beyond the arc, suggesting that better production lies ahead once he gets in rhythm.
Oct 28, 2025
Records four steals
Sharpe racked up 16 points (6-16 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and four steals across 29 minutes during Monday's 122-108 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's shot continues to elude him, as he's now shooting 30.7 percent from the field through four games. He's been perfect from the free-throw line, however, and his counting stats have been solid with averages of 16.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 28.7 minutes per contest. If his shot starts falling, Sharpe could do some serious damage on the stat sheet.
Oct 23, 2025
Inefficient in loss
Sharpe amassed 15 points (5-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe, who is fresh off signing a four-year, $90 million rookie extension, certainly wasn't shy in Wednesday's loss. He comfortably led the team in shot attempts, with nine of those coming from beyond the arc. Although this wasn't an ideal start, it's clear that a ton of offense is going to go through him this season which gives him massive upside.
Oct 19, 2025
Signs four-year extension
Sharpe signed a four-year, $90 million rookie extension with the Trail Blazers on Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe gets a long-term deal to stay with the team that drafted him seventh overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. The 22-year-old pro has shown improvement in each of his three years in the league and has proven to be a high-level scorer. He is coming off a season in which he averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 31.3 minutes per game across 72 appearances.
Oct 16, 2025
Tallies 20 points in loss
Sharpe posted 20 points (6-17 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 132-129 preseason loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe struggled a bit on the offensive end but still managed to reach the 20-point threshold due to his considerable shot volume. He's put up 38 total points over his last two exhibitions and will now set his sights on doing damage during the regular season, which will begin Wednesday against Minnesota.
Oct 15, 2025
Paces Portland in loss
Sharpe tallied 18 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, three steals and two assists over 27 minutes in Tuesday's 118-111 preseason loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe paced the Trail Blazers in scoring, doing most of his damage inside while connecting on just one shot from beyond the arc. The young guard also impressed defensively, collecting three steals to continue his encouraging trend from late last season, when he finished with at least one steal in six straight games to close his 2024-25 campaign.
Oct 11, 2025
Nets 17 points with six boards
Sharpe registered 17 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds and two triples across 26 minutes in Friday's preseason win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been solid in his first two preseason outings, so he's gaining some traction as a potential late-round flier on draft day. Just know he won't do much for you outside of points and triples.
Oct 9, 2025
Stands out in preseason
Sharpe generated 22 points (9-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes of Wednesday's 129-123 preseason loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe drew the start alongside Jrue Holiday in the backcourt, and his 23 minutes were a team high. The 22-year-old guard set career highs in points (18.5) and rebounds (4.5) in 2024-25, and is on track to play a featured role once again in his fourth professional season. Sharpe's 4-for-8 shooting day from three-point range was a positive result considering he's shot 33.3 percent and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc the last two seasons, respectively.
Oct 5, 2025
Back in action
Sharpe (knee) is participating in team scrimmages at training camp ahead of Wednesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe missed the final two games of the 2024-25 campaign due to a knee injury. Now, he appears to be fully healthy heading into the preseason as he is participating in team scrimmages in training camp. Sharpe is coming off the best year of his young career, during which he averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 31.3 minutes per game across 72 appearances.
Apr 13, 2025
Not playing Sunday
Sharpe (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will end up missing the final two games of the regular season due to right knee soreness. With Sharpe and Scoot Henderson (concussion) sidelined, Dalano Banton and Rayan Rupert should get an extended run in Sunday's regular-season finale. With Portland eliminated from playoff contention, Sharpe will end his third season in Portland averaging 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.9 steals over 31.3 minutes per game in 72 outings (52 starts).
Apr 13, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Sharpe (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
A decision on Sharpe's status will be made closer to Sunday's 3:30 p.m. ET tipoff. His absence would deprive the Blazers of one of their few reliable offensive weapons, especially in a scenario where Deni Avdija (thumb) is doubtful and Anfernee Simons (forearm) is out. If Sharpe isn't cleared to play, expect Matisse Thybulle to see more minutes in the lineup once again.
Apr 11, 2025
Not playing Friday
Sharpe (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Golden State, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will be sidelined for Friday's contest due to right knee soreness, which will be the first game he'll miss since Nov. 4. Kris Murray will enter the Trail Blazers' starting lineup in Sharpe's absence.
Apr 10, 2025
Added to injury report
Sharpe is questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors due to right knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear whether Sharpe picked up the injury during his last appearance Wednesday against Utah, though his status will be worth monitoring leading up to Friday's tipoff. He hasn't missed a game since Nov. 4 against the Pelicans.
Apr 10, 2025
Scores season-high 37 points
Sharpe recorded 37 points (13-23 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 5-10 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 133-126 overtime loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
The Blazers suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Jazz on Wednesday, but there's no doubt Sharpe turned heads with his play and was among the top producers in Wednesday's 10-game slate. This is the sixth time Sharpe has surpassed the 30-point mark this season, though it's also the third time he does it since the beginning of April. Sharpe is ending the season on a heater with averages of 28.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game in five April contests.
Apr 7, 2025
Posts massive double-double
Sharpe registered 21 points (5-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Sunday's 120-109 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
This was one of Sharpe's best performances of the season. This was his fourth game of the campaign with at least six assists, and his third game with double-digit rebounds. The Trail Blazers have been extremely shorthanded lately, so the high usage could continue to be a trend for Sharpe with three games remaining in the regular season.
Apr 3, 2025
Ties career high with 36 points
Sharpe provided 36 points (14-23 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals over 34 minutes during Thursday's 112-103 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was dominant in the first half, scoring 11 and nine points in the first and second quarters, respectively, and he finished Thursday's contest tying a career high in points that he set Feb. 26. Since entering the starting lineup Feb. 28, Sharpe has averaged 20.9 points on 47.7 percent shooting, 6.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals over 35.4 minutes per game.
Apr 1, 2025
Leads in scoring in double-double
Sharpe recorded 33 points (11-25 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals over 39 minutes in Tuesday's 127-113 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe provided a big lift offensively and on the glass in Tuesday's battle, leading all Portland players in scoring and free throws made while finishing as one of two players with a double-double in a winning effort. Sharpe has recorded a double-double twice this season, the other taking place March 3. Sharpe has now surpassed the 30-point mark in four appearances.
Mar 28, 2025
Pours in 22 points in loss
Sharpe produced 22 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT) and seven rebounds over 31 minutes during Thursday's 128-107 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old finished as the club's second-leading scorer behind Deni Avdija (24 points), albeit in a losing effort. Sharpe has been a mainstay in the starting five of late due to Jerami Grant (knee) being sidelined, and he has logged at least 15 points in eight straight outings. In that eight-game span, the third-year swingman has averaged 19.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.0 steals across 34.9 minutes per game.
Mar 24, 2025
Puts up 23 points in loss
Sharpe finished with 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Sunday's 129-116 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers looked surprisingly competitive in this matchup against the Celtics, and Sharpe was a big reason why Portland put up a fight. Sharpe has surpassed the 15-point mark in six games in a row, averaging 19.5 points and shooting 46.5 percent from the floor in that stretch. His role as one of the Blazers' most reliable scoring weapons is not under any threat.
Mar 22, 2025
Pops for 23 in Friday's win
Sharpe amassed 23 points (10-22 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 39 minutes during Friday's 128-109 victory over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
The third-year guard continues to supply consistent production as part of the starting five. Sharpe has started 12 straight games and scored in double digits in 11 of them, averaging 18.5 points, 6.0 boards, 3.1 assists, 1.8 threes and 0.8 steals over that stretch. If there's been one blemish on his starting stint, it's been his long-range accuracy. Sharpe is shooting just 26.5 percent from beyond the arc during those dozen contests.
Mar 20, 2025
Excels with 17-point effort
Sharpe notched 17 points (6-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 115-99 victory over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was successful in bucking a negative trend during Wednesday's win. His production is directly tied to Deni Avidja, and Sharpe's numbers often suffer when Avdija blows up. Sharpe turned in a good line in the win despite Avdija's 31-point result. if the first unit can keep replicating this success, the playoff outlook will improve significantly, and Sharpe's sustained production will be essential down the stretch.
Mar 13, 2025
Pops for 21 in OT loss
Sharpe contributed 21 points (8-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Making his eighth straight start, Sharpe nearly came away with his second double-double of the season -- he delivered the first one March 3 against the 76ers. The third-year guard is averaging 18.6 points, 6.3 boards, 3.4 assists and 1.9 threes during his starting stint, but it's not clear who will get bumped to the bench if the Blazers' frontcourt gets healthier, as Jerami Grant (knee) and Deni Avdija haven't been on the court together since Feb. 26.
Mar 11, 2025
Nearly triple-doubles
Sharpe racked up nine points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds and eight assists across 29 minutes during Monday's 130-120 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe just narrowly missed out on what would've been his first career triple-double. He's been on an impressive run for Portland over his last 10 games, posting averages of 19.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.1 three-pointers. More shots could continue to fall into his lap as well with Jerami Grant now battling a right knee issue.
Mar 3, 2025
Double-doubles in win
Sharpe notched 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Monday's 119-102 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe filled the stat sheet Monday, recording his first double-double of the season during his third consecutive start. The 21-year-old finished as the club's second-leading scorer behind Anfernee Simons (34 points), and Sharpe logged 20-plus points for the 21st time this season. Additionally, the third-year swingman has scored 20 or more points in four of the club's last five outings.
Feb 28, 2025
Team-high 25 points in start
Sharpe had 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one block in 36 minutes during Friday's 121-102 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
On the heels of dropping a career-high 36 points in Wednesday's win over Washington, Sharpe was rewarded with his first start since Jan. 18 and led the team in scoring Friday. The 2022 first-rounder has been effective as a scorer in a starting role, averaging 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.6 three-pointers in 33.4 minutes over his last eight appearances in Portland's first unit. If both Deni Avdija (quad) and Jerami Grant (knee) remain sidelined Sunday in Cleveland, Sharpe could remain in the starting lineup.
Feb 28, 2025
Promoted to starting role
Sharpe is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is coming off a career-best performance Wednesday, as he recorded 36 points (13-26 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-10 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during a 129-121 victory over the Wizards. He'll move to a starting role due to the absence of Deni Avdija (quadriceps).

Career-best day against Washington
Sharpe recorded 36 points (13-26 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-10 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 129-121 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was the only Trail Blazer to exceed 16 points, shooting 50 percent from the field en route to a career-high 36 points. He capitalized on an expanded role, starting the second half in place of the injured Deni Avdija (quad). The outing marked his fourth career 30-point game. If Avdija is forced to miss time, Sharpe should continue to see more action.
Feb 21, 2025
Logs three triples in defeat
Sharpe chipped in 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt), two assists and one rebound over 21 minutes during Thursday's 110-102 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe reached the double-digit mark in points for the sixth consecutive matchup Thursday. In that six-game span, the 21-year-old has averaged 15.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.5 minutes per contest. Despite some overall struggles shooting the rock, the third-year swingman was fairly efficient from beyond the arc against the Lakers, logging his 16th outing with three or more triples.
Feb 7, 2025
Hits for 24 in win
Sharpe registered 24 points (9-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 108-102 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
The third-year guard has his best scoring night since moving to the second unit Jan. 19, and the 24 points were Sharpe's best effort since he hung 27 on the Jazz back on Dec. 26. Over 11 games coming off the bench, Sharpe is averaging 15.5 points, 3.7 boards, 2.0 threes, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals in 27.1 minutes a contest.
Feb 5, 2025
Contributes 17 points from bench
Sharpe had 17 points (6-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and three steals across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 112-89 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's total highlighted the negative correlation between his numbers and those of Deni Avdija. The two players rarely coexist with standout numbers at the same time, and it was Sharpe's turn to take the lead Tuesday evening. Avdija has fared better than his counterpart in recent weeks, however.
Feb 2, 2025
Leads second unit in victory
Sharpe ended with 16 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and one steal over 25 minutes during Saturday's 127-108 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe logged his third consecutive contest with 16-plus points, leading the bench in scoring during the blowout win. The 21-year-old has operated off the bench in each of the club's last eight outings, averaging 15.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 threes and 1.5 assists across 28.0 minutes per game. Sharpe has shot only 42.6 percent from the field in that eight-game span, though he has still shot 37.8 percent from beyond the arc on 5.6 attempts per contest.
Jan 31, 2025
Scores 23 points Thursday
Sharpe posted 23 points (9-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Thursday's 119-90 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was efficient and delivered a strong showing Thursday in another productive bench appearance. He's scored in double digits in six of his seven outings since being moved to a bench role on Jan. 19, averaging 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. All things considered, the move to the bench hasn't affected his fantasy value dramatically.
Jan 29, 2025
Notches 17 points
Sharpe closed Tuesday's 125-112 win over the Bucks with 17 points (6-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe had been ice cold prior to Tuesday, so this performance was a step in the right direction. Over his last five games, Sharpe has hit 36.8 percent from the field to go with averages of 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 26.7 minutes per game. He could have more touches coming his way if Jerami Grant is forced to miss time with his ankle issue.
Jan 19, 2025
Not starting vs. Chicago
Sharpe is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Bulls, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
The Blazers are tweaking their lineup for the second leg of this back-to-back set due to the absence of Anfernee Simons (elbow) and the return of Deni Avdija. Sharpe should still see sizable minutes off the bench and play a significant role on offense whenever he's on the court.
Jan 15, 2025
Extends streak Tuesday
Sharpe logged 21 points (9-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 132-114 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe reached the 20-point mark for a fifth consecutive game despite the fact the Blazers ended up losing by 18 points. Scoot Henderson turned heads with his play after notching a career-high 39 points, but Sharpe remains one of the most consistent performers in a struggling Portland team on a game-to-game basis. The third-year guard is averaging 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game since the beginning of January.
Jan 12, 2025
Scores 22 points in defeat
Sharpe produced 22 points (7-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists, three rebounds and one block in 37 minutes during Saturday's 119-98 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old finished as Portland's second-leading scorer behind Anfernee Simons (28 points), albeit in a losing effort. Sharpe struggled with efficiency in the loss, though he did record 20-plus points for the 13th time this season. Over his last five outings, the third-year pro has averaged 20.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.4 minutes per contest.
Jan 10, 2025
Solid with 22 points inl oss
Sharpe racked up 22 points (8-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 32 minutes during Thursday's 117-111 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Although Portland's defense gave away the win, Sharpe was effective with a team-high 22 points. Sharpe has failed to reach double-digit scoring only twice this season. and he extended a 20-plus point streak to three games in the defeat. The third-year pro is on pace to beat most of his previous seasonal averages, and his current average of 18.1.points over 29 games is 2.2 points higher than his 2023-24 result.
Jan 6, 2025
All-around showing in defeat
Sharpe provided 20 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals in 43 minutes during Monday's 118-115 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe made his mark on Monday's game in multiple ways, ending second on the team in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals while concluding two boards and two dimes shy of the double-digit mark. Sharpe set new season-high rebound and assist totals, posting his 10th outing of the year with 20 or more points.
Jan 3, 2025
Scores 19 points in defeat
Sharpe closed Thursday's 114-106 loss to the Lakers with 19 points (6-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old tied Deni Avdija for the second-highest scoring total on the Trail Blazers behind Anfernee Simons (23 points), albeit in a losing effort. Sharpe has been a fairly productive scorer through 25 regular-season appearances, though he has struggled from three-point range over his last 10 outings, during which he has shot 30.2 percent from downtown. In that 10-game span, the young guard has averaged 18.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 32.3 minutes per contest.
Dec 27, 2024
Pours in 27 points
Sharpe registered 27 points (11-18 FG, 5-10 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 31 minutes during Thursday's 122-120 win over Utah.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's shot was dialed in during the narrow win. He sunk a season-high five three-pointers, and outscored every player in the first unit. Sharpe's results will sometimes correlate directly to Anfernee Simons, and his teammate's uninspiring performance required Sharpe to pick up the slack.
Dec 22, 2024
Goes for 25 points in loss
Sharpe totaled 25 points (11-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 114-94 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers looked overmatched throughout the game, but Sharpe still found a way to post a strong stat line, and he led Portland in scoring by posting his second straight game with at least 25 points. That's a tally he's reached just four times this season, however, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect Sharpe to hit these figures often. Still, the former Kentucky alum is having a strong season in his third year in The Association and is averaging a career-high mark in scoring through his first 20 contests with 17.7 points per tilt.
Dec 20, 2024
Hits for 27 in victory
Sharpe finished with 27 points (9-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 victory over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe achieved his high total despite converting only two of his eight three-point attempts. He utilized excellent mid-range shooting and a near-perfect night at the charity stripe to reach his third-highest scoring result of the season. He also matched a season high with six rebounds in the victory.
Dec 9, 2024
Scores 19 points Sunday
Sharpe ended Sunday's 107-98 loss to the Lakers with 19 points (7-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and three assists across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Even though the Trail Blazers suffered yet another loss, Sharpe bounced back admirably after a 10-point effort in the blowout loss to the Jazz on Friday. The former Kentucky alum has been one of the most consistent scoring weapons for a struggling Blazers team this season. He's averaging 18.5 points per game across 14 starts, though he could use an uptick in efficiency since he's making just 42.9 percent of his shots, including a meager 29.7 percent from deep.
Dec 2, 2024
Stuffs stat sheet Sunday
Sharpe ended with 22 points (10-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Sunday's 137-131 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Anfernee Simons led the way for the Trail Blazers in this loss, but Sharpe delivered an impressive stat line as well, making his presence felt in other areas outside of just scoring. Sharpe is believed to be one of the long-term building blocks of the Blazers roster, and he's scored in double digits in each of his last 10 appearances, averaging 20.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in that span.
Nov 26, 2024
Shooting woes from deep in loss
Sharpe provided 15 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 30 minutes during Monday's 123-98 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old finished as the club's second-leading scorer behind Deni Avdija (17), though Sharpe struggled with efficiency once again. Across his last five outings, the young guard has shot 40.8 percent from the field while averaging 21.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals across 31.8 minutes per game.
Nov 23, 2024
Scores 13 points in loss Friday
Sharpe notched 13 points (3-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals across 23 minutes during Friday's 116-88 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers looked outmatched from start to finish in this matchup, and while Sharpe did what he could to provide an offensive boost, he struggled to get into a rhythm. Even though the 13 points were a team-high mark, this is not the kind of production fantasy managers want from the 21-year-old guard. However, he had cracked the 20-point mark in his previous three contests, so there's a chance this was nothing more than an off night.
Nov 18, 2024
Scores 32 points in win
Sharpe closed Sunday's 114-110 win over the Hawks with 32 points (11-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 7-12 FT), two rebounds, five assists and three steals over 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe led the way for Portland in this victory and extended his impressive streak in the scoring column, reaching the 30-point mark for the second straight game. Sharpe didn't make his season debut until Nov. 7 due to a shoulder injury, and it seems he's definitively trending in the right direction now that he's gotten all the rust out of him. After all, his first appearance of the season on Nov. 7 was his first regular-season contest since Jan. 11. Sharpe is averaging 22.3 points per game since being promoted to a starting role, where he's expected to remain for the foreseeable future.
Nov 14, 2024
Pours in 36 points
Sharpe finished with 33 points (12-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe finally came out of his shell Wednesday after a sluggish start to the season. The team moved Toumani Camara to the wing and slid Sharpe into the off-guard role with Anfernee Simons (illness) out. The switch could be the key to a continued increase for Sharpe, but implementing the change permanently will hurt Scoot Henderson's fantasy outlook.
Nov 10, 2024
Enters starting lineup
Sharpe will start Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe made his season debut Thursday after beginning the season with a shoulder injury. The 21-year-old pro has had a slow start to the year, averaging 9.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.5 minutes per game through two contests, but he will get an increased opportunity Sunday.
Nov 8, 2024
Not on injury report Friday
Sharpe is off the injury report for Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe played in his first game since Jan. 11 in Thursday's loss to the Spurs, during which he posted 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, an assist and a block across 20 minutes off the bench. The 21-year-old's availability in the second day of a back-to-back set bodes well for his status moving forward, and he could eventually take a spot in the starting five from Toumani Camara or Deni Avdija. The team will likely continue to ramp Sharpe back up to playing form slowly, though his health and scoring ability will likely result in an uptick in playing time.
Nov 8, 2024
Efficient scoring in limited run
Sharpe (shoulder) tallied 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 20 minutes off the bench in Thursday's 118-105 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
After missing the first eight games of the season while recovering from a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder, Sharpe was eased back into the rotation in a bench role. Sharpe will likely be operating under a minutes restriction for at least a few more games, but once he gets fully ramped up, he could be a candidate to replace either Toumani Camara or Deni Avdija in the starting five. Though he doesn't possess the most well-rounded fantasy profile, Sharpe has displayed some scoring potential during his brief time in the NBA and could be particularly useful in points leagues.
Nov 7, 2024
Available Thursday
Sharpe (shoulder) is available to play in Thursday's game versus the Spurs, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is expected to make his season debut off the bench, and he hasn't played in a regular-season matchup since Jan. 11 due to injuries to his abdomen and shoulder. The 21-year-old is expected to work his way back to regular playing time slowly, though he could eventually make a case to replace Toumani Camara as the club's starting two-guard.
Nov 6, 2024
Could be nearing return
Sharpe (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's season debut could be on the horizon, with Friday versus Minnesota and Sunday versus Memphis representing the remainder of three games in four days coming up for Portland. If Sharpe is cleared for Thursday's contest, he will likely be slowly eased into action.
Nov 3, 2024
Remains out
Sharpe (shoulder) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is due for another evaluation soon but remains out indefinitely while rehabbing from a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder. He can do some on-court work but hasn't been cleared for contact yet, suggesting he'll be sidelined for at least another week even if Portland treats him as day-to-day.
Oct 19, 2024
Team option exercised
The Trail Blazers exercised their fourth-year team option on Sharpe (shoulder) on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe suffered a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder that is expected to keep him sidelined a few weeks into the regular season. Still, his option being picked up indicates Portland views him in its plans going forward. When healthy, he is expected to provide depth on the wing this season.
Oct 11, 2024
Spotted in shootaround Friday
Sharpe (shoulder) was seen taking some shots during shootaround before Friday's preseason game against the Clippers, according to Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com.
ANALYSIS
Even though seeing Sharpe without his shoulder in a sling is encouraging, that shouldn't affect his recovery timeline, and the promising guard is set to miss the first few weeks of the season.
Oct 5, 2024
Out at least a month
The Trail Blazers announced Saturday that Sharpe has suffered a small posterior labral tear in his left shoulder and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss the beginning of the regular season due to his left shoulder injury. Deni Avdija, Toumani Camara, Kris Murray and Dalano Banton are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Sharpe will likely be one of Portland's primary bench options when available.
Oct 5, 2024
Dealing with shoulder injury
Sharpe won't participate in Saturday's Fan Fest due to a left shoulder injury and will undergo further evaluations, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe seems to have fully recovered from the abdominal surgery he underwent in January but is now dealing with a shoulder issue. His status for Portland's preseason opener against the Clippers on Friday is unclear.
Sep 30, 2024
Cleared for training camp
Trail Blazers general manager Joe Cronin said Monday that Sharpe (abdomen) has been cleared for training camp this week, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe underwent abdominal surgery in January, and although he was ramping up towards a return at the end of the 2023-24 season, the Trail Blazers decided to shut him down as a precaution. He'll have some hype in fantasy circles for obvious reasons, as he averaged 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 33.1 minutes per game over his 32 regular-season appearances.
Apr 9, 2024
Officially done for season
Sharpe (abdomen) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe underwent abdominal surgery in January, and while he has ascended to full-contact workouts in recent days, Portland feels no need to bring him back for the final four games of the season. Sharpe finishes his age-20 campaign with averages of 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 40.6/33.3/82.4 percent shooting across 32 appearances. Suiting up alongside pedigree point guard Scoot Henderson on just 23 occasions, Sharpe's 2024-25 outlook will be tough to measure given the lack of chemistry established thus far, while the potential presence of Anfernee Simons (knee) is a factor as well.
Apr 8, 2024
Absence continuing Tuesday
Sharpe (abdomen) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is running out of time to return to action this season, with Portland's regular-season finale coming Sunday versus Sacramento. Coach Chauncey Billups noted Thursday that Sharpe "looked good" and that that the team seeks to "challenge him physically to see if he can take it," but Sharpe has been limited to non-contact work during his time with the Trail Blazers' G League affiliate, so there's no evidence that a return to gameplay is near. The 20-year-old should be expected to miss the remainder of the season barring breaking news.
Apr 4, 2024
Improving, but return date unknown
Head coach Chauncey Billups said Wednesday that Sharpe (abdomen) is "getting better, getting on the court," but the second-year wing remains without a clear target date for a return, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. "He did a few things in our practice the other day, I thought he looked good so I was really excited about that," Billups said of Sharpe. "We'll just keep trying to ramp him up, challenge him physically to see if he can take it."
ANALYSIS
Sharpe resumed non-contact, on-court work last week with the G League's Rip City Remix and has since rejoined the Trail Blazers to continue his rehab program for the lower abdominal surgery he underwent in January. Though Billups spoke positively about Sharpe's recovery, the update doesn't provide much of an indication if or when the 20-year-old will play again this season. Sharpe looks unlikely to play in either of the final two games of the Trail Blazers' ongoing seven-game road trip, but he a return for any of the final four games of the regular season could still be in the cards.
Mar 27, 2024
Begins non-contact practice
Coach Chauncey Billups said Wednesday that Sharpe (abdomen) has started participating in non-contact practice with the G League's Rip City Remix, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is expected to remain out at least through April 9, when Portland returns from its road trip to play New Orleans. However, the 20-year-old guard is making progress in his recovery and has yet to be ruled out for the rest of the season.
Mar 24, 2024
Assigned to G League
Sharpe (abdomen) has been assigned to the team's G League affiliate for conditioning.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been out of the lineup since Jan. 11 due to a core muscle injury, but he seems to be trending in the right direction. Sharpe will get some run with the Rip City Remix for practice and conditioning as he ramps up and could potentially return to the Blazers for a couple of games before the season comes to a finish.
Mar 22, 2024
Increasing activity
Sharpe (abdomen) is ramping up basketball activities and is expected to be re-evaluated over the next few days, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
This update doesn't provide much in terms of a timeline for Sharpe's return, but it's worth noting that he's trending in the right direction. He only has a few weeks remaining until the regular season comes to a close, so it's still unclear whether Sharpe will have enough time to see game action this season.
Mar 7, 2024
Doing light shooting
Portland head coach Chauncey Billups said Wednesday that Sharpe (abdomen) has resumed light shooting work, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Just under one month removed from undergoing core-muscle surgery, Sharpe seems to be coming along as expected in his recovery, but he's still a long ways away from being ready to play in a game. The Trail Blazers plan to re-evaluate Sharpe in late March, at which point he could be cleared to increase his on-court work. Sharpe has an outside chance of playing a few games in April before the season ends, but fantasy managers in most competitive leagues shouldn't bother with rostering him until then.
Feb 9, 2024
Out at least six more weeks
Sharpe (abdomen) underwent successful surgery Friday and will be re-evaluated in approximately six weeks, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been sidelined since mid-January due to a lower abdominal strain, and the Trail Blazers announced Tuesday that he'd require surgery. While Sharpe will be re-evaluated in late March, it wouldn't be surprising if the team opts to shut him down for the remainder of the season at that time since Portland is out of contention in the Western Conference. The 20-year-old showed improvement to begin his second professional season, averaging 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 33.1 minutes per game over 32 appearances.
Feb 6, 2024
Set to undergo surgery
The Trail Blazers announced Tuesday that Sharpe (abdomen) has experienced worsening symptoms while ramping up basketball activities and will undergo surgery to address a core muscle injury. The procedure is tentatively scheduled for later this week but a timeline for return will be determined once the surgery is complete.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has missed Portland's last 13 contests due to a lower abdominal strain. While a return timetable has yet to be determined, he will likely remain out for an extended period. Jabari Walker and Malcolm Brogdon should continue to receive extended minutes in Sharpe's absence.
Feb 6, 2024
Still not practicing
Coach Chauncey Billups said Sharpe (abdomen) didn't practice Tuesday, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has progressed to individual on-court workouts, but he's still not cleared for contact. Portland has two games left this week -- Thursday versus Detroit and Saturday versus New Orleans -- but it'd be surprising to see him suit up for either of those contests.
Feb 4, 2024
Remains out Sunday
Sharpe (abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe hasn't played since Jan. 11 after aggravating a lower abdominal strain, which initially caused him to miss Portland's final five games in December. He returned to basketball activities at the end of January and is ramping up his on-court work, but it's unclear if he's been cleared for contact yet. Sharpe's next chance to suit up will come Thursday in Detroit.
Feb 1, 2024
Ruled out Friday
Sharpe (abdomen) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Friday will mark Sharpe's 12th consecutive game missed due to injury, but his recent return to participating in basketball activities is an encouraging sign he may return in the coming days or weeks. The Blazers definitely miss his production, as prior to injury he averaged 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.4 blocks through 33.1 minutes.
Jan 31, 2024
Returning to basketball activities
The Trail Blazers announced Wednesday that Sharpe (abdomen) is making good progress in his rehab and will begin ramping up with light-on court activities.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe missed five games at the end of December due to an adductor injury but returned and played in six straight games before aggravating the issue during a Jan. 11 matchup in Oklahoma City. He's been sidelined since and will miss an 11th consecutive contest Wednesday versus Milwaukee. Given he isn't cleared for contact, Sharpe still has a few hurdles to clear before suiting up, but following Wednesday's game, Portland ends Week 15 with back-to-back matchups in Denver on Friday and Sunday.
Jan 30, 2024
Won't play against Milwaukee
Sharpe (abdomen) is out for Wednesday's game versus the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's absence streak will extend to 11 games Wednesday while dealing with a right abdominal strain. His next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Denver.
Jan 15, 2024
To be re-evaluated in two weeks
Sharpe (thigh) will be re-evaluated in two weeks after further testing showed a lower abdominal strain, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has missed two straight games after aggravating a pre-existing injury, and he'll be shut down for at least the next two weeks following this latest update. Look for Malcolm Brogdon (groin) and Matisse Thybulle (illness) to pick up additional opportunities in Sharpe's absence, assuming they're able to return to health.
Jan 13, 2024
Out again Sunday
Sharpe (thigh) will not play in Sunday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss his second straight game after aggravating his injury during Thursday's loss to the Thunder. Portland is off until Wednesday's game against the Nets after they take on the Suns, but it remains to be seen if Sharpe will be ready for that one.
Jan 12, 2024
Won't play Friday
Sharpe (adductor) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
During Thursday's loss to Oklahoma City, Sharpe aggravated an adductor injury that caused him to miss five straight games at the end of December, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out for the second half of Portland's back-to-back set. He can also be considered questionable, at best, for Sunday's matchup in Phoenix. Malcolm Brogdon (rest) is expected to play Friday after being a late scratch Thursday, so he should absorb most of Sharpe's missing minutes.
Jan 11, 2024
Won't return Thursday
Sharpe will not return to Thursday's game against the Thunder due to a right adductor strain. He finished with seven points (3-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been battling this issue for a while, but it's also possible that the lopsided score factored into the decision. Portland plays again Friday versus the Timberwolves, and it remains to be seen if Sharpe will be able to give it a go. If not, Portland could turn to Kris Murray and Matisse Thybulle to soak up some minutes.
Jan 7, 2024
Dominates off bench in victory
Sharpe finished Sunday's 134-127 overtime win over Brooklyn with 21 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and two steals across 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe led all bench players in Sunday's contest in scoring while connecting on a trio of threes and adding a pair of steals en route to ending as one of three Trail Blazers with 20 or more points in an overtime victory. Sharpe has scored at least 20 points in 10 games this year and has tallied 15 or more points in three straight appearances.
Jan 7, 2024
Minutes restriction lifted
Sharpe won't have a minutes restriction during Sunday's matchup against the Nets, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
Following a five-game absence, Sharpe has operated off the bench for three straight games, averaging 21.3 minutes during that stretch. Before the injury, Sharpe was playing 36.1 minutes per night. He likely won't return to that type of workload right away, but it's safe to expect him to play around 30 minutes versus Brooklyn.
Jan 3, 2024
Still on minutes restriction
Sharpe is on a minutes restriction for Wednesday's game versus the Mavericks, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will come off the bench for the second straight game after missing Portland's previous five contests with a strained adductor. Sharpe will likely receive a similar workload to the 18 minutes he played against Phoenix.
Jan 2, 2024
Scores six points in return
Sharpe provided six points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes during Monday's 109-88 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe had missed the previous five games for Portland due to a thigh injury, so he had heavy restrictions Monday night. He struggled to find his rhythm too, missing all five of his three-point attempts. Portland's next game is Wednesday versus Dallas, and Sharpe will likely have his restrictions eased for that one.
Jan 1, 2024
Cleared to play, will be restricted
Sharpe (thigh) is available for Monday's game against Phoenix, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will return from a five-game absence due to a sprained adductor. Anfernee Simons (illness) and Toumani Camara (knee) are out, but Sharpe will be on an unspecified minutes restriction, per coach Chauncey Billups, and it's unclear if he'll immediately slot back into the starting lineup Monday.
Dec 31, 2023
Considered questionable Monday
Sharpe (thigh) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers have been without Sharpe for five straight games, but the second-year guard is getting closer to a return. Portland will be missing Anfernee Simons (illness) and Deandre Ayton (knee) for Monday's game, so Sharpe will have to step right back into a massive role if he gets the green light. He's been terrific this season, posting averages of 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.1 three-pointers.
Dec 29, 2023
Remains out
Sharpe (thigh) won't play in Friday's game versus the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's absence streak will extend to five games Friday due to a right adductor strain. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Phoenix.
Dec 27, 2023
Still sidelined
Sharpe (thigh) won't play in Thursday's game against San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been absent since Dec. 19, when he strained his right adductor. During his absence, Malcolm Brogdon has stepped into the starting lineup, and will likely do so again Thursday. Sharpe will have an opportunity to return for the tail end of Portland's back-to-back Friday.
Dec 26, 2023
Out Tuesday
Sharpe (groin) will not play Tuesday against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss his third straight game due to a right adductor strain, with his next opportunity to take the court being Thursday against San Antonio. Malcolm Brogdon moves into the starting lineup in his stead.
Dec 25, 2023
Upgraded to questionable
Sharpe (groin) is questionable to play Tuesday versus Sacramento, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is amid a two-game absence due to a right adductor strain, but a questionable designation marks a step in the right direction for the 20-year-old. If he's unable to suit up Tuesday, a back-to-back set on Thursday and Friday against San Antonio looms on Portland's schedule, so it's possible that Sharpe could be eased back into action throughout the week.
Dec 22, 2023
Out again Saturday
Sharpe (groin) won't play in Saturday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will miss a second consecutive game with right groin soreness. While he's sidelined, expect Malcolm Brogdon to remain with the starters while Matisse Thybulle and Scoot Henderson could receive more run off the bench. Sharpe's next chance to play will come Tuesday against Sacramento.
Dec 20, 2023
Won't play Thursday
Sharpe (groin) is out for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe exited Tuesday's game early due to right adductor soreness that will now hold him out of Thursday's matchup against the Wizards. Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson will likely see extended minutes in Sharpe's absence.
Dec 19, 2023
Won't return Tuesday
Sharpe is out for the remainder of Tuesday's game versus the Suns due to right adductor soreness. Sharpe will finish the contest with zero points (0-1 FG) and one rebound in eight minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe appears to have aggravated the injury that had been bothering him ahead of Tuesday's contest. Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson are candidates to receive extended minutes in his absence. Sharpe's status for Thursday's matchup with Washington is uncertain.
Dec 19, 2023
Good to go Tuesday
Sharpe (groin) will play in Tuesday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was carrying a questionable tag prior to this update, but he officially has the green light. There haven't been many updates on Sharpe since his late addition to Monday's injury report, but there's no word of any restrictions.
Dec 18, 2023
Questionable for Tuesday
Sharpe (groin) is questionable to play Monday against Phoenix, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is dealing with right adductor soreness. He was a late addition to Monday's injury report despite logging 27 minutes in Sunday's loss to Golden State. No in-game injury was reported, but his status for Monday is murky.
Dec 12, 2023
Scores 27 points in loss
Sharpe had 27 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal across 41 minutes during Monday's 132-127 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe made plays all over the court in the loss, making up for the missing output of Jerami Grant (concussion) and Malcolm Brogdon (knee) effectively. As long as the roster remains snake-bit with injuries, Sharpe's usage will be sky-high.
Dec 9, 2023
Sniffs double-double in win
Sharpe finished Friday's 125-112 loss to Dallas with 24 points (7-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal over 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe delivered a solid line in the win, and the myriad of absences continue to help out Sharpe's totals. The Trail Blazers have played few games without a completely healthy group, and it's unclear how the dust will settle with a full roster. Sharpe can play three positions, which may make him a more valuable sixth man in the future, but his floor is safe for the time being.
Dec 7, 2023
Sharp in losing effort
Sharpe provided 26 points (10-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 110-106 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers used Sharpe in a three-player set with Malcolm Brogdon (knee) and Anfernee Simons, employing a small-ball approach to account for Jerami Grant's (concussion) absence. Grant could return as soon as this weekend, but with Brogdon's status in doubt, Sharpe will find himself somewhere in the Trail Blazers' starting lineup despite Anfernee Simons' return to action.
Dec 1, 2023
Big double-double against Cavs
Sharpe chipped in 29 points (11-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Thursday's 103-95 victory over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard led all scorers on the night as he tied his season highs in points and made three-pointers while delivering his first double-double. Sharpe has only failed to score in double digits once so far in 2023-24, and the 20-year-old has taken full advantage of Damian Lillard's departure and a thumb injury to Anfernee Simons. Simons is aiming for a mid-December return, which could cut into Sharpe's usage, but having some reliable help in the backcourt aside from Malcolm Brogdon -- rookie Scoot Henderson is shooting just 33.3 percent from the floor -- might also boost his efficiency.
Nov 28, 2023
Season-high three steals
Sharpe produced 11 points (4-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and three steals across 35 minutes during Monday's 114-110 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe produced a season-high three steals in the win, while also scoring double-digits for the fourth straight game. Despite continuing to be a somewhat reliable source of points, Sharpe's efficiency from the field remains an issue. He is shooting 39.1 percent for the season but over the past two weeks, that is down to 32.4 percent. He remains a viable standard league asset as long as his poor shooting can be swallowed.
Nov 23, 2023
Drops 14 points in win
Sharpe posted 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 121-105 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was held in check on the scoreboard during his last two appearances, but he bounced back with an efficient showing from the floor Wednesday. While Sharpe's production in secondary categories has been somewhat inconsistent this season, he's played at least 30 minutes in all but three appearances this season and is averaging 16.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 36.5 minutes per game.
Nov 16, 2023
Pulled in fourth quarter
Sharpe finished with 11 points (2-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds and five assists over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 109-95 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers need to tread carefully with its depleted backcourt, so it was no surprise to see Sharpe take a seat with the game out of hand. The lopsided total gave the Trail Blazers an opportunity to give their third unit additional playing time as they search for alternative sets in the rotation to minimize the heavy load assumed by the starting five.
Nov 15, 2023
Good to go
Sharpe (knee) is good to go for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was carrying a probable tag due to some minor soreness, likely a result of the heavy workloads he's been seeing with Portland.
Nov 13, 2023
Retains steady backcourt presence
Sharpe produced 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and four assists in 42 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
While Scoot Henderson (ankle), Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Anfernee Simons (thumb) sit on the sidelines, Sharpe is fulfilling his role as a versatile fill-in for the Trail Blazers' backcourt, a role he performed with excellence last season. Sharpe will start until the team gets Simons back, and he'll perform as a quality sixth man when the team is fully healthy.
Nov 4, 2023
Plays the hero in OT win
Sharpe chipped in 22 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 46 minutes during Friday's 115-113 overtime victory over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe swatted a ball and hit a pari of free throws to send the game into overtime, where the Blazers ultimately prevailed in the first round of the In-Season tournament. Scoot Henderson's (ankle) injury tag and Anfernee Simons' (thumb) extended absence puts Sharpe center stage in the backcourt, and one should expect his usage to remain high for the next month while Simons recovers..
Nov 3, 2023
Upgraded to available, will start
Sharpe (thumb) will play Friday against the Grizzlies, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports. He will be in the starting lineup, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The presence of Sharpe is a massive boost for Portland's backcourt since they're already down two of their best players in Scoot Henderson (ankle) and Anfernee Simons (thumb). Look for Sharpe to handle a high usage rate against a struggling Grizzlies team at the start of the In-Season Tournament for both teams.
Nov 2, 2023
Probable for Friday
Sharpe is probable for Friday's game against Memphis with a right thumb sprain.
ANALYSIS
The injury is to Sharpe's shooting hand, but the probable tag suggests that the issue is mild. With Scoot Henderson (ankle) sidelined for Friday, Sharpe and Malcolm Brogdon will likely have more touches coming their way.
Nov 2, 2023
Goes for 29 points in win
Sharpe notched 29 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 110-101 victory over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is making the most of his move to the starting lineup with Anfernee Simons (thumb) sidelined, and he continues to prove he has elite scoring potential and tons of fantasy upside if given enough minutes. Considering the Trail Blazers are fully committed to a rebuilding process, that should give Sharpe lots of chances to play meaningful minutes as well. The 20-year-old has scored at least 20 points in three of his four games as a starter.
Oct 31, 2023
Pops for 14 in Monday's start
Sharpe ended Monday's 99-91 victory over Toronto with 14 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Anfernee Simons (thumb) sidelined, Sharpe has started three straight games and been productive, averaging 19.3 points, 5.0 boards, 2.7 threes, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals a night. He's had to carry the load in the Portland backcourt while rookie Scoot Henderson adjusts to the NBA, even though the 20-year-old Sharpe is only in his second campaign himself, and the result so far has been a breakout pace.
Oct 30, 2023
Goes for 20 points in blowout loss
Sharpe posted 20 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 126-98 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe moved to the starting lineup after Anfernee Simons went down with a thumb injury that will keep him out for several weeks, and he has adjusted well to the challenge by scoring at least 20 points in his two games with the first unit. He needs to take better care of the ball after posting a 2:3 AST:TO ratio in those two outings, an issue that becomes even more noticeable with the struggles of Scoot Henderson, but all things considered, he's trending in the right direction and remains valuable as a scoring weapon for a rebuilding Trail Blazers club.
Oct 28, 2023
24 points in starting role
Sharpe produced 24 points (9-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 41 minutes during Friday's 102-97 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Anfernee Simons (thumb) will be out for over.a month, but the Trail Blazers have a lot of confidence in Sharpe, who distinguished himself with a standout rookie campaign. Even with a healthy backcourt, Sharpe was slated to be an integral part of a rebuild in the wake of Damian Lillard's departure. His usage will now exceed projections well into November.
Oct 27, 2023
Moves into starting lineup
Sharpe will enter the starting lineup Friday against the Magic, according to Portland reporter Casey Holdahl.
ANALYSIS
Anfernee Simons will miss 4-6 weeks with a torn UCL in his right thumb, allowing Sharpe to move into the first unit. Sharpe offers a lot of upside and looked great on Opening Night, scoring 14 points with six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one triple in 28 minutes.
Oct 25, 2023
Won't start Wednesday
Sharpe isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's season opener against the Clippers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will be replaced by Anfernee Simons in the starting lineup Wednesday, as expected. Sharpe will likely be one of Portland's first options off the bench in the backcourt this season.
Oct 23, 2023
Likely heading for bench role
Sharpe is unlikely to begin the regular season as part of the Trail Blazers' starting lineup, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe made 80 appearances (15 starts) for Portland last season and averaged 9.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game. He was competing for a starting role during the preseason, but coach Chauncey Billups indicated Monday that he's "pretty set" on putting Matisse Thybulle into the starting lineup for the start of the regular season. However, Sharpe should still have an opportunity to carve out a relatively consistent role off the bench.
Oct 16, 2023
Returns to starting lineup
Sharpe is in the starting lineup for Monday's preseason contests against the Suns, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe gets the starting nod while Anfernee Simons, Malcolm Brogdon and Matisse Thybulle take the night off for rest purposes. The 20-year-old posted 20 points in 29 minutes in Saturday's preseason loss to the Jazz.
Oct 15, 2023
Excellent off bench
Sharpe finished with 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals across 29 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 138-133 preseason loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe might have played off the bench in this one, but he was impressive as an offensive threat, and he probably saw his stock rise as he is battling for a regular spot in the starting unit. Sharpe ended his rookie year on a strong note and is looking to build off that to take a leap forward as one of Portland's main cornerstones for the future of the franchise.
Oct 14, 2023
Not starting Saturday
Sharpe is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Jazz, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe won't start in this one, as Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson will handle the backcourt duties while Matisse Thybulle will play the three. Sharpe should see decent minutes off the bench, though.
Oct 13, 2023
Poor from deep in preseason loss
Sharpe tallied 12 points (5-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 30 minutes against the Suns in an exhibition loss Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe shot 36.0 percent from three-point range as a rookie last season, so he's shown the ability to do much better than his 1-for-7 mark Thursday implies. The forward shot a solid 47.2 percent overall from the field last year, thus fantasy managers don't need to assume that he'll be a field-goal percentage drain if they add him to their roster for the coming campaign. Sharpe should see increased opportunity this year following a strong finish to his first NBA campaign and the offseason departure of Damian Lillard.
Oct 12, 2023
Moves into starting lineup
Sharpe will start against the Suns in Thursday's preseason action, Duane Rankin of Arizona Central reports.
ANALYSIS
Matisse Thybulle started against the New Zealand Breakers on Tuesday, so now it's Sharpe's turn to showcase what he can do with the first unit. Sharpe offers more upside offensively for his three-point shooting and ability to get to the rim for his acrobatic dunks, while Thybulle is loved in the fantasy community for his ability to generate steals and blocks.
Oct 10, 2023
Team option picked up
Sharpe's third-year team option for 2024-25 was picked up by Portland on Tuesday, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe's option is merely a formality for Portland, as retaining the rising guard is a no-brainer for the franchise. Set to enter his age-20 season, Sharpe averaged 18.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 15 games as a starter last year.
Jul 11, 2023
Leads team in scoring
Sharpe racked up 26 points (8-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-11 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 97-93 Summer League win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe showed off his offensive repertoire from all over the court Tuesday. Sharpe, Scoot Henderson and Anfernee Simons project to be a core with a lot of upside if the Trail Blazers ultimately trade Damian Lillard.
Jul 7, 2023
Pours in 21 points
Sharpe logged 21 points (7-21 FG, 3-9 3PT, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and three triples across 32 minutes of Friday's 100-99 Summer League loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe showcased his usual explosiveness, taking off near the free throw line for one of his dunks in the fourth quarter. Sharpe also seemed to mesh well with Scoot Henderson, and it's possible those two could be starting together in the backcourt if the Blazers are able to unload Damian Lillard after his trade request.
Apr 10, 2023
Scores 18 in season finale
Sharpe logged 18 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Sunday's 157-101 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe started the season as a bench option but saw extended minutes when the team decided to shut down Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons. The rookie out of Kentucky thrived in an expanded role, averaging 23.7 points per game over his final 10 starts of the season. He should continue his growth next season, but he could become a long-term building block in the franchise for years to come.
Apr 9, 2023
Will play in finale
Head coach Chauncey Billups said Sharpe (quad) will play Sunday against the Warriors, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Sharpe has been upgraded from probable to available and will suit up during Portland's regular-season finale. Over his past nine appearances (all starts), the rookie first-round pick has averaged 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 36.8 minutes per game.
Apr 9, 2023
Probable Sunday
Sharpe is probable for Sunday's game against the Warriors due to a right quad contusion.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe should be good to go for Portland's final regular-season game, and he should continue to get all the run he can handle with the Trail Blazers resting so many key guys. He's a reasonable target in daily fantasy leagues.
Apr 8, 2023
Scores 26 points in loss
Sharpe totaled 26 points (10-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Saturday's 136-125 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been playing at a high level of late and has thrived in a starting role with both Damian Lillard (calf) out for the rest of the season and Anfernee Simons (foot) being unlikely to play again. Sharpe has scored at least 20 points in eight of his nine last starts while reaching the 25-point plateau in four for the last five. That bodes well for him to have a strong outing in the regular-season finale against the Warriors on Sunday.
Apr 8, 2023
Starting Saturday
Sharpe is set to start at shooting guard for Saturday's game against the Clippers, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is returning from a one-game absence due to a knee injury. Portland is down a plethora of players, so the rookie is seemingly in line for a big workload.
Apr 7, 2023
Not on injury report
Sharpe (knee) is absent from the Trail Blazers injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe missed the Trail Blazers' previous game due to an knee injury. With several other absences on the roster, the rookie figures to see a healthy workload in the contest.
Apr 6, 2023
Ruled out Thursday
Sharpe (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Spurs, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With Portland down numerous starters, Sharpe has been absolutely stellar over the past eight games, posting 24.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 36.8 minutes per contest. However, he picked up a knee injury recently and will be sidelined for at least one game. Following Thursday's matchup, Portland ends the 2022-23 campaign with a Saturday-Sunday back-to-back set versus the Clippers and Warriors, respectively, but it's currently unclear if Sharpe will be able to suit up for either of those contests.
Apr 5, 2023
Questionable Thursday
Sharpe is questionable for Thursday's game in San Antonio due to left knee tendinopathy.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been on an absolute tear for the tanking Trail Blazers as of late, scoring at least 20 points in seven of his past eight games, so if he's forced to the sidelines the Trail Blazers will be desperate for some offense. Skylar Mays and Kevin Knox would likely see a ton of shots falling their way and Shaquille Harrison could receive a spot start. Stay tuned.
Apr 5, 2023
Another strong performance
Sharpe contributed 20 points (8-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and six assists across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe finished with at least six rebounds and six assists for a second straight game and scored at least 20 points for the seventh time over his past eight appearances (all starts). During that stretch, the rookie first-round pick has averaged 24.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 36.8 minutes per game.
Apr 2, 2023
Lifts offense in near 30-point game
Sharpe chipped in 27 points (9-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), six rebounds and six assists over 35 minutes during Sunday's 107-105 victory over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe led all Raptors players in scoring during Sunday's victory, tallying 18 of those points in the second and fourth quarters combined. Sharpe, who also finished four assists and four rebounds short of a triple-double, has surpassed the 25-point mark four times this year, including in four of his last five outings.
Apr 1, 2023
Continues excellent play
Sharpe posted 27 points (10-20 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes during Friday's 138-114 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has drawn six straight starts and scored at least 20 points in five of those contests. During that stretch, he's averaging 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks with 46/44/80 shooting splits. With Damian Lillard (calf) shut down for the rest of the season, Sharpe should continue to excel as Portland's primary playmaker, though his usage could take a hit if Anfernee Simons (foot), Jerami Grant (quadriceps) or Cam Reddish (back) return to action during the final week-plus of the regular season.
Mar 30, 2023
First career 30-point game
Sharpe notched 30 points (10-27 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one block in 45 minutes during Wednesday's 120-80 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
With numerous Trail Blazers sidelined, Sharpe continues to impress and finished with career highs in points and assists during the blowout loss. The rookie has started five straight games, averaging 23.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 steals during that stretch, and figures to remain a huge part of Portland's rotation with Damian Lillard (calf) shut down fro the remainder of the season.
Mar 27, 2023
Continues to impress
Sharpe closed Sunday's 118-112 loss to the Thunder with 29 points (9-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-11 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has looked strong in three straight contests since entering Portland's starting lineup in place of Anfernee Simons (foot), as he's averaged 25.7 points to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals over this brief hot stretch. His 29-point night marks a new career high, and he'll be an enticing add for fantasy managers in search of scoring until Anfernee Simons (foot) is cleared to return.
Mar 23, 2023
Scores career-sigh 24 points
Sharpe produced 24 points (9-19 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and four steals over 40 minutes during Wednesday's 127-115 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
With Anfernee Simons (foot) sidelined, Sharpe stepped in and put up the best line of his pro career. The rookie filled in for Damian Lillard earlier in the season with mixed success, but his work with the second unit has increased his fantasy viability.
Mar 22, 2023
Starting Wednesday
Sharpe will move into the starting unit for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe is replacing Anfernee Simons (foot) in the first unit and he'll be joined by Damian Lillard, Matisse Thybulle, Trendon Watford and Jusuf Nurkic. Across five starts this season, Sharpe has posted averages of 8.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 turnover per game on 40.4 percent shooting.
Mar 20, 2023
Scores 10 points off bench
Sharpe had 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one block and three steals across 24 minutes during Sunday's 117-102 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has played over 20 minutes in just three of his past six appearances, but he's scored in double figures each time he's reached that threshold. The dynamic rookie also tied his season high with three steals and blocked a shot for the second time over his past three games.

Goes for 14 points off bench
Sharpe registered 14 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and three assists over 22 minutes during Sunday's 127-110 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The rookie looked good off the bench and continues to show promise as a potential long-term building block for the franchise. The lack of consistency is to be expected, given this is his first year in the league, but he's still scored in double digits in three of his last eight appearances while averaging 22.3 minutes per game in that span.

Scores 13 points off bench
Sharpe accumulated 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 123-105 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
After two consecutive single-digit scoring outings, Sharpe bounced back Tuesday with his fifth double-digit performance over his past seven games. During that stretch, the rookie first-round pick is averaging 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks in 24.4 minutes per game. This is arguably Sharpe's most consistent stretch of the season, but he still remains a risky play in most fantasy formats.
Feb 24, 2023
Quiet off bench
Sharpe had nine points (4-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes during Thursday's 133-116 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was originally expected to start Thursday with Damian Lillard (rest) and Anfernee Simons (ankle) both sidelined, but the Blazers went with Ryan Arcidiacono instead. Meanwhile, Cam Reddish and Nassir Little combined for 50 points in the starting lineup, further complicating this logjam on the wings. Sharpe is still a good bet to emerge with plenty of fantasy value on this team and came into Thursday averaging 13.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.3 three-pointers in his previous four games.
Feb 23, 2023
Actually coming off bench
Correcting an earlier report, Sharpe will come off the bench for Thursday's game against the Kings, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
An earlier report indicated Sharpe would draw the starting nod with the Trail Blazers missing four of their typical five starters but they will instead turn to Ryan Arcidiacono. Regardless, Sharpe should be expected to see ample run Thursday considering how thin Portland is in the backcourt.
Feb 23, 2023
Starting Thursday
Sharpe will join the first unit for Thursday's meeting with the Kings, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will slide into the starting lineup with Damian Lillard (rest) and Anfernee Simons (ankle) sidelined. in five starts this season, Sharpe has averaged 8.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 27.0 minutes.
Feb 14, 2023
Production ticking upward
Sharpe finished with 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists and three steals across 26 minutes in Monday's 127-115 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Efficient scoring has been Sharpe's calling card so far during his rookie season, but the 19-year-old has been upping his production in the peripheral categories of late to put himself on the radar as a potential pickup in 14-team leagues or deeper. Just three days after setting a new career high with a pair of blocks in a loss to the Thunder, Sharpe came away with new personal bests in the assists and steals columns Monday.
Feb 11, 2023
Delivers solid fantasy line
Sharpe closed with 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 29 minutes during Friday's 138-129 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
This was Sharpe's second game in a row with 13 points. With Josh Hart now with the Knicks, there are a lot of minutes up for grabs in Portland and Sharpe will like his chances of claiming some of them. He's a name to watch as we get closer to the All-Star break.
Feb 9, 2023
Shines off bench Wednesday
Sharpe had 13 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one block over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 125-122 victory over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was highly efficient from the field and posted a solid stat line, missing just two shots from the field and ending just one rebound away from tying his career-best mark in that category. This was also a bounce-back outing for Sharpe, as he was coming off four straight games where he couldn't reach the 10-point plateau.
Feb 5, 2023
Fails to fire again Saturday
Sharpe ended with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 17 minutes during Saturday's 129-121 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe continues to disappoint, failing to top double-digits for the fifth time in his past six games. Despite carving out a 20-minute role for himself, Sharpe has been unable to turn playing time into fantasy production. He currently sits well outside the top 300 in nine-category formats, making him an afterthought, even in the deepest of leagues.
Jan 24, 2023
Pops for 19 points Monday
Sharpe amassed 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal over 27 minutes during Monday's 147-127 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe popped for 19 points in the win, the most he has scored since mid-November. The rookie has had a few promising moments throughout the season, but on the whole, it has been a little disappointing. His lack of peripheral production limits his overall appeal, making him a streaming consideration, at best. With that said, he has scored double-digits only three times in the past 10 games, and so there are likely more reliable sources of points available, even in competitive formats.
Jan 18, 2023
Offers scoring, but little else
Sharpe finished with 13 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and two rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's 122-113 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Given his standing as a rookie guard who didn't play college basketball, Sharpe's 55.1 true shooting percentage has been noteworthy, but the 19-year-old still remains well off the fantasy radar outside of very deep leagues. Though he's settled into a regular role on the second unit and has now hit double digits in points in two of his last three games, Sharpe is doing little else to supplement the scoring. Despite playing no fewer than 14 minutes in any of his last 10 appearances, Sharpe is averaging just 2.6 rebounds, 1.0 three-pointers, 0.8 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1. blocks.
Jan 13, 2023
Struggles in 21 minutes
Sharpe contributed two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over 21 minutes during Thursday's 119-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe saw a few extra minutes in the loss but failed to do anything with them. He has now scored in single-digits in four straight games, dropping a combined 17 points in that time. Outside of scoring, Sharpe has very little to fall back on when it comes to overall production, meaning he is a long way off being even close to an add in standard or even deeper formats.
Jan 5, 2023
Big minutes in loss
Sharpe registered 13 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 113-106 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe saw almost 28 minutes, the most in his last eight appearances, and he provided a solid performance. This marked his second straight game scoring in double figures. It's been an up and down year but over his last three contests, the young backup is shooting a solid 63.1 percent from the field while averaging 10.0 points, including one made three-pointer, per game.
Dec 27, 2022
Only seven minutes despite blowout
Sharpe totaled one rebound in seven minutes during Monday's 124-113 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe managed just seven minutes in the victory, continuing what has been a disappointing season thus far. Despite a clear ability to score the basketball, his lack of peripheral stats and inconsistent shooting have seen him fall well off the fantasy radar. At this stage, he would need a number of other players to go down with an injury before he could be considered a pickup in standard formats.
Dec 17, 2022
Big minutes in loss
Sharpe accumulated 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 29 minutes during Friday's 130-110 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe played almost 30 minutes, the most he's seen in over a month, but didn't do much with it. It did mark the third straight game he's scored in double-digits but he just hasn't been producing enough in other categories to be considered in standard leagues. The 19-year-old is averaging 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 20.3 minutes per game this season.
Dec 9, 2022
Only seven points in loss
Sharpe posted seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and one steal in 14 minutes during Thursday's 121-120 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe struggled yet again in the loss, scoring fewer than eight points for the ninth time in the past 10 games. While there have been brief flashes thus far during his rookie campaign, he simply offers very little when it comes to overall fantasy value. At this point, he should be viewed as a possible streaming candidate, and even then he comes with an element of risk.
Dec 1, 2022
Goes for 16 points
Sharpe tallied 16 points (7-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three rebounds in 28 minutes in Wednesday's 128-109 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie lottery pick finished with his second-best scoring haul of the season while matching his point production from each of the previous five games combined. While Sharpe has shown occasional bursts of scoring while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point range, his contributions in other areas of the box score are often non-existent. He's averaging just 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.2 blocks in 20.3 minutes per game, and he'll be a prime candidate to lose out on playing time as soon as Damian Lillard (calf) is cleared to return to the lineup.
Nov 29, 2022
Active Tuesday
Sharpe (illness) is available to play Tuesday against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Sharpe will be available for the Blazers on Tuesday despite battling an illness. The rookie has averaged 8.0 points and 2.4 rebounds across 19 outings this year.
Nov 29, 2022
Listed probable Tuesday
Sharpe is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Clippers due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been a late addition to the injury report ahead of Tuesday's matchup with a non-COVID illness. However, the guard will likely play barring any major setbacks before tipoff.
Nov 23, 2022
Coming off bench Wednesday
Sharpe will come off the bench Wednesday against the Cavaliers, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Chauncey Billups noted he wants the team to get off to a stronger start defensively, so he's inserting Justise Winslow into the starting five. Sharpe should have plenty of opportunities to get shots up while playing with the second unit during Damian Lillard's (calf) absence.
Nov 21, 2022
Will start for Lillard
Sharpe will start Monday's game at Milwaukee in place of the injured Damian Lillard (calf), Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, the rookie will move back into the starting five with Lillard once again shelved due to a calf injury. When Lillard missed four games earlier in the season, Sharpe made four consecutive starts and averaged 9.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks while shooting 47.4 percent from the field. It's unclear how much time Lillard will miss, but Sharpe figures to start at least the next two games prior to Thanksgiving. Portland is off Tuesday before playing at Cleveland on Wednesday.
Nov 18, 2022
First time with 20 points
Sharpe accumulated 20 points (7-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 21 minutes during Thursday's 109-107 loss to Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe set a new season-high in scoring on a strong shooting night from the field. He's looked confident from downtown over his last two games, knocking down six of eight attempts. Sharpe typically doesn't add much value outside of the scoring department, however, as he's averaging 10.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.1 assists and 0.3 steals over eight contests in November.
Nov 16, 2022
Leads bench in scoring
Sharpe recorded 13 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one block across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 117-110 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe made the most of his chances on the offensive end and managed to score in double figures for the second time in three games. He's been able to contribute on a regular basis from beyond the arc of late, knocking down at least one triple in each of his last six matchups.
Nov 12, 2022
Available Saturday
Sharpe (finger) is available for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe returns following a one-game absence due to a broken finger. He's seen an increased role with the Trail Blazers dealing with injuries lately. Over the past seven games, he's averaged 10.9 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24.3 minutes.
Nov 11, 2022
Questionable Saturday
Sharpe (finger) is questionable for Saturday's game at Dallas, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe has been diagnosed with a volar avulsion fracture in his right fifth finger, but it's not considered severe enough to keep him out for an extended period. He'll be day-to-day, starting with a questionable designation this weekend.
Nov 10, 2022
Out Thursday
Sharpe (finger) won't play Thursday against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe was initially considered probable but he'll ultimately join a long list of Trail Blazers missing Thursday's contest against the Pelicans. The rookie guard recorded a career-high 17 points in Portland's most recent game. With Sharpe unavailable, more minutes are in line for Keon Johnson and Josh Hart.
Nov 10, 2022
Probable Thursday
Sharpe is probable for Thursday's game against the Pelicans due to a right finger sprain.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe tallied a career-high 17 points during Wednesday's win over the Hornets, but he's apparently dealing with a finger issue following the game. However, it seems likely that he'll be available for the second half of the back-to-back set.
Nov 10, 2022
Career-high 17 points
Sharpe scored 17 points (7-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with four rebounds over 28 minutes in Wednesday's 105-95 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe got off to a quick start, coming off the bench and knocking down three of four shots in the first quarter for seven points. He later knocked down his only two field goal attempts in the fourth quarter for another four points to help Portland extend their lead to eight, finishing the game with a career-high 17 points. Sharpe has now scored in double figures in seven of 11 games this season and continues to play a key role off the bench for the Trail Blazers.
Nov 8, 2022
Moves back to bench
Sharpe notched five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one rebound over 12 minutes during Monday's 110-107 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
After a four-game run in the starting lineup, Sharpe shifted back to a reduced role off the bench with both Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons healthy. Sharpe has already demonstrated some encouraging flashes this season, but he's unlikely to do enough to warrant rostering in most standard league. In dynasty formats, however, he holds significantly more appeal.
Nov 6, 2022
Sputters in spot start
Sharpe finished Saturday's 102-82 loss to the Suns with 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds and one block in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Damian Lillard (calf) and Anfernee Simons (leg) sidelined, Portland's starting five looked markedly different, and the new scheme wasn't vey productive. Although Sharpe underperformed Saturday, the rookie has the potential to make a more solid impact if Lillard remains out.
Oct 29, 2022
Looks good in starting role
Sharpe recorded 14 points (7-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 29 minutes during Friday's 125-111 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe certainly didn't look out of place as he entered the starting lineup Friday, sliding in for the injured Damian Lillard (calf). While he didn't have a particularly well-rounded evening, he continues to flash his offensive upside. As long as he is logging significant minutes, he is worth a look across all formats.
Oct 28, 2022
Starting for injured Lillard
Sharpe will start Friday's game against the Rockets, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe will draw his first start of the season with Damian Lillard (calf) sidelined for the Trail Blazers. Lillard will be re-evaluated in 1-to-2 weeks, so it's possible Sharpe remains in the starting lineup for several games. Over his first five appearances of the season, Sharpe has averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.4 minutes per game.
Oct 27, 2022
Comes close to double-double
Sharpe notched 15 points (5-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 119-98 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The rookie had a strong showing off the bench in this one and ended just two boards shy of a double-double, but aside from that, this was his best scoring output of the campaign while also logging a season-high 21 minutes. With Damian Lillard (calf) expected to miss Friday's game against the Rockets, don't be surprised if Sharpe makes his way into the starting lineup alongside Anfernee Simons in the backcourt, which would probably lead to an increased workload -- and the potential for better numbers -- as well.
Oct 26, 2022
Carves out rotational role
Sharpe has logged between 12 and 16 minutes in each of the Trail Blazers' first four games while averaging 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers.
ANALYSIS
Though Sharpe took a redshirt during his lone season at Kentucky and didn't play at the college level, the Trail Blazers recognized enough potential in the 6-foot-6 combo guard to invest a lottery pick into him in the draft in June. With Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons secure as Portland's two starters in the backcourt, Sharpe has opened his professional career as the team's first guard off the bench. He's done well with his limited opportunities to date, with his efficiency (62 percent true shooting) standing out the most thus far. The 19-year-old is unlikely to see a dramatic uptick in opportunities so long as Lillard and Simons are healthy, but the rookie has thus far looked like a promising asset in dynasty leagues.
Sep 26, 2022
Will be available for training camp
Sharpe (shoulder) is cleared for training camp, Danny Marang of BlazersEdge.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe suffered the injury during his Summer League debut, but he avoided surgery and has progressed through rehab quickly. The Kentucky commit didn't suit up for the Wildcats last year but was still selected seventh overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-4 wing projects to be one of the top guards off the bench in Portland during the 2022-23 campaign.

Aug 12, 2022
Still on track for training camp
Sharpe (shoulder) has returned to shooting drills and remains on track to be fully healthy by training camp, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sharpe suffered the injury during his Summer League debut, but he avoided surgery and appears to be progressing through rehab quickly. The Kentucky commit didn't suit up for the Wildcats last year but was still selected seventh overall in the 2022 Draft. The 6-foot-4 wing projects to be one of the top guards off the bench in Portland, but it's possible he works is way into the starting rotation over Josh Hart at some point.
Jul 22, 2022
Will not need surgery
Sharpe (shoulder) will not need surgery for the small labral tear in his left shoulder. He is expected to be ready for training camp.
ANALYSIS
The injury occurred during a Summer League game Thursday, July 7. Sharpe's debut was highly anticipated and was cut short. However, it appears we'll see him in preseason.
