His streaky nature has been in full display of late, reaching the 20-point mark twice in his last six games but also putting up less than 15 points thrice during that span.

Hardaway is one of the most streaky shooters in the league, and he can either wow you or frustrate you with his shooting percentages, as he's known around the league for his hot and cold streaks throughout the season. He's scored less than 12 points in two of his last four games, but he also surpassed the 20-point mark in the other two during that span, and his real value lies somewhere in between those two figures. His fantasy upside is tied almost exclusively to what he can do as a scorer, though, and he's averaging 17.0 points while shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from deep in December.

It's been quite a stretch for Hardaway, putting up top-20 value over the past week on the back of some incredible shooting. While this is clearly a sell-high opportunity, savvy managers will certainly be hesitant to bite given his track record. Simply put, managers are best to simply ride this out and move on, if and when he cools off.

Hardaway endured a rough start to the season and was shooting the ball poorly in the opening weeks of the campaign, but it seems as if he's leaving those struggles behind following back-to-back games with at least 20 points as a starter. A two-game sample size is not enough to believe he's back if we consider he started the season shooting just 31.9 percent from the field in his first 15 games, but it is undoubtedly a step in the right direction. Considering Hardaway is a streaky shooter, he should be rostered as long as he remains a starter or while he has his hand not.

Hardaway supplied 26 points (9-20 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 40 minutes during Thursday's 131-125 overtime loss to the Pistons.

Hardaway finished second on the team in scoring while connecting on a season-high six threes. Hardaway has scored 20 or more points along with five or more threes in two straight contests.

Hardaway supplied 22 points (8-16 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 116-113 win over the Warriors.

Hardaway scored at least 20 points for just the third time this season, giving the Mavericks a much-needed shot in the arm. Outside of Luka Doncic, the team has struggled to find a consistent scoring option. Reggie Bullock has been a disaster thus far and so perhaps Hardaway can build off this performance if he remains in the starting lineup. He is not necessarily a must-roster player but anyone looking for a points boost could certainly give him a look.

Hardaway is one of the most reliable pure scorers in the league and can put up points at will on any given game, but he struggles with efficiency at times and that was the case in this one. Either way, the veteran guard --who was returning from a six-game absence -- has now scored at least 15 points in each of his last four appearances and could be a decent streaming option going forward in most formats, though he won't offer much more than decent scoring numbers.

Hardway does remain a bit of a riskier option in fantasy formats due to his inconsistent start to the year.

Though he plays alongside active scorers like Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, Hardaway benefits from opponents being focused on guarding his teammates. He frequently receives adequate physical space to attempt many uncontested three-pointers. Hardaway occasionally establishes an excellent scoring rhythm, like he did Saturday.

Hardaway scored 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4FT), and had two rebounds and a steal during the Mavericks' 113-87 blowout loss to the Hawks on Thursday.

With Jalen Brunson and Dorian Finney-Smith's re-emergence, there may be some movement in the Dallas roster as the trade deadline approaches. The end result could see Hardaway back in the starting five in the near future, or he could find himself in a new city. He's certainly putting on a show for potential suitors.

While the production looks nice on the surface, his lack of peripheral stats continues to put a cap on his fantasy upside. While he is fine to have on a 12-team roster, he typically helps in points and threes on ly and so he isn't for everyone.

Wednesday was Hardaway's fifth performance of the season with at least four made triples.
