Jones compiled an efficient stat line. premiering as the team's new point guard. Things didn't work out with the Wizards, but he joined a team without a true point guard and is set for a fresh start with a contender. Jones has no shortage of options at his disposal, so he should start racking up assists at a good clip with the Suns. While his scoring might be lacking amid his prolific teammates, he's a great option if you're looking for a sleeper dime-dropper.

It took him a while to get things going, but Jones has been playing extremely well in recent weeks. He's averaging 14.8 points and 10.6 assists per game since the start of February.

The double-double was his sixth of the season, with four of them coming in the last 13 games. While his numbers haven't been eye-popping, it's worth noting Jones is averaging career-high marks in points (12.3), rebounds (2.8) and assists per game (6.4) in 2023-24.

It's been a big month for the veteran point guard. After a sluggish start to his Wizards' tenure, Jones has found a groove, averaging 15.3 points, 6.4 assists, 2.7 boards, 2.4 threes and 1.4 steals over the last 15 games while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor and 49.3 percent from beyond the arc. The 27-year-old is in the final year of his current contract, but he may be playing well enough to have the Wizards view him as something more than a tradable asset.

Jones has now scored in double digits in 10 of his 11 games coming off the bench. He's averaging 15.7 points on 58.7 percent shooting (and is reaching that same mark from three-point range), 6.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds over that span. He's seen his minutes increase since December and could be carving a larger role for himself in the Wizards' offense.

Even though Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole are the undisputed leaders on offense for a struggling Wizards team, Jones has done a good job as a reliable floor general. Despite his secondary role on offense, he is serviceable in most fantasy formats in what has been his first full year as a starter in The Association.

Jones led all Wizards in assists while hauling in a trio of rebounds and finishing as one of four players with a double-digit point total in a losing effort. Jones has tallied at least 10 points and five assists in 14 games this season, including in four of his last five outings.

Jones finished with 24 points (9-15 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 118-117 victory over Portland.

The 24 points and five made threes were both season highs for the point guard, who's beginning to find his footing with the Wizards. Since the calendar flipped to December, Jones is averaging 15.2 points, 6.4 assists, 3.4 boards, 2.2 threes and 1.8 steals over nine games while shooting a blistering 60.2 percent from the floor and 54.1 percent from beyond the arc. He'll cool down eventually, but if he can maintain that elevated assist rate, Jones will still have plenty of fantasy value.

Jones ended Monday's 143-131 loss to Sacramento with 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt), one rebound, nine assists and one steal over 28 minutes.

Jones finished with one assist away from recording what would've been his third straight double-double, and the point guard seems to be finally taking ownership of the offense of the team, allowing Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole to operate solely as scorers instead of primary ball-handlers. Jones has been playing very well in recent weeks, and if he can keep this up, then his fantasy stock should continue to move in the right direction.

Jones finally registered double-digit assists for a second consecutive game, following up his superb triple-double Friday night with another impressive total. Although Jones' scoring totals have jumped in his starting role with the Wizards this season, he's underperforming as a ball distributor, capping his fantasy potential.

Jones has now scored in double digits in nine of his last 11 games as he continues to establish his role on offense alongside the duo of Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma. Jones will look to build off his strong performance Friday against the Nets.

It's too early to drop Jones in most leagues, but it's not a secret that his overall production has been subpar most of the time.

Jones came up short again Wednesday, scoring just seven points in 21 minutes. He has now scored a total of just 23 points across his past three games, adding 12 assists and two steals. Despite starting, his playing time has been up and down all season, making his fantasy value very hard to trust. He remains a must-roster player, albeit one with limited upside.

The veteran's 22 points were a season-high mark, as were his his seven boards. Jones has started every game for Washington this season and is averaging a career-high 27.5 minutes per contest. With that in mind, his per-game averages of 11.3 points, 5.0 dimes, 2.8 rebounds, 1.1 triples and 0.9 steals have been somewhat disappointing, but Jones is also shooting a career-best 50.7 percent from the field while averaging just 0.7 turnovers, bringing additional value to his otherwise modest numbers.

The Wizards struggled badly on offense and looked overmatched against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, but Jones found a way to salvage his fantasy with his seven assists. He's going to hold a secondary role on offense behind Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, so the night in which he's going to carry the team in scoring will be very few, but he should rack up decent assist numbers on a regular basis. In fact, he has dished out at least six dimes in each of his first three games of the campaign.

Jones closed Wednesday's 143-120 loss to Indiana with 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes.

As expected, Jones got the start at point guard and should be the full-time starter at the position for the first time in his career. The veteran knocked down a pair of three-pointers and provided fantasy managers with a well-rounded line in a game that got out of hand midway through the second half. Washington has a pair of off days coming up before Saturday's home matchup with the Grizzlies.

Jones displayed an all-around outing in Tuesday's preseason opener, leading all starters in assists while finishing as one of eight Wizards players with a double-digit point total in a blowout victory. Jones is entering his first season with Washington in 2023-24 after spending the last four years with the Memphis Grizzlies. Jones should see a large amount of playing time in a starting role with the Wizards in his ninth NBA season.

Jones was traded to the Wizards on Wednesday as part of a three-team deal that lands Kristaps Porzingis in Boston and Marcus Smart in Memphis, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Celtics and Wizards were engaged in Porzingis talks throughout the day, and Memphis was eventually roped in as a third team to push the deal across the finish line. While the Grizzlies will get a rock-solid veteran guard in Smart, they'll send arguably the best backup point guard in the NBA to Washington, along with the No. 25 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and a 2024 first-rounder. Jones appeared in 80 games for the Grizzlies in 2022-23, making 22 starts and posting career highs in points (10.3), rebounds (2.5), assists (5.2) and made threes (1.5) per game. In Washington, Jones should have a chance to move into a full-time starting role, assuming the Wizards eventually part ways with Chris Paul. He is averaging career highs of 8.4 points, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals across 28 games this season.

Jones had only recorded two points over the past three games, but he was slightly more effective Friday despite his limited shot volume against the Pistons. However, the 24-year-old was unable to generate much output in other areas during the victory. Jones has continued to see relatively consistent playing time since returning to a bench role, but he's struggled to gather much momentum in recent contests.

Jones hadn't scored more than nine points this season, scoring just six points in his last two games as he stepped into a starting role with Ja Morant going down last week. The guard has facilitated the Memphis offense in his starts with teammates Dillon Brooks, Jonas Valanciunas and Kyle Anderson taking on the bulk of scoring duties.

He likely won't pop off quite to that extent, but Jones is worth a flyer pickup with Morant's injury severity unclear.

This level of production might be unsustainable - particulalry due to the serious jump in field-goal percentage, as he's shooting just 46.6 percent on the season. As long as Ja Morant and De'Anthony Melton are around, Jones might struiggle to be a consistent option, but he's worth a look while he's on this hot streak.
