He has been very efficient with the ball in his hands, possibly primarily due to open looks generated by his teammates, but Carter has shown that he can be an elite fantasy player and should be rostered in most formats.

He nearly secured his third double-double of the year, falling just one board shy. Carter has now scored in double figures in six straight matchups.

Carter hasn't been overly impressive in the scoring column so far this year, but he's come alive of late, posting 18 and now 16 points in back-to-back games.

Carter put up a season-high 18 points in the win, helping the Magic improve to 2-4 on the season. Apart from a dud in his previous outing against Detroit in which he fouled out in 15 minutes, Carter has been solid this campaign. Through six games, he's averaging 10.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.2 three-pointers in 27.9 minutes per contest.

Carter provided 10 points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-11 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Friday's 111-107 loss to the Hawks.

Carter put together another decent performance, falling two rebounds short of a double-double. While he certainly hasn't set the world on fire with his early-season production, the signs are encouraging. He is firmly penciled in as the starting center, and to this point, Goga Bitadze hasn't done much to press his case. The upside is somewhat limited but as long as his role is secure, Carter should be able to hold backend value in standard leagues.

Once Moritz Wagner (knee) returns, however, there is no guarantee that Carter will retain this kind of usage, but in the meantime, Carter provides value that fantasy managers should monitor moving forward.

Carter finished Monday's 96-87 loss to the Clippers with nine points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one assist over 31 minutes.

Carter stuffed the stat sheet on the defensive end Monday, tying his season highs in both blocks and steals during the loss. Additionally, the big man recorded multiple swipes and swats for the first time this season. However, the 25-year-old was inefficient from the field, and he has shot only 39.7 percent from the floor across his last eight outings.

Carter delivered a fairly efficient performance after shooting only 40.0 percent from the field in his last two appearances. Additionally, the 25-year-old swatted multiple shots for just the sixth time through 61 regular-season outings. The big man posted double-digit points for the fourth game out of his last six, during which he has averaged 10.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks across 28.2 minutes per contest.

Carter moved into the starting lineup after the All-Star break, and while this was only his third double-double over his last 15 appearances, it was also the second time he achieved this feat in the Magic's past three games. It's hard to trust Carter in most fantasy formats from a scoring perspective, especially since he holds a secondary role in Jamahl Mosley's scheme. Still, he's finding ways to remain productive, particularly in a position where the drop in talent is sizable after the elite options.

Carter closed with 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 14 rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Sunday's 108-103 win over Cleveland.

Carter was solid on both ends of the court and notched his ninth double-double of the season. Furthermore, the big man finished just one board shy of matching his season-high mark in that category. Carter is averaging 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.6 blocks per game in eight games since the beginning of March.

It's the first time in March that Carter has pulled down double-digit boards. The 25-year-old center moved back into the starting lineup coming out of the All-Star break, and while he remains inconsistent he has seen a slight uptick in his production. During that 10-game stretch, Carter is averaging 9.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 combined blocks and steals in 27.6 minutes a contest.

Carter delivered an efficient performance from the field Thursday, recording 17-plus points for just the third time on the season. The big man also sank two three-pointers, marking his fourth game with multiple triples through 51 regular-season appearances. Carter has started in each of the club's last eight outings since the All-Star break, during which he has averaged 10.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 26.9 minutes per contest.

Carter posted 14 points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-8 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one block over 32 minutes during Sunday's 104-102 loss to the Raptors.

It was Carter's first start since Jan. 27, and he took advantage by finishing Thursday's game as the leading rebounder and was one point shy from registering his eighth double-double of the regular season. Carter's fantasy value should be higher for as long as he remains in the starting five while Goga Bitadze serves in a reserve role.

It'll be Carter's first start since Jan. 25, forcing Goga Bitadze to head to the bench Thursday. Over 26 games with Orlando's first unit in 2024-25, Carter has averaged 8.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals in 27.4 minutes, so he should have some heightened fantasy value against Atlanta.

Carter amassed 19 points (7-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 26 minutes during Thursday's 112-90 loss to the Nuggets.

Carter led the Magic in points during a low-scoring affair. However, the big man struggled to fill the stat sheet, recording fewer than five rebounds for the first time since Jan. 12. Carter has come off the bench in each of his last five appearances, averaging 10.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.8 steals across 24.6 minutes per contest.

Carter ended with six points (3-4 FG), nine rebounds and seven assists in 28 minutes during Monday's 104-99 loss to the Warriors.

Carter matched his career-best mark of seven assists and played 28 minutes compared to 20 for starting center Goga Bitadze. This is a position battle to monitor, but it's worth noting that Bitadze has strung together a few duds in a row. Carter's stats haven't jumped off the page either, to be fair, as he's averaging 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over his last three games with a total of one steal and zero blocks.

Carter isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Carter found success with the first unit while Goga Bitadze recovered from a concussion, averaging 11.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals over seven starts, but the Duke product will return to a bench role now that Bitadze is a full go. Carter will certainly see chances to produce off the bench and should log between 20-to-25 minutes behind Bitadze.

Carter accumulated 14 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 125-119 double-overtime loss to the Heat.

Goga Bitadze returned to action Monday, but saw 22 minutes compared to 36 for Carter. The double overtime inflated this number, however, and Bitadze was likely on some restrictions. Despite this strong showing for Carter, the presence of Bitadze will make this a position battle worth monitoring closely.

Carter racked up 16 points (6-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 113-100 loss to Denver.

Carter did it all for Orlando in Sunday's contest, leading all Magic players in scoring and rebounds to go along with team-high-tying marks in assists and steals in a double-double performance. Carter tied a season high in rebounds, a mark he last tallied Oct. 23. Carter has posted a double-double on four occasions, his first with at least five assists to go along with double-figure scoring and rebound totals.

Carter ended Friday's 121-94 loss to the Celtics with 15 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-10 FT), nine rebounds and three assists over 32 minutes.

Carter held things down in the paint for Orlando in Friday's contest, leading all Magic players in rebounds while finishing one board shy of a double-double in a losing effort. Carter has recorded 15 or more points in four contests this season while hauling in nine or more boards in 10 outings.

Carter closed with 12 points (3-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 122-93 loss to Milwaukee.

It was the third double-double of the campaign for Carter, who moved back into the starting five Wednesday with Goga Bitadze (concussion) unavailable. The 2018 first-round pick was already seeing his production rise with Moritz Wagner (knee) done for the season, and Carter could get another boost in the short term while Bitadze is sidelined. Through eight games (two starts) in January, Carter is averaging 10.1 points, 6.3 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.8 threes in 24.8 minutes a contest.

Carter is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee.

While he's not known for being an elite three-point shooter, there's no question Carter has improved by leaps and bounds in that aspect -- and his ability to stretch the floor is certainly useful for the Magic. The former Bulls big man is averaging 13.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per game while shooting 46.3 percent from three-point range this season. All of those marks would be career-best numbers for him.

Although Carter fouled out in the contest, he succeeded as Orlando's most potent interior player in the victory. Carter's early success comes as a bit of a surprise. The former Chicago Bull faced some rotation concerns joining the Magic, but the frontcourt tandem with Mo Bamba has worked out quite well. His addition does dilute Bamba's fantasy value somewhat, especially when Carter has a fantastic night off the glass.

Carter ended Wednesday's loss to the Hornets with 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes.

Carter notched his second double-double of the season as well as his season high in points. With fellow center Mo Bamba also getting a double-double in this game, it is great to see that the two can coexist offensively and on the glass. The 22-year-old has now scored in double figures in four out of the five games this year, which is a great sign as he wasn't able to average double-figures in any of his first three seasons in the league. Carter has certainly exceeded expectations this season and is likely to continue seeing opportunities on the offensive end.

Carter posted a double-double in Friday's loss to the Knicks but fell just short of the mark as the Magic picked up their first win of the season Sunday. The 22-year-old has been remarkably consistent across the first three games of the year and has averaged 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per contest.

Carter had 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 123-97 loss to the Spurs.

Carter inked a four-year, $50 million extension with Orlando last week, but he only ended up playing 19 minutes during the season opener despite not facing any foul trouble. Carter appeared to be the odd man out for parts of the season opener but should have a larger role most games.

Carter's first three years in the league have been underwhelming, but there's reason to be optimistic with the No. 7 overall pick from 2018 in a new situation. He's had a nice preseason with averages of 12.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 25.6 minutes, and it seems like he and Mo Bamba will be sharing the court together somewhat frequently. In redraft leagues, Carter is a decent flier outside of the top 100, and he probably has more value in keeper formats.

The third-year center will look to keep the good times rolling Sunday at home against the Rockets.

His fantasy value has increased moderately since joining Orlando.

For the month of March, Carter hit double figures in the scoring column just twice across 11 games prior to being acquired by the Magic. Since then, he's done so five times in six contests. He's also shot greater than 50 percent in each outing throughout that span.

Carter amassed 16 points (8-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 35 minutes during Sunday's 119-109 loss to the Nuggets.

Carter remained in the starting lineup and was arguably the best player on the court for the Magic. The move from Chicago has done wonders for his game and at this stage, he appears to have grabbed this opportunity with both hands. As long as he is the go-to center for the Magic, Carter needs to be snapped up in all formats if he was dropped prior to being moved.

Carter is still developing after two years with the Bulls and needs added aggressiveness to grow into his role, but he looks like a safe fantasy option for the Magic moving forward.

Carter (shoulder) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's matchup with the Cavaliers.

The 20-year-old sustained a shoulder injury during Monday's blowout loss to Utah, but it appears to be a minor issue since he's absence from the injury report one day later. Carter is averaging 7.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.0 minutes off the bench over the past six games since Thaddeus Young took over the starting job at center.

Carter appeared to suffer a shoulder injury during Monday's 120-95 loss to the Jazz, Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com reports. He finished the night with six points (3-5 FG), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 18 minutes.

Carter made a trip to the locker room after he picked up the injury when he was fouled by Georges Niang, but the Bulls haven't elaborated on the severity of the issue. The third-year center thus looks questionable for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers for the time being, a development that further dims his downward-trending fantasy outlook. In his six games since moving to a bench role in favor Thaddeus Young, Carter has failed to crack 23 minutes in any contest while posting modest averages of 7.8 points (on 44.4 percent shooting from the field), 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.5 blocks.

Carter amassed just six points (2-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes during Friday's 131-127 loss to the Nuggets.

Carter has played fewer than 25 minutes in six straight games and is certainly doing nothing to help his cause. He turned in another underwhelming performance against the Nuggets as the Bulls blew another lead. He does still have a small amount of value but it doesn't appear he will be getting his starting spot back anytime soon and so moving on would not be the worst idea.

The Bulls made a fairly drastic lineup change, inserting Thaddeus Young at center and Tomas Satoransky at point guard, while Carter and Coby White moved to the bench. While Carter saw a slight reduction in minutes (19), he had one of his better games of late, notching his first double-double since Feb. 24. Carter also added an assist, a steal and a block.

Carter will come off the bench Sunday against the Raptors, Eric Woodyard of ESPN reports.

The Bulls will roll with Thaddeus Young at center, sending Carter to the bench following a string of lackluster performances. While Carter has rebounded well (8.2 RPG) in his last five games, he's averaged just 5.8 points on 32.3 percent shooting in that span. At this point, it's unclear if coach Billy Donovan plans to stick with this new alignment, or if it will simply be a short-term experiment.
