Signs with Cleveland
The Browns signed Marshall to the practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
This will be Marshall's third time signing with the Browns this season, as he was signed (and eventually released) April 28 and Aug. 27. The rookie undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State was likely a depth signing in response to the injury fellow rookie Dylan Sampson (calf) suffered in last Sunday's loss to the 49ers. If Sampson is unable to suit up for Sunday's game against the Titans, Marshall has a chance at elevation to the active roster.

Let go by Cleveland
Marshall was cut from the Browns' practice squad Monday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
The Appalachian State product signed with the Browns' practice squad in late August after failing to make the initial 53-man roster, but the team has now decided to move in another direction. Marshall has yet to appear in an NFL game after recording 784 scrimmage yards and seven touchdowns on 160 touches during his final collegiate season in 2024.

Staying in Browns organization
Marshall signed with Cleveland's practice squad Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Marshall's path to a promotion to the roster got more complicated when the Browns added running back Raheim Sanders via waivers Wednesday, giving them three available running backs in Sanders, Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson, as well as unsigned rookie Quinshon Judkins. Like Judkins, Sampson and Sanders, Marshall is a rookie, having signed with Cleveland in April out of Appalachian State.

Waived by Cleveland
The Browns waived Marshall on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Marshall signed with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State earlier this year and appeared in all three preseason contests, rushing 24 times for 88 yards and one touchdown. He added four catches for 20 yards.

Expected to join Browns
Marshall is slated to sign with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Marshall is expected to head to Cleveland after amassing a career-high 713 yards and seven touchdowns on 149 carries during his final season at Appalachian State. He is one of two former Mountaineers who have signed with the team as an undrafted free agent along with Eli Wilson, and they will both look to compete for depth roles.
