Produces little on 12 targets
St. Brown recorded two receptions on 12 targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Jared Goff completed a career-worst 37.8 percent of his pass attempts Sunday, and he uncharacteristically struggled to get the ball to St. Brown. Despite easily leading the team in targets, St. Brown logged his lowest catch and yardage total of the campaign. While it was a disappointing showing, St. Brown's role in the Detroit offense is unquestioned, and he should bounce back in Week 12 against the Giants.
Nov 9, 2025
Eighth TD of season
St. Brown recorded five receptions on eight targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown turned in his lowest reception total since Week 1 and his lowest target total since Week 4, but he still managed to turn in a serviceable performance. He was used primarily in the short areas of the field, logging long catches of 16 and 15 yards while also finding the end zone from nine yards away. St.Brown now has eight touchdowns on the campaign and has at least 70 receiving yards or a touchdown in seven of nine contests.
Nov 2, 2025
Busy but scoreless day in loss
St. Brown secured nine of 13 targets for 97 yards in the Lions' 27-24 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown tied Sam LaPorta for the team lead in receiving yards while setting the pace in both receptions and targets on the afternoon. The star receiver's productive performance was essentially par for the course, as St. Brown has at least seven catches in six of eight contests this season. St. Brown will naturally remain a centerpiece of Detroit's air attack when the Lions attempt to bounce back from Sunday's loss in a Week 10 road matchup against the Commanders.
Oct 20, 2025
Back to scoring ways Monday
St. Brown finished with six receptions on 10 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-9 win over Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown found his way back in to the end zone after being held scoreless in Detroit's last two contests. The superstar wideout continued dominating QB Jared Goff's target share, finishing the primetime win with seven more targets than any other Lions' receiver. St. Brown's mini scoring slump hasn't stopped him from posting a WR1 numbers (50-538-7) heading into his team's bye week. Fantasy managers will have to fill the Sun God's roster spot in Week 8 until Detroit returns to action against Minnesota on Nov. 2.
Oct 12, 2025
Limited to short catches
St. Brown recorded nine receptions on 10 targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown maintained his role as Jared Goff's favorite target, but it was otherwise a tough showing for him. His longest catch of the day went for only 12 yards, and he also uncharacteristically dropped a pass on a key fourth-down attempt midway through the second quarter, which shifted the momentum of the game. This marked the first time since Week 1 that St. Brown has failed to reach 70 receiving yards, and he should bounce back in Week 7 in a matchup of high-powered offenses against Tampa Bay.
Oct 9, 2025
Logs full practice Thursday
St. Brown (wrist) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's session due to a wrist injury, St. Brown was spotted on the practice field Thursday, and his activity level indicates that the issue isn't much of a concern. He'll thus turn his focus to a Chiefs defense Sunday that has allowed 7.5 YPT (21st in the NFL) and just four touchdown catches to wide receivers in five games this season.
Oct 9, 2025
Spotted at practice Thursday
St. Brown (wrist) returned to practice Thursday, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown didn't practice Wednesday due to a wrist injury, but he's back out there Thursday, through it remains to be seen if he's listed as a full participant or merely manages a limited session. In either case, St. Brown's health is trending in the right direction, so the league leader in touchdown receptions (six) will likely suit up Sunday night in Kansas City as he looks to add to that total.
Oct 8, 2025
DNP due to wrist injury Wednesday
St. Brown missed practice Wednesday due to a wrist injury.
ANALYSIS
Per Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News, St. Brown wasn't taking part during the media-access portion of Wednesday's session, and now the reason for his lack of work has become known. St. Brown will have two more chances to mix into drills this week ahead of Sunday's road showdown with the Chiefs. Through five games this season, he's reached 100 receiving yards two times while scoring six touchdowns.
Oct 5, 2025
Reaches 100 yards as receiver
St. Brown recorded eight receptions on nine targets for 100 yards in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown continued his excellent start to the season, leading the Lions in all receiving stats. He saw the majority of his volume in the first half, but his longest catch of the day was a 26-yard grab early in the fourth quarter. The only shortcoming was that St. Brown failed to find the end zone for the first time since Week 1, but he balanced that out by recording his second 100-yard receiving game of the campaign.
Sep 28, 2025
Two touchdowns in blowout win
St. Brown recorded seven receptions on seven targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was the only Detroit pass catcher to post a notable line in Sunday's blowout win, accounting for seven of Jared Goff's 16 completions. He helped set up the team's first touchdown of the day with a 25-yard catch before turning in a pair of his own scores from two and eight yards away. St. Brown now has six touchdowns across four games while recording at least 70 receiving yards in each of his last three contests.
Sep 23, 2025
Cashes in fourth TD on MNF
St. Brown hauled in seven of eight targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 38-30 victory over Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown carried over the momentum from his standout three-score game against the Bears last week into Monday's tilt, where he posted prototypical WR1 numbers on the road against the Ravens. The 25-year-old shook his assignment with a double move in the third quarter to hit pay dirt for the fourth time this season. The star wideout also chipped in an assist that will not show up in the box score when he pitched the ball to Jahmyr Gibbs on a fourth-down option play that resulted in a touchdown for his teammate. St. Brown will boast a pristine 20-237-4 receiving line heading into a Week 4 matchup against Cleveland on Sunday.
Sep 14, 2025
Shines in three-TD performance
St. Brown brought in nine of 11 targets for 115 yards and three touchdowns while adding two rushes for seven yards in the Lions' 52-21 win over the Bears on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown comfortably led the Lions in receptions and targets while edging Jameson Williams for the top spot in receiving yards as well. While his speedy teammate got that runner-up spot largely via a 64-yard chunk play, St. Brown chipped away at the Bears secondary throughout the afternoon with short and medium gains, including touchdown grabs of four, eight and four yards. The two-time All-Pro's breakout performance was a welcome departure from his modest 4-45-0 receiving line in Week 1 against Green Bay, and St. Brown's contributions figure to be critical again when the Lions tackle the unenviable task of a road trip to Baltimore for a Week 3 Monday night showdown with the Ravens on Sept. 22.
Sep 7, 2025
Quiet start to 2025
St. Brown recorded four catches on six targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The Lions' offense struggled to get going for most of the game, with both St. Brown and Jameson Williams putting up muted stats as a result. St. Brown managed only one catch that went for more than nine yards, though he still finished second on the team in receiving yards. Detroit will return home for a Week 2 matchup against the Bears, and the offense should be in line for better results.
Jul 21, 2025
Participating in training camp
St. Brown (knee) participated in Sunday's training camp practice, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Eric Woodyard of ESPN previously reported that St. Brown underwent an offseason knee procedure, "just to clean some stuff up," in the words of the wideout. At the time, Woodyard indicated that St. Brown was expected to be ready for training camp, and that is indeed the case, with no reports of the 25-year-old being limited at practice. St. Brown is thus set to reprise his high-volume role in Detroit's offense, after having racked up 115 catches (on 141 targets) for 1,263 yards and 12 TDs in 17 regular-season contests in 2024.
Jun 5, 2025
Recovering from clean-up procedure
St. Brown said Thursday that he hasn't been practicing at voluntary OTAs due to an offseason knee procedure undergone to "clean some stuff up," Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown stressed that his surgery wasn't major, but that he's being cautious in his recovery. Per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com, the start wideout expects to be ready for training camp. A minor offseason knee procedure shouldn't warrant any change to St. Brown's offseason ADP in early fantasy drafts, wherein he remains an essential lock to come off the board in the first round. More notable, though, is the attrition on offense Detroit has suffered throughout the offseason, especially with former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson having assumed Chicago's head coach position, and the surprising retirement of top-end center Frank Ragnow on Monday. Still, St. Brown has been one of the league's most consistent receivers since joining the Lions as a fourth-round pick in 2021, with three consecutive seasons over the 1,000-yard mark under his belt, plus back-to-back years scoring double-digit touchdowns. Even if Detroit takes a step back after scoring a league-leading 33.2 points per game in the 2024 regular season, St
Jan 19, 2025
Totals 137 yards in loss
St. Brown recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 137 yards in Saturday's 45-31 divisional-round loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown paced the Lions' pass catchers in receptions and yards, highlighted by three catches of at least 20 yards. The performance marked his fifth time topping 100 yards across 18 total games on the season, a significant decrease from his 10 such performances in 2023. Nevertheless, St. Brown enjoyed strong production and will almost certainly be the top option among Detroit's pass catchers again in 2025.
Jan 5, 2025
Leading receiver in pivotal win
St. Brown caught six of seven targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 31-9 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led the Lions in receiving yards, but Jahmyr Gibbs stole the show with three rushing touchdowns and a receiving score. The star wide receiver finishes the regular season with 115 catches for 1,263 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns on 141 targets. St. Brown and the Lions secured the top seed and a bye into the NFC divisional round with Sunday's win.
Dec 31, 2024
Team-high catch, target totals
St. Brown brought in eight of 10 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 40-34 win over the 49ers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led the Lions in receptions and targets on the night while also recording a receiving touchdown for the third straight game on a four-yard grab late in the third quarter. However, St. Brown also played a key role in another Lions score, feeding the ball to Jameson Williams on an early second-quarter hook and ladder the latter turned into a 42-yard touchdown. St. Brown has at least five receptions in nine consecutive contests heading into the Week 18 home clash against the Vikings that will determine the winner of the NFC North and NFC's No. 1 seed.
Dec 22, 2024
Sets new career high with 11th TD
St. Brown caught six of eight targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown accounted for only 44 of Jared Goff's 254 first-half passing yards but that total included an eight-yard touchdown catch in the final minute of the first half. The star wide receiver ultimately led the Lions in both targets and catches, though Jameson Williams ran away with the team lead in receiving yards (143). St. Brown set a new career high with his 11th receiving touchdown of the season, and he'll look to add to that total in Week 17 against the 49ers.
Dec 15, 2024
Career-best 193 yards
St. Brown recorded 14 receptions on 18 targets for 193 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 48-42 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
The Lions were forced into a pass-heavy offense as they chased the Bills all game, and the result was a career-best performance for St. Brown. The highlight came on a 66-yard touchdown catch and run, during which Goff split the Buffalo defense down the middle and out-raced several defenders to the end zone. He also chipped in long gains of 24, 31 and 16 yards to top 100 yards for the fourth time this season and for the first time since Week 11.
Dec 6, 2024
Held in check by Packers
St. Brown brought in five of six targets for 43 yards and rushed once for 10 yards in the Lions' 34-31 win over the Packers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
As had been the case in four of his previous five meetings with the Packers, St. Brown was held to under 57 receiving yards while furnishing his fourth-lowest yardage total of the campaign. However, St. Brown saved his most valuable contribution for his final catch, as he brought in a 16-yard dart from Jared Goff on over the middle on second-and-17 with 1:42 remaining. Despite the modest numbers Thursday, St. Brown should be heavily involved in a Week 15 home matchup against the Bills on Sunday, Dec. 15 that could well serve as a Super Bowl preview.
Nov 28, 2024
Makes five catches in Week 13
St. Brown (knee) caught five of seven targets for 73 yards in Thursday's 23-20 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was listed as questionable due to a knee injury coming in, but he was his usual effective self, leading the Lions in receiving yards while tying Jameson Williams for the team leads in targets and catches. St. Brown has gone back-to-back games without getting into the end zone following an eight-game touchdown streak. That stretch included a Week 9 performance against the Packers in which St. Brown caught all seven of his targets for 56 yards and a score. Detroit will face Green Bay again on Thursday Night Football in Week 14.
Nov 28, 2024
Suiting up on Thanksgiving
St. Brown (knee) is listed as active Thursday against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Working on a short week, the Lions held three straight walkthroughs ahead of Thursday's game, and a knee injury contained St. Brown to no activity Monday, limited participation Tuesday and a full session Wednesday. On Tuesday, the wideout relayed to Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com that he planned to be available for Week 13 action, which now has been confirmed. St. Brown thus will remain the featured option in Detroit's passing game versus a Chicago defense that has allowed the fourth-most YPT (8.99) to opposing wide receivers this season.
Nov 27, 2024
Listed as questionable, full practice
St. Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
The Lions list both St. Brown and RB David Montgomery (shoulder) as full participants Wednesday, following DNPs on Monday and limited status Tuesday. They held walkthroughs rather than more physical practices on a short week, but it nonetheless seems St. Brown is on the right track after saying Tuesday that he'd be ready to play on Thanksgiving. Detroit's inactives will be released around 11:00 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before the 12:30 ET kickoff.
Nov 26, 2024
Limited, but plans to play Thursday
St. Brown (knee) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
ANALYSIS
Following Sunday's 24-6 win over the Colts, the Lions have held a pair of walk-through sessions to begin Week 13 prep. After being listed as a non-participant Monday, St. Brown took a step forward in his estimated activity Tuesday, which bodes well for his chances of suiting up Thursday against the Bears. For his part, St. Brown told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com that he's planning on being ready to go for the Thanksgiving Day game, but it won't be known whether he carries a designation into that contest until after Wednesday's practice report is released.
Nov 25, 2024
DNP with knee injury Monday
St. Brown (knee) was listed as a non-participant at Monday's walkthrough practice, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a new injury for the Lions' star wideout, as he previously dealt with a quad issue back in September. St. Brown played his normal complement of snaps (94 percent) in Sunday's win over the Colts, so it's unclear when he came down with the injury or if it's anything to be concerned about. The Lions have a Thanksgiving Day date with the Bears on Thursday. Along with St. Brown, Kalif Raymond (foot) also was listed as DNP on Monday. If neither player is unable to go Thursday, Jameson Williams, Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson would be in line for the bulk of the wide receiver snaps.
Nov 24, 2024
Modest production in easy win
St. Brown corralled six of seven targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 24-6 win over Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led his team in receptions while tying Jameson Williams for the lead in targets Sunday. The former was unable to push his impressive scoring streak past eight weeks, but he still produced a decent fantasy totals for managers in PPR formats. St. Brown has accrued a 71-747-9 receiving line through 11 contests, making him one of the premier wideouts in the NFL ahead of a Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Bears.
Nov 17, 2024
Massive output in lopsided win
St. Brown secured all 11 targets for 161 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for minus-4 yards in the Lions' 52-6 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led the Lions in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, and the first two totals tied and set a season high, respectively. The elite wideout also extended a touchdown-reception streak to eight games with scoring grabs of 27 and nine yards, his first multi-TD-effort of the campaign. St. Brown will look to build on his third 100-yard tally of 2024 when he faces a vulnerable Colts defense on the road in Week 12.
Nov 11, 2024
Extends TD streak to seven games
St. Brown corralled six of eight targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-23 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown extended his impressive touchdown streak to seven games by taking a short reception for a score in the fourth quarter of Sunday's narrow victory. The star wideout has been as advertised through nine starts this season, producing a gaudy 54-524-7 stat line over that span. St. Brown's touchdown streak may produce the most excitement for next Sunday's tilt against Jacksonville in a home matchup for a title contender against a rebuilding squad.
Nov 3, 2024
Keeps TD streak alive
St. Brown recorded seven receptions on seven targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The Lions had limited pass volume due to rainy conditions and positive game script, leaving St. Brown as the only player to see more than three targets. He primarily worked in short areas of the field, though he did manage a long 26-yard reception late in the second quarter. That came after St. Brown extended his touchdown streak to six games by capping the team's first drive with a three-yard catch in the end zone on fourth down.
Oct 27, 2024
Touchdown in five straight
St. Brown recorded two receptions on two targets for seven yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Jared Goff took to the air only 15 times -- often with a short field -- in Detroit's blowout win, leaving Sam LaPorta as the only regular starter to earn more than two targets. Despite the quiet day, St. Brown did manage to score in his fifth straight game on a one-yard touchdown catch early in the second quarter. Expect St. Brown to see a more typical allotment of targets in Week 9 against Green Bay.
Oct 20, 2024
Perfect catch rate in win
St. Brown secured all eight targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 31-29 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led the Lions in receptions, receiving yards and targets with totals that also served as the second highest for him this season. The star wideout's 35-yard scoring grab in the second quarter also extended his streak of games with a touchdown to four, while the 100-yard performance marked his second time eclipsing the century mark this season. St. Brown next takes aim at a Titans defense that just surrendered a 100-yard performance to Bills rookie Keon Coleman when Detroit hosts Tennessee for a Week 8 interconference matchup.
Oct 13, 2024
Catches TD in blowout win
St. Brown recorded four catches on four targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 47-9 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown saw his fewest targets of the season, primarily due to game script as the Lions took to the air only nine times in the final two quarters. He still managed to save his day early in the fourth quarter with a four-yard touchdown reception, marking his third straight game with a trip to the end zone. Overall, St. Brown has now topped 100 yards or found the end zone in four of five matchups on the campaign.
Oct 1, 2024
Records TDs through multiple means
St. Brown secured all six targets for 45 yards and a touchdown and also threw a seven-yard touchdown on his only pass attempt in the Lions' 42-29 win over the Seahawks on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown recorded a team-high number of catches and his second receiving touchdown of the campaign on an eight-yard grab in the fourth quarter. However, his most eye-catching moment of the night came in the unusual role of quarterback, as he threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Jared Goff on the Lions' version of the Philly Special just past midway point of the third quarter. St. Brown now has at least six receptions in three straight games, and when he returns to action against the Cowboys on the road on Sunday, Oct. 13 following a Week 5 bye, he'll be striving to reverse a two-game trend of dwindling receiving yardage totals.
Sep 22, 2024
Finds paydirt in Week 3 win
St. Brown caught seven of eight targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown caught a five-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then played a key role in Detroit's next touchdown in the final minute of the first half, as St. Brown made a one-yard catch and lateraled to Jahmyr Gibbs, who ran the remaining 20 yards into the end zone. After catching just three of six targets for 13 yards in Week 1, St. Brown has bounced back with 18 catches on 26 targets for 192 yards and a touchdown in two subsequent games, giving the star receiver plenty of momentum heading into a Week 4 home game against the Seahawks on MNF.
Sep 18, 2024
Logs full practice Wednesday
St. Brown (quadriceps) practiced fully Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown departed this past Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers in the waning moments due to a leg contusion and cramping. Coach Dan Campbell told Richard Silva of The Detroit News on Monday that St. Brown "will be good," and the wide receiver's activity level to begin Week 3 prep supports that notion. St. Brown thus in on track to play Sunday at Arizona.
Sep 16, 2024
Injury severity downplayed
Coach Dan Campbell said Monday that St. Brown (lower leg) "will be good" and has a soft-tissue injury, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was forced out of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers with roughly 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and missed the Lions' final five plays, but it looks like the team expects him to be available Week 3 against the Cardinals. After a quiet Week 1, St. Brown bounced back with 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets versus Tampa Bay. More information on his status will arrive Wednesday at the latest, when Detroit's first official injury report of Week 3 is released.
Sep 16, 2024
Dealing with contusion
Initial indications are that St. Brown dealt with a contusion and cramping during Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown briefly the contest due to a possible lower-body issue, but it appears as though the wideout escaped any serious harm during Week 2 action. That said, St. Brown's status nonetheless merits monitoring ahead of this coming Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Sep 15, 2024
Possible lower-body injury
St. Brown, who briefly left Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, appears to be dealing with a lower-body issue, Kyle Meinke of mlive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Meinke, St. Brown was seen limping out of the locker room after Sunday's contest, but for now the wideout's unspecified injury isn't believed to be serious. With that in mind, coach Dan Campbell said "he's all right. I don't think it's anything long-term, so that's good news." In any case, this report makes St. Brown's status worth monitoring ahead of next weekend's game against the Cardinals.
Sep 15, 2024
Bounces back with 19 Week 2 targets
St. Brown had 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
The Lions made a concerted effort to get St. Brown involved after his disappointing Week 1 performance, as the star receiver racked up 11 first-half targets, which he turned into six catches for 58 yards. St. Brown posted similar second-half production and finished with eight more targets than second-place Jameson Williams. There are plenty of mouths to feed in a Detroit offense that also features running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, as well as tight end Sam LaPorta, but St. Brown should maintain a prominent role after tying for second in the NFL with 119 catches and finishing third with 1,515 receiving yards during the 2023 regular season. The Lions will try to bounce back against the Cardinals in Week 3.
Sep 9, 2024
Quiet in Week 1 win
St. Brown had just three catches for 13 yards on six targets in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was surprisingly quiet in the season opener while Jameson Williams racked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown and Detroit's ground game took over late to get the team in the win column. You have to go back all the way to a four-yard performance against the Cowboys in Week 7 of 2022 to find the last time St. Brown had such few yards in a game, but it's much too early to press the panic button. The star receiver had at least 90 receiving yards in 11 of 16 regular-season appearances last year and will likely bounce back in Week 2 against the Buccaneers.
Aug 24, 2024
No preseason action
St. Brown did not play in Saturday's 24-17 preseason win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The Lions didn't play the majority of their starters this preseason and St. Brown was among them. He'll now turn his focus to a Week 1 matchup against the Rams and should remain the top pass-catching option in the offense after topping 145 targets in each of the last two seasons.
Aug 17, 2024
Not in line to play
St. Brown isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game at Kansas City, PJ Green of Fox 4 KC reports.
ANALYSIS
Lions coach Dan Campbell didn't exactly commit to anything this week but did hint at holding out a lot of starters. St. Brown, of course, is one of the players that might sit even if other starters played, coming off a 2023 regular season with a 119-1,515-10 receiving line.
Aug 8, 2024
Not dressed Thursday
St. Brown isn't suited up ahead of Thursday's preseason contest at the Giants, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.
ANALYSIS
The same can be said for fellow wide receivers Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond, meaning Donovan Peoples-Jones, Tre'Quan Smith and Tom Kennedy likely will be the first wide receivers to get on the field for the Lions in their exhibition opener. St. Brown himself signed a lucrative four-year extension back in the spring on the heels of back-to-back 100-catch campaigns and career highs in receiving yards (1,515) and touchdowns (10) in 2023.
Apr 24, 2024
Signing massive extension
St. Brown and the Lions reached agreement Tuesday on a four-year extension, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The initial report has it as a $120 million deal, including $77 million guaranteed. If those numbers hold up when more details come out, St. Brown will tie Tyreek Hill's WR record for average annual value ($30 million) and have the stand-alone record for money guaranteed. Of course, he probably won't hold those records for long, as the list of star WRs nearing the end of their rookie contracts includes Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase. In any case, St. Brown has improved his receiving volume and fantasy production with each passing season in the NFL, and he should have another big year in 2024 while catching passes from QB Jared Goff in an offense that will be coordinated by Ben Johnson for at least one more season.
Mar 26, 2024
Talking extension
St. Brown is discussing an extension with the Lions, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2021 fourth-round pick is entering the final season of his rookie contract, after catching 315 passes for 3,588 yards and 21 touchdowns through his first three year. It's likely only a matter of time before St. Brown becomes one of the highest-paid non-QBs in the league, though he may be hesitant to sign before seeing what other top WRs from his draft class and the year before end up getting (e.g. Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase). In any case, St. Brown will be back as the lead target for Jared Goff in a talented Detroit offense that looks set to return either nine or 10 starters from last season plus a handful of key backups.
Jan 28, 2024
Totals 89 yards in playoff loss
St. Brown recorded seven receptions on 11 targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the 49ers. He added one rush for two yards.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown unsurprisingly had a key role in the Detroit offense, compiling double-digit targets for the fourth time in his last six games. He failed to top 100 yards or reach the end zone for the first time in that span, though he still managed long receptions of 23 and 17 yards -- both of which set up scores -- to make his mark on the contest. St. Brown has improved in each of his three campaigns in the league, and he closed the 2023 regular season with 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. He'll be entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2024 and could be headed for a significant contract extension with the Lions this offseason.

Hauls in winning touchdown Sunday
St. Brown caught eight of 14 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-23 divisional-round win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
While Sam LaPorta led the Lions in catches, St. Brown paced the team in receiving yards and targets and was on the other end of Detroit's final score of the game, a nine-yard TD toss from Jared Goff with a little over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. St. Brown's yardage total was actually his lowest since Week 14, but the third-year wideout has gotten into the end zone in five of six games since, and he should be Goff's top downfield option again next weekend against the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
Jan 15, 2024
Hits century mark in playoff debut
St. Brown hauled in seven of nine targets for 110 yards in Sunday's 24-23 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The moment wasn't too big for Amon-Ra in his playoff debut after he led the Lions in every receiving category while notching the first 100-yard game of his postseason career. St. Brown didn't get involved on any of Detroit's three touchdown drives to open Sunday's victory, but he played a key role between the goal lines on each of those 75-yard scoring drives. St. Brown will look to record the first touchdown reception of his career when the Lions host the NFC divisional game next Sunday.
Jan 7, 2024
Finishes regular season strong
St. Brown brought in seven of 10 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown found himself in the familiar position of leading the Lions across the board in receiving categories, essentially playing a normal amount of snaps in a game Detroit needed to position itself for a potential ascension to the No. 2 seed. The third-year wideout's yardage total was his second-highest tally of the season, and he heads into the postseason riding the momentum of a 119-1,515-10 line across 16 regular-season contests, including three 100-yard efforts in the last four games.
Dec 30, 2023
Solid production in loss
St. Brown secured six of eight targets for 90 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 11 yards in the Lions' 20-19 loss to the Cowboys on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown led the Lions in receiving yards and checked in second to Sam LaPorta in both receptions and targets. The third-year pro found the end zone from 11 yards out with 23 seconds remaining to put the Lions within a point at the time. St. Brown now has a career-high nine touchdowns on the campaign and crossed the 1,300-yard threshold as well with Saturday's production, which marked his third straight game with at least 90 receiving yards and a score. St. Brown and the Lions wrap up the regular season at home against the Vikings on Sunday, Jan. 7.
Dec 24, 2023
Picks apart Vikings secondary
St. Brown secured 12 of 14 targets for 106 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-24 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Minnesota had no answer for St. Brown with the division title on the line. Continuing to pile on the stats after already setting career highs in receiving yards (1,175) and touchdowns (seven) last week against Denver, St. Brown had his way with a burnable Vikings secondary over the middle of the field while also finding success working the sidelines and on a screen. With few receivers league-wide handling bigger roles on offense, St. Brown should again stay busy when Detroit travels to Dallas in Week 17.
Dec 17, 2023
Returns to form
St. Brown recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 42-17 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was overshadowed by the performances of Sam LaPorta and Jahmyr Gibbs, but he nevertheless turned in a needed bounceback performance. He entered the game having failed to top 100 receiving yards in four consecutive games, though he ended that stretch with three catches of over 20 yards. St. Brown also chipped in a touchdown on a 15-yard reception just before halftime, his seventh of the season and fourth in his last six contests.
Dec 10, 2023
Held to 21 yards
St. Brown recorded three receptions on nine targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown saw a fairly typical number of targets, but he posted a season-low yardage total. He got off to a fairly normal start to the game by recording all three of his receptions within Detroit's first three offensive possessions. However, he was shut out from there as the Lions' entire offense faltered in the final two quarters. St. Brown has been one of the most consistent receivers this season, but he has only 70 total receiving yards combined across the last two games.
Dec 3, 2023
Finds end zone on quiet afternoon
St. Brown brought in two of six targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 33-28 win over the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The star receiver took a rare back seat to rookie Sam LaPorta on the afternoon, with the latter pacing the Lions' air attack with a career-best 9-140-1 line. St. Brown was able to salvage his otherwise quiet day with a 25-yard touchdown grab over the middle just before the midway point of the fourth quarter, but he finished with season lows in receptions, receiving yards and targets. St. Brown, who'd posted no fewer than six receptions or 77 yards in any game since Week 4 prior to Sunday, will look to bet back on track at the expense of the Bears on the road in Week 14.
Nov 23, 2023
Another productive outing
St. Brown caught nine of 11 targets for 95 yards during Thursday's 29-22 loss to Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Only Keenan Allen has averaged more targets per game than St. Brown has this season, and the USC product yet again took advantage of his voluminous role with a fifth eight-catch game in his past six outings. While St. Brown admittedly needed garbage time to approach the century mark in receiving yards, it can be argued that St. Brown was deprived of a number of other opportunities to rack up stats before that point thanks to Detroit's five failed fourth-down conversion attempts and three drive-killing fumbles. Look for St. Brown to stay busy when the Detroit offense looks to get back on track in a Week 13 road trip to New Orleans.
Nov 19, 2023
Finds end zone in Week 11 win
St. Brown caught eight of 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown's streak of 100-yard receiving performances ended at four games, but he got into the end zone for the fifth time this season on a seven-yard touchdown catch 11 seconds before halftime. The star receiver has caught 73 of 98 targets for 898 yards heading into Thursday's Thanksgiving visit from the Packers. One of St. Brown's five touchdowns came against Green Bay in Week 4, but his 56 yards in that game were a season low.
Nov 12, 2023
Huge numbers in Week 10 win
St. Brown caught eight of nine targets for 156 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-38 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
He also chipped in nine rushing yards on two carries. St. Brown has reeled off four straight 100-yard performances and reached the century mark in six of eight games this season, and his 20-yard TD grab from Jared Goff in the third quarter was his fourth score of 2023. St. Brown will look to continue his streak in Week 11 against the Bears.
Oct 30, 2023
Eclipses century mark in win
St. Brown (illness) secured six of nine targets for 108 yards in the Lions' 26-14 win over the Raiders on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
After taking a questionable designation into Monday after coming down with an illness Sunday, St. Brown suited up and looked no worse for wear. The gifted wideout led the Lions in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets, generating his third straight 100-yard effort in the process. While his catch and target totals were actually well behind the massive tallies of the last pair contests -- a stretch during which he generated 25 grabs on 34 targets -- St. Brown's fantasy night was still a clear success. The third-year star will tangle with another AFC West opponent in the Chargers in Week 10 following a Week 9 bye.
Oct 30, 2023
Suiting up Monday
St. Brown (illness) is active for Monday's game versus the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown came down with an illness Sunday that forced the Lions to add him to their Week 8 injury report as questionable to play Monday, but it won't impact his availability after all. He'll thus take on his usual high-volume role in Detroit's passing attack against a Las Vegas defense that has conceded the ninth-highest catch rate (69 percent) to opposing wide receivers this season.
Oct 30, 2023
On track to play Monday
St. Brown (illness), who remains listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Raiders, plans to play, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lions didn't include St. Brown on their Week 8 injury report until he was added Sunday after apparently falling ill at some point over the weekend. Though it's unclear how close to 100 percent St. Brown is as Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff approaches, he's apparently feeling well enough to give it a go. Given that the Lions chose to elevate a running back (Devine Ozigbo) and an offensive lineman (Michael Niese) from the practice squad rather than a receiver ahead of Monday's game, the team is seemingly optimistic St. Brown will be able to handle his usual high-volume role in the passing attack. In the Lions' last two games alone, St. Brown has drawn a whopping 34 targets and has turned in a 25-226-1 receiving line.
Oct 29, 2023
Comes down with illness
The Lions added St. Brown to their Week 8 injury report Sunday due to an illness and are listing him as questionable for Monday's contest versus the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Since missing Week 5 against the Panthers due to an abdominal injury, St. Brown has been heavily utilized in the passing game, as he's gathered in 25 of 34 targets for 226 yards and one touchdown over the last two games. With an illness now in tow, the status of Detroit's top wide receiver for Week 8 won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. If St. Brown ultimately sits out, fellow WRs Josh Reynolds, Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond figure to handle bigger workloads.
Oct 22, 2023
Targeted 19 times
St. Brown recorded 13 receptions on 19 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
The Lions offense was stalled for the entire game -- except for one late possession in garbage time -- both that didn't stop St. Brown from recording his fourth 100-yard performance of the season. He did so almost entirely based on volume, as he averaged only 5.4 yards per target with his longest gain of the day going for 15 yards. While the performance wasn't one of his best, it does illustrate the safety of his weekly stat lines thanks to his integral role in the Detroit offense.
Oct 15, 2023
Returns with 124 yards
St. Brown recorded 12 receptions on 15 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown returned from a one-game absence caused by an abdominal injury, though he showed no signs of the issue. He tallied season-high marks in targets, receptions and yards, and his performance was highlighted by lengthy receptions of 27 and 23 yards -- the former of which went for a touchdown. While St. Brown has been limited to either seven or eight targets in three of his five games this season, he's still managed to top 100 receiving yards on three occasions.
Oct 12, 2023
Logs full practice Thursday
St. Brown (abdomen) practiced in full Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After giving St. Brown a week off, including the Lions' Week 5 win against the Panthers, to tend to an abdominal injury, St. Brown followed up Wednesday's capped session with all activity one day later. He even told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com on Thursday, "I feel good. I feel ready, so we'll see," regarding his availability for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. The Lions still may list St. Brown with a designation for Week 6 action upon the release of Friday's practice report, but all signs seem to point toward the wide receiver returning to action this weekend.
Oct 11, 2023
Officially limited Wednesday
St. Brown (abdomen) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown didn't log any on-field work during Week 5 prep before the Lions deemed him inactive this past Sunday against the Panthers. Coach Dan Campbell has expressed optimism to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News and Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site this week that St. Brown will be able to suit up Sunday at Tampa Bay. Ultimately, though, St. Brown likely will need to get through the week unscathed by Friday, at which point the team could provide some clarity on his upcoming availability.
Oct 11, 2023
Will practice Wednesday
Coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that St. Brown (abdomen) will be on the practice field, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown will practice in at least a limited fashion after remaining off the field last week. He appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's road matchup against the Buccaneers, as Campbell stated in his Monday press conference. Wednesday's official injury report will reveal whether St. Brown managed to practice in full or is still limited.
Oct 10, 2023
Optimism for Week 6 return
Coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday he feels "pretty good about the possibility of [St. Brown] playing this week" despite his abdomen injury, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown couldn't play Week 5 due to his abdomen injury, but it appears he's trending in the right direction to retake the field Sunday at Tampa. Campbell called the star wideout 'probable,' but fantasy managers will need to monitor St. Brown's participation in practices this week, with Detroit's first official injury report slated to drop Wednesday. St. Brown didn't practice in any capacity last week, so a return to even limited activity would be a positive trend.
Oct 8, 2023
Officially inactive Sunday
St. Brown (abdomen) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
After a week in which he was sidelined at practice due to an abdominal injury, St. Brown will miss his first game since Week 4 of last year and just the second game of his two-plus campaigns in the NFL. With St. Brown out, the Lions' receiving corps will be paced by WR Josh Reynolds (groin) and TE Sam LaPorta, though Jameson Wiliams will be making his season debut alongside those two and the likes of fellow WRs Kalif Raymond and Marvin Jones.
Oct 6, 2023
Doubtful for Week 5
St. Brown (abdomen) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Considering he didn't practice at all this week prior to his listing on the Lions' final Week 5 injury report, St. Brown likely has less than 50/50 odds to be available Sunday. Coach Dan Campbell told Adam Schefter of ESPN earlier Friday that the Lions will have a better gauge on St. Brown's status in the next 24 hours, so there's a chance more clarity will arrive regarding the wide receiver at some point Saturday. Both Josh Reynolds (groin) and Jameson Williams (non-injury) are questionable heading into the weekend, so the statuses of the team's top three WRs are up in the air. At the moment, Kalif Raymond, Marvin Jones and Antoine Green are the only Detroit players at the position that are healthy and on the active roster.
Oct 6, 2023
Won't practice Friday
Coach Dan Campbell noted that St. Brown (abdomen) is not in line to practice Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The report adds that the Lions expect to know more about St. Brown's status for Sunday's game against the Panthers in the next 24 hours. With another absence on tap Friday, St. Brown will have missed the entire practice week, with added context regarding his Week 5 status set to arrive when Detroit's final injury report is posted.
Oct 5, 2023
Still aiming to play Week 5
St. Brown (abdomen) said Thursday that his goal remains to play this Sunday against the Panthers, despite having sat out the Lions' first two Week 5 practices, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though he's gone down as a non-participant on both of the Lions' two practice reports for Week 5, St. Brown hasn't been completely inactive during those sessions. As Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com notes, St. Brown was spotted working with trainers off to the side Thursday, just as the receiver was able to do Wednesday. Even so, the Lions will still presumably want to see St. Brown log at least some reps with the team before clearing him to play, so his activity (or lack thereof) at Friday's session will be more telling with regards to his chances of suiting up Sunday. If St. Brown ends up sitting out this weekend, quarterback Jared Goff could become more reliant on tight end Sam LaPorta, running back Jahmyr Gibbs and receivers Josh Reynolds (groin) and Jameson Williams, the last of whom is set to make his 2023 debut Sunday after completing a four-game suspension to begin the season.
Oct 5, 2023
Idle for another practice
St. Brown (abdomen) will be a non-participant in Thursday's practice, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com, St. Brown will be working out and running off to the side under the supervision of trainers, just as he did for the Lions' first official Week 5 practice session Wednesday as well as an unofficial session Tuesday. With no involvement in team reps thus far in Week 5, St. Brown may need to take part in drills in some capacity Friday to have a realistic shot at playing Sunday versus the Panthers. If St. Brown is sidelined this weekend, his absence would be cushioned to some extent by the return of 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams, who is eligible to make his season debut after serving a four-game suspension to begin the campaign.
Oct 4, 2023
Tending to abdominal injury
St. Brown was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to an abdominal injury.
ANALYSIS
Coach Dan Campbell was non-committal about St. Brown's availability for Week 5 earlier Wednesday due to a health concern, which now has been clarified. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, St. Brown was spotted at Tuesday's unofficial practice running at full speed on the side, which generally would be a decent sign that he'll be able to play through the pain. Still, St. Brown wouldn't have taken part Wednesday if the Lions had held a session, so his status will be one to watch as the week goes on to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Oct 4, 2023
Iffy for Sunday
Lions head coach Dan Campbell was non-committal about St. Brown's availability for Sunday's game against the Panthers while the receiver tends to an unspecified injury, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell offered no insight into the injury, which St. Brown presumably sustained in the Lions' 34-20 win over the Packers last Thursday. St. Brown took on a relatively normal snap share (88 percent) in that game and finished with five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, so no sign of injury was evident in his playing time or production. The Lions will hold their first official Week 5 practice Wednesday and release their injury report after the session, at which time the nature of St. Brown's injury will be known. Birkett notes that the Lions held an informal practice Tuesday, and while St. Brown didn't take part in team drills, he was spotted running at full speed off to the side under the supervision of trainers.
Sep 29, 2023
Finds end zone in Week 4 win
St. Brown secured five of seven targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 34-20 win over the Packers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The star wideout took a back seat to running back David Montgomery, who spearheaded Detroit's victory with a 121-yard, three-touchdown effort on the ground. However, St. Brown found a way to make an impact via his 24-yard scoring grab in the first quarter. The third-year star's reception and receiving yardage totals were season lows, yet he remains an elite option in all formats heading into a Week 5 home matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Sep 24, 2023
Tops century mark
St. Brown caught nine of 12 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Falcons. He also rushed once for four yards.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown overcame a toe injury to suit up and performed like his usual self. The Pro-Bowl wideout led Detroit in catches, targets and receiving yards, although rookie Sam LaPorta had the team's only touchdown grab. Along with having at least six receptions in each game this season, St. Brown has either scored or topped 100 yards in all three contests. That puts him in excellent form ahead of Thursday night's visit to Green Bay, where top cornerback Jaire Alexander (back) was sidelined in Week 3.
Sep 24, 2023
Suiting up Sunday
St. Brown (toe) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Despite finishing the week as a full practice participant, St. Brown took a questionable tag into Sunday while tending to a toe injury. As anticipated, the toe issue won't prevent St. Brown from suiting up for the Week 3 matchup, though the wideout acknowledged that he'll play the game with a steel plate in his shoe. According to ESPN.com, St. Brown said that he has previously played with a plate in his shoe during his high school days, so assuming he experiences no discomfort, his snaps aren't expected to affected Sunday.
Sep 24, 2023
Expected to play Sunday
St. Brown (toe) is expected to suit up versus the Falcons on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown is listed as questionable for Week 3 despite having practiced in full Friday, but the expectation is that he'll be on the field versus Atlanta. Official word on St. Brown's status should come roughly 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. There's a chance St. Brown faces some workload limitations, though, considering that he plans to play with a steel plate in his shoe, and the Lions will next have a short turnaround for Week 4, with a divisional Thursday Night Football matchup against the Packers on deck,
Sep 22, 2023
On track despite questionable tag
St. Brown (toe) was a full practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown and coach Dan Campbell both were optimistic Friday morning/afternoon, and the upgrade to full practice all but confirms Detroit's top target will suit up for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. While he won't necessarily have volume/workload limitations, St. Brown did mention that he'll play with a steel plate in his shoe, suggesting there's at least some degree of concern about his injured toe. Still, his consistent record of production over the past season and a half makes St. Brown an auto-start for most fantasy teams whenever he's active.
Sep 22, 2023
Expects to play
St. Brown (toe) suggested Friday that he'll play in Sunday's game against Atlanta, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown's comments came about two hours after coach Dan Campbell told reporters he felt "pretty good" about the wide receiver's chances of playing. It remains to be seen how the Lions list St. Brown on their final injury report, with a 'questionable' designation still possible amidst the optimism.
Sep 22, 2023
On the right track
Coach Dan Campbell said Friday he feels "pretty good" about St. Brown (toe) playing Sunday against the Falcons, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown likely will be listed as questionable on the final injury report and seems to have better odds than the team's other injured starters. Out of the five starters that missed practice Wednesday, only St. Brown was able to return Thursday, albeit as a limited participant.
Sep 21, 2023
Limited in return to practice
St. Brown (knee) was limited at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
After coach Dan Campbell told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com on Wednesday that St. Brown was dealing with a toe injury, was day-to-day and wouldn't practice to begin Week 3 prep, the wide receiver mixed into some drills one day later. It's a decent enough sign that St. Brown is doing everything possible to be available Sunday against the Falcons, but his status still will be one to monitor closely, especially with how the Lions list him on Friday's practice report.
Sep 21, 2023
Back at practice
St. Brown (toe) was present for Thursday's practice, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown didn't practice Wednesday, so his return to the field Thursday, in any capacity, is a step in the right direction for the wideout ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. The Lions' looming injury report will provide added context with regard to St. Brown's Week 3 status by clarifying his level of participation.
Sep 20, 2023
Day-to-day, won't practice
Coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that St. Brown (undisclosed) is day-to-day but won't participate in practice, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Campbell confirmed that St. Brown is dealing with a toe injury, per Kyle Meinke of MLive.com. St. Brown departed Sunday's overtime loss to the Seahawks in the fourth quarter, due to what was initially reported to be cramping. The star wideout's next chance to get on the practice will come Thursday. If St. Brown ends up restricted in any capacity during Week 3's matchup against the Falcons, Jared Goff will be left with a wide receiver room consisting of Josh Reynolds, Marvin Jones, Kalif Raymond and Antoine Green. That would set the stage for rookies Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta to get more involved in the short-area passing game.
Sep 17, 2023
Dealing with cramps
St. Brown departed Sunday's contest against the Seahawks due to cramping.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit in the fourth quarter, St. Brown hauled in all six of his targets for 102 yards. Without St. Brown, the Lions' receiving corps is composed of Josh Reynolds, Marvin Jones, Kalif Raymond and Antoine Green.
Sep 8, 2023
Finds end zone
St. Brown caught six of nine targets for 71 yards with one touchdown during Thursday's 21-20 win over the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
It was more of the same for St. Brown relative to his 2022 numbers, which included per-game averages of 6.6 receptions on 9.1 targets with 72.6 receiving yards. After notoriously getting tackle numerous times around the five-yard last season, it was a bonus for fantasy managers to also see St. Brown plunge into the end zone. While it is possible that first-round rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs -- and/or second-round tight end Sam LaPorta -- could become bigger parts of the short-range passing game as the season unfolds, St. Brown seems set for another big year as the undisputed top receiver in Detroit. Up next is an indoor matchup at home against a talented Seahawks secondary.
Sep 4, 2023
Not listed on injury report
St. Brown (ankle) wasn't listed on the Lions' injury report Monday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown dealt with an ankle injury over the last couple of weeks, but his omission from the Lions' first injury report of 2023 suggests he'll face zero limitations during Thursday's season opener versus the Chiefs. The 2021 fourth-round pick was solid as a rookie, but he took another step forward in Year 2, securing 106 receptions (146 targets) for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns.
Sep 2, 2023
Participating in practice
St. Brown (ankle) is practicing Saturday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown injured his ankle during a mid-August practice but never seemed to be in serious danger of missing the upcoming Thursday night opener against Kansas City. It's unclear if he'll even be listed Monday when the Lions and Chiefs release the first official injury reports of the 2023 season.
Aug 22, 2023
Expected to practice next week
The Lions expect St. Brown (ankle) to return to practice next week, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It was originally reported that St. Brown was expected to practice this week, but the Lions are giving their star receiver a few more days. There's been no indication that St. Brown won't be ready for the Week 1 opener versus Kansas City on Sept. 7. "He's doing good," head coach Dan Campbell said of St. Brown before Tuesday's practice.
Aug 22, 2023
Doing well in recovery
Coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday that St. Brown (lower leg) is "doing great" but won't suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The wideout wasn't a candidate to play in Friday's exhibition matchup regardless of health after being injured last Wednesday, so being ruled out early still leaves open the possibility he could begin to practice again this week. With two-and-a-half weeks remaining until Sept. 7's regular-season opener against Kansas City, St. Brown still has time to get in some reps before Week 1.
Aug 17, 2023
Should be back next week
Coach Dan Campbell said Thursday that St. Brown (lower leg) is expected to resume practicing next week, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown won't be available for Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars, but Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that Jared Goff and the starters won't play anyway. It appears that the star wideout has avoided a serious injury, which is major cause for relief for Detroit's offense as a whole. Barring any setbacks, the 2021 fourth-round pick's chances of being back for Week 1 are looking optimistic. St. Brown's health is especially key for the Lions with Jameson Williams (suspension/hamstring) having suffered an injury Wednesday that may hold him out the rest of the preseason.
Aug 16, 2023
Injures lower leg
St. Brown (lower leg) suffered an injury early at Wednesday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown has been working with trainers since leaving the practice field, but the Lions have yet to provide an update about the third-year wideout's health. With Jameson Williams (hamstring) also having gotten nicked up Wednesday, any negative news about St. Brown would be especially devastating for Detroit's offense. However, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports that St. Brown is attempting to work through the issue and return to the practice field.
Jun 20, 2023
Seeking growth as deep threat
St. Brown said that he is aiming to become more of a deep threat, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Only seven players have caught more passes than St. Brown since he was drafted in 2021, but he hasn't topped six touchdowns in either of the past two years, and only once has he caught a pass longer than 40 yards. Ultimately, his reliance on red-zone targets for touchdowns is one of the only knocks left on St. Brown's fantasy game, and any progress he could make this offseason as a downfield receiver would surely help in this area. While he'll also need his coaches to give him the opportunity to catch those kinds of passes on Sundays, it helps that the guy Detroit clearly had in mind for being its top deep threat, Jameson Williams, is suspended for the first six games of the year.

Held to 49 yards in finale
St. Brown had six receptions (nine targets) for 49 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown didn't post huge fantasy numbers in the last game of the season, but he did make an impossible catch with his legs on the Lions' final drive of the game to seal the win and knock the rival Packers out of playoff contention. The 22-year-old took his game to another level in his sophomore campaign, racking up 106 receptions for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games. St. Brown developed a strong rapport as Jared Goff's favorite target, a scenario that should continue in 2023 as the Lions look to build off of a solid run this year.
Jan 1, 2023
Held in check
St. Brown caught four of fives targets for 62 yards during Sunday's 41-10 win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was surprisingly unproductive on a day the Lions found plenty of offensive success, likely a result of the run game dominating in full force plus Jared Goff finding tight ends and running backs for his three passing touchdowns. With that said, St. Brown remained Detroit's most productive pass catcher, and his output was enough for the second-year wideout to notch 100 receptions on the season. Look for St. Brown to remain the focal point of the Lions passing game in a cold-weather Week 18 game in Green Bay.
Dec 24, 2022
Another busy day
St. Brown caught seven of 13 targets for 76 yards during Saturday's 37-23 loss to Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Merely selected as a Pro Bowl alternate this season, St. Brown made history in multiple ways Sunday. Not only did he best Calvin Johnson to become the youngest Lions receiver to reach 1,000 yards in a season, he also joined Michael Thomas and Odell Beckham to become the third player in NFL history with at least 90 receptions and 900 receiving yards in his first two seasons. With Jamaal Williams (leg) now set to miss time, the Lions seem set to lean on the pass even more in a Week 17 matchup against a Bears defense allowing the third-most yards per pass attempt (7.8) in 2022.
Dec 18, 2022
Snags seven passes
St. Brown caught seven of 10 targets for 76 yards while rushing once for six yards during Sunday's 20-17 win against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Having already caught at least seven passes in seven of 10 games he was healthy enough to log at least half of the offensive snaps, St. Brown was about the only Lions weapon that the Jets defense didn't have an answer for. However, like every other Lions wideout, New York at least prevented him from popping any big plays or reaching pay dirt. St. Brown will look to remain a key cog in Detroit's passing attack in a Week 16 matchup with Carolina.
Dec 11, 2022
Downturn in Week 14 win
St. Brown secured six of nine targets for 68 yards in the Lions' 34-23 win over the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed once for six yards.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown got off to a slow start before coming on with two receptions for 34 yards on the Lions' final drive of the first half. The star second-year wideout is beginning to cede more opportunities to a now-healthy D.J. Chark, and rookie Jameson Williams also appears set to carve out a progressively larger role in coming weeks after recording a 41-yard touchdown reception Sunday. However, St. Brown will naturally continue to fill a significant role in Detroit's red-hot air attack heading into the fantasy postseason, but he'll have a tough matchup versus the Jets on the road in Week 15.
Dec 4, 2022
Eclipses century mark again
St. Brown secured 11 of 12 targets for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions' 40-14 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. He also rushed once for two yards.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown unsurprisingly paced the Lions in catches, receiving yards and targets despite taking a couple of particularly hard hits throughout the course of the game where he appeared to have the wind knocked out of him. The star second-year wideout bounced back to cap off his afternoon with a four-yard grab with just under three minutes remaining to seal his second multi-touchdown effort of the season. St. Brown carries a 76-830-6 line into a key home Week 14 matchup against the Vikings, with the touchdown tally a new career best.
Nov 24, 2022
Feasts on Bills secondary
St. Brown caught nine of 10 targets for 122 yards with one touchdown while rushing once for seven yards during Thursday's 28-25 loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
The Bills didn't have much of an answer for St. Brown, who has been a menace in 2022 when he doesn't seem to be the only above-average wideout the Lions have on the field. In the four games in which DJ Chark and his 4.3 speed has logged more than 10 offensive snaps, St. Brown now has 32 receptions for 375 receiving yards with four touchdowns. Considering those numbers are somehow in line with his explosive 2021 breakout, it will be interesting to see if St. Brown can maintain his productive ways now that Detroit's offense is getting significantly healthier. Next up is a Week 13 matchup against a Jaguars defense that has been much better against the run than the pass in 2022.
Nov 20, 2022
Gains 80 yards in win
St. Brown hauled in seven of eight targets for 76 yards and rushed once for four yards in Sunday's 31-18 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown did the heavy lifting for Detroit's passing game, pacing the team in all passing categories in an upset victory. The Lions' rushing attack took care of all of the scoring with four touchdowns from in close, much to the chagrin of St. Brown's fantasy managers. That seems to be a recurring theme for the star wideout, who has been held scoreless since visiting the end zone three times in the first two games of the campaign. St. Brown still carries a solid 56/594/3 line heading into a Thanksgiving matchup against the Bills on Thursday.
Nov 13, 2022
Tops century mark in win
St. Brown caught 10 of 11 targets for 119 yards in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
He also added two yards on one carry. St. Brown reached triple digits in yards for the first time since Week 2 while setting a new season high in receptions, and he appears to be back in his early-season form heading into a Week 11 clash with the Giants.
Nov 6, 2022
Leads quiet passing attack
St. Brown hauled in four of nine targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 15-9 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown didn't post gaudy totals, but he did pace the Lions in every notable receiving category outside of touchdowns. After a red-hot start to the season, the 23-year-old has seen his production taper as defenses key in on Detroit's top wide receiver. St. Brown remains Jared Goff's favorite target with a 9.8 target average in the five games the duo has started and finished this season. The heavy volume and and a favorable matchup keeps St. Brown in must-start territory against the Bears next Sunday.
Oct 30, 2022
Solid showing in Week 8 loss
St. Brown (concussion protocol) brought in seven of 10 targets for 69 yards in the Lions' 31-27 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown cleared concussion protocol over the weekend and was able to get through the game without incident, leading the Lions in receptions and targets in the process. The second-year wideout averaged a modest 9.9 yards per grab in his usual short-area role, but he continued to reward fantasy managers with a safe floor, particularly in PPR formats. With his most productive showing since Week 2 now under his belt, St. Brown will carry some momentum into a Week 9 home NFC North clash against the Packers.
Oct 30, 2022
Suiting up Sunday
St. Brown (concussion protocol) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown played limited snaps in both of the Lions' last two games, the first in Week 5 while he was well below 100 percent due to a right ankle sprain and the second in Week 7 after he suffered a concussion in the first half of a loss to the Cowboys. The wideout is now further removed from the ankle sprain and was able to clear the concussion protocol shortly after putting in a full practice Friday, so St. Brown could be in decent position to approach the high-end fantasy production he delivered in the first three weeks of the season. In those contests, St. Brown delivered a 23-253-3 receiving line on 33 targets while also carrying twice for 68 yards.
Oct 30, 2022
On track to play Sunday
St. Brown has reportedly progressed through the NFL's concussion protocol and is in line to play Sunday against the Dolphins, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
ANALYSIS
After being limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday, St. Brown, who the Lions listed as questionable for the contest, was deemed a full participant Friday. Final confirmation of his Week 8 status will arrive when the team's inactives are posted ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but it looks like the wideout, who has recorded a 28/275/3 receiving line (on 40 targets) in five games to date, will be available versus Miami.
Oct 28, 2022
Listed as questionable
Brown (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown still needs to clear concussion protocol and thus is listed as questionable, though coach Dan Campbell said Friday morning that he thought this star slot receiver would play, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports. If so, it'll be the healthy the Detroit offense has been since September, with RB D'Andre Swift, WR Josh Reynolds and TE TJ Hockenson all entering the weekend without injury designations. St. Brown, meanwhile, will hope to clear concussion protocol Friday evening or Saturday and suit up for Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.
Oct 27, 2022
Remains limited Thursday
St. Brown (concussion protocol) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Opening Week 8 prep with back-to-back capped sessions is a fair sign that St. Brown is progressing through the protocol for head injuries. He entered said protocol this past Sunday in Dallas, when he seemed to stumble as he attempted to get to the sideline and eventually went to the locker room, where he was ruled out. St. Brown will have one more opportunity to get back to full this week before the Lions make a ruling on a game-day designation for Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins. Elsewhere in the team's receiving corps, DJ Chark (ankle), Jameson Williams (knee) and Quintez Cephus (foot) aren't on the active roster, and Josh Reynolds (knee) also was limited at practice Thursday, so Kalif Raymond and Tom Kennedy are the healthy options at the position.
Oct 26, 2022
Limited Wednesday
St. Brown (concussion protocol) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The Lions' receiving corps is particularly banged-up, with DJ Chark (ankle) and Quintez Cephus (foot) on IR, rookie Jameson Williams (knee) more than a month away from his potential pro debut, and Josh Reynolds (knee) unable to practice Wednesday. While St. Brown entered the concussion protocol this past Sunday at Dallas, he may not have a head injury, as coach Dan Campbell expressed confidence Monday that the team's top wide receiver will be cleared to play Sunday versus the Dolphins, per Tim Twentyman of the team's official site. With some activity under his belt this week, St. Brown is trending in a positive direction on that front.
Oct 24, 2022
Likely to suit up Week 8
Coach Dan Campbell expects St. Brown (concussion protocol) to play Sunday against the Dolphins, and the wide receiver has been cleared of having a concussion, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, so he will need to clear all five stages of that protocol before he's eligible to play, but it appears he didn't actually suffer a concussion after being hit up high early in the team's Week 7 loss to the Cowboys. Assuming he's cleared to play Sunday, St. Brown should reclaim his role as Jared Goff's top target in Week 8 against Miami.
Oct 23, 2022
Suffers concussion Sunday
St. Brown sustained a concussion during Sunday's game at Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, St. Brown appeared to stumble toward the sideline after taking a hit on the Lions' second possession of the contest. The nearest referee sent St. Brown to the sideline, and after a visit to the blue medical tent, the wide receiver went to the locker room without a helmet, at which point a concussion was confirmed. St. Brown -- who won't return to Sunday's game -- thus will be subject to the protocol for head injuries before he'll be able to return to action.
Oct 19, 2022
Practices in full Wednesday
St. Brown (ankle) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
With the benefit of the Lions' Week 6 bye, St. Brown has put the high-ankle sprain that he sustained Week 3 at Minnesota further in the rearview mirror. The same can't be said for DJ Chark (ankle) and Josh Reynolds (knee), both of whom didn't practice to kick off Week 7 prep. If one or both are sidelined Sunday in Dallas, St. Brown would have fewer players to contend with for targets, especially if No. 1 running back D'Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder), who was limited Wednesday, isn't able to make it all the way back. In the two-plus games in which St. Brown was healthy this season, he compiled a 23-253-3 line on 33 targets and also racked up 68 yards on two carries.
Oct 9, 2022
Plays through ankle sprain
St. Brown caught four of six targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 29-0 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Working through an ankle sprain, St. Brown was hardly effective on a day the Lions offense could hardly get into field-goal range. Jared Goff instead turned to Josh Reynolds, who was targeted 10 times and led Lions players in most receiving categories for a second straight week. Hopefully the Lions Week 6 bye will allow St. Brown to get his ankle to full health with a Week 7 meeting against Dallas on the horizon.
Oct 9, 2022
Back in action Sunday
St. Brown (ankle) is listed as active Sunday at New England.
ANALYSIS
After failing to practice and not playing Week 4 against the Seahawks, St. Brown didn't get back on the field until Friday, when he had a cap on his reps. He made an early departure from that session to focus on rehab before the Lions tabbed him as questionable for Week 5. The decision to make St. Brown available (or not) came down to a game-time call, and the team has opted for the former with its top wide receiver. While St. Brown may not be 100 percent, he averaged 11 targets per game and scored three TDs in his three appearances this season, so he should see regular looks from quarterback Jared Goff in an offense that's down running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) and wide receiver DJ Chark (ankle).
Oct 9, 2022
Trending toward playing Sunday
St. Brown (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, is expected to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Just a few hours before Pelissero's report came out, Adam Schefter of ESPN relayed that St. Brown was viewed as more of a true game-time decision, so fantasy managers planning on deploying the wideout will still want to check back in on his status 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when Detroit releases its inactive list. After sitting out the Week 4 shootout loss to the Seahawks on account of the right ankle sprain, St. Brown managed only one limited practice this week. Though St. Brown likely wouldn't be on much of a restricted snap count if he's active Sunday, he could struggle to match the excellent production he turned in over the first three weeks of the season in his first game coming off the ankle injury.
Oct 9, 2022
True game-time decision
St. Brown (ankle), who's listed as questionable, is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was sidelined for the team's Week 4 loss to Seattle due to the ankle injury and didn't practice this week until logging a limited session Friday. The Lions may elect to be cautious with their top wideout and hold him out until after the team's Week 6 bye, similar to what they are doing with running back D'Andre Swift. Regardless, if St. Brown is available, he's a must-start after his hot start to the campaign, so fantasy managers should confirm his status ahead of Sunday's 1:00 PM ET kickoff before setting lineups.
Oct 7, 2022
Listed as questionable after LP
St. Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against New England after returning to practice Friday as a limited participant.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown declined to provide an update on his status, merely telling reporters that he was going for rehab work right after practice, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. St. Brown thus appears truly questionable entering the weekend, while fellow wideout DJ Chark (ankle) has been ruled out and Josh Reynolds (ankle) is listed as questionable but seems more likely to play. The Patriots and Lions have an early kickoff at 1:00 p.m. ET, with inactive lists due around 11:30 a.m.
Oct 7, 2022
Returns to practice
St. Brown (ankle) returned to practice Friday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown's return at the end of the week could set him up for a 'questionable' designation on the final injury report. He hasn't practiced since injuring his ankle in a Week 3 loss to the Vikings.
Oct 6, 2022
Still absent from practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Both of the Lions' top skill-position players were absent from the field for the second day in a row to begin Week 5 prep, as running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) was also sitting out the session. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com suggested that the Lions are planning to hold Swift out Sunday in New England with the hope of having him back to full strength coming out of a Week 6 bye, but it's unclear if the team intends to follow a similar blueprint with St. Brown. Like Swift, St. Brown sat out last week's 48-45 loss to the Seahawks, but the receiver's sprained right ankle may not be as worrisome of an injury as Swift's sprained shoulder and lingering ankle issue. Whatever the case, St. Brown's activity at Friday's practice -- or lack thereof -- will likely help determine his status for this weekend's matchup with the Patriots.
Oct 5, 2022
No return to practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Neither are DJ Chark or Josh Reynolds, both also nursing ankle injuries. Reynolds played through his and put up a 7-81-1 receiving line in a 48-45 loss to Seattle this past Sunday, while St. Brown and Chark both were inactive for the contest. The Lions play in New England this Sunday and then have a bye Week 6.
Sep 30, 2022
Ruled out for Week 4
St. Brown (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown suffered a right ankle sprain Week 3 and will need to miss at least one game while he recovers, making his next chance to return Oct. 09 versus the Patriots. Meanwhile, DJ Chark (ankle) is expected to play, while D'Andre Swift (shoulder) is likely out, per Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site. In St. Brown's stead, Josh Reynolds (ankle) and tight end T.J. Hockenson (foot) could both benefit from increased target volume, as long as they're also cleared to play.
Sep 29, 2022
Sidelined for another practice
St. Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The right ankle sprain that St. Brown picked up the Lions' Week 3 loss to the Vikings was initially believed to be a minor concern, but the second-year wideout's absence from back-to-back practices to begin Week 4 prep would seem to suggest otherwise. The Lions may just be exercising some caution with their No. 1 receiver early in the week, but St. Brown will likely need to get back on the field in some capacity Friday for fantasy managers to feel good about his chances of playing Sunday against the Seahawks. St. Brown isn't the only banged-up Lions pass catcher as the weekend approaches; top back D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) and fellow starting wideout DJ Chark (ankle) were both absent from practice Thursday, while receiver Josh Reynolds (ankle) and tight end T.J. Hockenson (foot) were back on the field after sitting out Wednesday's session.
Sep 28, 2022
Doesn't practice Wednesday
St. Brown (ankle) officially didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown played through an ankle issue Week 3 at Minnesota and still put up six catches (on nine targets) for 73 yards in a 28-24 loss. On Wednesday, he told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com that he's "glad it's just a sprained ankle. ... Just treating it day by day and hopefully I can come back sooner rather than later." Considering his comment, St. Brown may in danger of sitting out Sunday against the Seahawks, so his status should continue to be watched as the weekend approaches.
Sep 28, 2022
Not practicing
St. Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown continued playing after rolling his right ankle in the second quarter of a 28-24 loss to the Vikings on Sunday, and while the injury isn't expected to be a long-term issue, it's unclear if he'll be able to practice this week. Fellow Lions wideout Josh Reynolds, also dealing with an ankle injury, will be held out of Wednesday's practice (along with TE T.J. Hockenson and RB D'Andre Swift).
Sep 27, 2022
Cleared of long-term injury
St. Brown underwent tests on his right ankle Monday, and while the results were encouraging, the receiver's status for the Lions' Week 4 game against the Seahawks is uncertain, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Pelissero, St. Brown isn't dealing with a long-term injury after rolling his right ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Vikings, but the 23-year-old could still be at risk of missing some time. The Lions will return to the practice field Wednesday, and if St. Brown is able to take part in at least a limited capacity, it would bode well for his chances of being available this weekend. The second-year player has been one of the NFL's most productive receivers through the first three weeks, accruing a 23-253-3 line on 33 targets.
Sep 25, 2022
Plays through ankle issue
St. Brown recorded six receptions on nine targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown tied for the team lead in receptions and set up a two-yard touchdown for Jamaal Williams with a 30-yard catch and run midway through the first quarter. He lacked some explosiveness on his catches for the rest of the game, and he told reporters after the game that he rolled his right ankle during the second quarter, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com. St. Brown expects to suit up for a Week 4 matchup against the Seahawks, but his status will be worth monitoring throughout the week.
Sep 18, 2022
Ties NFL record
St. Brown caught nine of 12 targets for 116 yards with two touchdowns while rushing twice for 68 yards during Sunday's 36-27 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Through two games, it seems as if preseason concerns that St. Brown wouldn't be able to maintain the target share he handled down the stretch of last year were significantly overblown. While perhaps benefiting from an inviting matchup with the Commanders down Kamren Curl (thumb) in this one, St. Brown nonetheless racked up yet another productive fantasy outing. In fact, he has now tied the NFL record with eight consecutive games with at least eight receptions while also logging nine total touchdowns and some rushing production over that span. Seemingly matchup-proof given his role in an ascending Lions offense, St. Brown will remain a quality fantasy option in Week 3 against the Vikings.
Sep 11, 2022
Remains target monster
St. Brown caught eight of 12 targets for 64 yards with one touchdown during Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Many were pessimistic about St. Brown sustaining the production he had down the stretch of last season when both of T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift were banged up and DJ Chark wasn't on the team. However, the second-year receiver kept on rolling in the season opener, matching the most targets he saw in any game last year while finding the end zone for the fifth consecutive game dating back to last season. With that said, St. Brown's 5.3 yards per target wasn't great, especially since he had yet to dip below 6.1 YPT since becoming the focal point of the passing game in 2021. Next up for St. Brown and the Lions is a home matchup against the Commanders.
Aug 28, 2022
Three catches in final exhibition
St. Brown caught three of five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's preseason finale against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown got to get in one more tune-up appearance despite some key starters sitting out. The talented sophomore is looking to take a step forward after a promising rookie campaign. Expect St. Brown to be Jared Goff's primary target after the two built up a solid rapport in 2021. The Lions will be taking on the Eagles to begin the 2022 regular season on Sept. 11.
Aug 12, 2022
Makes two grabs
St. Brown caught both his targets for 29 yards in Friday's 27-23 preseason loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown picked up where he left off last season, hauling in a pair of passes from Jared Goff on Detroit's opening drive. After recording 90 catches for 912 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, St. Brown figures to remain a key to the Lions offense in 2022.
May 12, 2022
Offensive role shrinking
St. Brown acknowledged that Detroit's offseason acquisitions could lead to a lesser role than he had in the final six games of last season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. "Adding some receivers, I think we're a complete offense now if you ask me, so I'm excited to see what we can do," St. Brown said.
ANALYSIS
Only Cooper Kupp was more productive than St. Brown was down the stretch of last season, but he got there with an inflated target share that was aided by the absences of fellow short-range receivers T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift. The healthy return of those two alone would figure to eat away at a large chunk of the 11.2 targets per game St. Brown was seeing. Add in the fact that Detroit now has two promising perimeter receivers in DJ Chark and Jameson Williams (knee), and St. Brown could see a dramatic downturn in offensive opportunities relative to last year's productive stretch that saw him average 8.5 receptions, 93.3 receiving yards and one touchdown per game.
May 2, 2022
Joined by first-round receiver
St. Brown is being joined by 2022 first-round draft pick, Jameson Williams, within the Lions receiving corps, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
After trying to get by with aging veterans in Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman last year, Detroit enters the 2022 campaign with a significant upgrade at outside receiver in the form of Williams and a 25-year-old former first-rounder in DJ Chark. Considering Chark owns an impressive 4.34 40 time and still might be markedly slower than Williams (who was unable to participate in the 40 this offseason), St. Brown stands to benefit from these speedy additions who will likely give St. Brown more room to work with in the middle of the field. The main concern is how St. Brown's volume will be affected after he averaged 11.2 targets per game over the final six games of the 2021 season.
Jan 9, 2022
Memorable finish to rookie season
St. Brown caught eight passes for 109 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets while running for 12 yards on one carry against Green Bay on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The big game rounds out what has been a highly promising second half to St. Brown's rookie season, one that ends with six straight games with double-digit targets (67 total) while accumulating 51 catches for 560 yards and five touchdowns receiving (76.1 percent caught, 8.4 yards per target). He even added 61 yards and a touchdown on the ground in that span. It's asking a lot of St. Brown to expect him to maintain this elite level of production over the course of an entire season, but St. Brown has only dominated to this point in his football career, both at USC and now in his first year in a lowly Detroit passing game. All evidence to this point speaks to his credit, and he's more than earned the benefit of the doubt going forward.
Jan 2, 2022
Only getting better
St. Brown caught eight passes for 111 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets and ran for 23 yards and one touchdown on two carries against Seattle on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fourth-round pick has been on a tear in the past five weeks, and this effort was his most productive entry yet in what was already a highly impressive stretch. St. Brown had 35 receptions for 340 yards and three touchdowns on 46 targets in the four games prior to this one, and at no point in that span could anyone accuse St. Brown of benefiting from the quarterback play, especially the games featuring Tim Boyle. The Packers defense looks like a tougher task in Week 18, but it's difficult to doubt St. Brown at this point.
Dec 26, 2021
Keeps surging
St. Brown caught nine of 11 targets for 91 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown keeps rolling and has now seen at least 11 targets in four consecutive games while posting at least 86 yards with a touchdown in three of them. This latest stat line might be the most impressive, though, considering the rookie did it with backup Tim Boyle under center. While the potential return of pass-catching running back D'Andre Swift (shoulder) could impact St. Brown's target count in Week 16 against Seattle, it's hard to imagine that Detroit will move away from the surging slot receiver regardless of whether Boyle or Jared Goff (COVID-19) is under center.
Dec 19, 2021
Picks apart Arizona
St. Brown caught eight of 11 targets for 90 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-12 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Quarterback Jared Goff acknowledged during the week that St. Brown is becoming a security blanket of sorts, and he backed it up with yet another outing of throwing double-digit targets to the rookie. St. Brown now has a whopping 35 targets over the past three weeks and it has translated to 249 yards and two touchdowns. Even though this surge has directly overlapped with the absence of D'Andre Swift (shoulder), the season-ending loss of T.J. Hockenson could allow St. Brown to stay productive even if Swift and/or Jamaal Williams are able to return for a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons.
Dec 16, 2021
Becoming security blanket
St. Brown is becoming a security-blanket receiver for Jared Goff, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "That's the role that as a slot guy and what he can do, he'd like to grow into and we're getting there and I'd like him to grow into that too because it's a nice thing for a quarterback to have," Goff said Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Goff needs someone to throw to with T.J. Hockenson (finger) set to join Quintez Cephus (collarbone) on IR, D'Andre Swift (shoulder) yet to return to practice, and Jamaal Williams (COVID-19) out sick. Amid a slew of missed games between the above players in recent weeks, St. Brown drew 12 targets a piece in each of the past two games en route to 18 total receptions for 159 yards and one touchdown. Josh Reynolds (thigh) and Kalif Raymond will probably get the majority of the deep shots down the field, but St. Brown is one of the last men standing in the Lions' receiving corps and his role in the slot could continue to load to nice PPR numbers down the stretch.

Top target once again
St. Brown caught eight of 12 targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
He led all players in catches, receiving yards and targets on the day, as the rookie continues to emerge as Jared Goff's top option. St. Brown has an 18-159-1 line on 24 targets over the last two games, and he could be busy again in Week 15 if the Lions fall into another big hole against the Cardinals.

Snags game-winning touchdown
St. Brown caught 10 of 12 targets for 86 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 29-27 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Without D'Andre Swift (shoulder) in the fold, St. Brown delivered as a secondary short-range option en route to career highs in nearly every receiving category. While he made a number of nice catches throughout the day, no play was bigger than his first career touchdown reception that came as time expired. However, not only was this just the fourth time that St. Brown has topped four receptions or 50 receiving yards, but Josh Reynolds seemed like Jared Goff's preferred down-field target. The fourth-round rookie could have a hard time building upon this performance in Week 14 against Denver.

Snags four short passes
St. Brown secured four of four targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown literally accounted for 100 percent of Detroit's wide receiver production, as the remainder of Tim Boyle's 77 passing yards went to tight ends. If Jared Goff (ribs) remains sidelined in Week 12 against Chicago, there's no receiver on Detroit who can confidently be used in fantasy lineups.

Totals 61 yards
St. Brown recorded four receptions on six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 16-16 tie against Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was matched in targets by both Kalif Raymond and D'Andre Swift, but he managed to lead the team in receiving by 32 yards. He did his primary damage on two catches, with his best effort being a 30-yard gain on the first play of overtime. St. Brown has had uneven production this season, though he's now topped 60 receiving yards in three of his last six games heading into a Week 11 matchup against Cleveland.

Modest rebound against Eagles
St. Brown caught three of five targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 44-6 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown easily led all Lions wideouts in targets on a day when nearly three quarters of Jared Goff's pass attempts went to tight ends and running backs. However, it was at least some sort of rebound for the rookie after he didn't see any targets last week against the Rams. This corresponded with Kalif Raymond's drop in usage, considering the veteran followed up his 100-yard Week 7 performance with a catchless outing Sunday. Still looking for a true breakout game, St. Brown won't be back on the field until Week 10 when Detroit travels to Pittsburgh.

Donut in LA
St. Brown was not targeted with a pass during Sunday's 28-19 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
After seeing at least seven targets in three straight games, St. Brown again logged over sixty percent of the offensive snaps but this time no passes were sent his way. Instead, Kalif Raymond, T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift combined for nearly 85 percent of the targets while cornerback Bobby Price even caught a pass. While it's unfortunate to learn that this is the floor for a promising up-and-comer like St. Brown as long as Jared Goff is under center -- and the competition for targets could increase depending on the availability of Tyrell Williams (concussion) -- St. Brown is still seeing enough playing time to think a bound-back performance in Week 8 against the Eagles is possible, particularly in PPR settings.

Sees another seven targets
St. Brown caught five of seven targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 34-11 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
In the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion) and now Quintez Cephus (collarbone), St. Brown tied Kalif Raymond for the lead in targets among Lions wide receivers. However, only tight end T.J. Hockenson was able to find any success through the air on a day when the Bengals' backup quarterback threw more passing touchdowns than Lions starting quarterback Jared Goff. While St. Brown could continue to see a decent workload even if Williams is able to return in the next week or two, his upside is severely capped by Goff, especially outside of PPR formats.

Shares team lead in targets
St. Brown caught six of eight targets for 70 yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
After totaling 10 targets over the first three weeks of the season, St. Brown nearly reached that number Sunday alone as he shared the team lead in targets with T.J. Hockenson. While Quintez Cephus was the No. 1 receiver and Kalif Raymond popped for two scores, there is certainly room in the slot for St. Brown to continue making a name for himself going forward, though the eventual return of Tyrell Williams (concussion) could throw a wrench in things.

One target in Williams' absence
St. Brown caught his only target for two yards during Sunday's 19-17 loss to Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Even with Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined, St. Brown saw just 43 percent of the snaps after seeing no less than 59 in the first two games. It's clear the rookie is well behind Quintez Cephus and Kalif Raymond in the pecking order and St. Brown won't find things any easier once Williams is back in the fold as soon as Week 6.

Catches three passes
St. Brown caught three of five targets for 18 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
With Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined and Kalif Raymond banged up after injuring his thigh in practice, it was Quintez Cephus and not St. Brown who led Lions wideouts in snaps, targets, receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift served as the other biggest producers in the passing game while St. Brown was only a complementary piece. Until the rookie starts becoming more involved in the passing game, St. Brown will be hard to trust in any fantasy format.
Sep 13, 2021
Catches two passes
St. Brown caught two of four targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 41-33 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The final numbers for St. Brown weren't great, but they would have been better if Jared Goff didn't miss the rookie while he was streaking down the sideline for a would-be touchdown in the first quarter. However, St. Brown at least finished second in offensive snaps (59) behind Kalif Raymond (69) after Tyrell Williams (undisclosed) was knocked out of the game in the third quarter. If Williams is forced to miss time, St. Brown could again handle a large majority of the offensive snaps when Detroit travels to Green Bay in Week 2.

Less competition for targets
St. Brown could see a large number of targets this season after Detroit waived Breshad Perriman on Monday, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown was already in line to have a decent role in the offense with Perriman on board, but there's more upside for the rookie without the previously presumed starting outside receiver in town. While St. Brown seems to be behind Kalif Raymond and possibly Quintez Cephus in the rotation to start the year, the Lions' receiving corps remains as one of the most underwhelming league-wide. St. Brown should have plenty of opportunities to solidify a spot under No. 1 option Tyrell Williams as the season unfolds.

Little impact against Colts
St. Brown caught two of three targets for four yards in Friday's preseason loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The Lions' depth chart at wide receiver remains wide open, but St. Brown has done little to climb it during game action, catching exactly two passes in all three preseason contests for only 28 total yards. The fact that he was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft should assure him of a spot on the 53-man roster and maybe even steady target volume, but fantasy value could be elusive.
Aug 21, 2021
Underwhelming against Steelers
St. Brown caught two of five targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 26-20 preseason loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
After having an impressive offseason, training camp and preseason opener, St. Brown's performance Saturday was somewhat underwhelming. While many of the team's first-half offensive struggles can probably be blamed on QB Tim Boyle, it was St. Brown's fault on at least one incompletion and it's possible multiple drops could be attributed to the USC product. However, St. Brown was targeted five times on his 11 offensive snaps and that was with projected starter Breshad Perriman also on the field. Even if St. Brown loses some snaps to Kalif Raymond and/or Quintez Cephus to some extent early on during the regular season, the rookie seems primed to have a significant offensive role for the Lions from the jump.

Building rapport with Goff
St. Brown caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Friday's 16-15 preseason loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Detroit doesn't have much in terms of established weapons at wide receiver and is also dealing with injuries at the position, which has opened the door for St. Brown to build some nice early chemistry with quarterback Jared Goff. In addition to his two catches that counted, St. Brown also had a 13-yard catch-and-run erased by a penalty. The rookie made a nice first impression here and will look to build on this effort in Week 2 of preseason against the Steelers.
Aug 10, 2021
Impressing in training camp
St. Brown has been Detroit's most consistent receiver thus far into training camp, Nick Baumgardner and Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Tyrell Williams, Breshad Perriman (hip) and Quintez Cephus (head) all having missed time due to injury, St. Brown has logged plenty of reps with the first-team offense. While Williams is still expected to open the regular-season as the No. 1 option at wideout, there probably isn't a wide receiver corps in the league that is less settled than Detroit's. At the very least, St. Brown seems to have an inside track to regular snaps in three-wide formations, and it may not be that big of a surprise if St. Brown can edge out Perriman and Cephus for work in two-receiver sets as well.
