Two TDs in 27-touch outing
Robinson rushed 23 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns and secured four of five targets for 39 yards in the Falcons' 30-27 overtime loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson put together a signature performance, recording four- and one-yard touchdown runs in the first half. Robinson's yardage marked his third occasion over the century mark this season, and his first multi-TD game on the ground as well. The third-year pro's carry total was also a new season high, affording him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 12 road matchup against the Saints that Robinson could be leaned on even more than usual if Michael Penix (knee) is unavailable.

Cedes red-zone work to Allgeier
Robinson carried the ball 17 times for 84 yards and caught both his targets for four yards in Sunday's 31-25 overtime loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
While the third-year back posted his best rushing yardage total since Week 6, he was denied a much bigger performance as Tyler Allgeier punched in a pair of one-yard TDs in his place. Robinson hasn't scored a rushing touchdown in four straight games, his longest drought since his rookie season, as a result of the increased red-zone usage for his backup, and he has just two rushing scores on the year compared to Allgeier's six. Robinson will try to hit paydirt in Week 11 against the Panthers, a team he's scored five total touchdowns against (four on the ground, one through the air) in five career meetings.
Nov 2, 2025
Gets 20 touches in Week 9 loss
Robinson rushed 12 times for 46 yards and caught eight of 10 targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Robinson didn't get many opportunities on the ground as the Falcons tried to play catch-up with a pass-heavy approach, but he was heavily involved as a receiver out of the backfield. Drake London scored all three of Atlanta's touchdowns while leading the team with nine catches and 118 receiving yards, but all other Falcons pass catchers besides London and Robinson combined for only five receptions and 53 yards. Robinson's versatile skill set should ensure he maintains a prominent role in Week 10 against the Colts in Berlin as he tries to snap a two-game touchdown drought.
Oct 26, 2025
Surprisingly stifled in upset loss
Robinson rushed nine times for 25 yards and brought in all three targets for 23 yards in the Falcons' 34-10 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Robinson came into the matchup against a Dolphins defense that had been an absolute sieve against the run all season with sky-high expectations, making his dud of a fantasy performance all the more alarming. The star back could never get going on the ground, and his game-long 17-yard reception in the first half served as the highlight of an otherwise forgettable afternoon. Robinson's early third-quarter fumble was also costly, as it came on the Dolphins' 10-yard line with Atlanta trying to address a 17-3 deficit at the time. Following this season-worst performance, Robinson seemingly has nowhere to go but up in a Week 9 road matchup against the Patriots next Sunday afternoon.
Oct 19, 2025
Solid night as pass catcher
Robinson rushed the ball 14 times for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the 49ers. He added six receptions on eight targets for 52 yards and a touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Robinson struggled to find room to run, with a long gain on the ground of only eight yards. As a result, he failed to reach 70 yards on the ground for only the second time this season and for the first time since Week 1. However, he continued to excel as a pass catcher, highlighted by a 10-yard touchdown reception halfway through the third quarter. Robinson has at least six receptions in half of his six games this season and now has four total touchdowns for the campaign.
Oct 13, 2025
Career rushing night Monday
Robinson took 19 carries for 170 yards and a touchdown while adding six receptions (on eight targets) for 68 yards in Monday's 24-14 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off of recording a new career high in total yardage (181) in the Falcons' last win, Robinson wasted no time setting a new high-water mark with 238 yards from scrimmage against the Bills. The majority of the fantasy star's production came on the ground this time around, with Monday's 170 rushing yards representing another career best. Robinson is providing a whopping 164.4 combined yards per game for his managers this season. To put that into perspective, the Texas product averaged 111.0 total yards per game over the course of his breakout fantasy campaign in 2024. Robinson's domination of opposing defenses should continue Week 7 against a 49ers defense that will be without star players Fred Warner (ankle) and Nick Bosa (knee).
Sep 28, 2025
Career-best yardage in Week 4 win
Robinson carried the ball 17 times for 75 yards and a touchdown and caught four of five targets for 106 yards in Sunday's 34-27 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The 181 scrimmage yards were a career high for Robinson, as he hit the century mark in receiving yards for the second time in four games to begin the season. The third-year RB scored on a 14-yard run in the second quarter, his first TD on the ground in 2025, and he's topped 100 combined yards in every game so far. Robinson has amassed 314 rushing yards and 274 receiving yards through four weeks, earning a well-deserved rest during Atlanta's Week 5 bye before facing the Bills in Week 6.
Sep 21, 2025
Solid all-around game in loss
Robinson rushed 13 times for 72 yards while bringing in five of six targets for 39 yards in the Falcons' 30-0 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
A field day was expected for the Falcons' ground attack going in, but the Panthers defense completely turned that expectation on its head with a surprisingly dominant performance. Robinson still managed to churn out a solid effort that highlighted both his rushing and receiving acumen, but his workload on the ground was certainly more sparse than it would have been had the Falcons made good on their status as solid favorites. Robinson will next take aim at the Commanders defense when Washington pays Atlanta a visit for Week 4 matchup next Sunday.
Sep 14, 2025
Rips off 143 yards on ground
Robinson rushed the ball 22 times for 143 yards in Sunday's 22-6 win over the Vikings. He added three receptions on five targets for 25 yards.
ANALYSIS
Robinson got off to a quick start to the game, with his first two carries combining to go for 42 yards. He chipped in additional long gains of 18 and 11 yards in the third quarter to ultimately average 6.5 yards per attempt. The only thing missing from Robinson's performance was a trip to the end zone, as Tyler Allgeier instead got that opportunity late in the third quarter. Robinson topped 100 yards from scrimmage for the second consecutive game and specifically rebounded on the ground after getting only 24 yards as a rusher in Week 1.
Sep 7, 2025
Excels as receiver in Week 1 loss
Robinson rushed 12 times for 24 yards and brought in six of seven targets for 100 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
As his final line indicates, Robinson was completely stonewalled on the ground by a typically stout Buccaneers run defense. However, the versatile running back made his mark through the air and wasted no time doing so, capping off the game's opening possession with a weaving 50-yard touchdown reception. Robinson would go on to compile exactly that same amount of yardage on his subsequent five receptions, just getting to his second career 100-yard game as a receiver. Better days are naturally ahead for Robinson as a runner as well, and despite the lack of rushing production Sunday, his 18 total touches certainly represent a solid start to his season from a fantasy perspective. Robinson next takes aim at the Vikings defense on road in a Sunday night Week 2 matchup.
Jul 22, 2025
Wants to create more big plays
Robinson recently said one of his goals this season is to create more explosive runs, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson averaged an impressive 4.8 yards per carry last season, but he produced just one run of longer than 30 yards. According to Ledbetter, 31 players had multiple runs of 30-plus yards last season, and seven different players had five or more. Robinson had just 12 of his 304 carries produce 15-plus yards, as he was one of the running backs least reliant on big plays. He wants to change that headed into his third season. Robinson is a consensus top-five fantasy pick headed into training camp.
Jan 5, 2025
Closes season in stellar fashion
Robinson rushed 28 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns and brought in two of five targets for three yards in the Falcons' 44-38 overtime loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson saved his best for last in terms of the 2024 season, recording a new career high in rushing yards while also scoring a pair of rushing touchdowns for the third consecutive game on runs of three and four yards. Robinson continuously ripped off chunk gains against the Panthers' league-worst run defense, and he'll finish the 2024 campaign with five 100-yard efforts -- all which came from Week 7 on -- and at least 90 rushing yards in six straight contests.
Dec 30, 2024
Makes two trips to end zone in loss
Robinson took 17 carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns while bringing in three of five targets for eight receiving yards in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Robinson churned out multiple rushing touchdowns in consecutive weeks for the first time in his young career Sunday. The rookie's late-season scoring binge brought him up to 12 rushing scores to go along with 1,286 yards through 16 games this year. Robinson will attempt to finish the regular season on a strong note when the Falcons host the Panthers next Sunday.
Dec 22, 2024
Scores twice in big win
Robinson carried the ball 22 times for 94 yards and two touchdowns and caught both his targets for nine yards in Sunday's 34-7 rout of the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The second-year running back produced his third multi-TD game of the season while topping 100 scrimmage yards for the fourth straight contest and the ninth time in the Falcons; last 10 games. Robinson is up to 10 rushing touchdowns on the campaign, plus one receiving score, to go along with 1,616 scrimmage yards, putting him in fairly exclusive company -- only Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry also have double-digits scores and 1,600 combined yards so far in 2024. Robinson will look to keep rolling in Week 17 against the Commanders.
Dec 17, 2024
Another 100-yard effort in win
Robinson rushed 22 times for 125 yards and brought in one of two targets for 10 yards in the Falcons' 15-9 win over the Raiders on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Robinson had clear control of the Falcons' ground game once again, although backfield mate Tyler Allgeier logged 12 carries of his own as part of a run-centric game plan. Robinson eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the fourth time this season in the process with a figure that qualified as a new season high. The second-year back has now encouragingly logged at least 22 carries in three straight contests, and he could potentially put together an even better performance against the Giants' suspect run defense in a Week 16 home matchup.
Dec 8, 2024
Strong showing in tough matchup
Robinson rushed 22 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for nine yards in the Falcons' 42-21 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. He also had a two-point conversion run.
ANALYSIS
Facing a Vikings defense that had been one of the best in the league at stopping the run, Robinson put together a workman-like effort that saw him grind out 4.2 yards per tote with the second-highest carry total of his career. Robinson also recorded a rushing touchdown for the second consecutive game and fourth time in the last four contests on a 13-yard run late in the third quarter, and he's now eclipsed 90 rushing yards in three of his last four games as well. Robinson's workload pushed him over the 20-carry mark in consecutive games for the first time in his young career, affording him plenty of momentum as the fantasy playoffs begin and he heads into a favorable Week 15 road matchup against the Raiders on Monday night, Dec. 16.
Dec 1, 2024
Eclipses century mark on ground
Robinson rushed 26 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and brought in all six targets for 33 yards in the Falcons' 17-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson logged a career-high carry total while eclipsing the 100-yard mark on the ground for the third time this season, including the second time in the last three games. Robinson added his seventh rushing touchdown of the campaign on a two-yard run to open the scoring on the afternoon. Robinson also finished second on the Falcons in receptions, making it a highly productive afternoon in every sense. The second-year star next takes aim at a tough Vikings defense on the road in a Week 14 matchup.
Nov 17, 2024
Held to 63 total yards in loss
Robinson rushed 12 times for 35 yards and caught all four of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was far from the only Falcon to disappoint in this lopsided loss. His 63 scrimmage yards marked the second-lowest total of Robinson's season and snapped a streak of five consecutive performances with at least 105 total yards. Atlanta's Week 12 bye will offer Robinson a nice opportunity to recharge his batteries after he averaged 21.4 touches over the past five games. He'll look to get back on track in Week 13 against the Chargers.
Nov 10, 2024
Finds end zone twice in loss
Robinson carried the ball 20 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns and caught three of four targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
The second-year running back set a season high in rushing yards while accounting for both of Atlanta's touchdowns, including a dazzling 37-yard run late in the third quarter that ended up being the final score of the afternoon. Robinson has topped 100 scrimmage yards in five straight contests, amassing 643 yards and six total TDs over that stretch, and he'll look to keep rolling in a Week 11 road clash with the Broncos.
Nov 3, 2024
Piles up yardage against Dallas
Robinson carried the ball 19 times for 86 yards and caught all seven of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The 145 scrimmage yards were a season high for Robinson, and the second-year RB has hit triple digits in four straight games and six of nine so far in 2024. His performance could have been even bigger, but Tyler Allgeier vultured a six-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter after Robinson had done most of the work to get Atlanta into the red zone. Robinson will look to keep rolling in Week 10 against a reeling Saints defense that just gave up two rushing TDs to Chuba Hubbard in a loss to the Panthers.
Oct 27, 2024
Hits 100 total yards in win
Robinson rushed 13 times for 63 yards and secured all six targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 31-26 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson logged just one more carry than backfield mate Tyler Allgeier but outgained him by 30 rushing yards, and he also was the only one of the two to be involved in the passing game. Robinson's reception total was a season high, and he also recorded his first receiving touchdown of the campaign on a six-yard grab late in the third quarter. The timeshare in the Falcons' backfield continues to be a source of consternation for fantasy managers, but Robinson's robust receiving role continues to afford him a solid floor heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Cowboys.
Oct 20, 2024
Accrues 143 total yards in loss
Robinson rushed 21 times for 103 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of five targets for 40 yards in the Falcons' 34-14 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson enjoyed a true lead-back role despite the lopsided loss, outpacing backfield Tyler Allgeier by 16 carries. Robinson's carry total was actually a season high, and his receiving yardage tally was his third of at least 40 on the campaign. Robinson also recorded his third touchdown in the last two games with a five-yard run just past the midway point of the second quarter, affording him plenty of momentum heading into a key Week 8 road clash against the NFC South rival Buccaneers.
Oct 13, 2024
Best game as a pro
Robinson rushed 15 times for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns while catching three of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Robinson scored twice in the first half en route to his best game as a pro in the win over Carolina. The 2023 first-round pick had been averaging 57.0 rushing yards over his previous five contests with just one total touchdown over that span, so Sunday's showing could be the beginning of a hot streak for the talented back. Robinson should be considered a high-end play next Sunday against Seattle and its 27th-ranked rush defense.
Oct 11, 2024
Cleared to play against Panthers
Robinson (hamstring) practiced fully Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was limited in Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, which is presumably the same injury that cut into his Week 5 practice time before the second-year running back ultimately suited up for a 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers. Robinson has underwhelmed after being a consensus first-round pick in fantasy drafts, but he has a golden opportunity to break out Sunday against a Panthers defense that has allowed a league-high nine rushing touchdowns to running backs.
Oct 10, 2024
Limited by hamstring
Robinson was limited in practice Thursday due to a hamstring injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson also tended to a hamstring issue in advance of last Thursday's overtime win against the Buccaneers, so his addition to the Falcons' injury report midweek may be maintenance-related. He was able to handle a typical workload Week 5 en route to 15 touches for 77 yards from scrimmage, but it remains to be seen if he'll avoid a game designation for a second week in a row.
Oct 4, 2024
Compiles 76 total yards in win
Robinson rushed 12 times for 61 yards and brought in all three targets for 16 yards in the Falcons' 36-30 overtime win over the Buccaneers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was disappointingly limited to his second-lowest carry total of the season, although he at least saw an appreciable uptick from the seven rush attempts he'd logged in Week 4 against the Saints. The second-year back did extend his season-opening streak of games with multiple receptions, but after five games in new coordinator Zac Robinson's offense, many of the same frustrations related to suboptimal usage of Bijan's skill set persist as he awaits his first 20-carry game. The Falcons did take an unusually pass-heavy approach Thursday night -- Kirk Cousins put the ball up 59 times -- so perhaps Robinson will see a larger workload in a highly favorable Week 6 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Oct. 13.
Oct 2, 2024
Clear for Week 5
Robinson (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was listed as limited on Monday's estimated injury report due to a hamstring injury and followed it up with a cap on his reps at Tuesday's walkthrough. However, he was able to end Week 5 prep with a full session Wednesday and thus is clear for Thursday Night Football. Robinson even said as much Wednesday, telling D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he's "ready to go for tomorrow." Through four games this season, Robinson has racked up 70 touches for 359 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD.
Oct 2, 2024
Feels ready for Thursday night
Robinson (hamstring) said Wednesday he's "ready to go for [Thursday]," when the Falcons will take on the Buccaneers at home, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson downplayed his presence on Atlanta's injury report, saying he's dealing with " little nics and bruises." He's been listed as 'limited' in back-to-back estimated practice sessions after having also dealt with a shoulder injury before being cleared for the Falcons' win over the Saints in Week 4. Wednesday's final practice report of the week will reveal whether Robinson has managed to 'full' practice levels, and his official game designation heading into Thursday Night Football. While Robinson doesn't seem to be in any danger of missing time, if he's hampered by injury at all Tyler Allgeier could handle an increased workload.
Oct 1, 2024
Limited in practice again
Robinson (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Tuesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson has now logged back-to-back limited practice sessions due to a hamstring issue. As he's facing a short week of rest prior to Thursday's key divisional matchup against the Buccaneers, the extent of Robinson's participation in Wednesday's practice will be telling as to his overall health for Week 5. If Robinson enters Thursday's matchup at anything less than 100 percent health, Atlanta could opt to lean on Tyler Allgeier more heavily than usual in the running game.
Sep 30, 2024
Managing hamstring injury
Robinson (hamstring) is listed as 'limited' on Monday's estimated practice report, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson played a season-low 61 percent of offensive snaps during Atlanta's 26-24 win over New Orleans in Week 4, handling just seven carries for 28 yards compared to Tyler Allgeier's eight rushes for 60 yards. It appears that a hamstring issue may have been responsible for Robinson's uncharacteristically low workload, though he did still secure all four of his targets for 46 yards versus the Saints. The Falcons have a short week to prepare for another tough divisional matchup against the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, so the team may opt to cap Robinson's reps in practice with the hopes of keeping him fresh.
Sep 29, 2024
Takes back seat against Saints
Robinson carried the ball seven times for 28 yards and caught all four of his targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
The 11 touches were a season low for Robinson, and Tyler Allgeier actually led the Falcons' backfield with eight totes for 60 yards. Robinson's contributions as a pass-catcher have kept his floor afloat in PPR formats, but the eighth overall pick in the 2023 Draft has now posted lackluster yardage totals in two straight games as the Atlanta offense as a whole has had trouble moving the ball. He could bounce back in Week 5 against a Buccaneers defense that's had trouble against the run so far in 2024.
Sep 27, 2024
Cleared to face New Orleans
Robinson (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons added Robinson to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, but it's apparently not a significant concern after he logged a full practice Friday and avoided a game designation. He should be fine to handle his usual heavy workload in Atlanta's first divisional game of the year, facing a Saints defense that won't have star linebacker Demario Davis (hamstring).
Sep 26, 2024
Dealing with shoulder issue
Robinson was limited at Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson wasn't included on Atlanta's first Week 4 practice report Wednesday, so his status in the midst of preparations for Sunday's game against the Saints has become clouded. Friday's session likely will be key for the second-year pro to enter the weekend without a designation. Through three contests this season, Robinson has averaged 4.1 yards on his 48 carries, hauled in 11 of 12 targets for 89 yards and scored one rushing touchdown.
Sep 23, 2024
Scores lone rushing TD in loss
Robinson rushed 16 times for 31 yards and a touchdown while adding 21 yards on two receptions (two targets) in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was finally stymied in his third game as a sophomore, failing to break the century mark in total yards since Week 17 of his rookie season. The former Texas Longhorn did provide fantasy managers with his first touchdown of the campaign, helping offset what would have been a negative report from Sunday's loss. Robinson remains the lead back in Atlanta heading into a pivotal NFC South matchup against the Saints on Sunday.
Sep 16, 2024
Another strong all-around effort
Robinson rushed 14 times for 97 yards and brought in four of five targets for 25 yards in the Falcons' 22-21 win over the Eagles on Monday night. He also recovered a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Robinson once again was kept busy throughout the night, logging just one fewer touch than the 23 he'd recorded in Week 1 against the Steelers. Robinson was more efficient with his rush attempts Monday than he had been against the Steelers in the opener, and he was consistent throughout the night while recording a long run of a modest 19 yards. Robinson's usage under new coordinator Zac Robinson has been encouraging, and he'll undoubtedly play another robust role when the defending champion Chiefs come calling for a Week 3 Sunday night showdown.
Sep 8, 2024
Good usage with new staff
Robinson rushed the ball 18 times for 68 yards in Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers. He added five receptions on five targets for 43 yards.
ANALYSIS
Robinson had a disappointing day from an efficiency perspective, but there was still good news in terms of his usage. He accounted for 18 of Atlanta's 21 carries out of the team's backfield and also led the team in targets. Robinson's 23 touches matched his career high, a mark he reached only two times in his rookie campaign.
Aug 17, 2024
Starters not suiting up
Robinson and most of Atlanta's other key players aren't in uniform for Saturday's preseason game in Baltimore, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The list of players sitting out also includes QBs Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix, RB Tyler Allgeier, WRs Drake London, Darnell Mooney, KhaDarel Hodge and Ray-Ray McCloud and TEs Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner and Ross Dwelley.
Aug 9, 2024
Not slated to face Miami
Robinson is among the key Falcons' skill players not in line to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Robinson, the same applies to fellow RB Tyler Allgeier, QB Kirk Cousins, WRs Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud, as well as TE Kyle Pitts. While it doesn't look like Cousins will see preseason action, Robinson could potentially log some snaps in Atlanta's second exhibition contest, Aug. 17 against the Ravens. Jase McClellan, Avery Williams and Carlos Washington are available to handle the team's backfield duties versus Miami.

Sharing carries with Allgeier again?
Falcons OC Zac Robinson said Tuesday that Robinson's backfield mate Tyler Allgeier will "have a big role" and be leaned on at "certain points" during the season, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Allgeier's significant role last year was a big factor in Robinson's rookie season disappointing from a fantasy standpoint, with the former taking just 28 fewer carries than the latter (186 vs. 214) despite playing less than half as many snaps (360 vs. 771). The rushing split figures to shift more toward Robinson now that he's not a rookie and isn't coached by Arthur Smith, but it sounds like the extent of that change won't automatically be what fantasy players are hoping for when taking Bijan in the first round of draft. That said, it's reasonable enough to bet on his talent winning out over whatever the initial plan might be, considering Robinson is an eighth overall draft pick who scored 41 TDs in 31 college games and ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at 215 pounds.

Could be in timeshare again
Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson said Tuesday that Robinson's backfield mate Tyler Allgeier will "have a big role" and be leaned on at "certain points" during the season, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS

Participating in OTAs
Robinson (ankle) participated in Monday's OTA session, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson suffered an ankle injury during OTAs last month, but the running back's participation Monday indicates that it was a minor issue. As the 2024 season approaches, Robinson profiles as the lead option in an Atlanta backfield that also includes returnees Tyler Allgeier and Avery Williams, along with rookie sixth-rounder Jase McClellan (foot). In his first pro campaign, Robinson, who was the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, recorded 214 carries for 976 yards and four TDs, as well as 58 catches for 487 yards and four receiving scores, with his fantasy upside in 2024 largely tied to how much work he yields to Allgeier, who logged 186 carries last season.
May 21, 2024
On track for vet minicamp
Coach Raheem Morris said Tuesday that Robinson (ankle) is on schedule for the start of veteran minicamp June 10, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson suffered an ankle injury during OTAs last Tuesday, but all indications is that he's only dealing with a minor issue and will be back on the practice field June 10-12 for veteran minicamp. In the meantime, Tyler Allgeier should take most of the No. 1 reps, while rookie Jase McClellan (foot) could benefit from expanded opportunities if he's able to get healthy before Robinson. With Kirk Cousins (Achilles) now at the helm of Atlanta's offense, Robinson will be a popular Year 2 breakout candidate in 2024 fantasy drafts.
May 14, 2024
Tending to ankle injury
Coach Raheem Morris said Robinson will not participate in Tuesday's OTA practice due to an ankle injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Morris said that Robinson is expected to be on the field for Atlanta's mandatory minicamp, as is rookie Jase McClellan (foot), who is also currently sidelined. The insinuation that Robinson's injury is only a minor issue is a relief, but the situation will still warrant monitoring until such time as the star running back is officially back on the field. Robinson could be primed for a Year 2 breakout with the arrival of Kirk Cousins (Achilles) promising an improved Falcons offense, but for the rest of OTAs, Tyler Allgeier could get a chance to handle the top backfield reps.

Offense promises improvement
Robinson looks set to benefit from an improved offense Year 2 with Kirk Cousins (Achilles) slated to sign a four-year, $180 million contract with Atlanta, Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports.

Robinson, the eighth overall pick of last year's draft, fell just short of 1,000 rushing yards (976) as a rookie but showcased a three-down skillset, boosting his fantasy totals with a 58-487-4 line through the air. Catching passes from Cousins, who will need to first recover from his Achilles injury, will alone provide a boost to Robinson's prospects, but if the Falcons can finally field a more legitimate passing game with Drake London, Kyle Pitts and new face Darnell Mooney, that two-dimensional offense will help keep defenses honest. Robinson and teammate Tyler Allgeier faced 8-plus defenders in the box 20.6 and 30.7 percent of the time last year, respectively, metrics that will stand to decline if Cousins manages to threaten opposing secondaries downfield more efficiently than Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke did. Robinson will be a popular breakout candidate for the 2024 campaign, with the tantalizing promise of an Atlanta offense finally headlined by competent quarterback play.

Big receiving day in loss
Robinson rushed 11 times for 28 yards and brought in seven of eight targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 48-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson scuffled on the ground throughout the afternoon but paced the team in both receptions and receiving yards. The talented rookie also recorded a 71-yard touchdown reception his longest catch of the season. Robinson finishes his first NFL campaign with under 50 rushing yards in three of his last five games, a downturn that helped land him just short of 1,000 rushing yards (976); however, he complemented those numbers with a 58-487-4 line through the air, and a more aggressive offensive philosophy in 2024 could facilitate a true breakout season.
Jan 1, 2024
Garners 86 total yards in win
Robinson rushed 15 times for 75 yards and brought in three of four targets for 11 yards in the Falcons' 37-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson put together an efficient performance on the ground, crossing the 70-yard threshold for the second straight game. The rookie's carry total was also his highest since Week 13, but he went without a touchdown for the fourth straight contest. Backfield mate Tyler Allgeier logged 10 fewer carries but scored on an impressive 75-yard reception, so the two backs will continue to share the workload to a certain degree in the Week 18 finale against the Saints.
Dec 24, 2023
Strong all-around effort in win
Robinson rushed 12 times for 72 yards and secured seven of 10 targets for 50 yards in the Falcons' 29-10 win over the Colts on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson led the Falcons in rushing attempts and yards, as well as receptions, receiving yards and targets, making him the unofficial team MVP on the afternoon. The explosive rookie's productive day was an especially welcome sight for fantasy managers that were placing faith in him following his tally of 14 total yards in Week 15 against the Panthers. Robinson will aim to build on the impressive afternoon against the Bears on the road in Week 17.
Dec 17, 2023
Forgettable day in loss
Robinson rushed seven times for 11 yards and brought in one target for three yards in the Falcons' 9-7 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Robinson's day was as dreary as his final line implies, with the rookie producing his lowest yardage output on the ground since Week 7 against the Buccaneers (three yards). Robinson's sparse usage was especially disappointing in the context of the fact it came on the heels of six straight double-digit rush-attempt tallies and three consecutive games with multiple receptions. Robinson's fumble was also critical, considering it came at Atlanta's own 21-yard line late in the third quarter and led to a Panthers field goal. While backfield mate Tyler Allgeier doubled up Robinson in carries Sunday, it would seem likely the first-round pick reclaims a larger share of the work on the ground in a Week 16 home matchup against the Colts on Christmas Eve.
Dec 10, 2023
Rushing touchdown in Week 14 loss
Robinson rushed 10 times for 34 yards and a touchdown and secured five of seven targets for 54 yards in the Falcons' 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson logged just one more carry than backfield mate Tyler Allgeier, but he was the only one of the two to get into the end zone. The rookie did so on a three-yard run early in the fourth quarter, which served as Robinson's fourth rushing score of the season overall. Robinson has found running room hard to come by in the last two games, however, netting just 87 yards on 28 carries in that span. The rookie does have multiple receptions in three straight contests, however, and he'll draw a matchup potentially favorable to resurgence on the ground when the Falcons do battle with the Panthers on the road in Week 15.
Dec 3, 2023
Gets 21 touches against Jets
Robinson rushed 18 times for 53 yards and caught three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 13-8 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Robinson had just six rushing yards on eight first-half carries but found more running room in the second half as New York's defense wore down. Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson combined for 37 yards on 13 rushing attempts, so Robinson continues to face competition for touches despite being the most effective running back in the Falcons' run-heavy offense. Nonetheless, Robinson has averaged 18.7 rushing attempts over the past three games and topped 50 rushing yards in five consecutive games. He should remain the top option in Atlanta's busy backfield in Week 14 against the Buccaneers.
Nov 26, 2023
Stellar all-around numbers Sunday
Robinson rushed 16 times for 91 yards and a touchdown and secured three of six target for 32 yards and another score in the Falcons' 24-15 win over the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Robinson led the Falcons in rush attempts and rushing yards while also recording his third rushing touchdown and fifth score overall on a 10-yard run in the second quarter. He then added a a key 26-yard touchdown grab early in the fourth quarter, his third score through the air as well. The rookie now has back-to-back 90-plus-yard rushing tallies for the first time in his nascent career, which, when combined with the 38 total carries he's managed in that span, sends him into a Week 13 road matchup against the Jets with no shortage of momentum.
Nov 12, 2023
Tops century mark in tough loss
Robinson carried the ball 22 times for 95 yards and a touchdown and caught one of two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 25-23 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
It's the first time since Week 4 that the rookie RB has recorded over 100 scrimmage yards, and his five-yard score in the second quarter was only his second rushing TD of the season and fourth trip to the end zone overall. Robinson's usage has been strangely erratic and not in line with the draft capital used to land him as the eighth overall pick in 2023, but with the Falcons on bye next week, the coaching staff could get a chance to reassess the backfield workload heading into a Week 12 clash with the Saints.
Nov 5, 2023
Only 59 total yards
Robinson rushed the ball 11 times for 51 yards and also lost a fumble in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Vikings. He added two catches on four targets for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
Robinson had six carries at halftime as opposed to only three for Tyler Allgeier. That usage flipped when Robinson lost a fumble late in the third quarter, and he found himself on the bench for Atlanta's next two possessions. When he was on the field, Robinson didn't record many big plays, but he consistently picked up several yards per carry. Despite being selected eighth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, Robinson has seen fewer than 15 carries in all but one game in his rookie campaign.
Oct 29, 2023
First rushing score of career
Robinson rushed the ball 11 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans. He was targeted five times but did not record a reception.
ANALYSIS
After receiving only one carry in Week 7 due to an illness, Robinson led the Atlanta backfield with 11 carries. Even with relatively limited opportunity, he made his mark on the game with a long gain of 25 yards as well as a touchdown run of 13 yards -- the first rushing score of his career. With the performance, Robinson topped 50 rushing yards for the second time in his last six games.
Oct 25, 2023
Avoids injury report
Robinson (illness) wasn't listed on the Falcons' first Week 8 practice report Wednesday, Scott Bair of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was the subject of some angst in the fantasy realm for his lack of usage this past Sunday at Tampa Bay, but an illness was chalked up as the reason for one carry and no targets on 11 offensive snaps. He told D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution after Wednesday's session that he was a full participant, which came to pass. Robinson thus is poised to return to the workload that he handled for the first six weeks of the season (17.7 touches per game) Sunday at Tennessee.
Oct 25, 2023
Set to practice
Coach Arthur Smith said Wednesday that Robinson (illness) will participate in practice, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson only handled one touch during the Falcons' 16-13 win over the Buccaneers in Week 7 after alerting the coaching staff he "wasn't feeling like himself" during pregame warmups, but he's not expected to be hampered in any capacity during Sunday's road matchup against the Titans. The rookie first-round pick hasn't missed a practice all season, and it appears likely that he'll be listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report.
Oct 23, 2023
Won't be affected by illness Week 8
Robinson (illness), who carried once for three yards while being limited to playing 11 of the Falcons' 65 snaps on offense in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers, isn't expected to face any restrictions heading into Atlanta's Week 8 game against the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Robinson wasn't included on the Falcons' Week 7 injury report, Rapoport relays that head coach Arthur Smith was made aware during pregame warmups that the rookie running back "wasn't feeling like himself." Robinson took only a handful of snaps in the first half of the contest as a result, then sat out most of the next two quarters before checking back into the contest late in the fourth quarter and getting his lone carry with less than a minute remaining to set up Younghoe Koo's game-winning field goal. The Falcons leaned more heavily on Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson as a result, but whatever ailment was bothering Robinson on Sunday isn't expected to be anything that follows him into the upcoming week. Robinson seemingly has a good chance to turn in a full practice when the Falcons begin Week 8 prep Wednesday.
Oct 22, 2023
Doesn't feel well, gets one touch
Robinson (illness) rushed once for three yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Robinson played just one snap in the first quarter and didn't log a touch while Atlanta went with a combination of Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson in the backfield. Atlanta's 2023 first-round pick finished the first half without a touch on six total snaps, and coach Arthur Smith relayed after halftime that Robinson "isn't feeling well," per D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Curiously, Robinson's lone carry came in the final minute of the fourth quarter, two plays before the Falcons kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired. Whatever was bothering Robinson isn't expected to impact his availability for Week 8 against the Titans, though his fantasy managers would have appreciated advance notice about the rookie's status from the Falcons, who did not list Robinson on their injury report heading into the game.
Oct 15, 2023
Modest production in loss
Robinson rushed 13 times for 37 yards and caught five of eight targets for 43 yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Robinson and Tyler Allgeier each saw 13 rushing attempts, but the latter was slightly more efficient, totaling 51 yards. The rookie was still able to somewhat salvage his fantasy production by finishing second on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards behind Drake London. Robinson's dual-threat ability has been on display to start the campaign, tallying 26 catches for 189 yards and two scores across six games, but fantasy managers had higher expectations when selecting the Texas product in the first round of drafts this summer. Robinson has boomed twice already and established himself as a high-floor option, but he's yet to see over 20 rushing attempts in a game this season. If that trend continues, it'll be difficult for Robinson to finish as a top-10 running back in fantasy this season.
Oct 8, 2023
Contained in Week 5 win
Robinson rushed 14 times for 46 yards and secured both targets for 12 yards in the Falcons' 21-19 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was uncharacteristically inefficient against a feisty Texans defense, which held him to a long run of 13 yards on the day. The rookie's early-third-quarter fumble after a one-yard run also led to a Texans field goal, making it a ragged fantasy day overall. Robinson also logged three fewer carries than backfield mate Tyler Allgeier, but that's likely not going to be the case most weeks. Robinson should have an opportunity to atone for his underwhelming day on the ground in a Week 6 home matchup against the Commanders.
Oct 1, 2023
Tops century mark in loss
Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 105 yards and caught all five of his targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
The rookie running back was almost the only effective weapon for Atlanta on the day, accounting for 46.1 percent of the team's 297 yards of offense. Robinson has run for over 100 yards in two of his first four NFL games, although he's still looking for his first rushing TD, and his success has made coach Arthur Smith more comfortable reducing the role of Tyler Allgeier, who saw only eight touches Sunday. Robinson gets a juicy matchup in Week 5 against a vulnerable Texans run defense.
Sep 24, 2023
Contained by Detroit
Robinson rushed 10 times for 33 yards and caught four of six targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 20-6 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
After a breakout Week 2, Robinson was held in check by the Lions. The rookie has finished with at least 10 rushing attempts and six targets in each game thus far, and fantasy managers can expect similar usage moving forward. Surprisingly, Atlanta abandoned the run versus Detroit, as Tyler Allgeier finished second on the team in rushing attempts with only seven. It's a little disappointing Robinson wasn't utilized more in the passing attack, but that could be credited to the Lions' defensive scheme. Robinson remains a strong fantasy asset given his game-breaking ability, but it'll be difficult for him to put up top-tier production on a weekly basis with less than 15 touches per game.
Sep 17, 2023
Shines in win over Green Bay
Robinson rushed 19 times for 124 yards and caught four of five targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 25-24 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Robinson led the team in rushing attempts and rushing yards. Tyler Allgeier finished with 16 carries for 48 yards, while Desmond Ridder added 10 rushes for 39 yards. However, unlike Week 1 when the two running backs combined for all three of Atlanta's touchdowns, neither scored during the Falcons' comeback win Sunday. Robinson was clearly the more dynamic back versus Green Bay and consistently made people miss, while Allgeier bulldozed his way to yards. Regardless, the two are expected to continue splitting carries for the time being. While this limits Robinson's overall fantasy value, it does keep him fresh for when his potent playmaking ability is needed most.
Sep 17, 2023
Likely headed for workload split
Robinson may receive the starting nod Sunday against the Packers but is once again expected to split work out of the backfield with Tyler Allgeier, Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football."
ANALYSIS
The timeshare arrangement tilted in favor of Robinson in the Week 1 win over the Panthers, as he logged 31 snaps on offense (65 percent share) to Allgeier's 26 (54 percent). However, Allgeier turned in the more fantasy-friendly line (15 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns to go with three catches for 19 yards), though Robinson still delivered useful production in his own right (10 carries for 56 yards, six catches for 27 yards and a touchdown). Atlanta may not be able to find as many carries for both backs Week 2 in what projects to be a tougher matchup with the Packers, but Robinson should still be in store for double-digit touches while also functioning as the Falcons' preferred back on passing downs. Allgeier was used more than Robinson in goal-line scenarios last week, and if that trend continues Week 2, it could limit Robinson's touchdown-scoring upside.
Sep 10, 2023
16 touches in debut
Robinson rushed 10 times for 56 yards and caught all six of his targets for 27 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Making his NFL regular-season debut, Robinson saw fewer rushing attempts than Tyler Allgeier, but as expected, the Texas product was heavily involved in the passing game, leading the team with six receptions. Fantasy managers who selected Robinson in the first round shouldn't be overly concerned with Allgeier's role in Week 1. While it's disappointing to cede goal-line snaps right away, Robinson will still get plenty of looks in the red zone as the season progresses and should be utilized in a number of ways.
Aug 18, 2023
Makes professional debut
Robinson carried the ball four times for 20 yards in Friday's 13-13 tie with the Bengals in preseason action. He also recorded one catch for six yards.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons' first-team offense played only one series, though it lasted 20 plays and 9:51 of game time. Robinson played on that drive and entered the game after Tyler Allgeier took the first carry of the game. He gained 12 yards with his first carry and was largely unremarkable otherwise, though he did manage to haul in his only target. Robinson may not take the field again until a Week 1 matchup against the Panthers, when he'll almost certainly lead Atlanta's backfield.
Aug 14, 2023
Expected to suit up vs. Bengals
Robinson is expected to play in Friday's preseason matchup against Cincinnati, Michael Rothstein of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson was among a majority of key offensive playmakers for Atlanta who sat out last week's preseason opener against the Dolphins, but coach Arthur Smith said the rookie first-round pick will play a handful of snaps Friday. With 4.46 speed, workhorse size and a true three-down skillset to his name, anticipation over Robinson's fit in the Falcons' run-heavy scheme has him coming off the board early in the first round of most fantasy drafts. Considering the high expectations already set for Robinson, it will be hard for his preseason debut to truly move the needle in one direction or another.
Aug 14, 2023
Doesn't play against Miami
Robinson didn't play in the Falcons' preaseason opener this past Friday against the Dolphins, Josh Kendall of the Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Robinson, key skill players who didn't log any snaps in the contest included QB Desmond Ridder, WR Drake London, TE Kyle Pitts (knee) and fellow RB Tyler Allgeier. Afterward, coach Arthur Smith noted that the team's starters are slated to see action in this coming Friday's game against the Bengals, a context that presumably sets the stage for Robinson (among others who sat versus Miami) to see some action against Cincinnati. This coming season, Robinson -- the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft -- is expected to be a driving force in a Falcons backfield that also includes returnees Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson, as well as newcomer Godwin Igwebuike.
Aug 11, 2023
Set for preseason debut
Robinson is slated to make his preseason debut next Friday versus the Bengals, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After Robinson and the rest of the first-team offense didn't suit up for Friday's exhibition opener at Miami, he'll be out there for preseason Week 2. He ripped off 6.3 YPC and hauled in 60 passes in 31 career games, which will serve him well in one of the NFL's most run-heavy schemes.
Apr 27, 2023
Taken eighth overall by Atlanta
The Falcons selected Robinson in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, eighth overall.
ANALYSIS
Robinson (5-foot-11, 215 pounds) is the highest running back selection since Saquon Barkley went fifth in 2018. Like Barkley, Robinson is expected to be a three-down workhorse and a standout pass-catching threat, a setup that should allow him to become one of the top fantasy running backs in a hurry. Tyler Allgeier might be overqualified as a backup runner with Robinson now in Atlanta, but talent like Robinson's demands the first and second opportunity. With 4.46 speed and an exceptionally productive collegiate career to his credit, the former Texas back seems like a potential star at the position.
